“I hate you!” Those were the last words Kop had yelled at his father before he had run off, moving swiftly through the meadows that made up Ge-Rad boundary line and disappeared into the forest leaving his father behind him, stunned and hurt. The pair had been quarreling again, something in which they seemed to be doing a lot more of as of late, Draeg had noticed Kop had been caught sneaking back into Ge-Rad after ‘accidentally’ getting lost again during another one of his father-son outings with his father, to make matters worse Draeg had noticed his injured flank, a souvenir from his last adventure with Shayla, and begun interrogating him until finally the tri-colored dragga had snapped at his father and a fierce argument had erupted between the two.
The young varg had run until he had come across a thin strip of rushing water that he instinctively knew to be the river, after treading along the bank for a time he had crossed where the raging torrent was no more than a mere trickle at his padded feet. He remembered hearing somewhere that crossing the river would wipe away his scent and make it a great deal more difficult for others to track his progress, it seemed like now he would be putting that knowledge to the test. Once he was across the grizzled varg continued his trek, padding further into the depths of the forest without a second thought.
The weather had grown colder with the arrival of winter and already the first bits of snow had already fallen and shrouded the land in a thick blanket of white, it was Kops first winter and like his siblings he was both fascinated and frightened by the changes that had taken place around him. He had never seen snow before and as such was thrilled by the strange white powder, Kop loved how it crackled and crunched beneath his paws and the way it collected on his still thickening pelt until snow laden his entire backside. Best of all he never felt the chilling affects of the cold thanks to the two layers of fur that covered his entire body, acting like an insulator and repelling the cold so that almost no heat escaped from his large form.
Despite the fact that he was still upset from his argument with his father Kop couldn’t help but smile as he found himself frolicking about the snow covered landscape, running back and forth happily and occasionally rolling about the frozen powder until he finally grew tired and was forced to stop. Taking a quick survey of his surroundings Kop realized that he had wandered a bit farther then he had originally intended, having transverse meadows of his home pack to mountains that overshadowed all of Transylvania. Kop looked up at the monumental landform in awe, never having seen it so close and marveling at the sheer size of the mountain which towered over him higher than any tree he had ever seen. He didn’t realized that how far from home he actually was or the fact that he had accidentally wandered into the territory of a foreign pack, the snow having masked the scent of the pack’s boundary line thus leaving it undetectable to the young varg. And so Kop pressed onwards, unaware of his intrusion as he set out to explore the vast mountain range that lay before him and see the land that was List.

The snow beneath the varg's paws was like powder as he padded along through the terrain of List, his footfalls muted by the ivory shroud of snow. Although his pelt was not nearly as helpful as Sudak's in this time of year and sort of weather, the adolescent wolf of List made sure to keep silent and unseen as he patrolled the borders of the pack territory, slipping in between the shadows that masked his darker pelt easier than the glittering white frost would have done. Senses up and alert, seemingly heightened by the crystal clear air that was associated with these mountains. Tapering ears twitching as he listened to the silence of his journey, long nose quivering as he tasted the air, Novex blinked in pleasure at the freedom somehow released in the brittle breezes.
For most of the patrol, things had been running smoothly. He had come across no Kerl's or heard any calls that demanded Tratto's Blessing, nor had he come across any of his packmates as he had padded across the edges of the List. Thoroughly enjoying himself.
He didn't notice them at first, as they seemed small and insignificant, more like little dots on the ground before him. They could have belonged to any other lera, but as Novex drew near he could easily identify these as large foriegn pawprints of another varg. Scenting the spores left behind in the little indented bubbles left by the pads of the cub who had wandered in, the mottled black wolf's lips curled up into the beginnings of a snarl as he recognized the scent of the youngster to be that of Ge-Rad. A pack, Novex realized, that the List was not allied with. The black-phased youth began to trek after the trail leading toward the mountains, his paws light and soft in the snow, streaking along through the shadows stealthily.
Novex's black coat, littered with light grays and warm browns, hid him well in the gloom of the forest, and it wasn't long until his rich copper gaze sought out the powerfully-built varg and his own grizzled gray pelt. Slipping in closer upon quick and agile paws, Novex fell in step behind the youth that had wandered in the packlands. Before Kop could take another step however, the snarl that had been secreted in Novex's chest reverberated from his throat and he demanded threateningly from the stranger, "Stop there if you value your life! What business do you have on the lands of List?"

