It did not matter where one would settle down in the course of their life. It did not matter the circumstances or trials one would come across. Sure they could shape you, mold the very fiber of your being. But it could not change your past. Your family, your blood would always remain the same despite all else. And in the case of a majestic bi-colored femora with pinto pools of brilliant beauty, a Ge-Radian heart pumps Zanguzen blood through her veins. Blood to which linked the fae to an infamous pack that hailed far west of Transylvania. Into lands unheard of by the Varg of the region. A land governed by tyrants and mercenaries. One such pack was feared and revered above all others. Their ways seemed cruel to the eyes of outsiders, but their methods held a great precision that would merit the Zanguzen the right to claim any land they so desired. Only one Varg had ever managed to escape the grasp of such a malicious living style, and lived on to tell about it. This femora, now called her-self “Ge-Radian”.
But no matter the name one gives themselves, Zanguzen blood still coursed through the veins of the ebony and ivory fae. And on this sun, Fenris would sit comfortably in his throne high above in the heavens, and his ever watchful gaze fell upon Krystal’s form. His rays of kindness licked at the imperfect Zanguzen’s soft, elegant pelt and left an admirable shine that glittered like tiny fire flies in the night. However, the Ge-Radian warrior was not out on a stroll of leisure through the depths of a forest maze. Rather, she was on the prowl for pray. The feel of hunger bubbled up in the belly of the wolf, and brought the imagery of fresh crimson to her mind’s eyes. A delicious scent and a scrumptious taste teased at Krystal’s thoughts and fueled her hunger and bloodlust as the femora made her way along quiet ebon paws. It almost seemed as the very markings of her ancestry gave of an ominous showing as they proudly adorned her right shoulder and left hind leg.
On this sun, the Zanguzen had awakened. Fueled by a need to quench her thirst of crimson nectar, the side of Krystal kept hidden away from her new family had revealed itself. The bi-colored fae did not carry a split personality by any means; rather this true form of a Zanguzen lay dormant, suppressed by the love adorned and taught to Krystal by the kindness of her mother’s heart. In truth, it was that same kindness that in a sense poisoned what would have originally been a pure killing machine, a killing machine that could only be awoken by the very bloodlust that currently fueled and governed Krystal’s actions. Her once bi-hued sapphire and emerald eyes now festooned a new pure emerald brilliance. Those infamous emerald Zanguzen pools were the pride of the mercenary clan, as they held unique properties only found in the genes of her heritage. It was the very reason why the Zanguzen had chosen to remain a pack of inbreeds, to further secure and protect the genes that should only remain with their pure blood.
Now this destructive force, what should have been of Krystal had not the interference of her mother played the ultimate deterrent, was on the prowl. In search of the victim that would quench her bloodlust and cast this curse away into the darkness to which in once came. She would have to be quick in finding a kill. Even though Draeg and many others knew that the bi-hued warrior carried a last name, a rarity amongst wolves, and ornamented symbols of Zanguzen lineage, no Ge-Radian knew anything about this gift, this curse that festered and plagued Krystal. No matter what, even despite the kind nature of Krystal’s heart, she was still a Zanguzen. And today it showed completely, unhindered and undaunted so long as that bloodlust remained. The cruel nature of her pack had taken control, and unless she could satisfy that hunger too, it wouldn’t be long before a fellow Ge-Radian found out her secret. Among a pack of kind hearted wolves who loved one another greatly, there was no place for a blood thirsty killer. Krystal knew this, and so she had to find a kill before it was too late. Just who knows what she could do to a fellow pack mate when the blood of her ancestry took hold.
(YAY!!!! First post in Ge-Radian forest ^^)

On this hot day, the lands of Ge-rad were fairly quiet, all except for a gray she varg making her morning rounds. She wasn't obligated to do so, but she enjoyed it, after spending most of her time in the den with Sorcha, the motherless pup of the deceased Drappa of Ge-rad, it was nice to get out and walk. This day, would prove to be more than Uskiya had thought though.
The sun danced off of Uskiya's pelt, making it appear a more silver color than it normally was. Her golden orbs glanced to the sky every once in a while. But her real purpose of this journey was to think, not so much topatrol the borders, since the warriors normally did that, but Uskiya often did it as well. But today she had alot on her mind. However, those thoughts would be dissolved when she scented her newly adopted daughter Krystal.
Scenting the air, the she varg padded towards the direction Krystal's scent was coming from. Funny thing, Uski knew nothign about Krystal's past, her daughter Ayasha did, but did the past actually matter? Krystal knew nothing about Uskiya's past, how her family had tried to kill her, all except her strange sister. In that respect, perhaps Uskia and Krystal were more a like than anyone would think.
As Uskiya quickened her pace to reach her daughter, something in the air caused her to pause. She could sense the strangeness. As she tilted her head upwards she could smell a strange aroma coming off of Krystal. Uskiya was not one for fighting, but she could put up one hell of one if she needed to. She never came off across that way, she was always kind and quiet. Only since she had been in Ge-rad for a while had she becom more outspoken.
"Krystal." The gray hued fae called out, walking quietly through the terra, the shade cooling her pelt, still heavy from the winter months. As she closed in on where Krystal was her pace slowed. She was nervous, having no idea about what was going on, she only feared for her daughter's safety.

