An exceptionally early but light and wispy frost now glistened and cloaked over Transylvania; the Carpathian Mountains were hued in darkness from the coming winter. The rime glittered in the coming light of Fenris and the varying lera began to emerge; those that were confined to the darker hours of the suns were trying their best to sleepily make their ways home to burrows and nests. One such animal- although this happened to be a putnar- trekked lightly over the ground, her toes spread as she moved inaudibly over the ground. Her ginger coat seemed dulled by the darkness, and her russet orbs glittered bright amber as her vision took great, stalking sweeps to survey her surroundings. Long, elegant legs rollicked over the ground in an odd gate; the maned fea’s long muzzle lifted and her black nares shifted slightly; the berries and plants she would naturally eat were far and far apart in this odd, treed land; so different from her native marshes and plains.
The scent of Varg wafted past her strong senses and the lanky fae stopped and whuffed slightly; she had ti simply hope these vargs held no ill will against kerls or she could be in than more than she bargained for. The Coyte she had earlier met, as well as the gray femme Uskiya, had both made this land seem friendly until the nasty, sneering femme came into view with a snarl and Temira felt defensive around her, and very wary. Sniffing suddenly, she was drawn to the reek of a particular plant; it reminded her of jaun she had at home and Temira was lost in memories; she could feel the burning rays of Tsar and the brush of thick-stalked plants as she blurred by them in a fierce run with Femina…

a light brown furred youngster sniffed lightly at the frost that had settled on the vegetation and the scenery all around him. his brown fur had long lost all it's puppy softness, and was now the course fur of an adult, but it had remained that light brown, except it had darkened along his back and on his right ear. the youngster had also developed a black smudge near the tip of his tail. another distinguishing feature he was quite proud of. however, one other distinguishing feature of which he was not so proud, was a limp that continued to linger in his left hindleg. it was not as noticeable as it had been when his leg had first been injured by the Balkar, but nonetheless, it was still there. he could hide it pretty well in company, for he wished to show no weakness before his packmates, and it became almost impossible to tell that he had a limp when he ran. it was only in a lumbering walk in solitude that it appeared.
Rokk lifted his black nose and scented the chill air. here he was again, in the lands of Deor, boring old Deor. he sighed listlessly, wishing that something exciting would happen. for Rokk had always been an attention seeker, and in his youth, a bully. although that strain of rebellion and thugishness had been quenched as soon as he had joined Deor, however he did aspire to hopefully, become a warrior of Deor. he had a big build and was a natural-born fighter, well, he would be as soon as he grew into his full dimensions. but for now, he was a cocky youth with ambition. and already with one scar on the outside, and yet another on the in.
a deep rumble spilled out of his throat and his brown eyes narrowed. there was a strange scent on the breeze. a trespasser into Deor? Rokk grinned broadly and he flicked his tail in delight. maybe here was a chance to prove to Chalos that he was no sikla, and could do a good job of protecting the borders as any other varg.
the brown youth lunged into a sudden run, his limp disappearing as if it had never even existed and his face hard-set with determination. he followed the scent as he ran, and it led him closer and closer to a strange looking lera. as Rokk stared at it from a distance he wrinkled his nose lightly. this was no varg. this was, some form of hound? although it didnt carry the reek of the human's tamed dogs, Rokk still approached with the utmost caution.
'and what creature such as you, proclaims the right to wander into the lands of Deor!' Rokk snarled and he plunged into sight of the faemme. teeth bared and fur raised along his back. he had himself drawn up to his full height. he might still be young, but he was too big for his boots, and was convinced he could take this faemme if things came to a fight.

{hope you don't mind if I jump in} The small Putnar trekked over the landscape of Deor, looking and sniffing at anything that came into view, always chasing something or another. His red-tinged pelt was growing thicker and all the more bolder in color as the winter swiftly approached on wings of chilly air, and his glittering green eyes spoke of the age he was currently entering: adolescence. It was Ingo, new blood of Deor.
The cub had been chasing after a mouse, always leaping to and fro as the creature raced for a hole and safety, Ingo blocking his way each and every time. But the rodent had managed to finally make it to its borrow, and now the cub had been left with little to do but look for more interesting things in the pack lands.
It was then he heard a bold shout ring on the crisp air and he lifted his ears as he listened. It was that of another Varg, evidently one of Deor from the confidence that he spoke in. And the challenge in his voice only made Ingo all the more interested, for there must be another Varg there as well. The dragga cub growled excitedly and jumped forward, hardly thinking about whether or not his sudden appearance would cause him harm in the long run.
Ingo burst from the foliage that hid Temira and Rokk from his view, suddenly pulling to a halt as he saw the powerfully built male and the strange looking Lera that seemed to resemble a canine form. He decided to stay where he stood when he saw the look of challenge on the dragga's face, and beside the fae was definitely someone he wanted to know about before he made a swift approach.
"Hullo," he called out looking from Varg to Varg, wondering if both, one, or neither belonged to the Deor.

