Nodding her head, she listens carefully to her Dragga. So he was unknowing as well...of course, it was quite obvious he was attacked.
Agreeing immediatly to her Alpha's words (her blood was rather heated with fret at this moment, so to those who knew her could tell she was on the jumpy side) she grabs the bramble in her proud jaws and helps to pull her fallen comrad towards the den.
Looking warilly into the den, her eyes caught sight of three wriggling forms, and her heart softens in a motherly way. It was maternal instinct, an instinct found in almost all she-Vargs. The very sight of cubs made her eyes soften as much as her heart melted, and immediatly knew that cubs made a pack complete. However, this was the closest she had gotten to newborn cubs, for in her previous pack when her mother had another litter, her questioning muzzle was snapped at and she turned away. However, now that she was in a pack that was not full of superstitious crones, she had the freedom of murmuring, "How beautiful..." in an awe-filled wonder at life.

Firefly gulped, her cyan orbs watched the grey skies searching for an answer of the packs sudden disappearance of the pack. Uskiya had just given birth and there was no one in sight Firefly wanted to howl out in despair as she began once again into pace about the mouth of the den, she racked her brain for a well enough answer.
The hybrid stopped, something was strong along the winds. Firefly lifted her muzzle into the cold breeze and scented it, her mouth opening as she stuck her tongue out, her breath visible as it curled white mist in the air. It smelt like blood. Firefly let out a quiet whimper and took a step forward but dared no to step two feet more away from the den's mouth.
Just then out from the bracken came a figure. Firefly crouched immediately and her lips unfolded to reveal gleaming fangs that she bared toward the intruders. But what she saw made her gasp. There was her mate, with.... Firefly squinted as her cyan orbs focused o on the wounded one. It was Cal!
Firefly gasp, her mouth open and jaw dropping as she brought her worried gaze to Draeg. She did not say a word but her eyes spoke for its self. What happened? Firefly sidestepped so DRaeg and Cal could make their way toward the Den.
Firefly looked to Cal and nodded gravely as she turned her eyes toward the Den, "Uskiya!" she cried, "They've returned." she informed the mother and looked to Draeg as she too a step out of the way, for Cal. She padded over to Draeg and nuzzled him gently. Her expression still grave though relieved that Cal had returned. Though he had returned with injuries and wounds, the tan hybrid knew well that this was no problem for Lydair to fix.

There was obviously no answer as to where the others had gone, but the awakening pups brought Uskiya back to her role of tending mother. She bedded down so her pups could once again find her warmth, though she could allready see the personalities of each of the pups developing. She worried for the black she pup Ayasha, Cal and her had decided the names of the three pups and Uskiya saw it fitting. A small chuckle came from her maw as she watched each pup struggle about. Firefly's voice came, obviously troubled by the dissapearance of the others. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure they're near by." She said, hoping to calm her. She turned back to the pups, Chilaili crawled across the fur, murming her protest to where her mother had gone. Though Uskiya knew the pups couldn't hear she still spoke their names. "Chilaili , Skep my dear,s I am over here." she extended her muzzle and softly gave a lick to the small pups, upon Skep's protest she picked him up and laid him gently by her furred belly. Ayasha murmured next and Uskiya turned to her and nudged her alongside Skep " Ayasha I'm over here, not there." Still seeing Chilaili who had been snuggling with her brother now alone Uskiya picked her up by ehr scruff and drew her near to her warmth. She smiled lovingly and laid her head down to sleep.
Before to long something outside the mouth of the den caught the gray fae's auds. She opened her golden orb to gaze into the fading light and oncoming coldness. She drew her tail in around her pups. sheilding them from the brisk air. She lifted her head and sifted the air, her nose catching the familar scent of her pack mates. Then Firefly dissapeared from sight, momentarily befor eshe could be seen from inside. Joyfully she called to Uskiya. The pack mates had returned. Uskiya didn't know that Cal was wth them, nor did she know he was hurt. The scent of the other vargs was dim within the den. Yelae peered into the den and spoke softly of the pup's beauty. "Why thankyou Yelae." She knew little of the white varg but she was pleased to see a familar face. Relaxing once more the fae laid her head down, something still not feelng quite right, there was a scent coming into the den. One that was familar but masked by faint blood. She cocked her head and called out. "What's going on out there?" Hoping someone would explain this to her. Strange things were happening and with newborns she was fearful. The still born pup was hidden by the wall, not to be burried until Cal could see him. Unamed but not unloved.

