The cold breeze shook the trees that loomed over head. The dark sand was damp with the water that hit the edges of the rocks. It was rather dark; the clouds covering Fenris’ warming rays. The heavens were bolting down lightning as they thundered in anger. The gods must not be too happy with the Varg or Lera. The water Lera had all gone now hiding from the god’s wrath. The grass was lush green and damp as well as the sand as the soft pitter-patter of the rain started. It was very light at first but slowly got harder until it was a down pour. The wind swept past carrying anything light enough, like leaves, with it. The rapids of the cold water grew angrier as the lightning struck down in rapid flashes. Lera that were out ran terrified searching for cover away from the rain and winds. A fox leapt over a log, its red pelt rippling along, and landed in the path of a female Varg. The ebon fae stared her coat soaking. The fox crawled in a hurried pace under her legs and ran into a small den on the side of a hill. There small kits came crawling out and curled up next to their mother. The femme’s amber hues watched it and longed to have a place of her own to call home. Sadly she belonged to no pack and no family. The only companions of hers were the Varg she meant along her path.
The she-wolf padded along the sand her pads light on the ground leaving faint prints in the damp material. The water was rough as it washed up and covered the fae’s paws. The rain had let up a little but the female hurried her pace and began to trot along the side of the bank. She was now leaving deeper prints. Her golden orbs pierced into the dark sky staring up at the lightning. It was like fire bolts that hit the ground starting fires. The fae was no stranger to the river, or water for that matter. She was even bold enough to take a swim in it and catch fish but not in this weather. Her eyes were dilated to catch every speck of light available to her at the moment. This onyx fae with amber eyes, so famous to Dax, was Ryku a Kerl. The water from the sky has started to come down harder now once again. The path she was taking was the path to her den by the waterfall and lake. The river should take me there, she thought to herself like she often did. As a rain hit her muzzle repeatedly she shook it attempting to get ride of the tickling sensation that stuck itself upon her muzzle. Ryku’s ebon ears twitched and the waters grew softer though the storm had grown worse. The she-varg though it would be best to find shelter so her flaming hues started to rotate in her eye socket looking for something to keep her dry until the rain let up.
The sand grew softer and paws tended to sink more in some spots. Pads against the grass were better; didn’t sink as much. The ebony femme walked to the edge of the trees where the canopy protected most of the ground. Her black pelt rippled as she shook it out of rain water that had soaked her fur. Her eyes did spot a tree that was hollowed out on the inside. Ryku slowed her pace when she peered inside there was not scent of death, dieses, or other Lera. The she-wolf stepped in hesitantly a frown curling up into a weak smile upon her maw. The shy wolf’s face was drenched with water. The onyx fae wondered inside and sat on her haunches then almost collapsed onto her side, but caught her and eased herself down. She lay her tired muzzle on her paws and felt the wet cold gold metal of her bangles on her chin. The black she-varg ignored it and watched the rain fall outside. “This is what I get for straying away from the other den.” She thought to herself. It had felt like she was wondering aimlessly for days when she finally found the tree. “At least I’m dry, and warm now.” She spoke gently to herself. Ryku knew she wished she had a family but was pretty sure that wouldn’t happen anytime soon. She knew it had gotten too bad to go to her den that was just up the river and around the riverband.

“Torrential downpour” would have been too weak a word to describe the impenetrable sheets of cascading water that was currently, and had been for several minutes, bombarding Transylvania. Overhead, the firmament was an ugly blend of blues and purples and greens, creating the illusion that a sky-long bruise had yet to heal. Strips of lightning broke through the hazy sky like ivory branches and the electricity that flowed through the air was beginning to cause a very distinct and remarkable hum, as if the very earth was charging, ready to send off a barrage of sparks at any moment. It was not weather that one would want to be caught in, though admittedly the worse seemed to be over: the thunder, once resounding as if it were inside one's own head, had now drifted far north, toward the mountains, and had become more of a wary growl than a savage snarl, and indeed the rain was lessening with every breath taken. Or, perhaps the weather had only halted, giving the Vargs and lera a breath of fresh (though undoubtedly moist) air before it took a turn for the worse.
The dragga that had, though rather foolishly, ventured into the horrendous weather was now regretting it and was voicing his rue in a colorful string of curses. His pelt, a lush blend of grays and silvers and blacks and lucid reds, had now run together into one seemingly mud-colored pelage and was clinging to his skin. Lean muscles rippled with every carefully-placed footfall; while his fur was not thin in an unhealthy manner his double-coat that served as a water-resistant skin shield of sorts had been known to fail him, as it was doing now. The resulting effect was one that looked rather comical upon the handsome varg; his sodden pelt had slicked down and drops of water trickled along his spine and rolled of his haunches. His tail, normally thick and held proudly above his hindquarters, was now noticeably thinner and the sight humbled him greatly. At times, Dax Ehzno could be rather shallow.
