Snow walked gleefully through the Koran territory. Today was a good day for him. For at his paws were his pups, Patience, Morrow, and Faolan. OF the three, the one who most looked like him was Patience and for one special reason. Yes she was a white wolf like Snow, but she was marked with the crescent moon on the forhead. A crescent moon, a sign of boldness and nobility. Patience was a spitting image of her grandomther, from who her first name came. A second pup, Morrow nipped impatiently at his paws, eagerly awaiting the chance to meet her new pack. Morrow was named after Morrow, her mother's late best friend. She was a light brown. a mix of her parent's colors. The third was a male, Snow's namesake. Blessed with a raven black coat (for those who are wondering, Snow's mother had a black pelt, that's where it come from). They walked faster, for the pups were growing rowdy. They were looking forward to starting their pack life, and discovering a bright new world.

"Papa! Papa, are we there yet?"
Morrow was very impatient as she struggled to keep up with her father. She kept her gaze on his big, white form, and the cub thought that he looked just like a walking mountain of snow. Growling playfully, she nipped at Snow's legs once more, then sighed when he gave little response.
Her beige pelt sparkled in the spring sunshine, and the light brown splashes on her muzzle and paws were warmed by Fenris's smile. As the cub looked around her, she became entranced by the wonder of the world beyond the den. Her dark-blue eyes widened as she gazed at the colors of the world, all the shapes and sounds and smells where new to her, and she took it all in with huge, gulping stares.
Soon her imagination was buzzing with questions and daydreams. Though she did not know it, little Morrow life as a dreamer had begun.

Shadow Mercury smiled as she heard a few small footfalls and slightly heavier ones approach her. She had been relaxing and was neither happy or annoyed that they had come. She rose to her paws and started towards the direction of where the sounds were coming from. The white femme could hear a pup's soft voice, and she smiled more happily. She herself was a pup, although she could tell that she was older than these.
Padding softly forward, she came into sight of the four vargs who were travelling in her direction. "Greetings, fellow Koran vargs!" she yipped in a friendly town, and swished her tail slowly. She recognized Snow, and Morrow, one of the pups, but she had not seen the others before, or at least, had not caught their names or conversed with them before.

The familiar scents of the Koran were a comfort to the young Hybrid as she padded sedately through the spidery shadows of the dead trees of the forest. Their leaves had not yet returned to them and her ivory white pelt was stark against their thin black branches, making it easy to see her from the sky or higher ground. Her blue eyes sparkled as she heard the yips of cubs, feeding her soft heart. As you may have guessed, Amore harboured a very soft spot for cubs, respecting them as the future yet demanding respect from them as any other faemme or Mann would. Another good sign to be interpretted from cubs - especially if they're parents were good and friendly - was that it would be more Vargs who respected Hybrids such as herself, who frequently sufered from attacks on her heritage by strangers. The most recent verbal assault had been from the lips of Demon, cursing Amore and naming her an Abomination, saddening the youth.
It is hard to tell her age, for though she moves with th experience of one who has lived for at least a year, she is petite in build and her anatomy is slender, giving others the idea that she is a cub. Only when they get to know her, hear her ambitions and form friendships with her, can they fully understand her. Though she rarely found the time to converse normally with one of her Pack, Amore felt a strange closeness with Phantom, the Co. Drappa, who had warmly welcomed the pearly Hybrid, and Zhentee, a massive Mann of black and red who had protected Amore from an obvious snapping from the Co. Dragga, Kadin, when she had first called Tratto's Blessing. She had once mistook Zhentee for the Dragga of the Koran, but had recently understood that Tarkah ruled alone, or so she had been told. Other newcomers to the Koran, such as Rush, Rohka and Shadow Mercury, or Scrii, she had not really spoken to, though she liked Scrii and they had spoken a bit. The Pack Healer, who's scent flew on the wind, intrigued Amore, for she wished to learn the ways of a Healer, but she had not yet manage to have a proper conversation.
Snow and the cubs' scents mingled together tickled her curiosity and her blue eyes sparkled, ears pricked forward as she scanned the surroundings. Speeding up from her peaceful walk, Amore settled into a steady comfortable lope until she reached the area. Scrii's scent was just as strong and fresh as the cubs and Snow, and this merely quickened her interest. Coming upon the five wolves, Amore dipped her head in greeting to Scrii and turned to Snow, a slight smile playing at her lips. "And who are these lovely little cubs, Snow?" She asked, her voice friendly and welcoming.

