lydair had opened her muzzle to speak to draeg, a quizzical look splaying across her features, but suddenly the Dragga was gone, racing after Trile. "Draeg, leave him alone!" The Healer called, laughing suddenly. Stumbling backwards, Lydair grinned and kept an ear turned towards the fleeing herla; she could barely hear Draeg's warnings and Trile's angry snarl. the cub needed to go on a hunt; he had the obvious making of Ge-Rad's top hunter, and she was proud of her 'Little Brother', as she affectionally called him. Shaking her head, the cobalt fae returned her gaze to uskiya when the femme suddenly looked down at her belly, a look of anxiety and anguish clouding her amber eyes. Stepping backwards, uskiya laid herself on the ground, and Lydair's eyes widened. the cubs. They were here. "Draeg!" she shouted, dashing forward. Looking down quickly, a worried expression had set on her maw and she frowned, reviewin her dam's words on birthing. "Uskiya, can you get inside your den? Remember, you have nesting- Cal will be here soon, I promise...I'll gaurd your den for now, but your cubs are coming, and you need to get inside!" Lydair's eyes were darting wildly as she paced, growing frantic, although the cubs wren't hers, she wasn't birthing them, lydsair knew the dangers uskiya could be in, as well as her unborn cubs.

Uskiya had tuned out most of all the sound, the break of pain had been gentle but she could feel another one coming. Her auds turned to Lydair as she called for Draeg, but it was unlikely that he would hear her. As Lydair spoke to Uskiya she couldn't quite understand everything, but she knew that she needed to get into her den. Though food had been somewhat scarce for the gray fae, she was worried that she wouldn't have enough strength. She looked up and struggled to her feet, belly aching again. She gave a groan and nodded her head. "I think I can." she said and walked forward, leaning on the den walls. She managed to crawl in and seclude herself deep within the dark protective walls. The fur Draeg had supplied was piled in one corner, she nudged it around and spread it so she could make a nest. Though she pained she couldn't stay calm, she struggled up to the mouth of the den and poked her muzzle out. She let out a whine in Lydair's direction. "Where's Cal?" She whined, wishing her mate was here. "Lydair...what if something goes wrong?" Uskiya rolled to her sie in the den and clawed at the wall, pain and worry keeping her eyes darting. The den was warm and the deeper par of it was welcoming, but the fae seemed preoccupied with the slightest noise. Her tail flicked and another contraction came, she slid downward into her den and circled round, pawing at the fur and and letting out groans.

Lydair's maternal side, or perhaps her sisterly side, began showing. "Easy, Uskiya. He'll be here soon." She murmured, forcing herself to bellieve it. Uskiya's muzzle peeked from the dark cave entrance. "I'll be right here, Uskiya. I'm your healer, you friend. I won't let anything happen to you. I just need you to calm down; when your time comes, keep still, alright, down jump up and walk around, or something really might go wrong." Lydair promised, seating herself in front of the cave. She could hear the echoes of Uskiya's pained maons, and her heart panged for the gray fae. "Stay calm, I'm right here.." her voice faded into the cave, but she dared not turn around for fear of uskiya clawing her muzzle. "We're here-Draeg's here, Firefly's here- so many other wolves have done this, uskiya, without problems. Trust me.." The cobalt healer's growl had grown calmer, softer. The brisk stratching of the birthing fae's claws helped Lydair ease her mind; if anything did go wrong she didn't know what she would do- it would mean leaving Uskiya for herbs, anything she might need...

