Sound the bugle now Play it just for me As the seasons change Remember how I used to be…
The day was falling into night, as the sun set in the sky. One half was painted in brilliant reds, yellows, and oranges. While the other half was being blanketed in a deep purple, with distant twinkling white orbs. A lone Varg sat over looking the land, this black pelt highlighted as bright as his crimson markings. His eyes twinkled they never had before in his life, and at first glance this lone varg looked to be at his peek. But with closer inspections, once would see a different story…
Now I cant go on, I cant even start I’ve not nothing left just an empty heart…
The Varg may have sat alone but he was not a Kerl, despite his constant wanderings. He was no were near his peak, in fact he was years past it, his ebon and crimson fur was growing silver. He was no longer as energetic as he once was. That did not mean he couldn’t still put up a fight, in fact he could still beat any young varg, for he had more then just youth, he had experience, and a quick mind. But time wasn’t on his side, and it was quickly running out. So many he knew and loved had already moved on, passed away. Friends, daughters, sons, his mate… all gone.
I’m a soldier wounded so I must give up the fight There’s nothing more for me, lead me away Or leave me lying here…
His pack was no longer his to protect, and that saddened him most. He tried joining another pack, one that belonged to a varg that was like a daughter to him, but it was not the same. His heart was that of a Dragga, and it always would be. He fought his battles, and now he was loosing them. His last battle was to even just get here. Get to were is was now, this place that was once his home…
Sound the bugle now tell them I don’t care There’s not a road I know, that leads to any were
The Dragga’s options were running out in his mind. There was not much left for him to do. His pups had pups, and those pups had pups, those may have had pups too, he was not entirely sure any more. He tried once to find lone pups to help raise. He really only succeeded in finding one. An ebon varg with golden orbs. A pup that grew to be a good friend to him, and the Warrior of the Koran pack. But as vargs grow, they need parents less and less. And Kai no longer needed Him as a parent…
With out a light I fear that I will stumble in the dark Lay right down decided not to go on
Excused the varg fell from his paws to his belly, staring out over the land with his still glistening emerald orbs. He almost seemed happy that he knew this was the end. He could almost take comfort in knowing he was leaving this world… but was he really? He has the strangest feeling that even though this life was over, he was not going to the heavens to meet the gods, or to once again frolic with those he loved. This life may have been ending, but he felt the beginning of something else creeping forward.
Then from on high some were in the distance There s voice that calls “remember who you are”
He could almost hear them now… he could almost hear his family coming, both living and dead. Perhaps they came to them to, as she did to him. In brilliant dreams he saw her, and she told him were to go, told him that it was over. His ivory Drappa, he could not argue with her, even if it was just a dream, it was real enough to him. He wished she was here with him now, like she was then. So many things he wished for, were so many things he know me will never have…
If you loose yourself your courage soon will fallow So be strong tonight remember who you are
His vision was beginning to blur, and he head felt heavy. He laid it between his paws before him, and he stared off into the distance. He wished to see them one last time. Those who were still alive. But would they come to see him now? He wandered to far to be were he was, he wished to die in the lands that were his home for so long, just like she had showed him. He wished to die with his friend by his side, no mater how their howls and songs may pain him… But what if they could not find him? What if they were searching for him? Perhaps, perhaps he could call to them? With all the strength he could muster, he pushed himself off the ground, rising on shaking limbs. ‘please.’ he thought, ‘please let them hear this.’ he took in a deep breathe and threw back his head. ‘please let it fly to them…’ his song was long and deep, it echoed threw out the land and caught the wind, which flew in every direction carrying it to far off lands “… let it fly on wings of love.’
Yeah you’re a soldier now fighting in a battle To be free once more, that’s worth righting for…
With that said and done, the Varg once again fell to his belly, his focused shook a bit, before his world slowly went dark…
((absolutly any one who wants to join this can! I'm going wait for people to reply before i reply again))

