Though he watched over his packmates... his family... Inside he was still hurting... His mate had passed on... and he just felt alone... Though in his heart for all eternity... she was gone... He sighed, watching the still pool water with his blind eyes. He would be turning 4 soon, in his minds eye, he saw his reflection... and hers next to him, though if anyone looked into the water, it would just be him...
"Luna..." he whimpered softly, his ears back, eye lids closing over white burnt orbs, as he exhaled painfully "I... still miss you my love... It still hurts... though I know you wouldn't want me to feel this way... I can't help it... " He opened his eyes to see her once more in the reflection in his minds eye. Staring at him, whispering "I will always love you dear Crimson" Then slowly her reflection turned, and padded back into the sun's reflection, disappearing as the pool began to ripple.
A single tear ran down his furred cheek, as he lifted his head to give his missed mate a loving, yet pained howl.
Lowering his form to the earth, head resting to his paws. He closed his eyes, remembering all they had been through, memories he held tight, resting with her after he had been taken... falling off the waterfall... and best of all... first meeting her... A soft smile rose as he remembered the first nuzzle and lick...
He layed there... lost in happier times...

A solemn sillouette cascaded down into the pack lands of Deor. The shadow had a moonlight pelt of silvering sparkles and eyes of a pure azure. The sorrow-filled cry had attracted her attention, she yearned to seek the one who sung this painful melody knowing that at this time all he needed was comfort. As far as she knew she was alone, not haunted by the familiar pattering of her sister's footsteps. Moon Crypt felt the need to explore a little more of the Transylvanian valley that she calls her home. Her nose twitched with the malcontent she held for foreign smells however, as her nostrils palpated in the swift breeze, the scents which flew at her weren't strong. Her eyes scanned the Deor terrain and found nothing but emptiness, it was a dying land and she could only sense a few survivors of this once grand legacy.
She continued on her lone trek to only find a heap of fur collapsed in front of a shimmering pool. She quietly padded up to his body his face holding a peaceful dream... peaceful dreams.. that was something that occured in Moon Crypts sleep all to often, she disliked this feeling of a past life unknown to her but MC would not let it interfere with her place in Deor today.
The femora padded to the pool and lapped up some of the refreshing elixer her auditories of pale sterling twitching to any sounds reverberating around her, once finished she licked her chops to savor the cool taste and sat on her haunches awaiting for the male to awake.

Several hours passed, the blind male slowly opened his lids, revealing white blind eyes. A dream he did not wish to wake up from, of much happier times. But he felt a presence near him, not threatening, but still, he felt he needed to be awake. His nose flared, smelling the unfamiliar scents of the fem. He looked to her direction, moonlight glistening off his sightless eyes.
"who... are you?" he growled, questioning, but not in a threatening manner. "I have never sensed you before..."
His ears flexed slightly, sitting up, joints giving off cracks from laying for such a long time. His fur shimmered a dull gray and white. The depression of losing his mate causing him to lose care for his own health. Thin, his ribs visible through his chest, fur matted in places. The reason's for him to be away from the pack since he lost her.
But one thing kept going through his mind as he sat there, next to the unfamiliar female... If she had not come by... he would have passed on in his sleep and never would have seen Luna again...

Tranquility oddly mantled over the female, something that did not often occur within this devil of a wolf. However keeping a vigilant eye upon the wolf of grey and white whom awoke from his dreams of sweet intoxication rather plunged her persona into a sinking depression. Squinting her cerulean eyes she noticed the male was blind, his eyes a stainless white that pierced her mind in which a most familiar feeling crashed into her like a tumbling wave. Blindness... the past life of which she had no recollection of lived in complete darkness, Zephyr had been born without sight her world plagued with an eternity of black. She rattled her mane of silver to regain a strict concentration upon the now speaking varg. He had asked her name... and in a polite response she answered.
"I am Moon Crypt..." her voice was hushed and focused upon him.
A hidden respect for this pained wolf spiked her heart of ruthless hatred... she could never let her siblings know... As Crimson rose to a sitting position his breathing enphisized his skeletal rib cage, "You are hungry... are you not?" she asked once again in a voice not her own. Quietly she approached him knowing in her mind he could not hurt her to badly for he was scrawny and weak obviously not himself, "Let me help you..." she whispered her face still holding its apathetic expression. Not only he was in need of rescue.