The river that roared before him, however, was not, and he met it with an open maw, an incredulous look glinting in his cerulean eyes. You have got to be kidding me, he thought to himself with an exasperated mental sigh. Really? Really? Because of the hundreds of gallons of water that had ruthlessly emptied themselves into the rill, it was swollen; hungry waves lapped at the darkened sand's edge and Dax steadied himself, knowing that chances for any varg were slim if one were to tumble headlong into the murky depths of the storm-inflamed waterway. Out of nowhere the direction of the wind made a swift slew and he found himself yelping out of pin as sharp pins of water bombarded his tender eyes. Pinning his ears -Dax would willingly turn tail and flee from the elements, because, honestly, how often did they really fight fair?- the mann turned and moved gracefully into a slow lope, wide eyes searching for some sort of protection from the savage rainfall.
As he made his way into the cover of the Transylvania forest, a rather distinct and well-known scent gingerly swept past his nares. Flaring, his black nose twitched and his brow first furrowed, then raised as he recognized the origin of the smell- a Varg, first of all. A layer below that it became obvious that it was a female, young; below that, no pack scent wafted along with it, so she was a Kerl, and all of these facts, along with the added factor that Daxton recognized the bearer, led him to immediately follow it, his muzzle thrust in the air. A nose knows no deceit, after all (At least not when one's nose is more than double in accuracy than any other animal around it). And, seeing as a wolf distributes the majority of its scent through its paw pads, she must have come this way. The thought excited him; though he was in no hurry and was rather subtle with any feelings, Dax rather fancied her and enjoyed the time they had spent together in their first run-in. What could he say- he was a lucky mann: always seeming to run into the prettiest femmes. Though he felt a twinge of guilt of his thought process swaying, he couldn't help but bring to mind a second fae, one Capella that he was looking to join Deor with. She was insightful, and sweet-tempered, and Dax had enjoyed her company as well. Still, the thought of the lovely second femme wasn't quite enough to stop him from nosing out Ryku; they had ended up separating but in all truth he had been wandering, half-hoping the majority of the time to have another little run-in with the black-pelted drappa.
His tracking eventually led him to the open trunk of a deadened tree, its insides technically hollow but for now they seemed to be filled with the ebony bodice of the Kerl he had come to have something of a mild infatuation for. His orbs, piercing through the combined shadows of the storm and the darkness of her pelt, could just make out the outline of her rounded muzzle resting atop paws, one bejeweled with several golden bangles. The sight made a smile twitch across his features as as he stepped into view, forgetting that he probably looked far different than he had on their last encounter, he cleared his throat and grinned at Ryku, his tail sweeping along behind him. ”You just can't stay away from me, now, can you?” he softly teased before padding up to the entrance. Wincing as he saw how cramped the space was, but feeling the cold of the storm clawing at his flank, he let out a low whimper. ”Got any space in there for me? If you didn't know, it's raining.”

As the storm started to grow worse an outline was suddenly visible outside her small den. By the scent coming from him it was a male, young, and she had seen him before. While with their little run-in back in the forest Ryku always hoped to see him again sometime soon. The gods must have made it to be so. She had always loved his company and admitted to herself she might be developing a little crush for this handsome varg. The fae smiled widely upon her maw and in the small space moved back toward the wall so he had some room. “Excuse me, you came here. I was simply waiting until it was safe enough to continue my way back the waterfall and lake.” Her voice was soft as her tail swept across the damp earth. The wind blew past them fast and was powerful enough to blow varg down. Ryku shuddered and lie down and let her head fall upon her paws as she looked up at Dax. Should I tell him? She thought to herself then brought her head back up. The black-pelted she-varg smiled sweetly and whined happily at the handsome varg.
The storm was relaxing to an extent. Ryku loved the soft pitter-patter of the rain hitting the ground and the flashes of the light in the air. Ryku’s ebony coat was starting to stick to her skin clinging like it could never let go and never wanted to. It irritated her so very carefully without touching Dax she slightly shook her fur out. Now it was sticking on end like spikes in the human traps but as soft as a newborns pelt. It was fairly comical so she let out a small snicker. “So do you like the rain Dax? If you don’t then I’m sorry you’re going to be stuck with me for a little bit. Hope you don’t mind.” Ryku spoke softly and smiled her voice innocent and her amber eyes caught his enchanting gaze. The onyx femme sighed happily and playfully nudged her side like she had once done in the forest. The skies were getting worse the thunder rumbling like a snarling wolf fighting for its meal.
