[glow=black,5,000][You know what, this is quick. Shuddap - I hate first post. I posted short so we can get on with the RP faster, Lucilu.]
A crisp freshness brightened the Deor morning. Winter had slowly but surely dwindled to an end and everywhere young green, white, and pink buds peeked from tree stems. On others, leaves grew small and lush, finally adding touches of green to the dull, brown, woodland canopy. All over the ground, grass sprouted clean and new, moss began to carpet the more moist areas and young flowers made traveling throughout Deor a lovely stroll. Spring had sprung within the packlands and throughout Transylvania.
But it was hard for a wolf to enjoy the virgin landscape when he was alone. The grass was comfortable, soft, and warm.. Warmth; the oversized, rust-and-onyx male had been awaiting the gentle touch of sunlight without snow since... well, since the winter snows had begun. The alpha of Deor lay lonely and bored, pitying himself as he usually tended to do when solitary.
Chalos sighed, laying his head with a mumble upon his crossed paws. There was simply no reason to examine the loveliness of Spring without a mate to share it with.. or at least a friend.[/glow]

The forest glimmered, Deor was a beautiful place to live, especially during spring when life was breathed back into the forest territory. The pack seemed to have small spurts of liveliness every now and again, and Lucivar was sure that today would be no different.
Luci loved the spring, it was time season that she had been born into, the season that seemed right for birth and new life, for it was in spring that was appropriate for such things, and the day was just so amazingly lovely. Flower sprouting here and there, the tri-hued fae was following a trail of little white daisies in the soft moss, which was a welcome feeling to pads that were tired of the icy touch of snow.
She was turning five soon, a perfect age, and supposed to be some of the most glorious. If things had gone her mother’s way Lucivar would have a mate by now, but she was as of the moment, unspoken for. Though she had her icy eyes on a certain Dragga, she refused to make the first move as was tradition for the male to do so. However, she was getting rather impatient with Chalos, and beginning to think that perhaps, just maybe he didn’t return her feelings. Not that she’d shown him, but there had been many times when she was jealous of Cairo, especially back at the pack hunt, and the day she’d heard that Cairo liked him too.
In fact, Chalos was the one thing that could make this beautiful sunny day just so much more enjoyable. Her slender figure drifted, almost as if she were floating, beside the trail of daisies, when she caught sight of that one particular thing, or rather Varg, that would make her day. As her gaze turned to him, her body didn’t think to stop, and as such she soon found herself yipping with surprise as she suddenly tripped over a large tree-root that she would’ve seen had she not been ogling the Dragga.
Know that he must’ve seen her trip and fall, Luci simply sat, embarrassed and stunned all at once, her mind reprimanding her for not watching where she was headed, but at the same time thanking the Gods for the fact that she’d even seen Chalos at all.

[glow=black,5,000]The bear-like varg leapt to his feet, hackles doubling his size and pulling his black lips back to reveal razor-sharp fangs. A deep growl began to thunder out from his abyssal throat, but when his emerald gaze settled upon Lucivar, Chalos ceased the sound immediately. His lengthy tassel pulled between his legs and he lowered his ears, turning his head way in an embarassed fashion. "I-I'm sorry! Please, I didn't know it was you.."
Lately, he felt a constant need to apologise, for who had he ever had to fight? Chalos had always given apologies, never threats. His alpha ways were beginning to hide, simply because the need to protect his pack had not yet come. As a result, Chalos often found himself stumbling over his words. Now, as he faced the she-wolf whom he had had his eye on since first sight, the Deor packleader fumbled more than ever with his voice, sounding like an adolescent Mann speaking to a young blossoming Faemme.
He avoided looking at Lucivar, for he knew they were 'just friends.' The behemoth thought of himself as beastly... why should anyone else think differently?

With a short grunt Lucivar picked herself up, slowly to assess whether or not she might be damaged in some way shape or form, but it hadn’t been a hard fall, just a big surprise, so she was perfectly okay, maybe a bit soar from landing on her side, but fine nonetheless.
“N-no, no! Don’t apologize!” she said, slightly worried by the fact that he wasn’t looking at her, “I didn’t mean to make such a raucous- I’m sorry that I scared you, I wasn’t paying attention… I was… daydreaming.” She explained herself, hastily at first, but she slowed and she finished. Her audits twitched and she again took in his form.
He was a very handsome Varg, he was large and muscular and could very easily be described as bear-like. He was gentle and kind, and those were the qualities that she liked best. It didn’t matter that he was her Dragga, she was sure that if they’d met under different circumstances she would still be as madly in love with him as ever. However, as she took in his figure - muscles, colors, those beautiful eyes - she noticed that he wasn’t standing very alpha-like. She thought for but a moment but dipped her muzzle, showing her respect, and holding her position -as best she could- below his.
Thick creamy plume swaying back and forth she stepped forward and smiled brightly. “Actually, I’m glad that I have crossed your path. I had just been thinking of you as I was walking.”