Don't wait for me, I've got a lot to do I've got a lot to be And in the end maybe I'll see you there…
Long, slender legs carried the ebon Varg swiftly through the forests of Transylvania that bordered the pack lands of Koran. A wandering habit he had adopted from an old time friend of his. His very first friend, actually: none other than the black and red Dragga, Zhentee. Often times his mind would wander back to those days, back when he was just a defenseless pup, so different from the handsome and mature warrior he had become. Most of his free time nowadays was spent training with his Drappa, Tarkah, and he hadn’t visited Zhentee in the longest time. He felt horrible for having neglected his old friend, and made another mental note, hopefully not soon to be forgotten, to pay him a visit soon.
Where he was going was uncertain, as normal. His destination was often a surprise even to him, until he arrived. It was never really the destination that mattered anyway, but the journey. The evening air was crisp and refreshing, quite the pleasant contrary to the mildly hot day he had endured. Having a black coat was even worse, for panting offered no comfort. Still, throughout the journey, he couldn’t help but wonder where he would venture to. It was nice, finally getting out of his everyday life to do something that made him feel free. Of course, his pack was wonderful, he couldn’t ask for better, but still… Nothing compared to being free, having time to himself to think, to wander…
The sky was beginning to darken, painted with every warm color Fenris could imagine to make his exit from the heavens more beautiful. The beauty was shattered in an instant as a lone howl split the silence and echoed across the land. Ebon ears immediately perked up and Kai instantly recognized Zhentee’s voice carrying over the mountains, mingled with sadness and pain, though it seemed to call to him. Before his mind had even sent the message to his legs, he bolted off in the direction from which the howl had come.
Without even knowing it, he had flown over the Ge-Rad border in no time at all, not even bothering to offer Tratto’s Blessing. Even if he had known, he could tell that this was something important and he could waste no time in finding his friend. Finally, his golden orbs caught sight of a familiar looking figure, isolated from all else, collapsed on the cold ground. Ignoring the fire racing through his legs and the dark thoughts consuming his mind, Kai raced over to the limp form of Zhentee.
I feel my world crumbling I feel my life crumbling I feel my soul crumbling away And falling away Falling away with you…
His thoughts were confirmed as he approached his dear friend. What had happened? It seemed so unreal that something like this could happen in all the time he had neglected to visit. He had waited too long… Padding up reluctantly to the Dragga, his ears drooped and he whined pitifully, just as he had done years before when Zhentee first found him, and assured him that the world was not such a horrible place. He lowered his head and nudged Zhentee with his nose, trying to wake him.
“Zhentee! Wake up! Oh please, wake up!” He whined. He couldn’t be dead yet, without even saying goodbye…

Here comes the rain again Falling from the stars Drenched in my pain again Becoming who we are
The song reached her, even in her dreams. A soulful melody, the stains of old age removed and youthful voice restored for the last moment. Amore's ears pricked while she slept, listening to the call, the request, the pleading cry for company, for friends, for those who loved and respected in his life. Young and old, living and dead, tied by blood and connected by bridges of friendship - all were being asked to come and witness his last breaths. Zhentee. Even Amore's subconcious could tell it was her friend, the old Dragga. The white fae's eyes blinked open, revealing sparkling pools of azure, already clouded by sadness as she put together the pieces. Zhentee was an old Varg now, years past his prime, probably a great-grandfather by then, and, maybe it was time to die, to join the Drappa he had loved.
Amore came to be just outside of Ge-Rad terra the day before, on a visit to meet an old friend. Her friendship with Kop had first been planted when they had met in the Castle, when Amore, then a shy pup, had been lost in the strange new world of her Father and his ancestors. The Hybrid had been very skittish, and running around all over the place, colliding with Drathlic. Kop had soon joined them, and the two males had encouraged Amore to play with them, until they were disturbed by the Hybrid, Lydair. Though they ahd not seen each other in Moons, Amore's reunio with Drathlic had caused her to meet up with Kop. They had parted at the border, and Amore had decided to rest before the long journey back to the Koran, and had felt sleep creep up on her like a soft wave lapping at her paws. And now she was being called back again, to watch her first friend in Koran die.
Her inherited speed, agility and stamina from both Mother and Father sped the white fae back into Ge-Rad terra, not caring if she bumped into one of Kop's Paackmates, her only focus to get to Zhentee before time eventually ran out. Sensitive nose led Amore to the clearing where he once stood, her eyes staring, shocked, at the scene before her. The magnificent Varg was slumped to one side, as if his legs could not support him, his once-brilliant crimson and ebony pelt now dull and flecked with silver and grey, even white in places. Besides him crouched a lean ebony male, probably her own age, maybe more, his scent laced with that of Koran, as if he was a Member. It was probably true, as the population of the Koran had increased rapidly recently. Stepping forth from the shadows, Amore went to stand beside the ebony stranger, the grief raw in her eyes. "He can't be gone yet," She whispered, her voice barely loud enough to hear. "Zhentee's a fighter, he'll stay with us until we're all here." Her first friend in Koran, and he was already leaving her. Amore wanted to be a Healer in Koran, but she was frozen with pain, unable to do anything.

