A Call to War [Alphas pref., all welcome]

[Chalos Autumn]

Ge-Rad.. This pack had the reputation of being one of the most populated and active packs in Transylvania, led by the foreign, gold-furred male with countless enemies, Draeg, and the clever femme, Cwen. The two seemed to make the perfect couple, though few knew of the battle between Draeg and a neighbouring pack leader's brother, Nocturnia, over claim of Cwen. The two had suffered many hardships together, it seemed, and had finally come up with the conclusion that it was high time to lead their own pack, make a suitable life within the lands. However, their alpha, Draeg, nearly placed himself upon Deor's bad side when he entered the pack, then left suddenly, only to bring his other mate, Firefly, into Deor to birth.. Then left again, as was practically the same story with Cwen in Sarnes.

Unfortunately, a strange and recent turn of events had brought the monstrous Dragga of Deor to Ge-Rad, seeking Draeg's alliance. A fellow packmember to Deor, the young male dubbed Rokk, returned into Chalos' territories with a wounded leg and a story of assault from the Balkar. The news had been sudden, but the alpha had taken the time to hear Rokk's entire story instead of going on a rampage.. But in the end Chalos still came to the same conclusion - now was a time for war. Snow would be plaguing the lands of Transylvania soon, but any loyal varg with any sense would fight for their alphas against the two most evil of packs, the Sarnes and Balkar. Now, the enormously-sized leader of Deor, the dark-raven-and-rust coloured Chalos Autumn, placed his first step into the world of Ge-Rad, the pack of hunting skill, of strong and cunning wolves, and of two happily-mated alphas. Upon first sight, the colossal Deor Dragga found the packlands comforting - fields interwoven with woodlands, the soft flow of water sounding somewhere close, signaling that there was either a lake or a river within. All-in-all, Chalos had to give Draeg and Cwen quite the population of kudos, for he'd managed to find a paradise to raise a pack.He seemed to be hovering a bit too much on commenting the whole look of the packlands to himself, and his mind suddenly switched back to what it was supposed to be thinking about - the reason Chalos was in Draeg's lands.

With a deep intake of breath, the large varg's head reared high into the sky, form was suddenly erect and tense, and mind and lungs were set upon delivering a most powerful howl that would carry quickly and strongly over the Ge-Rad lands. Suddenly, a booming cry erupted from his throat, actually shaking his chest, the sound for the alphas' assistance rising into the air and not faultering until the great alpha's lungs were empty and begging for a breath of fresh air. Eventually, the lungs were blessed a new supply of oxygen, and as Chalos inhaled, his emerald eyes, previously closed during his call, opened with a fresh vigour; he'd needed to let loose with such a thunderclap of a howl for weeks.

Refreshed and prepared for any sort of greeting, the unnaturally-huge alpha's back fell, rump placing itself comfortably onto the ground, sitting. Briefly, Chalos pondered on Draeg's response to his friend's call to war, but, when it came down to it, Draeg owed his previous higher power for housing his other mate, Firefly, and allowing her to raise her pups in his lands.. And then the questions would focus more on whether to include Tarkah and Andre's pack, Koran, into the war - would they accept being included in a battle of wolves that hardly, if at all, involved them and their pack? If the alphas proved to be intelligent in the least, the answer would surely be a 'no', but there was always the chance that Koran would agree to serve as back-up, right?

A sudden sound caught Chalos' ears, and he perked, sitting straight and proud, tail raising high as his keen occuli searched intently through the Ge-Rad wildlands. "Who's there?" He barked in a tone of utmost authority, muscles tensing and preparing their hosting body to either bolt or attack. "Show yourself, varg of Ge-Rad! I come from Deor, I wish to speak with your alphas!"

It was mid-afternoon and Fenris's rays shone brightly illuminating the lands of Transylvania. But even if the sun's beams of light the temperature was still freezing cold. Lera were now hard to come by and the days were becoming shorter and shorter. Many vargs would stay in their dens for shelter. The ground was now covered with a layer of sparkling frost.