((oh dear tor! soo far behind! I'm so sorry for keeping this up!))
Firefly smiled as she padded and and her cyan eyes then wandered over to Uskiya and she chuckled, "No need to worry to much m'dear." she said and thought for a reply to her question. "Well I was really scared at first and really nervous, just like you. But I had soo many preparations and well each day went by quite fast actually. I eat, sleep maybe roam around a bit, and then fix up the den and then one day they were born." Firefly said with a small laugh. "Don't worry Uskiya, everything will be wonderful and fine. I'm sure you'll do fine, and besides, we have a Healer and I've given birth so I'll be there and don't forget our drappa, cwen as well." Firefly said, although she said cwen's name more quieter then the others. "So we're all here for you" she said wit ha smile but for the other question Firefly paused in wonder. Where in tor was Cal? She looked up and shook her head, disappointed that she didn't have any other reply. "No Uskiya, I'm sorry but I haven't seen him. But I'm sure he is here in Ge rad." Firefly then smiled wide, "He's probably just nervous about the pups.He might be by himself you know, time to think and all that. I'm sure he's just as nervous as you. But." she said and looked over to Draeg. "I could bring Raikan and Zen over and we can go out and search for him. He can't be too far off." Firefly said, "And besides, after you've puppy sat my pups, you're just about ready for anything" Firefly said with a light laugh.
Firefly then wondered and she looked up to the skies. True, the leaves were littering the ground and the trees were bare to the bone. Firefly noticed that it was getting colder and soon snow would fall. Her own den back in Deor was littered with her own fur but here in gerad it had as much fur as she could spare and the rest had been dried leaves and all sorts of other plants, though it provided warmth and comfort. Firefly watched her mate rub his side against the den, and thought about contributing her own tan fur as-well. But Firefly stopped and let out a whine. She had used most of her fur for her own pups. but she promised as soon as she grew more she would add to Uskiya's bed lining.
But before anything more could be said the thundering of oncoming hooves resounded and Firefly perked up, her cyan gaze looking about before barking and witnessing a large herla crashing through the clearing. Fly jumped back in surprised and watched as the herla led the chase past the brambles followed by a youth. Firefly cocked her head and looked to Draeg, "One of Cwen's I s'pose?" she said to no one in particular as she watched her amber mate chase after his son. Firefly heard Draeg bark and order his son to heed, and she too remembered when she had told her adopted son Goldmoon that he was not yet old enough to hunt.
But a bark had resounded and firefly was immediately snapped back into reality and turned over to Uskiya. She knew that look all to well, and she knew the feeling as well. She padded forward and nuzzled her muzzle softly, "Yes Lydair is right, leave the Cal-hunt to us" she said and nudged her shoulder.
Firefly nodded in response to Lydair, "Yes she's right, we'll be here and there won't be anything wrong. Just be careful not too make sudden movements. Everything will be fine" Firefly said before turning to Lydair, Do we need to get your herbs?"

Uskiya thought of Firefly's words and how she had birthed pups and they brought comfort. Perhaps she was right and Cal was merely thinking by himself, but now he was needed. If he missed the birting of his own pups, or if something went wrong and he didn't know? She shook her head and let out a whine, another contraction came and Uskiya clawed the ground. She partially wished her mother could tell her what to do, but her mother was of no help. She heard Firefly talk to Lydair and mention herbs, but things began to lose importance as Uskiya surrounded herself with the warmth of the den, she knew that her time would come quickly and that nothing could stop it. She whined again but her eyes closed and she tried to relax, the contractions coming more often, though they were still somewhat short. Her auds flickered and she could hear her claws clicking the dirt. Her orbs opened and she looked at the fur that was now lining the den. She as grateful for it but then her thoughts shifted o the quietness, she fell silent for a moment. The weather was getting colder and she knew that times would get harder. She came back to the present and looked to the entrance of the den, she could see the light of the outside. It let her focus on something for the time being, but as a pang of pain came again she broke her gaze and she looked back to her belly, she could feel the movement inside and her heart quickened. She stood quietly and shifted around so now her haunches were facng the entrance and her face stared into the darkness. There was still room for her to go farther down but at this moment she felt merely lke resting. Later she would probably take refuge further down, when the contractions were longer and the time was closer.

Draeg could hear Lydair calling after him, telling him to leave Trile be and allow him to hunt in peace, however the amber Dragga merely ignored her and tore after his son. He could see that Trile was completely caught up in his excitement, the white pups tongue lolled out from his salvering jaws and his eyes burned feverishly with a feral obsession to catch his prey and kill it. It suddenly occurred to Draeg that this was as happy as he had ever seen his son and the amber varg couldn’t help but marvel at the pups grace and speed, flashes of the first he had ever partaken in along with the feeling of excitement and exhilaration he had felt flooding his mind. Was he really going to deny his son the privilege of making his first kill without any help from his pack? Rather reluctantly Draeg decided that he would allow Trile to continue with his hunt if only to see if he truly was being over protective of his family and whether his son was truly capable of hunting alongside the rest of the pack at such an early age, however that didn’t mean Draeg would allow the event to go unsupervised or that the ivory furred pup was in any less trouble for nearly getting his father and the others trampled. Trile greeted his presence with a feral snarl, his ivory fangs gleaming in the light of the sun, and despite his best efforts Draeg couldn’t help but return gesture, knowing that now he would have to scold his son for disobeying his wishes earlier despite the fact that he was allowing him to continue. ‘If he catches it then all will be forgiven, and if not I...well I sure as hell think of something to do! Either way I’m still yelling at him!’ He promised himself. His jaw dropped in surprise as Trile’s speed suddenly increased and he shot off ahead of his father, he hadn’t known Trile could go that fast. After a moment an amused smile formed on the amber Dragga’s muzzle and he felt an overwhelming feeling of pride rush over him as he continued his pursuit of his son, giving out a yip of encouragement as he trailed right behind the ivory varg.

