Bent Time lay in the warm sunlight of Fenris. She silently thanked him for the beautiful day as she contentedly laid in the greening grass. Most beautiful of all were the butterflies and ladybugs and all the singing birds that fluttered about on this beautiful day.
A light breeze rippled across one of the clearings of the Deor territory. It danced with the tree branches and blooming blossoms, played with the fur upon the Nurse’s body, flirted with the greening grass, and helped the birds and bugs in their flying. In all the peace and beauty it was hard to think that this was a dying pack. B.T. half frowned just thinking about all the vargs that used to come and talk everyday. She remembered the good days when there was always three to four wolves around to enjoy each other’s company. She saw the past when they all had something to be happy about. However now it seemed to B.T. that it wasn’t very happy at all. Sure, they could rejoice the coming of a new leader, he seemed kind and fit for the task, but she hadn’t herself met him.
B.T. shrugged away the feelings of sorrow and a fresh birdsong came to her ears, though she was getting a little lonely on this Spring Fever day. She decided to wait until a varg of Deor arrived to keep her company. She smiled to herself, secretly she knew that Deor would be back and alive soon. Soon they would be able to be strong and alive with wolves from every part of this earth. Secretly she knew that someday this would be true. Someday this pack would be great. “In due time, you will be great.” she whispered to the wind and sun, to the birds and bugs, and to anyone who could hear her. “That I can promise.”

Another of the Deor was enjoying the rather calm, relaxing rays of the unusually sunny day. The proud new Dragga, an unfamiliar face, though anyone who even glanced within his eyes would know that he was determined to lead the pack to greatness. On this particular day, however, he would take the chance to rest among the territory. A lazy smile lay over his expression, though his steps were energetic, care-free.
Ears perked as Chalos spotted the seemingly gentle nurse with whom he had yet to become acquainted, and he allowed a deep, bellowing bark of a guttural, tenor tone to issue from his maw as his muscled legs carried him to her in quick, natural strides. The varg's pelt was one of beauty; deepest of obsidian, tainted only by flecks of brown shades varying from dark chocolate to rust around his muzzle, hind legs, and the tips of the lengthy strands upon his tail. As he neared the nurse, his lithe body was caught in a burst of sunlight that revealed a muscled form under the agile bodice.
"Excuse me.. I don't believe that we've yet met. The nurse, I assume?" Chalos lowered his head in respect for B.T., an abnormal action for any dragga to make - it would always be the lower ranks that would bow to the dragga, never reverse. This was an interesting thing, for the wolf always believed in treating others with respect - this, perhaps, was the reason that he was chosen to replace the loving leaders of the Deor pack. "Chalos Autumn, I'm the new dragga. A pleasure to finally become acquainted with one of my own." His words were followed with a gentle smile and a lick to B.T.'s maw, though his tail remained raised as it should be, as if to make sure the nurse knew of his rank.
The large male raised his head a moment, ears raising once more as he listened for any sign of another before he dropped to lay beside B.T., for he had decided to enjoy the day with the old nurse, perhaps learn about the pack that he lead, making a new friend while he was at it. "You know, it doesn't seem right for the nurse to be lounging about on her own - does something trouble you?"

Rain walked outside of the Deor pack den, and smiled as she felt the warm sun shining on her face. She looked around the Deor lands, and saw B.T. and another wolf, who she started wondering could be the new Dragga of the pack. She layed down in the shade of a tree, and watched silently all the surroundings in the territory. Spring had finally come, and Rain was more than happy to see it here at last. After what seemed like an extremely long winter.

B.T.'s tail sifted through the grass in a low wag, her muzzle dipped gracefully, showing her respect, kissing the greening ground cover. She smiled lightly to Chalos. "That is correct, I am the nurse of this pack. My name is B.T. And it is indeed a great honor to meet the new dragga of my home." As Chalos Autumn settled beside her B.T. glanced around the wonderful clearing, her gray optics met the form of Rain, and she smiled softly to the shadows around her.
Her blind seeming optical sensors then came to rest upon Chalos for the second time. She felt the breeze cross her silvery pelt— caked with black and white. Her audio sensors pivoted, listening to the thee branches crackle. "No, I was just reminiscing. Besides, what better a day to lounge about then one as beautiful as this?" B.T. inquired, her voice soft and melodious as the wind, but still auditable.
Slowly her paws crossed in front of her, and head tilted elegantly to the side. Her unusually long tail still swayed with the grass, she was already enjoying the company of Chalos— and the hidden company of Rain. So much so that she had almost forgotten about the troubled past of the pack… almost.