Raising her golden maw to sent the air, Renn breathed deeply, inhaling the scents of Novex and a strange new Varg. Loping forward to where the scents had come, Renn soon realised she stuck out like a sore paw against the snow. Briefly stopping, the faemme rolled over and over in the white blanket, covering herself with the stuff, feeling it cling to her fuyr, blotting out most of its colour.
Peering over a large ridge, Renn made out the two forms, one ebon and the other, tri-colour. At first the tri-hued form looked a but like Gryffin, but that theory dissolved when Renn realised that the stomach was not swollen. No, it was a newcomer, trespassing on List terra without calling Tratto's Blessing. Padding forward, Renn stopped three metres away from the new Varg, and uttered a short sharp bark to alert the Mann.

Gryffin lifted her head and her pink tongue ran along her black lips as her emerald optics scavenged her surroundings. Ears twitched and she dipped her muzzle again as her teeth dug into a rabbit carcass she had luckily picked off when she found the struggling rodent trapped in a ditch, its paths blocked by roots that tangled it into a deathly fright. Gryffin picked off what meat there was and left the bones for the already hording crows to pick on.
Getting onto her feet she yawned and shook out her fur. before eyeing the black birds, "There i saved yah some happy!" Gryffin rolled her eyes and began a steady trot toward her den when the sharp bark and growl was detected. Gryffin stopped. Was she hearing things? GRyffin lifted her muzzle and sent it, licking the air. It was by chance that the wind was blowing her way. She could scent List vargs and one stranger.
Gryffin growled. "Not another one" she growled at the thought of another kerl trying to seek shelter and food in List. She would show the next kerl that List was no place to stop if they wanted rest. Did they want to get pampered as well? Gryffin thought with a grumble.
The tri hued varg, with a swollen stomach materialized from the thickets and growled. "What do we have here now? Yet another young kerl?" Gryffin asked and she could see Novex with Renn close behind him eyeing at a intruding Mann. Gryffin frowned, and thought that she could recognize that face. She could have sworn she had seen it before. Gryffin padded toward the Mann and let a low grumble echo forth from her throat. Bending down she scented the varg and Gryffin gasped. He smelt of Gerad and... Gryffin scented again, "Are you Draeg's son?" She spoke her voice strong.

As time wore on Kop found himself slowly making his way towards the colossal elevation of earth, unaware that each step he took carried him further and further into the territory of List and possibly into harms way. He wondered what it was like atop the mountain peaks and how it differed from the forest and meadows that he was so accustomed to, even more so he was eager to see what sort of lera dwelt atop the rocky slopes and find out what sort of adventures were to be had across such rugged terrain. He trotted along in as steady, easy pace, holding himself in a dominant manner with his tail upraised and his head held high like his parents would often do when walking amongst the wolves of Ge-Rad.
After a while he stopped for a brief rest, shaking loose the blanket of snow that covered his pelt Kop took a survey of the surrounding. Seeing that there was no one in sight he gave out an approving nod and took a moment to relieve himself of an irritating itch behind his ear that had been troubling him for a while now, humming softly to himself as he did and eventually singing the words to a song his father had taught him. He was halfway through the second verse when he became aware of someone watching him, before he could even turn to take a glance over his shoulder a fierce snarl rang out in the frosty air and Kop heard someone rap out a sharp command. In an instant the young varg leapt to his feet and whirled around to face his aggressor, arching his back in an attempt to look bigger and baring his fangs menacingly he let out a savage snarl. Kop silently chided himself for being so careless and allowing himself to be caught off guard, wondering why he hadn’t been more aware of his surroundings. His gray eyes narrowed dangerously on the newcomer and Kop took a moment to study him before finally answering, speaking in a low and even yet clearly dangerous tone. “Don’t threaten me!” he growled steadily, adopting a defensive stance and making sure to keep about three herla distance between the strange varg. “I don’t know what you’re talking about but as far as I can tell I have done nothing wrong so back off!”
It never occurred to Kop that he might be intruding upon another varg’s territory let alone another packs, not having scented the pack boundaries he was completely ignorant as to why he was being threatened or even the severity of situation or the consequences that would surely follow. And so they just stood there sizing each other up for a moment, neither varg choosing to back down as they did their best to intimidate the other. The young scout didn’t seem too much older than Kop, maybe about a moon or two, but Kop knew that that moon or two of experience could be the deciding factor if a fight broke out between the pair. As bold as Kop was he was by no means stupid, while he could be arrogant at times he had been taught never to rush headlong into a battle if he didn’t have too, especially if he could find a way to avoid any kind of direct confrontation. The stranger was slightly larger than him which probably gave him the advantage in terms of strength, there was a chance that Kop might be able to outrun him if he needed to but the young varg didn’t exactly feel like taking that sort of a chance. So instead he held his ground and kept to the defense, knowing that there was a slight chance he might be able to intimidate his adversary and drive him off without having to result to bloodshed. However part of Kop longed for a fight, to show what he was truly capable of and see just how he’d match up with the elder wolf. It was a challenge, a thrill, something Kop lived for.
