((To put it lightly, I'm friggin tired of this pack being inactive, and if y'all don't post on this, I'll come after you with my frying pan!))
Farrah's fur was tussled and ripped in the fierce winds, winds that laid bare the trees and scraped the solid ice off the face of the frozen world. The shelter of her pack abode was not far now...the fortress could be seen from here...or was that just a rock? Or a tree? The wind kicked up more snow, which swirled around the confused varg, mocking her with its brilliance and freedom. One flake landed impossible on the tip of her nose and stayed there for a few suspended moments. Like a day so long ago it mocked. A day you were too late to help them...they'll never come back..they are DEAD! The snowflake laughed a maniacal laugh, and began to flutter away, but Farrah tried to chase it. She lost it in the oblivian. WHAT AM I DOING??!! she thought, almost aloud. But another cackle from the snow sent her into a frenzy. "I'm not crazy! It wasn't my fault! Shut up! Shut up! You're not real! They're alive! Leave me ALONE!!!!!!" She howled this into the wilderness, where there was really no one to listen...no one but the echoing mountains, and a hidden onlooker she was unaware of...

Mist's golden eyes glint in the dim, moonwashed light as she watches the strange, tragic confrontation between the other fae and her hidden nightmares of memory or guilt. At the sudden anguished howling, she nods slightly to herself and leaps down off the cold stone overhang and follows, the wind biting into her even as the snow attemps to blind her.
Angry at the biting wind, she snaps sharply at it, and even if it is only her imagination, it seems to avoid her slightly... or at least not be as intent on ripping her fur from her bones. She shakes her head and looks forward into the whiteness, hoping to see Farrah in the snow up ahead. As she pads forward, she frowns and scents the air in front of her, most of Farrah's scent being tossed to the four corners of the globe by the driving wind, but still enough of it left to aid her in her search.
Pausing suddenly as she sees the familiar shape, Mist blows a snowflake out of her eyes and continues forward. Going closer, she ventures a soft whoof, to warn the distraugh fae of her presence. "Farrah? Are you alright, dear? Come... let us get out of this infernal storm."

((OMT, Mist! Thank you so much for replying! *hugs* *puts away frying pan*)) Farrah looked around wildly, hearing another voice. She swung around to meet the interloper, but through the snow, the wolf, but the snow concealed it's face, 'til all that could be seen was a white varg-shaped cloud. "Mother! I'm sorry! It's not my fault!" Farrah began ranting, believing this ghostly acclimation was her mother. "I couldn't do anything...I...I..." But the snow parted, showing the kindly face of one of the pack's huntresses, Mist. "Mist!" Farrah said confused, then tried to hide it quickly. "Yes. That would be nice...where should we go? Where is anywhere?" Farrah looked around. The world was a swirling torrent of ice and snow, and as the wind picked up speed, large shards of ice began to pour down like locusts during a plague. (( )) There were no trees or landmarks visible, and Mist's face was fading quickly though she was standing not two feet ahead of her...

((OOC: *wolfygrin* You're so welcome! I'm sorry that I didn't post sooner, but I went through a couple weeks without checking TS at all *hughug*))
Mist turns her head away from the wind, attempting to keep the driving snow from getting in her eyes. She frowns slightly as she dimly hears the near-panic in Farrah's voice. Taking a step closer to the other fae, she smiles in greeting as Farrah recognizes her. She looks around to make sure she still has her bearings, and then back to her friend. "Come, there is a small cave not far from here. Actually, it's not too much more than an enclosed overhang, but at least it will protect us from the wind." She scents the wind and pads forward, her head lowered for protection.
Once the two faes reach the cave, Mist shakes herself off as best she can to get dry, and pads as far back as possible. Turning to Farrah, she beckons to come and get warm. As her friend comes closer, Mist tilts her head slightly. "What were you doing out in such a storm, Farrah?"

((*huggies back* Yay! You bad not-checker-of-the-Sight-er-er! I'm definitely voting you for member of the month. )) Farrah followed Mist towards the cave. Once they reached the overhang, they were shielded slightly from the wind. The she-wolf hesitated at Mist's question, and sighed. "I was looking for my family. The pack has dispersed, including my brother, Ingo. I was looking for anyone...instead, you found me." Farrah smiled slightly, but the smile quickly flipped into a worried frown. "Speaking of which, where is everyone? I have seen no packmates except for you in a Tor-cycle. Have you seen anyone...have you seen Ingo?"

(OOC: *sheepishnod* well, I'm back now, and as far as I know, will be on at least once almost every day to check on things. Aww, thanks! You're so sweet! *hugagain*)
Mist's eyes show her concern for her friend as she explains. She lowers her head for a moment before again making eye contact, and slowly shakes her head. "No, I haven't seen anyone either. I... my memories of how Deor used to be sometimes... are almost overwhelming. I remember everything with such clarity that it sometimes seems like yesterday... or just a few moments ago." She pauses for a moment, thinking of this, and of her family... all of them who left long ago. She shakes herself out of her reverie and looks back at Farrah. "Forgive me... no, I'm afraid I haven't seen your brother either. In fact, I do not believe I have ever met him." She smiles slightly. "When you find him, you should introduce me sometime, when there is a convienient time..."

((You're so welcome! And to thank you, I'll post a really crappy post! Yay! ... sorry about the crapped up posty, there...my sister is trying to get me off the laptop... )) "Thankyou very much, Mist. You see, he's been missing for months...I guess that really doesn't concern you, though, considering that the rest of the pack has been gone just as long. It's good we found eachother! We may be the only remainder of the olden days...we are the only ones to carry the legend on..."

