Warmth. Darkness. Such was the world of one small cub, whose only knowledge was a natural sense of security within the womb of her mother. Small ears were plastered against a silken, furred head, and she felt the urge to kick out; it had become confined, in the time that had gone by. With each moon she grew. She could feel the heartbeat of her dam, and knew there must be something else she was meant to do, but, so young and helpless, for the she-cub wasn’t even alive to thousands of Vargs. But she would never know, for innocence is simply that: innocent. Wrapped in a wet shroud, she felt a sharp pulling around her. And then the warmth was no more. Curled tightly in a fetal crescent, the young tan-hued cub’s paws, tiny and clawed, huddled together. Trembling, she had no need to move or pull herself forward. Breath was still unknown. Light was natural memory, one that she had not yet experienced. Her name was Chilaili, the first-born daughter of Uskiya, although her mother’s name would fall on clasped ears; flaps of skin that hung, limply from her body. Her pulse slowed, as if to cease, but suddenly a fervent licking brought her back. Warmth now gathered in her, covered her fur. Wet nostrils flared; lungs gasped for breath as Chilaili inhaled for her first time. Another star appeared in the sky- although it would be many, many years until it was filled with the femme’s spirit. For now it was simply her guardian, watching over her silently, a sliver of silver in a cloak of ebon.
A gentle murmur escaped the cub’s dainty maw and as her mother’s muzzle urged her forward, Chilaili gave a squeak of protest but crawled feverishly, small black claws scrabbling at the floor of the den. Short limbs flailed helplessly, but the scent of her dam’s milk caused a pathetic wail to fill the den, tiny and miniscule, but a begging cry. Again she felt added warmth as Uskiya nudged her forward; searching pads touched fur and she braced front legs, and, a head bobbing on an unsteady neck, she flopped herself to her mother. Squeaking softly, a questing mouth opened widely and she latched onto her mother, kneading at the soft belly with petite paws until the liquid filled her throat and she swallowed greedily, the milk dribbling down her puppy chin. She instinctively felt the bodies of two other scrambling cubs, her brother and sister,, but the thoughts were lost in her mind, for her only thought was that of cub happiness and milk. In just a few weeks she would have her full senses- sight, sound- but this young cub-she was different. Her sight would never fully come to s silver orb, and would be nearly lost to the other, a gorgeous vivid blue; her ears would be dulled of hearing until, in her first few years, it would be gone altogether. She would be alone, in a shroud of darkness- who would be her light; besides the star she would never see? He mother’s and father’s faces would fade from her memory if she didn’t hold them close. Why, one would think, would the great Fenris and Tor break such senses, keep them from the young Chilaili? Perhaps she was an enigma, destined to teach others a life lesson. Instead, perhaps, they ahd given her the greatest gift of all- unknown beauty. The puppy tan would fade from he rpelt, leaving her a stunning silver and white femme by her sixth season of life, over her first year.
But, one could only wonder, and lay in wait for the she-cub. Would she grow strong, into something her pack could be proud of? Or would she remain a burden, not being able to aid her Dragga and Drappa? A sharp wind barreled through the opening in the cave, and Chilaili shivered, pressing closer to the bodies beside her and against her mother. Her body felt numb, full, and she gurgled a hiccup the jerked her body upwards before sprawling contentedly beside her herself into her original fetal position. She was safe; it created a mental lull that brought sleep swiftly.

((hehe sorry I'm far behind! i know you wanted to post next lydair but hehe ^^;)
Firefly's tail wagged excitedly as she padded near the Healer. "Three? Three!? Oh how exciting!" The tan hybrid called over the cobalt femme's shoulder.
She looked around but still there was no Cal to be found. Firefly let out a soft whine and turned her gaze back onto Lydair and nodded. "Alright, I'll stay here then" she said and began to pad back toward the den when the scent of something foreign came to Firefly's nose, "Lydair...whats..." Firefly began but before she could say anymore Lydair had bolted. "Lydair! But where are you going?!" Firefly barked and sighed.
She turned and padded over to the den. She looked around. "whats going on?" she whispered, she could tell something was wrong. Some thing was going on. Where was Draeg? Fly wondered. She wanted to bolt out and search, run after Lydair but she knew she had to stay with Uskiya.
Little did the tanned femme know, but the mother's mate had been found. Fly paced impatiently, waiting for someone, something to come.
((sorry this is so bad, but parents are calling me!))

