New Skin ? Made by Kadin, as part of the Koran Updates. [Kadin @ 1. 26 . 07]
Warm rays fell onto the land bellow. Fenris content rather than in his usual rage. Not that the Lera wanted him to be, for his scorching wrath was enough to drive anyone insane. The azure blue sky was dotted with small dots of white clouds, perhaps a promise of rain from Tor. The evergreen trees swayed in the gentle breeze, for whoever slept under them would certainly be lulled to sleep. Lera of all sizes and species roamed throughout the forest, but especially here. In this place; Koran.
White paws clawed the earth, sending large amounts of it flying through the air. Under a large sycamore tree, was a black and white she cub. Her once white paws were covered in brown dirt as she continued on her excavation. Silly foxes! You abandon your home, but you actually gave it to Shadow! Now I only need to widen it out a little.....or allot. Shadow thought, grinning at her progress.
The cub had just recently found the den, a month ago, and was now working on widening and building more dens. Sheltered by large trees and small boulders, the den was quite protected against the elements. The abandoned den itself stretched to all parts of Koran territory, making it easy for escapes and getting supplies. Shadow had already explored every tunnel, nook, and cranny. Finding it exceptionally well built and spacious. Only a few digs here and there and it'll be done. Shadow thought grinning at her work.
Getting on her aching paws, Shadow bent her neck back words and saw a small cave. On the ground near the entrance were flat rocks she had found by the river, using them to plate the floor. At the base of the opening was the tree, which she had dug through until she saw light streaming in. Right under it was a small hole also plated by flat rocks and moss. Filled with rain water collected by the week before rain. Entrances to other tunnels and dens were located by the placement of herbs at each entrance. It's like my den outside of Koran, but even better! Shadow thought as she shook out her fur.
Dust and dirt flew into the sky, making a small cloud brown. Looking up to the trees, Shadow yawned with sleepiness. I guess I didn't get enough sleep lately with all this digging. Shadow crept into her little den, settling onto the cool stone floor. Is this new life here going to be better than my old one?. Shadow laid her head down onto her weary paws, soon falling asleep from the lull of the breeze.

I smelled a varg on the wind. I instantly recognized the scent.
"Shadow!" I ran as fast as I could towards my friend. "Man, I can't wait to find her! Life here in Koran hasn't been so easy not knowing anybody." I giggled and soon came upon a big area of Shadow's scent. There was a huge fox den in front of me. I could see Shadow's black and white tail sticking up.
Fenris was calm today. All the Lera were happy. Including the Herla. Which meant no varg would starve today. You could tell today was a happy day. The air itself seemed happy.
"Shadow, hey, Shadow! It's me, Frostpool!" I giggled and walked up to the edge of her den. Her eyes were clamped shut and her body was relaxed.
"Oops! I didn't know she was asleep!" I quietly walked to the far end of her den and waited. Waited for my best friend to wake up. A squirrel darted in front of me and I chased after it.
"So much for being quiet!" It ran into the trees and up a branch. I growled and barked at the tree.