The unmistakable scent of Koran had lead her here. It was that of the hybrid Amore, who had not long ago been accepted as a Koran member. The Beta femme was fond of the white youth, and, having realized her trace had crossed the boundary, wanted to know if she was safe. It wasn't hard to follow the scent in the clear summer twilight, and soon Phantom saw two, vargs of Koran. Kai and Amore. She gave a howl of recognition, ans trotted forward. "Kai, Amore. What are you doing beyond the borders? Don't you know that..."
She stopped, ears laying flat on her crown as she saw the unmoving shape of Zhentee. He was still breathing, but he looked desperatly oldand fragile, like a dead leaf in late November, still clinging to the tree for life. Wind whipped her dark brown fur, and Phantom realized that the old Dragga of Ge-rad's time had come. Phantom had not spent much time with the old varg, but, because he was so close to tarkah, she considered him family.
" Zhentee," she whined, her voice full of sorrow. Andre had died only a sun ago. Now Zhentee was leaving for Fenris's forest too. "Why now, old Dragga? Why so soon after Andre has passed?"
She bowed her head, giving him a soft, gentle lick on his muzzle. Then she stepped back, ears pricking. She had to stay alert, for they were in another pack's territory. Lifting her head, she called Larka's Blessing to the leaders of Ge-rad. Her howl was pure and true, full of a kind greeting, and sorrow. In her heart, Phantom prayed that there would be no trouble here tonight, that Zhentee would pass by peacfully.

Deep in the night the winds blow cold and in a heartbeat the fear takes hold
Tarkahstood in the foliage her crown tipped towards the sunset skies as she looked about for her fellow packmates. "Where intor has everyone gone?" she wondered as she passed the dens. Her golden eyes looked about. She had to find Kai are to be found. Tarkah gave a tilt of her head. But a motion in the distance had caught the drappa's eyes. It was a black form. Tarkah loped forward her aws bringing her towards the movement. Her oculars pinned on the undeniable shape of Kai. "Kai! the drappa called. But the male had not heard and now cantered easily away. Tarkah gave an annoying growl. "Where is that silly pup going?" Tarkah barked, course Kai was no pup. Tarkah shook out her fur and decided that she would follow.
Her paws began to turn into a fast gallop. Her tongue lolling out as she stalked the male. And surprisingly it lead towards the Ge rad pack. Tarkah paused a bit unsure and confused as to why the young warrior would want to journey their. Tarkah felt a bit of worry pass her. Kai wasn't dong anything suspicious was he? Curiosity now overflooding her she pelted forward into the darkening sky and was determined to find out what her warrior was up to.
Her paws took her into the home of Ge rad. Her eyes looked around the forests. It was a newer part of Ge rad as the old original forests had been burnt down in a great forest fire. Though Tarkah couldn't help but pause to take in the scenes. This was her home. This was where she grew up. The pack where Zhentee and Zpehyr had taken her in. Though Zephyr had passed away a season ago. Tarkah looked about and whined. She missed her old pack yes. But her old pack was no more. Kenyi was missing. Zyn and Cienrais was no more. She had not seen Seara in forever. Aztec had died from a bear attack and Keechak her brother's mate had both dissappeared. There was still Zhentee though. Tarkah thought merrily. The dragga she took on as a father figure.
Takrah lifted her muzzle the scent was still fresh and by now she could hear voices not too far away. Tarkah cocked her head and padded past the thicket ahead. Tp her surprise there was more than one Koran varg (kai) there. Tarkah blinked"Kai?..Amore..Phantom? whats going on? what are you all-" Tarkah began when she saw the body lying limp on the ge rad terrain "Zhentee!"
Tarkah looked around the group "wha-what's wrong with him? We have to help him? Can't we?" Tarkah yelped, her mind racing. No not zhentee she can't lose Zhentee. He was the only father she really knew. "Zhentee..."

