((Best I could do... You killed 'im while I was away T_T))
Oh I'm so tired there has got to be an end to the pain I feel when I'm awake and alive alive alive alive and I'm dreamin'...
Zhentee's words made Kai whine pitifully, reducing him to the pathetic youngster he had been when he first encountered the Dragga. Now, rather than whining in fear he was mourning the loss of a dear friend. What would he do once Zhentee passed away? It was true that lately they hadn't spent much, actually, any time together, but it didn't mean that they weren't close. He had meaned to visit him, he really did...
Kai, you fool! you waited too long, and now look! LOOK!
He had never been one to talk to himself, at least not intensely, though seeing his friend, practically his father like this was driving him mad. And there was nothing him, nor any of the surrounding Varg could to to help him. that was it, what was really troubling him. Of all you've done for me... I can do nothing for you. Nothing... Amber orbs wandered to meet the Emerald eyes of his friend's, and he became aware of just how old Zhentee must have been. Never before had he recalled so many gray hairs about his muzzle and face, nor the dulling of his once brilliant coat. In his saddened gaze, words were spoken, though not outloud, letting the Drappa know just how much he would be missed. It seemed the only things that did not age were his eyes, for now in the moonlight, they shone brighter than ever. Letting his ebon body drop to the ground beside the Dragga, he rested his head on his powerful shoulders and listened to the soothing sound of his deep, yet straining voice.
"You've always been like a father to me, Zhentee. I wish I would've visited you more often, though you've taught me much in the time we've shared. I hope that as you run with Tor and Fenris you will never forget me... For I know that your memory will never be absent from my heart."
After he had finished his short speech, Amore, the hybrid, returned from the shadows and it occured to him for a split second that they had never been introduced. He knew she was part dog, and he also knew it was wrong to judge her because of it, for she seemed like a good enough packmate. The scent of Koran was heavy on her pelt, and he made a mental note to introduce himself sometime in the future.
His flattened auds caught the words that would be Zhentee's last and his shining orbs caught sight of his last, peaceful smile before his body went limp. Although he knew Zhentee had gone from his body in that last moment, he still felt some attachment to it and nuzzled it sadly with his pent up affection he never got to show. Whimpering quietly, he forced himself to his feet and rose his head to the heavens to join in Phantom's song, his voice stretching over the land and reaching the borders of Ge-Rad and beyond. Within his song lingered memories of days gone by, that mingled with the pain and sadness he had presently endured. The song carried on for what seemed to him like an eternity as he attempted to free himself of sorrow and embrace life once again, though he knew in his heart it would never be the same.
Letting his voice fade into the night, he looked down at his friend's abandoned form once more, before turning and walking away slowly, and then bounding into the night, back to his packlands.

...your a soldier now, fighting in a battle, to be free once more, yah..that's worth fighting for...
Tarkah hung her head. Ignoring the slowly growing crowd of vargs. She felt her breath caught in her throat as she let out a mournful whine. Zhentee had been there for her in the toughest of times. When she was a lonely pup, lost with no home he took her in and could have called her his own. She grew up along side the skillful and courageous dragga, and she hoped that she could pass on some of the things he had taught her. Yet now it seemed amost virtualistic that the great dragga could have passed away.
Golden eyes sought the dragga out from the crowd and she took a step forth. Her eyes watched as Zhentee looked beyond them. And little to Tarkah's knowledge that he could see a pure white wolf so much like Tarkah. Zephyr. A drappa Tarkah knew in her heart as her mother. Even though she was not her own blood. Then again Tarkah remembered how Zephyr and Zhentee had taken in many pups and called them their own. And it made Tarkah feel proud that maybe...she could..was.. one of them.
The white drappa tucked her muzzle before licking the dragga's muzzle. "Thank you Zhentee. You were the best father anyone could ever have" Tarkah whispered.
Tarkah took a pace back, finding that she could no longer speak any louder then a whisper. Her golden oculars lay hidden beneath ivory eyelids as she heard Kai speak his last goodbyes. And then as swift as the wind, and delicate as the morning dew. Her eardrums caught Zhentees last goodbye.
Moments passed before Tarkah could open her eyes again, yet somthing churned in her heart. A song. She would sing to the dragga. Sing him a chorus and he would hear it, as he made his way towards the heavens. And so the drappa did. Muzzle lifting her vocals found their place in the Ge rad. A place she called home in the reign of Zhentee and Zephyr. A place that in her heart would always belong to the great alphas and to no other. And with that she sang, louder and stronger, her notes weaving in and out as her lyrics played on, enticing others to follow.
And she sang...

KAhuri sat as the life force Zhentee held just slipped away, she could almost feel the sudden absence, sense it. The world blurred over suddenly, the colors of the trees, earth, the wolves around her all losing there clear outlines and falling into each other. Tears. True tears that fell from her eyes in steady rivers creating ribbons of shining liquid down her cheeks and onto the dirt beneath her.
Tor Zhentee must feel bad with us mourning him. She thought sadly, blinking to clear her vision. I wonder it he sees us now, from the stars... Her emerald eyes raised to the grand night sky. The stars so bright and lustrous in light scattered across the rich navy sky. Yes, he is there with Tor and Sita and his family. A small tentive smile curled that edges of her lips.
Suddenly through the silence Phantom took up a long mourning howl, but it wasn't all that sorrowful. Her ears caught the ever so faint hint of rejoice. Her grin growing Kahuri tipped back her gray, blue tinted muzzle and set her own voice lose. Lacing in with the cries of her fellow pack mates, her family. We're howling for you Zhentee! Her mind cried out. We're howling for you...

