//Rawr, I wanted to post this 'cause I never posted a birthing post before. Hope you don't mind Yelae!//
Cold. It was really the first thing that came to mind. One moment, she was peacefully curled up in a ball, nice and warm. The next, she was laying in something, and she was cold. It was absurd. Tshe only thing tshe pup wanted to do now was crawl back from where she came from, even if it was ridiculously tight. Who in their right mind had the nerve to remove her! This place- it wasn’t right. The pup struggled to lift his head, and move his paws. This place seemed to hold her down, it was much harder to move. Not to mention the floor seemed to be sticking to her wet body. It was soft, but in a clingy way. The pup called out, helplessly. she could tell because the cords in his neck started to vibrate, almost like when she took his first breath. Wait, no. This was different. she was making noise, she was calling out. But what good was calling out to someone if you couldn’t hear them call back?
Wet. Wet and warmth spread instantly across her body. She didn’t know what it was at the moment, but it felt good. Something big was stroking his back, something big and wet. Hot air was blown on her, the pup felt she was alive again. Her chest expanded more, and his call became stronger. Still, the question remained: where was she? In minutes what thin fur she had was dry, for the most part. The floor still clung to his underbelly, as she tried to crawl.
Heat. she could feel something giving off heat, something nearby. That was what she was crawling to, or trying to, at least. It seemed like her little paws weren’t doing much good, for all she could do is move them back and forth. She was starting to feel frustrated, until the hot air blowing on her returned, and nudged her toward the heat. Gently, she could feel the warmth of a body that she did his best to snuggle up to. She could feel another body, next to her. It was also warm, and squirmed greatly. She could feel the rise and fall of the breath from the body next to her, as it settled down. Was he calling too? She couldn’t tell. But she knew this body was like her, and was with her in the other world.
Hunger. A pain rang in his belly, as the pup became suddenly hungry. she had to find food, and something told her it was near. With the help of a big wet nose, she pushed around the big warm body for something- she knew it was there. she could feel her brother moving around too- perhaps he was hungry. It wasn’t long before she found her mother’s teat- the source of food. she couldn’t really taste anything, but she felt the warm thick liquid in his mouth. Yes, this was food.
Still. It was only a matter of moments afterward, that the cub around her became still. Soon, she too had her share, and only sleep waited for her now. Her body, now warm and full, became still like the other. Each cub, asleep as they were, rose and fall with each individual breath, at each individual pace.

(OOC: Wow I feel really out of place in this thread. Sorry if my post is bad, I can’t really get into character for this thread.)
As the ritual of birth went on, more and more of Ge-Rad’s family would arrive. The unknowns that the bi-colored fae had yet too meet during her very short time in her new home. First there was the red fae that crept out of the forest with her snake light optics. She certainly held a mischievous presence about herself. That Krystal could tell from her movements and gaze. Through Kairi’s lyrics, the bi-hued fae would learn that she was indeed Shako’s sister. Soon after a second wolf would appear, a mostly ivory man with a patch of ebon on his face and paw. He too much like Kairi, paid little to know attention to the newcomer, and focused his attention on his younger brother and Beta of Ge-Rad. Just how many more wolves existed in the Ge-Radian family that the bi-hued fae didn’t know about? With each moment that passed Krystal felt more and more out of place in this gathering of Ge-Radians.
Even more disturbing, was the realization that the few vargs she did know where no where to be found. Ayasha and Kaemon who had greeted the femora on her arrival were no where to be seen. The only familiar form to her pinto pools was that of the amber Dragga. Yet he too was concerned about the events of Yelae’s birth, and comforting the father to be. It was natural for a new varg to feel out of place in an event such as this around so many she had never seen before. Mostly ignored, Shako at last brought his golden pools on the former Zanguzen. Yet the lyrics she had been expecting from the worried father were quite far from what she had expected. His words held the aura of distaste blended with protection. Of course he had the right to say such things. Paternal instincts had kicked into 6th gear for the ivory male. And here stood this stranger that no one except for Draeg knew anything about.
Krystal wouldn’t get the chance to respond to the Beta. Far more important matters needed to be attended too. Like the greeting of his brother bane, and the call of his mate who had just summoned the ivory Beta. She watched as Shako left the scene to tend to Yelae within the den, leaving a rather bewildered bi-colored Zanguzen in his wake. She had only spent a few days with her new family, and what did Krystal have to show for it? The cold shoulder of an ivory Beta, coupled with being ignored by Ge-Rad’s family, given so much as a glance for her troubles. Things were indeed starting out rocky for Krystal here in her new home. Turning her gaze on the amber Dragga, she remembered what he had said to her during the fury of Wolfbane’s winter only a few suns ago, how she would fit in perfectly within his tightly nit family. That certainly wasn’t the case on this sun, as the new addition to Ge-Rad was being shunned from every angle, not even so much as a greeting.
Krystal understood, but was still saddened as a sigh escaped her ebon maw and she rested on her stomach. From her vantage point, her emerald and sapphire pools watched the events unfold from inside the den. She could only guess what the cubs would look like. Perhaps they would all be ivory, like their mother and father. “I made a mistake coming here.” Krystal spoke to herself. A kerl’s life now felt more inviting, and a lot easier to handle then the hospitality Ge-Rad had showed her. For now she would stay, until someone would tell the fae to depart, that this wasn’t the place for newcomers. Was this how a Sikla felt all the time? Perhaps her father was right, in that no Zanguzen could find a home in another pack. Everything he had spoken so far had come to pass, and Krystal now felt even more as though she didn’t belong in this glorious event or in Ge-Rad for that matter.

