The sun was fading fast beyond the horizon. Twilight was almost upon the wilderness, softly caressing the ground with Tor's gentle light. The stars twinkled above, like tiny fireflies stuck in a velvet blanket. The air was cold and still. A pleasent night for the Varg, relief from the usual heat.
Ebony pelted mann-varg padded through his home territory. Large paws shifted silently through the trees. His crimson orbics scanned round for his fellow Pack members, but saw nothing. He 'woofed' gently, calling to them if they were anywhere near. His auds heard no responce to his call. The night was pleasent. The bugs were hiding from the chill and Tor's light was soaking the ground so the wolf could see through the inky darkness. The trees were spaced in this area, the usual darkness of the forest had receeded into the shadows. And as the ebon form shifted through them, blending into their hold, the crimson orbics kept gazing intently, the auds flicking unconciously.
He had not yet spoken properly with his fellow packmates. He hadn't really had the time. But he wished to speak with them, befriend them. He knew that he hadn't told a story for quite sometime, so he kept his mind ticking over with ideas that could blossom into a tale for the pups. So he was walking without thinking of his actions. Lost in his mind, preoccupied you might say.
After a while, he stopped. Lifting his nose to the air he inhaled deeply. The scent of home. He lowered his muscular rump to the ground and waited for a fellow Packmate to join him.

Deep brown irises sheltered seeking pupils, now expanded in the ever-looming darkness surrounding the she-varg. A black nose sought the unknown, as the blackness closed in... Lonliness. This is all she had known for many a day. The zenith of Tor was the only way she could keep track, and she had counted at least two of these. Quiet. This was all she heard. Everything was engulfed in the void...there was nothing. No sound, no movement, no scents...nothing. Some nights she truly believed she was dead; but not this night. Her nostrils picked up the smell of a pack member. Who was this stranger? That she would know their scent by the group of wolves, yet be puzzled by his actual identity? She moved in for the answers.
At first, he was difficult to spot due to his completely black form, but she caught the flickering of the moon on his ever-watchful opts. She was several herla-lengths from him, so she decided it would not be the best idea to try a sneak attack. This could end in chaos. In the end, howling seemed the most beneficial tactic. So, she let loose a welcoming howl, which screamed into the dark, reverberating across the long-silent camp...

Watching the brilliant red sunset Mist thinks back on the seasons before she had left, when she had a family. She used to watch the sunsets with her younger brother Dias, until they left. She sighs softly to herself, shaking herself from the world of memories as the last of day's warm light fades behind the mountains. Her ears prick sharply forward as a sudden howl cuts through the stillness, speaking of welcome, and a almost hidden hint of loneliness.
Her curiousness and want for company taking over, Mist stands and shakes herself. Turning in the direction of the howl she pads silently towards the source of the now-echoing sound, her dark grey form almost completely hidden in the shadows of the twilight. Her golden eyes glow in the dim light as she moves through the landscape, searching for other vargs. She pauses as she spots two figures, and then moves forward once more. Seeing them both notice her presence, she pads onward for a moment more and then stops and sits. She nods her head to them and waits for one to speak.

Audits pricked at the sound of a welcoming howl. Tail twitched as he noticed the figure. Smiling, he thought of how he could banish his lonliness by speaking to the varg. The crimson streaked male moved raised himself to his full height and padded toward the femme. He nodded in recognision that she was there and in respect. The Storyteller noticed the other varg, he smiled at her and nodded again. His ebony body lowered 'pon his haunches again. Crimson orbics looked at the others kindly. He smiled again. Head lowered in a gesture for the others to sit, for there was no need to stand when the urge to talk takes over. "Ah Hello there" Tor's light reflected off his crimson and black peltage as he spoke. His lyrics were quite different from the wolves round here. For he was from a different country where the tongue was as different as the wolves themselves. Tor's light reflected off his crimson and black peltage.

Another varg approached. It seemed to be waiting to be spoken to, so, directing her words toward both wolves, she said, "Hello. My name is Farrah, and I believe we are from the same family..." She paused...family. What an interesting word. She had lost most of her family due to a tragic avalanche in her past home. Her mother, father, and all her siblings but one, had never been seen again. Family...family... She like the sound as it rolled off the echoing caverns of her inner mind and soul. Family. Love. Home.

At Fang's greeting nod, Mist nods back to him in respect, recognizing him as the pack's storyteller. At the greeting words of both the other vargs, she nods again before speaking. "Greetings. I am Mist. Fang, I don't believe we have met, but I recognize you from reputation, and having seen you before." A smile is dimly seen on her muzzle in the darkness as she turns to the other fae. "Hello, Farrah, isn't it? Have we met before? You seem familiar, but I cannot remember right now..." She frowns, trying to remember, and waits for the others' answers.

"Yes. That's correct. I am Farrah. And yes: we did meet before." Farrah smiles. Good. This 'family' of hers looked like its future was bright. "I have just come into this pack...I haven't been here long...where is everyone?" Farrah was a bit puzzled by the lack of members. This place had once been a stunningly thriving community of varg; now it was only a memory. ((Sorry. Crapped-up post...))