However before either varg could do anything a sharp bark rang out from atop a nearby ridge, throwing a quick glance towards the rocky outcropping yet making sure not to entirely take his eyes off of the black varg Kop noticed another varg, this one a female by the look of her, swiftly making her way over to the pair until she stood only a short distance away from the grizzled adolescent. Unlike the first varg the newcomer had light colored fur which was rich golden hue, she seemed to be around Kop’s age though he couldn’t guess her exact age and as such was unable to determine who between them was the eldest. For some reason Kop suddenly felt compelled to compose himself and show off, the appearance of the femme apparently having triggered something in the recesses of his mind which gave him the impression that his squabble with the black dragga didn’t really matter anymore. However he shook these feelings away, knowing better than to believe such nonsense. This femme was obviously allied with his opponent which made her his enemy for the moment, whatever he was feeling wasn’t as important as making sure he lived to see the sun rise again the next day.
Another form materialized from the thicket and Kop’s snarling renewed tenfold as he found himself facing yet another varg, this one a great deal older as well as larger than either himself or his two opponents. It was another femme, this one with a tri-colored pattern pelt similar to his own though whereas Kop’s was an assortment of grizzled gray, ruddy red, and brown hers consisted of black, gold, and white, her eyes were like a pair of emeralds though her most distinguishing feature was her stomach, which was unbelievably swollen and hung low to the ground until it was practically dragging along the snow covered earth. She spoke as she quickly surveyed the situation before beginning to make her way over towards the young dragga at which point Kop bared his fangs menacingly and issued out another fierce snarl, taking a quick step back so that there was still some distance between them. “I have a pack!” he spat in response to her question, boldly raising himself up to his full height.
He snarled again as the strange femme uttered a low growl and studied his scent, ignoring her surprise as she discovered the scent of his pack which still lingered on him despite the fact that the snow had diluted most of the scent. However his snarl died on his lips upon hearing her speak, her question catching him completely off guard and causing Kop to reel his head back in surprise. He was reluctant knowing that he had to be careful with who he revealed his heritage to, however something about this femme told him that she posed no real threat to him and would allow no harm to come to him so long as he chose to cooperate with her. Cocking his head in confusion he nodded and allowed himself to venture forward slightly so that he was slightly closer to the pregnant fae and could study her a bit more thoroughly, though he still maintained his defensive stance. “Who are you and how do you know my father?”

Almost instantly, the young varg spun around in the snow and bristled, adopting a defensive stance as Novex's voice rang out across the still air and snow. His own hackles had raised, his lips pulled over his long ivory canines although the echo of his call was the only sound that he uttered hence forth and his ears were pinned to his smooth, ebon skull although his tail was raised as to asert himself dominant over the cub that had wandering ignorantly into the lands of the pack. The adolescent's legs were rigid as he stalked to either side, copper eyes dancing over the youth's stance which seemed to slip between agressive and defensive as if he wanted to start a scuffle in these snows but knew that this was a choice unwise.
At the cub's answer however, the copper eyes of Novex widened in surprise and his soundless snarl was disregarded for a moment before he chuckled and stared over at the youth who obviously seemed to be serious about his ignorance. About to reply, but vocals restricted as another figure, honey-gold and faemme came into view. It was Renn who, although momentarily distracted Novex of his original objective, also seemed to make the youth who had stumbled into these lands want to do something more now, although Novex was too far away to precisly decipher. The mottled black and gray wolf dipped his head in greetings to the she-wolf before rounding back to to the traditional, grizzled-gray varg.
This time, Novex wasn't about to reply to the wolf opposite him when Gryffin appeared, and he lowered his head in respect to her position above him, but still he glared over at Kop. Nowadays, the pack was, more than ever, alert and wary to strangers due to the pregnant drappa, and Novex would be no exception in a fight whilst he was protecting a new future of the List. But Gryffin herself had emerged and seemed to have not to have a great problem with the youth among them, so Novex shut his muzzle but padded forward slightly on stiff and rigid legs with his hackles still on end lest the intruder attack although he did not seem the stupid sort to Novex.
