light grey paws crushed the sweet dew-stained grass, claws left tiny imprints in the damp soil. twilight had settled snugly onto the serene landscape of this faemme's old pack. at least, she wasn't sure if she could still call it hers. it had been a long while since she had belonged. she only hoped that the Alphas had not changed, and that she herself had not been forgotten. black nose twitched as an owl hooted haughtily at its well-earned feast being interrupted and flew off into the shadows, it's talons clutching the half eaten mouse. the wolf's steely grey eyes stared at it with an indifferent air, what was unusual about this faemme was a dash of amber in her right eye. mostly, she resembled her mother, grey pelt darkening to the darkest of greys along her back. she had onyl the dash of amber in her eye and her long bushy tail in her appearance that showed she was her father's daughter.
Shayla shook her head almost sadly. she had taken a trip for many moons now. she'd been gone for so long she recognised only a handful of the scents marking GeRad's borders, she had grown in that time aswell. not only in body but in mind and personality too. she had travelled in the cold harsh world, and realised she was far from the protection of her brothers and her parents. in her solace and isolation, her personality had taken on traits of the cold world around her. but the change had been so gradual, she had hardly noticed it. she knew she was not the varg she had once been, but that barely mattered anymore.
shuffling her pelt self-consciously and glancing back at her side to see if her fur hid the still healing wound she had most recently acquired, she continued on, delving deeper into the depths of GeRad's territory. she had not marked her arrival with a call, as she otherwise might have done so many moons ago. and she knew she probably would be scolded for coming back so silently. but she had to shrug her shoulders at that. what really mattered here was that she was here. again. Shayla was back home.

Darkness. That was it. No sound besides the light breathing of a brown he-varg. It was almost pitch black as the light from the Tor did not shine as brightly with the clouds of Wolfbane surrouding it. The land of Ge-rad was ever so still and silent. Nothing moved and the vargs of this pack slept peacefully in the night...except one. Cal rolled over inside the den, thoughts from the days event still nagged at him and he couldn't sleep. The very same morning he had met up with his Dragga, who had disappeared for so many moons looking for his lost son. Eventually the reunion touched into his family matters which he was depressed and bitter about it. Other than that, it had been a joyful event and his day had been mixed with both happiness and sorrow. Getting onto his feet and letting out a small grown, his yellow eyes glowed eerie in the darkness. Now would be a good time, surely his mate and his cubs would have slept by now? He would be able to sneak quietly to their den, take a quick look and come back. Nodding to himself he exited the den, taking a deep breath of the crispy cool air that filled the evening.
His large brown paws carrying him over the grass, the soil still rich with moisture making it slightly slippery to be trodded on. Looking ahead he noticed the familiar pack of trees that would lead to Uskiya's den. Now completely silent and letting night be his cloak aganist other vargs that might be strolling around at this hour. Suddenly, there was a faint sound that reached his ears. Spinning around quickly in the opposite direction, he saw a small shape heading this way. With the moonlight being so dim it was undistinguishable who it was but it didn't seem like someone that belonged to this pack. Was a spy from Balkar or Sarnes? A lone-stroller in the middle of the night? Curiousity and annoyance taking control he chased after the shadow. Finally coming close enough so his words would which their ears. "Who are you and what is your business for wandering so late into Ge-rad Terra?" The clouds cleared slightly to reveal a shining grey coat. There was something familiar about this varg. The coat resembled their Drappa's but looking at the size it wasn't her. It wasn't Cwen, it was..."Shayla!" growled Cal. "You've come back"

ice crept through Shayla's veins from her thumping heart to her limbs, freezing them in place, altogether bringing her to a sudden halt, paw still raised in mid air. dark ears pricked at the growling voice that boomed across the gap between her and this varg, commanding her to stop and proclaim her business in these lands. even before her grey eyes flickered over to spy out his form, Shayla knew that she recognised his voice. as the great mass of clouds in the heavens parted silver light spilled down from above, obviously enguh for this wolf to recognise her. a small smile twitched at the corners of her mouth, the first signs of a smile that had appeared on her face for a long time.