Ah, patrol.. It seemed such a drag when one had to do it themselves - especially when the one patrolling his own territories happened to be the alpha of the packlands. One would assume that the varg had packmembers to do the job for him, however when the pack was inherited from Thunder, his sister's son, the place was already nearly deserted. A few members had come to Deor seeking acceptance since his rise to power, though not nearly enough to be labeled a powerful pack.
The strangely-marked Dragga sighed as he padded through the currently dull territory, bored - he'd been at the patrol for nearly three days now and he was quite sure not a soul knew where he was.. This was unfortunate for the others, though Chalos was almost grateful for the time alone; everybody seemed to complain these days, and a war would soon be brewing between Deor, Ge-Rad, Sarnes, and Balkar.. Evil against good, just like all of the legendary stories of heros and great tides of battle, of man and wolf, of wolf and deer, dating all the way back to when the wolf was a large, vicious, prehistoric creature. Thus, the Dragga had extra stress upon his paws, worrying himself silly over the war, hoping for nothing but his pack's safety and well-being.. Even though not even starting a war in the first place would keep everyone at peace, the Balkar had recently attacked Rokk unfairly, thus revenge had to be taken - it was only fair, right?
Sharp words from a familiar throat caught Chalos's attention, ears deciphering who the host of the voice was immediately - Rokk. Spirits lifted from finding the presence of a packmate, the enormous alpha issued a short yip, trotting eagerly into the clearing where Rokk, Ingo, and Temira stood. He halted, however, upon noticing the maned wolf - who, and what, for that matter, was this creature? The hackles along his thick neck rose slightly, and the Dragga had soon made his way between Rokk and Temira, nodding politely to Ingo, the newest member to Deor, as he passed, tail brushing along the underside of Rokk's muzzle to silence him.
"Hush, Rokk. Kerl.. What is it that Deor can do for you?" He smiled as he spoke, bowing his head in courtesy as his sage eyes stared down at the femme - he was huge, almost as large as his older sibling, Nocturnia, though not quite as bulky.. Chalos had more of a welcoming, friendly look to him than the beast that was his onyx-furred devil of a brother.

Rokk turned at another sudden appearance as a younger youth jumped out from behind a bush. hackles raised, Rokk's lips curled and he snarled defensively. he was not the most socidal of vargs, especially with his packmates, since he had the impression that they all thought of him as a bully, someone to look down their noses at. but he would prove them all wrong. one of these days. he would be the best fighter Deor had ever seen. then, they would change their opinions of him, once they had seen what worth he could bring to this pack. maybe, they might even be intimidated by him?
but because Rokk currently kept his nose out of pack business, he did not know that Ingo was a new member. although maybe both of these were trespassers into Deor?
but as he sensed another varg he glanced behind him to notice Chalos. his snarl lessened somewhat and he faltered as he noticed Chalos nod politely to the newcomer. Chalos didnt see this varg as a threat or as a trespasser. then it hit him, he'd done the same thing as he had done to Draeg when that amber varg had joined Deor for a short spell. he snorted as Chalos' tail swept over his muzzle, the fur along his back now lay flat, and his tail that had been raised in pride was quashed. his angry features now took on a sullen look as he brooded. he had only trying to do what was right. but, obviously. he had done wrong. again. but one of these days he'd get it right, and he'd finally be able to make them all realise that he was not just an immature bully. no. he'd prove them all wrong one of these days.

The red cub tilted his head slightly, looking intently at Rokk as the strong adolescent turned over his burly shoulder to growl at the youth, his snarl ripe with ignorance that Ingo was indeed a new member of the Deor. Before either could react further however, the powerfully-built, strong leader of the Pack stalked silently upon them and Ingo didn't realize he had appeared until Rokk was hushed and the Dragga began speaking to the Kerl who had strayed into Deor lands. Respectfully, the cub averted his gaze and looked over to the newcomer who tread across the grounds of the packlands, trying to decipher what strange sort of Varg Temira could possibly be, considering he had never seen her kind before.
"Rokk?" Ingo turned his attention back to the male who had first turned his growl upon the cub, but little Ingo was not to be put off by the hostile greeting he had been given earlier, and already was subconsciously trying to make amends for something he didn't do, or not intentionally. "I'm Ingo. Glad we've met now." The red-wolf cub grinned, ears swiveling to and fro.
Then, his attention quickly attracted back to the drappa Varg, Ingo padded forward, not past his muscled Dragga or even Rokk for that matter, but closer to get a better look. Although his actions could have easily been deemed rude or unwise, Ingo was curious as to whom this wolf could be. He was intrested, curious, inquisitive. Who was he to blame for his natural pup-hood gestures and actions? "Hullo." Ingo wagged his tail tentivaly, perking his ears and gazing down a long muzzle with curiosity in his glittering green eyes.