Suddenly, a large brown paw smacked hard at the ground leaving a paw-shaped mark that was engraved into the earth. Yellow orbs wide as it searched frantically for prey: Rabbits, hares, foxed, anything! Cal was desparately trying to find something to fill his stomach to fill him up, or at least stall his hunger till later. It was only recently since this varg returned back to his packlands after having a horrible incident resulting him being captured and imprisoned at Balkan territories. Luckily for him he managed to escape and in that time his mate have had his three cubs. The light now revealed a few scars that would permanently stay on his body, a reminder of what he had to face. But now, all his wounds have been healed and he was up and about again. Gradually each day, he was starting to recover from the inside as he spelt time with his mate and his three children. Though he had learned to be more cautious of his surroundings. When he had returned and told his Dragga Draeg the story. It seemed to trigger something in him and by the looks of it, there was going to be a war between the two packs. This all started when Cwen had carried Draeg's pups when she was in Sarnes without letting the Dragga know. Unfortunately for Cwen, Serg had discovered her with Huts and during the battle Draeg had arrived and the couple had managed to escape. Since then, Serg who was the Dragga of two packs sought revenge on Cwen for her betrayal. So far, nothing has happened since Draeg and Cwen have become the new alphas of this pack. It was must harder for him to do anything to them now that they have a high status plus many packmates in their ranks. But, now with Sarnes latest attack on their emissary there is going to be a war sooner or later with the two packs. In Cal's opinion, this was something good. As he wanted to spill some blood from Sarnes or Balkar so that he can try the wonderful taste of revenge.

Moving quickly and silently through the trees Cal continued on with his hunt. Lurking and barely breathing he padded forward until finally his two yellow optics focused onto something small in the bushes. Saliva dripping from the side of his maw he edged closer...ready to pounce. Suddenly, a booming cry echoed throughout the Ge-rad lands. The hare realizing danger, darted. Cursing loudly Cal wanted to dart after it, but decided that it was best to see who had made the call and to see if it was necessary to alert his other packmembers. Turning around he ran swiftly in the direction of the sound.

Several moments later, he arrived at the border of Ge-rad. Eyes narrowed he stared ahead and caught a glimpse of emerald orbs. Examining the large he-varg in the shadows Cal thought that he looked quite familiar. Whatever the reason he was here in Ge-rad, he was here for business. Searching his mind as he tried to bring out a name on who this varg was. Suddenly, he mind clicked. This varg was the Dragga of Deor...Why was he doing here? Perhaps he is paying Draeg a visit? Absorbed in thoughts his paw stepped onto a branch as it snapped in half. The sound however, alerted the Dragga that he was not alone and someone else was near his presence. Sure enough, Chalos barked his sharp words into the trees. Deciding for the best to let himself be seen, Cal stepped forward. The brown he-varg slowly melted from the shadows and came a few varg's-length away from the visitor. "I'm Cal, emissary of this pack. Aren't you the Dragga of Deor? What business do you have in Ge-rad?" growled Cal politely.

Her pelt was the darkest shade of black. But gathered around her lithe paws were the light flecks of white, a strange contrast to her ebon body. Her figure was thin, but not delicate. Strength traveled along her shoulders and haunches, the power of a warrior, a wolf. And she moved with savage grace, cunning and care were in her paws as she ran, leapt or simply walked amongst the forestland. Past the trees like a dark specter. And her eyes, they truly gave her a demon-like pose. There were dark hued, given the deepest of violet color, a bizarre blessing for a Varg. Three lines, scars were etched into her hind left leg. And another on her cheek, just below her left optic. And a tale all of its own were hidden in those marks.

Like quite a few other suns Amaya ambled through the territories of the Ge-Rad, her it could be called her home. A rare thing to since her heart was one of a Kerl most of the time, but her independence was dissipating away slowly. She had already managed to make a few friends. A good example was Nexus, and Lydair, they were two wolves that had saved her a while back after… an incident. Her lips twitched at the memory, and a low growl rumbled in her chest. That's just the past, now I must look to the Present and Future. Suddenly, carried on a light wind came a faint scent that made her nares tingle. A stranger? Her muzzle wrinkled, jaws dribbling;
“Who could this be?” She grumbled. But then out of the depths of the trees came a piercing howl. Long, and clear. Amaya's perked auds picked up the bold leader-like tone this was a Dragga? Slightly flustered the black femme crept forward, hackles bristled and her senses on edge she peered around a large boulder and saw him. He was indeed an alpha, but of what pack remained unidentified so she simply gazed at the stranger, watching his every move. As the young warrioress did this she noticed another gray Varg not far off. But her worry was not kindled; he was one of the Ge-Rad. Finally, sighing unhappily she arose, padding over to the two vargs, eyes still locked on the ebon and rust tainted Dragga.
“Hello,” She growled uncertainly. “You want to see the alphas? May I ask what you may need to discuss with them that is of such importance it has driven you into the Ge-Rad territory?”

