Letting out a long sigh Cairo stretched her cream legs as she lay on her side in the short emerald grass that carpeted her home pack lands. Fenris was high in the sky beating down on her summer pelt filling her with a sleepy calm attitude. Her bi colored orbs were open watching the grass sway ever so slightly in the breeze of the day. Occasionally a large bird of prey would pass over screeching as it spots unwary prey scurrying about at the tree line. Laying under the cloudless sky it felt simply perfect to Cairo after waiting so long to leave her home pack to join the ranks of Deor. As a guard she ensured the safety of those within yet after checking the perimeter she was ready to relax a little.
Her soft velvet auds were relaxed yet of course alert on her head giving her an odd appearance if able to viewed from above. The grass had been flattened about her fit yet slender form like a tight fitting pillow or bed. There hadn't been activity as of late in Deor which wasn't entirely a misfortune for it also meant there was no trouble.
Licking her maw Cairo suddenly felt lonely lying by herself in the valley of Deor although surrounded by her pack lands and thus pack. Recalling her journey to the lands with Dak she smiled a little allowing the lonliness to fade just as quickly as it had come. She'd never really be lonely again now that she had a pack once more. Feeling satsified she felt herself relax once more watching a colony of ants go about their work only inches from her charcoal nose.

Long creamy legs sifted through the bracken. From here the Nurse was very well blended with her surroundings, the muddy brown that was thrown across her back blending her with the trees and dirt and the dead leaves that littered the ground. The black and grays spiking through the brown made this multi-colored wolf as unique as any gray wolf could be.
She was headed through the forest, expecting to be in the valley of Deor in only a few moments, as she knew her pack lands very well, she’d had plenty of time to explore and journey, for Deor didn’t have much a place for a Nurse at the moment. All the pups here could fend for themselves and no longer needed her services. It was sad for Lucivar, but it gave her some free time to do with as she pleased.
The trees began to thin, and as Lucivar stepped into the warm sunlight, her icy eyes closed tightly. It was brighter than she’d expected today, and the woods were only dappled with the rays of sunlight. Shaking her cranium, velveteen auds flopping slightly, she reopened er blue, brown splotched eyes and gazed out at the grassy valley, spying a familiar figure in the grass. With an excited yip Luci bound forward, her long legs carrying her to Cairo, one of the few girls residing in this pack.

Hearing an excited yip, Cairo lifted her head quickly to spot her closest pack mate Luci bounding toward her. Lucivar was the nurse of Deor and one of the few other faes that belonged to Deor. She also held a closer spot to Cairo being the first of the pack to meet her and Dak when then had arrived. Smiling Cairo rolled onto her back kicking her one foreleg in the air playfully. With an open maw she gave out a responding giddy yip excited to see her friend arriving back from a journey out of the packlands.
Tail struggling to wag in the flattened grass she was full of playfullness as Luci neared her. Lifting her head slightly she snapped at her pack mate's closest parts. Perhaps it was her leg or chest or maybe even her grey maw. She was a beautiful fae who was also quite friendly, outgoing, and alot of fun to talk to.
"Hey! Where've you been?" Lifting her eyebrow to tease her she insinuated that perhaps Civar had been out seeing a kerl in the untamed woods of Transylvania. Stopping her playful manuvears Cairo sat up shaking her pelt free of captured grass or pollen. Giggling a little her tail now wagged freely happy to have a little girl talk to brighten the day further.
Giving a quick glance to the perimeter of the packlands that lay behind Lucivar she ensured that no other vargs were making their way into the territory. Still secure.

Lucivar nipped back at her cream colored friend. Her ear, and her muzzle, then she lowered her sleek body to lay beside her best girl friend. She grinned slightly at Cairo’s quirked brow, no doubt she had silly suspicions, a romanticized idea of what she’d been doing. But as Chalos was quite solitary, so was she when she was out of the Deor grounds.
“Well, not what you had in mind I’m sure. I enjoyed a trip to the river, its quite peaceful out there, perfect for one to collect their thoughts.” It had been a hot summer, and she’d actually gone swimming while on this short hiatus to cool off from the beating rays of Fenris. Her thick plume beat against the ground in an excited tempo, pushing grass out of the way as her body made an indent that only she could fill. “And what about you, have you been in the pack lands this whole time?”
There was a time that she’d decided she didn’t want to ever leave, but then with what little life there was in the pack land, she gradually stepped away from the boarders and explored more territories of Transylvania. Coming back on occasion and being sure that all the jobs that needed doing were done. Now she balanced leaving and staying. She was easily able to manage so long as the cubs were old enough to run around on their own.

