Amoria laid down on the littered forest floor. Fenris had risen over a near mountain. A breeze of life grazed her fur like snow to the ground. But that breeze carried a scent. A snow rabbit scampered out into the winter morning to enjoy being alive this winter. Amoria crouched to the the soil of remains of animals and plants of ages beyond. She crept toward the rodent that would soon join the forest floor. The varg pounced and lost her prey. The shevarg was to quick. She pounced upon the creature and killed it. Though through the great performance, she didn't feel great. Some one was watching her. She heard a leaf crackle in the distance. Who ever it was saw the whole thing. "Who are you?" She called into the mid morning, "Show yourself."

Tarkah ambled through the koran lands in the bright daze of a winter's morning. The ivory drappa smiled and lowered her muzzle and licked the light powdery snow from a branch. She knew what snow tasted like but still she couldn't help but lick it and see for herself if it still tasted the same. Tarkah smiled as she licked her lips. Some things never change.
Tarkah turned and pressed on, her tail was swinging back and forth and the morning air was crisp and extremely fresh. Tarkah found that her spirits were bright as well. Breathing the fresh scent she breathed out again and blew her visible breath onto the chilly frosty air. Tarkah continued doing so, watching as her breath disappeared soon after and she chuckled. How she still found the little things amusing to her.
Tarkah then swepted herself away and padded the other direction. The white drappa stopped though after hearing some rustling. Tarkah cocked her head and padded forward and hid in the shadows. Out before her she could see Amoria crouching and in poise. A few second later she had leapt and succeeded in poaching her prey. Tarkah grinned and her tail wagged. She would become a fine hunter. she knew that. And a fine one she was already.
Tarkah padded a step forward but her paw had caught a dry branch and it had snapped. Tarkah looked down at the broken twig and frowned looking up she saw that Amoria was aware of her presence.
Walking out Tarkah exposed her self and barked, "Boo!" Tarkah giggled and trotted out. "Good morning Amoria. No to worry I wasn't gonna eat you" Tarkah said with a wink and stretched, "Fine hunt that was" she commented motioning to her prize that lay by her feet.

((Running out of Ideas))
"Thank you," Amoria spoke," The only thing that will be eaten is that snow rabbit. Boo to you." She gazed at the varg prints and rabbit prints that littered the snow covered Koran floor. The white imprints followed till they came to a red river. Of blood. She gazed at the drappa. She added, "Since you are here, can you teach me how to hunt? I know how, but there are bigger things to catch." Then she mumbled,"A Herla." And acted innocently as if that noise was just the wind. She waited for a reply...

Tarkah padded over to Amoria and grinned, "Nice catch" Tarkah praised, her white tail giving a wag of pride. She then grinned, and eyebrow raised as Tarkah laughed, "Oh no, I think I'll be just about eating you now" Tarkah said and padded closer to Amoria and opened her jaws as wide as she could she tried to stuff the pup's head in her mouth but of course it couldn't fit soo Tarkah pulled back and settled down to holding the she pups ear in her mouth instead.
Tarkah then released her hold on Amoria and cocked her head. "Ohh so you wanna learn how to hunt them large guys huh?" Tarkah said and grinned, her tail wagging behind her. She jumped over Amoria and landed on her other side.
Tarkah looked to her and nodded, "Alright, let's go. if its herla you want then come on. But mind you, don't be going off to hunt herla by yourself. Your still much to small. I can hardly catch one by myself," Tarkah explained and padded a few steps, her paw prints vividly imprinted in the snow behind her. "Remember theres more to catching herla then actually catching it. "Tarkah grinned and winked, "You gotta find it first"

"Okay," Replied Amoria, with a lick of pain in her ear," That can't be hard, Can it? They are just dumb Herla. That is the only reason we can catch them. So where should we find them? In the forest or field?" She dug her claws in the depths of the dirt. Sharper Claws, Sharper Prey, She mumbled, A herla is not sharp, but it will taste like it. She could almost taste the prey when...