Chalos sent a gentle grin towards Rain, tilting his head and beckoning her to join them. As he cuddled up against B.T., hoping that she wasn't too touchy, the alpha looked about the land, feeling a growing comfort - suddenly the land was not so unfamiliar to him. Deep green eyes looked about with a curiousity equal to that of a suspicious pup, and Chalos's gaze soon returned to the younger Rain before he stretched out in the warming sunlight, waiting for the femme to accept his invitation to join B.T. and himself.
"Come, come. There's room for all." The Dragga crooned, and this time it seemed as if his words were simply slipping right off of his tongue and blending with the day - this was how he spoke when he was thoroughly enjoying life. "B.T., would it bother you if I summoned the pack? I believe that everyone should be here to witness the beauty of this fine day, and I believe it would bring a sense of unity within the pack if we all got together - wouldn't you agree?"
The rather large Dragga let out a groan as he heaved himself up into a sitting position, yawning before a spark of energy suddenly shot through him. His tail began to wag, as if suddenly hyperactive, and Chalos began to sharpen his teeth upon a nearby stick, unable to find anything else to do. Ears perked, oculars studied the land around him for a mere moment, and he nipped B.T. almost affectionately as he awaited her response to his inquiries.
[Sorry, mates. Writer's block..]

Bent Time smiled and shook her head. "Not at all, Chalos. If fact, I find that that is a wonderful idea. Calling the pack together will make it easier for you to meet them anyway." she gave him another smile, he was already - excuse the old saying - growing on her, even a little joyful that he could be the dragga - this made her feel a little bad for she had also loved Aztec and Thunder as a brother and sister as well as leaders.
She glanced to Rain, her dark form still, apparently, in the shadows as she herself was relaxing. She hoped that Rain would join them, as it would make for good start with the gathering. Shortly after the glance and her answer she fondly pawed at his muzzle in mock annoyance, and gave a half-laugh, half-exhale.
While she waited for something to be said from both Rain and/or Chalos she scratched at a truely annoying itch just behind her ear and sat up as well, the grass beneath her russled and slowly started to raise to half it's old height. She licked her nose and smiled lightly turning her head slightly to meet the breeze.
((I have a never ending supply of inspiration for I have a baby kitten in my lap. ^^ And I don't mind if you get writers block, it happens to the best of us - yes, that includes me and my inspiration.))

Rain looked towards where B.T. and the new Dragga had been, and noticed Chalos inviting her to join them. She stood up from where she had been sitting in the shade, and slowly made her way over towards where B.T. and Chalos were sitting or laying.
Rain felt an urge come over her to meet the new Dragga of the pack. She knew she would miss Aztec and Thunder because they had adopted her into the pack when she was still a small pup. As, she came closer to the area with the two other wolves she padded a bit faster.
"Hello! Nice day isn't it." she said looking towards both B.T and Chalos. A small smile crossed her face, and she sat down after she had joined the small group.

Chalos smiled gently as Rain finally made her way over, nodding to B.T. as she spoke to him at the same time. He seemed to be quite eager to meet the members of his newly inherited pack, and a gathering was something that he simply could not resist. The alpha stood, his muscles easily lifting his body as if weightless, and his elegant stride allowed him to glide a few yards away from Rain and B.T. so that he could send a howl into the air, hoping to alert the rest of the pack within the territory that he wished to meet them.
The Dragga's head lifted slowly into the air, hackles along the backside of his neck rising - the excitement of eliciting a howl that would ring throughout the entire Deor territory was overwhelming. Time seemed to lag as his muscled jaw opened, returning to normal speed once a booming noise shot from his throat. The howl pierced the otherwise silent day (save for various bird twitters), echoing through the land and rising higher on the air every second until it was almost caressing the clouds abouve.
As his song hushed, Chalos finally lowered his proud head, emerald eyes staring intently about him. His paws carried him back to Rain and B.T., and he lay down before them, yawning and awaiting whomever had heard to join the small group.
[This post is just wretched. I'm sorry. I'm just trying to post more to keep everyone going.. I've been neglecting Deor far too long and it makes me feel terrible for it. However, I've developed a case of writer's block, it seems..]

