Things seemed to have flown by Cwen’s vision throughout the past moon. It seemed like only last sun she’d been a carefree mother with a mate, four cubs spending her days laying round their den site within the denser parts of wood, along with their friends and distant relatives. But now, now she was the Drappa of her very own pack and was made responsible for a larger number of vargs than just herself and family. Without the position of Drappa, Cwen knew she never would have joined another pack so long as she lived…especially after her experience within Sarnes. Pack life just didn’t seem to be for her – too strict and full of rules she had to abide by. But with the heading of Drappa and pack leader, she had the choice to make her own rules and abide by no other’s laws. Padding softly through her new, marked out lands, Cwen sighed pleasantly to herself and peered up at the glowing canopy. Fenris was nearly at his mid point in the sky’s abyss, however it had not even reached afternoon yet. The day’s lengths were growing shorter and already Cwen felt the chill of a savage winter coming on. Golden, red and brown leaves broke from their fragile grip within the branches and fell silently through the thinning air. Landing here and there all around the silvery Drappa she smiled in a satisfying fashion for autumn was her favourite season of the year. “Pity it only comes once in a year…” she spoke lightly to herself, throwing her head down and scenting a strange fungus on passing it. Looking up from where she passed the spot, Cwen kept walking until a small clearing came into view. The rain had fallen heavily recently with the changing weather and season, making the ground boggy and brim with settled waters. Taking a gentle step onto the shortened and grazed blades of grass, the silvery faemme scented the earth carefully and peered to her right where the distinct pile of lera droppings lay. A rabbit had been here not long ago – and its life had been saved if only for it’s accurate time to depart. However…if only another hadn’t gotten to it before the Drappa of Ge-Rad..

(((LOL, no problem there Cwen. I've got a bit of writer's block as well, I;m afraid...)))
The graceful she-Varg plodded softly through the forests of Ge-Rad, muzzle held with pride and tail arced over a small, thin back. The warm, amber rays of Fenris choked the breeze, but as the cyan-orbed fae darted through the shadows the sudden shade brought instant relief to her dark top-pelt. Her father, a handsome black husky, had fallen for her late dam and had given Lydair her odd but stunning coloring and her immense and stirring azure orbs. Her lithe and slender form quickened at a gentle lope, her ears bounced and her eyes sparkled with glee. Lydair had yet to meet her drappa, Cwen, and dragga, Draeg, and although she had met the drappa's hunter-cub Trile and the warrior Shako no other wolves had been introduced in her presence, which, she decided, was just as well. Lydair was sociable, but for her love of life and most varg she was exceptionally quiet, choosing to pass out words of wisdom and knowledge than to gossip and chatter about things with no meaning. Her cobalt oculars held wisdom, cunning, and knowledge beyond her age, and, as always, that odd, mysterious spark that never left, sometimes turning her cyan eyes to an anomalous blue-green. She heard the light voice of a fae and she wheeled quickly, nearly slipping the process and she darted forward, sliding to a stop in front of the silvery fae. Her scent was unmistakably Ge-Rad, and as her mind reeled she dipped her head in recognition of her drappa. Her short, thin maw opened and her cyan eyes flashed with kindness as she spoke to her Alphaess. "Hello, Cwen...I am Lydair, Ge-Rad's healer...I am pleased to make your acquaintance." She lowered her tail and dipped her muzzle deeply again, grinning to her drappa.