her limbs were released from the lock she had placed upon them and she turned round to face her old friend, stepping closer to him. a name cam back to her in an instant. Cal.
the meagre efforts of the muscles at the corners of her mouth transformed into a brilliant smile, reminiscent of the ones she used to crack so much as a young pup. 'hello Cal.' she said, and nodded ever so slightly. 'and looks as if i am doesnt it? ... back...' she tilted her head to the side slightly. 'home.' she murmured, wondering at the way the word sounded as it rolled of her tongue. she supposed that of all the places in Transylvania, this was the place she belonged to the most.
she shook her head vigourously. dregs of what should go on in a normal conversation werre slowly coming back to her. she hadnt had a friendly conversation with a varg since she left. she half-wondered if she could remember the art of conversation. 'its been too long my old friend. whats new?'

Yellow orbs staring slightly disbelievingly at her. He moved closer and using the light given to him examined her closely by looking up and down. It had been a long time since he saw the grey pup, but judging by her appearance, the days of a pup were long gone. She had grown, her pelt was now a dark grey almost a clone of her mother Cwen. The difference was the amber dash across her orbs which was the small gene that belonged to her father. Remembering the time when she was a small pup by the river hopping over his large paws but now she had grown just below his chin-level and could probably fully jump over him if she wanted to. "Look at you, gone for a little awhile and you're all grown. I'm especially delight to see you again. Come out here so Uncle Cal can get a good look at ya." chuckled Cal using his paw to brush Shay on top of the head. "Like daughter like father I guess, your father just returned this morning and now your arrival is right on time." It was a special day indeed, slowly the packmembers were returning, and this pack would be whole once more.
He looked slightly confused as Shay shook her head furiously. Deciding to remain still and wait till she finished. Perhaps she was trying to tell him something by shaking her head? "Yes, it has been awhile hasn't it...?" said Cal slowly. "What's new with me? Well, there was some things that happened, but the thing that stuck out the most was probably the journey I went on in search of your father. Two moons after he left I decide to come after him. With my assistance there was probably a higher chance of getting your brother back. But I searched and searched, couldn't find them. Encountered a couple of those dogs from the human camps though and they either don't know or refused to give me information. To my disappointment and after moons of searching I had to return to the pack." Taking a deep breath as he finished. He completely left his mate out his little story partly because he still didn't think that Shayla should know about his problems. Physically she had grown, but he wasn't sure if she would understand something that was complicated. However, he was curious where she had gone for so many moons, Draeg had left him in charge of his daughter when he left only to find that she disappeared several moons later. For this Cal felt slightly guilty but now that he found Shay today, he could find out exactly what happened. Developing a slightly sterner look he spoke "Yes, that's pretty much about me. How about you? Where have you gone for so long...? If you wanted to go exploring at least notify someone in the pack."

Cold sweat clinging to his full, rich pelt like dew in the early morning the amber Dragga of Ge-Rad made his way through the forested regions of his pack’s territory, the silence of the night broken by the joint sounds of scattered debris crackling beneath his large paws with each step and his own heavy breathing. It normally was not in Draeg’s nature to be awake after sunset unless it was in the best interest of his pack or to spend a little more much needed time with his family, however not tonight. Ever since his night terrors had resurfaced the amber wolf’s dreams had been haunted by images of the past, at first they had had only plagued him once every couple of weeks but lately the nightmares seemed to be coming more and more frequently. No matter what it was always the same dream, of memories that he had long since locked away in the furthest reaches of his mind in a feeble attempt to forget. Dreams of man and the torments they had put him through all for the sake of satisfying their unfulfillable need for entertainment. It was coming to the point that the amber Dragga could scarcely make it through the night without waking up in a cold sweat. Unfortunately tonight was one such night, having been unable to conquer his fears and go back to sleep Draeg had left the den and set out to calm his nerves.