Bent Time closed her eyes as she listened to the call. She always loved to hear her brethren calling to one another, she also drew pleasure from joining in. velvety audits twitched as Chalos's call faded, no doubt it had carried over the land.
When the last note had indeed fallen, and plenty of time passed, B.T.'s gray optics opened again, she gazed out toward any wooded area where there might be a fellow member found. But alas, so far none had come to the call.
B.T. half heartedly frowned, she had been expecting more of a reaction from the once glorious, though always small, pack of Deor. What of the times with Thunder and Aztec? What would they think now? "I wounder where they could all be...?" she asked gently, her voice clearly showing her disappoint ment.
((I guess no one heard the call yet. I was trying to let the others post.))

Rain laid her head down upon her paws, and listened to Chalos's call. She watched in the distance to see if anyone else would join the small group. She hadn't seen the other members of the pack in so long, and had began to want to see them all once again.
As time went on, and it seemed that none of the other pack members would come, she simply let her head sink lower. She wondered why no one was answering the call.
Rain looked up into the sky, and then turned back to watch for another to come joining this little group.

Despite the fact that none had yet come to his call, Chalos was happy to at least be with Rain and B.T. He didn't care at the time that none had come, and a small worry wiggled its way into his mind - what if this was Deor's population? The young Dragga shook his head; if he had to lead a pack of two femmes, so be it.
"..Are you sure that you two aren't the remains of Deor?" Chalos inquired, mostly out of curiosity. Then, with a shrug, the large male made his way closer to B.T. and Rain, dropping to the ground just between them. "It's alright that none have come.. This pack seems to be dwindling, but I'm sure we can stay strong, right?" The great Dragga smiled a most gentle smile, shifting his form to become more comfortable.
Somewhere in the distance, a bear roared, immediately followed by the screech of an animal that was obviously the great creature's unfortunate prey. The alpha tensed at hearing this, pressing against BT and growling deeply, though he hushed as he realised that the bear was rather far away - too far away to be a thread. Relaxing, the Deor Dragga laid his head atop B.T.'s back, licking her gently.
Turning to Rain, Chalos smiled down at her, his too-long tail wagging gently. "Are either of you familiar with the members of this pack? Perhaps, if there are members that are missing, we can search for them?"
Ooc: [Wow, extreme writer's block. I couldn't think, so I added filler, can you tell? ;)]

“I am familiar with all the older members. Crimson is still here, though he’s a little, handicapped and has trouble with seeing. Mist has to be around here somewhere, and I don’t know about Falter or Dyaisa. I haven’t seen any of Aztec’s pups, I’m hoping that they haven’t been through the worst…” B.T.’s voice faded as she spoke of the pups that she took care of.
She shook her head lightly. “I’m sure that we are the remains… I’m almost positive that the others aren’t coming back… This is a most unfortunate time for a Dragga I’m sure. Especially one without a mate.” she scented the air, praying for some sign that a member or five was arriving.
Bent Time felt awful. The pack was once so alive, but it had never been as good as the others. None had stayed for nearly as long as she and Luna had. Without Luna she was the last member to ever have known the very first Dragga of the pack. She whined tenderly, comforted by Chalos and Rain, but still deeply saddened.
“We’ve never been the best,” she said softly, snuggling against what she could of Chalos. She rested her head on her paws, the pack was dying, this she had to face. But where would she go if they had to give up the territory? What would she do? She couldn’t just join another pack. This was her home, her family. She couldn’t let it die.