//Hope it's okay for me to join.//
Kahuri sighed as she padded through the chilly woods. The bite of winter had been there for quite a while now, the patches of white snow where evidence of that. SO far, there had not been any blizzard which was quite unusual for this time of year. But the Lera was suffering, the forest had killed most of the plant life so the deer were weak, the rabbits in hiding and bird had flown south. This left the Koran territories a lonely contrast to what it use to be in the Autumn.
As she made her way through the trees in a steady lope the faint whispers of voices caught her auds, which came forward quickly. The blue tinged fae's bushy tassel swayed as she looked up eagerly, Tarkah and Amoria! Without a moment hesitation she bounded forward, coming across her two friends. A dead rabbit lay near the dark hued femme's paws, Kahuri was relieved to some not all the game was gone, yet.
"Hello guys," She barked blithely, happy to see them. "Long time no see. It's good to see hunting hasn't became that slack, I have noticed the lack of Lera still however." A slight grimness entered her voice, but she knew that working as a family they would survive. That was what the Koran was any ways, a family.

Tarkah paused and looked over her shoulder. A single ear flicked and she turned and padded back over to Amoria and laughed. Tarkah licked her muzzle, "Dumb? I wouldn't think they are too dumb. They are fast and swift and they have hooves. They are dangerous Amoria. You must know that. Many vargs have been killed because they were silly and they had gotten hit by their hooves. Be careful." Tarkah said and smiled. She would have to firm about hunting. " That is why us wolves hunt in packs. A kerl cannot possibly take down a large healthy herla." Tarkah advised and she padded toward the eastern side of Koran.
Not far would be a large slope where the land slopes down into a valley. In winter the herla resided there in Koran, where the winds were not as strong and food was easier to come by. "Not far Amoria. beyond the trees over there, we'll go down in to the valley." Tarkah explained when she heard soft paw steps which made her turn around.
Tarkah saw a blue tinted wolf padding there way. A smile grew on Tarkah's ebon lips as she saw who it was "Kahuri!" Tarkah said and padded over to the storyteller and nuzzled her affectionately. "Yes the prey has become harder to find but as every winter it is harsh. But funny you should say Kahuri, Amoria and I were just about to go hunting, in search of Herla. " tarkah said and licked her lips. "Would you care to join us?" Tarkah asked hoping that the agile storyteller would. It would be much safer and easier to bring down large prey when the hunting party was larger.

"Hi Kahuri. Please come and catch some Herla." She then turned to the white pelted Drappa. They are too! They wait until the last second to run. Yeah, they can run... and kick. But the don't use skill. They think if you kick you will be gone. Or if they run you will give up. They are dumber than you think. I rest my case." She turned to Kahuri again, "Do you agree?"

"I wouldn't doubt deer Amoria," Kahuri chuckled. "Have you heard of Rannoch before? I would only know because of my lve for tales, but he was a deer who was known to be herald of the Sight, legend or not he even had that allie of wolves when he went to war. So maybe they have their own secret lives as we do, and call us things like dumb. 'Those furry little demons, they can only catch the old and sick ones in our herd even in a pack!'" She mimicked what she thought a deer may say. "But still, I would love to come and hunt with you. That sounds like something to do, I could use the chase." Her heart beat a little faster at the thought of the frigid, pure wind rushing over her muzzle and the energy surdging through her legs. Yes, that was just what she needed.

((I love that song, And Breakaway (there is another person joining ShadowClan!) (crappy)))
"Should we get more people for our hunting party?" Amoria asked through the silence of the vargs as wind rustled over head of ancestors strengthening the vargs for their hunt ," Wouldn't it be dangerous as you say. I would love to hunt in a group! And Mom.....Explain more about this Rannoch..."

Tarkah grinned and her tail wagged estatically when Kahuri agreed to join in with their hunt. Tarkah then sat back and listened to kahuri explain the story of Rannoch. The ivory drappa grinned, she had loved hearing Kahuri's stories, even though soem the drappa had heard before.
Tarkah licked her lips and looked to Amoria. "Hmm that wouldn't be such a bad idea." Tarkah wondered and lifted her head up into the sky, sending out a loud summoning howl. The Hunting howl. Tarkah called and then her voice began to fade as her song ended.
Takign a breath she turned to look at Kahuri and Amoria, "Hopefully they'll come" Tarkah said licking her lips.

Amoria listened to the melodic howl that carried note after note across Koran border and into the world all around them. " When I become a Lead Huntess," Amoria Pondered," Do I get to do that Beautiful howl like yours?" If a Varg could blush, her brown and ebony fur would be as red as the bood sunset. She wimpered silently at acting stupid in front of the Drappa and her adopted mother. She repeated in her head... I blew it. I blew it. I blew it.

