Mist smiles slightly as she hears her daughter's enthusiastic greeting. Turning away from the wind to protect her face, she looks at Cagalli and nods. "Yes, that shelter is certainly better than nothing, but if we could find the dens we would spend a much warmer, more comfortable night." At Cagalli's suggestion, she nods again and then glances back at the overhang where the other two faes still were. "You are right. We should hurry. I have been here long enough that I think I can find my way even in this storm. Come daughter, we will return as soon as we may, and get Farrah and Fenore to shelter.
(Cagalli, it is a good post, dearie! Sorry for the shortness of mine, I'm at school and don't have time for more...)

Cagalli nodded "Right then let us go" she began padding forward then realized that it should be Mist leading her toward the dens. She wondered if Diyasa was alright that cub was always wandering off despite what she warned him. Sighing she fell in behind her mother, news had reached the feas ears of her mate leaving the forest and his family. It bugged her and tugged at her heart but she was all the four cubs had left and would stay strong for them. Though she didn't have the heart to tell them that their father had gotten up and left them. She looked up and trotted to keep up with Mist.
She wondered somewhat, thinking of her life as it stood and found a numb joy, the reasons she was gone away for so long brought the joy to her. Finding her lost cubs and bringing them home finally...though this storm stopped her from doing so. Diyasa and the other two were probably alright...."Mother....once we find the shelter here, I must go back out of the packlands for a while...I must bring Diyasa and the other two cubs to the shelter as well. I feel bad for leaving them alone for so long"
<<X3 craptastic once more! lol sorry for the lameness again I promise I'll start getting better at it!>>

In the snow and cold, Mist doesn't realize Cagalli's pause. She steps ahead of her daughter, again lowering her eyes to protect them from the wind. She scents the air as best she can before striking out determinedly slightly west of south. She silently breathes a sigh of thanks that she grew up here and knows the land as well as anyone. It is hard as it is to see any landmarks in this weather.
She looks beside her at her daughter, and with a mother's instinct for when things are wrong, asks, "Cagalli, where is the rest of your family, darling?" Since they were born, I have only seen Fenore. What happened, dear?" She asks these questions concernedly, as Cagalli's family had seemed so strong and supportive. There has to be some reason for their absence other than the extreme cold and the difficulty of traveling in the winter. Having been temporarily absent from the pack for a few days, Mist feels like something has happened that no one mentions, or that there is something that has come over the pack, even if no one knows exactly what it is.
At her daughter's words, she pauses and looks at Cagalli. "Surely they're not by themselves all this time, Cagalli? In this weather, if they are not alone, it would probably be best to wait until it stops snowing... which hopefully will be soon." She says this last looking up at the sky. The snow had been heavy for a long time. The blizzard should cease within the next few hours. Seeing Cagalli frown, she smiles in slight apology for her words, which may have sounded harsh and unkind. "Perhaps we should just go back to the overhang and get Farrah and Fenore. If we all make it to the dens then we can stay there together anyway..."
(Erg, sorry if this doesn't flow well/isn't very good I wrote the first part a couple of days ago and couldn't post because TS wasn't working, so if you don't like it ^_^ tell me, and I can change it.)

((Wow...Thanksgiving break took a leedle longer than expected...too much eggnog over Christmas. If I was supposed to be watching da baby, I think she's dead. Oops. )) Farrah shook herself. Fridged wind blew against her face, making her squint. She looked beside her and there was Fenor뼯a, sweet as ever. "They're taking a while...I wonder what they're up to..." Farrah said, half to herself and half to her adopted neice.

<< I haven't been on much to justify whether Farrah has killed me or not heh, naw she's a good auntie!!>> The white fea looked up at Farrah and whined "You're right they've been gone for a while now haven't they?" worry came across her face as she looked from her aunt to the opening of the shelter "Wonder where they got off to?" her voice was shaky as she continued to stare out..though she huddled closer into Farrah <<short and lame sorry>>

(Meep! I'm so sorry! I completely forgot that it was my turn to post! *gives you all ice cream for being so patient and not yelling at me... (though you should have... :-p))
Mist turns to look at her daughter, her golden eyes half closed to protect them from the biting wind. At Cagalli's words, she frowns and then glances back the way they had come before nodding and speaking. "It would be best to just bring them now. The shelter they are in is not sufficient to keep them warm for the whole night if we get lost. We should turn back and take them with us to the cave that Dias, Atrus and Acheron are in." Having made this decision, she hesitates for only a moment, just to make sure that Cagalli was following and would not be left behind in the storm.
After plodding their way through the deepening snow back to the overhang, Mist looks up with relief as she sees the familiar structure. Glancing at Cagalli, she steps into the darkness and almost smiles slightly as she sees Fenore and Farrah's surprised faces. She nods, indicating the outside before taking a deep breath, fortifying herself to return to the icy weather. "You must come with us, we are going to find Dias, Atrus, and Acheron. We were afraid that when we found them we wouldn't be able to come back here for you, so we decided to come back and take you with us in the first place, so when we reach the cave we will all be safe and won't have to leave the protection of the cave until the storm ends..."