This was the new life Uskiya now had, after her acceptance into Ge-rad there was nothing to bring her down. The journey to this new life had been tough, but now things would be great. She had been nervous when she and Cal had gone to ask acceptance, it had taken her a day to arrive here and she had feared it had been for nothing, but it hadn't. It wasn't long ago that she and Cal had first arrived and then becom aa part of this pack. Uskiya padded quietly through the Ge-rad territory, she had a airy sense about her. Golden orbs hued most brilliantly and a smile on her ebony lips. She couldn't belive she had a pack now, though she still had to meet most everyone still. Her gray fur stood against the brillient colors of the leaves, the white strip on her muzzle whitened with each year. She and Cal had been wanting a pack, and USkiya could think of no pack better suiting them than Ge-rad, here in front of her was a new beginning, a pack that she could actually call a family. If her mother only knew the greatness Uskiya was seeing. HEr mother, never mind her, was dead and no longer would hold a grip on the fae's life, instead she would have a family that cared. Close by the fae heard a voice speak, it was light and new to the fae's auds, a pack member perhaps.. Shortly after the voice a nother noise emitted in the clearing up ahead. Uskiya trotted forward and slowly emerged into the clearing, two other vargs were there. Members of the pack Uskiya thought, obviously one of them was the Drappa, they way she stood was proud looking to Uskiya. As she came forward she spoke somewhat quietly, Uskiya was always shy when she met others. "Hello." the fae spoke dipping her head in greetings to both the vargs. She had heard two names spoken and soon asociated them with the two vargs. Her drappa's name was Cwen, and the healer was named Lydair, Uskiya had never known a healer before. She was curious as to all they knew.. She smiled "I am Uskiya."

Trough the bracken a shape moved, A shape of ruby and grey. The shape of a feme wolf dwelled. Her paws swept through the piles of orange leaves that cracked and crumbled under her weight. Kairi stopped and paws the earth. her eyes of silver blue flashed with anger. The scent of the new drappa filling her nares. Kai snarled, how dare they come into her father's territory and overtake him? Kairi snarled. The pack had begun to weaken without their drappa, her mother. Her father and her had been in some sort of argument, and each with a heavy and cracked heart.
Aurora did not know what to do and hoped in time that they would mend themselves. But her mother Talla had not been seen and her father and fled from Ge rad once Draeg and Cwen had taken over, towards the territory of her Grand-Dam, Tarkahs. and along with him he had brought his adopted sons Ulric and William. Shako had left but he had returned. Kairi did no want to go. She found her palce here. Though in truth curiosity ankered her down. She wanted to know who these new alphas were that had dared to take her parents pack away.
Kairi growled as she padded through the bracken. She hissed, her eyes watching the silver drappa with a menacing glare. Kai wondered where their dragga was but dismissed the thought. She watched the drappa, so content was she. Kai grinned. Wasn't she afraid that some other wolf might try to overtake her? Try to throw her off and become alpha themselves? Kairi grinned, anger still bubbling beneath her skin. She then watched two new members pad toward the Drappa. Kairi growled and pushed through and padded towards them tail and head high as her eyes flickered with a determined flame.

[glow=black,2,3] Stalking in the shadows lurked a white and grey male Varg. His usually striking silver marks on his underbelly and down were fading as his winter coat set in, giving him the complection of a white wolf. The silver around his rich gold eyes and muzzle was also fading, along with the silver that dripped down his neck. He wasn't exactly full grown, but in the time he had been in Ge- Rad, he had grown conciderably. He was indeed a bulky male, one fit for fighting. His fading gray paws treaded heavly on the forest floor, but his pads muffled the sound a bit.
He had come here to meet the new Dragga and Drappa, and he wondered more and more if he should be here at all. Guilt bubbled in his stomach, he felt like he had betrayed the only father he had. If only he could have prevented the Dragga from being chased out, from being kicked out of the pack he fought so hard to shape. Shakó had always been loyal to his Draggas, even to Talken. At the thought of the name, Shako let a low growl escape from the pit of his stomache, it wasn't untill recently that he relized his birth father never really cared about he being, but only his shape. He was such a fool then, such a fool.
But it was because of his loyalty that he must abide by the new Dragga and Drappa, that he must be loyal to them now. He was in Ge-Rad, he was truly honered to be in this pack, and now he must stay loyal to it. It was the only reason he could give himself credit for.
And so, he found himself padding through the Ge-Rad boundries, his paws crackling leaves on the earth below him. Sever scents hit his nose, two he knew: Lydair and Kai. Picking up his pace and moving more stealth-like, Shakó followed his nose untill seeing the form of a crimson wolf before him: Kai. Her tail and head was held high with determination, but Shakó did not follow her example. He hung his head low, his fading gray- tipped tail patially between his legs, and he followed the crimson Varg.
Once in ear shot of his Drappa, looking at his paws he spoke to her. "My name is Shakó," he said respectfully. [/glow]