(this is going to be really short)
Kairi shook out her fur. "Right theres nothign ever to do." she wailed. She looke about and rolled her eyes. Cwen and Draeg weren't ever around. She wanted to annoy Cwen. Annoy her till she snapped. Cwen. she didn't mind that bitch. but toying with her was what Kairi loved. She cared not thatshe was a subordinate nor what herp lace was in the pack. But oh nothing coudl ocmpare the loathe she held for the amber Dragga Draeg. Kairi snarled just thinking about the dragga. He had chased her father out of their home. This was why the lands of Ge rad now belonged in another's hands. Kairi stayed though. No matter how vile the thought was. Now hte closest varg in Ge rad wold be her adopted brother Shako.
Kairi spat but her head turned. "whats this whats this?" she asked as she saw the group of vargs up ahead. "Hmm lets check it out" Kaiir padded over towards them and barked. She didn't care about intruders or what not. Nor did she care about being Loyal to Draeg and Cwen she was loyal to being a ge rad varg. THe pack of which she was born into. Her eyes grew sharp on the white figure. "Tarkah." she said and dipped her head to her grandmother. When Kairi was a pup her grandmother had visited often. Kairi turned to see what everyoen was starrign at and gasped. "Is...is that Zhentee?" Kai asked shakily.
Kairi had met Zhentee only once or twice in her lifetime. Once when she was a small pup. But the stories The little red she varg had heard were of great ones. She ha idolized Zhentee from the stories her father Bryrpaw and mother Talla had told her nad her siblings. The great Zhentee. Her great step-grandfather. Kairi looked to Tarkah and backed up. "Wha..whats wrong with him?" From the stories she heard. She didn't believe Zhentee could juts up and die.

OOC: Don't have time to read them all.
IC: Delaney was wandering through the lands. She was a krel, but she had met somone. She had liked him. But he was old. She could sence in her heart his time was nearly up, and her heart dropped to be reminded of that. She had liked him, maybe even loved him in a starnge way, but it could not be. She was searching for him, wanting to speak to him, but he was no where. She gave a whimper and carried on. in the distance she saw a bunch of wolves in the distance, and in the middle was Zhentee. She gave a short cry and bounded up to him, tears streaming out behind her. she went up to him and bent her head. Nudging him and licking him on the muzzle. "Zhentee, kae up. Remember me? Delaney? don't leave me. Please... WAKE UP!!!" Her words came out in sobs as she franticly searched for a way to bring him back. She was oblivious to the others around her, it was only Her and Zhentte.

