It was a sunny day with just a hint of the winter still lingering in the breeze. Yawning off last night's sleep, Vienna stretched out her red paws in front of her. Then, in turn, she stretched out both of her back paws too. She was thrilled that she had finally had found her self a place to live at with pack members to care for. But the best of all she was the Nurse, Lucivar's, apprentice! What an important job, to be the one who is responsible in helping your pack mates. "But probably won't ever be as good as Lucivar," she barked to no one in particular. This is going to be great! she sighed sadly, I just hope that everyone here exempts me.
A cold, but soothing breeze, combed through Vienna's fur, causing her to shiver. After another big yawn, Vienna shifted her paws uneasily and neatly curled her fluffy tail around them. Eyes drooping, she thought back to the time when her old Nurse, who had taken on the role as storyteller too, had used to tell her stories of Tor and Fenris. As a child she had always loved when her old Nurse had told her stories. In her dreams, Vienna had always wanted to be a storyteller so she could pass down the stories she was taught. But she had grown fascinated by the Nurse's job in the pack and yearned to do that in helping other wolves instead of harming them.
Then her dream swirled into the time when she had saw a baby bird lying on the forest floor and she just knew she had to help it. Grinning, Vienna chuckled lightly to her self for doing so. It had been hard to climb up that tree, but at least the bird had been in its nest still.
Her dream twisted and turned as her life had before, until it got to the memory of the avalanche. The day her Nurse/storyteller had died along with the rest of her pack…..She remembered the hunger that she had felt during that time. Then when the pack had finally caught a Lera they had howled, but Vienna calmed she had howled the longest and the loudest, which caused the snow to fall, and bared then all. Only she, Vienna, had survived. Being scared, for the second time in her life, caused Vienna to awake from her dream. Her eyes snapped open suddenly, and she whined, “I will never forget that.”
After standing up and stretching again, Vienna said, “I just can’t wait to learn about being a Nurse from my mentor. Maybe then I can prevent deaths and then I would feel so guiltily that I was the cause of my packs deaths.” She sighed and lay down to wait.