((Thanks Trile! Yes please folks, only one post at a time after me now cause I have a funny feeling I won't be active at all until Sunday...unless i sneak some time on tomorrow...but that's doubtful >.< ))
Flicking her muzzle round in a swift movement, Cwen’s wide grey oculars caught the appearance of her pack Healer emerging from the brush, her tassel and head held low in a respective greeting stance. Nodding in a light greeting and approval Cwen grinned to Lydair and lifted her own head and tail higher, in a proud Drappa stance. Padding forward to greet her pack member, the silver faemme allowed her tail to sway with pleasure. “Well greetings Lydair. It is indeed a pleasure to finally meet the healer of my pack – now I know who will be treating me if some mad varg attacks me,” she chuckled lightly before throwing her muzzle once more to the right, hues narrowing and auds flexing forward as the sound of rustling within the brush and undergrowth caught her attention. Flicking her tail in thought, a light grin then spread across her pearly white muzzle as another friendly and respective varg emerged to greet her new Drappa. And in turn, Cwen dipped her muzzle to the pack mate and nodded kindly to Uskiya. “And it’s nice to meet you Uskiya,” she spoke with a lighthearted chuckle, sitting now comfortably onto her haunches. Each varg that had crossed her path so far had been gentle, kind and respective to her position as alpha female. Shaking her pelt and getting back up to her now fidgety limbs, Cwen cocked an aud and peered behind her when the sound of further rustling came to her attention. “Well it seems everyone’s out and about today,” she whispered quietly to herself, turning her whole body round now to face the on comer who bore the pelt of deep crimson and grey. Though this faemme acted far different to the others who’d arrived before her. This cocky youth approached with her tail and head held high as if she were the Drappa of Ge-Rad. Growling darkly Cwen took a step forward, a frown now furrowing her brow and dazzling grey hues now flashing with a hidden madness. But still the faemme continued to approach in a rebellious fashion, pushing past the others and making her way promptly to Cwen. Now the silver Drappa’s patience was beginning to run thin and her lips twitched as though ready to pull back into a savage and deadly snarl. “Watch how you step young one, or you could soon find yourself at the mercy of my jaws and under Lydair’s care,” she snapped suddenly, clacking her jaws together in a threatening manner. Her tone had altered from the gentle, carefree tenor and was now writhed with malice and cunning. Taking a quick glance to the new varg who peered out from just behind Kairi, Cwen nodded courtly to the far more respective male and drew her gaze back onto the red hued faemme – making sure not to break eye contact with her again for but a second. The runt had little idea of what she was facing..