Lydair could hear Uskiya anxiously scrabbling around, and Lydair's voice, though quiet, was enhanced by the hollow den. "Uskiya...perhaps you should venture further back? You may not want us in for a while yet, and if the day turns cold, and you're so near the front...it could...wel...the cubs could become ill."Now shaking her cobalt head in Firerfly's direction, Lydair's words were nervous and protective. "I don't want to leave her so soon at her birth. If-" she dropped her voice to hiss that only Firefly could hear; startled suddenly at the likeness of the tan fae's bright gaze and her anatomy, the healer forced herself to continue; she was simply pleased that Ge-Rad contained another hybrid. "If Cal can't get his furred self here to be with her, I couldn't possibly leave for herbs. There's not mcuh they can do now anyway...I nglected my job earlier,' she admitted sorrwofully, "But once the cubs come I'll leave.' Looking up, she glanced around for her amber dragga with a soft scowl; her Little Brother was on his first true hunt but Lydair would lvoe it if both males were here, along with Cal, protecting Uskiya.
"When your contractions come more often, you must go back much farther, otherwise there'd be no point at all in even havign the den, since it won't do much, except make your voice holler louder than usual." It was a nervous tease; the cobalt fea was down to pacing, ehr tail arched dramtically over her back in a delicate curve; her agile paws were swiftly carrying her back and forth among the space before the den. I swear on Sita, if that male gets here after the cubs do, I'll have some more fur to line her nest with. Lydair growled mentally through gritted jowls. Nervous or not, tis his job to be here in his mate's time of need- and she needs him now more than ever!

Firefly found herself padding forward and cocking her head, her cyan eyes trying o break the darkness that lined the outer entrance of the den. "Uskiya's right, you should move farther down" Firefly spoke, but she guessed that the mother must have been quite tired with the two wolf dogs telling her what she should do.
Fly then turned to Uskiya and nodded, "Yah i know. But Lydair, where could he be!" Firefly growled, her voice sandy and hushed that only the cobalt furred Fae could hear.
Firefly perked up now and looked about. The footsteps of the herla were no longer audible and Draeg had just vanished from sight and sound. Firefly found herself being agitated. She never knew that it was so hard to have everyone present one point. She then began rocking herself back and forth. Should she go look for Draeg? Was his son alright? But Firefly knew that this was a father-son thing and she chose to ignore it. Besides tending to Uskiya was the most important thing at the moment.
Firefly looked to Lydair and nudged her softly, "what are we going to do about Cal?" Firefly asked under her breath. "Shall I go look for him?"