Amore could feel Zhentee slipping, slipping away beneath her wet nose as she nuzzled him, the dying Dragga. Starlight shone in his fur, picking up the flecks of silver brought on by age, his midnight bits of fur looking like a starry night. Zhentee... That one thought was revolving around her mind, replaying the precious few memories she had of the saintly Dragga. Pulling away from his corpse, the pearly Hybrid squeezed ehr eyes shut and moved back into the throbbing mass of Vargs, listening to them sing. Opening her eyes briefly to gaze up at the sky, Amore thought she could see the form of Zhentee, a shadow, a ghost, but no, it was jsut her imagination. Are you up there Zhentee? She thought silently. Greeting all your old friends and family, watching over the Koran and Ge-Rad? Rest in peace, dear friend.
Looking over to where Kai, Phantom, Tarkah and Kahuri were standing, jaws open, a beautiful melody escaping their throats, Amore wondered if she should join them. They looked amgnificent, wolves of Koran, pure-blooded, singing a tribute and a goodbye to Zhentee. Surely Amore's distorted howl would ruin it, wolf melody broken up with a few racous dog howls, that were more likes barks really. Oh well, who cared, she would be wishing Zhentee on his way into well, wherever he was now. Stepping surprisingly gracefully among her Packmates, her petite form strange beside them, Amore opened her jaws and sang, calling out to Zhentee and his dead Packmates. And, surprsingly, she did not bark. It was twisted, that the one time Amore should succeed in obliterating the barks from her howl it was also the time that a friend should die. As this thought passed through her, Amore felt her howl die in her throat. Azure oculars caught sight of the dark form of Kai, fleeing the scene of death, his grief painfully shared by Amore, and, inside her, the white fae felt the need to comfort him. The rest of the Koranian Vargs ahd each other, but, this Kai who she had never met, was alone. Her compassionate heart was aching to go after him, to heal him, to perhaps prove she could be a good Healer's Apprentice. Slipping away from the howling Vargs, Amore raced after Kai into the night, following his scent.

Delaney wasn't listening to anything. The black she-wolf rested her head on Zhentee's shoulder, her eyes glistening with tears, her fur streaked with her tears. Why did he have to go. She had only just met him, she though they could be friends, she though they had shared something. She buried her head in his fur, just like that night they met. She didn't care what the others said, she was't listening to anyone. Her soft voice could be heard, she bent down to whisper in his ear. "Remember me Zhentee. Whether your dead or alive, I'll allways be with you, and I will never forget you. You are the only wolf who likes me for who I am. You are my only friend. I wish you would not go, but I do not blame you. You will always be with me in my heart, and I shal never forget you. Rest in peace friend. I hope you had a good life." Delaney rested her head once more on Zhentee. Wishing it was not so, chereshing her last moments with her new founf and only friend. As the others let out their mournful cries, so did Delaney, her voice rang strong, filled with sadness, but she was happt for Zhentee. He would go to Fenris up in the stars, though she didn't beleive herself, she eleived for him, and only him.

Zhentee back up slowly. He couldn’t take it any more. He could no longer listen to their cries, and Kai, his friend, his son, had already taken off back to the koran lands. He looked at those passed. They were not there to take him with them. No. instead they were there to tell him it was not over, though they did not have to speak the words. He just knew, somehow. He gave them a bit of a bow, to thank them for being there. He knew he would see them again, but first, there was still something he needed to do. With the energy and the swiftness he had when he was young, he turned his back to all the varg, and ran as fast as he could. Every step seemed easier then the last, and before he knew it, it was as if his feet were no longer touching the ground. From his back he sprouted wings, the same crimson color as his fur, the tips of the feathers painted black. It was a strange feeling to be flying, though he was not far off the ground. This journey, these wings, where were they leading? He couldn’t wait to see.
His journey took him far, and he did not reach his destination till the light of morning once again graced the earth. He landed in front of a den, his ears twitched with the heart beats of new born pups. He walked inside, and looked down at a new mother, though something was wrong. She seemed very sick, and her pups were all dieing. The den seems relatively new, and there was no trace of any other vargs having ever been in there. And he new there never would. He knew the mother would not make it for more then a few weeks more, and the pups would probably only make it a few more days. He looked to se one pup, a bit of a runt, was separated from the rest. Though he was the runt, he seemed stronger then the rest, but just barley. He walked over to the small varg. He almost looked white, but Zhentee was sure his markings would darken with time. He leaned down to the small varg, and licked him across his right eye. And suddenly, he was gone. The feathers from his wings seemed to explode off of him, and fall to the ground, vanishing as tey touched the dirt floor.
The small pup squirmed slightly, and despite his age, his eyes opened for just a moment, revealing two toned eyes, one a blue that was practically white. and the other, the one Zhentee licked, was a brilliant emerald…
Making her way threw the forest was a large fae with a double coat. The undercoat a short and thick, and a cream color, the other a thin long coat of dark grey.“Zhentee?” she whispered lowly Her eyes, a strange combination of light blue, with yellow surrounding the pupil, looked up just in time to see a large ghost like figure land outside, a den, and make its way in. Her eyes dared a round to see if there was any one else around, before she made her way to the cave. Her legs were long and, carried her easily, and silently down the hill. “Zhentee?” she whispered again, peeking around the corner. But all she saw were Large black and red feathers falling to the ground, disappearing the moment they touched the soft dirt. Then, amongst the fallen feathers she saw a new born pup, she stared down at him, confused, and curious. Then the pup squirmed and wriggled slightly, and then…
The fae jumped back and gasped…
“Zhentee!”