(((Hey- I think I'll post, but if somebody else should post next- perhaps Kai, since Cwen's gonna kick her butt, lol, I'll promptly delete this- I'm just itching to post something, lol.)))
Lydair's ears twitched and she brought her head back up, though her thick tail had lowered so that its tip brsuhed the loam and autumn litter. Her laugh sounded lightly on the wind, soft and whispery, and her cyan oculars glistened with laughter; the orbs themselves nearly grinned. Lydair was relieved to know that her silver-and-white drappa had good sense of humor; her previous drappa had not- she had been the first to argue that Lydair and her dam and brothers be ostracized from the rest of the flourishing pack- but perhaps Lydair shoudl have been thankful, for it was this act that drove her mother in engage in teaching her azure-eyed daughter the healing arts. Lydair's muscles tensed as her small cranium turned to view Uskiya and she offered the gray fae a warm smile- this she-Varg seemed shy and quiet, much like herself, but Lydair hoped that beneath the shyness Uskiya was social and open-minded; Lydair had known several femmes who ahd turned their maws at her heritage, but Uskiya didn't seem the type. "Good day to you, Uskiya." Lydair barked cheerfully, shaking gently to rid her stomach of the leaves that had been along for the ride. Her thick throat-fur rustled, and Lydair opened her muzzle to speak again. She wa,s however, interrupted, so she sat back on small yet muscular haunches, letting a small grin grace her pearly jaws.
The scent that flooded her nostrils was one she was familair with, and she stood up, tassle waving in the air. "Shako!" she barked, pleased that there was some Varg here she had actually spoken to on a different occasion. She looked around; the times she had actually interacted with the burly white manne the plae hunter-dragga Trile had always come along, and she was slightly disappointed that she didn't see him. Lydair's lithe mitts crossed a she side-stepped to get a better look at the fae that was approaching her drappa so irrationally- her tail and muzzle were held proudly, and with dominance, and Lydair felt he eyes narrow. Who was this she-Varg to act as Cwen did? She knew the femme to be Draeg's mate, and therefore the rightful Alphaess, but this mix-colored femme held a sneer and hatred flared in her eyes. Lydair's lip curled back slowly and her muscles twitched as they tensed- a grolw was pitched from her throat- it may not have been her place, but she would show respect and submission to none but her Alphas- and this femme was far from it. She was a youth, though close to her adulthood, and as Lydair heard Cwen growl and throw a quick threat to the fae Lydair didn't doubt her drappa's words.,
At the mention of her name Lydair stood straighter, staring at the intruding she-Varg who approached Cwen with blatent disrespect. At an early age Lydair hd been taugth to repect your elders, and your alphas, and it was rare she came across any good-meaning Varg who ahd not been taught the same. Looking to Shako, and then to Uskiya, she wondered who the warrior and the gray fea would react.

Kairi watched Cwen as she padded forth. So this was the new drappa. Though Kai as she stopped, her face blank and emotionless. Her silver-blue eyes shone with anguish and masked her sadness as she turned her steel grey stare at the healer. She let out an irritated growl and shook out her fur, her tail falling only slightly. who was she to tell her to respect?
What should Kai respect the fae for? For taking away her parents home? Kai let out a low growl, but the instinct of the wolf won over the emotion of anger. Kairi's throat rumbled as she brought her eyes away from the drappa. The varg of her taught her to pay homage to her alpha, that as a subordinate she must stay below the alpha.
Kairi gave Cwen a side glance , her pupils contracting as she gave a defensive growl. No Kairi was not the intruder, these vargs were. They had taken her family's land. Kairi held back a whimper, she had to stay strong. Her ears pricked when she heard the same reproachful growl. She swung her head around, teeth flashing for a second as her silver-blue orbs glared at Lydair. Now this varg was not the alpha nor was she a beta. The pack was still new and the ranks were still un stable. With this Kai let out an angered growl at the Healer that replied to the healers growls.
Kairi watched Lydairs eyes move toward Uskiya and Shako. She had heard The healer address her brother. And Kairi felt for the first time in a long time like an outsider. Her eyes wandered toward Shako. Kairi took a step back, though her defense and poise never fell for her pride was too strong to break. She looked to the Warrior. The one that she had taught herself. Taught Shako all she knew and remembered how she had brought her younger brother into the pack in the first place.
But memories was all she had left, for now the pack that she called home was now a different world. But this was her home and though it changed she vowed to stay. Though it was natural for a wolf pack to be overtaken and new alphas take over the pack, the pack's hierarchy would be broken and would take time to reestablish. Kairi felt like her world was hanging on, as if the ground which she walked upon would deteriorate and disappear right under her nose.