Many scents were brought from the coming winds. Foliage, animals, the very earth that lay beneath Krystal’s ebon paws held a strong musk that filled the air around the former Zanguzen. It was that very scent that had first caught the bi-colored fae’s attention, for pray was assured with each breath she took. Indeed the Lera was near, but just how near still remained a mystery, at least for that moment. Senses heightened by her Zanguzen heritage, her pure emerald orbs seemed to focus in the very direction the Lera would most probably be. And indeed there lay a rather large duck perched on the ground. It’s reason for being there not a concern to Krystal. There in feathery form stood the answer to her problem. Its heartbeat heard clearly in the sensitive auds of the Ge-Radian. All senses were hightened in this state. Her killing nature in full view for anyone too witness. The way the Zanguzen should be, the reason why they were so feared and revered back home. Concealed in the cover of foliage, Krystal watched the tasty prize carefully with the pride of her lineage. Krystal’s emerald Zanguzen eyes gave off their own gleam without the aid of any outside radiance.
In those pools, her brain saw the world through slow motion, allowing Krystal to make better decisions and overall improving her agility during the most difficult of struggles. Her tongue passed over her lips as her minds eye imagined the taste of the ducks crimson liquids, still fresh and coursing through its broken arteries. She waited for another moment, to make sure the flying Lera was completely unaware of the Zanguzen’s presence. Once assured, Krystal sprinted from her cover spot, heading in a straight path toward the creature. Leaving kicked up earth in her wake with each movement of her ebon agile paws. The duck had seen its attacker, and made for the air as fast as it could, but it was no match for the speed of a Zanguzen, and Krystal leapt into the air. Higher then a normal wolf could reach, her jaws clenched onto the leg of the flying creature, and gravity brought predator and pray back to the ground that waited below. Crimson red painted the world around Krystal, splashing the ducks juices all over the place, including her own face and muzzle, which was now covered in the delicious nectar.
Surely the duck was dead as it lay limp in her midnight maw. But that wasn’t enough for the imperfect Zanguzen. The taste of blood at first only acted to further fuel the need to taste more. Near by, stood a lone stone that poked its rocky surface from the ground, perhaps having once been submerged completely at one point in time. At once Krystal ran toward the rock with her kill locked firmly in those ivory incisors. Increasing her pace as she neared, Krystal veered only slightly as the rock approached, and her trophy crashed into the hard exterior, painting the stone in its own blood. Its mangled body toppled over the stone like a rag doll, and Krystal at once used her burst of speed to circle the rock, and meet her kill on the other side. Before the duck could even so much as hit the earth, Krystal’s jaws had caught the dead creature in mid fall, clenching tightly and shaking her prize so that more blood could splatter and coat her face. She was toying with her pray in a way not coming among the world of the wolf. The sight of blood brought joy to Krystal, and she continued to violently shake the creature, unaware that Uskiya was watching her daughter in such a horrific state of uncaring savagery, the way of the Zanguzen shown brilliantly in her emerald orbs.

Uskiya watched in horror as her daughter mutilated the prey, it wasn't enough to take its life to satisfy her hunger. Something horrific had been born within the bi-hued fae that Uskiya had only ever seen once. But even then, the circumstances had been different. This was Krystal killing her prey in a way that none could imagine.
She stood silently, not knowing what to do, was it her place to say somethign about her killing habits? Was it now a threat for Krystal to be in Ge-rad? This was simply prey, the blood lust could be due to hunger.
Secretly Uskiya knew that that was not the case, this was something else, something far more important, and as so many things Uskiya had to do something. She stepped out from where she had been hiding, standing taller than Krystal she cocked her tail up in beta position, knowing that this Krystal was not the kind one whom she had adopted.
"Krystal, what in Tor's name are you doing?"Her voice was soft but it also held authority, normally what buisness was it of any vargs how she ate, but this time was different. This time something seemed wrong.
She had never seen any putnar torture their prey like that before, and she did not want her daughter to do so. But why was she so upset about simple lera? Was it the fact that this brutality to any living thing did not seem to fit into Ge-rad, or was it possible that Krystal had a secret that no one knew about?

