[Cagalli]

Mist surrounded the lands of Deor as Tor made its way into the sky, awake at such a time was a tri-hued she varg making her way to a certain spot, one she had visited many times. Light brown eyes checked her surroundings making sure she was heading in the right direction, passing the mangled tree's she noticed the incline of the land. Cagalli was close she'd just climb the rest of the hill and then down and she'd be there, looking up once more she smiled and began her ascent.

She reached the top of the hill leading toward a beautiful Field where the river flowed over a large waterfall then split in two at the bottom, one lead to a crystal clear pool, where she and Mist had swam many times when she was a young cub and newer to Deor, the other out to the sea. The rest of the area was a rich green with tall grasses and moss on the rocks, next to the pool was the oak tree. A smile crossed her grey,and tan muzzle going back to her cub hood and playing chase with her mother. Before she made her descent she picked some grass up in her mouth and pulled the blades from the ground, the grass hung from each side of her muzzle, lowering her head she padded down the hill.

She was carrying not only the grass but also her future, and the future of Deor. Her cubs unsure of how many she carried, Cagalli only knew that the time was close she could feel their kicks. She had found a den not to far from the oak tree, and had started preparing it weeks ago using the same soft grasses she found at the hill top. The den was a small cave buried deep into the ground, only two adult vargs could pass through at a time but it could hold a few vargs in total. She entered the den eyes glowing as they adjusted to the sudden darkness, at the very back lay bits of her fur along with the grass placing the new bit she circled around it then laid down testing it. With a nod she stood and exited the den coming by the pool she sat and looked at the sky, the stars were starting to show and she wondered about her future and that of the cubs knowing little of the task at hand.

[Lajos]

The young birth-crasher grinned hapilly at Cagi. He had left his own packlands to visit his mate; his pups, even if it meant breakin' every rule established by "the man".

"They're ours..."

He could barely breath. Father Atrus always told him to break every rule, if whatever his cause was meant more than that rule. And hell...

...Lajos did that.

"...Oh, Cagi... They're ours... I'm so happy..."

The priest of Sarnes wiped away a final tear... His pups... His pups!

He felt old.

Lajos coughed and began to nuzzle Cagalli... His pups![/glow]

[Cagalli]

Cagalli smiled hearing the approch of her mate, he was breaking rules but then again...maybe she had too by mating with a male from a different pack. The she-varg had never really be clear with the rules really.

Though she felt proud knowing any day now their love would be shown for the world to see in the bodies of the little cubs, their cubs.....she wagged her tail and nuzzled her mate "Though I must admit...I'm scared Lajos...and excitent all the same" her light brown eyes reflecting the stars once again. A true sign to knowing the fea was happy, truly happy...near them grew a bush Cagalli's faveorite flowers grew on it maybe that's why she chose this den. "Do you think I'll be a good mother?"
She sighed lowering her head to gaze at her reflection in the clear pool as the stars began to make themselves more bright in the sky. She twiched her ears looking back at the hill, the entrance to this wonderful almost make believe place.

[Lajos]

Lajos, too, twicked his ears back fort a moment before glancing over toward Cagi, and thinking of the pups, already content with drinking their mother's milk.

"Beautiful little things, won't they be, my dear?"
He forced a nervous smile. The Deor would probably come for him... even so, he would stay here, even if it meant his death.

In fact, amybe... just maybe... just maybe... he wanted them to gome. He hadden had fun in ages, and with Cagi's little terrors on the way... He might never have fun again...

Lajos laughed.

[Cagalli]

Cagalli smiled her tail wagging slightly, the moon was raising still but barely reflected in the clear pool, she watched the fish swim about. She still found them to be silly creatures their memories seemed to only last for seconds unlike herself and other vargs who remember for their entire lives.

She felt the pride and joy run through her veins her heart thumped peacefully in her chest she rested her head under Lajos' chin on his chest for only a second then sat back up right watching the skies once more. She noticed a shooting star go by and smiled remembering back to when she was with her birth mother "Dear Cagalli, when you see a shooting star close your eyes and make a secret wish, one that you may never tell...and one day it'll come true, believe me....they'll come true" another smile played across her maw as she lowared her head and closed her eyes, she made a wish, one that she wanted to come true. So she'd tell no one, looking back at Lajos she tilted her head "I'm so excited and nervous all in the same bit..." The tri-hued fea was about to speak once more when she felt a sharp pain, she whined confusion setting into her mind but instinct set in and she rose from her setted position turning away from her mate she padded into the den and lay there wonder what was happening. Another sharp pain ran through her as her breath increased, panting Cagalli looked fearfully at the entrance of the den making sure she was safe.