Silken ears curled against a small head and the Healer grimaced visibly as Draeg’s blazing howl thundered in her auds. As the sound faded into a thin echo, the femme parted her lips and let her own part the air, melodic but urgent and frantic. Dipping her head, Lydair leapt into a tearing run, glancing down momentarily to see Cal’s paws twitch- suddenly another scent reeked in the air, as if it had suddenly appeared. It was a dampening fog, the way it clouded her senses, and the cobalt fae retched and recoiled, gasping ”Balkar…Sarnes.” Shaking her head, another howl escaped her lips- although this one was fierce and filled with a broiling anger- and again her legs exploded, churning over the skittering leaves, propelling the fae forward. She briefed herself mentally over the precise medicinal herbs to collect; Lydair knew poppy would be needed but she didn’t like the thought of Call falling into a sedated sleep and never waking up. Curling a lip in contempt, the femme growled and hesitantly slowed near Firefly, the cobalt femme’s bright cyan gaze now shrouded with pain and a frantic rush. ”Firefly!” she barked urgently, ”Guard this den. No matter what happens, nor how crowded this clearing becomes, let no one in except for Draeg- and whatever wolf he happens to be carrying. And…don’t let Uskiya out.” She ended with a whisper. ”No matter what she says, tell her to stay in the den. “ A slow blur of white flashed through Lydair’s vision and she nearly missed the scent of her friend Yelae; she had no time to think of telling her to get others but instead the scout seemed to have heard Draeg’s call and although she hadn’t meant to seem rude, it seemed even worse to slow to have a nice chat and instead she kept going, thinking only of the bevy of cubs that now lay in her friend’s den and the terrifying thought that may have to grow up without a father to love and protect them. The thought alone spurred the fae and with a sighing grunt she flew forward, her speed amazing for a hybrid; it seemed as if she was either being chased or she herself doing the chasing the way her tongue lolled from her mouth. Long limbs extending, she finally broke through the clearing’s border and stopped short, spinning into a tripping trot before resigning herself and simply sitting down, the quickest way to regain her balance. Azure orbs flashing, she eyed the grounds and what herbs hadn’t yet fallen prey to the deadly frost. Delighted with what she viewed, she cried out, ecstatic, and bounded forward several tail-length to the vines of mugwort that seeped over the ground. Delicate white flowers studded the green stalks and she snatched several strands of the herb into her jaws; eyeing another plant she dropped the mugwort and darted towards the flowered plant. Bright orange in color, its beauty was natural but pleasant in the dazzling snows and rime that spread over Ge-Rad’s meadow. Marigold.
Wincing and beating herself mentally, Lydair wished she had spotted ginseng, but the plant was rare in winter and she hadn’t thought to collect any in fall. Sighing, She plucked the marigold and made her way to the mugwort; picking up both she coaxed herself to force back the gag that choked her throat; mugwort was bitter, along with marigold, but she needed both and the pungent smell and taste would definitely have an effect on any wolf. Water, she thought suddenly. And webbing. Eyeing various trees, she picked her way to the sap-filled trunks and snorted with disgust, prickling her muzzle. Sweeping her tail over the bark, myriad spider webs gathered on her thick fur and stuck stubbornly, thickened with what sap had leaked from the porous holes that lera had created. As for water…Lydair saw no possible way to bring him water, not now. Snow blanketed the ground, but it was light, and although it wet her paws to a relatively dripping state she wasn’t sure if her Dragga would agree with her brining back mud-caked snow-water to a hurt, and possibly dying, he-wolf. Turning back now, she urged herself into a tired run; the adrenaline that had coursed through her before had now dwindled and her breath was coming in panting gasps. Sluggish and dragging, her paws cleared marks through the few inches of snow and her claws stuck to the earth; puffs of smoke seemed to blast from her nares with each exhaling blow. She passed Firefly again, the plants drooping from her tightly clenched jaws, and glanced momentarily to see if Uskiya was still in her whelping den, doing fine. Ahead, the scent still hung strongly and she breathed a silent, gratifying prayer to her gods for her blessing of herbal knowledge; Draeg could have done it, she was sure, but without it she would still be without a pack as well.
