The wind flashed by sending another gist of cold air into the face of a she-varg. The ebony drappa shook her head sternly and then opened her eyes. She had just come in time to the old black cave. The rain had just started to pour down madly from the sky. The onyx fae bolted for the damp cave as Fenris through down his wrath and let lightning strike the ground behind the varg. The femme reached the cave just in time when another blast of lighting struck the entrance to the opening. A blast of thunder rang through the cave and the ebony fae jumped. Her amber eyes were wrenched with worry as her golden bangles rested on her front right paw and her left back paw. The femme retreated to the back of the cave when lighting bolted down from the sky and struck again. Drips of rain fell from the ceiling and made the most annoying sound. This onyx black she-varg goes by the name of Ryku. The fae looked up to the ceiling of the wet area and a drop of water fell on her muzzle. She shook her muzzle rapidly for a few seconds trying to get rid of the tickling sensation that stuck itself upon her nose. Ryku let a tired yawn escape her maw and rested her head on her paws. Suddenly she pricked her ears up and started to scent the air her amber orbs searching around.
Ryku had scented the fresh smell of blood. It covered her nostrils as she lifted her body off the ground and let the smell carry her away from the back of the dark dank area to the opening of the cave. The scent grew stronger and as it did the rain grew softer as the she-wolf strayed outside. To the east of the cave was the sweet smell of crimson blood. Ryku turned her head to the east and began to prowl off hungrily. It seemed like she had been dragging on aimlessly for days without a meal but now that she found one life was good again. The ebony femme could hear the flies surrounding the carcass getting all the sugar it could from it. The clouds started to hurl balls of thunder down at the Lera angrily. Her amber eyes locked onto a dead Herla. The femme walked to it hesitantly and scented the dead animal first. It seemed ok so she opened her huge jaws around the leg and shank her white fangs into the flesh.
She carried the carcass back to the cave dragging it along the cold ground. Half way there the rain picked up enforcing the fae to quicken her pace. When she got to the cave she pulled it into the back of the cave and started to pull at the dead flesh. The sweet smell of blood covered her scent vision. Her huge maw clutched the daggling meat in her mouth and then dropped it hearing something from outside. Ryku dipped her head walking around the carcass and dipped her head in defense of the meal. Rumbles erupted from her chest and rippled out of her maw showing her fangs. The onyx she-wolf snarled and lifted her tail high and her head stayed to the ground still growling. She wasn’t about to give up this meal.

ooc: I hope you don't mind me joining. O: I will be using Varloc in the way before he has met Kai or Dakota. n.n And I'm sorry for the lack of quality. I feel like its a little disorganized, but I'm okay with it.
The darkening sky had put a damper on the male’s mood. It seemed he would go without a decent hideaway for the night and would also suffer the anger and wrath of the Gods. The upcoming storm was unwelcomed, as far as he was concerned. He would become soaked and everything would cling to his coat. He’d be caked in dirt and mud and whatever else laid on the ground and he’d a complete and utter mess. He could already feel the mud seeping between his paws and the horrible feeling of caked dirt upon his coat. He shuddered unhappily, narrowing his dark eyes at the sky. Could he not gain any reprieve from the hardships of life for just a moment? Anything. A decent meal. A warm den for the evening. Anything.
The wind had picked up, bringing the heavy sent of damp earth to his nose. Despite his bumbling irritation towards the weather, he did enjoy the scent that storms brought. The sound of rain, when he had decent protection from the weather, was relaxing. And nothing could beat a fresh pool of rain water to quench one’s thirst. He paused for a moment, shaking his coat to free himself from the weariness that was starting to weigh heavily on him. He took the moment to study the bottom of his paws, his pads where callused, far past the point of bleeding. He had been traveling long and hard for years had taken its toll on them.
The faint scent of blood reached him, drawing him quickly from his thoughts. For a moment, he was slightly concerned, was he injured? Had he not noticed? He quickly checked his legs over and found he was harboring no wounds that needed his attention. The second thought that drifted across his mind was the idea of an injured animal brought a soft grumble from his stomach. He picked up the pace again, wanting to seek out the source. If it was a chance for a meal, then he would without a doubt take it. He managed to find the original resting spot of the kill, but to his disappoint, it was empty. With his nose to the ground, he trailed the blood, wondering curiously if it had been an injured animal, resting and then roused by his approach.
The rain had begun and forced him to squint his eyes against the downpour. It also made traking difficult, however, he had gone far enough to spy through the rain a formation of sorts. At first, he could not make it out and then, to his amazement he realized it was a cave. He wanted to cry out and thank the Gods for the gift and rushed forwards, the idea of a meal vanishing entirely from his mind. However, he was drawn suddenly to a stop by a deep rumbling sound. It was not the thunder and he was positive it was not his stomach, crying out to him. He registered the sound quickly and stepped back a pace, readying himself for an attack. The darkness of the cave and the rain made it difficult for him to make out the creature within, but he placed the growl as canine.
Sighing softly to himself, he prayed dearly to the Gods that it was a friendly creature for he wished dearly to be out of the rain. Deciding to give it a shot, he called out over the rain and thunder. “Greetings! I mean not to intrude. I wish only to get out of the rain. I mean you no harm, stranger.