Upon hearing Gryffin's first statement, Novex rolled his eyes and was instantly reminded of Drathlic, knowing that his friend had a reputation of knowing the kerls first, and he suddenly fancied what an ironic thing it would be if Drathlic did indeed know this mann before he had scurried into the pack territories. Gryffin's second question however, caught not only Kop but Novex off guard and suddenly he felt the fur along his spine slowly lie down as he searched for a memory of what Drathlic had told him earlier. "Well...she's from Ge-Rad. Cwen and Draeg's daughter..." Suddenly Novex blinked at the newcomer, thinking that it may not be so ironic if Drathlic knew this varg as well.
"We are some who make up the List Pack, as these are our lands and is our territory." Novex replied absently to his first question, but to the second or even a more detailed response of the first was not to be spoken by the black-colored varg, for he was thinking curiosly the same question Kop had just asked, how Gryffin knew who currently lead Ge-Rad, for weren't both packs enemies to one another?

When the grizzled young Mann became aware of her precense, Renn spied a slight change in his eyes, but that was immediately forced back and she pushed it to the back of her mind, storing it so as to remember this particular Varg if she met him again. Lifting her golden head as she saw Gryffin seemingly materialise out of the thicket close cerca de Novex, Renn quickly dipped it in respectful greeting to one higher in rank than her. Ears pricked forward at Gryffin's question, Renn thought of what she considered to be the scandal of Draeg.
The blazing Dragga of Ge-Rad had taken a Mate from the newly-minted Drappa of Ge-Rad, Cwen, and the two had had a lovely litter of cubs. Renn only knew one by name, Shayla, for she often heard Drathlic mumbling in his sleep about the grey faemme. But as it turned out, Draeg had a second family with Firefly, a tan Hybrid and had two sons. Gazing at the intruder with emerald orbs, Renn wondered which faemme was his Mother.
Listening to his unclear answer to Gryffin, Renn came a few steps closer, the hostility flashing in her eyes. "News travels fast of the new Dragga of Ge-Rad," the golden-hued faemme growled, though her snarl had vanished. "Why have you left Ge-Rad, Young One, and ventured into List terra?" Calling him by Young One was ment as an insult, though she knew that she was younger than the grizzled adolescent.

Gryffin padded forward her emerald oculars pinned on the young amber-grey varg and raised an eyebrow at his threats. Some could call this wolf brave to stand up to the List pack in such a manner, but some could also call it stupidity. GRyffin chuckled as Novex answered the Mann. "Yes we are the List and you should thank your lucky stars that we did not meet you with teeth and claws." Gryffin said lifting a paw and swiping it slowly in front of her before putting it down on the ground. "Coming into our territory with such an air and no Blessing as well. Now what would your father say?" Gryffin said with a shake of her head before administering the curious glances she was receiving from her pack mates.
"My name is Gryffin Beta Fae of the List pack you are intruding upon. Now as it be I am friends with your father. Though if I were not you would have been running for your life by now I bet." Gryffin said running her pink tongue along her ebon lips.
Yes, it was true that the List and Ge rad were not on straight terms. Ever since the dreadful war of Koran and List. Where Tarkah the drappa of Koran had killed their previous drappa Bila. Ge rad being tied to Koran by blood were not accepted as a neutral either. Until Fiory, Lists current drappa had seeked alliance with the Ge rad. Though Gryffin had not approved it didn't turn out to be a bad thing for soon the Ge rad dragga, Tarkah's son had been chased out by Draeg and here was how it now stood. But with the hate surging through the balkar and the Ge rad, new passion and tension was thick in the air.
Gryffin looked to the young pup and laughed, "I know your dam be Cwen as well!" Gryffin barked and eyed him closely, "Now tell me young pup, why are you wandering around our territories. Surely your father wouldn't want you running around now? Especially with winter daunting upon us like a raven upon a scrap of meat."

Both varg stood facing each other, fangs bared and snarling menacingly in an threatening show of bravado as they each tried their best to intimidate the other into backing down. Despite the fact that the odds were against him Kop refused to back down without so much as at least putting up a fight, he had never truly fought another varg before outside of his brother Trile and even then the pair would only do so to engage in play. His opponent was older and larger than him, also more familiar with the rugged terrain then Kop was giving him the advantage over the younger varg. However Kop refused to believe that the black dragga had ever engaged in real combat either giving him a sneaking suspicion this would also be his first real battle as well, if a fight ensued than Kop might actually stand a chance against his opponent.