[glow=black,5,000]At her revelation, the Dragga raised his head, lifted his tail, assumed a more.. dominant appearance. "..Really?" He whispered quietly, watching her with intense occuli of jade. "I.. I was hoping you were here instead of Loneliness." The behemoth confessed, suddenly feeling rather hot. He wished that a breeze would blow and whisk the sudden increase in temperature from his flesh. Finally, he could stand her lovely gaze no longer and lowered his eyes, shy. "I, um.. I've missed you." Chalos mumbled, almost inaudibly. Her words had strengthened him - her voice alone could work wonders upon the mateless wolf.
But why was he alone? A wolf so gentle and a wolf so kind should have been able to attract a many mate by now. When he was young, a she-wolf of exotic beauty had teased him and teased him, only to lure him into a human village and, well, leave him to find his own way out among the dogs, the mounted humans, the labyrinth of spears as they sliced through the air, too close for comfort. Since then, Chalos had been afraid; he feared love, feared being tricked, feared letting his heart go. He trusted Lucivar, though, and constantly assured himself - she would never break him as his first lust had attempted.
Shy and curious, the godlike Dragga brushed his nose against Lucivar's neckfur, caressing her scent, her taste, her softness with his maw. Clearly, she was the one for him. Banner raised high, Chalos smiled gently and stepped towards a particularly lovely path, flowers adorning its flanks. "Fancy a stroll, Luci?" He inquired, eyes hopeful.[/glow]

“I’ve missed you as well, I’m sorry that I was gone - for so long.” Lucivar held back a shiver as he nuzzled the thick ruffle of fur on her neck, though spring had come her winter pelt was still quite thick, and at his touch her heart began to flutter in her chest - plume wagging slightly faster.
In response to his second posed question she nudged him affectionately, and at his hopeful gaze her eyes twinkled brightly. “I’d love to take a walk with you.” she said her face lit with bliss, and her gentlest smile upon her face, she only wore this particular smile when around Chalos, but since he’d never seen her when he wasn’t there, he wouldn’t very well know that.
After answering him she gave a short laugh and pranced forward to stand at one side of the trail, then looked over her shoulder, and then, she answered his first question, rather cryptically. “Really.” And she gave a short nod at her answer, black tipped audits pricking forward as her lips parted in a sort of grin, her left forepaw was raised in a classic feminine pose as she waited for Chalos to catch up, and when he would she would begin to walk by his side, as she wished so dearly would be more than as friends and pack mates.
Sun shimmered across the ground and her pelt through the buds and tiny leaves that were blooming and growing as a small breeze shook the branches and ruffled the pelts of the two wolves. Though Lucivar was dainty and small, she had long and slender legs to make up for most of the height difference - in other words she could be described as lanky.

[glow=black,5,000][SHORT BUT I DON'T CARE]
The enormous male started off with a rather prancing gait, though he had to slow himself down - his legs were long, despite his bulk, and the result was a flowing, majestic movement that covered an enormous amount of ground with minimal effort. So he simply hopped alongside Lucivar like a horse held back. The two went along together for a while, Chalos shivering with excitement and the she-wolf walking next to him.
After many more metres, the duo came to a part of Deor where the trees seemed to open up and the grass grew soft and lush in a long expanse of narrow clearing. The Dragga's muscles quivered with anticipation - he wanted to run, wanted to feel his tongue lolling out and the sinew of his legs stretching and contracting. He turned to Lucivar, hoping. "Shall we?"
Today seemed to be a day of inquiries and questions.[/glow]

Lucivar let her gaze carry down the path and into the narrow opening where sun bleached the grass the speckled light of the forest was stripped to leave only the beauty of Fenris’ gaze to warm the path. Her eyes then carried over to her companion, who’d just asked her yet another question, just, not the one she’d been hoping for. With a smile and in a tone of such playful arrogance she said, “Let’s just see if you can keep up.”
With a light-hearted laugh and a single sweep of her tail, Lucivar took only a single step before her body launched forward and her creamy paws met the lush green grass, which was impossibly soft she wanted to just lay down and roll and be a pup again. For a moment she was taken back to her pup hood. When her brothers and her had played tag at the same dens where BT had commit the most heinous of crimes when it came to wolves. And she remembered rolling with her siblings in the grass, it’s roots stained red from the past.
She glanced over her shoulder to see if Chalos was following.

[Isn't this just the most retina-burning colour ever? -snigger-]
With a great yip, the snow-rumped male surged forwards in an enormous leap, his body suddenly rippled with sinew that had for too long been either idle or only gently used. Now, a new strength found him, as of an eagle learning to fly again. He let loose, suddenly, with a loud and liberated howl, one that he had waited his entire life to sing - that of love, of a mate and a family finally found. The turf kicked up under his hinds as he took off, shooting towards she who claimed his infatuation, Lucivar.
His speed was ungodly, his gait smooth and flowing, gentle but stong. Within seconds he had rushed passed Luciver, looking back at her with teasing eyes of glimmering emerald. Chalos seemed a pup again himself! Then again, he never did get much of a chance to run and play when in his youth.. He could have cried tears of joy at having that chance at last - that is, if he had not housed so much pride. He hadn't run like this in months, possibly years, for a wolf ran its fastest when either frightened out of their wits or obnoxiously elated. For the bearsized Dragga, it was the latter that gave power to his legs. His heart felt as though it might burst, for it was beating with excitement he had never before felt. Chalos slid to a stop before hurrying into a run as his love passed, cantering up next to Lucivar and nipping her playfully upon the neck.
For once, it was good to be alive.

Indeed he had followed, and he was a lot faster than she had previously thought. His size made one think that he wasn’t so quick and graceful, of course Lucivar looked graceful and quick, and though she was both she was also quite clumsy. Usually tripping over her own four paws. She chuckled at the shine in his eyes, she’d yet to see such a playful side of Chalos, it made her quite happy though, to see him running around and enjoying himself.
Adjusting her running posture, Lucivar tipped her audits back, kicking her speed into high gear, though a sprint never lasted very long, she easily caught up to slow her pace as he pranced next to her, bumping him with her shoulder as he nipped at the ruff of deep brown fur on her neck.
Her pink tongue lolled from her parted lips as she drew in variegated breaths, slow then long, in effort to cool her body down. Wolves didn’t have sweat glands as humans do after all.
Audits pricking forward she slowed her pace again, sifting from a run to a jog then to delicate steps. Her gaze traveled to the heavens as blue birds sang and flew above the two Varg’s heads. “It’s so beautiful here in the spring, reminds me of how Deor looked when I first came.”