[Lydair]

The air stirred only with the constant motions of the flaring of leathery nares; the ebony sky that loomed, daunting, above, stretched in a vast expanse of a star-dusted blanket that framed the very world. Cyan eyes, beauitful and bold, gleamed an iredescent silver that glowed eerily in the dark shadows of the night that plunged the lands of Ge-Rad into an unpenetratable darkness. The she-Varg's breathing came in short pants that shot streams of air forward in rhthym to the light steps that befell that chilled earth as small ivory paws paced forward in a light-treaded trot; grace was still contained in the light paw-falls although the thickly-furred belly of the she-Varg was swollen and round; it had become obvious that cubs would soon be borne and the femme had become increasingly aware of the pains and added weight that slowed her down; falling from grace, the deep-cobalt furred femme grimaced with a yelp as another driving pain rippled through her chest and slowed her with a gasp as she stumbled on unsteady legs; her pregnancy was beginning to scare the Healer; the pains were stabbing and although she hadn't mentioned it to either her leaders nor her mate the daunting truth was that the birth may not slip by as smoothly as Uskiya's; the femme's fears weren't yet proven but it still frightened Lydair. Moving forward eractically, her movements jerky and jagged, the femme suddenly reeled backwards as a thunderous snarled in ehr ears; whirling around, silver eyes flashed and a loud, drawn-out snarl was pitched from her throat as she bared pearly fangs, her hackles bristling as she lowered into a crouch, all earlier postures that said she was carrying life vanished as her former grace and stealth returned; she evolved into the elegant femme she would later become after her children were born.

Azure orbs narrowed with a growl and she jekred her ehad as first one blur of fur, and then another, flashed by; first Cal and then Amaya and she too launched into a swift run, her head swinging from side to side until she slid to a stop, her nares flaring as she panted for breath, gazing around her before her cerulean orbs landed on the mighty Dragga before her- Chalos Autumn, the Dragga of BT's pack, Deor. Dipping her head in respect, she met his eyes slowly before stepping forward, her arch tail wagging gently as she gazed into emerald eyes with a warm smile. "Welcome to Ge-Rad- Chalos, is it not? BT has told me of you and the pack you lead. My name is Lydair; what matters press you to venture to our forest in search of Draeg and Cwen?" Turning to Cal, Lydair grinend to him with a nod of her head before glancing over her lean shoulders at the raven-pelted Amaya, the she-Varg she had brought to Ge-Rad when she had a terrible wound.

[Draeg]

Further along the treeline another figure moved quietly amidst the snow-covered landscape, padding from snowdrift to snowdrift and scrabbling his large paws against each one as though searching for something. He a varg, a Dragga really but really nothing special.

Unlike most Dragga he stood only about the average height of the typical male, lacking the sheer size and muscle capacity that belay his status amongst his packmates, he sported an unusually thick coat of amber fur which shimmered in the light of the sun so that it appeared to take on a golden, occasionally even red luster, his sleek form was completed by a incredibly long bushy tail in which was his pride and joy, the only thing that marred his magnificent form was a line of scars which lined his body, most of which were only noticeable in the sun’s warm light while a select few were a great deal more distinguishing, among these was a large scar which ran down the length of his right eye and another which had been viciously placed on the side of his face. But these were old wounds, all which had healed long ago and no longer troubled the amber varg leaving him free to roam about without any real hindrance.

And so Draeg, amber Dragga of Ge-Rad continued going about his task uninterrupted, systematically padding from one snowdrift to the next until he finally came across what he was looking for. Giving out a delighted bark he dug his broad paws deep into the relatively soft surface, after a moment he stopped, thrusting his scarred and battered muzzle into the opening he had created and pulling out the frozen form of a dead fox. He had made the kill a few days earlier but having not been hungry at the time the amber varg had decided to store it for later consumption, knowing that the snow would keep it fresh and mask its scent from any oncoming scavengers or packmates that might try to steal it. A bit greedy mayhaps but unfortunately necessary, not having experienced winter in Ge-Rad before Draeg was unfamiliar with how scare prey would in the harsh seasons. By securing a kill and storing it one day he was making sure that the pack would have something to eat on another when prey became scarcer, and with pups roaming the pack this could be the difference between life and death for the yearlings. With a feral growl the amber varg dove into the kill and began consuming his kill, tearing into the carcass and swallowing mouthfuls of meat in which he would use to feed Uskiya’s litter later when he finally returned to the den later.

A booming howl rang out in the still air causing Draeg to divert his attention from frozen carrion in order to listen to the oddly familiar sound, it only took him a moment to realize who had sounded the call and in an instant the amber varg was darting through the snow as he hastily made his way over to the pack borders. Still clutching the dead fox tightly in his jowls he arrived to find a small collection of varg gathered together in somewhat of a light discussion, three of them belonging to his own pack, the first of them being his loyal and trusted emissary, a heavily scarred varg with thick brown fur by the name of Cal, a black and white hybrid which acted as healer to the wolves of Ge-Rad and daughter-in-law to the packs alpha, and a young black furred fae in which Draeg was rather unfamiliar with though he knew her to be Amaya, the varg Nexus and Lydair had brought within the pack.