Kop watched as the black scout restlessly began stalk about to either side of him and instinctively fell into step with the larger varg so that they were circling each other, the young varg had no idea why this varg was acting so aggressive towards him but he was not about to let some strange varg, let alone on that barely older than himself, push him around. He noticed that the adolescent was about to say something, but before he was distracted by the arrival of his packmate whom immediate placed herself beside her companion and began studying Kop intently.
Upon seeing this Kop couldn’t help but flick his tail slightly towards the golden furred femme as sort of an awkward hello though he never once removed his gaze from her companion, he was unsure as to why she invoked strange feelings from deep within him but was determined not to allow her to lower his guard. Gryffin’s arrival only complicated the matter further as now Kop realized that he was severely outnumbered and stood little chance of successfully fighting his way out of his current situation and escaping. Kop noticed that his opponent seemed slightly amused with his beta’s question, apparently finding something funny in the idea that Kop might actually belong to Ge-Rad. However his reaction to the tri-colored femme’s following statement had been along the same lines as Kop’s, and ultimately it was him and not Gryffin that answered Kop’s first question. Realizing that he might truly be at fault for trespassing on another packs territory did nothing to improve Kop’s mood, the young varg was not use to apologizing and as such often had a hard time doing so without his parents around to coax him into doing so. “This is you’re territory?” he grumbled, somewhat put off by this news. “I smelt no scent markers.”
His father’s reputation seemed to be well known for no sooner had young scout finished speaking than his packmate came forward, her eyes flashing with hostility as she spoke. Not liking the look she was giving him or the fact that he was being badgered for something that was not his fault he glared at young drappa, baring his fangs once again upon hearing her statement and resuming his original posture. “That’s none of your business, fae!” he snapped, his fangs flashing in the light of the sun. “I am simply here, there is no great mystery to my presence. I don’t have to explain myself to you or anyone else!”
Gryffin intervened before things could escalate further and get out of hand, padding closer to young varg as she introduced herself. Although he knew that she was only trying to be friendly Kop couldn’t help but feel annoyed that Gryffin kept reminding him that he could easily be driven off by the small unit, the young dragga was very proud of his strength and overall ability to handle himself in what could be considered dangerous situations and having a constant reminder of how he had recklessly wandered into another’s domain with no chance of defending himself from its inhabitance was a major blow to his pride. Gryffin seemed to know a lot about Draeg which also didn’t sit well with Kop, who was beginning to wonder if his father had been involved with other femme asides from Firefly. He was curious to know how she knew of his mother though, although Kop wasn’t that really surprised that Gryffin had identified him as the son of Cwen seeing as the young varg bore traits from both his parents. “My father…” he began, his voice dripping with venom. “Wouldn’t care! Just like he doesn’t care about his me, just like he doesn’t care about Shayla, about mom, about Trile or Lycaon, about any of us! If he did than he wouldn’t have betrayed us the way he did and started another family. He’s just some free-floating traitor and I hate him!” He backed away from the pregnant femme, placing some distance between him and the small collection of wolves. When he spoke again his tone was more subdued, as though he were struggling to hold back the pain he felt over the matter and sooth his injured ego at the same time. “And I didn’t know that this was someone’s territory, I came here by mistake. I only wanted to see the mountains.”

Post by Sudak on Dec 12, 2005 22:56:03 GMT -5
Sudak had once again been wandering the lands of list lightly padding through the forests and over the now snow capped mountain tops. As he crested the mountain he noticed a small gathering of varg in the valley below.. very close to the List borders which made him wonder if yet another varg had tried to join the ranks of List. Many varg had been trying there luck with the List pack lately and quite frankly they were begining to get on his nerves. It only meant more to look after and with a litter on the way, the only plus would be more people to help hunt, which also meant more food for the new varg as well. A fair but risky trade off to say the least. Sudak bolted down the hill as he saw his mate enter the scene of young cubs, most not even yearlings as of yet.
Upon reaching the valley which lay deep below the peaks he trotted out from behind the bushes as he caught the young, strange cub's snapping comment directed towards Gryffin. This only florished anger within the Ivory pelted mann. What was to be happiness and welcoming as was accustomed to List most of the time was now quickly diverted to frustration and annoyance. A defense stance toward his mate he took now and stood tall and poudly next to his Gryffin. The comment the cub made had turned into an all out hate for Draeg who had become great friends with the two beta's of List not too many moons ago, just before the birth of his newest litter. Sudak had only one reaction to such a heinous comment.
