The day was not as hot as always. The sun high but it felt as if the varg stood in shade, even though you stood under the sun. What made it cool was the breeze that swished back and forth over the land. The wind passed over the river pulling the coolness of the water and throwing out over the land. It had hit the pack territories most. It wasn't cold because of the sun, but not hot. It was a nice day for talking or relaxing. It seemed as if most of the pack was doing so.
The young female cub was named Sandhya, it was her real name but most people called her Shadow. Sandhya meant black, dusk, and of course Shadow in indian tounge. Her main color of her pelt was shiny black. The area around her eyes white and around her nose. Her front feet were white making it seem as if she wore socks. The toes of her back feet white, and the tip of her tail. She was adored by all who saw her. She had a very cute, sweet, and gentle face.
The warm grass felt good under the exploring vargs feet. Her soft pads getting he supprt they needed to keep them like this. The breeze blew her fur around. Her fur was a little messy if you took time to notice. She shuddered occaisually from the wind. She enjoyed the day though, very calm and serene to the varg. Her nose filled with the scent of all around the land, it made it a little hard to stay in the pack bounderies, but she had a strong and sensitive nose. So she was able to keep track of where she was.
Her head sweeping slowly from side to side taking in the beauty. The beautiful green stood out, almost making it overwhelming to a varg that took her suroundings in as she did. The rocks around the uncleared path she took were covered in soft moss. Everything was coated in moss. She never failed to notice the beauty of the single world-stopping to be engulfed fom the beauty of each leaf, each tree.
She was curious about everything so she made sure each thing that she passed had been seen. She gained much helpful knowledge- knowledge that could someday save her life. Having such knowledge that she gained from observing, she watched the adult varg, and soon started to talk maturely. Her head held high she walked along the beautiful path being amazed each time more came into view.
She was very proud to be part of the life of Transalvania. She didn't belive there could be any better place to be. She wondered if the other planets had such life as the varg of Transalvania does. She had a small discussion of it in her head while she trotted along. Her dainty little body seemed to not even touch the ground but just float over it. She could have passed for a spirit by now.
After going a long ways on the path she came to an opening perfect for play. She decided she would save the rest of exploring for tomorrow. A wide grin stretched across her face as she bounded over to it. "This is a perfect place to play!" she shouted excitedly into the empty air around her. The dry tan grass swooshed around, back and forth. She jumped through it into the opening. Her now tired legs fell and she rolled over in the grass that cushioned her fall. She had meant to fall over so she was fine.
She rolled onto her pack and giggled. A tear of happiness came to her eye. She couldn't belive how great her life had become. She was so happy now that if she thought of her parents she only thought of the good times and no longer their death. She smile and looked up to the clouds. She heard a shuffle of the grass near her. She shot up and looked to where she had heard it. It was just a small chipmunck. She laughed quietly to herself for being afraid of that.
At the sound of her laugh it darted off and into a small hole. She wondered why they were so careful and afraid, she wondered what had might of made them have to be cautious. She couldn't think of anything. Maybe it was just their nature to fear these things. She looked around and layed back down in the soft grass. She daydreamed of her possible future, She smiled at this. She continued to daydream. She had given up on listening for anything new. She decided she should sleep here tonight. It was very concealed and comfortable to her. She layed her head on her paws as she daydreamed waiting for sleep.