“What’s going on here? Who so important and awe inspiring has come to our lands that you all flock to him like scavengers to kill?” he asked jokingly, laying his kill down on the ground and towering over it defensively as though it were some precious prize. Upon laying eyes on the forth varg Draeg fell silent and bowed his head respectfully as was custom between the pair, still honoring his former Dragga as though nothing had changed between them. “Chalos it’s been a while, welcome to Ge-Rad. I see that you have already met several of my pack, I hope that they have treated you with proper respect?” he growled. “Tell me, what is it that brings you so far from Deor. Surely you have come all this way just to see me?”

The silvery faemme’s belly was slowly beginning to bulge as the first moon passed and the second one began. In roughly a moon’s time now she would give birth – and Cwen prayed to Tor and Fenris that these cubs would be alive. After all, who’s to say that Serg had not been preying to Wolfbane also that the cubs would lose their nearly non-existing lives just out of spite? Or that was if Serg knew of her pregnancy…
Padding slowly through the terrain, a mere casual wander rather than yet another patrol of the borders, Cwen sighed heavily to herself as she came to a shallow ditch in the earth where thick thorns and dead brambles surrounded the area making a cosy thicket that few animals used sparingly. Growling with pleasure the faemme grinned and crawled under the entanglement of twigs and branches to curl up snugly under the mass of vegetation, slowly drifting off into a light slumber.

Dreams began to unfold as the mists of her mind parted. The great beast of a midnight black varg stood with dripping, powerful jaws over the pack of Ge-Rad. Amongst them cowered the three figures of her precious cubs, all whining and yelping…calling out to their mother as the body of Draeg lay bleeding by the pack’s side. A long and lonely howl called out from her parted muzzle as she began to bound towars them…yet going nowhere.
The burning, fiery eyes of the ebon male flashed and began to blaze like the wildfires in summer, a deep and merciless snarl echoing out across the land on which Cwen was trying to cross. The grass surrounding her caught alight with his hot breathe and everything erupted into flames, burning and cindering the silver Drappa’s luscious pelt…scolding her skin beneath. Letting out savage kicks and whines, Cwen peered through the pelting flames as slowly her family and pack began to drip like candle wag into darkness – leaving her forever.

With a start the Drappa awoke, her jaws parted and her tongue hanging out as she panted heavily for the cool air to fill her lungs, still imagining the hot smoky air within them. Turning her head swiftly round she caught the sound of voices on the air and her auds perked with curiosity, suddenly forgetting her awful dream as curiosity got the better of her.
Slinking silently out of the thicket she made her way to the forest’s edge and came to an abrupt halt underneath the thick shrubbery, eyes gazing out at the assembled pack members round a large Dragga – that of Deor. She had heard much of this Dragga, Chalos Autumn, from Draeg as the ember male respected the colossal varg highly. Silently she listened to their words, not wanting to add yet another varg to the circle until she found out the reason for the Deor’s Dragga to visit.

A familiar voice danced up to Amaya’s alert auds. She quickly turned her façade towards another she-wolf, actually she was a hybrid since the blood of a dog flowed strong enough through her veins that she resembled on. Unmistakably, it was Lydair. But something was quite different about the Ge-Rad’s healer. Her belly was swollen, telling Amaya of the life now stirring within her belly, also how close the pups were coming to being born. The sparked some surprise in the raven hued femme, for she always remembered Lydair as the high spirited young Drappa, lithe and graceful. But now there was weight in her steps and much less refinement too. Amaya nodded gently at the bluish black and white fae, "Hello Lydair. Nice to see you again." Which was the truth, without the healer she might not have even been alive. The memory striked a small grin on her muzzle.

All at once the brush rustled and a flash of amber burst nimbly from the bramble. She recognized the Dragga with ease it was Dreag, the alpha of the pack. She dipped her head in a respectful greeting.
"Who would not be drawn to such a loud howl?" She growled, there was some enthusiasm in her voice. "It seemed obvious he wanted to tell us of his presence. And he wants to speak to you." She aptly stepped aside for the Dragga to walk by and to the stranger who apparently was also an alpha. From what Lydair had spoken of earlier, he was leader of the Deor. Once more she pondered upon the question of why she was here in the first place. Maybe they would now find out with Dreag here.

As she watched the Amber and red tinted Varg her hackles prickled at the feeling of two other eyes watching the small party of wolves. Her dark purple optics flickered from side to side uneasily, a small growl budding in her throat. But she had a feeling that the mystery wolf was not any trouble making stranger. But just in case she raised her muzzle, black nares quivered as she scent the air. Comforted to smell it only was the Drappa of the pack, Cwen. Finally she returned her attention to the multi-hued Dragga awaiting in the midst of the gathering.