" Trap your maw young one. You shall learn quickly to hold your tongue when in foreign territory, especially when speaking to those of much higher stature and experience than yourself. Also to speak of your father that way is in no way acceptable here, nor should you feel that way about such a fine varg. Your father is a great Dragga and you should be proud of him. I know of his leaving your siblings and mother but what you should pull from this is a valuable lesson of endurance and survival. To say that entering these lands was a mistake may be acceptable but to come and make such barking comments as these, well lets say try it again and you wont leave here without a scratch. Learn your place little one!"
Sudak's patience had apparently run out as he snapped the cub. He was old enough to know better and to act as he did was unacceptable whether in List or not.
The ivory beta turned to his maw to his mate now and gave her a quick lick on the nose and a glance over to confirm her condition then quickly returned his glare back towards the young stranger.

Raising her golden banner as the intruder snapped at her question, Renn's lip curled into a snarl. This adolescent's blatant disrespect for boundaries made her blood boil. Never had she met a Varg that had been so rude. Unlike Kop, Renn had not felt any pull towards the young Mann, instead a feeling of disgust at his rudeness.Standing her ground, Renn showed her ivory fangs to the grizzled stranger.
Now that she was closer to him, Renn could see that she was smaller than the tri-hued male, and younger by a few Moons. His golden optics were burning with fury and if looks could kill, Renn would be lying stone dead on the ground, her golden pelt already cold and stiff. Pushing away this uncomfortable thought, Renn thought she could tell a vague scent in the air, the Beta she had not met, Sudak.
Startled at Kop's sudden outburst, Renn took a step backward, then regretted her shock. Listening to the words tumbling from his throat like a waterfall, the bitterness and poisonous hate in them hurt Renn's ears. There was also pain in his words, and the golden faemme felt the disgust in her reduce, hern heart going out in sympathy for the grizzled male. The sudden rush of ivory indicated that Sudak was amongst them and at last Renn would meet him. Watching the Beta stand there, hackles bristling and teeth bared as he growled punishment to Kop, Renn wished she had the power to silence Sudak, to stop him from aggravating and perhaps hurting the young Mann who had felt such pain and anger rage through his blood.
Falling out of her aggresive stance, Renn started to pad forward to comfort Kop, but stopped after a few steps. Maybe if she had been of higher rank than Sudak, the golden faemme could have kept going. But as it was, the two were from different Packs, one with a scandal of a Father, the other with no memory until she met Drathlic.

An ebon specter sat below a large boulder. The rock was situated below the looming mountain and so protected to some extent from the winds and cold that winter had brought. His cobalt painted optics were staring out across the barren snowfilled land without seeing. His mind were on other such events. The pack, when he assumed rank of alpha, had begun to flourish, and gain more and more kerls as members. Now the coal colored brute was questioning his decision on letting the cubs join under his rule. Gryffin was close to her time and that ment more mouths to feed but it also meant more vargs to hunt. But with much hunting prey would run scarce and they would starve through the deathly winter, and that was something he did not wish for his pack.
Bristol snapped back into reality when the scent of Ge-rad reached his muzzle. It was faint and covered by snow and water, almost drowning out the intruder's scent. But beside the smell there was also the voices. Growling reached him. Straining his auds he tried to locate the varg that had so ignorantly crossed over into his land. If this wolf too was looking for a place to call home he would run him off his land. Too many were joining him and that wasn't the best of news so naturally he wouldn't want any 'visitors'. Growling Bristol got slowly to his paws. The earth below his feet was frozen and the pebbles punctured his cold pads. Growling with slight annoyance he began to walk onto the snow. It had a crust and the varg managed to stay ontop of it, only making cracks. But when the crust thinned he did fall through and soon up to his chest was covered with bits of snow, and soon after that the thick fur was plastered to his massive body.
Starting with the boundries Bristol nosed about for the intruder's path. Soon though he stumbled upon it. Tracks, large. They carried the scent of a foreign wolf and Bristol carefully followed. He had not long to wait before he came upon his quarry. The Dragga saw a mini 'gathering' not far off. A low growling errupted from his chest and he advanced, tail high, in long strides that brought him there quickly. He was alerted to hostility among his fellow packmates.