Uskiya could hear Lydair's voice outside and she knew that the fae was right. It would be wise to go further down, especially with the cold weather. A moment of stillness in her belly and the gray fae crawled further into the den, she reached the farthest part and lied down. HEr eyes closed tightly as anoter contraction hit, it was longer and Uskiya could feel the movement inside her belly. She let out a whine and wished deeply tha tCal was here, but now it was too late. The pups were coming and she couldn't stop it, Tor was ready for the pups to be born and nothing could stop the moon goddess. The fae's orbs opened and her auds strained. A nother contraction came and the birth sack broke, Uskiya knew that it was now, this moment had come and her mate was nowhere to be seen, but Uskiya knew that he would return, she knew that he was out there. He wouldn't mis the birth of his pups for something small.
She let out a whine as she felt a pup being moved forward, her claws scraped the dirt and She strained, hanches tightening. Her head lifted and she could see the front paws of a pup, she laid her head back down and pushed. The head of the pup emerged and slowly the rest of it slid out. Uskiya relaxed for a moment and then she lifted her head up and began licking the pup, matenal instincts kcking in. But something was wrong, the pup wasn't responding, it felt cold and Uskiya couldn't wake it. Fear flooded the fae's body and she whined desperately, fearing the worst. She continued to nudge it, letting out soft whines, but then her fear was broken by another contraction, this was greater and Uskiya rested her head momentarily. She lifted her head and looked, lifting her tail out of the way she saw another pair of paws and then felt a push, a nose could be seen. She let out a whine and then the rest of the pup emerged. Wet and shiny, it was a fae, small and fragile. Uskiya began licking it, hoping that it would respond unlke the first one. The pup let out a small murmur and Uskiya cleaned the rest of it, nudging it forward to suckle. She looked back to the first pup, but her attention went back to the fae, her fur tannish in coloring. Another contraction pulled the gray fae's attention and another pup began to emerge, this one brownish in coloring and the rest of it's body emerged. Uskiya licked it rapidly, stimulating the pup, this one was male and like his sister let out a murmur. Uskiya nudged it over near it's sister to suckle. Both pups crawled over and his witin their mother's fur. Now exhausted Uskiya waited silently until a nother contraction caused her to lift her tail higher and brush the dirt along the wall. A fourth pup's muzzle emerged, it's clawed feet lying ahead of it. Uskia felt herself push and the pup moved only slightly. Lieing her head back down the fae pushed again. The pup seemed stubborn but shortly it slid out and was submerged in licks. This one was also a fae, darker than it's siblngs in pelt color. Uskiya licked it rappidly and shortly te pup moved, letting it's maw open and crawled forward. Uskiya nudged it to where it's siblngs were, the three pups suckled and Uskiya rested her head. She knew sadly that the first pup was a still born, there was nothing she could do. But her tail beat rappidly as joy filled her, despite the sadness of losing a pup. The three remaining meant everything to her. She continued licking them, her body heat keeping them warm dsespite the lack of fur, despite her exhaustion the gray fa ecould not relax, her pups needed her and her motherly instinct kept her from lieing her head down.

It was the end of autumn, and the temperature was dropping drastically. All the leaves have abandoned their trees and lay scattered on the ground. Lera were now hard to come by since some of them have either migrated or going to hibernate during the long winter. This was a hard time for the varg as the days are getting shorter, but many shall brave the winter to see the flowers blossom and the vast land grow green again. The sun now shone bleekly through the trees. The lands of Ge-rad were still and silent, only the sound of the breeze dancing through the trees could be heard.
Somewhere in the sea of trees, a brown paw twitched ever so slightly. The sun revealed a face of a handsome brown he-varg, who has his eyes closed. The crimson that was staining the grass was spreading inch by inch. Large gashs tore through his pelt and his fur was oddly ruffled. The paw twitched again, this time more violent as Cal tried to stand up on all fours but as unsuccesful. A low groan escaped his maw as he tried to somehow signal for help. To tell someone that he was here, and that he had not disappeared from pack lands. Also, to warn Draeg his Dragga the danger that lies ahead. What was going to happen...Thinking back of how this happened to him...
Cal was moving swiftly through the trees, joy filling his head on how he was going to be a father. Uskiya was pregnant. Also, it was going to be the first litter ever since the new alphas of this pack. A celebration was needed for this event, but before all that Cal decided that he was going to pay a visit to an old friend. That varg was Mayan. It had been a long time since he paid a visit to the old seer. The last time he was young, and rather foolish but he sought advice from her about his relationship with Uskiya. He would never forget how much she helped him that time. Cal was sure that Mayan would be excited that the news Uskiya is going to have puppies. Though a thought of guilt appeared on his head if he decide to wander off while Uskiya was in this condition. But afterwards, he decide the most it was going to be a few suns and his mate did have the pack's help and Lydair like Draeg said. So, the next day he decided to travel to the Vale and tell her about the good news, and she can join the festivities. This is where it all gone wrong. Before he left for his journey, he wanted to check on his mate one last time. Noticed that she was still sleeping in the den he let out a broad smile. Giving her an affectioniate kiss on her muzzle, he turned away and only happy thoughts lingered on his mind. However, as he left the den he noticed something was in the trees. Perhaps it was Lydair, or other Ge-rad members? No, why would they have to stay hidden? Curiousity getting the better of him he decide to take a look. The thing scurried away and Cal deciding for the best decided to follow it. Using his skills to stay hidden and silent as he followed this stranger. His mind was telling him to let it go, but instincts always toke the better of him. After a short while however, a familiar scent entered his nostrils. Balkar. Ducking his head down a bit the light revealed the face. The face that was the first of the Putnar, it was Serg. Listening intently he only had a glimpse of what was going on. No sooner had a rush of teeth and claws to greet him...
Soon waking up to find himself onto unknown territory but it didn't take him to realised that it reeked with the scent of Balkar. Afterwards, the many interrogations, the pain, the torture. Screams filled his head for many moons and how he got away....
Now back to the present, Cal was here back in Ge-rad luckily in one piece. But, the brown he-varg did not know that his beautiful mate had just birthed his litter of three. He so longed to see her, to once again feel her soft fur make contact with his. Another grown barely audible as his eyes began to open very slowly. HIs vision swimmed with multi-colours and nothing in focus. After a few seconds however, he could finally see his surroundings. He just noticed that he was almost swimming in his own blood. Trying again to move but only felt the intense pain which caused him to yell loudly. Craning his head slowly to the sky, a small grin appeared on his face. Then he began to laugh. A laugh that showed no humour, a laugh that almost reached insanity. Laughing at how his life at been towards this point. Then Cal's possibly last words, he whispered to the sky. "Well done Tor and Fenris, well done indeed...I see that you will have a new friend joining you up there. I am not afraid of death, no...However, I do find it sad that I won't be able to see my unborn pups, and my mate for the last time...as for my pack, I wish them the best of luck without me. Danger lies ahead for them, but united they will stand to overcome those obstacles. To my friends good-bye, I'll miss you Uskiya...." Then still lying there he waited until the doors of heaven were open to him.
(Ah, sorry. Flashback is a bit choppy) btw, I am not dead