Unlike the recently re-populated lands of Deor, it took only moments for Ge-Rad wolves to arrive. Cal, a fairly impressive varg, was the first to come, though before his inquiries could be answered, two of the bold male's packmates arrived - neither of which he knew, though the Healer, a hybrid wolf-dog dubbed Lydair, caught his interest right away. To each wolf Chalos gave a respectful bow - something which nearly every Dragga or Drappa avoided giving towards inferior packmates or Kerl. Only when all had given their questions - all the same - did the massive Deor alpha speak.

"Hush, hush, varg of Ge-Rad," He started, his voice issuing as a deep, rich tenor with a smooth way of speaking the land's native tongue, "None of you know me because, simply, for the protection of myself, I do not wander out of my packland. I simply allow wolves who need a home to seek refuge within my lands, like I allowed your own Dragga to once do." Chalos smirked as he thought on how he could hark on the smaller, amber male, for dearest Draeg had not bothered to notify his alpha of his leave. "But stories of the past will come later.. I have come out of Deor territories for the first time since I inherited the pack from my half-sister's son, Thunder. The reason for this rather unusual happening.. A packmember of mine, Rokk, was recently attacked by the Balkar. After listening to his story and with much careful consideration, I decided that the best way to handle the situation would be to attack the Night Hunters with our own forces. However, my reason for coming to Ge-Rad is that I wish to speak with Draeg and Cwen, your perfectly-paired alphas, on whether or not they would fight with Deor against Balkar and Sarnes in the war."

As soon as his words were finished, Chalos spotted a familiar pelt moving through the woodlands towards him - a welcoming smile replaced the previously serious emotion upon his face. "Draeg, fellow Dragga and friend to Deor.. Indeed, your pack - what I've met of them so far, rather - have treated me with utmost kindness but with quite the bold curiosity. And indeed I have traveled far, seeking a word with Cwen and yourself, but one should think that such a noble Dragga wouldn't put such a statement so bluntly." Though he was teasing, the great two-coloured lupine smirked, shifting his weight onto his rump and straightening his back, displaying the erect position suitable only for an alpha.

Briefly, Chalos inspected the group around him - two females and two males, one the Dragga - and with a nod, he seemed to have answered whatever question was on his mind. Though he'd already told the three inferior members of his reasons for seeking their alpha, it wouldn't hurt to quickly summarise to the person he'd come to see in the first place. "Draeg, a word with you.. Rokk was attacked. The Balkar are the cause of it. I've talked with Rokk, and, though he is indeed a bit of a mischief-maker, one can never guess the sickening things a Balkar might do to a wandering youth of an innocent pack. They left a particularly nasty wound on his leg, but it has been left to heal since the late autumn, and, with luck, he'll be fine within a couple of days." Emerald eyes set themselves unblinking upon the smaller, gold-furred male before him, suddenly losing all amusement, "Listen.. Deor is going to war. Draeg.. Deor needs the forces of Ge-Rad. This pack has grown huge since you've taken over. Please, my pack is no match against the Balkar alone - and no doubt Serg will bring his other pack, Sarnes, into it as well. I've been thinking that Koran could assist us, but only if back-up is needed. My most honourable friend, I ask this of you, in return for keeping your pups, Firefly, and your hide safe.."

[Firefly]

The winter days were drawing near as the autumn was clearly out of its way. But that day something else was aroused in the thickening air. The hybrid Fae Firefly was trotting along. Her pups were growing up fast and it seems that the winter would not be so harsh on them after all. Yet they have not yet experienced the full cruelty of the blithering storms and the harsh crisp of paw on snow.

Firefly ambled through the territory her muzzle brought low to the ground as she scented the Ge rad terrain.
Paws flexing as she walked past she decided to visit Uskiya and her pups but no sooner had she made her decision did she scent vargs of Ge rad. They were near. Tanned auds twitched and swiveled as they picked up soft faint murmurings. So far away were they that Fly could not hear. She cocked her head and sped on through the jungle of bare branches and upturned roots.

Upon emerging from the shadows Firefly tipped her muzzle. Her cyan orbs blinking rapidly as she took in the many faces that congregated around the large red dragga of Deor. Firefly barked and bowed her head. it was grand to see the dragga once more. And she paid great gratitude and thankfulness for the Dragga had let her into his pack when she had been pregnant. Offering a warm and safe place to stay and call home. But why this meeting was called was rather unknown to the young hybrid as she padded toward Draeg and nuzzled the amber dragga before sitting down on her haunches. She had heard Chalos say her name and cocked her head. "What is going on?" she asked with curiosity and looked to Draeg for the answer.

Why would the Deor dragga come into Ge rad territories? Firefly wondered. Could it possibly be that Deor had been ambushed? Was Chalos the only one left? Then what off the faithful nurse BT? what of the other members? Firefly wondered in silence waiting for her question to be answered.

