It was morning and Fenris was slowly coming over the horizon bringing it's light and warmth throughout the land of Transylvania. Clouds of white dashed across the sea of blue as a gentle breeze blew through the air making the grass sway in the wind. A brown paw stepped on the grass leaving a paw-shaped print into the soil. Cyan hues looked up and flickered toward it's surroundings. Rai padded cautiously and taking eager sniffs at the ground hoping to detect the familiar scents of his past home. Meanwhile taking the time to growl and scare off Lera from their nests. Growling triumphly he continued on until he saw a familiar forest of deciduous trees and now increasing his speed and taking a sniff. Yes, he could tell the Ge-rad scent markings, and the Dragga's proud son had finally reached his destination.
It seemed almost yesterday that he was wandering through this area with his brother, mother, and father. The amber pup had one day sneaked away from the den when his mother left the Ge-rad borders. Having the adventuous blood in his veins he decided to explore and go farther than what his parents had marked out for him. No long after that he got lost and a scared pup he was but excited at the same time. Many moons later he travelled throughout Transylvania and each day was more exciting than the next. However, at nights he missed the comfort he had in his old den with his brother and mother, and taking the time to look into the sky and wonder where they were at the moment. Rai had just recently returning from the stone castle and encountering another varg his age by the name of Sliver, who was an interesting character by befriending the scavengers. However, he believed that he had just made his first friend ever since he left and it lifted his heart ever higher. But now, he was back to the beginning. He had returned to Ge-rad, his previous home. The amber varg had returned because he had missed his parents and his brother, not being in their presence for so long. The pack itself only meant something to him because his father was the Dragga, everyone else could be considered a stranger except for the nurse who raised him. This was just a visit, he had no intention of staying as he planned to continue his exploration hoping that the days ahead would be just as exciting.
Rai continued his path until he saw the familiar path that lead to the dens. Hopefully his mother had returned from her journey and that his brother was still there. Something he didn't realize was that he entered the land without Tratto's Blessing. But since he was the son of the Dragga of this pack he was free to come and go whenever he wished right? Though the eyes of others he was now a kerl and his scent no longer was like the land he was in. This wasn't going to brother the young varg as he continued his path looking for the vargs he knew from the earlier stages of his childhood.
(Anyone feel free to come in, but I want my mom and dad here though

“Well now, what have we here?” Draeg growled, raising his brow in amusement as he emerged from the tangled briar where he had been watching the young dragga. “A Kerl crossing the borders, without asking Larka’s Blessing no less.” The amber Dragga had been busy renewing the invisible border lines surrounding Ge-Rad and patrolling the pack boundaries when he had spotted Raikan crossing the threshold into Ge-Rad. At first Draeg thought to drive him off, not recognizing the younger dragga immediately, but hesitated, a deep sense of unease having kept him from charging the strange Kerl. Seeing that the youngster had every intention of wandering further into the packlands Draeg decided to intercept him before he could venture too far, knowing that while he may have been hesitant to harm the shallow youth the next varg he ran into might have no such qualms striking the Kerl. The amber varg had been getting ready to reveal himself when he suddenly caught wind of the youngsters scent, the realization that he was staring at his own son finally dawning upon him.
It had been nearly five moons since the amber Dragga had returned to Ge-Rad after setting out to rescue his eldest son, Kop, from one of man’s villages only to find that the pack he had known and love had changed drastically in the time that he had been gone, his beloved mate and Drappa having fallen ill and several of his fellow packmates having left Ge-Rad for reasons unknown shortly after his departure. Amongst the varg to have disappeared was Draeg’s only daughter, Shayla, as well as the beautiful Firefly, whom Draeg loved dearly and had even taken as his second mate, and their offspring, the young dragga’s Zenith and Raikan. However in the days following his triumphant return the pack gradually began to return its former glory as each of its members returned one by one until at last it was almost exactly as it had been when the Dragga of Ge-Rad had set out on his venture. Looking down at his son now Draeg couldn’t help but swell with pride as he noticed what a fine dragga the young pup had grown into, though he found that he couldn’t help wonder where Raikan had disappeared to. “I was hoping you’d at least wait for me to return before you decided to leave. At least that way your mother and I wouldn’t have had to worry about you so much. And for Garm's sake, learn to ask Larka's Blessing before entering another packs territory, I almost attacked you!” He growled, clearly annoyed with his son. Bumping his head affectionately he continued. “How’ve you been? And where’s your brother, or did you two finally go your separate ways?”