Russet orbs scanned the ongoing line of trees that brushed through Deor paclands; a ginger and ebony pelt was ruffled in the wind as Temira took a tentative step forward, wide ears twitching with uncertainty as one slender raven-furred paw was raised. The maned fea's tail curled and she again lifted a long maw, running her tongue about black lips and ivory fangs nervously as a small growl escaped her throat, rumbling into the open. From her left a sudden crash brought the small but muscled form of young Rokk into the field of her amber vision and instantly she dropped her head, lifting her fangs but whirling into a curled crescent as instinct flashed for her to run; bounding away would be no large feat for the long-legged fae but upon realizing it was merely a large cub she smiled gently, dipping her head to the pack-Varg. As Rokk pulled himself into full height, Temira did the same, her natural height allowing her to tower over the he-cub. her beautiful voice rose into the wind softly as her eyes glittered, the thick red fur that covered her breast was buffeted wildly and the hackles that had risen into scraggly spikes along her crested neck were soothed into place. "When last I checked, Deor held no hostility to Kerls. I promclaim nothing but that I was seeking a pack, and Deor reputation seems to fit my personality. And I'm not 'such a creature.'" Temira's voice rose louder and she side-stepped, sharpening her narrowed gaze. "I am a maned wolf, a Varg like you. " Rokk seeemd to be challenging her, and she shrugged, her elegant form swinging as if to leave- but Ingo's appearance stopped her. His gentle voice brought a warm smile to the young femme's face and she barked sweetly to him, again dipping her head. "Good day to you- I am Temira- a Kerl in these lands." Another slight rustle flashed a grin across her odd face, and the great brindled he-Varg that stood before her dominantly was quite obviously the Dragga; the ginger faemme lowered her head, pulling her ears against her head before looking into gleaming emerald orbs; Chalos was the first Varg the lanky she-wolf had seen that hadn't either barely matched her height or been smaller than she; the smile that flickered at the edges of the Dragga's red and black muzzle reassured her and she stood straighter, returning her own and catching the chestnut cub's name as she nodded inwardly to herself. "Good day to you, Deor Dragga." Temira spoke in reverance, her amber eyes low. "My name is Temira- I decided moons ago pack life would be best for a Varg such as me, and Deor's reputation as being the friendliest- but also the smallest- made the decision of which pack to appraoch and ask for acceptance in for me." Her eyes shifted slightly to gaze at Rokk, who was by himself, brooding. Shaking her head gently, she turned now to the red he-cub who had adressed her with a grin as Ingo approached her cautiously; all who ahd met her had first been put slightly off mental balance when the saw her stretching form, and her odd, fox-marked coat; youth especially were curious as to who and what she was and she took Ingo's words in stride, looking into his own green orbs. "Hello."

Rokk's brooding sullenness was interrupted by a voice, and he looked up to look at the young cub, a new member of Deor that he had not known. he cokced his head to the side at the young red wolf and a slightly puzzled expression overtook his features. glad to have met him? Rokk's nose twitched. he had been so used to the vargs of this pack distrsutign him and keeping a close eye on him, thinking him a troublemaker and a bully. a wise choice on their parts perhaps, for that was what he had been. but now he aspired to other things. but, this young varg wouldnt have known any of this. Rokk forced a small smile and nodded curtly. he had never dawned on him, that Rokk really didnt have any friends here. he had been a solitary varg ever since leaving his pack in search of revenge. and so much had happened, and because of his earlier antics and personality. friendship had alluded him. he made a mental note to talk to the other varg of Deor later on. maybe he could ahve someone to practice fighting with?
Rokk's attention turned again, back to the trespasser, who introduced herself as Temira. Rokk snorted slightly. wanting to join Deor? that was again, the second time he had done something like this. but was being friendly part of his personality? not really.. maybe it was a trait he needed to learn? what for, he aspired to be a fighter, a warrior. but maybe, he might need to work on first impressions a little more, if he didnt want to be distrusted by all in Deor for the rest of his life here.