Once more a playful giggle escaped Cairo's cream maw as Civar mockingly scolded her for assuming a romantic rendevouz. Not usually one to admit it, she did have a somewhat foolish ideal of what love would be like. Never having felt it for herself she often daydreamed of finding the varg just for her that would love her for everything she was. Even just thinking of it now she had gone into a slight daze that was quickly shaken with Luci's questions.
"Yeah, actually I haven't left the lands since my arrival." Coming to the realization she rolled back onto her stomach lying in a normal positiion beside her grey hued friend. "I was so excited to finally be here and a part of Deor that I haven't even thought of leaving yet." Shaking her head, finding what she now spoke almost silly Cairo's bright mismatched eyes rose to meet Luci's. Smiling and tail still wagging she gave a small yawn streching out her front legs again. Her light claws digging slightly at the grass just out of reach to ensure a fullfilling pull in her muscles.
"How was the water? I bet it was nice. I wish it ran more directly through the territory, I love being in the water!" Blinking in the light of Fenris she suddenly felt even more warm with the talk of the cool stream bubbling about.
Looking forward to more girl talk she felt unsure of what to say next or if she should even start a new topic. If she did choose a topic, what if Lucivar thought it too bold or rash? Trying to forget about the finalities she simply waited for Civar to reply.

||I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but lots of people seem to not know my chatracter's color. She multi-colored, but mostly brown. Look at my avvy or siggy. That's the closest thing.|| “I was just like that when I first joined. But you know, it is okay to go out once in a while. Chalos won’t get mad.” Lucivar was already enjoying this girl’s day out. It was nice to hang out with a fae about her age, even if she didn’t exactly know her to a fault yet. But then, no one could learn everything about a single character. There were always little secrets, like crushes. And Luci was suspicious about a possible romance about Cairo.
Lucivar paused though, the cool water had been excellent, especially for warn summer days like today, “It was nice, the water was cool, and it was great.” She smiled wistfully, she would’ve enjoyed it more if a certain he-wolf would’ve been there, but he’d been sick lately, and the best thing for him was rest.
“Cai, have you ever been in love?”

((No, no it's not rude at all! I'm soo sorry I mixed that up! I should've checked before I posted. Sorry about that!))
Happy with Lucivar taking the first advancement in their conversation her tail wagged faster. "I didn't think he would be!" Feeling full of life she once again mouthed the air near Civar's forepaws that lay near her own. Pausing to answer she thought for a moment on the subject before giving her answer.
"Of course I've loved my family and last pack but I doubt that's what you meant. So, no I haven't." Watching her friend's expression Cairo fired back. "What about you? You ever been in love Civar?" She spoke in a slightly teasing tone to lighten the subject as friends do. Perhaps Lucivar was going trust Cairo with some information. Thoughts rushed in her mind of how she might answer. Maybe she liked Dak and wanted her to see how he felt!
Getting ahead of the conversation again which happened to her every so often she stopped herself from continuing on with fake scenarios. Licking her maw, her black nares twitched catching any smells that the slight breeze might bring their way. Catching Chalos' scent that was so strongly present in the territory she wondered if perhaps he was nearby. Swivelling her auds Cairo realized that he was indeed not.

||Its okay, I just wanted to make it clear for people. The mystery is solved!|| “No, that’s not what I meant, but then… who really knows what love is. I don’t, no matter how much I think about it all I ever see are just… fantasies. Now, I don’t think I’ve ever been in love, or if I have I never recognized it. The closest I’ve ever gotten to love, are simple little crushes.” Lucivar was being as open as she would allow, she wasn’t very close with Cairo yet, that is to say that she wasn’t as close as she wanted to be, but rather testing the waters.
The smells of summer whipped against her nose, and she could smell the heat in the air, it was so warm that it didn’t seem like anything could escape the glare of the sun. The brown hairs on her back twitched uncomfortably, but she wasn’t warm enough to suggest going into the shade. Her pink tongue lolled slightly from her mouth as she breathed in the warm air, tasting pollen on the breeze.
She would’ve told Cai who she liked, but after seeing Cairo’s looks to Chalos on the hunt, she wasn’t so sure if she should. Perhaps she would make him seem like she didn’t know him, or maybe she should just come out and say it. Luci had never been in a position where she thought that she shared feelings with another fae about a certain male. She never thought that it would happen, it was one of those sort of things that you don’t want to happen after all. For now she would wait, Cai also seemed to be interested in Dakota, but again, she was uncertain.