Mist nods slowly and sighs. "Where could they all be, I wonder..." At Farrah's stark statement, she shakes her head stubbornly. "No... I cannot believe that. There must still be others here... we just haven't seen them. I hadn't seen you for a while, and yet we were both here. It's possible that the snow and cold has kept them more hidden than usual. The winter came swiftly this year..." She stops there, refusing to believe that they are the only ones left, but knowing that there are truly few left... but not this few.
(OOC: Gah, sorry... not a very good post either... having difficulties)

((Hope you two don't mind me joining in oh Cagalli'll probably join soon if you don't mind)) Hardly visible in the storm the young she-varg padded on almost tumbling over, her amber eyes half shut and all she could really rely on was her nose. She caught the scent of other vargs but being so young and inexperienced she was unsure on where or who the scents belonged to. The white cub continued on. Entering the pack boundaries Fenorë sniffed around again and placed a face and name to the one scent. She came closer to the shelter and stopped nervous, she had been timid since she first stepped paw out of the den. "Grandmother?" she sniffed again and wagged her tail slowly "And...Aunt Farrah!" the white cub lowered her body onto the ground and crawled only head into where the two older she-vargs sat. She shivered the chill wind ruffling her fur. ((Craptastic post from me sorry )) [/center]

((Craptastic? I'll have to use that one!!! And if anything it was a good post, youngun! And I do hope Cagalli joins...she's great at RP too...like mother like daughter...)) "I hope you are right, Mist. I almost lost my brother once, and I don't want to lose him again, much less the entire pack! It would be too much to handle...all that loss...but where do you suspect they are? They've been gone for a while...some, like my dear brother, even before winter began..." Suddenly, Farrah was interrupted by a small voice. "Oh, my dear neice! ((I'm coming up with a nickname for you, 'cause that's what I do, and because your name is HUGE! )) Mini Fenni! That's who it is! And in the reincarnated girl form! I'm so honored! It's been so long! You've grown!!!" Farrah smiled. "You are helping your granny win a bet, you are! That's cheatin!" She grinned from ear to ear, and teasingly cuffed her neice's ear, but noticed the young pup was shivering terribly. "I almost forgot you weren't half grown yet! Here, darlin'..." Farrah wrapped her tail around the child and snuggled up next to her. "Mist, I think we may need to find some other accomodations..." ((Another 'craptastic' ( ) post! Ha! It's probably going to be my last RP in a while...Yahoo! Thanksgiving break! So y'all can just go on without me...pretend I'm going wherever you go... ))

Mist nods and frowns slightly. "I'm sure they are around here somewhere... but I can't imagine where. Ahh, poor dear... you'll find your brother. I'm sure he'll be back." She closes her eyes for a moment, praying that her hope is well-founded, for she doesn't want her friends to go through the pain of losing a family member - be it death or them just leaving. She looks up as she hears a new voice, and smiles happily as she sees who it is. "Fenorë! Darling!" She nods to reassure the young pup as she hears the hesitation in her voice. "It is I, my dear. Oh, come back here more to get out of the wind... it's slightly warmer." She smiles as she sees Farrah taking care of her granddaughter.
At Farrah's words, she grins and shakes her head. "I don't mind being called Grandmother, because I suppose that's what I am... but granny, Farrah?" She nods in satisfaction before continuing. "Aye, the... bet... is going in my favor." Looking at Farrah, she nods slowly. "Fenorë, stay here with your Aunt Farrah... I'll go see if I can find a warmer place to spend the night. Keep together, and stay here so I can find you again. I'll be back as soon as I can." She flashes them a smile before lowering her head and padding out into the driving snow.
(OOC: Welcome, Fenorë!(or Fenni, as Farrah has decided to call you ^_^) *grins and hugs* I'm so glad you joined us! I hope that Cagalli will come too, especially now that Farrah's gone from her computer for a few days...)

The white cub tilted her head in confusion but wasn't going to press the matter of the bet Farrah and Mist had going. It was adult talk and only the two concerned would hear of it, she had been taught it wasn't her place to ask or get into the conversations of her elders. Amber eyes looked up thankfully at her aunt as she cuddled into Farrah's warm body wagging her fluffy tail.
"Grandmother don't forget to look for mother and Diyasa as well! They've been missing for a while now" the white cub whimpered as she watched Mist leave, she trusted her aunt but also missed her mother and wished to see her. Diyasa as well, both had seemed to disappear along with her brother and sister....her father too had left. "I wonder what happened to Daddy and my other siblings..." she thought maybe they'd not wanted to spend anymore time with her and left along side their father who she assumed as well wasn't willing to be her father anymore. She stared at the ground feeling a deep pain in her heart.

Mist turns back at the entrance of the shelter and smiles back at her granddaughter. "I will do that, my darling. But I hope that everyone else is also in some kind of shelter, hopefully better than ours... I will look for them though, and hopefully I may be able to find my way to the den and back." She smiles again, this time encouragingly and nods. "I'll be back soon, stay here, both of you, so I can find you when I come back." She lowers her head and half closes her eyes in preparation for the driving snow.
After she has gone a short way, something makes her pause, listening to the chill air for any sound other than the howling wind. She pricks up her ears as she hears an excited, familiar howl, and turns back in the direction of the shelter. Squinting through the snow, she retraces her steps until she sees the faint outline of another varg. She picks up the scent and, despite the cold, smiles slightly. "Cagalli!" She barks happily at the sight of her daughter.
(Sorry about my abscence... Glad you joined us, Cagalli! *hug* Oh, question... didn't you have four cubs? If so, why are there only three in your signature?)
