Here's a map to tell you which region you're in: US Region Map
If you feel like posting what state so much the better. The reason for this thread is that I'm curious how many TS members would be interested in a US-based get together at some point in the future. I started thinking that it would be really cool to have some sort of TS meet (like a mini-convention, but without the expense of having to be hosted by a hotel or something) if there was enough interest. Activities would be of the nature of hanging out/meeting members in real life, writing and drawing en masse, going out to eat, and whatever else sounds fun. Most likely this would be a Saturday-Sunday affair to accommodate those of us with work and school.
So please, answer the poll to provide for accurate geographic distribution of all us vargies, and feel free to post whether or not you might be interested in attending such a gala at some point in the future (non-US people are more than welcome of course! Travel is the unfortunate issue), or if you hate the idea. The whole notion is tentative at best, but if there's enough interest I might pursue organizing it.
Mods, if this is in violation of any rules I'm unaware of or just generally no-good-very-bad, please let me know and I'll take it down. Just thought it might be something fun to consider.
By the way, I'm from Texas (Southeast). I know there's at least one or two other Texans on this board. What other regional representatives do we have?

I think a meet would be really cool, it would be really interesting to meet most of you guys IRL. =P For me, I live in the north-central region. Missouri to be more precise, I’m close to Kansas City.
However, I’ll be in South California this December, in the Palm Springs area, if that fits into any schedule or location. =P

Great idea Silvanus! I love it. I also love to travel so any excuse for a road trip is ace I'm from VA for right now and anywhere from 6 months to a year I'll be in Georgia. If there is a enough interest, I'd be willing to help you organize and all.

Once I actually start getting paid for my job, this would be a nice little road trip. I like driving XP
I'm from the Southeast as well, the Northeast part of Florida to be precise.

I'd love to meet y'all(Ha! texan poppin up XD) but unfortunately I'll have to wait for a while.... see my parents are the kind that think EVERYONE on the net lies about their age and who they are... so no doubt they would shoot the idea down if I ever brought it up and I would get in trouble too.
But don't worry... I only have senior year left to spend in the nest. So once I manage to get into a collage then I can go right ahead with the meets. But for now this chick is stuck in her parent's nest, living by their rules. Bleagh.
P.s.: I also don't know how to drive and I'm almost 18... sad.

I really would like the met y'all too, but I'm only 14. So I can't drive and convincing my mom would be like trying to convince a brick wall to move with words.... Thus I would have no way, at the moment anyway. When I turn 18 in less then four years, that's another matter.

This sounds like something I could really get into, I could use another vacation after all the crap I've had to put up with at work.
I'm not to far from where Silvanus is so I'd have to agree with her on this case and say for southeast Texas.

... I'm the only one in the northeast so far ...
But I can't manage a trip right now anyhow. Maybe next year.

Oh you people... I'm alternately in the Northwest and Northcentral areas, so you all are rather unhelpful, being in the southeast and such...

hello! brilliant idea, Silvanus. I live in the northeast of florida, Jacksonville actually,(sorry, Mist ) but i'm 15, going on 16, so, i'm prudy sure my parents would flip. like, majorly. they might not let me back on here if they think someones trying to meet me that i met online. but once i turn 18, i'm up for anything, anywhere! wait, almost anything, anywhere if the gas prices go down.

I live in the southeast region of the US. FL to be exact. So if this meet up happened in FL or GA, I wouldn't have a problem at all attending, any farther then that and I would.have to take a plane. So I purpose this idea to all floridians.
Say the meet up turns out to be in texas for example. We could all decide to meet in jacksonville and fly on the same plane. That way its less of a hastle on silvanus to have to wait on all of us who are flying in from the same state at different times of the day.
In any case, I love the idea, and I have no restrictions that would keep me from attending, besides costs.

I like that idea, it does sound ideal. That would be an easy trip, I happen to live in Jax as well XP Though I have to say, depending on where in Texas( or rather anywhere outside any large airport) you probably wouldn't get a direct flight out of Jacksonville, you'd probably have to go to Atlanta first. Just speaking from experience, adding probably useless input.
Oye, why not come down to Florida for a break and spend it in Orlando (Disney)

I love the idea of a TS meet up at disney world ^^ But anyway, I know there is a direct flight to anywhere in Texas from Miami International Airport, so maybe it would be best to fly from there? More uesless imput I guess.
P.S. I live in Miami, lol. XD