The storm was as rough as every the clouds color mixed of purples, blues, blacks, and even a little green. Rain was pouring and in the mess you wouldn’t be able to see a thing at least until the lightning bolt hit the entrance to the den. The onyx fae jumped and knocked into Dax on accident. The femme could feel heat rushing to her head though she let the sweet smell of the Mann flood her nostrils. Ryku felt safest next to him though she more on top of him then anything. Though she would get off she was stuck by Dax’s locking gaze. The she-wolf stared at him smiling and then her eyes were filled with embarrassment and her face inches from his own.OOC: sorry its poor quality. rushed

Dax waited a few moments for her to open up a little Dax-sized (or nearly Dax-sized) space within the hollow trunk before he crouched low and shuffled inside, wincing inwardly at the thought that his pelt was not only slick with rain, but now his soft belly fur was likely smothered with all sorts of repulsive things found along the forest floor. Careful to keep his ruddy tassel held above the disastrous dirt, he curled himself into a sickle shape, tucking his paws against his sopping breast for warmth and laying his tapered muzzle against the just-damp loam. He flicked his tail about him, and he gazed up at Ryku and snorted, the beginnings of a grin spreading across black lips. ”I'm sure,” he said simply. ”But, please. No more lying, okay?” Ryku whined, and, as he had done back at the waterfall, the mann whisked her tail in her direction, gently hitting her flank.
The two were silent for some time, and Daxton found it incredibly comforting. With his head on his paws, the gentle hum of the electric-charged earth beneath his body made him feel as if he was in a daze; his thoughts were becoming impossible to collect and a woozy smile was curling his jaw. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Ryku empty hr pelt of the majority of its water weight and while he thought about doing the same thing, he had less of an undercoat than most vargs and he didn't want to cover her with more water. He tilted an ear in her direction as she spoke and moved his gaze toward hers, returning his smile and shaking his head with a mock sigh. ”Damn. Maybe I should just brave the storm, then,” he said teasingly, nudging her back.
He stood, stretching out his tense limbs until the wet fur of his back scraped against the taller side of the makeshift den. Peering outward into the storm, there was an brusque crack and then, fraction of a second later, a jagged light filled the den and a tree before them groaned as it fell, effectively broken in half. With a yelp, Dax jumped back, knocking into Ryku, who was jumping into him. She landed half-on half-off and he scrambled to get out of the compromising position the two had been in momentarily. Embarrassed, Dax turned his muzzle to apologize and caught his breath as he almost clouted the ebony fae in the nose. Her amber gaze held his, and for a moment he realized what she must have felt like back at the waterfall, when he had so rashly attempted to brush muzzles with her. Unsure of what to do, he twitched one ear forward and pinned the other back, smile creasing his lips and his voice gentle. ”It's alright,” he spoke softly, nuzzling her cheek comfortingly. ”Lightning never strikes twice in the same place.” The tense moment over, he pointedly turned and faced the little window in front of them, allowing himself to press against Ryku just enough that she knew he was there, but not enough to make her feel uncomfortable.

The she-wolf smiled at the heat being shared by the two wolves and felt comforted because in truth she loathed storms. The rain was nice but the pounding of thunder and the electricity striking down from above. Ryku looked over at Dax with a smile and laid her head on her paws. She was shaking from the cold and the wrath of the storm’s harsh breath. Her amber eyes darted to look at the handsome Varg and smiled. “Yeah, no more lies.” She smiled sweetly and gave the Mann a quick wink then gently hit his flank with her own tail.
Ryku watched Dax as she sat back down from shaking out her fur and saw he was thinking about something. While gazing at him she found the place where he had been scratched and smiled. It was healed now and the drappa felt relive wash over her. “I see your scratch is healed.” She teased and kindly licked the scared place. Her eyes were filled with admiration for the dragga as his silky voice rung through her ears. They pricked up and it took her a minute to register the words but she got to them. “You mean you would leave a defenseless drappa like me alone?” she teased him nudging his muzzle.
The tree before the two Varg broke in half as she fell into Dax who fell into her. Ryku saw Dax’s face close to hers for a fraction of a second and then turned away as he did. Her memory recalled the time he got close to her at the forest and this seemed like that but oddly different. Her voice shaken a bit, relived, she sighed. “Y-yeah i-i-I know t-that…” she said stopping mid sentence then looked at his handsome features again.