(((Draeg, if you had to find him, tell me and I'll modify this. )))
"No, stay here..." Lydair growled slowly, letting one ear fall to the whelping den. She could hear the gray fae straining, and gentle, loving whines, and Lydair threw her head back in an excited howl, her voice uncoiling into a howl, strong and triumphant through all of Transylvania; her thick tail whipped the air fiercely. "Uskiya!" she called joyfully into the den. "You did it! Your a mother now!" Pacing back and forth, the cobalt Healer poked her slender, short maw into the opening of the den. the light was dull, and faded, but she could see three wriggling bodies beside the femme. Jumping around, the hybrid's eyes were bright and sparkling; her voice was quick and fast. "Firefly- oh, Fly, she had three of them! " Her voice grew louder, into a calling bark; "Draeg! Trile! Draeg!" Barely able to contain her excitement, the femme enarly rushed into the den herself; white paws crossed and she tripped. Darting back up, Lydair looked around with indignation and sneezed before bounding ina circle, emitting yips and barks of glee for her closet friend. "Uskiya- can I come in? Or should I wait? Oh, Uskiya, wait till Cal sees them! What are they; faemmes or mannes? What are you going to name them?"
A bellowing yell, or what at one time had been, drifted faintly through the air. The femme darted forward slinking low, her entire body rigid and nearly paining herself as she tensed, every muscle bunching tightly, as if her entire form was a coiling string, wound as thick as it could go. Suddenly, cobalt hackles pricked and worry clouded her gaze. She could feel the very smell she had caught streaming down her throat; the acrid, tang, bittersweet crimson fluid, likely of a herla; possibly a land-lera. But this- this was wrong. The blood-scent, death-scent, which wafted through the air, was not from the fawn Trile had been chasing only moments ago. It was that of a Varg. Turning to face Firefly, and stunned with fear and an unwanted knowledge, Lydair barely managed to stumble out her words. ”Stay with Uskiya. Please. Don’t leave her.” Turning back, the coiling femme sprang into a reckless sprint, dodging each opposing tree swiftly; her paws were of use to her now as they carried her over the forest. Sleek and stealthy, the she-Varg, the hybrid Healer, darted over Ge-Rad, the smug scent of blood laced now with the brief scents of Draeg and Trile, and the fear-scent of the deer. But the blood clogged her senses; dread filled her mind and on she ran.
Slowing to a panting, heaving walk, Lydair gulped, breathless, and lowered her nose, begging Tor for another scent, wishing it wasn’t the one she found. Moaning, she dragged herself into a bounding canter and moved onwards, her cyan eyes scanning the underbrush.
There.
Beneath the pricking corners of the bushes, lay a body. Ragged and torn, it lay bleeding, pouring blood, and the brown, shaggy coat absorbed the crimson that now stained the body. Amber orbs were slowly closing, and Lydair snarled in contempt for whatever creature had done this. Leaping to the he-Varg’s side, Lydair blinked back tears. ”Oh Cal- wake up! Uskiya needs you, Cal! Don’t you leave her!” Scrambling to her paws, Lydair’s voice was a screeching howl, full of fear. ”Draeg!” Turning back now, Lydair licked her friend’s muzzle. ”You’ll be alright…you’ll be alright. Cal…Uskiya had your cubs…just minutes ago…three of them. Stay with us.” Bounding to her feet again, Lydair gave one last look to the emissary before spiraling into a rushed run after her Dragga. ”Draeg!”