The silver Drappa remained standing her ground against the younger member of Ge-Rad, her tassel erect and brushy as each hair along her hackles and tail stood on end, making the faemme’s appearance appear larger than normal and far more vicious. But as Kairi took a step back and lowered her tail slightly, Cwen was still not satisfied and snarled maliciously, lunging forward and snapping at the insolent varg’s muzzle in a threatening manner, growling savagely as her temper soared to the heavens. She had half expected the previous Ge-Rad members to act in a hostile fashion towards their new alphas and the new members of Ge-Rad. After all, now that the preceding alpha’s had been defeated and taken over, the hierarchy was in ruins and no one rightly knew who was higher than who. But Cwen was the Drappa, and therefore this varg would get her punishment for challenging her new Alpha’s authority. Stepping back from her lunge, Cwen allowed Kairi to snarl and snap at Lydair for her actions. It was not up to her in the end who was higher than whom in the pack, so long as she knew none thought they were higher than herself. “I must say, that has been my most enjoyable greeting to this pack so far,” she sneered darkly at Kairi, passing by the faemme on stiff legs and silent paws, ignoring the sodden grass as it splattered her legs and made them wet and cold. “Of course I’d like to learn your name as I have the rest. Someone so bold and yet so silent…tis true what they say about having to watch out for the quiet ones,” she chuckled darkly, rounding on the group and sitting herself promptly behind them, tassel flicking irritably before curling round her forelimbs.

Uskiya looked to Lydair and then glanced at Shako as the varg known as Kairi seemed to be paying no respect to their Drappa. Uskiya only watched as Cwen put up with nothing. Uskiya didn't feel it her place to do anything, she was the nurse, not anyone to start a fight. She watched as Lydair snarled at Kairi, Uskiya's auds twitched and her tail moved agtatidly but she did nothing else. She looked back to Cwen, her golden orbs watching the drappa's moves. It was obvious she wouldn't put up with this fiery varg. Uskiya only watched as Cwen lunged at the varg, Uskiya moved slightly, though she knew it was what needed to happen it reminded her so much of what her family did to her, only they had come into contact with her fur. She shivered slightly but relaxed as her drappa circled Kairi and then seemed to relax. She supposed this had to happen when this sitation had come to be. Uskiya watched Lydair, wondering what she would do next, it was obvious she thought the vagr's approach to their drappa had been unacceptable, she padded over to Lydair and sat down, though she still stayed a distance from Lydair, not to be unsocialable, but because Uskiya was taught that her company was never needed. But hopefully Uskiya could get to know Lydair, but now her attention went back to their drappa and the new varg.

Kairi stepped back a step, her silver blue orbs still transfixed on the form of her drappa Cwen. Her back bristled and she regained confidence for the second and let a low grumble of agitation escape her muzzle. She watched as Cwen's eyes bore through the her crimson self. Her tail twitched and her lips curled but fell. her ears fell flat against her head and she starred at her drappa. Kai growled, administering Cwen's threats but still did not back down. But the instinct of the wolf was wearing her down and she found once again that she could not hold her drappa's eyes. But in the next second Kairi found Cwen lash out at her. Kairi let out a yelp but replaced it with a snarl.
At once the role of the dominant and subordinate played out and Kairi found that she had lost this fight. Kai simmered, her tail had fallen and pressed against the back of her leg and she hesitantly fell to the floor onto her soft white belly. Her eyes starred at paws of her drappa and her brows knitted in irritance and aggravation. She let the last growls rumble in the back of her throat as the faded away. Her ears fell flat and she let out a whine to ask for permission to be let back up. Though she had accepted her loss Kairi had not given up. And rolling onto her back and flailing her paws in midair were not an option in her eyes.
Instead she stayed her place, and directed her eyes to the watching GE rad members and let her last growl wash over them. Before awaiting approval from Cwen, if given.
Kairi turned her gaze onto the drappa but did not make eye contact. "My name is Kairi." she said, her words bold and strong. Kairi could feel the sneer that formed on the silver drappas lips. But Kai grinned aswell, "And I myself cannot say that it hasn't been a pleasure to meet my new Drappa" Kairi replied, the words rolling of her tongue in a slick form as she still stayed in her position.