[Mist]

Mist yawns and then looks up at the sky. She tilts her head and smiles when she sees a shooting star, and then shivers slightly as a soft breeze, accompanied by a thin mist rolls over her. Her eyes suddenly open wide and she stands up quickly, knowing that Cagalli's time is soon, and now feeling as if she should be with her daughter. She looks around and then frowns, hesitating, and thinking of where she would be. A moment later, she nods and turns east, heading towards her childhood play-place.

Her thoughts wander to the first time she saw Cagalli, a young, shy cub, hoping to join the pack, but being afraid that she was either too young or had come too late. Smiling, she remembers the times after that... Cagalli growing up and becoming more outgoing... more confident. There were many wonderful, memorable times, such as when she decided to adopt Cagalli, and when she first showed her the same beautiful place that she now sought.

A sudden, overwhelming feeling breaks her memories and she speeds up, racing forward, her directional instincts swiftly taking her to the pool without much outward help. She focuses her attention on getting there as swiftly as possible, as she must be with her daughter when the time comes...

Panting, she slows as the pool and tree come into sight. She looks around intently and nods again as a small, black entrance to a cave. She pads softly towards it, and entering, hears two soft voices. She smiles as she hears "do you think I'll be a good mother?", and, after her eyes adjust to the blackness, continues farther into the cave. Seeing her daughter and a mann that she asumes to be Lajos, she pads over to Cagalli and nuzzles the expectant mother. Smiling, she nods. "You'll make a wonderful mother, darling."

[Lajos]

Lajos excitedly yipped and dipped his muzzle in the directions of Mist.

"Hiya, mom!"

Silence.

"I've adopted you! You're my mother-in-law!"

He snapped; a playful grin splattered upon the pure white priest's maw.

"On a harsher note... I am Lajos, Priest of Sarnes."

Another grin, although this one seemed more wily. He knew the Ge-Rad didn't want him here. But he would stay, anywho--Just for Cagalli and her pups.

Smiling, he nudged his best friend and beloved mate. "So... This yer ma?, is it? She's a pretty young thing, 'ent she?'

[/glow]

[Cagalli]

She smiled, her family was togeather though when she birthed the cubs Lajos couldn't be present....she never understood why. "I hope you're right mother...." turning to her mate she nodded "Yes, she is my mother....a wonderful role model" a sharp pain ran through the young fea's body and she yelped in surprise. Then without control Cagalli's heckles raised and she growled at Lajos "Love it is time...." another growl and her resperation increased.

[Mist]

Mist turns to her son-in-law and smiles. At his enthusiastic words, she laughs lightly and nods. She tilts her head and her eyes glow brightly. "Somehow I like the first introduction better... but I will call you Lajos if that is fine with you." She turns to her daughter and looks at her intently, making sure that nothing is wrong and that she is fine for now. At Lajos's question to her daughter, she raises an eyebrow and shakes her head, laughing silently.

At Cagalli's words, she looks at her daughter nods, smiling. "Of course you will, Cagalli. Trust your mother, darling..." She pads closer to her daughter, and her eyes widen at the surprised yelp. She makes sure the grass-bedding is thick and smooth, and then at Cagalli's words, she turns to Lajos and nods. A look of understanding fills her eyes as she smiles encouragingly at her new son-in-law. "You should wait outside, Lajos.... don't worry, everything will be fine. I will take good care of her."

She nods as he reluctantly leaves and turns back to her daughter. She looks over her again and gently nuzzles her. "Everything is going to be fine. Just relax, darling..."

[Lajos]

Lajos nodded rigorously. "Y-yes ma'am..."

He shivered. He may have been a bad person, but that didn't that he didn't care about his luvverly darling Cagi.

He loved her. Loved her... He almost gave up his own life for her in the fight with Salem.... Where was he? Maybe Lajos had pushed the poor youth into exile. It was an easy battle, after all. A cinch.