Emerald eyes blinked open and closed, attempting to adjust to the bright light. The air was filled with the sent of many luminous flowers. Lifting his head, Zhentee noticed he was no longer in Ge-rad. Ge-rad was a beautiful land, but the place he was in… well its beauty could not be described in words. The grass was lush, the sky was flawless, and the whole place seemed to go on forever. Turning his head he noticed a large white ball of fluff laying next to him. suddenly black ears twitched, and black legs stretched out, a long pink tong curling out from its muzzle in a stretching yawn. Blue eyes blink open, and turned to meet him. “its good to see you again..” came the she vargs voice. “But you know you don’t belong here… not yet…” Zhentee seemed confused. “Come again?” he asked, his ears perked forward, staring down at her. “There is things left undone. You have yet to say goodbye.” she said as she stood. “Can’t you hear them calling your name?” she asked taking a small step forward. The Dragga’s ears twitched slightly, turning just a little to let the sound funnel in. He could hear them… so many of them too… The she varg leaned down and licked his maw. “Go to them now…”
Emerald eyes opened once more, this time the light was fading, it was still sunset. The air wasn’t scented with flowers. And he was suddenly surrounded by vargs. Weakly his eyes moved to them, one my one. Kai, A varg he could proudly call a son. Amore, the hybrid of Koran, and a great friend. Phantom the beta of Koran. Tarkah his fellow pack mate from both Koran and Ge-Rad a varg he could proudly call a daughter. Kairi, a young varg he had meet only once, and Tarkah‘s grand daughter. Even Delaney, a wolf he had found in the dead of the night, and shared a few tender moments with. He smiled slightly, happy they all came. “Hello every one…” came a raspy whisper. It was becoming hard to breath now, and just as hard to talk. From behind the crowd he noticed a ghostly figure approach. Sitting to watch the scene unfold. That same ivory she varg. “Go on.” Came her voice, but only his ears could hear it. Nodding slightly, he spoke once again. “I’m afraid I’m going to have to say goodbye soon. I wont be able to stay with you much longer. I’m sorry it has to end now. I’ll be leaving so many things unfinished.”
((YAY! My post is like poop! But I got writer block and had to force this out! >.<))

Phantom's howl had faded away, and she bowed her head with closed eyes. She recalled that Zhentee had been Ge-Rad's former Dragga. To die in these lands, which he had loved and ruled over, was what he wanted. it was so beautiful, yet so sad for Phantom to see it unfold before her eyes.
His voice, weak and on shallow breath, reached her ears. Phantom opened her eyes again, yellow orbs paled with sorrow, and watched as the old Dragga explained what they all knew; That he was dying, that he would be going away soon.

Everything is so deserted... where did every get to?
Kahuri raised her silvery-blue maw, her nares testing the summer sweet air. The Koran's scents were slightly stale, proving that they had for sure gone off somewhere, yet how could she miss it? Rising up she swung one of her limpid limbs forward, her hing leg following as she took up a smooth lope, all the while her nostrils quivered, string to catch scent of any of her bothers or sisters. Finally, she caught it. The wind current changed direction and to her delight brought the familiar smells, quickly the Fae turned her course and followed the invisible trail that lingered in the air.
Kahuri was happy- though slightly flustered -to find her family gathered about in a foreign territory. Her tassel immediately raised and began to wag at sight of them, yet the rhythmic beat of her tail slowed when she saw the foreboding looks on there faces. Without another thought she bounded up and gently nudged her way into the center of th group and gasped.
"Zhentee!" She tottered back a bit. The red and crimson dragga lay there, his breathing was shallow and she could feel it, his life force, just, just fading. He was dying. Kahuri's ears turned back, pressing up against her skull, her emerald optics glazing over with sorrow. "It- can't be." The she-wolf's head and tail drooped as she bit back the tears that threatened to break loose from her eyes, yet still they fell, little liquid crystals that slid silently down her slender muzzle. Why?! Her mind cried out. Why now? Just after Andre's passing...
When he spoke his words were weak and frail, they stabbed at her heart. She felt the urge to say something, words that bubbled up in her throat and danced on the tip of her tongue, yet they were words she didn't one how to speak, they were more like a feeling that were beyond simple statements, questions, pleas or cries, no she found she could only stare down at dying, yet still proud Dragga, unable to do anything.