”Well, like us and the Sight the deer have there own lore, and verse. However I cannot recall it…” For a moment the she-wolf was silent, eyes closed. Suddenly they came open once more, her bright emerald eyes shining. “Yes, yes that was it!” Suddenly she raised her muzzle and then began the telling of the verse; ”When the lore us bruised and broken, Shattered like a blasted tree, Then Herne be justly woken, Born to set the Herla Free.
On his brow a leaf of oaken, Changeling child shall be his fate. Understanding words strange spoken, Chased by anger, fear, and hate.
He shall flee o'er hill and heather, And shall go where no deer can, Knowing secrets dark to Lera. Till his need shall summon man.
Air & Water, Earth & Fire, All shall ease his bitter pain, Till the elements conspire To restore the Island Chain.
First the high land grass shall flower, As he quests through wind and snow, Then he breaks an ancient power, And returns to face his woe.
When lord of lies upbraids him, Then his wrath shall cloak the sun, And Herla's foe shall aid him To confront the evil one.
Sacrifice shall be his meaning, He the darkest secret learn, Truths of beast and mean revealing, Touching the heart of Herne.
Fawn of moonlight ever after, So shall the Herla sing. For his days shall herald laughter, Born a healer and a king.” Pg 21 & 22 Fire Bringer
Kahuri looked back down at Amoria, a grave smile settled across her muzzle as she thought of the meaning to all the words. “Rannoch, like the tale of Larka and the Sight was condemned to the verse. Because of it he had to flee because of what others believed about the power he wield. But, he lived a long and happy life, dying simply from old age.” The fae nodded, she looked up once more as Tarkah called to the rest of the Koran. “Yes, it would be best if others would be here to help, that would make things much easier.” ”When I become Lead Huntress, will I get a beautiful howl like yours?” Kahuri's emerald eyes danced with laughter as she looked from Amoria to Tarkah. “I'm sure you already have a wonderful voice Amoria, just wait. It will come.”
//I did get the verse from the book just to let ya know, I didn't make it up.//

Phantom's ears quivered as she arrived, just in time to hear the Herla's verse. A grim formed on her maw. She had heard that story long ago, in her cubhhod. It brought forth memories of her dearest brother...of his kindness, wisdom and love...
"I agree with Kahuri, Amoria," Phantom said as she appeared through the trees. "Soon your howl will be beautiful and strong, the song of the hunter."
Her dark tail waved in greeting. "Hello Tarkah, Kahuri. I see you've been hunting. How are the Lera this winter?"

(i have approximatly 2 minutes to write this post and 20 seconds has now officially been wasted on writing ooc chat stuff!)
Tarkah leaned in and listened to Kahuri's tale, The ivory drappa's snow white tassel swishing back and forth behind her as she listened to the verse retold by Kahuri. Tarkah remembered this one, but it had been a long while ago since she had last heard the lore. And though Tarkah knew what it was about. Basically a herla and some prophocy, thought Tarkah. Though she still didn't knwo what it was on entirely. Perhaps one day Kahuri would tell the whole story to the pack.
After the story Tarkah had howled a hunting call to the rest of Koran hoping that they would come and aid and if they were lucky and were able to hunt down their prey then a large feast they would have. But Herla were scarce and Koran was lucky or in the valley was where they lived and here the chance of spottign a herla was much better then in the other packlands, save maybe Ge rad and Deor.
Tarkah lowered her muzzle and grinned lookign down at Amoria she smiled and licked the she wolf on the muzzle. "Kahuri is right, your howl is beautiful." Tarkah said nudging her neck fluff. The drappa looked up when she heard the voice of Phantom reassuring Amoria as well. Tarkah smiled and padded a few steps outward to give her beta wolf a nuzzle of greeting. Tarkah looked around and then back to Amoria. "And yes, yo will get to do it everytime, in fact" Tarkah said with a puppyish grin, "Why don't you give it a shot right now." Tarkah said, "Go on, call the rest of Koran, oh lead huntress to be" Tarkah exclaimed with a small leap in her steps before sitting back on her haunces, her golden eyes planted o nthe young form of Amoria.
(sorry with all the spellign errors, but must go ack! toodles!)