[Kairi]

A quick shadow of a fleet footed warrior flashed from the depth of the trees. Like liquidly sleet as it disappeared and melted into the shadows. It's foot steps were silent and its glowing silver blue eyes were sharp and keen. It's tail twitched with its every step and its muscles rippled under the femme's crimson coat. It was no one but Kairi. The kerl of the pack you could say. The odd ball that could not fit in. But more because she hated the alphas for who they were. The only varg she could possibly have a close relationship in the pack of Ge rad was Shako and still he was often with Yelae.

She was the lead warrior and usually she would let her sharp tongue do the talking rather then her mind and wit. Though she was not afraid to smart talk the alphas she did learn out of the instinct of subordinate wolf that she would have to be beaten at her own game. But Kairi did not stop no. She didn't give up her tiring and peeving tries to get under the alphas skins. Especially that Draeg. She wasn't too fond of him no. The reason being that he had chased her father, Bryrpaw, the previous dragga of Ge rad out and taken over the families home. Kairi tied to the only home she ever had refused to leave. nd so she often lurked around Ge rad alone and unnoticed, brooding in the shadows.

Kai slowed her pace and her Sapphire grey eyes flashed. She padded up onto a small crest and poked her muzzle out into the clearing. Her breath brought wisps of smoke thick into the air as she focused her attention on the group of wolves. She looked and saw that they were huddled around a large Dragga of another pack. Kairi cocked her head and growled. But she made no attempt to join in this meeting. So she listened carefully and heard of much. So there was going o be a war. Against the balkar and Serg. Kairi grinned, this would be fun. She figured and besides she had longed to draw blood and was not given the chance, and here it was practically gift wrapped for her.

But the rustle caught her attention and she could just see the faint and lurking shape of a silver wolf. Kai grinned and leapt off her little mound of earth and stalked the silver mass.
Not long after did she see the silver stop and spy on the little group too. The two femme were common in characteristics true. But Kairi was still weary of her, for she was the drappa and also brought an end to her father's reign.

Carefully and quietly Kairi crept up to her and practically stood beside her and grinned with coy. "My my its not so common to see a drappa such as your stature to be hiding in the shadows." Kairi whispered with a flick of her tongue. "By my tail, you're not afraid to go out are you?" Kai teased. She knew of course the drappa was not of such but it gave Kairi a reason to grin if she could make the Drappa agitated.

[Shakó]

Commotion could be heard, as the scuttle of paws were heard and felt by the large white warrior, who could be found nearby. Large off white paws thudded heavily against the silvery frost covered ground, as he neared the source of the excitement. Golden eyes rested upon a large Dragga, one who Shako was not familiar with. White hackles bristled on the large male’s back; the stranger made him a bit uneasy. Lifting his muzzle to the air, he tried to catch a whiff of the stranger, with no such luck. He could only smell the bitter frost in the drying air, and a few scent marked trees beside him. Shako growled to himself, shaking his massive head. His nose seemed to be getting worse, because of reasons unknown. All he knew was his scent was fading worse now than before; and even as a cub he had trouble picking up scents.

Turning his attention back to the Dragga, Shako noticed that he was not alone. The large brown shape of Cal was easily spotted, as well as the amber coat of Draeg. At a closer look, he could see the ebony pelt of Amaya, and the oddly marked cobalt pelt of Lydair. He also caught a glimpse of a large silver coat, through bits of the brush, lurking in the shadows. Her large form told him the fae was Cwen, Shako’s Drappa. Shako took a few muffled steps, getting closer. He could have sworn he caught the word “Deor,” issued from the large ebony and rustic male. Thoughts flooded Shako’s curious mind, he didn’t need to hear the Dragga’s speech, for he knew war was upon them. Deor and Ge-Rad must be allied, he though to himself.

He watched carefully, as another Ge-Rad varg came up on the group. A female Shako had only seen, never spoken to. Her name was unknown to him, but her tan and odd marks told him she was a hybrid like Lydair; though holding much more wolfish features than his heart sister.
Now, white auds flickered toward yet another sound, though stealth at first. He turned to see the familiar red pelt of his older sister, Kairi. It had been moons since he had seen the rebel fae, as his gold eyes instantly brightened and tail wagged. His auds erect, the male gave a small yet joyful yip to his sister, he always enjoyed her company.
Quietly he waited, not wanting to get into the middle of things again, to have other judge him for his blood sister. Quietly, but curiously, he listened to the group, hoping to catch vital information on where the war stood.