Uskiya’s words broke the carnage that played out in front of her golden pools. A slaughter unlike any perhaps she had ever seen. But would that be just the beginning? It was the sheer pleasure of killing and mauling that made the Zanguzen so terrifying to the eyes of any Varg. Too think, if Krystal could be like this with simple pray, could she in fact cause harm in the same sense to her own kind, or worse a fellow Ge-Radian? After all, weren’t pups now living within the safe refuge of Ge-Radian dens? Dens that perhaps could be easily visited by the bi-colored femora; it would certainly be much for her adoptive mother to contemplate over. But this change wasn’t necessarily the fault of Krystal. All was caused by simple genetics, an imperfect code that was labeled within ever blood cell that passed through her crimson liquid. Quickly Krystal turned her shimmering emerald pools at Uskiya. A new malice emanated from those gleaming optics. Malevolence of the Zanguzen, painted brilliantly on those radiant orbs.
Her worst fears realized, just how much had Uskiya seen? It was clearly obvious now, that her mother must have seen everything. But her ancestral instincts were strong and compelling Krystal to do terrible things, almost beckoning for her to strike Uskiya down. The look of one who struggled with her inner demons was now completely painted on Krystal’s ebon form, as she struggled to cast all those terrible images away. But she could hear Uskiya’s heartbeat, and her mental eyes played dangerous pictures in the Ge-Radian’s mind. Dead wolves could tell no tales. And so long as Uskiya lived, there would be that risk that others could find out her secret too. She fought desperately to deny her heritage. “Uskiya!” Krystal yelled to her mother, who stood proudly in the perilous situation. She was true Beta, who stood bravely, and beautiful, like her real mother. “Mother... Stay back…” Krystal gritted through her teeth. Her voice was different, more malicious, her lyrics half being a warning, and a promise. “I don’t want to hurt you…”

Uskiya stood like a stone replica of what might've once been a proud varg. Her golden orbs gazed upon her daughter as she seemed to fight with an inner demon. But by no means was she backing down. She could be sikla and still she would not move from this position. Inside of the normally calm and sweet demeanored varg was the protective heart and solid ground. Uskiya showed no fear as she faced her daughter. Her hackles began to bristle a little but her tail was still held high like a banner.
"No." One word, one meaning. The one word she should've told her parents when they wanted to kill her, the same fire that had hidden away within her soul now seemed to burn in her golden optics as they stared at her conflicted daughter. "What ever you are inside, you are still my daughter."
The words might as well have fallen from the sky, they seemed to hold no ground with the situation as Krystal's condition only seemed to worsen. What could Uskiya do? Her ashen pelt glistened in the sun light as Fenris watched from above. Was this some plan that the god's had devised to test the strength of the beta femme?
Her shoudlers shook for a moment as she stood still, watching Krystal, anticipating a sudden change of position from the former Zanguzen. She knew little of her daughter's past, but pasts could be changed, although with the bi-hued fae it seemed she might be the exception. "Krystal."
She only called her name, unsure if words would help and not knowing what else to do except wait for her to make a move. If love could make a difference here. If anythign would help her daughter. She doubted that Krystal would hurt anyone in Ge-rad, but this moment wanted to prove otherwise. HAd her previous pack been murderous like this? Finding pleasure in the blood spilling of others? It was possible, many vargs seemed to come from packs like that.
Golden optics studied her daughter, a whine escaped her maw, a whine not in fear or sadness, but in anticiapation of a possible fight that could occur. If indeed Krystal had trouble controlling what monster lie hidden beneath her bi-hued pelt, then perhaps blood would be spilled. Blood from a varg.
Regaurdless of the monster that haunted the former Zanguzen Uskiya still loved her. No battle scar, internal or not, would cause Uski to ever think of Krystal as anythign but her daughter. A vicious monster? No, she could not hide the fact that she was haunted by something, but she was still a Ge-radian.

