I've been wasting my time I've been losing my mind I've been running races Still don't know what I've been chasing But my eyes still can see Bluer skies that wait for me And I'm on my way
The spring was coming the temperature was climbing slowly into a comfortable heat, with a chill on the wing but it was a nice calm wind which didn't bite as hard as the winters had. The spring always brought about new life, for every creature within the lands, the grass was starting to come back and the tree's were sprouting new buds which later on would turn into leaves, small rodents scurried across the floor searching for their food which they'd gone and hid before the winters start. The sun casted down warm rays, heating the ground and rocks making wonderful places to take small naps or to sun bathe. For one she-varg it brought about a new start, a new chapter in her life which was quiet exciting to think about, today her paws would touch the packland of Deor, she had joined the pack that her friend belonged to in hopes of spending time with him. She used to be fully autumn colored with a black ring around her neck, now she held patches of grey along her back, the autumn colors blending into the grey slightly, her paws were dipped white as was the tip of her tail and her ears had shifted into a fluffy tan color. Crystal blue eyes had darkened slightly but still reflected the clear skies above like they always had, Jonas was slowly growing into her adult coat, her legs were long and lanky, very awkward for a varg but it was all with growing up. She never took much notice to her appearance though, she was much to concerned on learning the aspects of healing the wounds of others and gaining knowledge of the area she would be residing in. She glanced around at the tree's a small smile on her features, Jonas was very gentle with everything she did and took much care in her activities, she lowered her gaze and watched the path in front of her eyes she picked up her pace into a trot glancing around her surroundings.
The fae wagged her tail lightly, wondering who would be out and about such a tragedy had taken place before Jonas' arrival into Deor and so she didn't expect many to be out and about for a while. The calmness in the air wasn't troubling in the least it was a very welcoming feeling, she dipped her maw as she continued on, the sun shining down warming her fur today was such a wonderful day, the young healer was feeling adventurous today...perhaps it was the weather making her feel such a way but it wasn't a strong urge unlike when she was a young autumn colored whelp venturing the land as a young kerl forming relations with other vargs including one of the warrior males Yerou. She came to a halt near the mid-point of the packlands, tail wagging as she mapped where she'd just come from in her mind, sitting on almost silver rear the young fae looked at the skies, fluffy white clouds lazed along above oblivious to the creatures below. She lowered her front end stretching her body, a small yawn escaped her "Welcome home Jonas, here's a place you won't need to speak to yourself in your mind ever again, hold you head up you have something to live for now" she nodded slightly as the thought ran through her mind, the small voice was right, and soon she'd lose that voice not needing it anymore, but she wouldn't realize this until much later on in her life.

Life goes on. This is one fact that, in spite of any kind of tragedies, torments, or dangers, is true. Sometimes it seems as if everything should just stop - that it is too cruel for some to be happy while others are in pain; but it is how it is, and it is for the best. There is always hope and happiness somewhere, even if it is not present everywhere. The Spring speaks this truth loudly. New life is evident everywhere - tiny green buds on flowering trees and soft, light green needles on the conifers. Newly awoken squirrels and other rodents make their way through the freshly growing grass and from tree to tree, chattering and talking as if trying to make up for the winter months. Soon there will also be new-born lera to be seen, and plentiful resources for all. The cycle of life and death goes along as surely as the cycle of the seasons...
In spite of the sadness covering the Dragga's heart and affecting the mood in the pack dens, Mist cannot help but feel that Lucivar would not like her beloved pack to live in gloom and sorrow. She would have told them to live their lives - remembering her, and holding her dear in their hearts and memories - but still being able to find joy in life. With this belief in her heart Mist has left the dens in search of Fenris's warmth and comfort. Her black-tipped tail swishes slowly behind her as she gracefully makes her way to the clearing, out of the shadows.
Gracefully stepping over a small, seasonal stream and coming out into the sunshine the new Drappa tilts her head back to look at the clear, fathomless sky, instantly awed by the beauty and expanse of it. As Fenris's rays settle gently on her she closes her eyes, basking in the warmth and comfort she so desperately needed and sought. After a few moments of stillness and calm she opens her eyes, revealing golden orbs, and picks herself up again, deciding to go to the middle of the clearing to get as unobstructed of a view of the sky as possible.
Padding silently over the sun-warmed grass she allows herself this time of uninhibited relaxation. For now she will be herself, and not worry about the sorrows or responsibilities of the world. She is not needed this afternoon, and if something comes up, she is within easy reach of a howl. Simultaneously with this thought she sees a small mottled russet form, and pauses with one paw in the air, ready to touch the ground and move her on. Tilting her head she changes her direction slightly, in order to come close to the other varg. Stopping a few paw steps away she looks down on the young fae, a smile on her lovely face. "Hello..." She says softly, not wishing to surprise the other too severely.
((If you want Jonas to have seen her before, I can change it ^_^))