He looked to the ground, lids closing once more for a few moments
"since the humans took my sight away... I haven't been able to hunt..."
He was hungry, he was sick... both in spirit and physical form... his ears layed back, thinking to himself that he was a useless member, one who couldn't even hunt properly. He lowered his maw to the cool water, lapping up the crystal droplets, refreshing as it was it could never cure his hunger. He stood up, and stretched, front end dropping to release the pressure and knots within his muscles and bones along his back, as he did so the scar from the humans trap exposed itself upon his left hind leg. Once more he sat to the earth, sighing as he watched the water, hoping his sight would return one day.
"What... brought you here...?"

Silently she watched Crimson, listening intently to what he had to say his words drowning in sorrow as he spoke. She understood that he could not hunt after all it seemed that he hadn't been blind since birth so he may not be accustom to using his other senses in placement of such a loss.
"I was lured here by the sounds of sorrow that washed over the Deor plains. It attracted my attention" she tilted her head as her ear flinched from a bug bite.
Her gaze left the mann and encompassed the surroundings that he lived in. So barren it was... the Dragga was no where in sight. Moon Crypt gave a gruff snort and stood up to approach him. Spilling her sapphire soul into his white eyes she spoke.
"Come with me... Leave your old land for there is nothing here but death for you. Let me feed you and offer you shelter. " she elegantly bowed her muzzle to the Deor floor in hopes he would accept her offer, after all what better way to recover from such a death then to leave the place of its origin.

Careful yet agitated pawsteps sounded as, finally, the Dragga found his way towards Moon Crypt and Crimson. He had not seen either of the two varg before, but the male reeked of Deor and the she-varg was obviously a stranger. Chalos allowed an aggressive growl to rumble in his chest as his emerald oculars narrowed dangerously towards Moon Crypt, and black lips pulled back as a snarl sounded, "I don't see how filth such as yourself can even dare to venture into such a place. Everyone, even the Balkar, know that we are a dying pack - who are you to strut into my lands and try to further dwindle the Deor population?"
It was quite obvious that the Dragga was furious, for he had enough trouble just keeping the pack together - he didn't need any more problems. With only three members, the Deor pack was not even a pack any more, but a small group without enough power to defend themselves. Chalos's eyes locked upon Crimson, and for the first time since he had approached, he was curious. This one had not come when the Dragga had called many suns ago, and upon further inspection the alpha realised that the other was blind. "Don't you know your whereabouts?" He crooned, nudging the mourning varg, "I have heard of you.. And I am sorry, but nothing can bring your mate back. You're better off if you dismiss her - happiness is only temporary. You ought to know that better than all of us.."
The young leader's voice rolled gently off of his tongue in a comforting manner, tone rich and soothing as he drew closer to Crimson, glancing towards Moon Crypt every few seconds. He felt terrible that the mann was so starved, that he had not taken care of his pack well enough to keep an eye on the blind wolf. "What can I do?" The Deor Dragga's ears pinned back against his head, for he was still trying to get the hang of leading such a small, dying pack. Sage orbs stared helplessly towards Moon Crypt, hoping that the femme would at least help the young alpha find his way through such an unexpected obstacle.
"I feel like.. I am failing.. I don't know what to do anymore.." He whined, staring towards the ground, head lowering shamefully. Chalos knew that the Sarnes femme was obviously strong and healthy, and he hadn't the power to feed the pack and keep them alive himself. To provide for his pack without help from its members was almost insane - packmembers always helped each other.. Did this mean that Deor was no longer a pack? It was obvious that the Dragga was depressed, and, not knowing what else to do, he lowered his head further as his body sank to the ground.

He clenched his lids shut, blind eyes closed. Thoughts ran through his head, the pack had watched over him, his deceased mate trusted them with her life, and so did he... But when the humans took him, no one came when he called... when they took burning stakes to his eyes, no one heard his cries of pain, it was he who stumbled away from the village to find his mate once more...
He sighed and lapped up the water once more, letting the cool refreshing liquid roll down his parched throat. "I am Deor... though blind... I promised my mate... That I would watch over these lands... I cannot break that promise... For she is still with me..." He looked in the direction, from where the scent and the familiar voice of his alpha, though young and in experienced, was caring... "I have been here... I heard you call... but I cannot guide myself... and no one heard my call... " he closed his eyes "I do not feel I am able to be part of a pack anymore..." arching his head to look to the ground "Blind... starved... mourning... What possible use can I have toward keeping your pack alive...?"