”Draeg.” She growled, voice amazingly calm. ”I have the herbs…but water was hard to get.” A splattered trail of liquid had followed her paw-steps, but her paws still held quantities of moisture. ”Cal!” she barked loudly, growing rough with the fading wolf. ”Eat these. I don’t care how bitter they are; you’ll feel better if you eat the, and you have three new cubs to worry about, besides your mate.” The Healer moved to his sides now, exposed muscles tensed and twitched, and Lydair whined and bent to clean them, her tongue running gently over his wounds. Relatively satisfied for such a brief limit, she craned her neck to pull the cobwebs and ginger-colored sap from her tail. The stuff stuck to her muzzle, but she smeared it on anyway with one flexing paw; reaching around she pulled a stalks of marigold and woundwort, one apiece, and mashed the plants in her jaws, gagging her leaning to rub watering, rapidly blinking cyan orbs on a thin foreleg. Vision blurred slightly, she waited for the swimming to die down before spitting the mixture onto Cal’s injuries and trying her hardest to get the stuff to seep into his side and back. ”Stay with us, Cal…” she whispered, mind growing tedious as she fell into a routine healing pattern. ”Your time for everlasting hunts hasn’t come yet…”

A warm dark brown furred male shifted uneasily, the comforting are he had known for most of his life so far was changing. Though his mind wasn't developed enough to truly know what was happening he knew it was changing. The cold air of outside shook him into reality and his mother's warm tongue awakened his senses. His eyes were closed and would be useless for a while, his auds mainly flaps that adorned his head. His maw opened and he gurgled a squeak, this was his only accomplishment he felt proud of. His nose could smell the nurishment that he would need and with nudges from his mother he crawled to her side where he would suckle. He felt the presence of another, his sister, barely older than him she had arrved first and now curled beside their mother. The air from outside was bitter and warning, the winter would try the pup's survival, but despite the threat Skep felt brave as he curled close to his mother's paw and the scent of her fur lingered in his nostrils.
The black she pup was forced into the world, she could not see nor hear it's presence but she was here. Her mother kept her in the world and forced out a squeak barely audible to the mother. This was Ayasha, different from her siblings in her pelt, but she did not know this. Her brother was allready ahead of her, with their sister at the belly of their mother. the black she pup at first did not move, she felt no need. Her mind raced within it'self, preoccuping the newborn with simple colors. The wet nose of her mother pushed her forward and the hunger that growled within drove the newborn toward the milk. Her paws pushed on the furred belly as Ayasha had siddled in between her two siblings. She was barely aware of the world around her, but the warmth of her mother soothed her, she was the youngest of the litter. Perhaps she would be the one to hold back the most, or the one to be adventurous. Her hunger lingered and soon the weigh of sleep enveloped the pup and she dozed quietly under the watchful care of her mother.

Blood still oozing from his once handsome pelt Cal layed there. The pain surrounding his eyes and he pleaded for it to stop. Yellow orbs that were losing focus every seconds. The brown he-varg was experiencing so much pain that he just wished that death just came and greeted him. His mind taking in carefully the scene he thought was what he was going to see last. Taking a deep sigh and just like that is life would flash before his eyes. He would never see the next spring, never again will experience the thrill of a hunt, never will be with his mate ever again. Letting out an angry growl as this thought crossed his mind, it was really unfair...It seems like his whole life was set up, every time he had something good or experienced happiness. Something always goes wrong. But was life always fair? No, nothing was ever fair. Sadness now appeared in his eyes replacing the anger as he thought on how his life has reached it's peak. Cal had a beautiful mate, he was going to have cubs, a member of a great pack, and he had lots of friends to help him when he needed help. And because of something so small, he had lost everything. Not even he could escape fate. Though during the few suns where his body was slowly deteriorating he realised that the pain he was experiencing the most was not the physical pain. It was the fact knowing that he was going to leave everyone behind while he moved on. Knowing the pain that Uskiya would have to endure once she found him, his future pups that would be born without a father...He loved them all so much, and he will never have the chance to teach his children all the things that he had learned. Never hear the line "When will I be ready for my first hunt dad?" Or living long enough to see his grandchildren. Nature made it so that the wolf could not cry, but if they could, his eyes would be full of them and they would drip down his bloodied muzzle. Instead, he gave a small whine as he prayed that someone would find him before his time came.