ooc:Sorry it took so long.....
Aching paws rested on the cool flat stones. Sleeping in the warm glow of Fenris's rays, Shadow's sore body cried out with joy. Her paws had finally stopped her endless labor of digging and working on her new den. Under the sun's rays, SHadow's fur sparkled and shimmered. Her breathing deep and calm as the rest of her mind and body. Birds chirped at the warm day, perhaps singing sweet songs to Fenris. Thanking him for his mercy. Even as the day rolled on, Shadow continued to sleep. Unaware of her white and black friend Frostpool had just stumbled by.
The green sea of grass waved in the summer breeze. Blue skies reigned with only a few clouds to dot it. Stones the size of fists and small wolves seemed to hav e gathered in small groups. Forming a stone wall for any Lera to lean on. Flowers of all shapes, sizes, and colors sprouted out of the ground. Not a single weed in sight. Trees towered the edge of the peaceful meadow, providing shade in the warm afternoon. Birds hopped from branch to branch or soared out into the open and sung their let their voices flooat sweetly into the air. Herds of Herla grazed nearby, flicking their ears occasionally for any danger of threat. Yet there was none for such a paradise was a dream to all Vargs and Lera. A world without Man and their evil.
Green speckled blue orbs stared out into the meadow. Full of unshed tears of sadness. A young Varg laid in the shade of the evergreens. Leaning on the rough bark of the tree, ignoring the sticky sap that would've been a pain to remove in the later future. It's been a while since I've been here. Shadow's eyes landed onto the wings of a fluttering butterfly. To be able to escape and fly through the endless blue sky must be true freedom. With no burden to weigh you down. Shadow looked happily for the fluttering insect, watching it fly to a nearby flower. A flower the color of blood.
Shadow's limp body jerked awake. Almost as though shocked by a sudden surge of lightning. Shaking her head side to side, Shadow's blue lanterns looked around the den site. Nothing seemed to be out of order since the time she fell asleep. Sighing with relief, Shadow's ears focused on a nearby bark. Frostpool? Getting on her still alseep paws, Shadow's blue orbs focused the body of her white and black friend. Letting a yip of surprise and delight escape her maw, Shadow pranced over to the other pup. "Frostpool! You're here!" Shadow yipped, her tail waving like a banner in the air.

Frostpool laughed heartily as her best friend, Shadow approached her. She waved her long tail slightly as she smiled at her friend.
"Hello, Shadow! How have you been? How has Koran been treating you?" Frostpool walked up to her friend and sillyishly inhaled her scent. She got down in her play position and playfully growled. She could go for another wrestle.
"We've gotten bigger. I am no longer as playful as I used to be. I've matured into a very fine pup. Soon, I will be an adolescent. Then, I will no longer have to be called a pup! I can see that you are a very big adolescent. And a very fine one, too."
OOC: sorry it took so long and it is so short...ive gotten rusty with frosty so i need brush up on her....

(lols same here, poor Shad D: )
A smile crept onto the black and white wolf's face as she set her bright blue eyes on Frostpool. The white and black wolf in front of her had indeed grown out of her puppy stage. The memories of their time together flickered before her again before disappearing. For she to had grown as well. Indeed as Frostpool had said, Shadow was an adolscent. Her once puppy soft fur had now lengthened and lost most of their softness and was replaced with longer, rougher, and less fuzzy fur. Legs that were once nothing but little stubs coming from her body had reconstructed themselves into stronger and longer limbs. Her maw and teeth had lengthened and sharpened themselves as well, along side their claws that were now small knives in the femme's paws. "So I guess we're all grown up now huh?" Shadow said, her tail wagging slowly with jjoy but her eyes portrayed nothing but a mix of sadness and excitement. It was as though her entire puphood was flooding through her mind, showing everything that had happened to her; from the fateful night her parents had died to the times where she had met all her friends, and finally when she joined Koran. "I can see that Frost, you have grown up fine." Shadow said, but that wasn't an understatement. What she had said was true, for her friend was indeed a fine adolescent. "Well Frost, do you have a rank you're aiming for?" Shadow asked curiously. "I'm a healer now Frost!" Shadow exclaimed proudly. "I got it a few weeks ago actually" Shadow explained and smiled. The black and white femme casually settled down and wrapped her white tipped tail around herself as she waited for her old friend to reply.

"Yeah, Shadow, I guess we are. We aren't the same rambunctious little pups we used to be...ha! Just kidding. And thank you. You've grown up very fine, too, Shad. I'm trying to go for a scout, but only time can tell. Congrats! I know you've always wanted to be a healer...We'll need all the healing help we can get with the upcoming war...I'm so sad that Kadin was killed. I didn't know him, but I know he was great."
Frost smiled sadly, and realized she spoiled the happy moment with the rememberance of Kadin. Frost looked to the heavens and knew he was there with the gods Tor and Fenris. She gulped and sat down.
Frost and Shadowwolf were about the same height at the shoulder, but Frost would always be the smaller of the two. She laughed suddenly as memories of their puphood flooded her mind. She remembered when Shadowwolf healed Frost and even when they first met. Those were great times indeed.