The ebon and crimson Mann paced threw the lands of Koran. His emerald orbs surveyed the landscape, while his nose scented the air, looking for anything new. Zhentee had no real position on Koran, he was actually the Former Dragga of Ge-rad, but resided on Koran for the reason of Tarkah. The Drappa was much like that of a Daughter to the varg. Back when he ruled over Ge-rad, Tarkah joined Ge-rad as a young fae, growing up in those lands with him, after growing she moved on to become the Drappa of Koran, and when all that Zhentee knew left him, he wandered off for a long time, and when he returned he came to Koran. At times he missed being Dragga and wished there was a way to return to that position, but his soul was that of kerl, and he knew it could not last with his wandering spirit.
Just as the thought was leaving his head, a smell reached his nose. There was something knew in Koran, however, it was of no threat. Instead, the smell was that of happiness and wonder. Pups were here. With swiftness, and strength the Dragga turned and ran in opposite direction of his pervious wandering. Zhentee loved pups, and would probably do well as a nurse, but alas, his wandering soul wouldn’t allow it. His long legs and powerful muscles carried him across the lands faster than any varg could dream.
As he arrived he noticed that some of the pack was already there, Amore, and Shadow Mercury. And standing in front of them was snow, a father with three young pups. “greetings,” he said with a slight bow almost, “and what monstrous balls of fluff do we have here?” he asked in a joking manner. He could already see the personalities of each pup emerging. ‘These three just might grow to be a bit of a handful.’ He thought to himself. But that wasn’t something he feared, in fact it was something he impatiently waited for.

Shadow Mercury smiled and twitched her ears to greet Amore, and then saw Zhentee approaching, his black and red pelt standing out against the brilliantly powdery white snow. She grinned slightly as his joke about the cubs, who she found fascinating. They were so unlike her, even though she was slightly older than them.
They were playful, happy, and had a father they could look up to and who could guide them. She had been lonely nearly since birth, and she was a withdrawn, lonely figure who found it hard to make friends and who trusted herself most of the time, even though she wished she could trust others more easily.

Morrow's reverie was broken as white wolf strode toward them. She was older than herself, and much bigger, and the cub was startled for a moment. She watched silently as she greeted Snow and her brother and sister, She backed away a few steps, uncertain and nervous, but still very curious. She slowly crept forward again as another wolf appeared.
Another white varg. She was a hybrid, a mix between a tame dog and a wild wolf. Morrow was too young and inexperienced to know that most dogs were slaves to man, and an enemy to the wild varg. She also did not know that hybrids were often despised by wolves of pure blood, and often subjects to cruelty and injustice. But Morrow was ruled by the innocence and fairness of cubhood, and this varg was not an abomination at all. She was just another pack member.
At the sight of he third newcomer, little Morrow began to shiver. He was a massive dragga, even bigger than her father [who she thought to be the biggest, strongest varg in the whole world]. His coat was black, and decorated with flame-red markings, a startling contrast to the congregation of white vargs around her. Morrow felt the ground shake was she trotted over to her fellow cubs, smiling at the sight of them.
As she stared at all the wolves, who were watching her intently, the cub felt something stirring in her. Suddenly, Morrow was afraid. It was a feeling she barely understood, but she knew it. The young varg had first felt it when Night Eyes had left her and her siblings alone in the den for the first time. Her heart beat faster as she recalled the feeling, and now it was washing over her like a wave.
But something made her stand her ground, and kept her big, dark blue eyes on the strangers. Her body went ridged, her fur sticking up on end, and her tail raised. Though she was frightened, she felt an instinctive fellowship to these vargs. Too scared to stay there, but too curious and longing to run back to the safety of her father's shadow.
The odd sensation held Morrow where she was, on the threshold between fear and family. Entranced, she stood there silently, watching.