Furred ears twitched nervously and Lydair, clearly agitated but working to stay composed, ground her teeth together, pacing as Cal attacked the herbs she had placed before him; wide-eyed, a hollow laugh stuttered from her lips and she dipped her head to the emissary, thinking how, just days ago, a certain Sarnes member had journeyed to Ge-Rad- and was allowed to stay. Dwindling trust was now affecting the she-Varg Healer, but she wasn’t close to admitting it to anyone but Koan, the only able-bodied Varg she currently believed she could trust without harsh reprimands or an awkward silence. Her ears curled and flattened as she quickly thought what she could and would achieve next; her eyes sparked a blue-green and she growled with displeasure; the sudden stress that had been thrown around Ge-Rad was enclosing her like a mist, shortening her temper and hasting her unsure-ness . Through the fray of voices, only one seemed to be directed to her- Yelae, her brother’s love. The femmes had only recently become friends, only to have both Yelae and Shako snap at Lydair’s mate, Koan, and, protective of her love, Lydair had snapped back. Shaking her head stiffly at the white Varg’s question, the Healer growled. ”No. I don’t believe we should tell her until Draeg is with us there; he’ll be able to explain it better than I as he is our Dragga and although I found Cal, Draeg has been in his presence longer than either of us.” Flicking her tail, the femme barely caught the nod the amber Dragga tossed her way and Lydair murmured beneath her breath and dipped her own short maw in return; she lowered her muzzle and clamped her strong jaws firmly about the pricking branches; tugging she began easing her wounded friend back to his mate and his newborn cubs.
Letting go of her burden, Lydair woofed sadly to Firefly before making her way slowly to Uskiya; unsure of whether or not to break the news to the gray mother herself or letting Draeg introduce the problem she hung back before shuffling forward, meeting amber eyes with glazed cyan ones, parting her lips to determine the exact words she should say. ”Uskiya…Cal was…attacked. We have him here; Draeg, Yelae, and I. He’s a bit unstable, please; try to give him room- he wants to see you. And his cubs. I thought he was going to sprint here himself…” she added, trying pathetically to, somehow, someway, lighten the mood Ge-Rad would be placed into. Draeg had placed Cal closely to the yawning mouth of the whelping den, and Lydair bent down and gently nuzzled him, frowning dejectedly- what if she couldn’t save her friend’s life? ”Uskiya..” She whispered at last, lowering her head. ”I’m sorry. I’ve given him herbs already, to fight infection, and to fight the pain.” she leaned forward to nuzzle her friend before stepping backwards, turning towards her Dragga with a shudder, her mouth opening and closing as she fought to keep the tears from slipping down her gentle façade. ”I don’t know…don’t know what to do.” Lydair whispered, the shock of it all finally blowing towards her. ”Draeg…” Lydair never finished her sentence as she slumped forward, staring into the bracken- Cal’s life could very well be in her paws. Perhaps not, if by the fate and will of Fenris and Tor…but it was a possibility.

Anxious. That's all Cal was as Lydair began working on his wounds. He didn't even feel the bitter taste in his mouth nor the stinging pain of his wounds. Extremely determined to get back up on his feet and even if he had to crawl to the whelping den, he would. Though a small part of him knew that he was in no condition to even move a muscle and it would be wise to let Lydair fnish and then think of a way to transport him to the den. However, Draeg's words were somewhat reassuring to the brown he-varg as he promised to get him to the den as soon as possible. As he was explaining the situation to Draeg, he growled kind words to stop and save his strength. Snarling impatiently as he wanted not to be interrupted and he continued his story. But as soon as he got ot his warning the realization came to his Dragga's face and an angry snarl erupted from him. Feeling slightly relieved that he had been able to notify the Dragga of what their current situation is. Sarnes would never let them go, not after Cwen's departure. There were spies trying to get information from Ge-rad and Cal knew that after his situation it would foreshadow an upcoming war. Cal had done all he could for this pack, and he wondered if he would have the strength in the future to be able to participate in it. A small laugh echoed his mind, of course he would be able to get back into shape. He would kill them all if he had to, it was their fault that he almost lost his mate and cubs. Yes, revenge will be sweet.
Soon, his thoughts were soon diminished as Lydair had finished and Draeg was signalling her to pull him onto the thick branch so that they could pull him to the whelping den. Forgetting about his plot for revenge at the moment, as both excitement and fear filled him as he was approaching the whelping den. He was worrying about his cubs, as he wanted them for so long. Several moments later, Cal could see the den that Uskiya and him chose suns ago. Firefly was guarding the den and her expression shocked expression on seeing his return. Her cyan orbs still to be screaming many questions at him, but instead of answering her he gave a small grunt in return. Finally, he was at the mouth of the whelping den. Both Lydair and Yelae had entered the den. From the outside Yelae could hear her giving praises to his cubs. Relieved knowing that his cubs had be alright, but now he was scrambling off the limb. Lydair was trying to explain what was happening to the new mother. Cal thought that she was doing a good job but in the end he would have to explain it all himself. When Lydair came up to him she nuzzled him gently, and he could see the worried look on her eyes. "Don't worry Lydair, you've done the best that you can. I thank you for bringing me back here." growled Cal.
Very slowly, Cal finally had the strength to crawl slowly through the den. Yellow orbs scanning the familiar walls and familiar scents poured in his nostrils. At last, his yellow orbs fell on the still born pup near the wall. Letting out a small sigh as he stared at the small form. He knew that he would have to bury it after. Turning around he caught a glimpse of a pair of golden optics. Letting out a small whine as he finally approached his mate. Cal gasped as he saw the three tiny forms sleeping near her and he allowed his tongue to slowly graze over them. He was so happy, his heart was swelling with tears of joy. "They're so beautiful. They look just like their mother." whispered Cal. "Uskiya, I'm sorry...for everything...I wasn't here most of the time when you were carrying our pups, nor I was here when they were born. I just hoped that life wasn't too harsh when I wasn't around. I've missed you so much, life was hell without you. But I'm here now...forgive me."