“Sorry Dax.” She whispered nervously as a sheepish smiled crept on her maw. Ryku suddenly felt his muzzle against hers and just by the touch she was soothed. His body heat was closer as he pressed against her own. Ryku smiled not shaking as bad got up and laid next to him. The ebony femme’s side was as close as she could be without making it uncomfortable for the two. Then the onyx fae dropped her head to her paws and leaned it a little toward Dax. His touch was reassuring to her and relaxed her. It was quiet and it was nice though she waited for a response from the sweet Mann. the heat between the two was calming the she-varg down as her ears pinned back down on her head. The black coat of Ryku mixed with the colors of Dax's and made a grey black color when put together. Her mood was changing to more of a happy one as she gazed at him. "So Dax found any lucky fae's?" she asked him smiling sweetly though she secretly hoped not though if he did she hoped it was her. Ryku lifted her head to look at the Mann and gave him a quick wink as her left ear stayed pinned and the other came up.

Dax eyed Ryku, following her golden line of sight with his own cerulean one until eye contact was made and then missed; he wondered what possibly could have been drawing such attention to his forehead and the result was a major crumpling of his ego. Was there a noticeable scar now, breaking apart the fur? Damn hound, he muttered silently to himself. Bowing his head, the dragga's ears only returned to their position as black-tipped twin zeniths atop his brow when the fae's teasing voice was followed by a short series of sweet licks; frankly he had forgotten about the ordeal as it only accounted for a few minutes of their original meeting (which was pure happenstance). Again she spoke, and Dax took the opportunity to smile coyly and sidle up alongside Ryku, purposely attempting to create a sense of discomfort. ”I wouldn't dream of it,” he growled lowly. While all of this was well planned, he had no idea what he was doing when it came to the obvious flirtation he was attempting, though he let that thought slide away.
At Ryku's abashed apology, Dax only smiled as if he knew the secrets behind some great and arcane mystery and allowed her to press against him; he, too, was cold and the she-wolf's company was not one he would pointedly avoid. Guilt was an angry pang as that second fae flashed across his mind's eye and he shook the thought from his mind. He definitely wanted to see Capella again, but it wasn't fair to Ryku and honestly he wasn't completely sure of any solid feeling for either one of the femmes; all he truly knew was that he enjoyed both of their company and would have no reason not to in the future.
With her question, it seemed that Ryku had read his very thoughts and he started mentally and looked down to see the onyx drappa smiling charmingly up at him and he had absolutely no answer for her. ”Uh, um,” he stammered, feeling both the heat of embarrassment and the angry stick of a stutter coming on. ”I-I s-suppose I've run into a c-c-couple, but t-to be honest I'm th-the lucky one.” He pinned his ears and turned his gaze away, pressing against Ryku as he did so. She was definitely one of the “lucky faes” as she so nicely put it, but feelings weren't a strong point to the dragga and with two different drappas eating at his thought process, he didn't really want to reveal anything to her yet.

The fae smiled at him when she stopped gently licking his scare and watched his facial features when he slid up to her and smiled. Ryku felt discomfort for a minute then a thought struck her. Trying to see how he would respond the ebon femme allowed the contact. The onyx fae nuzzled his neck and brought her head back up. Of course the drappa was only playing with the dragga. Her amber eyes watched his anxiously to see how he would respond to her actions. The skies clearing she smiled happily and her tail brushed against the earth. Something in her mind rang through her head. Ryku hadn’t told Dax about her new home. She had forgotten all about that! The memory flickered through her head as the faces of Mist, Dakota Spirit, Chalose, and Koiji blew through her rushed mind.
Ryku looked back at Dax then her golden hues bolted back to the sky seeing the rain lighting up and the thunder had stopped bashing around in the heavens. Fenris must be smiling upon them this day as His amber rays peeked through the clouds tearing them apart to shine down on the Lera and Varg. Ryku looked back at Dax and smiled coyly. “Hey, Dax?” she asked her voice soft and happy. “I went to Deor when we parted the other day.” The ebon fae purred watching the Mann.
Ryku watched him as he tried to find the words stuttering. Her amber eyes sparkled and they seemed to smile gently at him. “Dax calm down I’m just playing with you.” Her voice was joking as she nudged his muzzle. Her smiled reflected her mood which was calm. She had stopped shaking all together as the lightning stopped flashing. The only thing that was still in the sky was rain falling from the sky but only on half of the land. Ryku then saw a rainbow over the waterfall and lake. It glimmered and the colors of the rainbow mixed and stood by each other high in the beautiful sky. Ryku stared up at it with admiration at it then nudged Dax. “Oh Dax, look in the sky!” her voice was higher as her back raised and her hackles rose from the sudden stiffness in her legs. Ryku lay back down carefully trying not to fall on Dax again. The femme stared out at the beautiful sky. Tor must be smiling upon the two Varg. The rain was sparkling as Fenris' rays beamed on them. Blue was showing between the clouds and Ryku felt comfort and happieness as she sat next to the handsome Dax Ehzno. Her amber eyes lingered on him for a few more moments then flickered back to the outside world infront of them. Lera were coming out hesitatly then cam out all the way. The rabbits hopped around happily foreging for food.