Trile heard Draeg’s deafening snarl and his heart leapt with fear and exhilaration. He went faster, driven on by the Herla and his father’s pursuit. He knew what his punishment would be, and he couldn’t let the Lera get away from him, not when he was so close to proving himself a mighty hunter. The trees were thinning quickly, the sunlight shining down to the forest floor in large, golden patches. Trile was to full of instinct and wild hunger to be really surprised at the fact that he had veered of south west and was very near the end of Ge-Rad territory and all the trees that lay behind. For a moment he seemed to be able to string his thoughts together, and he saw the horrible, glittering jaws of Serg, a pack of black wolves closing in on him, and no mother or father to protect him. He knew he wasn’t even supposed to go very from the meeting place in case the First had finally come for his revenge. Hesitation awoke in his amber eyes, and he slowed a bit until he was lolloping slowly, following the fawns trail. If Trile left the pack lands, he would be in danger. The cub glanced back nervously, about to turn around when he realized Draeg was nowhere insight. He came to a dead stop, and the forest seemed to close around him. Uncertainly he waited for his father’s fury, and the moments went by slowly. No one came, he was alone. The amber Dragga wasn’t going to stop him, he could do whatever he wanted. Unbelievingly he pricked his ears, his mouth open with shocked delight. He took a small step forward and than stopped: he could do whatever he wanted. Without another thought he began to run again, grinning with new determination. He would track down the young deer while everything was fresh, and than he would return. No Balkar knew who he was; he could easily catch the Herla in the course of a few days, devour it, and bring back what he could for Lydair, maybe even the pregnant wolf Uskiya. Trile’s liberation burst from his chest, and he threw his muzzle in the air, unable to contain it. A howl exploded from his lips into the forest, and than he was gone, heading away from his home.