<<X3 got everyone else caught up on...just gotta get Cagalli done now>>
The fea nodded "Alright, the cave the other cubs are in isn't too far off from the original shelter that Farrah and Fenore are in" she turned to follow her mother back toward the shelter. Her eyes slits so the snow had no chance of getting into them and causing some discomfort.
As Mist leaves her to stand outside to give the other two instructions Cagalli lowered her head to shield herself from the icy winds that bit at her skin through her winter coat, she found herself worrying about the other three alone in their shelter, shaking the thoughts from her mind she had to concentrate on the task at hand which was to lead them back the way she'd come and to the warm shelter of the cave

The white cub looked up at Mist and wagged her tail "We thought you were lost!" she smiled "Glad to see you return grandmother...Auntie Farrah has been taking good care of me!" at the mention of her siblings she nodded and stood looking up at Farrah wagging her bushy tail "Come on then!" as she bounded out of the cave she saw her mother and a tiny yip of excitement escaped the young cubs maw. She huddled under Cagalli's tall body and looked up at the others wondering when they were to head to the other cave where the rest of the cubs were waiting for them.

((Me thinks it is probably mine...scary changes since I was last here...pretty...touch the leaves...don't follow the lights! ACK!)) Farrah saw that Fenor뼯a> was getting excited. She looked out into the blistering cold and barely could discern the two figures heading towards the small shelter. Good...they're fine... "Fenore! Don't go out into the cold...we don't know what we're supposed to be doing yet!" But Fenore was an inquisitive and easily excitable little pup, apparently, and ran out into the snow, howling and yipping all the way. "Careful! Don't slip!" Farrah was almost as good as a real blood aunt to this little one. She saw herself in this varg in so many ways it was eery...almost as though in some way they were related... Which is utterly impossible Farrah thought, almost aloud. A huge gust of wind blew flakes into her face, momentarily blinding her. When she opened her ice-crusted eyes, she couldn't see anything but white. The figures were gone and Fenore was nowhere to be seen. "FENORE!!!" she howled into the strong icy expanse.

Smiling at Fenore's enthusiasm despite the driving wind, Mist looks at the overhang, waiting for Farrah to come join the three so the can start off to shelter. She strains her eyes into the oncoming snow as she looks for her friend. Not seeing the fae, she frowns and glances at Cagalli and her cub before sighing with relief as she hears a frightened yelp. Padding a few feet North, Mist makes out Farrah's blurry outline, and making her way to the other fae goes up and speaks in her ear, to keep the wind from blowing her words away. "Come Farrah, we're not lost... it's this way, and we must move swiftly in order to get to the cave before dark, if not, we will never make it out in the open."
Pausing for a brief moment to make sure the other fae heard her, Mist nods once before returning to her daughter and granddaughter. Briefly she repeats most of her words to them, but keeps out the small chance of survival if they are to get lost, not wanting to worry Cagalli or frighten little Fenore. Once she realizes they understand, she turns into the wind and with lowered head, pads forward into the storm.
(Eh, not much for you all to go on, but I don't want to get to far ahead or do something that you wouldn't like... or anything like that...)

((WEEEEE!!! Coming dear...what would I call you if I'm their cuddly adoptive auntie? Would I call you mumsy or what? Wot wot?!)) Thank Tor Farrah thought, her favorite phrase resounding in her head. The blurry outline of Mist came through and beckoned her to follow. Farrah immediately swirled in behind the older vargie, and began to follow dilligently, trying not to let the freezing cold shards digging into her skin bother her. ((Me will not get too far ahead either for similarly stated reasons above which you view to your disgression and legal obligation at whatever dilligence you desire so help you. TADA!))

<<Caga says go on for a bit without her, she's gotten caught up in school and doesn't know when she'll be able to get on next X3>> The white cub watched the adults she smiles no fear ran through her "C'mon then Grandma, Auntie! Lets go!" the cubs voice more of a whine then a polite asking tone and her amber eyes almost in a glare more so due to the wind not the impatience she felt in side. Fenorë came from under Cagalli and over to Mist and Farrah but then as soon as they started out she bolted out in front of the group despite the calls of her female family members. She turned to dart back but as soon as she turned she noticed a different scene in front of her, instead of her three elders were dead bushes and trees. She whined wishing she'd been more careful but then raised her head and walked back the way she'd come....had she only remembered to stay put with the group. "Momma? Auntie? Grandmother?!" panic came over the ivory cub, and her head came down, tail between her legs as she shook calling out into the storm again "Mother?! Auntie?! Grandmother?!" suddenly she found herself lifting ivory muzzle to the darkened skies and a tiny howl escaped her. <<ehh wanted to go on Farrah's idea of Fenore running off and losing sight of her >>

Mist nods at Cagalli and Fenore when she reaches them, signalling both that Farrah is safe and that they are to continue now. Then, as Fenore dashes away, she shakes her head slightly before springing forward after the young white cub. Having had experience both with bad snowstorms and with troublemaking young cubs, she knows that it would be a disaster if her granddaughter were to get too far away and lost. She pauses, frantically looking around, afraid that she had already failed in her duty. Just about to howl, she hears a tiny, frightened squeek of a howl and breathes a sigh of relief, heading swiftly towards the sound.
She pads through the snow and raises her maw to call aloud to the frightened cub to reassure her. "Fenni! Stay where you are, darling. I"m coming! You'll be safe in just a moment... do not be afraid, my dear." She speaks in a calm tone to keep Fenore from panicking, but it is not until the small blurry form comes into view that she realizes how tense she was herself as she takes a relieved sigh. She smiles reassuringly as she comes up to her small granddaughter. "Ah now, come on, Fenni. Time to get back to your mother and Farrah before they get too worried about us." She speaks gently, knowing that there is no need to repremand the small fae, as she most likely learned her lesson through her fright. With Fenore's small body pressed close to her to both stay warm and close, she pads off the way they came, back to the other two faes and then, to shelter.