Darkness was creeping up in the sky as the temperature dropped rapidly. Even though the wind wasn't blowing very hard Cal could feel it blowing through his mangled coat. His breathing was becoming shallow, as he tried to focused his eyes at the trees ahead. Suddenly, something moving in front caught his attention. Growling and trying to signal it's attention whatever it was. The first thing he saw was long slender legs and a familiar scent entered his nostrils mixed with the blood and he knew who it was. It was Lydair. Soon, the hybrid leapt to Cal's side and he could make out the fear, anger, and confusion in her cyan orbs. "Lydair..great...great to see..you." Cal choked. Each word he said toke a great deal of effort. "How's...Uskiya doing?" However, her answer to his question made his eyes widen in shock. "Uskiya had my pups? already? Minutes ago?" said Cal faintly. Snarling and fighting to stand up, only to be repelled by another explosion of pain. Cal felt that he had to see them, there's a chance that he won't make it. He wanted to see their beautiful forms, to give them tenderly licks only a father can...During the moment in which he tried to get up, he didn't even notice that Lydair had signalled for Draeg, no sooner he found the amber Dragga bursting through onto the scene.
Like Lydair, Draeg darted over to his side and began cleaning his wounds. Cal yelped as this action had caught him off guard but before he could respond he found his friend speaking. Bringing on the topic of his mate, Cal exploded into a series of question. "Is Uskiya doing alright? How many cubs were there? What happened ever since my absence?" yelled Cal. He wanted to know everything that was going on. This sudden burst of information almost made him forget the pain and the feeling of blood pouring out of his open wounds. Barely noticing Draeg's frantic words to try and keep him alive. But now his yellow orbs regained some of the spark that he had. Suddenly, he had something to live for. He will not submit himself to death. In his whole life experience he had cheated death so many times. When his parents died, human traps, Uskiya's brothers, the river, and at the waterfall. Why not do it again?
Do not give up now, you are an idiot for surrendering. You are weak, pathetic, your mother and father wouldn't want to die this way. Like Draeg said, you got too much going for you right now. Do not give them the sastifaction of killing you...
His mind fluttered with new thoughts, these thoughts were convincing him to fight to the very end. Snarling in agreement he turned to see his Dragga commanding Lydair to find herbs for him. Cal lay there watching him take a deep breath and let out a booming howl throughout Ge-rad lands signalling them for help. "Draeg..." whispered Cal. "Draeg...I need to tell you something..." Letting out a shuddering sigh he tried his best to continue. "You are probably wondering how I ended up like this...long....long story...I won't go into detail right now..but I must warn you to patrol these areas carefully...ever since....Cwen left Sarnes they have been plotting revenge aganist you both...watch out for spies that may sneak in these lands." His warnings was for the better of the pack, and it was more important now since Ge-rad have just had three young pups added to it's population. "Look out Draeg, look out..."
No sooner did Lydair came back with the herbs for the brown he-varg, the time in between felt like an eternity. Though the worry and anticipation on his mind he didn't seem to feel the pain as much. He wanted to hurry and at least go to the whelping den and see the cubs that were of his blood. He didn't seem to notice that an extra varg by the name of Yelae who was a scout of Ge-rad. Lydair dropped the herbs in front of him and before she even instructed him to eat it he began devouring it like he haven't eat in days. The bitter taste that filled his mouth but he didn't care, kept chewing until it became a paste and he swallowed it. Soon Lydair began working on his wounds, he would occasionally let out growls of pain. But he didn't move as he hoped to jump back on his feet to see his mate and cubs.

Firefly began to pace, the dramatic silence was hard to bare as the tan hybrid stopped and looked around. Her ears cocked for any sound, but non was forth coming. She shook her head and turned padding closer to the mouth of the den. She tilted her head and tried to gaze into the deep rich darkness. Her ears cocked and a smile lined her lips as she heard the soft sounds of newborn yelps.
Firefly then sat down on her haunches and sighed thinking back to when she had given birth. It had been a long night. Fly then looked about. Her worried eyes searching the corners for any sign of life. Where is everyone? wondered Firefly to herself.
Her cyan orbs then raised to look up at the cloudy skies. A sign that winter was forthcoming. Firefly whimpered silently and turned around, "Uskiya, Do you need anything?" Firefly asked, her voice projecting into the dark den.
Firefly then jumped, her ears pricked as she turned around and let out a vicious snarl but soon dropped when she saw the cobalt Fae. "Lydair!" Firefly barked, glad to finally see someone. And perhaps Lydair could explain to her what was happening and where everyone was. "You gave me a fright!" Firefly said exasperatedly but she then cocked her head with a frown, "Lydair what is wr-" Firefly began but was cut short as the Healer spoke fast and in a hushed tone. "But-but Lydair, what is going on?" Firefly said, in a whisper.