"Who are you, to wander without thought or a blessing into another varg's territory?!" Bristol snarled. He didn't much like the idea of cubs roaming about with no use for boundries, they were there for a reason. He had heard snippets of the coversation going on, and caught that he was indeed from Ge-rad and Dreag's and Cwen's son. "You're from another pack as well, well, is there a message you have been entrusted with the is to be delivered to us? Well, what is it you wish of List? Are you looking for another abode, does your pack not supply your needs?" He hadn't wished to sound too threatening, but that was how it was with ignorant wolves with no use for blessings centuries old. "You'll get no such welcoming here." He added, staring at the cub.

Tension was running high as things only seem to grow more and more menacing each passing moment, the level of aggression had risen and it seemed that every wolf was snarling. Unfortunately for Kop he was at the receiving end most of the time, the young varg was learning that he had talent for not only annoying others but infuriating them as well. The golden femme seemed to have responded most aggressively to Kop’s sharp comment, lifting her golden tassel in the air dominantly and baring her fangs at him threateningly. Had he not been so upset Kop would’ve been impressed, he admired those with courage and respected anyone that was willing to stand their ground in the face of danger. Not that Kop posed a threat to anyone in the surrounding group, so long as no one tried to attack him he would keep his fangs to himself but he knew that sometimes to defend ones self they must occasionally put up a fierce front to avoid conflict. Kop was a Dragga through and through, he was used to being the strongest amongst his age bracket and would not easily submit to anyone without a good reason. It was this sort of attitude that often got him into the kind of trouble he was in now, though admittedly this was the first time he had ever wandered into another pack’s territory and even this time had been an accident.
Another varg emerged from amidst the conceal meant of the forest causing Kop to go on the defensive again, this one a large male with deep blue eyes whose pelt was a shimmering white which allowed him to blend in with the surrounding terrain and made it difficult for Kop to see him without straining his eyes. Kop was surprised to see how the golden femme, who had backed off during his sudden outburst, reacted to large dragga’s sudden arrival, however it didn’t take him long to figure out that like Gyffin this varg was one high status amongst the pack. He gave out a low growl as the white beta began lecturing him and grinding his teeth in an attempt to control his anger which was steadily begin to rise again until he felt that he would explode. This varg had no right to lecture him, he wasn’t his father, in fact he wasn’t even related to him in any way at all, how dare he tell him what to think, what to feel, this varg had no idea what he was going through, he didn’t care about his feelings towards the matter, why should Kop even listen to him.
The last straw came from the beta’s underlying threat in which was directed towards Kop, it was meant as a warning to the young varg but it was still a threat all the same. “I’d advise you to think carefully before you even attempt to threaten me!” he hissed, coming forward to meet the artic wolf but still keeping a good distance between them so that he was out of reach from the beta’s powerful jaws. “If you really do know who my parents are then you know what they’ll do to anyone that even attempts to harm me! You have no right to tell me as to what I should think or feel when you don’t have any idea of what I’m going through, and unless you’ve actually been in my situation before don’t tell me otherwise!” Kop let his gaze sweep across the small company of wolves before him before coming centering his attention back over to the ivory furred male, his eyes narrowing as he glared at him scornfully. “I’ve already said that I came here by mistake and for that I apologize but as a free varg I have the right to say whatever I damn well please, I have done nothing to you so you have no right to threaten me! And I don’t care who you are but sure as hell don’t have the right to claim supremacy over me! I am Kop of Ge-Rad and no one is higher than me, not you, not my father, no one!” His last words came out as a furious roar of which the likes Kop had never used before, unaware that his father had spoke those exact same words on the mountainside so many moons ago.
Catching movement through the corner of his eye Kop noticed that the golden femme, who’s name was still unknown to him, had come forward slightly, it seemed that a change had come over her and Kop was given the impression that at the moment the look she gave him was one of sympathy more than anything else. Closing his eyes and taking in a deep breath the young dragga attempted to calm himself down though he still glared scathingly at the beta male from time to time. He was about to speak when another voice cut through the air in the form of a vicious snarl which caused Kop to pin his ears at the hardness of its master, it seemed that he had yet another visitor to contend with now.