The priest shivered as he padded down the hill, remembering to pick a flower for Cagi as he did.

Lajos shivered at the mad voice in his head. Salem... the poor boy had been right all along. He was a fool...

...And Lajos picked two flowers: One for himself, and one for Salem--as an apology of course.

If he ever saw him again.

[Cagalli]

Cagalli shivered as her mind raced with many thoughts, then another blinding pain ran through her as the contractions were closer. She panted and felt distressed, Mist said to relax but it was hard for the she-varg to relax when the pain of labour was so gripping. She whined as another shiver ran through her and another wave of pain.

Minutes later the tri-hued she varg found herself tending to a dark bundle of wet fur sucking greedily at her belly she smiled looking down at the small cub. The cub was a young male his fur shone in the moonlight, no ounce of light hues to him the cub was a complete jet black. She looked up at her mother happily, though the smile didn't last as the contractions returned.

[Farrah]

Farrah had heard the news. She raced to the quiet setting now interrupted by yelps of pain. Cagalli's time has truly come she thought to herself. She rushed into the den, quietly enough so as not to disturb anyone, but fast nonetheless.
"Hello, Mist. How's it coming?" she asked urgently. Then, she spotted the small lump of black fur suckling from its mothers belly.
"Oooh!" She cried with delight. She knew not to get any closer without permission, because she-varg in labor were a tad testy as they were, but downright vicious concerning their pups.
"Oh, Cagalli! It's beautiful..."
She looked at the small, wriggling body. "Hi there, baby," she cooed, soothingly. "Aunty Farrah loves you. Yes she does! She loves you little..."
She paused, then realized she had not asked for a name.
"What is his name, dear?" she asked the panting mother. She saw the varg was in much distress, and when she did not answer, Farrah slipped out of the cave quickly.
She spotted Lajos off to the side with two flowers in his maw.
"Lajos! Flowers? For Cagalli? Anyways, the first of your darling children has breathed the air! He's a strong looking one...spitting image of his father in the opposite color!" She smiled, but glanced anxiously at the den.
"Would you like to come with me?"

[Mist]

Mist tilts her head as she watches Lajos leave the den. She smiles after him with understanding in her shining eyes. At a sudden whine of pain from Cagalli, she whirles and pads close to her daughter. For the next few minutes, she gently nuzzles her panting daughter and softly whispers encouragements during the first labor.

As the first cub is born, she looks at Cagalli, her eyes shining happily, and their eyes meet for a moment. Hearing a cautious voice, she turns to the den entrance and smiles as she sees a somewhat familiar face. "Hello, Farrah... she's doing quite well, actually." She answers softly. Soon, the small, unrestrained joy is turned again to focus on the new mother's labours. Mist returns to encouragement and intent watching as the other cubs come out into the world.

[Cagalli]

Cagalli looked up and smiled nodding to Farrah watching as she left the cave the fea tilted her head slightly. The peace lasted only a few minutes and the contractions started up once again, she panted her ears pirked forward listening to Mist's words of encouragement.

Some time later the tri-hued fea rested her head on the soft grass, relaxing finally as four bundles of fur fed at her belly. The last to be delievered was a pure white fea, no coloration to disrupt her white coat. Cagalli smiled the pride she held returning to her tired form she looked up at Mist and smiled again lifting her head to clean the four bundles of fur once more. All togeather there were two boys and two girls, she couldn't wait to see Lajos' face when he met his children for the first time.

[Mist]

Mist sighs wearily and sits down near Cagalli's head. She lowers her maw and gently licks her daughter's head, looking happily at the four cubs. "I'm very proud of you, my darling." She says softly, and then laughs lightly... wearily. "By the skies... I'm tired. I can't imagine how you must feel." She then nuzzles Cagalli gently and smiles. "You did very well, Cagalli... they're absolutely beautiful, and will grow to be as wonderful as you - I know it... with you as their mother, it couldn't be any other way."

She smiles and looks up at the den entrance. Standing up, she looks at her daughter again. "Should I call them in? Let Lajos know that he now has two beautiful daughters and two beautiful sons?" She smiles more and, and Cagalli's small nod, she pads to the entrance, raises her maw to the heavens and howls.