Firefly looked to Lydair as she tried to speak, get some answers as she nodded in frantic reply to Lydair. "But!" Firefly said her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water as she watched the frantic Lydair spin on her heels and exit just as fast as she had arrived. Firefly frowned and cocked her head. She didn't know what was going on, but this was not a good sign. She turned around to look at the whelping den and padded toward the entrance and plopped herself in front of the narrow hole. Her ears perked. Was Draeg going to arrive? Was there something dangerous lurking in Ge rad? Firefly whimpered, her pups were still fast asleep in their den, she knew, but she was worried if that something found them. But maybe something else had happened? Was it Trile who had chased after a herla?
Firefly whined as she stood by the den. Hoping that someone would come back, tell her what was going on.

Uskiya woke as the pups crawled saround and she smiled at her precious newborns, there was something about the tannish pup that brought her attention. She and Cal had thought of the names for the pups before, and the fae wanted to speak them to the pups. Though she knew they couldn't hear her, the first born would be Chilaili, the male Skep and the dark femme would be Ayasha. But when Cal came, wherever he was, she would tell him the names and hope that he still lked them.
Her auds perked up as scampering and voices crowded the mouth of the den. The fae, reluctant to leave her cubs for a second strained her ear. She thought she heard the voice of Firefly and Lydair, but she couldn't be sure. Suddenly Fly's voice came through the den and Uskiya looked up to see the vague outline of the hybrids form. "I'm allright for now. What's going on out there?" Uskiya looked to the fading light of outside, the weather was cooling and soon the mother would need some more cover for the ground of the den. The fur that now decorated it wouldn't be able to keep the pups warm for much longer. Uskiya nipped at her fur, she pulled some of it out and laid it around the pups. Once her pups were well asleep and curled by her belly the fae looked up to Firefly, she could see her just outside the den entrance. Perhaps something was wrong, if Firefly was so close to the den that meant that there were no other vargs around. Where had they gone, where was Cal. These were his pups as well but he was no where to be found. The gray furred fae let out a whine and settled her head down so that the curve of her neck was around her pups, the unsettling air about Ge-rad made the mother nervous and she felt very protective of her newborns.

She took a step back, queasy from the blood. Strange, for wolves should not get nauseous from the sight of blood. However, with the knowlege that it was the blood from a fellow comrad, she had every right to be queasy and a little frightened. Lydair had come, with herbs that Cal was now wolfing ((Pardon the pun) down. In the care of their trusted Healer, Cal would surely live. Lydair was perhaps the greatest Healer she knew...though she was the only Healer she knew.
Her old pack had no Healer, only a pathetic lump of a storyteller that casted nervous glances over her shoulder every now and then. Yelae always thought it was because of her, their own little Wolfbane, it was because of a fact that Yelae still had yet to know of. The Storyteller had murdered a Varg belonging to another pack many years ago, before she joined this pack. She had gotten into a fight with a rogue female, and killed her. Frightened, she covered up her smell with the scent of bear over the corpse to make it appear as though a bear did it, and fled, joining Rose's pack shortly after Yelae's birth. She always had the nagging thought in her head that the mate of the Varg would come and kill her, but she did not know the whole of the story. After finding his mate dead, the male Varg himself died of a broken heart soon after, leaving their only daughter as an orphan.
However, Yelae does not know the story, and even the daughter ony knows the lie of the story. But as Yelae sat there and watched Lydair, she really and truly was thankful that she had found a friend in this Varg, and they were no longer enemies. Pondering about Cal's mate, she looks at Lydair, "Does Uskiya know of this yet?" she inqiures.
((Mnn, the story should sound familiar to some, Lydair at least! ^.^))

Firefly looked around the copse, her ears twitching. everything was once again silent and daunting for the tanned femme. She wished that someone anyone would just appear and finally end this nerve racking silence and wait.
Then all if a sudden the echoing voice of a femme rang and Firefly turned sharply, acknowledging it to be Uskiya who had spoken. At the reply of the new mother Firefly felt relieved that the pups and the mother were all okay. "Good, thats good to hear" Firefly said and she thought about her next reply to Uskiya.
