This is mostly for entertainment, but lets see how many animes (Or any other kind of show for that matter) that america dubbing has completely and utterly torn to pieces! I can think of one so far and it's a big one.
Yu-Gi-Oh = FAIL
I have SEEN the japanese version of this show and it was bloody PERFECT! Dear lord season zero had so many murders by Yami and other such awesomeness that I want to KILL 4kids! Heck 4kids ruins anything it touches. Which brings me to my next one
One Piece = FAIL
All I can say is that this scares the heck outta me.... i mean just.... jeeze *Shudder*
Naruto= FAIL
Naruto sounds like a chipmunk XD That and Sasuke is so emo sometimes you just wanna kill him to shut him up.

Not true. Death Note was very well dubbed, I like the voice actors better.. Although the really dramatic parts are a little smoothed over, but that's fine. They also did a good job on Saiyuki when it was airing on whatever channel that was. I also remember watching Neon Genesis waaaay back and loving it.

Also true and i have to agree with the dramatic movements my only thought was : Ooook.... heck he doesn't NEED a relationship, what he's doing is like S&x to him. And ah neon genisis <3! but give anything to 4kids and well... been nice knowing ya! Heck i cannot stand listening to any of their work, it rots my ears! They cut so much stuff from a story, choose terrible voices and leave so many plot holes there is no way you could clean up after em.

Oh boy, not only did they slaughter the Naruto voices, but reworded everything as well. It probably would have been a tad bit better if it was meant for the Adult Swim program, rather than Cartoon Network and little kids. Though I agree with WB, Death Note and the first Saiyuki and were well dubbed, but Saiyuki Reloaded- I shudder. Maybe that's because I saw the subbed first, who knows. I don't think they did Chrono Crusade justice either, poor Chrono :/
Though they did dub FMA very well.

Oh yes FMA was fantastic! <3 Luved the show forever! *Has several T-shirts* I use to be a big inuyasha fan too... but there too many dang episodes, never any new ones and so i got tired and dropped it. The dubbing there was alright, not great... but alright.

Yes! I even have Ed voice actor (Vic)'s autograph from a con, I dont' think they could have found a better voice for Ed.
Uhg, I hated Inu-Yasha with a passion, not sure why. Probably because it was more like a soap opera than anything. And their freakishly long weapons annoyed me Xp

The way I see it, both sides have their good and bad points, depending on individual opinions.
For the three anime that I watched both English and Japanese versions, I have to say that Death Note and FullMetal Alchemist were very well dubbed. As for Wolf's Rain, I like both the japanese and English voices equally.
What's funny about English voices to me is that they're often very recognizable, and you can find them in the most unexpected and amusing places. Alessandro Juliani, the English voice actor of L lent his voice to a few of the Barbie movies, and even sings a song about how to be proper princess! [Me and Takhi cracked up for hours after we listened to the song.] He was also in Stargate SG1, from what I read up on him.
But some series just seem to be born of the native language only. I'd hate to see Ginga Nagareboshi Gin or The Third in English. Bleh.
And I know it's not technically anime, but I'd love to see Avatar dubbed in Chinese, since it's based off of Chinise lore. That'd be awesome.
I lost interest in Bleach very quickly, and I literally got lost watching InuYasha after I missed a few episodes. And Naruto just annoys me, no matter the language.
I'm rambling... I'll shut my mouth now.

I think I tend to lean more toward dubbed versions better because Japanese is such a fast and rather annoying language and I get tired of hearing hyperactive near-gibberish while trying to read the subtitles.
I used to watch Serial Experiments: LAIN when I had the satellite channel that aired it. But I don't have it anymore, boo. It was really, really good. And once when I had run out of DVDs to buy at Best Buy, I picked out one called Haibane-Renmei. I don't remember what it was about (though I sort of recall the plot being a little cloudy), but I remember the dubbing being rather decently done. And most of the 'anime-loving' people I know are all obsessed with Hellsing, but I think it's total crap. Dubbing job aside, I get tired of the unoriginal gothic hooblah it's got in it. And the people who deck themselves out in all the fanstuff? I mean, come on. Grow up. The world's had its share of poser badasses by now.
Lmfao, Cow and Chicken was brilliant. Courage is still around, but they changed the style a bit and now it's way up there on the fail list; the old episodes were so great. Oh, does anyone remember when they changed the style for Dexter's Lab? Pff.
Phantom, for some reason I just couldn't get into Ginga. Bleach sucks, and once upon a time I watched InuYasha too. Although all I remember of it was that the plot was RUN BACK AND FORTH COLLECTING SHARDS TO A JEWEL, OCCASIONALLY HAVE A TERRIBLE PLOT TWIST, AND AT RANDOM POINTS HAVE WHASSERFACE SQUAWK "SIT"! Total crap also. Though I will admit that some of the demons in it are fantastic and very imaginative. That's about it. Also, Avatar is the absolute best show Nick has ever aired. Having it dubbed in Chinese would just be so clever, wouldn't it?
AND I KNOW YOU GUYS ALL LOVE FLCL BECAUSE WHO DOESN'T?

YES! The complete and utter randomness of FLCL!! It was short but an awesome show even if I did get confused along the way several times.
*Chops 4Kids with an ax*
Season 0 of Yu-Gi-Oh (Only avalible in Japan... and on youtube >D) was the shiz! The art is a little crude and the coloring is a bit flat... but dang if it isn't much better to the drivel 4kids spat up. Yami is seriously Insane! Like, worse then Bakura, insane! He seemed to be a pyro too XD killed about five people by FIRE!!! And in there his eyes are the original Crimson he had before, which of course looks a whole lot better then violet... even the subbed version is the shiz! Dan green couldn't put emotion into his voice if ya kicked him in the crotch DX But in the subbed... so... much.. raw... emotion! Fantastic! >D

Okay, I've got a new one to add...
The English dub of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
They slaughtered Kamina's manly voice! He sounds like a some dude from my high school now!

Wolf's Rain, FMA, Ghost In the Shell SAC and Second Gig were also a few that have succeed. But as our deary Wuffie has stated... "All children intended american dubbings = fail"