He had taken the utmost care not to disturb Firefly, having chosen to remain with tan femme for the night so that she would not feel neglected. Still shaken from his unworldly ordeal he had decided to engage in a brief patrol of the borders, hoping that the midnight stroll would help take his mind off his dream and calm him enough so that he could return to the den before he was missed. His muscles rippling beneath his thick amber coat he moved through the vast reaches of the forest like only a wolf could, padding effortlessly along the slick dew-coated grass upon lithe paws with all the grace his kind had inherited throughout countless generations and years of evolution. The night was dark, Tor’s normally constant presence obscured amidst a sea of dark clouds that seemed to stretch out across the endless sky so that it was a sea of darkness in which no light could penetrate. A gift from Wolfbane? Perhaps, but that didn’t matter. Even without the comforting presence of wolf goddess to guide him Draeg had no trouble navigating his way along the borders of his domain, blessed with the gift of night vision his eyes glowed an ominous blue-white in the darkness.
Soon he found himself near the spot where he had encountered the Ge-Ridian emissary Cal earlier during the day, it had been the first time either varg had seen each other since Draeg had left to retrieve Kop and the pair had spent a great deal of the morning catching up with one another and getting reacquainted. All in all it had been a pleasant reunion. As he trotted through the bastion of trees and vegetation he became aware of the distinct sounds of growling off in the distance, raising an aud in an attempt to see if he could identify the familiar sounds he quickly identified the broadcaster to be Cal. After their discussion earlier it wasn’t hard for Draeg to figure out why the brown wolf was roaming Ge-Rad at this hour, knowing that Cal had probably felt the need to make one last patrol before finally attempting to rest. His way of coping with his own problems Draeg surmised. Still part of the amber wolf was glad that emissary was up and about, he was rather fond of their little chats and it comforted him to know that there was someone for him to talk to nearby.
However Draeg found himself wondering who his friend was talking to, for as long as he had known the brown wolf Cal had always went about performing his patrols alone. Furthermore he was not exactly known for talking to himself, at least not to Draeg’s knowledge but then again he the last time he had seen Cal had been earlier in the morning, his friend could’ve change in the moons that he had been gone. Had he finally decided to seek out his mate in an attempt to apologize for his neglect and work things out with his family, or perhaps he had run into one of his children while making his patrol. His interest aroused altering his course Draeg began making his way over in the direction of his friend, if this was going to be a family issue he might as well be there to make sure that things didn’t get out hand. After all he was becoming an expert on this sort of thing and besides, besides he might be able to pick up a few pointers for the next time he had to apologize to either of his mates if things went well.
Lithe paws carrying him silently over the soft soil Draeg followed the trail his friend had paved out for him, the ground beneath his feet having been worn down from constant usage so that it formed a clear path towards the pack borders. It wasn’t long before he spotted Cal, the brown wolf was standing in the clearing alongside another varg, probably Uskiya, looking rather excited about something. Thinking his friend had solved his problems with his mate the amber varg began making his way down to the pair to congratulate them, making no effort to hide his presence as he padded into the clearing. However as he drew closer he immediately realized that Uskiya was not present nor were any of his friends offspring, confused Draeg instinctively found himself becoming more cautious about approaching the pair but continued with his advance. He stopped as finally caught sight of her in the pale moonlight, her already silver gray fur glowing softly in milky radiance of the wolf goddess.
At first he thought it was Cwen but quickly cast the notion aside, seeing that she was too small to be his beloved mate. For some reason he couldn’t comprehend the amber Dragga felt himself becoming excited and his eyes shifted to her tail, noting the distinct similarity it bore to his own bushy tassel. Could it be? The last time he had seen her she hadn’t even reached his chest, but that had been moons ago and now, gauging her height in comparison to Cal’s, he saw that she would be nearly as tall as he was. Draeg felt a pang of regret tug away at his heart, she had grown up and he hadn’t been there to see it happen. He had missed his daughter grow up. “Shayla.” He whispered, more to himself than to anybody. Breaking out into a full blown run he raced toward his daughter, passing Cal without so much as a second glance as he made to great his offspring. Whining softly he licked her face lovingly, nuzzling her and brushing against her side affectionately like only a father could. “Where have you been, I thought I told you never to stray to far from the pack without either your mother or me? You weren’t even there to greet me and Kop when we came back.” he chided gently, clearly trying to be stern with her and failing. "Oh, I've missed you so much! How have you been my little one?"