It was uncanny how similar the sounds of their voices were. Uskiya’s voice sounded just like her mothers. The pitch was nearly the same. The lyrics were identical to boot. Krystal’s hackles bristled, ivory incisors gleamed in Fenris’ light. The nurse and Beta of Ge-Rad was impervious to the danger. Or did she simply not care for her own safety? Such thoughts passed through the imperfect Zanguzen’s mind but were quickly dismissed soon after. But one thought could not escape the mind of Krystal. And suddenly without warning, it was as if her pools played mind games in front of the former Zanguzen. An image of her own biological mother, replaced that of Uskiya’s form. It was only for a mere few seconds, but she was definitely there. But were they simply a trick of the light, or was there a deeper meaning to this image that Uskiya gave off? How much longer could Krystal resist the urges that poured into every inch of her being? Her mind ached for blood to be spilled, but how could such a fate be allowed to fall on the gentle Uskiya, who even now in the midst of torment and trials, still stood strong and brave.
She would not leave her daughters side, and a soft whine would escape her maw. Did Krystal not look barbaric and hideous to her adoptive mother’s eyes? Drenched in the blood of her kill; eyes full of malice as they wished so desperately to silence the gray wolf Beta that stood before her. But her heart still clung onto that image of her mother with much intensity. It was all that kept the bi-colored femora back. Truly the lifestyle of a killer was now present in Ge-Radian lands, did this not play any importance to Uskiya? Certinlay it would the rest of Ge-Rad if they found out. But one thought had failed to dawn upon Krystal; Uskiya loved her daughter very much, and would do anything for her. Even give up her life if such came to that. In the same way that Krystal’s mother had given her life, so her daughter could escape and live on. “I could kill you where you stand in a heart beat, spill your blood on Ge-Rad soil. I could do that to any wolf. How could you stand there undaunted by these facts?”
For a moment she remained silent, allowing the effects of her words to be taken in by her mother. Her voice was cold, malicious like that of the Balkar even. “How can you love a daughter who comes from a pack of vicious killers? What will Ge-Rad do, when they find out?” The latter of her questions seemed rather obvious to Krystal. They would exile her. She would lose her family to her Zanguzen heritage, and be banished from those she loved so dearly. It was only that love, which somehow drove Krystal back from attacking, at least for the moment anyway. She had glimpsed her mother’s form on Uskiya’s, she still didn’t know what that meant. “Mom…” Krystal spoke quietly, too quiet for Uskiya to hear, for perhaps the gray Beta was beating back that evil curse that plagued Krystal, the curse of her legacy. “How could you ever love a daughter like me?” Krystal spoke a little louder. For the first time in the encounter, her voice was normal again, but if nothing was done, she would revert back to that monster that was her family blood. Who knows what would happen then.

As Krystal spoke, Uskiya still stood firm, every muscles in her body seemed to reach below the surface of the earth, like a tree with roots extending into the spirit of the earth. Even as Krystal threatened her, Uskiya remained where she was, relentless to back down, she stood like a mountian that no matter how fierce the wind was, the mountain would never bow down. She was determined to save her daughter.
It seemed pointless to stand there and talk to her, many others would've preffered to use violence. But the iron willed femora stood where she was, she was determined to help her daughter no matter what the consequences.
"Because you are my daughter. Becasue I love you and will protect you." She spoke calmly, not a hint of fear could be found in either voice or stature of the she varg. It was plausible that no varg was safe so long as the heart beat within the former Zanguzen. But was more mindless slaughter going to help. Krystal could be very well suited for battle, if a time to protect the packlands ever came. And the loss of yet another pup would be surely crippling to the grey furred femora. She had lost so much allready, surely to Fenris it would seem cruel to put her through more.
"Love is not restricted by the past os someone. If you knew half of the pasts each varg of Ge-rad has, you might be surprised." She spoke with a soft tone, watching Krystal, watching her fight the monster inside that wanted to taste more blood. Any other varg might be sickened to see this, almost as terifying as the Balkar, but Uskiya did not buge. "You are my daughter, I will love you regaurdless of what you are, or what you do.. Ge-rad doesn't need to know. You are not a monster."
She remained where she was, her loving words were all that could reach the troubled bi-hued varg. Her features held love for her, her tail, though still held high slightly wagged. Her auds, that were once held straight forward were tilted slightly to convey emotion. Every feature that could, was showing love for Krystal.
"Your birth mother loved you Krystal, and I am no different." These words came with a firmer tone. She would do anything to help her daughter. Even if it meant her death, after all, Krystal had much more to live for than Uskiya did. Not that Uskiya was considering death, but if need be, she would throw her life on teh line for her daughter, or anyone in this pack.
"Krystal, you are a Ge-radian, you are my daughter and no matter what I will love you." She rolled her shoudlers to remove the tension that was building beneath her pelt. The strong muscles that seemed to reach beneath the earth to connect to the spirit still held strong. If one were to walk upon this scene playing out, surely a battle would be expected, but despite the superior posture the gray furred fea displayed, her features were softened and her orbs remained steady.
Her tassel wavered slightly in the air, still held high but with a slight droop, as if keeping the beat of a heart that couldn't seem to breathe fully, kept in a cage by the fear that plagued it, the fear of ruining everything.