The agressive growl stired in the pits of her fine tuned auditories grasping her attention away from the sightless mann. A snap of her silver muzzle indicated Moon Crypt's distaste for the intruder, her hackles bristled with anticipation of a fight, would he lunge at her? No he didn't instead he spoke in a harsh resonating snarl that talked of her filth dwindling the Deor pack's population. Her gleaming sensors of azure glow narrowed in displeasure. Who was he to come down on her? It was obvious he was the pack lands Dragga, standing rather protectively of what members he had.
Once again she found herself standing quitely as an observer as Chalos Autumn approached the blind eyes cooing his words of captivation around the weak bodice of crimson. A gruff snort shot out from the femme at this sight, her temper being fueled with nearly every note spilling from Chalos's maw. Not being able to take her silence anymore she spoke up.
"Varg of Deor i had no intention on forcing you to leave your lands for eternity, i merely wanted to aid you in recovery by providing for you what i could until you were healthy. I accept if you do not wish to part at this moment..." she paused and strode over to him.
She whispered in his ear the sweet melody of a hushed femora's voice, "I heard your call... I came to you.." with a wisk of her tail she trotted away from the duo leaving Crimson this last message, "I do not want this to be our last meeting... if you wish to seek me out i will be there."
With a departing stern look to Chalos she replied to his pleas of help, "I want nothing to do with your pack." her nose began to wrinkle from the malcontent she felt swell inside her, "You should know better then to ask help from filth." she gruffed and turned for her leave.

The Dragga shook his pelt before he lay beside the blind Deor wolf, ears pulled back against his head as he gave a small whine of sympathy for the other. "Well.." He smiled gently, nudging Crimson in a friendly fashion with his muzzle, "Now that I've found you, I know that you are around, and now if you are not seen with the rest of the pack I know that I must search for you. I refuse to leave any Deor member behind, to let them become as you have.. I give you my sincerest of apologies for not knowing at all of your existence, and, perhaps, I might be able to make it up to you by helping you to rejuvinate yourself."
Moon Crypt spoke just as he had hushed, and he simply had to have the last word before she left. With an angry growl, his hackles bristled, and a deep voice boomed out of him, "And filth such as yourself should know better to enter territory without permission. I see no reason why one with such a divine disposition must snap at me like some sort of wench. Now leave." Chalos had no reason to tell the femme to leave, for she was already on her way, but it was always safe to make sure that the she-varg knew that she was no longer welcome behind Deor's borders.
Focusing his attention back upon Crimson, the alpha pressed against him, hoping that such close contact would help the other to know that his Dragga cared about his health and well-being. "Is there anything I can do? It's obvious that a heaping meal is required as soon as possible.." Once more, the Dragga's lips curled into a soft grin, "And if you must know what use you are to this pack, I shall tell you; every member in this pack can do something, and if he cannot do something then he will do nothing. In your case, doing nothing is most likely all that you can do, but there will always be room in the pack's den for you - I can promise you this." Here, Chalos paused to take a breath and to let his words sink into Crimson as he again nudged the underling, his almost too-long tail sweeping over the ground slowly. "You should know that I am knew and haven't yet gotten into the swing of leading such a small pack, but they say that the blind are the most wise of wolves.. Surely you can help me keep these fools on their feet?" A chuckle sounded from him, remembering B.T. and Rain, recalling that he had thought that the pack was made up of she-varg.
At the same time, however, Chalos was more than overjoyed that his pack was not what earlier appeared to be all-femme.