After a moment he finally managed the strength to tear himself away from his daughter though he continued examining her, smiling when upon seeing just how much she looked like her mother. She was an identical replica of her mother in almost every single way save for her tail which she had inherited from him along with a tiny flaw in her eye, a speck of amber within her otherwise blue-gray optic, which both parents saw as a sign of great character and prided greatly. Noticing her side he gave out a furious snarl, his ears flattening upon his head and baring his fangs menacingly so that his face twisted into a mask of rage. “Who did this to you?”

The moonlight lit up the clearings and shone threw the gaps in the canopy, causing the paw trodden paths below on the forest ground to dapple in milky pools. A large female varg, who had been roused by the celebrity hoots of an owl who had been successful in it’s night of hunting and was in turn feeding its nest of shrieking chicks, was now treading along one of these tracks, her grizzled grey back alighting with each pool she stepped into before disappearing back into the shadows once more until reaching another cluster of milky pools. The large varg was not any Kerl, but a Drappa, the alpha female to her pack Ge-Rad. And now that she had been woken up by the noisy flying putnar, she felt it only necessary to do her rounds and check the borders. It had just so happened that a strange varg’s scent had crossed her path and she was now on the trail of it. Though unwilling to admit it, the twisted Drappa could sense something strangely familiar about the scent. Entering a small clearing where a gently trickling spring joined part of the night’s chorus of far off singing varg, crickets and owls, Cwen padded to its edge and crouched at its edge, lapping at its cool water. The sounds of others stopped her and her auds perked forward to listen intently, small water droplets clung to her pearly white chin hairs and shimmered under Tor’s pearly glow. Getting silently from her crouching position, Cwen began to creep from the clearing and melted back into the shadows of the forest, slinking soundlessly through the undergrowth and bracken, making her way closer to the sounds made by a gathering of varg. Clearly someone had reached this stranger before her, or were just her pack mates gathering for a midnight chitchat, unaware that a strange varg had crossed their borders? Either way, Cwen was going to find out and set things straight.
On reaching the edge of yet another paw trodden patch, the silvery pelted Drappa came to a slowing halt and peered from the branches and leaves of the undergrowth only to spy her emissinary Cal and her mate Draeg. Sure they were good friends and Cwen had no problem with them together…though there was a third voice amongst them that too sounded familiar…but for the life of her she couldn’t place a muzzle to it. And then the two males parted slightly, and between them a miniature clone of herself came into view. Cwen’s maw dropped and her grey hued eyes opened wide with pure shock. Was it really her? She had returned home? In disbelief, the Ge-Rad Drappa stood up from her lowered position and left the shelter of the undergrowth, padding slowly out onto the path and approaching the trio at a slow pace. Her orbs were focused on the bushy tail and then trailed up her sleek form towards those amber defaulted eyes. It was really…her. “Shayla?”

Shayla managed a wry grin as Cal commented on her having grown. she didn't notice much, as the change was so gradual. but she did know she was alot stronger than she once was, and now, bigger. she steped forward, and almost ducked out of reflex as Cal's paw came swooshing for her head. it was no agressive gesture, but a deep-throated growl came out of Shayla's throat, unwilled. and on second thoughts, not necessarily. her eyes had flashed, and now, as she realised that Cal had meant it to be friendly, she bowed her head - she had spent too long out of the company of friendly vargs. too long.
hurrying on, Shay's ear twitched. 'back? back from where?' she asked, raising her head again and cocking it to the side in interest. and her brother? he had gone in search of her brother? he heart skipped. which one has run off now? 'my brother?' she wouldnt have gone if she had known, but then again, she hadnt known that she would go so far, or be gone for so long.
at Cal's chiding she shrugged lightly. she had expected a scolding, but she expected it more from her parents. and truthfully, she hadnt thought of any explanation for her being gone. she didnt think they'd like the real reason. that she had gone out exploring one day, and found herself in the same old boring territory. only to continue on in a new direction. finding herself in new places, Shayla thought it too late to turn back, she had slept in the cover of some shrubs and the next day, instead of going back, her curiousity had kept her going. she also did not want to mention that when she had reached strange mountains and was exploring them, she spent longer than she would have wished there, for they were large and convulted. the passages and caves and steep falls and small valleys chiselled into the rock by a gushing mountain stream, they all added up to one huge labyrinth in which Shayla had gotten herself well and truly lost. she had found her way out, and had found the residents to be less than friendly. openly hostile to any varg they presumed might be staying and hunting their prey.