She didn't want Uskiya to stress and worry too much. For Firefly knew herself how stressful it was to be inside the den and tend to pups day in and day out when something was happening right outside. It was as if she was confined in that enclosure, locked in its depths. Firefly stopped her pacing that she hadn't even noticed she had started.
"uhhh.." she said thinking. Well she didn't even know herself what was going on. "Well, I'm not too sure Uskiya." Firefly said, wondering if lying would be a right thing to do. But then again how could Fly lie when she had nothing to lie about? "I don't know what is going on. Lydair ran off to tend to something. I'm not sure, no one has told me anything yet. But don't you worry Uskiya, everything seems fine and.." Firefly said and she turned around, her cyan gaze starring blindly into the black darkness of the den entrance.
"I'll be here, if anything happens, m'dear" she said with determination, her voice soft yet strong. "Now hush Uskiya, save your strength, perhaps Lydair has gone to fetch some herbs for you." Firefly told, "Now rest, you must be tired, everything is fine, and if there is anything it of the ordinary you'll be the first I'll report too" Firefly reassured and sat again on her haunches as she took up her place as guard once more. She just wished Lydair would hurry up.

Skep momentrily pulled himself from the restful nap he had been submerged in. His mother had moved slightly and it had disturbed the sleeping pup. Silently the pup let out a yawn. His tail quivered as he crawled from his mother's side and burried himslef in the fur. To the small pup the fur smelled oddly, it wasn't of his mother but he knew so little of his father. Soon bored by the soft fur the small tannish pup crawled further from his mother's side and scrabbled about the dirt. Something in his mind clicked and Skep crawled back to the side of his sister Chilaili. At this point in time he didn't know that he would become the protector of his barely elder sister. His younger sister he would also protect, but not so ferverntly as Chilaili. He also could not tell now that Ayasha would become the jealous one of, she would grow angered by Skep's attention to Chilaili. It would be something that would cause an arguement later in the pup's life. But for now he was content by sliding in between his sister's and resuming his sleep, but he didn't sleep deeply. He was aware of his mother's movements. But so long as she stayed silent the pup could rest peacefully
Ayasha curled calmly by her mother, her feeling of protectiveness stayed with her. She could feel her brother stir everyonce in a while, he left both her and her elder sister but the sleeing Ayasha barely stirred. The cold air that came in with the absence of her brother caused the tiny black fae to cuddle closer to her mother. She couldn't see or hear aything, but the scent of each varg within the den came clearly. There was one scent that seemed odd and unrelared to her mother's scent. The tiny pup knew not of her father nor of his current being. She seemed to wake suddenlym her little maw opened and she let out a squeak, something was disturbing her, she tilted her head to where her mother lay and let out a disgruntled squeak. As if the slightest movement had been something terrible. All ready Ayasha felt seperated from her siblings, though it couldn't be helped much, she only knew that they seemed far away. Perhaps because little Ayasha was closer to her mother's hindquaters and the others were farther down. Resting her heavy head back onto her paws the black pelted pup slipped away into a deeper sleep. A new world that resided in her mind.

A pleading wail echoed throughout the cave as Uskiya stood and left her cubs; Chilaili whimpered and stirred, raising her head blindly and flailing about, searching for the warmth within her darkness. The silvery-tan she-cub, helpless and innocent as she crawled forward, extended her neck, her small jaws snapping shut on air as she searched vainly for her mother's belly. The rough ground suddenly turned smooth, but a tremor swept through her and she curled at each end, her delicate nostrils flaring as she inhaled the scent; it emant nothing to her besides that iot was not of her dam. But it kept her warm, her safehaven while she was unable to view anything at all- but, in just a few simple weeks, she would have her sight in one stunning cerulean eye, would have her faint hearing in each limp ear- and she would grow so independent, focusing on lerning about the wondrous world around her, abotut he stars that glittered so faintly above, that would ensnare her attention- would have her Aunt Lydair, still unknown to young Chilaili, offer the smallest pink-tinged star to be hers, her gaurdian during the rough time- it would ebcome brighter and brighter, like Chilaili herself, until it would stand out and even the silver cub could se it easily, without having the pressure push on her orb. She would have a strong father and brother to look after her, although she would grow annoyed by the latter, for he would always be lookign after her- she would have a gentle mother to help he along, and good friends to aid her. Chilaili would meet the warriors and scotus, and the white adolescent Trile, whom she would tag after on every open oocasion, entranced by his ability to hunt, and wish fervently to, one grand day, eb able to stalk after her own herla- but this was still unknown to Chilaili, still a slave to a darkened world.