Padding away with utter dissapointment for leaving such a useful varg as Crimson behind to a useless pack left a bitter taste in Moon Crypts mouth. She nearly tossed her last meal after hearing his drawling speach of sympathy to the elder wolf of red, he should have been the Alpha.
Unheard to MC due to her habitual series of huffs and grunts was the rise of Chalos to a standing position and the taking in of the necissary amount of oxygen for a good yell. Bellowing out to her he marked his comments of how the Dragga of Deor felt towards the Sarnes She-Devil. Nearly choking on her laughter she stopped and turned around with a delightful smile, "You Deor fool, there was no Dragga here to ask permission from." this was no lie with, MC would have been more then happy to ask for permission to enter the land... a wirey smile of pleasure crooked along her maw. She then continued in her trek to the Pack land's borders while over hearing Chalos's outstanding advice to Crimson.
A heaping meal required as soon as possible??? she retorted to herself. A deep sympathy went to Crimson if he was to be fed this large meal, anyone should know that giving such a large quantity to one who has always ate so little would guaruntee to make them ill. He was not, however, her problem any longer as much as she wouldn't mind him to be, so she dismissed any concerns that nearly flooded her mind after leaving him with Chalos. Yearning now, to be home with witty vargs, MC felt Sarnes sounded like a day in paradise at the moment. .

He closed his eyes, head resting to paws. "rejuvinate... wise..." A sigh raised from his muzzle "what will making me healthy once more do for the pack... Another muzzle to feed... one that really can't do anything.. anymore..." He just rested there a few moments, lost in thought... lost in himself... "I tried hunting... but even rabbits are able to escape me..." He paused for a moment, and pushed his head to the ground, a fore paw rose up quickly, scrathing at his eye lid with the dew claw, the humans torture still brought the useless orbs much pain, he then growled to the pain "Why doesn't it ever leave..." He looked, lids still closed, but his attention was aimed to his dragga "...I accept your apology.... but.. I still don't see why you want me around... Everything that was dear to me is gone now..." he sighed "Please help me... I want to see my mate again... But... give me a purpose... a meaning..."
His white and burnt eyes gave off a slight glow, maybe of hope... but still of pain and mourning.
"let me be... useful..."

B.T. hurried through the brush, her dainty paws carying her directly past a foreign varg. she paused to take in the scent and sight. "Good day," was all she said, then continued on her rush toward the Varg that drew her attention.
"Crimson!" she barked when she spied her friend, even though they were never too close she could just remember the few conversations that they'd shared. As her pace slowed and she dipped her muzzle to Chalos, she was soon sitting next to Crimson with the utmost glee imaginable.
Though soon Bent Time's smile weaned and she grew curious as to why Crim looked so miserable. She'd only just heard his last words and they'd been playing through her mind since she'd first shouted his name. she gazed quizzically for a moment as they were finally linking together.
Her head tilted as she smiled gently, though knowing he didn't see this gesture she nuzzled him in the friendlyest of manners. "Crimson, you are so important to us. Even if you don't think you are." She laid beside him as she spoke these reassuring words. "You have the best nose and ears here, on a hunt you could warn us to any lera that was ahead, even if we know."
Though it probably wasn't too big a deal to either of the males, it seemed quite large to her. Perhaps Crimson would take this and put it to good use. "Plus, I bet your good at locating intruders." B.T. glanced to Chalos, wondering if he was understanding the signifigance in these jobs. After all, anyone is useful, you just need to find their talent.

A deep snarl sounded from Chalos as BT laid next to Crimson - it seemed that he did not like the Deor nurse getting so close to the blind male. "Back off, BT - this is not a pup for you to nurse back to health. This is a grown varg who needs to be strengthened. Do not treat him as if he is a pup who does not understand." He growled, referring to the gentle tone the nurse was talking in that one only uses when speaking to idiots and children.
"This pack is a family, Crimson. Families do not throw their members out because they are too weak. Do you understand?" Chalos murred to the blind male, craning his head downwards to lick gently at Crimson's eyelids. "I cannot undo what has been done to you, but I can try to give you a new life. When you are strong enough, I shall assign you a job that only one such as yourself could handle. How's that sound?"
Sage orbs moved back to BT, and an almost commanding tone entered his voice as he spoke to her, "B.T., love, please bring our friend something to feast upon. Make sure it is small, though - I don't want him getting sick from having his stomach expanded. Go." A nuzzle was given against her neck before he laid down next to Crimson, almost as if he were guarding the starving male.

He slowly stood, all four paws and legs shaky from the degridation of his physical form, from mourning... "...al...right... I will do my best..." Is all he replied, he looked around, sniffing the air, the smell of many different creatures surrounded them, but it had been so long since he entered the pack lands, rather, he stayed on the outskirts, a sigh rose from his muzzle "How do we get back...?" He turned slightly, ears flexing to the sounds of the forest and of the nurse and his Dragga.