she didnt have much warning as she suddenly spotted the amber blur that was making towards her. she had afew seconds to recognise the wolf as her father but her welcoming yip was smothered by his greeting as he reached her. her tail coudlnt help but wag as she returned his affections.
she held her breath at his attempt at scolding, but she could tell his happiness at the fact tha she had returned was making it extremely difficult, she kept silent, lowering her gaze a little, but allowed herself a huge smile as he finished. 'i missed you too Dad.' she said quietly.
her brow furrowed for a minute at his unexpected sign of rage, but then raised in comprehension had she realised that Draeg must have spotted the healing wound on her side. at least he cant see any of the scars i have now... she mused to herself. steeling herself slightly, she shurgged half-heartedly and unwillingly stiffened. 'just a Kerl who didnt appreciate me hunting so near her abode.' she remarked flatly. 'she wasn't right in the head.'
a third voice, imbued with shock, drifted over the night's cool air to her ears and Shay's head raised expectantly, wearing a ghost of a smile. 'hello Mother..' she replied. some part of her stiffened, hopefully not visably. when it came to rules, Cwen could be so much stricter than Draeg, she wondered if she would drop the reasons for her leaving as easily as her father had. but right now, she didnt need to know. overwhelmed by the need to greet her mother and lessen the gap between them, she sprang through the gap between Cal and Draeg and licked Cwen's muzzle, rubbing herself against the fur akin to her own, drowning in the familiar smell that as a pup promised safety and security. now, with both her parents near her, and her old friend Cal, she really did feel so much more like she really was at home.

Try as he might Draeg could not bring himself to angry with daughter, despite the numerous pups he had sired in the past Shayla had been and still was his only daughter through birth. And while it was true that he loved each of his pups equally Draeg had always been captivated by his daughters innocence and charm, often allowing her to get away with more than her brothers and showing more leniency towards her acts of digression. But for all of this the amber varg was like all father in that he was fiercely protective of his daughter, seldomly letting her wander too far from the safety of the pack for fear that something might happen to her. He could still remember the night she had been born, recalling how tiny she had been and how he had silently vowed that he would never let anything happen to her. Somewhere in the farthest reaches of his mind he knew that he would never be able to fully keep his promise but for the time being at least he was determined to try.
The knowledge that someone had actually attempted to harm his daughter filled him with unbridled rage, his amber eyes smoldering darkly as he stared at her still healing side he snarled and promised painful retribution to the lera that had inflicted the unsightly wound upon his daughter. Ears shooting forward he listened intently as Shayla went on to explain how she had been attacked by a somewhat madden Kerl for apparently choosing to hunt to close to the old wolf’s territory, taking no notice to his daughter flat tone as he took hungrily in each scrap of information. “I’LL KILL ‘EM!!!” he snarled, practically roaring. “ON MY LIFE AND THOSE THAT CAME BEFORE ME I SWEAR TO GARM I WILL! I DON‘T CARE IF HER MIND HAS DETERIORATED TO THE POINT OF CARRION, ABOUSOLUTELY NO ONE TOUCHES MY LITTLE GIRL AND LIVES TO TELL ABOUT IT BE IT VARG OR SOME OTHER PATHETIC LERA!!! WHERE DID HIS HAPPEN?”
Another voice sounded out from the darkness before Draeg could get his answer, turning to see who had intruded upon his conversation he felt his ears drop as he found suddenly himself staring at the shocked form of Cwen. Shayla shot past him before he could say anything, the adolescent she-varg leaping through the space between Draeg and Cal as she ran to greet her mother. Draeg watched as in no time at all both femme were together, nuzzling one another and licking each others muzzles affectionately as moons of solitude and sadness were quickly forgotten. Eyes softening at the sight the amber Dragga felt his anger diminish as he temporarily allowed himself to forget about his thoughts of vengeance, he watched them for a moment longer before letting out a soft whine and making his way to join them. It seemed that after moons divided things were finally coming together, nearly all of his children had returned and Cwen’s health was already returning. They were a family again.

