Semmorra was practing her leaping by running at a tree and jumping off of it, her claws srit-scratching the tree. Her toungue lolled out of her mouth in exhaustion, she had been doing this for hours. As the midday sun rose higher, growing hotter, she finally stopped and fell upon her haunches. The trees sparkled with the light that surrounded her, the wind playfully tickling her auds. She was content to lay there and breathe in the musky scent of the dirt, ancient, old, and comforting. ** After a while, she rose to her paws and padded along in search of water, her thirst increasing driving her towards it. She followed the sound of water, of frogs, her auburn pelt in strange contrast to the brown and green of her surroundings. Finally finding her quarry, she lapped feverishly at the cool, stream, sating her dire thirst. Semmorra sat there, mesmerized by the beauty and simplicity of the litte brook, that happily gurgled like a newborn. Little ripples made their way here and there as fish swam by, their scales shining into her golden eyes.
The sun pulsed down its soothing rays upon her pelt, making it an even brighter red, save for her right paw, which happened to be black all the way up to her shoulder. She panted lazily, until she heard noises in the brush. Warily, she scented the air, and realized that another varg was coming her way. Semmorra stayed where she was, not knowing whether to run or investigate. "Who's there?" she called bravely...hoping her voice wouldnt betray her.

The young female Varg hurried through the bushes towards the basking sun and refreshing stream. Her pal grey pelt glistened in the glorious sun shine.
Snowflame loved it when it was sunny, for then she could just relax and forget...
The sun was beating down on the running Varg cub, and she began to sweat. She rested briefly, watching trees shine like they were covered in silver, and a bird lazily fly on the little wind.
The she-cub stretched, showing her healthy looking gums and little white teeth. She was getting thirstier by the minute, so she continued on towards a stream.
Snowflame was nearly at the stream when she heard a voice say, "Who's there?"
Snowflame paused, nervously lifting her muzzle to sniff the clear air. She could smell a Varg by the stream. Curiousity got the better of Snowflame, and she answered, " My name is Snowflame. I only come to drink f-from the stream," she faltered slightly, wondering if she should just go somewhere else. She desperately wondered whether this Varg would be friendly. There was only one way to find out.

Semmorra smiled slightly, after she realized there was no theat. " Then come and drink peacefully, my friend." she called, her banner waving. Semmorra still stood in the center of light, warming her pelt, her golden eyes however scanning the brush, waiting for the fae she heard to come.
She flexed her paws, crunching on the dirt beneath them, the little twigs snapping against her pressure.
The air hummed pleasantly around her so Semmorra began to softly sing a tune her father taught her. The lullaby calmed her, furthmore.
Semmorra waited for the varg to come, realizing she had been rude in not introducing herself. "My name is Semmorra"she called, "I am a Kerl, but fear not, i am no danger to a friend." she said.
The brush was silent in response, so she lay down and lifted her head proudly, staring into the brush. Waiting...........

Snowflame was relieved to hear the Drappa reply, and she took a step forward. She paused. This could be a trap Snowflame mused, trying to make up her young mind.
Then just as Snowflame was about to make up her mind, she heard the Drappa speak again, saying that her name was Semmorra and that she was a Kerl. Snowflame felt a bit frightened, she had heard tales of Kerls, who had either chosen to leave their pack or had been 'kicked out'. She shuddered, then decided.
Snowflame proudly lifted her banner and trotted out of the bushes, her pale grey pelt catching the sun and making t shimmer. Her keen blue eyes noticed the cool delicious stream water and her throat seemed to become drier. She glanced cautiously at the Drappa, her head raised proudly. Snowflame immediatly liked the look of her, and smiled warmly at the Kerl before lapping up the water with gusto.
She filled her empty belly with water, and yawned and stretched. She tentatively walked over to the wolf, and said in a barely audible voice, " Thank you for letting me drink, Semmorra" remembering her name. She panted in the heat and lay down near the Drappa, hoping that this was the start of a friendship.

Semmorra could scent the cautiousness of the little fae as she lay near Semmorra, but still trusting. This made her smile, she remembered what it felt to be trusting of a varg much older than ones self. "Tell me little one, what are you doing wandering here in these woods?" she asked kindly, her eyes peering at the young fae.
She noticed the fae's graye pelt, and how it glowed white in the patch of sunlight. Semmorra listened her muzzle slightly and breathed deeply, the rich musky scents of the earth filling her scents. The fae near her still seemed uneasy, so she bagan humming the same tune her father taught her softly sounding the words out.. "Wauna, lou favre, iahiata matdre ya. gwia ve, wahayow, mei son nomita, tamasite no wa."
She hoped this would calm the young varg...

Snowflame listened as the Varg hummed out a tune. It made Snowflame feel more calm, and she rested her head wearily onto her paws.
Her eyelids began to droop and she was lulled by the soft sound of the humming of the Drappa. Snowflame knew that she could trust this Varg, and opened an eye to study her secretly.
She looks brave, braver than me, thought Snowflame, closing her eye. The sun made her feel even more drowsy, and the young Varg soon fell sound asleep...