Nodding in agreement to what her friend Luci explained about fantasies and crushes. Cairo was pleased that they held so many thingsin common afterall she never had a fae friend that was around the same age as her. Raised in her parents pack outside of Transylvania she was the only cub born to the dragga and drappa. With it came many responsibilites such as caring for the betas cubs that were reared a year or so after herself. The closest vargs to her age were in nieghboring packs, one of which, a mann was suppossed to be her mate according to her parents and his. This was before she decided to leave however now the mere thought of him made her lips curl slightly revealing her ivory teeth. Nothing about him was desirable.
Swallowing hard she forced her cream pelt to relax again trying to forget him. "Yeah same here. Simply crushes and fantasies." Shrugging a little as she raised herself onto her haunches she thought about wether she should reveal her crush to Luci or not. Afterall, she appeared to have harbored some feeelings for the dragga as well but she couldn't be positive. Well if one of them didn't start to confide in the other than their friendship may never go.
Sighing she shook her head slightly her cream auds shaking almost elegantly as she did so. Licking her maw Cairo's one ice blue orb and one hazel orb looked out to the mountains that peaked over the trees about the territory. Slowly her auds turned back slightly falling against her head. "I actually have a... well a crush now. To be honest." Turning to look at her new friend she held a bashful smile feeling almost embarrased to reveal whom it was.

Luci had noticed the cringe that Cai gave, but she decided best to leave it be. She didn’t know her boundaries to press yet, but she also wanted Cairo to know that she would always be there for her if she needed. Perhaps now wasn’t the right time for that though. They already had a topic, and it was a good one for just getting to know each other.
“Dakota?” Lucivar smiled lightly as she asked he question, the two wolves seemed very close, and from the first time she’d met Cairo and Dakota, well… they’d been quite bashful around each other. Luci would never forget the look that Cai gave her, asking not to make anything obvious. That was their first initial step towards the friendship that they had now. “Or is he just a close friend?”
Her tail beat against the ground softly, tapping out a steady beat, she was still laying in the sunlight, her gaze raised to Cai’s face. Now that her friend was seated she needed to look up to hold a steady gaze and conversation.

Looking over her cream shoulders to face Luci she decided to lay down once more to face her friend nose to nose. Feeling excited to reveal and share this information with someone, finally! Crossing her nicely toned forelegs she licked her nares before responding. Wagging her tail quite furiously Cai finally revealed her crush.
"I'm not sure how I feel about Dak actually but for now he's just a close friend." Batting at Civar's paws as if to build suspense she continued the unvieling. "I actually well, I actually think I might have a crush on, Chalos." Almost whispering his name her auds went back naturally as he mismatched orbs drifted down to her paws as if she were ashamed to admit that their dragga held her interest. Although she trusted Lucivar enough not to warn her not to say anything Cairo still worried if perhaps Lucivar held similiar feelings for Chalos.
Slowly bringing her bright eyes up to her friends she hesitantly awaited a response curious of what Luci might say. Auds still glued to her head Cai couldn't help but feel almost nervous about what she might say or do. Perhaps she was being silly.

Listening intently Lucivar almost chocked when she heard the name, one so very similar, nay, the same Varg that Lucivar herself harbored feelings for. But now that she knew this, she wasn’t so sure what to do. A hint of fear and sorrow was hidden behind glassy blue eyes, hidden in the warm brown flaws that made it seem as though her eyes held two tiny earths. She swallowed, keeping herself calm, but she still didn’t know what to say. Cairo was now not only a friend, she was competition. Could they manage to keep their friendship steady? What if Chalos chose Cairo, or even herself. Could they still be the same after that?
“Oh, I see.” She murmured, her voice deceivingly warm and caring, her jealousy hidden, kept locked away from her friend. “Yes, he is quite handsome, and he is kind too. Any fae would be lucky to stand with him as his mate.” Almost longingly she needed to find a way to avoid this particular topic, even tough she’d originally brought it up.
A knot was forming in Lucivar’s stomach. She didn’t feel so great, this dislike that she was hiding, it would surely ruin their friendship. Thus she would have to keep everything hidden. Her own feelings for Chalos, this jealousy, this gross feeling that was gripping and squeezing her heart. She had to hide it all. “I… am unlucky in the crushing department. At the moment I have no one that I’m keeping a watch on.” The perfect lie, but a painful one too. One that would risk the very basis of their friendship if Cairo was to find out the truth.