“I can’t believe this.” Draeg grumbled, clearly annoyed. “How could I lose him? That little rips faster than I thought.” The amber Dragga continued muttering beneath his breath as he slowly made his way through the dense undergrowth and back toward Uskiya’s den where he knew that the others were waiting for him, only moments before he had been right at his son’s heals dogging him as he made an attempt on his first solo hunt. Draeg had been fairly confident that he could maintain a steady pace alongside the white furred pup but it seemed that he had been proven wrong, somewhere along the line Trile had found an extra burst of speed and easily outdistanced his father until Draeg had lost sight of him altogether. Whereas Draeg knew that he should be pleased by this strange turn of events he couldn’t help but feel slightly annoyed that he would not be able to witness Trile’s first kill like he had been intending to, knowing that he would never be able to catch up to the snow furred varg now that he had a good head start Draeg had decided to return to Uskiya’s den and see how the others were doing.
He hadn’t gone far when he suddenly stopped, perking his ears and craning his head slightly to the side the amber varg stood silently for a moment listening to his surroundings. ‘Odd…’ he thought. ‘I could’ve swore I just heard someone calling me.’ He remained that way for a moment longer however when he heard nothing he resumed his trek, though his ears still swiveled about from time to time just incase he had made a mistake. Not long after his ear twitched as it picked up the faint vibration of some calling out in the distance, turning his head in the direction of the seemingly helpless howl the amber varg looked out into the horizon for a moment before tearing through the brush. His feet pounding against the ground Draeg shot through the forest like a bullet, his amber fur flying about in the wind as he sent up a collection of dead leaves, broken twigs, and a whole variety of other debris scattering about behind him forming a small dust cloud. Out in the distance he could smell the familiar scent of Lydair flooding his nostrils along with two other distinguishing odors, his eyes widened in shock upon identifying the familiar smells and he suddenly found himself moving at full speed through the array of fallen logs and rocks. “Oh Garm, let me be wrong.” He panted.
When Draeg finally arrived at the scene the amber Dragga quickly spotted Lydair’s lean frame crouching over the battered and torn form of another varg lying still amidst the grass, an assortment of unsightly gashes marred his once handsome brown pelt and his amber eyes were clouded over with pain as he lay surrounded by a pool of his own blood. It was Cal. Darting over to his friend Draeg came skidding to a stop just beside the pair, quickly looking his emissary over the amber male quickly set about cleaning out the varg’s wounds. “Stay with us, Cal. Stay with us.” He growled. “You don’t want to die now, you got too much going on for you right now. Remember Uskiya? Your pups, that’s right you’re going to be a father aren’t you? Come damnit, stay awake!” Tearing his gaze from the brown wolf Draeg quickly turned his gaze over to Lydair and proceed to bark out several orders. “LYDAIR! Gather some herbs, anything that will staunch the bleeding and keep him from losing anymore blood. Also bring something to dull the pain but make sure that it’s bitter, that ought to keep him spitting and gagging for a while. As soon as you’re done with that I need you to help me get him back to the den, if Cal really is meant to die then it will be by Uskiya’s side. Don’t forget to bring water! Now GO!” Taking in a deep breath and throwing his head back the amber varg let out a booming howl that could be heard resounding all throughout Ge-Rad, alerting his pack of their current situation and calling for any able bodied varg to come help in offering their assistance.

After grooming the pups ferouciously Uskiya managed to rest her head, Lydair let out a hol from above, the gray fae smiled knowing her friend was excited. But the fae was still exhausted and barely managed to take in everything Lydair said. "Yes I am a mother aren't I." she let out an affectionate whine to the pups and then listened o Lydair again. "I'm all right." she said from her sacntuary, though her auds perked up as she thought she heard a noise, but her energy was gone and she coudln't manage to crawl to the opening, she heard the shufflng of paws and the faint words of Lydair, though she couldn't tell what they were, perhaps Lydair was going to find the others. It wasn't long until a howl resounded out through Ge-rad lands, within the den Uskiya was resting and her auds twitched, picking up the faint sound. She knew not what it was about and the faint murmurs of her pups kept her busy. Uskiya did not know that the call had been that of help, the den walls keeping mos tnoises from entering. At the shuffling of the pups beside her furred belly Uskiya looked to each of them. "Hush now, you're fine." though she knew they could not hear she still spoke, and gave them little nudges. But soon the wriggling balls of fluff dozed by their mother.
the fae took this time to stretch herself within the den's protective walls and rest, her eyes closed and soon she had drifted off into a light sleep. though she still remained completely aware of everything. Perhaps Cal was coming home and the other's had seen him, perhaps they were accopanying him back to the den. Here he would cautiously put his nose through and see what joy was waiting for him. The fae could only hope, but her thoughts brought a smile to her face and she longed to see her mate. Maybe Tor, or Fenris, which ever was in the sky now would be guiding him here to behold his young ones. An orb flickered open and rested upon the den entrance, where was everybody? She knew that draeg hadgone after Trile and that Lydar had gone, but she did not know why. Firefly was hopefully still out there, gaurding the area. But these thoughts did little to keep the new mother awake, soon she fell back into her light rest and kept the pups within her legs, bundled all together.

"Whatever is wrong?" Yelae inquires, responding quickly to her Alpha's call, appearing quite suddenly as soon as the howl ended. It just so happened she was stalking a small mouse that would have been the perfect snack, and was close by when the call had ended. The white wolf with the bright orange chest became worried as soon as the blood she had smelt was in fact, a Varg's blood. Who could it be? she pondered, coming closer to the area. As soon as she sees what had happened, she recoils a step back, fear shining in her blue-green eyes.
"Cal, whatever happened to him? Where is Uskiya?" she had learned that Cal's beloved mate was pregnant, but did not learn the fact that she had given birth already, and winter was about to start with its unforgiving cold and snows. "How...how?" she was clearly in utter shock as she looked down.