Ryku black hue color was weighed down mostly by water still. Her undercoat was clinging to the water as her skin was to her body. The onyx fae's pelt rippled as she sat up on her haunches realizing how dirty the body of her coat had gotten. Ryku needed to take a bath when she gets to the lake. The dirt was grabbing onto her fur and this made her pelt feel dirty (if there was another word for the feleling i had in mind). Fenris' ray peeked through the hollowed out tree creating sunshine on thier pelts. Her golden hues flashed back to Dax. trying to think of something to talk about she let out a hefty sigh. "So, Dax where are you planning on going after this?" she asked searching for words that would form a question. Though she did like his company he probable had better places to be than spending them with herself. After feeling sure that she would pull away from his brushing flank, Dax didn't expect the shock of surprise as she not only allowed him to keep contact, she sweetly nuzzled the thick fur of his neck and he felt his fur stand on end- not his hackles, exactly, but sort of an electric twist that ruffled up his hoary pelt like a shivering bird. Tentatively he brushed his lengthy, broad muzzle across her ebon ears, a smile curling his lips. He lowered his head to see her golden eyes, uncertainty flickering through his gaze. With a roar within his head as there was a an unexpected recognition of silence from the outside the den, he turned his head away from Ryku and perked his ears, listening hard for any more skyward grumbles. Out of the corner of his vision he caught the onyx drappa turning her own attention to the still slightly overcast firmament, and then return her attention to his grizzled self. As she beckoned verbally for him to heed her words, he made a ort of hmmm? growl and smiled to her. At her excited statement, Dax could only grin and wag his tail.
”That's great; I plan on joining Deor soon myself. Do you like it so far?” In all truth he was going to travel to Deor shortly with Capella, but he felt it would be better to hold this information to himself. Still, he was glad to know that all three would be initiated into the same packlands; hopefully the trio could all be friends (he was still rather naïve in regards to female jealously and the horrendous consequences of it).
Ryku let him play off his stutter and for that he was grateful; he gave her a sheepish smile and nodded at her reassuring words. Letting his gaze wander back out the mouth of the hollow tree, he caught what Ryku was trying to get him to look at, and the sight made him smile broadly. The rainbow, nothing more than refracted light, was pale and nearly limpid but still begging Fenris for a chance to offer the Vargs emotional relief from the storm. Its bowed figure seemed to be confined to the distant waterfall; its colors were vague but just behind it Dax could have sworn he saw a secondary rainbow making an appearance. Looking back at Ryku, he grinned. ”Are there two, or is it just me?”

Ryku smiled happily at Dax and then turned her head to look at him. Then her ears were being touched and Ryku felt the calming touch of Dax's muzzle against them. The black-pelted fae then looked out into the silent world and saw the beautiful glimmering of the shinning vegitation that sparkled as Fenris' light beamed upon them. Ryku's amber hues stared in amazment at the beauty outside at the beautiful shinning as the Lera hesitantly came out of their dens, The roaring waters had also stopped due to the howling wind's voice ceasing. The silence was soothing to the onyx fae and the company of Dax with her also calmed her down. The images of Koiji when the two were pups flashed through her head.
When Ryku was just a pup she had gone off on her own and meant Koiji. Thats when the two decided to go off on a hunt then there was the blind crazed wolf that they meant. Ryku faced her fear of water that day when she pluged into the freezinf liquid. Now she will dive into water that calm enough at least. Then she had another run-in with Koiji but that was also with Silve and Abyss. they had offard her first meal in two weeks and with that Ryku was greatful. those two were also very kind to her as a pup and now Koiji and Silve are one of her friends. Ryku though was shy meeting Varg after her run-in with Dustwind. Dustwind was as mean as the Drappa of Sarnes (well relitivly speaking that is). She wouldn't let Ryku go without tearing up her stomach. The scares were still healing and the skin irritated on her belly. Ryku was kin to keep the scratches from opening again so she was always careful these days.
