Upon catching sight of Cwen’s withering glance Draeg rolled his shoulders into a shrug and smiled sheepishly at his mate, letting out a nervous chuckle as she stiffly began making her way over to him. His eyes narrowed on Kairi as her sarcastic remark reached his delicate auds and the amber Dragga felt his fur bristle angrily, growing frustrated with the red wolf’s constant jeering and continuous show of disrespect but trying his best to remain calm. “Believe it or not what happens to you is my problem!” he growled, keeping his voice as even as possible. “You’re supposed to be this packs lead warrior, or at least so I have been told, so I would greatly appreciate it if you got over here and started acting like it!” Kairi made her way over to the small gathering, moving with a little more spring in her step then usual as she followed Cwen and seated herself next to Firefly. Shako to his place beside his sister, a slight grin tracing his features and it became clear to Draeg that the white wolf had found some amusement in his sister’s antics. Arching a brow at the warrior the amber Dragga scent a quick flurry of snow flying towards Shako with swift motion of his paw, a mischievous smirk tracing his muzzle as he flicked his tail playfully and bit back an amused snigger.
Kairi suddenly snapped her jaws at Firefly causing Draeg to give out a slight growl but upon seeing that it was all in good nature the amber Dragga quickly let the matter go, though that didn’t stop him from giving his mate a reassuring lick or nuzzling her affectionately. His ears perked up upon hearing Shako’s question and the amber Dragga turned his attention towards the white warrior, lifting his head thoughtfully Draeg pondered this for a moment before letting his gaze roll across the small gathering of wolves that surrounded him. He eventually settled his amber gaze on Amaya for a brief moment, a smile forming on his battered muzzle as an idea formed in his mind. “I want you and Amaya to take Kop, Amaya, and whoever else volunteers and train them to warriors.” He explained. “Despite our numbers Ge-Rad is lacking in trained warriors and I would like to rectify that before the war takes place, this will be good experience for Amaya and Garm knows that Kop could use the training. I want you both take one of them as your apprentice, I’ll have Koan take whoever’s left though you there’s a chance that one or all of you could be saddled up with two or more apprentices.” Glancing over at Kairi he rolled his shoulders into a rather nonchalant shrug. “So what about it, are you both in or what?”
Cwen pulled up besides Draeg, dipping her head respectfully to Chalos before tossing Firefly a dangerous look and seating herself alongside her mate. Their eyes locked as Cwen turned to face him and she whispered softly into his ear as not to attract the attention of the rest of the pack who were still discussing the best course of attack with Chalos. “Perhaps though I like to think that I’m not.” He whispered jokingly, however upon seeing how worried Cwen truly was about the whole ordeal Draeg gave out a sympathic whine and gently rubbed the side of her head. “Listen, I really don’t like it either but we’ve been at war with Serg since the day he discovered you giving birth in Sarnes without his permission. We tried to put the matter behind us and forget what happened but we can’t, Serg is going to keep coming after us unless we decide to do something about it. He’s bent on getting revenge for us humiliating him on his home turf and so long as he is our pups will never be safe. Tension was already forming between the packs when we took in Amaya but after what happened to Cal I honestly think that the pack saw that as an invitation to war, I know that Cal and Lydair both do. I know that your concerned about this but I promise you on my ancestors, I will protect you and our pups, no harm will befall any of you so long as I breathe.”