Lydair's voice broke through the confusion. USkiya's auds perked to here the hybrid. "Cal?" her hopes shot up but dropped momentarily as Lydair mentioned he had been attacked. "Lydair, what happened?" Uskiya called out but soon her worry diminished as Cal appeared. She looked up her eyes widened. Her heart jumped from it's depth. She couldn't believe her eyes. In the entrancde of the den, hurt but happy to see her was her mate. "Cal! Where have you been?" She asked as he looked to the dead pup. Uskiya looked to it and let out a small whine. "I couldn't save it." She said sadly. She smiled as her mate's eyes fell on the three healthy pups. "thiis one has your coloring." she nudged Skep. Her tongue licked Cal's maw, she was so happy to see him, though she was worried about his current condition. "Are you hurt badly?" She asked, seeing that he had run into some trouble. "The pups, it is so cold out I'm afraid for them, but with you here you can help keep them warm." She nudged the pups slightly forward, hoping that they would crawl foward to their father and finally know him. "They have the names we agreed on, this one" she licked Chilaili. "Her name is Chilaili, her brother Skep." She then turned to the brown pup, then finally she licked the black fae. "This is Ayasha." She looked lovingly to her pups. " Where were you?" She asked turning to Cal, a worried expression on her face.

(((Keep it moving, folks! -ushers-)))
Silver-sheened fur was dampened as a warm tongue caressed her back and head; the eldest of the three cubs raised her tiny muzzle, her gums bared as she squeaked in primal response to her mother's touch. A mind clock-worked what was happening, although she was much too yuong to understand anything; the intuitive knowledge that another had joined her mother created lines of confusion wrinkling across her silver-tan face; Chilaili squirmed from her mother's nuzzle, petite paws scratching at the earth as she tried desperately to crawl towards her father; she couldn't see him, couldn't hear his awe-filled whisper, but she could scent her mother's musky scent around him, and so another murmur was pitched from her throat. Small bits of amber fur clung stiffly to her as the rubble beneath her made it hard for the blind and deaf she-cub to inch to Cal, but, grunting with strain, she finally was able to plop herself beside her father's large paw; wailing softly she proceeded to open and close her rounded snout, calling for her mother's milk; the fur that now brushed her tongue as she licked her father's paw was no substitute for the life-giving liquid, but she squeaked once more before falling silent, rubbing against Cal and bobbing her head unsteadily as she gazed at him through shaded silver eyes. Hiccuping suddenly, her body flopped to the side and she curled together before unwinding and flipping onto her back; flailing little limbs she managed to relieve herself of the uncomfortable, unwanted position and lay on her belly once more.
A breif, slicing wind bit at her young body and she squealed, curling tight against cal's paw before turnign herself instinctively to her mother- amazingly, it would seem to an adult, watching Varg that she looked directly at her brother Skep, and opened her silver muzzle in a calling squeak- although she ahd no vision, and when she finally opened her eyes it would be earlier than normal and one orb would never have sight; the other would only have poor vision; a pity for such a young and innocent creature.

Skep curled in a ball as his mother guided him to her side. He was quite comfortable in this darkened world where he knew so little. His mother was the dim light that guided him, soon when his eyes would open he would see that she was the bright golden light that kept him where he belonged. His small nose twitched and he scented the smell of a nother. Though his mother's scent was there as well his tiny brain only could come to the solution that it was his father. With a squeak he crawled happily forward, dragging himself over his mother's paw. He paused only momentarily when the cold air brushed his tiny fur. Unprotected from the world outside, yet this fresh air that froze him made him yern to know what it was. He crawled again, braving the elements to reach his father. With no true sense of anything he bumped into his father's leg. Where suprised he let out a tiny growl. There would be other growls in his life, especially when he and Ayasha would be older. There would be many bitter words from the black pup's maw. but now it was his father that he clung to, to sheild himself from the world outside.
The black pup hung limply as her mother dropped her beside her other siblings, but soon Chilaili tokok off to welcome the new comer. His scent had that of Uskiya, which meant that this was Ayasha's father. As her siblings went to greet him, she hung back quietly. Alone in the darkness of her being. Her mother nudged her forward but still the little pup remained still. The shift of temperature drove her back to the sde of her mother. Her tiny head turned to the direction of her father. She let out a squeak, knowing only to do so to get anything. Her skills were little and her vocabulary was that of a squeak and murmur. Fearful of the world, yet curious at the same time little Ayasha stayed by her mother, where the warmth kept her calm. Though she longed to feel her father's fur, or longed in the sense of exploration, she still clung to waht she knew. For this was all she knew. It would be hard for the she pup to face unstableness later. But for now she only knew two things, here beside her was her mother, where she couldnt't feel nor see was her father.