The ebon femme broke out of her transe by the voice of Dax. "Yes it is wonderful there. Mist and Chalos are very kind and so are Dakota Spirit and Koiji. Though Koiji is one of my very best friends since we were cubs." she said smiling remembering the old times they had together. Then there was Ayame who she had meant at the waterfall and lake on a cool spring night. Ryku had stood up to Ayame and almost got her head ripped off. Thanks to the Dragga of List howling for role call Ayame left and Ryku was safe. The ebony Varg smiled innocently at Dax. "Oh Dax you would love it there. Please join as soon as you can, it won't be any fun without you." the ebony femme's voice was soft and excited as she turned to look at him the images of her past washing away in her mind. "Just you." she answered then looked back and saw a second one faintly. "Or two." her voice was a little embaressed but shrugged it off.
Ryku black hue color was weighed down mostly by water still. Her undercoat was clinging to the water as her skin was to her body. Ryku had a sort of faraway look glazing over the normal intensity of her eyes; though they were normally pools of pure amber a gauzy sheen had blanketed them. Dax was careful not to disturb her obviously weighty thoughts as he shifted, his own mind drawing the shades. It had only been a full moon or so since he had found his way into Transylvania's southern end, and while he had kept to himself more than he probably should have and began establishing relationships and alliances, he had managed to only befriend a handful of drappas and a single dragga. Initially he had encountered Semmorra, whom he had given lessons in hunting, and not long after that he had run into first Capella and then Ryku; shortly thereafter, while exploring the northern mountain range, he had befriended Arthfael and the less likable Snowflame (admittedly, she was young, but she was incredibly foolish and on several occasions Dax had resisted the urge to cuff her out of sheer irritation. Still, all in all the wolves were pleasant).
Another grand thing that had happened to him was that he had chosen a pack, Deor, and had even had the luckto come across its pregnant Drappa, Mist, while in the meadowland with Capella. She had ressured them both that they would be welcomed warmly, and even offered to speak on their behalf. Though being around Mist had created a serious anxiety that had caused him to have bout upon bout of stuttering in the Drappa's presence, Capella had been a soothing sort of companion. The thought of the femme brought a smile to his lips and they curled gleefully, and although he wished that she and Ryku and himself would likely make a very dynamic duo, if either of them had any feelings for him in return he would be hard-pressed to choose between the two. A crookedness tainted the edge of the smile; in all honesty he really wasn't sure if either of them truly liked him at all but the thought made his ears pin.
Slowly seeping back into the starkness of reality just in time to catch Ryku's voice and he nodded, though the latter two names were foreign to him, and he only knew of Chalos, he hadn't actually had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with him. ”I've met Mist once before, in the meadow- she offered to speak on my behalf to Chalos.” Her words had left Dax feeling utterly grateful; he understood that Chalos wasn't her mate but Daxton was no good with Draggas and it had greatly put him at ease. He almost slipped back into thought when Ryku spoke again, her words causing him to flush with embarrassment. ”Oh, I'll sure you'll manage until I get there,” he answered slowly, another Dax-esque smile creasing his long muzzle. Ryku pushed herself up beside him and he angled his head to look at her as she did so, always ready to watch and ever-curious about the black-pelted fae. At her question he thought about falsifying the answer but decided it would be rather fruitless to do so; still, he didn't want to offend her- actually, he liked her quite a bit- but didn't want her under a false impression.
”I'm actually going to meet a friend of mine late today or tomorrow,” he began, choosy with his words. ”And then we're going to go to Deor, I believe, unless the storm kicks in again. Perhaps you could meet us there?”

As Ryku’s eyes were glazed over with a glassy look she also remembered the time when she meant Shadow. That black and white fae was a thrill to have around and Koran was lucky to have her as a apprentice healer. The onyx fae herself never really considered being a healer though Dax had motioned something about it at the darkened forest just outside of the waterfall and lake. A few nights ago she had recently seen the warrior of Koran, Varloc. He was nice for a varg of his age. Then there was Takhi. That ebon varg was one of her best friends though she belonged to Sarnes. Takhi was different from the other wolves from Sarnes. She seemed calmer and kinder than the others had. Ryku like to have Takhi’s company for she was a great friend who would listen and always had great advice for you. And there was the deceased whom were her friends. An ebony Mann that had grabbed her heart when he defended her in the meadow when she had gotten hit with a hunter’s arrow. He went by the name of Roscuro. The amber hued cub was so sweet and his adopted sister Della was nice also. Alice their adopted mother was very kind though she had never really meant her. What she had heard though she was a kind mother and had recently gotten a mate, Tourniquet, Ryku recalled his name from a rumor she heard.