She felt a questing muzzle press against her and gnetly nudged her from the way; she squeaked and fell to her side, her slow, lagging movements brought on by her brother Skep, who had positioned himself between herself and Ayasha. Accidently, she tossd a paw over his shoulders and turned towards him, curling into a circle and presing against him, her small head upon his slickly furred back.

Returning his attention back over to Cal the amber Dragga of Ge-Rad continued with his ministrations to his friends wounds, sweeping his tongue across the brown wolf’s torn body and attempting to rid as much of the blood from his ragged pelt as he possibly could. Lydair had taken off to gather as many herbs that would aid Cal in his recovery and ease his pain as she possibly could as her Dragga had ordered her too, leaving Draeg to continue tending to Cal alone until either she returned or someone else heeded his call. Cal’s breathing was shallow but despite this he began shouting out a series of questions which Draeg deduced were probably meant for Lydair, the amber varg watched as the wounded emissary seemed to choke with each word yet at the same time his eyes flickered with the same spark of life that they had held since the first day they had met by the riverside. The amber wolf gave a startled yip as Cal suddenly began steadily rising to his feet only to topple back down to the ground a moment later with pain yelp, he gave out a low whine as he realized that moving the brown furred dragga all the way back to his den was going to be a great deal more difficult than he had anticipated. “Cal, I really don’t know how Uskiya’s doing but I’m sure she and the pups are fine. I need you to calm down though until I figure out a way to get you over to the den.” He growled firmly, trying to steady his friend so that he wouldn’t injure himself further. He then spoke in a softer, gentler tone. “But I promise you’ll get the chance to see your pups even if I have to carry you to Uskiya myself.”
There was a rustling in the bushes and Draeg turned to see the familiar form of Yelae emerging form the dying thicket, the green-eyed she-wolf was panting heavily and it was clear to the amber varg that she had heard his summon and wasted no time in heeding his call for which Draeg was greatly pleased. Yelae seemed utterly shocked by the sight that lay before her and she began spewing forth questions like Cal had only moments before, knowing that she was probably in a state of shock at having seen a fellow packmate so close to death within their own packs boundaries the amber varg quickly gave her a reassuring nuzzle before turning his attention back over to Cal. “I really don’t know what happened to him, Yelae, except that he was probably attacked, all I know right now is that he’s hurt and we need to get him over to Uskiya as soon as possible.” He explained as he padded over to a nearby tree, picking about the fallen debris at the base of the trunk until he found what he was looking for. “And as to your question, no, Uskiya doesn’t know about any of this. Now I need you to help me pull Cal back to the den.” At the base of trunk lay a large, thick branch similar to the one Mayan had used to tow Kars back to the human village those many moons ago, heaving a heavy sigh the amber male bent down and took the sturdy limb in his jowls and dragged over to Cal and deposited it beside the hefty looking varg. His ears perked as Cal’s voice reached his ears, the emissary’s tone barely above a whisper as he spoke. “Hush Cal, you need to save your strength. What happened doesn’t matter, what does is that you’re here now and that you’ll live.” He growled kindly as he motioned his friend atop the thick limb. However he stiffened as Cal’s warning reached his ears, echoing throughout his mind. An enraged snarl erupted from Draeg’s muzzle as he suddenly realized the reason behind Cal’s sudden disappearance and current state of health, turning his head the mighty Dragga of Ge-Rad stared out in the direction in which he knew the Sarnes Pack lay growling lowly to himself. He would have to make sure Cwen was with him when he finally decided to get the whole story from Cal but there was one thing the amber varg did know and that was that this act of aggression would not be ignored. A war was coming, Draeg could sense it, he had been hoping to avoid such conflict during his reign as Dragga but with this latest attack on his packmates it seemed that the amber varg had no choice but to finish what he had started with Sarnes.
Lydair returned, her muzzle filled to the brim with an assortment of herbs and salves which she immediately began applying to Cal’s injured form. Throwing her an approving nod Draeg motioned for both her and Yelae to grab a section of the fallen bramble and assist him in pulling Cal back to the den. Upon reaching their destination the amber varg deposited his wounded emissary at the mouth of the whelping den and before quickly padding over to very anxious Firefly, nuzzling her tenderly and burying his muzzle deep into the folds of her neck.