Still smiling quite bashfully, Cairo finally lifted her mismatched optics to her friend's face. Her auds still swivelled back placed against her head she had to break the almost awkward situation that seemed to now grip them. Giving a little laugh Cai playfully snapped at her muzzle again still feeling playfull in the sun of the afternoon. "Don't worry I'm sure you'll fall for someone soon enough." Unsure of what else to say she gave an almost sympathetic answer that was simply provoked by her kind heart.
Now, feeling compelled to ask her own question of Civar, she thought trying to decide what she should say. Dawning on her almost instantly she brought up her own past. "Besides sometimes it's better that way." Looking out to the mountains peaking over the trees she recalled the male that her parents wished her to start a pack with. "Back in my home pack my parents had arranged a for me to be mates with a male from a friendly nieghboring pack.
Making a face as she shook her head slowly it was as if she was trying to erase a bad image from her mind. "Imagine the worst varg you ever met and then think of a varg that thought they were Tor's gift to faes and you'll have a slight idea of what he was like." Rolling onto her side she flipped onto her back to look up at the cloudless sky. "That's one of the main reasons I left my family's pack to come here, to come to Deor."
Sighing happily Cairo closed her eyes peacefully expelling a deep breath of her new territory's air. Squinting open her eyes she turned her cream head to try and get a glance of Luci's face through the blinding haze of the hot sun.

Lucivar didn’t appreciate the sympathy, but she didn’t show it. “You’re probably right, maybe he’s just under my nose.” Another hint, but also a lie. She hated doing this to her friend, lying like this. It wasn’t right, it didn’t feel right. Maybe by the end of this fine day she would tell the truth, but for now she was simply testing the friendship. Being sure that it was one they would be able to keep up. So far it seemed that there was only one check against it, and though it was a big problem, maybe they could rise to meet it.
Though as Luci listened to Cairo talk of an unpleasant male, she couldn’t relate. Not even to the arrangement of mating. “I haven’t met any unpleasant Varg yet, of course since I have been here I haven’t met very many Varg. You, Dakota, Chalos, Ingo, Mist… I’ve met them, and I am familiar with the name of our other pack mates, Farrah, Fang to name a few… But I don’t think I know anyone out of the pack, I don’t know anyone that I don’t like. Though this Mann sounds awfully unpleasant.” Her nose twitched lightly, even in her own family there were no unpleasantries. She had liked everyone in the pack, and she thought they all liked her back. Of course, she hadn’t been the heir of the pack, it had been the Beta’s cubs that were chosen for that.
“The only reason I left my family was because I wanted a fresh start… well, that and weird dreams. You see, when my father and mother had found the territory it had previously been owned, and the bodies of the Varg that had lived there were decayed and grotesquely laying in front of the den. Father always told us that a bear or Wolfbane had done it to scare us, but… at night I would have dreams about a silver and black wolf attacking several figures, one at a time. And every time I had the dream a strange scent filled my nose…” she paused, the story sounded like a tall tale, she knew this, but this was only the second time she mentioned BT. The first time it had been to Chalos. “When I was old enough I left, following a phantom scent, well faded at least. I recognized it from the pack lands, and from my dreams. I followed it and arrived here. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that there were almost no fae here, and that the wolf I was looking for… had recently died.” Lucivar’s gaze had become distant, almost as though she could remember her first trip around the territory, when she’d found the final resting place of the wolf she’d been searching for.

Completely gripped by Lucivar's tale of her past and how she came to find Deor, Cai wagged her tail slowly in anticipation for each detail. Still daydreaming on her back, eyes to the sky, she inhaled sharply as if trying to catch the scent she had just spoke of. It was to no avail so that Cairo simply decided to comment on the story. "That's really amazing Lucivar! I wish I had come here with such a reason. You can't just leave it at that though. Who was the varg and how had they died?" Falling silent after her spitfire of inquiries Cairo seemed to be conjuring ideas of who and how.
"You're also lucky to not have met any horrible varg yet I love meeting new varg even if they end up not being quite... well... you know." Almost shrugging she turned her cream face to steal a glance at her gal pal.
"I don't have much more to add to my journey here to Deor except after making my way through the mountains with the decision of which pack I would seek, I realized I had no idea where to go." Intimidated I ran into an ebony varg named Kai who took me to his pack called Koran. His very own drappa, Tarkah pointed me in the right direction. I truely owe her and Kai a favor." Taking a breather Cairo noticed a slow moving cloud that resembled a herla in the ocean of cerulean called the sky. "Outside their borders I ran into Dak who I managed to convince to join Deor with me."
Smiling at the fond memory of the journey they endured together on the way to their new pack land Cai closed her eyes hiding her beautiful orbs. Once more revealing them she rolled onto her side once more facing Luci. "So tell me. Who was the varg?"