The cycle of life and death is a never ending circle without any apparent clear beginning or end. One lives, others die, new life is born and old life withers away. Such is the unspoken law of the circle of life. Those that die become grass, and the antelope eat the grass. All things are connected in this great cycle, yet life goes on and most creatures are oblivious to the changes, too simple minded, or simply unwilling to ponder over the great law of life and death, for ignorance is bliss. But too the creatures that do acknowledge this code, who can respect the unspoken law, a great sadness befalls them when life passes into the next chapter. Such is the case of a pack of wolves who call Deor their home. Despite the season of life that now greeted the terra, it did not come without a shocking, and depressing turn of events. Lucivar’s passing has taken a heavy toll on the Deorian’s, and the adults of the pack still grieve over the loss of their drappa.
However, the youngest of the pack, who remain innocent and ignorant too the heaviness that has befallen Deor, continue their lives as is if nothing unordinary had taken place at all. They simply did not, could not understand what had taken place. Such real life concepts as death and mourning were not fit for the virgin eyes and ears of the youth, still enjoying the moments of play that came with cub hood. Ryu, an ivory male from Mist’s litter, and the new drappa’s only son, was such a cub. Though the little Deorian was not entirely unaware by any means, he has been alive and knows Deor well enough to be aware of the change in atmosphere amongst his family. Awareness alone did not reveal the truth of the matter, and so Ryu continued on his normal routine of playful annoyance to his sisters and overall being a handful. On this day, his sisters were spending the day cooped up in the family den, and Ryu wasn’t the type of pup to spend his mornings in such a way when there was a whole pack land to explore.
Golden eyes glanced upwards, and were greeted by the sight of overhead clouds that traversed the realm Fenris called home. A light breeze combed the land of Deor, which refreshed the pup and insured that he was kept cool from the warmth of the fiery gods light. It was a great day for exploring and mischief, which was exactly what the little Deorian was intending to do. Like winter, spring brought in tow many changes, and now Deor was a brand new world for the cream pup to investigate. “I wonder where mom and dad are.” Ryu thought. It had been a while since he had last seen his father Chayton. Mist had always told Ryu that his father was on guard patrol and that his responsibility kept him from seeing his cubs. But that didn’t stop the little Deorian from longing to see him. With the thought of finding his parents in mind, Ryu raised his maw skyward and let a howl escape his muzzle, calling to his mom and dad in hopes that they’d hear and respond.

The sun warmed the odd looking she-varg she glanced around eyes on the skies above, though the wind carried her scent down the invisible paths of Deor another scent was carried with it, once she picked it up she was to turn but before that a voice spoke to her and she spun around tail loosely hanging behind her "Oh hello...I didn't think anyone else would be out" she smiled bowing her head to the fae who she recognized as the drappa of Deor Mist. They'd never crossed paths before but Ryu had told Jonas of his mothers status, so with the knowledge and a face to the name the young healer relaxed wagging her tail lightly though suddenly a howl broke the silence between the two fae's and the younger of the two turned her crystal gaze in the direction it originated strange how familiar it was to her silver and tan ears. She turned slightly to the older fae, curious to see if she could give a name and perhaps a face to this call. Though she continued to guess to the familiarity of it, she had heard it before but also she had met so many other vargs in the past it could of been possibly one of them, she narrowed down her choices for the voice was young not much older then herself. Though at the end came up with nothing but a blank expression again she looked up at Mist Who could it be? Is it possibly Ryu? of course it could be, no one else I know of joined this pack that I've met" the fae wondered if she should answer it but left it to Mist for she was not only his mother but the drappa as well. <<sorry this is late as well as cruddy life's been rough>>

As the young fae greets her in return and bows respectfully Mist smiles and bows her head, showing respect for the young fae while still slightly showing her higher status. There have been times in her life when the ash-grey would not have been up at this time of morning, but recently her duties of beta and now Drappa have urged her to get up and patrol the lands, making sure everything is quiet, calm, and how it should be. It is nice to see a friendly face on her morning strolls, even if it is a new one. "Jonas, isn't it?" A kind smile breaks out on her lovely face and she nods companionably.
A moment later there is a howl that floats across the land - it is a familiar, easily recognizable sound, obviously of a young mann. Smiling again Mist turns her gaze toward the sound, looking for her son. As Jonas speaks, questioning the identity of the caller she nods, her golden eyes shining gently. "Yes, it is Ryu." This affirmation complete she raises her head to the cool blue skies and answers his call. The sound of her howl builds as it continues - a melodious note that echoes even after she finishes.
Lowering her head she glances over at Jonas again and smiles. "So, young healer, have your talents been put to use at all?"
((Erm, Jonas, I wasn't sure if you were "speaking" the question or not. If not, I can change it...))

Odd pelted youth nods lightly as Mist questions her name "You are correct, my calling is Jonas" she smiles lightly, crystal eyes shining brightly, reflecting the pupish antics that lay under her formal cloth one which she learned to use as a young whelp still nestled to her mothers side. It was rude to be anything less then perfect in manners when it came to meeting the higher status vargs of your and others packs. Her fluffy ears twitch lightly as Mist answers her question of whether it was Ryu or not and Jonas seems to brighten up a little more she had taken a detour before coming to the lands of Deor so it has been quiet a long while since the two have seen one another "Wonderful! I wonder what he has been up to since we parted ways by the large tree" she mused, more to herself but it was loud enough to catch another's ears if they listened. Tail wagged happily as she awaited to see his figure come towards them, but for the moment Mist has questioned her and it was calling for an answer "No, luckily not but one day soon it'll happen and so I have been keeping to my self training, I've also been aided by a fluffy white year old as well" Jonas was speaking of course about the hyper Fenore, who'd taken a liking to following the teachings of her aunt Farrah and wanted to be the next healer however this changed when her brothers had left and so Fenore chose to remain only part of the pack and would decide her fate later on, though with what knowledge she had, Fenore passed it along to Jonas the one she assumed needed the training and information more so. Jonas could never forget how active and strange that fae came off as, and questioned if all were like that Fenore assured her that only she acted in such a fashion...well...at least she believed that to be true. <<This sucks sorry Mist, had to work late so its all meh>>