Never had the old Dragga looked his age until now. The grey, silver and white flecks in his fur were shining in what little light there was, and he appeared frail. Zhentee was fading fast and there was nothing anyone could do about it. Bending down, Amore placed her muzzle on Zhentee's forehead, willing him to stay alive yet giving him comfort in his last moments. If this was all Amore could offer, then so be it. The white fae knew that she had not known Zhentee as long as some, but she liked him and he had liked her, and though it had been a short time they ahd known each other, it ahd been a good time. Amore barely noticed Phantom's arrival, but Tarkah's stirred her. Instantly, Amroe moved away from Zhentee retreating slightly back into the shadows, as if she feared her Drappa, which, in a way, she did. It was blatant that Tarkah disliked the Hybrid fae, and no matter what Amore did it would take a hell of a lot to sway the Drappa. And if their ever was a friendship, it would be easily shattered. Depressign and sad it seemed, but it was probably true. The Varg who came after Tarkah was fae too, and from Ge-Rad, yet she did not seem to mind the intrusion, in fact, the fae was as grief-stricken as the rest of them, though Amore did not know her name. However, she smelt a little of Tarkah, so it was possible they were family as Amore had heard that Tarkah ahd once lived with Ge-Rad. Another Varg ahd turned up, also unknown and a fae too. This one was completely oblivious to the surrounding Vargs and raced straight toward Zhentee, mourning.
Suddenyl, there was a choked out cough, a scratchy rasping voice so quiet Amroe ahd to strain to hear. It was Zhentee. Now was the time to show herself again, to give comfort once more to the old Dragga. "Zhentee," She said softly, stepping forward and gently nuzzling his face with affection. "I'll miss you - you were the first wolf to welcome me as a friend into the Koran and you have been kind to me ever since. I respect you so much, and am sad that it ahs...has to end n-now," She was stuttering now, getting choked up. "If you want anything done when you're...gone, just ask. I shall be happy to fulfill you're alst wishes."

All the eyes that were looking down at him, were so sad, so full of morning and words that would not be spoken. It pained him to see his friends and family so sad. But here was nothing he could do. He turned his head slightly, to look up at the night stars. He loved the stars, because no mater were he had gone in the world, he could look up and know that the stars were always the same. It was his connection to his home, and what brought him back after every journey. But would the stars bring his back from this one? This was a much different journey. But something told him it wasn’t over. There was still more to this Dragga’s journey, and this Kerl’s Leading. But were would this journey lead?
His though was broken when the dog-varg, Amore, leaned down and nuzzled him. Zhentee liked Amore, there was something about her, that’s just seemed so peaceful. So varg like. If he only had to her judge all hybrids, he would look upon them with great respect. However, he had meet another. One that now lived in these lands. He did not know her well, but to him, she was snappy, possessive, and very dog like. Zhentee shook his head at her words. “No my friend, you have your own life to live. You don’t need to be finishing what I couldn’t. But I thank you for the offer. Just do your best to take care of Koran. I know Tarkah is not hat fond of you, but I’m sure in due time she will come see what I see.” he tried his best to smile at her, despite his weakness.
Zhentee looked around again at every one who seems to be with him in his final time, and then back to the ghostly form that graced them with her presence, and noticed, it was no longer just her. He did not know if their forums were really there or hot. Or If they were just an illusion of his dying mind, but he could see others he knew stepping forward to stand by her. They were vargs of his past. Those he respected, and those who respected him, most had passed on. But a few were those who had not been seen in seasons, who were probably gone, but not for certain. Their presence made it easy for him to smile one last time…
One last time he smiled, before he closed his eyes, and took one last shallow breath. "Goodbye every one..." he whispered lowly. All went limp, he couldn’t feel his body any more. Instead, he seems to be standing over it, next to his friends, looking down at his now lifeless self. He took a few steps back. And watched. ‘What will they do now?’ he wondered.QUICK EDIT: MMEP! i was typing this really fast and i just realized he was suposed to say good bye with his last breath, so i fixed that! (( *cries* NOOOO! what will I do without him! *cries more* ))

Phantom listened as Zhentee talked to Amore. Like the old Dragga, the she-wolf cared for the hybrid, and saw beyond the mixed blood of dog and varg. At his soft words, she nooded to Amore. He was right. tarkah would soon come 'round.
He closed his eyes, and took his last breath. Phantom watched, sadly, as the air slipped from his body for the final time. The Beta of Koran, whipered softly. Though she could not see, she knew in her heart that Zhentee was among his lost family. She imagined Zhentee and Zephyr, his mate, nuzzling one anonther fondly, and his daughter, Aztec, bounding up to greet him. The thought made her smile, weakly, though.
"Oh, Zhentee," she murmered. "You'll not be forgotten...ever." With that, she lifted her voice. The call was true and mournful, yet there was a tinge of joy in the song. Joy that Zhentee was free of life's pain, joy that he was with Zephyr again...