Continuing to follow the trail that brought him down into his own memory lane. The trail where he first greeted his father when he came to Dragga. Countless tussles with his brother. The thing that led to his shelter and warmth with his family. A small smile curled at the edges of his mouth as he thought about this. A familiar warm feeling filled his insides as he continued to walk slowly down the trail his eyes occasionally flickering to every spot and bring happy images and thoughts into his mind. However, a small part of him told him that he was going to leave all this. Everything's going to change and it was for the best, and that he shouldn't get too attached before he left these lands.
Rai let out a loud bark as he saw the familiar pair of trees which meant that he was only a few meters away before...a sound of a twig snapping caused his ears to perk up and a scent ever so familiar entered his nostrils. Freezing on the spot as he knew exactly who it was and he turned slowly to face the Dragga of Ge-rad. "Dad." he whispered. His father looked almost the same since he last saw him. The amber fur in which he inherited and the bushy banner in which he would always hold high. However, something different was that a little taller and he was reaching his father's chin and the view he got was slightly different. Letting out a loud yip of joy as he ran toward father giving his an assault of licks and nuzzles. Feeling slightly guilty when he mentioned how they were so worried in his absence, but then again they didn't expect him to stay in the den for the whole time did they? Deciding not to speak and just nodding his head slightly and purposely avoiding eye contact. He knew that he was going to have to give a logical explaination to why he had been gone so long and why he left in the first place. But he was going to let them know later, at least when everyone was here so he can only tell it once. He chuckled slightly at his father's scolding. "Well, if they dared hurt your son you'll kick them out of here right?" chuckled Rai. "Besides, I am sure that your packmates know better than to just rashly attack some stranger who might be coming for a visit. And...I've been doing fantastic dad, been travelling around these parts and I'll tell you more about it when I see mom and bro okay?"
Jumping slightly off the ground to tug at his father's ears and laughing. However, his smile faltered slightly when he heard his father's next comment. What his just father said means was his brother was not in Ge-rad. He had a longing to see his brother again as he was the one where he wanted to share every single one of his adventures. The one that understood him the most can see why he left Ge-rad in the first place, instead of all the other adults just scolding him for leaving without notifying them. Looking down at the ground sadly he spoke, "No dad, I haven't seen bro ever since I left. I..I thought that he might be still here in Ge-rad with you all." This means that a small part of the journey had been a loss. He loved his mother and father very much, but Zen was something different. "By the way dad, where's mom? I want to see her before I set off again."

Despite his ire Draeg couldn’t help but smile as Raikan rushed to greet him, letting out a slight whine as he was met with an array of affectionate licks and loving nuzzles. He knew that he really couldn’t blame his son for wanting to set out on his own and see just what the world had to offer, after all it was normal for a varg his age to start spending more time away from the pack to test the limits of his skills and prowess. However the amber Dragga couldn’t help but worry, he was the pup’s father after all and would do everything in his power to make sure that Raikan never had to endure the same pain and torment Kop had to endure. As much as he might try to see him in a different light Draeg knew that no matter how old Raikan got in his eyes he would always be the same little pup he had chased across the den alongside Firefly, such feelings were equally as strong for each of the amber Dragga’s children.
Bumping his head against the pup’s chest affectionately he batted a playful paw at the young hybrid, showing his pleasure at having been reunited with his son and secretly marveling at how much Raikan had grown throughout the passage of his absence. When he had last seen Raikan both he and his brother had barely stood taller then the elder varg’s knee, however the passage of time had worked its magic on the wolf pup transforming him into a fine Dragga. Stepping back Draeg took a moment to thoroughly examine his son, noting the changes he had undergone during his absence. Raikan’s limbs were no longer oversized and he held none of his previous clumsiness that had been present during his cub hood, the once light downy pelt he had sported as a pup had thickened and darkened to a diluted amber, his features had matured though he still retained a few of his more puppish features. For the most part Raikan resembled his father to the letter though there were some slight differences between the two, the most noticeable being his eyes which were a startling blue courtesy of Firefly. A surge of pride swept through Draeg as he concluded his examination of his son, a hint of a smile forming on his weathered muzzle.
Noticing that Raikan seemed to be avoiding his gaze Draeg offered him a quick nuzzle, allowing his tongue to sweep across the self-appointed Kerls forehead as though to show that he wasn’t as upset as he had originally let on. “Hey, don’t mind me alright.” He growled soothingly. “You know how I am, I just don’t want you to get hurt that’s all.” Upon hearing Raikan’s comment his features hardened. “For attacking someone passing by, yes, for driving out an intruder, no. Most kerls have sense enough to ask either Tratto or Larka’s Blessing before they wander into another varg’s territory let alone a packs!” he barked, eying his son sternly. “You may be my son but that doesn’t mean you can just come and go as you please. Remember that you’re a kerl now, you’ll always have a home here but you have to remember to ask for permission before entering the pack boundaries. The same rule applies for every pack. The last thing I want is for you to get killed for trespassing without permission. Now as far as anyone ever hurting you…” Draeg smiled, lowering his head slightly so that he could whisper into Raikan’s ear. “I will kill anyone that so much as scratches you, regardless of who they are. Only your mother and I are allowed to cuff you, anyone else is as good as dead.”
Seeing that Raikan knew nothing of his brother’s disappearance
Upon learning that Zenith hadn’t been traveling with his brother Draeg groaned, his thoughts immediately turning towards the elder hybrid. “What? You mean he’s not with you?” he groaned. “You kids are going to be the death of me one day, I swear.” Then in response to Raikan’s last question pertaining to the whereabouts of his mother. “How would I know?” he growled, almost bitterly. “I haven’t seen her since she got back from her journey, she just up and vanished on me.”