[Draeg]

A light chuckle escaped from Draeg’s muzzle and the amber Dragga couldn’t help but flash Amaya a thoughtful smile as she dipped her head to him respectfully, Lydair had told him how she and Nexus had found Amaya’s injured form lying on the riverbank and how they had brought her back to Ge-Rad and nursed her back to health. He was pleased to see that her injuries had healed and that she seemed to have adjusted to her new life within the pack rather well, he had been told that she was training to become a warrior in which the pack was in dire need of as for all intensive purposes Koan had decided to become a Kerl again and Kairi was never around leaving Shako as the pack’s only real warrior for the moment. Perhaps he should allow Shako to take her in as an apprentice, even though Amaya’s training was coming along fine on her own having a mentor might prove useful in the future. Then again, perhaps Kairi could take on the task? She was supposed to be the packs Lead Warrior after all, and it might keep her out of trouble with both Cwen and himself as well as strengthen her bonds with the pack. Ultimately he decided that he would discuss the matter over with Cwen the next time he saw her. “Alright then, fair enough. Thank you Amaya.” He chuckled before taking his kill firmly in his jaws and padding over between Cal and Lydair where he set down the dead fox. “At the moment you two are entitled to this more than me. Oh and Lydair, has talked with you later about your condition yet?”

Chalos spoke, greeting the amber Dragga warmly and taking a brief moment to tease him as well before seating himself back on his haunches and carefully studying each varg in turn. When he spoke again all traces of amusement vanished from his visage and his expression became grim, giving the jet black Dragga a stone-like quality and filling the air with a deep sense of foreboding. His eyes hardened and grew cold until it seemed that they were merely a pieces of worked jade set into his skull, the whole time Draeg stood listening to what his friend had to say in silence save for the occasional interruption. “Rokk? Isn’t he the one that threatened me when I arrived and used to pick on Lufia?” Draeg growled, lifting his head thoughtfully. “Now I remember, so the little runt was attacked? Is he alright?” Although Draeg held no real love for bully of Deor, something in which he made perfectly clear to everyone, he was worried about what might have happened to the young pup, Rokk may have been a bully but he was a member of Deor through and through and asides being loyal to his pack Draeg did feel a slight degree of kinship with the young warrior who had been his packmate at one point.

The blunt forwardness of Chalos’ statement came somewhat as a shock to Draeg, though the amber Dragga knew that he really shouldn’t be surprised by this news he hadn’t been expecting Chalos to be so direct and to the point. Still, he should’ve expected as much from his old Dragga. Draeg couldn’t help but wince upon hearing mention of his debt to the rusty-onyx varg, the amber Dragga hated being reminded that he was in someone else’s debt even more so than he did knowing that he was. As if to emphasize the point a familiar bark sounded out from adopt the hill and within a matter of moments Firefly emerged amidst the gathering, taking her place neck to the amber Dragga. Again Draeg winced, though he returned her loving gesture before she had a chance to notice. In all honesty he was glad to see the tan femme, having not seen her in a while due to the fact that he was always busy tending to the needs of the pack while she looked after their two sons. Not that he didn’t see her but most times his visits were often short, though he made it a point to making them as meaningful as possible. Licking Firefly’s cheek affectionately and pressing himself firmly against her side he growled. “I’ll tell you in a minute. Calling in old favors.”

With that their noses touch briefly and Draeg beckoned Cal and Amaya to come forward with a quick flick of his tail, then turning to Chalos he adopted a serious expression and his features hardened until it seemed that they were set in stone. “My friend and former Dragga, you have our support in this fight for Deor has not been the only pack to suffer at the jaws of the Balkar. Recently Cal was captured and tortured by the Balkar after discovering one of their number sneaking about Ge-Rad birthing dens, he managed to escape but as you can see he did not go unscathed. From what I have heard Amaya here has also suffered, as have many of my number, though I must admit I do not know the full story behind the matter. Yes Chalos, we will fight alongside you in this war but only because we of Ge-Rad have our own score to settle with Serg and his minions!” Turning to face his packmates he howled out his decree for all to hear. “From this day forth we are at war! Both the Balkar and Sarnes are our enemies along with any who side with them!”

Another yip sounded out from amidst the trees and Draeg caught sight of Shako lingering within the shelter of the forest like a specter, though Draeg had to strain his eyes to see him as the white warrior pelt blended in with his the surrounding snow. He spotted Cwen and Kairi not to far from the white warrior, giving out a low growl when he noticed that his sister was making it a point to annoy his mate but ultimately leaving her be as he knew that ultimately it was Cwen’s place to deal with her and not his. Still… “Shako! Get your sister and get down here before Cwen pins her! Come on all of you, we have important matters to discuss in case you haven’t noticed?” Turning back to face Chalos he continued.