Semmorra heard when the young varg fell asleep, the silvery white fae's soft breathing, ever so gently puffing up the dirt into little plumes. She watched her sleep for sometime, then her thoughts brought her back to the present. What am i going to do? I tire of this Kerl life, i long for...security, to belong. These thoughts plagued her as she continued to brood. She growled softly in distress, looking once more at the fae, wherefore the sun had shifted and now shone directly upon the cub. Snowflame, as she was called, her coat glittering white in the sun, shifted once in her sleep.
Semmorra wondered as to what the varg could be doing so young and alone, and in these woods for matter. She shook her head, worry for the young clear in her golden eyes. This reminded her too much of her own past, and it was too much, of everything. She knew the pain of what it meant to be a Kerl, to be alone, and to be mistrusted so easily simply of what you were. So now she thought of....nothing...... Semmorra cleared her mind, and rest her weary head upon her paws, her auds slightly twitching in response to every sound. Sighing heavily, she closed her eyes and tried to sleep, with the trees swishing and swaying in their green aviary bliss.

Snowflame awoke slowly and blinked as Fenris shone right into her eyes. She growled and quickly faced away from the rays, and noticed that Semmorra had her eyes closed, so she was probably asleep. Snowflame stretched and reflected that they were both lonely.
A bird screeched loudly and Snowflame watched as it flew into the air directly above her...and pooed!
It landed straight on the cub's pale head, and she snarled angrily. The bird's deposit drippled down her head like an egg and into her eyes. Snowflame howled angrily and cursed the wretched bird.
After a while of agony, Snowflame went to the stream and dunked her head in, and tried to rub it off on some grass. Finally, much to her relief, it came off and she settled down to rest...

Semmorra jumped to her paws almost immediately, her heart pounding in her ears. She had woken to the sound of the varg yelping and howling, and acting on instinct, she snarled visciously through bleary eyes. She blinked several times, the cloud finally releasing its hold on her eyes, and saw the pup shaking her head furiously, bird waste, clinging defiantly upon her maw.
This surprised Semmorra so much, she laughed so hard she couldnt breath. She lay down and watched as the young varg tried washing it away in the stream. The forlorn pup trotted back next to her mumbling something that Semmorra couldnt quite understand but sounding like she was cursing the bird. She chuckled underneath her breath, that was too funny. "So tell me Snowflame...what are you doing out here by yourself?" she asked.

Snowflame's pelt glistened as she turned to face the Drappa, whose kind face smiled down at her. The young fae paused, thinking carefully, not wanting to admit the real reason, then lied, " My pack...went hunting and i...um....got l..lost and I...um....came here to drink."
She knew the Drappa was to clever to take that as a reason, but the thought of what had happened still haunted the young Varg and the thought of her dead family caused something to stir in he pit of her stomach.
She blinked away the tears and turned her pale head away from the she-wolf, not wanting her to see the sorrow on her young face.
Eventually she faced the fae and looked into her eyes, and wondered what it would be like to have a family again...

Semmorra looked down kindly upon the young fae, seeing the hurt clear upon her maw. She growled softly, and nuzzled the cub on her head. She knew something was up. "So tell me whats really wrong, brave cub." she said, amusement twinkling in her eyes. The warm wind blew softly through her red pelt, and tickled her sensitive auds.
She looked straight at the pup, her golden eyes inquiring and concerned. The trees seemed to loom over them, but then she dismissed this as a mere thought. She knew that the cub was in distress, it just only a matter of getting it out of the young cub.

Snowflame glanced down at the ground and licked her paws, trying to avoid answering the question. Fear bubbled inside of her, but that was replaced by hope. This fae would understand.
" My family was killed, and only me and my brother escaped," she finally growled quietly. The shadows of the trees hung over them like a cloud. " My brother is gone!" she finally admitted, her small pale grey muzzle faced to the sky. Fenris snarled down at them.
Finally, Snowflame succumed to her emotions and buried her muzzle into the fae's soft pelt, and drifted off to sleep.

Semmorra knew that a far deeper reason had troubled the young fae, and finally, when Snowflame admitted her problem, the poor cub was so distraught she fell asleep against her.
She decide to help Snowflame find her brother, while the poor cub lay sleeping still, she got up to take a quick drink and then lay back down next to the cub, as Fenris seemed to pass by overhead.
The birds twilled rather noisily within their hovels, but amazingly, Semmorra was able to find peace and rest, breathing the rich scents the water carried along with it. She would tell the fae her offer when they woke...

Snowflame's nightmare woke her up with a jolt. In the back of her mind, the horror on her family's faces as they were killed still haunted the young fae. She blinked several times as Fenris nearly blinded her, and turned to face the Drappa.
Snowflame studied the Varg through half closed eyes, peering at her pelt and at her proud face. Snowflame sighed quietly and tried to push her nightmare into the back of her mind. The shadow of the trees gave her an eerie feeling, but it was beautiful and sunny, and she should enjoy this warm day, no matter how many nightmare's she got.
Eventually, thirst got the better of her and she padded slowly over to the cool stream, and drank hungrily. It was good.
Snowflame's eyes shone with happiness as she splashed into the stream and cooled herself off. Finally she got wearily out and shook herself off, then settled next to her new friend.

Semmorra growled softly, amusement showing clearly in her eyes. And then, ever so slowly, reached over and gently nipped one of Snowflame's ears, and immediatly whipped her head forward and acted innocent. Her bushy tail gave away her feigned innocence, as it was swishing against the grass.
Semmorra stood up, and waiting for the cub to stand up with her, she asked her serious question.
"Snowflame, would you like to search for your brother?" she asked."I'd be glad to help out a friend." she said, her tail waving. She now waited, for she did not know how the she-wolf would respond in kind to this.