When rumors would spread Ryku stayed away from them never starting or spreading them. Ryku slide past memories from her pack life for she had been treated cruelly by her mother, father, and brothers. The only family she had left was her white hued sister with a blue butterfly on her hindquarters. Naturally she was beautiful as could be and Ryku would never be able to be compared to her sister without a whole lot of criticism. Then there was Sammora the fae she had come upon when she meant Karise. They had become good friends with each other as they offered Ryku a place to sleep that night. Silverwren was another fae she meant along the way coming into Transylvania. Havoc was a white wolf she had meant as a pup. He was particularly twisted the way Ryku saw it though he was looking to join either the Balkar or the List packs.
Ryku’s eyes glazed back over and moved in their eye sockets and looked through the corner of her eyes at Dax and smiled coyly. The ebon femme noticed that he pinned his ears back. Ryku didn’t know if it was something she said or did but she felt a little guilty about something. In return her own ears pinned back against her head though she forced a smile upon her maw. The onyx drappa was affected by the emotions of the varg around her. Usually if the majority is happy she would be happy or if the majority were sad she would be sad. “Oh really?” she asked not really surprised by Mist’s generosity though. “Did you know her and Dakota are expecting pups?” she asked now excited. Her tail started to wag and brushed against his flank. The black-pelted she-wolf was pondering if she should wait to go back to Deor and go with Dax or go instead and give Mist a warning that he would be coming soon. “Oh maybe, I guess so.” Ryku said pretending to be disappointed and doing a very good job at it actually.
Her amber eyes traced up to the proud dragga’s face as she heard his voice ring through her head. “Oh that would be wonderful! I bet me and your friend would get along wonderfully!” the ebon femme exclaimed happily. Ryku didn’t know why but she felt drawn to the dragga and found him surprisingly handsome though. Flaming eyes lingered on his face for a few moments and seeing that he was looking out she realized she was staring at him. Heat crept up to her face and she felt embarrassment in her eyes. Ryku looked down at her paws and focused on her ankles gazing at the bangles that shinned.

OOC: SO, SO SORRY. Really. I'll be better next post. At the bit about the Deor Drappa expecting Dax grinned broadly and nodded, his own tail wagging furiously. ”Yes, she looks to be close to term. I mean, I'm no fae, so I wouldn't really know-” He chuckled before continuing, ”-But from my experience, once Spring comes around, it's usually less than a moon before the majority of whelping happens.” The name of her obvious mate, Dakota, was linked only because Mist had said “my Dak”, and it was a very slow process for him to do so, as dax and Dakota didn't even sound alike. Still, he was glad that Ryku was already on good terms with Vargs from Deor; perhaps she could introduce him and it would be much easier for him to establish bonds that way. At Ryku's answer to his tease, he whined at her disappointment, not realizing it was fake. ”I was only kidding,” he spoke nervously. ”I'll probably be there in the next day or two.”
Dax grinned but inwardly knew that they might not. ”I hope so; she's a very pleasant Varg. I'm sure the two of you will have loads to talk about,” While that was stretching it, he was allowed to hope, wasn't he?

Ryku hoped that Dax would establish a good friendship bond with Koiji or at least some kind of friendship. The black-pelted she-varg didn’t want to have friends fighting with each other. On the outside of the compact tree-den birds were chirping happily celebrating the nice weather. “Yes she does look that. I hope everything goes ok, Mist was one of the first Varg I meant.” She spoke softly remembering it though she didn’t let her amber eyes glaze over again. Instead she kept her eyes on Dax’s handsome face. His features were like that of a proud dragga and his muzzle was as handsome like one. The ebon femme smiled sweetly.
Ryku let out a snicker as Dax thought she was being serious. She nudged him playfully laughing. “Oh Dax I was only kidding!” the she-wolf laughed unable to contain her laughter. Her amber eyes watched him curiously as she realized that she was staring she looked away and let her eyes slide to look at him for a minute through the corner of her eye. A cord then was struck in her mind. They hadn’t known anything about each other. The ebony drappa snickered and turned her gold hues back to him. “Do you realize we know nothing about each other?” the onyx femme chuckled at the though and smiled. Though she knew he was no harm to her she was still curios about his past life. Now if he asked about hers that might be a little hard to explain being deprived of everything her pack was supposed to give her. Though she loved most of her family she wandered off and found Koiji.
She had also remembered Nio too. The sweet orange cub was very nice and she loved to hear his stories about Ge-Rad. He was always a great story teller and he even hoped that he would be a story teller. That was until he had died that night. The hunters had gotten to him and now he was dead. If only Ryku had been there he might be alive though she would be dead. That would have been better than having a pup die in her place.
