.:.Personage.:.
Name: Temira (Tall)
Surname: Una
Species: Maned Wolf
Age: Eight seasons
Gender: Femme
Size: A little less than three feet at the shoulder
.:.Pelage.:
Coat: This fae’s coat is absurd; upon a first glimpse she would seem as if she was a bear-like fox, for the base coat is a golden orange with a white tail. Her long, stilt-like limbs darken dramatically; her lithe paws are a near black hue. Along the base of her neck to her slender withers runs a thick mane of black, course hair, hence her breed’s name: Maned Wolf. Her ears are tipped in black although trimmed in white; her muzzle ends in a black. Her entire coat with the exception of her mane is silky.
Opticals: Temira’s eyes are that of a deep, glistening brown, with tinges of green and a silver-black.
.:.Bodice.:.
Body: Temira’s legs are much longer than that of a normal Varg; many would believe she is a superb runner and although she is an excellent sprinter, as the word suggests she cannot keep up her zipping speeds for very long; her native home of South America gave her a trudging, ambling pace so that she would be able to walk for miles upon end without tiring.
Her ears are twice the size of that of a normal Varg as well; tufts of white fur poke out from their inside-tops and they are more from the sides of her russet skull than anything else. These auds give her astounding hearing, and as they can swerve to search behind her they are very peculiar indeed.
Her tail is long and not as thick as some; it is often hung low although this is usually not from submission of fear. Her maw is long and tapered, and she has a great sense of smell as well as hearing. Her overall form is long and slender, and her thin coat doesn’t help this gangly appearance much…
.:.Persona.:.
Personality: Temira is sweet and friendly to most, although those Vargs who delight in the strife and sorrows of others are apt to experience her temper. Her usual air is that of a gentle, calm wolf, but when she feels she is being threatened her personality changes drastically. Temira is a proud and sometimes defiant wolf, and despite her quietness she is outspoken and bold.
History: Born in South America with her mother Gin and her father Boaz, Temira is one of five sisters, each named to suit this exquisite breed: Caoiveu, meaning night; Kaori, or strong, for this sister was the largest muscle-wise, Femina, by her parents belief that the name actually met femme- it did not…; Ros, the shorter version of rose- her father’s loving surname for Gin. And finally there was Temira, meaning tall, for all maned wolves have a natrual height. Una was her nickname by her father, who favored Caoiveu, Temira, and Femina over both Ros and Kaori, because both happened to surly and mean, while the other three fae were sweet and gentle.
On the arrival of an unwanted group of animal biologists, Boaz, Gin and their five daughters were captured and taken by plane to a zoo in Colorado- far from their native home of South America. Sadly, Gin was infected with a deadly disease during transport and died as she was reunited with Boaz- the male taught her daughters all wild things need known to them before he too died.
Femina, Ros, and Temira were on a flight to Hungary with a single gray wolf, a male, when a sudden storm and turbulence brought the plane to a mid-air halt; plummeting downwards it crashed, killing the pilot, the only handler onboard, and Femina and Ros. The male wolf, Quinn, was elderly and weak, but he managed to aid Temira before his own death- nearly crossing the small mountains into Transylvania.
Seeing the moorlands as a way to forget her past, Temira stumbled down the mountains into Transylvania- a new life.
.:.Extras.:.
Una is nocturnal, so she rarely ventures out in the daylight, as it causes her vision to become impaired.
As a maned wolf, she is omnivorous, so she eats things such as bird eggs, lizards, frogs, as well as varying flora.