Kairi was clearly pushing herself into submission, and Cwen knew it. The appearance of the red furred faemme merely lying on her belly rather than a true Sikla or submissive wolf would do, would have thrown Cwen into an angrier fury. But no, she had shown the delta what would come to her if she stepped out of line once more – and Kairi had fallen before her, not snapped back like the insolent varg she’d at first made herself out to be. Nodding with satisfaction, Cwen growled at the fae and grinned wryly. “Glad to hear it,” she answered back, signalling that she was free to get up if she wished. Looking round at the others Cwen peered over their forms and chuckled darkly. It was often a common scene to see a varg put down before the others – but frequently it was the Sikla, not the average delta. Curiosity washed over Cwen and she wandered what the pack would be like within a few suns time. Surely by the roles would finally settle in and she would know who was who and who had what position amongst the group. Lydair she knew was the Healer, but who else had jobs that were seated round their Drappa at this moment? “You are a quiet bunch are you not? Come now – speak amongst yourselves and tell me of you. How am I going to remain a good Drappa if I do not know the members of my pack?” she grinned darkly.

Pools of amber, trapping ebon stones withing their depths watched the small assembly . The eyes watched with a strange, impassive gaze for a few moments. This was his pack? Koan highly doubted it. A pack lead by a pair of cowards was more like it. While he no longer felt his murderous drive towards his father, nothing had changed towards Cwen. One day, he would have his revenge meted out in blood; her blood, if he ever had his way.
He stepped down, something deep within him responding to the scent of Ge-rad. A faint memory of a battle, flame, and burning. He brushed it away, nudging it off as little more then a day dream. He sat back on his haunches, his scarred head staring around at them. His tassle curled about him, the only part of him that didn't bear the slightest of scars. He was not a particularlly striking young wolf, but he was well built and quiet. He still hadn't changed. So long ago... when he and Huts had been romping, it had been the same. The golden fae and he, the well built silver. The oppisites. Now, he felt an absense deep within his body, like a cruical part was missing.
He heard her question, and her own laugh was mirrored with one of his, the ones the sounded of the dirt humans used to coat the graves of their dead. "I suppose I shall be the first then." he said, his voice quiet, but not the old gentle one. This one was the sound a of a callous. "My name is Koan, son of Draeg. I'm not sure of my position in this pack."

“That’s enough Cwen, you’re scaring the others. They’re going to think you’re insane if you keep this up much longer.” Draeg chuckled as he followed Koan out into the clearing. He had been watching his mate for some time now, seeing how she would react to Kairi’s challenge and so far he had been pleased with the outcome. Very few varg could outmatch Cwen a battle of the wills, once the silver furred Drappa set her mind on something it was nearly impossible to stop her. Draeg knew that he had made the right choice in picking her to be his Drappa by seeing how easily she had handled a potential challenger, knowing that she would make sure that everyone in Ge-Rad would know their place in the pack. Padding over to her he circled his mate once before brushing himself firmly against her side and giving her cheek an affectionate lick. “Having fun are we?” he said smugly, raising an amused brow at her before turning his attention over to Kairi and scowling fiercely. “Learn your place and show the proper respect for your Drappa. I will not tolerate anyone that disrespects my mate and disrupts the unity of this pack, I saw you when I first came here so I know who you are and I’m telling you this now. Either you issues and accept the fact that Brypaw is no longer around or you can leave! Your choice!” Draeg watched as Koan seated himself nearby and, in accordance to Cwen’s last statement, introduced himself to the small gathering of wolves. Sensing the resentment in Koan’s tone Draeg couldn’t help but frown at his son, knowing that he still blamed Cwen for Huts’ death. “Well then, who’s next?” he asked, looking back toward the remaining members of the pack.

Yelae aproached the group of others, looking curiously around. She was the newest member at the moment, and knew no one...save for one. "Shako!" she cried, at the same moment another femme shouted his name. She felt her heart tug, and a hint of an unknown feeling followed by a well-known feeling...sorrow. She shakes her head, clearing the uncomfortable feeling she did not have a name for, and looked over towards the Dragga and Drappa of her new pack.
She heard the Dragga's inquiry, and she turns, bowing her head. "I am Yelae, the newest member of this pack," she whispers, shy and still saddened.