Patience strode gleefully behind her father and siblings. She was happy to see all of the things she was seeing. Patience noticed that Morrow was getting attention and ran up to her father, wanting some too. Her father was the greatest father she had ever known, and the only. He was always calm, patient, and gentle with her brothers and her. But today, it seemed as if her father was on official business. She was glad to meet the many people she had heard her father talk about so greatly. "Father, Father!" she exclaimed loudly. "Tell me more about the other wolves". Her father shushed her, for they had come upon a few wolves. Obviously they were friendly, for after a short bow from her father, a smile spread across his face. She sat on her haunches and waited to be introduced to her new pack.

Tarkah padded forward. Her paws crunching on the melting snow. Her tail high as it swished thoughtfully. Her golden eyes twinkling as she stared off into the light. She breathed in the wintery spring air. When will it become spring? Tarkah licked her lips, bfore her keen eyes saw movement not too far away. Tilting her head she scented the air. Her eyes widening as she began to trot over towards the group.
Emerging from the bracken Tarkah grinned, "Why hello everyone" she said and smiled as her optics found the fluffy pups that lurked neared Snowy's paws. Tarkah smiled dipping her head low so her eyes were level with the ups, "These must be yours Snow" she grinned, her tail wagging happily behind her.

(Don't worry Tarkah I'm not very blah today either. XD)
Shadow Mercury yipped softly as she saw the Drappa emerge from the foliage. "Greetings, Drappa Tarkah," she said in respect. The white vargpup grinned as Tarkah spoke to Snow's pups, and she promptly sat, enjoying the company of those standing around her.
Watching the clouds race over the icy skies and also watching her breath plume like lilies coming into bloom into the air, she thought about her past, and how content she was to be here in Koran. She couldn't wait to grow into an adult, when she could explore the lands and view them in a different light.

The friendly scent of Zhentee laced itself within the already mingled scents of the three cubs, Snow, Scrii and the pearly Hybrid. Turning round, she picked out his ebon pelt, stained crimson in a few places as if blood had pooled upon his fur, and his green eyes were sparkling much as friendly Vargs orbs did. A smile played at her lip as the monstrous male sped up and enquired about the cubs, his voice as she had remembered it. Zhentee had been the first Koranian Varg to show true kindness to Amore, and she treasured the moment, taking it as her first part of acceptance into the Pack she had come to love. "Hullo Zhentee," She addressed her friend, blue eyes wide with admiration at his strength and size, despite the fact that he was getting on a bit in age he was every bit as vigorous as she could guess he wa when he was Dragga of Ge-Rad, though sh had not been born then.
The dominant prescense of her Drappa, Tarkah, was clear before the ivory Hybrid could scent her, as if the Drappa carried an aura radiating dominance and control. Despite herself, Amore still feared Tarkah, remembering how their first conversation had been within the dark corridors of the Castle, accompanied by Serg and a small grey cub, and all three of the pure-blood Vargs had despised Amore for her heritage. Tarkah had not let go of her prejudice when the pearly Hybrid faemme had requested to join the Koran, yet she had relented and seemed to be growing used to Amore - though it was clear it would be a long time before true trust could be found between them. Tarkah's snowy form could be seen moving between the trees and when she arrived her golden eyes were smiling, her face lit up as she gazed at the fluffy pups, her voice surprisingly soft, a pitch which Amore had never heard before, nor had it been aimed at her. Stepping forward, Amore bowed her head to Tarkah, aknowledging that the Drappa was dominant over the pearly Hybrid. "Greetings Tarkah, I hope that you are doing well." She said.