The strength somewhat returning to the she-wolf, she manages to raise her head towards her mate who had just answered, and formed a better arc around the cubs in attempts to keep them warm. She wasn't going to let the elements get to them, and being especially vulnerable Yelae wasn't going to take that chance.
Shako's presence made everything calmer, at least for her. Despite being rather exuberant and loud about his children's birth, the mere fact that Shako was here with her calmed the young mother down. Also the fact that the others were waiting outside.
Green-blue eyes blink as she looks at Shako. Names...well, she knew they were forgetting something. Names weren't even discussed between the two during her pregancy. In fact, the thought never truly crossed her mind. Until Shako brought it up.
Being put on the spot, Yelae somewhat panicked inwardly, only noticable to herself. Looking down at her cubs, then back at Shako, she pondered over what he had said. Would it be greedy to name both? Uncaring to not name either of them and let only Shako do it? Or picking favorites already when naming only one.
Shaking her head, she decides the final one seemed lesser than what she made it out to be. Two was an equal number. There were only two of them, and therefore each could name one of their children. It seemed fair enough.
"Well..." her voice sounded slightly weary, but filled with maternal bliss, as one should expect. "I've always liked the name Kenjo for the boy..." Her voice trails off. This was true, and considering the name had no ties to her old pack, it wouldn't bring forth dreadful memories everytime she stated her cub's name. For example, if she was to name her daughter Rose, well...the constant thought of her mother would sadden her.
And Yelae hoped she would never be like her mother. Not at all.
Changing the subject of her thoughts quickly, she looks towards Shako. "What do you think, Shako?"

Uskiya gave a frown at Shako's response that she barely heard, but obviously he had been upset with the new varg. Uskiya knew she was the new member, but didn't know much else. The new beta femme and still nurse of Ge-rad let out a sigh and approached the bi0hued varg. "Please don't take what he said to heart." She gave a smile. In all the excitment she had barely noticed anyone else besides, Darag, Yelae and Shako. Kairi and a varg she had not met.
Though Uskiya had never really spoken with Kairi, she was still part of Ge-rad and deserved a greeting, as every varg did. "Good to see you again Kairi." she nodded her head and then gave another nod to the varg she hadn't met. Turning once again to the newest member of Ge-rad. She padded over and sat down.
"This has been a long awaited day in Ge-rad. You must not feel bad about things. Everyone is so hectic that anyone new is likely to be swallowed up and not noticed." Uskiya knew to well the feeling of being rejected, the feeling of everything was your fault, you'd never amount to nothing. Her parents, well her pack had tried to murder her. Surely she could relate to the bi-hued she varg.
"I know what I say might not mean much, but I'm sure you will fit in just fine. Ge-rad has been through some tough times and I hat eto say it but we are not our usual selves." She knew that Ge-rad appeared less friendly than it truly was. For some reason things didn't seem the same and it seemed nearly impossible to fix it. But she shrugged her shoulders. Waiting to see if Yelae would need anything else.

//Very sorry, been museless for the longest time, and sorry that this post isn't the best. -.-//Turning to the mouth of the den, his gaze upon the silver nurse, Shakó gave a quick wag of the tassel and licked the air, a gesture of thanks. He was indeed grateful that Uskiya was here to help out Yelae, and was sure atleast he couldn’t have gotten through this without her. Indeed, the sight of her did bring comfort to his knowledge, even if he didn’t express it very well.
Shakó laid his head on top of Yelae’s withers with care, his bright gold eyes shinning with pride as the little cubs squirmed around, trying to drink their mother’s milk. Both had coats of white, with silver markings (correct Yelae? Meh, I‘m a bad at remembering ^^. Shakó only wondered what colors lye beneath their sealed lids. “I like Kenjo,” Shakó whispered, giving his rightfully tired mate a quick lick on the ear, his features glowing.
The male turned his attention to the little girl, she seemed less restless than the male, Kenjo. Shakó thought for a moment, and only one name came to mind. “Kehré,” Shakó whispered. “What about that, for the girl?” he asked Yelae. The name was familiar to him, for it was the name of his recently deceased mother. She was sweet, and was the only one from his whelping pack that deserved acknowledgement. She was the only one to stand up to his father, the only one to love her cubs for who they were, not what they looked like. It only made sense to him, to celebrate her life by naming this cub after her.
