Name: Tamra
Gender: Male
Position: First of the Balkar
Family: Son of the Dragga Kerv and the Drappa Serna of the Traer Pack. Serna has since passed on, and Kerv has taken Lunr as he new mate and Drappa.
Brothers: Ranv (elder) and Tren (younger). Ranv continues to live outside Carpathia, with his mate Lila and his family. He fathered Tenro, a Lacan who serves Tamra to this day. Tren lives as does a Kerl, for now atleast.
Sisters: Bryta (younger). Mated to Skov. Though together they started their own pack, Bryta died the following winter.
Appearance: His rough ebony coloured pelt shows some greying around his muzzle and chest area, though do not let this decieve you. Powerful muscles lay hidden beneath his scraggy appearance, and the many scars that adorn his body are proof of his skill and cunning. The most noticeable one, starting just above his left eye then running diagonally across his muzzle till his right cheek, was given to him by Hunr, late First of the Balkar. Both ears are torn and tattered, though his dark forest green eyes show that strength isn’t his only advantage.
History: Third of a litter of five, Tamra grew up outside the lands of Carpathia amongst the love and kindness of the Traer pack. He left his family during his second spring, the adventurours heart beating strong within his breast, meeting a faemme named Kera on his long travels. They instantly fell in love, travelling together to lands a new, where they might start their very own pack, and raise their sons and daughters. This dream came closer to reality, when the following spring, Kera found herself with cub. Then tradgedy struck. Their dwelling was sited near the infamous Balkar territory, and Tamra, having grown up in another land, knew nothing of their fearsome existance. It was after returning from a hunting trip that he found his beloved mate dead, with a huge grey wolf stood over her body.
Greif and violent rage overcame him, and before he’d even registered his movement, was in fierce battle with Hunr, First of the Balkar. It was a long and bloody battle, but eventually Tamra took a killing hold on Hunr’s throat, his teeth ripping at the flesh while his claws simultaneously slashed. Hunr died soon after, and had it not been the feverant wish to spite the murderer, Tamra would have followed. Instead he lived, and unbeknownst to him, was the new First of the Balkar. Once he’d recovered, some moons later, he returned to slaughter the Balkar, his grief sending him to madness, but instead discovered his gravest misunderstanding. Hunr, or indeed any of the Balkar, were innocent of Kera’s murder. It’d been a fatal case of wrong place, wrong time. The murderers were a twisted pack from across the lands. They’d come to challenge the Balkar, and instead slaughtered the only wolf Tamra had ever loved.
Now duty bound to leadership, Tamra assumed the role of First, leading the Nighthunters to where they are today. His only alliance is with those of List, for his Second, Leohlic, grew to be the embodiment of a son Tamra had never known.
Personality: Tamra's view of the world is very black and white. You are either friend or foe. Should you choose to be the latter, then he will deal with you accordingly, normally with tooth or claw. Believing firmly that there can be no weakness in duty, only pride and courage, Tamra is not a very easy wolf to get along with. His stone like indifference may seem cold and distant, but he longs to live as others do. Despite this, his temper is one to be reckoned with, and should you anger him, then either you accept death, or be more fleet of foot than a deer.