A voice rang through the cave as her head lifted and snarls ceased. The scent that drifted in was of Koran. It could be Shadow wolf for all the black-pelted fae knew. Her excited tail swept the cold cave floor as she smiled sweetly as the stranger. The fae saw a clearer figure and smiled. “Oh I’m sorry come on in and get out of the rain.” She spoke softly not wanting to drive the stranger away. “By the way I’m Ryku.” She added as her tail dropped down inviting the other varg inside. A new varg whether good or bad Ryku was glad to have company in this dreary weather though there were relaxing parts to a storm. The calm sound of rain hitting the ground and then flashes of lightning creating light, though the gods were either angry or whatever they must think that it is beautiful and relaxing like the onyx drappa thought. If only it could be nice enough to travel. She would mush like to get back to her cave at the waterfall and lake. The black-pelted drappa was on her way to Deor when the storm hit so the femme got caught in it.
As Ryku’s eyes were glazed over with a glassy look she also remembered the time when she meant Shadow. That black and white fae was a thrill to have around and Koran was lucky to have her as a apprentice healer. The onyx fae herself never really considered being a healer though Dax had motioned something about it at the darkened forest just outside of the waterfall and lake. Then there was Takhi. That ebon varg was one of her best friends though she belonged to Sarnes. Takhi was different from the other wolves from Sarnes. She seemed calmer and kinder than the others had. Ryku like to have Takhi’s company for she was a great friend who would listen and always had great advice for you. And there was the deceased whom were her friends. An ebony Mann that had grabbed her heart when he defended her in the meadow when she had gotten hit with a hunter’s arrow. He went by the name of Roscuro. The amber hued cub was so sweet and his adopted sister Della was nice also. Alice their adopted mother was very kind though she had never really meant her. What she had heard though she was a kind mother and had recently gotten a mate, Tourniquet, Ryku recalled his name from a rumor she heard.
When rumors would spread Ryku stayed away from them never starting or spreading them. Ryku slide past memories from her pack life for she had been treated cruelly by her mother, father, and brothers. The only family she had left was her white hued sister with a blue butterfly on her hindquarters. Naturally she was beautiful as could be and Ryku would never be able to be compared to her sister without a whole lot of criticism. Then there was Sammora the fae she had come upon when she meant Karise. They had become good friends with each other as they offered Ryku a place to sleep that night. Silverwren was another fae she meant along the way coming into Transylvania. Havoc was a white wolf she had meant as a pup. He was particularly twisted the way Ryku saw it though he was looking to join either the Balkar or the List packs.

ooc: So sorry for the delay. x__X Varloc the NobleVarloc smiled softly, stepping back away from the cave to give himself a shake, sending a shower of water from his coat, though it made little difference. The rain was still falling and he was getting wet no matter what he did. However, he had thought it polite to try to rid himself of the water so as not to accidently get the female wet. Realizing the foolishness of his attempt, he offered an embarrassed smile, dark eyes blinking several times against the falling rain. Truly, he looked rather silly, like a soaked rat, but he held himself with pride, nonetheless. He gave a slight thankful bow to the female as he skirted past her and into the darkness of the cave.
It was pleasant within the confines of the cave and he settled himself comfortably against one of the side walls. He made a half-hearted attempt to groom his coat, but it was no use. He would have to wait until it was dryer, which, as he eyed the entrance of the cave, would be a while. The rain did not look to be letting up any time soon. With a soft sign he returned his dark gaze to the female that had allowed him entrance. ”Ryku” he repeated, his deep voice rumbling from his chest like the thunder outside the cave. He gave a slight nod, storing the name and her face within his memory. He gave a sudden start, his ears flicking back against his head. ”Forgive me. I am Varloc. He paused, his face becoming thoughtful. “Tell me, Ryku. Why are you here alone? Surely you have a pack that is concerned about your well being.
Although it wasn’t any of his business, he attempted to make some sort of conversation. To help ease whatever tension there might be with his presence there. True, he was a stranger and nothing more than a kerl, but he was a respectable one. He was a gentleman and if he could, he would avoid making others uncomfortable. And if she so much as appeared uncomfortable with him there, he would slip away from the cave. He would not bring such discomfort to another if he could help it.

The shiny back she-wolf watched them from behind the trees nervously. Wanting to talk but was to afraid they might be mean to her, though she had not had much contact with wolves for awhile and had no shelter or home she just watched them. She felt jellous of the cave they had and sat behind the trees as the cold wind whiped her harshly. She sighed and wanted to leave and not torture herself like this but she could not bare leaving her one chance of shelter. So she waited.