[Cwen]

A war? With the Balkar and Sarnes? Cwen’s lips began to twitch and the beginnings of a snarl were ominous. However before the silvery Drappa could intervene into the conversation, she stopped herself whilst auds were perked and the words that were spoken from Draeg’s muzzle came to her on how Cal had received so many injuries. It had been the cause of the Balkar? Flicking an aud she diverted her gaze from the group briefly, thoughts and memories sieving through her warped mind. No wonder the male…and most likely the rest of her pack…despised the Drappa – she was the cause for Serg’s true hatred towards her anything she dealt with. This, evidently, including her pack. Cal had good reason to feel frigid towards her – all the other varg’s blamed Cwen for the hatred Serg felt towards Ge-Rad, so why shouldn’t he?
Her thoughts suddenly stopped dead as the sickening voice of Kai reached her relaxed auds and her head swung sharply round to face the red faemme as she stood tall by her side. Cwen knew that the only reason Kai teased her with such ability was because she knew it wound the silver Drappa up until breaking point. And as always – it worked like a charm.

Snarling maliciously, Cwen got to her paws and snapped at Kai’s muzzle, letting out a savage bark of warning before she halted – hearing Draeg’s tone on her erect auds. Throwing him a severe glance, she peered back slowly to Kai, giving her the look as if to say ‘this is not over’ and turned her body round to pad into the clearing, her hackles risen and her limbs stiff with authority.
Passing a look of Chalos as he stood proudly amongst her rankings, Cwen dropped him a slight bow of her head – not totally in respect, but enough to show Draeg that she would not threaten him…as the Deor Dragga obviously still meant something to the ember varg. On coming up to Draeg’s side she threw Firefly a dangerous look before sitting promptly on the frozen earth, her tail giving a vicious flick whilst she turned to look firmly into Draeg’s eyes. “War? Against the Balkar? Are you insane Draeg?” she spoke quietly into his aud so that only he could hear.

Though it was only rightful for the pack to join forces with Deor and battle out their differences between the First of the Putnar…or the so-called First. Cwen couldn’t help but feel altogether terrified of what the end result may lead to. After all – she was already in enough blame for Serg attacking members of the pack…if they were involved in war against the savage beast of varg then who knows what they’d start to think.

[Kairi]

Kairi smiled her auds flickered as her lips upturned into a malicious grin of sly coy. She couldn't say that she did not respect the alphess yet she herself just would not let herself grovel for the silver femme. Though on second thought she much preferred the silver devil then the amber male, Draeg.

Tail flickered as she shrugged and gave a look of ' i don't know' and shrugged her shoulders innocently, flashing puppy eyes that were meant to only tease as a reply to the Drappa's snarl and warning.

Kairi's ear had only flickered as a response that she had actually heard the Dragga. She rolled her eyes mentally and looked his way. "I'm not deaf. I can hear perfectly well where i am standing. And if Cwen decides to pin me thats not your problem." Kairi spoke and shrugged her shoulders as she watched Cwen exit almost hesitantly toward the group of gathered wolves. "But of course your hind-ness." Kairi spoke, biting her tongue. "If you insist, I'll gather up my bothersome behind and merrily bounce your way" Kai said with a jump in her step. Of course her eyes spoke otherwise as she smirked and padded after Cwen.

She too spotted Firefly and she too knew the story behind the Dragga's other mate. Kairi padded next to her and sat her bottom down. Looking over to Firefly she opened her jaws and snapped down, "boo" she giggled and turned her muzzle to face the Deor Dragga. "So this war. Are we going to attack them first. The element of surprise is something to be treasured you know." she suggested as she made herself comfortable.

[Shakó]

As the amber Dragga shouted out, declaring war upon the Balker and Sarnes, Shakó’s heart seemed to jump. A war. . . This was no longer talk. Action would soon have to take place. And it was up to him- a warrior- to ensure the protection upon his pack, and to fight the enemy with fang. A growl grew over the usually chipper male- that would be no problem. He would fight The First, the Dragga of his unstable sister’s pack. In Shakó’s mind, if he succeeded in killing Serg, or any warrior had killed Serg, then Shunké would easily break free of her madness, and the boundaries she roamed in. It was a fairy tale in his mind, with an expected happy-ever -after.

But now, Shakó’s attention was brought back to the group, as Draeg called out the white male’s name; his and Kairi’s. Looking back at his sister, he noticed the look of innocence upon her features. But her maw seemed to get the better of her, as she mouthed off to Draeg. Shakó couldn’t help but let his ivory lips curl into a grin at his rebel sister’s mischievous ways. Ge-Rad would never be the same without her, and that was a fact. Even in the most disrespectful ways, she could easily cheer up any number of Varg here. But for Draeg or Cwen- that was a different story.

Shakó followed his crimson- hued sister, letting his haunches rest beside her. His head dipped in respect to Draeg, as his auds became erect one more. “How may I be of help?” he asked in a casual tone, his golden gaze upon his amber Dragga.