Turning to face the newcomer Kop found himself staring at the towering form of the largest wolf he had ever seen, his wore a coat of black that was caught somewhere between jet and black coral, he moved with the utmost grace that belay his monstrous size and held himself proudly in a dominant manner, his eyes, which were a like two glimmering sapphires, glinted with hostility and bore down onto Kop as he questioned the young varg. The grizzled youth had been around his father enough to know that he was in the presence of the reigning Dragga of List, backing away from the large alpha Kop adopted a purely defensive stance and continued padding backwards through the snow. He did not like the fact that almost every varg he had encountered today had threatened him merely because of a mistake but Kop was not dumb enough to snap back at a varg that could order his execution, though he couldn’t help but look adopted a look of annoyance as once again he was scolded by another varg. “I have no message to give you nor do I desire to join this pack, but I must tell you that I only came here by accident. Had I known I was trespassing on your land I would have vacated the area rather than allow myself the indignity of what I have gone through today, as it was I did not smell of the any scent markers that form the boundaries to this pack.” he explained, clearly annoyed but doing his best to speak in a respectful tone. “And as for my wish, I had only wanted to see the mountains but now I just wish to be left alone to go about my business in peace.”

[we won't maul you Kop, not at all *snickers* -- joking. great post by the way.]
Then the ivory furred beta of List appeared; Novex backed away from the common gray newcomer as Sudak approached, broad ears against his skull in respect of his higher position the white wolf held in the pack, although the adolescent's copper gaze still bore menacingly into Kop. He knew that a fight could have possibly ensued between himself and the trespasser had others not appeared, and for a while he was almost wishing that he had the chance to snap at the youth's fur, wanting to put his skills he had adopted when he had trained with the Dragga to the test. But as it was, Novex remained quiet and his strong teeth were once again covered by ebony lips as he sat down in the snow to watch the scene unfold, his flame-hued orbs dancing merrily as he watched Kop's unfortunate predicament unravel.
Studying the younger varg's expression, appearance, his stance and his gestures, Novex guessed that lecturing apparently angered him. The mottled brown and black youth allowed a small grin to seep over his muzzle, but when he saw the honey-golden fae Renn step forward with an expression he thought to be sympathy, Novex shook his muzzle and rolled his eyes mentally, but turned to watch as Kop's sudden outburst of anger released a sudden array of colorful words.
Still watching with some amusement, Novex didn't see the pitch colored Dragga stalk silent as a shadow into their midst. His aud twitched and his head dipped further although it was hardly necessary to do so, considering the Dragga's massive size which easily put his head above the adolescent's. This time however, Novex watched as Kop began to back away in the snow from the colossal form of his Dragga, his speech not as bold as it had been before.
[meep, couldn't think of anything to say but I sure as hell don't want this thread to get away from me] [crappy, crappy, crappy]

Gryffin eyed the young pup grudgingly. Her auburn tail flickered and she stepped forward, her eyebrows raised as she witnessed the cub spit back at her mate and beta of the pack. "I'd advise you young pup to shut your trap when spoken to by a varg much greater in authority." Gryffin growled, her emerald eyes converging into slits.
Gryffin let a chuckle ring out from her maw, "So I do know your parents, but don't think i wont do no harm pup. Maybe I shall bite off your tongue for such rude and disrespectful jeers? hmm what do ya say?" Gryffin said stepping forward and letting her jaws snap shut with a clink of her teeth." Gryffin eyed him before stepping back a pace. She was not trying to frighten the pup nor in the mood to chase him out, yet she was tired of his high air and his attitude.
Gryffin growled, "No as a matter of fact i don't. And i doubt you'll tell me anyways, so why bother? correct?" She quipped her crimson tipped ears twitched. and the tri hued femme laughed again at the pups words. "You really are like you're father aren't you? Even if you cannot see it" She said. The youth acted like Draeg, his same comebacks and his threats and his speech as well.
"Well Kop. I am Gryffin of List and I don't care where your from or what what you are here for.But I do know I have the damn well right to rip that little tail of your butt" Gryffin snapped her lips curling. Gyffin grinned, she thought she could sense a bit of Cwen in that attitude as well.
"Look cub, I don't know why you're out here, but I can sense that you've gotten into some fray with your father or something. and as you say I don't so recall being in your situation but I know that you are lucky your not in my situation." Gryffin told, her voice relatively calmer but her emerald orbs dazzled with fiery light "Be glad you still have both your parents" Gryffin said and turned from the cub and walked back to Renn while the large Dragga Bristol had just entered the scene. Gryffin nodded to him and bowed her muzzle in greeting as she took her seat beside the young golden she pup.
her gaze fell onto Bristol as he know directed the pup and watched with silence wondering why Draeg and his son were playing in such a conflict.