Ryku had gotten along with others easily though it took a few moments before she was completely comfortable. The ebon femme did think that his friend and she could be friends. A smile crept across her face happily. “Yes I very well hope so.” She said staring back outside watching the Lera and the water calming running how it is really supposed to. Ryku wasn’t very sure if she would get along with his friend but she could hope. The fae strayed away from the thought and began to remember her old friends. The black-pelted femme couldn’t wait to get to see Koiji and everyone else again.

The previously dim insides of the makeshift den had brightened considerably as Fenris swelled and blinked, sending blithe little streams of golden rays. They collided with Ryku's bracelets and with her amber eyes, making them seen even more radiant and as he glanced as her, he smiled, enjoying looking into them for the moment. ”I'm sure she'll be fine. Drappas are never weak, and I doubt that she would have undertaken the responsibility of whelping and raising a litter if she knew or thought she couldn't handle it.” Dax was unaware that she had had a previous litter; in all actuality he knew almost nothing about his future pack and the thought made him even more nervous about when he would be actually initiated, if he would at all.
Daxton gave her a sheepish smile; he had it coming, for he had been teasing the ebony femme since they first met. Her mirthful laughter was light, and his smile spread into a grin. She truly was an attractive wolf and he flicked his tail at her haunches. When he realized she was correct, however, he acquired a more serious look, tilting his head and directing his cerulean gaze in her direction.”That's true,” he said with a small smile. Always one to give his own story first (not so much out of glee, but so that the other would be able to feel more open), he began his very short tale, starting first with the basics and then branching out. ”My name is Daxton Ehzno; I was born a little ways from Transylvania in the Mato pack, whose hiearchy began with my Dragga Chayton and my Drappa Kele. My mother's name was Kaori; she was very small as drappas go, and my father's name was Tiergan. He was gone more than he was around, mainly with the Dragga- he was both the Beta and Chayton's best friend.” He stopped for a moment, thinking of other things- nothing was really important, but he wanted to hear her side too, and he felt that if he didn't expose his own history, she might not either (and his curiosity was beginning to kill him). ”I grew up the second eldest with several siblings. My family was rather tight-knit. I left because I got in a fight with the Dragga's son, my best friend, and instead of submitting, I left to make my own life. And so I found myself here,” he said with a crooked smile. ”Not that I mind, I've been lucky enough to run into several wonderful Vargs.” He winked at her then, and nudged her obsidian shoulder. ”What about you?”

ooc: sorry for the long wait,..
As Dax spoke Ryku let a wide grin creep upon her maw. She was happy he wasn’t one of those sexist draggas who always though males were tougher. “Indeed, I have meant a pup from her previous litter.” Her voice was soft full of admiration remembering the time she had meant Della and Delilah at the waterfall and lake. Her golden hues wondered about the makeshift den as the dark clouds retreated.
Ryku had suddenly realized they had been teasing each other since they had meant. As Dax grinned sheepishly she snickered softer and lighter at the handsome Mann. The black-pelted she-wolfs face turned softer as he spoke more serious now. She listened intently and didn’t miss a detail. As his voice faded she smiled at him as her amber orbs stared at his features. The ebon fae’s ears pricked when she heard him begin again, ‘What about you?’ he asked her. Ryku chuckled a bit and thought if he shared his it was only fair to share hers. “Well I’m Ryku; I used to live in the Snowfire Pack. I’m daughter to Mooncrest the Drappa and Betia the Dragga. When I was a cub I was deprived of the necessities such as food, warmth in the winter, and so on.”
The images flashed through her head for she hadn’t spoken of her past for many years. “At about one moon old or maybe even younger I wondered out of the packs sight afraid of what my father might do to me when he figured out that I had worked my way into a meal that was meant for my brothers and sister.” Her brothers died the day she left and her sister Kirara was wondering about somewhere else. “My only living blood family is my sister Kirara.” Her voice was gentle on her name and wasn’t speaking as harshly of her as she had done her mother and father.
Ryku didn’t want to keep dragging on about her past but there was one more detail that she wanted him to know. “When I wondered out I meant Koiji. She was very kind to me and offered to help me get more food. So when we were walking in the woods we came upon a blood crazed wolf that was just….” The she-varg couldn’t quite find the right word for varg like him. “Crazy.” She finally said. “He drove me into this river though I managed to survive. Me and Koiji got out and I have never really feared water like I had once before.” She said recalling the time she fell into the cold river waters. Her golden orbs were staring at her bangles then they shot back up to Dax.
“Anymore about you?”[/b][/i]