Tarkah stood her head high more in pride then anything, and if anyone had stood close enough to view the drappas golden gaze, then they would be able to see the sparkle that shone in those optics. THe optics that mirrored what her life was all about. Tending and caring to her family Though it may seem strange to call wolves that were hardly known family. Tarkah knew that this was her pack, and this was her life. There would be no other thing more important to her now. The white drappa watched the pups with admiration, remembering when she was a pup. And she grinned.
Oh how small was she, and terrified of the much larger world. and how terrified was she when she looked up to see the large looming wolf of Zhentee, staring down at her with curious eyes for the Beta Keechak had brought her into the pack of Ge rad. Zhentee had watched Tarkah grow up from a small pup to leave the pack to become a drappa. In turn Tarkah had looked upon Zhentee and his mate Zephyr as her parents, after her own had died and Tarkahs blood brother Maverick (once a pack dragga) had mysteriously dissappeared alogn with his mate the for said Keechak.
Now it was Tarkah's turn to do what zhentee had done for her, watch over the pups in her pack, and look after them as they grow up to become what they had been destined to be. Tarkah had watched over Snow and Phantom, and Kahuri as well. Perhaps it was time to continue that cycle, and time for Tarkah to let someone else up, to stand and fullfill ther destiny. But she would still watch over them, yes, watch over what she had known to call family.
Looking over to where she heard her name being called she let a smile wash over her lips, " Hello Mercury" she greeted the young albino pup. Before turning her head towards Amore. Tarkah was not too kind when she had first met the hybrid. Though it was true that Amore had not met the ivory drappa on a good day. She had had days of grief, and days of joy mixed with days of moodyness. Mostly due to thinking back to the past. to the recent event that happened to her son Bryrpaw, former dragga of ge rad before he had gotten chased out by Draeg and Cwen to the dissappearence of her mate a season ago. Her tail flickered. She did not trust nor distrust the pearly hybrid. Though she was unsure of why she felt these feelings. True it had gotten better as Tarkah had watched Amore interact with the pack. But the thought of dog blood still triggered soemthing deep inside her. Ignoring it for now Tarkah smiled, "Greetings to you too Amore." she nodded, "Yes, the weather is doign me well." she said with a flicker of her tail, "And you?" she asked back in that all too common greeting system.

Shadow Mercury smiled at her Drappa, returning her gaze from the skies. Sighing softly, and not knowing what to do, she started to walk in a lazy circle around the whole group after pushing her lazy self off the ground. She would have started to have a shadow hunt with the air, but she decided against it as the Drappa was present and she would be thought a fool.

I can't believe I've been gone for so long!
Kahuri sighed, her breath steaming and swirling about her muzzle. Her fresh green eyes seemed dimmed in a way, her bluish hued pelt seemed to have more of a gray tone to now. Weary. How exhausted she felt. One may wonder and ask where she had been, why was her mood so placid? It was Midnight. Her very best friend had dissipeared a while back, right after her hated brother, also Midnight's lover. The sudden coming of her daughter awoke a longing to find the scout of the Koran. She had gone searching for her. The blue fae shifted restlessly again, finally getting up and giving a strained whimper. Nothing! She had found nothing!
Yet her ears sudenly lifted- voices? Her auds scooped the distant whispers from the air, for once a twinge of joy flickered in her eyes and heart. Quickly she got to her paws and trotted towards the sounds.
She didn't have to see them, or hear them to know tere were pups. Her solemn lope shifted into a more jaunty gate as she approached th gathering she now spotted through the trees and dwindling snow. It was Snow! And his pups! Now her tail gave a jerk, slowly that became a steady wag.
"My, my, my. You guys have grown!" Kahuri had seen the little ones when they were born. It was also the same night Phantom's son opened his eyes for the first time. Morrow, Patience and Foalin! She recalled all their names. "I'm Kahuri. Your storyteller!" She cried happily, then looked up and saw the others. "And where are my manners?" She exclaimed, realizing she hadn't greeted them. "Hello everyone! Nice to see you all again!" There was Tarkah, the beautiful white drappa, Shadow Mercury, Amore (who actually seemed to be a hybrid!) and the gallant, massive red and black form of Zhentee.

((Psst, Kahuri, Zhent and I are waiting for you in The Shadow of Mercury post. ) Shadow Mercury smiled at Kahuri, the second varg to greet her when she first joined Koran. She had not been there when the three pups were born: she had only joined recently and was thrilled that so many vargs new her already. "Greetings, Kahuri! I have not seen you for a while," she said cheerily, feeling more comfortable due to Kahuri's seemingly light, carefree manner.