Cal raised his eyebrows at Shayla's question. Had she not known that her father had left in search of her brother? Or she didn't even know that her brother was taken by man in the first place? It didn't matter, that would be for her parents to tell her and the brown he-varg can imagine the lecture that Draeg can give. "I'm not sure how much you know about this situation so it would be best for you to ask your father when you see him." Still holding the sternest look he could muster he watched as the silver faemme shrug her shoulders still not thinking about the consequences about leaving the pack boundaries for so long without notifying a member. Clicking his tongue softly at the roof of his tongue he continue to stare at her, until finally his gaze softened. "Well, I guess I said my little bit already. Seeing that you've been gone for so long I guess that you must have been to many different places in your exploration. If you're willing to tell Uncle Cal, I'll be more than happy to sit on my behind and listen." A smile broke over his maw as he thought when he was younger when he travelled. Before he met anyone here, he had wandered into the mountains, the meadows, even to the places close to where man inhabited (at that time he wanted revenge). All those memories came back to him, and he wondered if Shayla was lucky enough to been to all these places.
However, before she could say a word something moving caught his attention. Ears twitching as he listened to something move then with a small gust of wind and in a whirl of amber Draeg flew into the scene to greet his daughter with loving licks and nuzzles. Moving back slightly and watching the wonderful reunion. He knew for a fact that Draeg had cared a lot for her daughter and she was the only faemme in his two litters. It seemed that the acts of affection would not stop, until with a sudden roar the amber dragga snarled asking his daughter about an injury that was found upon her. It was then discovered that Shayla had been walking into Kerl territory where the residents were not as friendly and it wouldn't be surprising if one of them attacked her. Draeg still obviously furious and threatening to destroy whoever that inflicted harm on his daughter. Feeling the need to move forward and calm his friend down he moved forward. But without another rustle another form emerged and Shay quickly zip to her other clone. It was Cwen. It was a family reunion alright, as he sat there comfortably in the shadows watching. Inside he felt extremely happy for his Dragga, his children who he cared for so much were slowly returning, the family reunion that he wished was coming true. Was it going to be Cal's turn soon? Feeling his gut contract as he thought of his own situation. No, it was nothing like this, not even close. His golden orbs still focused on the three vargs before him. Nodding his head slightly to himself he moved backwards and slipped into the shadows thoughts still weighed on his mind.
(Dropping out of this thread. And WoOt, Shay's back)

(ooc - sorry i aint been around for a while. lets just say life sucks and i havent been in the mood to do anything really, never mind RP.)
she smiled at her old friend and her tail wagged. part of her concerned about what had happened whilst she had been gone, but the other part happy that Cal had finished his scolding and that she'd have someone to confide in if she so wished. although part of her knew exactly who she wanted to find to tell about all of this.
Shay's ears flattened slightly at the sound of the fury in her father's voice. she almost shuddered, but steeled her composure quickly. part of her wondered if it was a good time to tell him that the kerl had slunk of fter being dealt a practically fatal wound, and Shayla highly doubted that she would still be alive. dealing her father a quick lick across his snarling muzzle she smiled. 'i'd tell you if i could Daddy, but i was lost at the time, i was just trying to find my way back home.'
despite herself, Shay felt some part deep inside her relax. it was still good to be home, amongst those who cared for her, and those who she knew would protect her. her eyes flicked bacvk to Cal, but now she only saw a shadow flitting back into the night. he obviously recognised Shay's need to be with her family, and she made a mental note to go and find the varg again so they could catch up properly.

((Yay!! I found the post I accidently deleted still in my recycle bin, woo! Sorry I was really not in the mood to make another post, but all's fine now! here ya go, sorry for the lateness >.< ))
The younger version of herself, and older version of her daughter, leapt towards her mother and all of a sudden seemed young, small and naïve once more. Cwen’s shock subsided, as she knew now that this was real, and not just a pigment of her imagination. Closing her grey hues and letting out a long sigh as her auds folded back, pressed against her cranium, Cwen retook her breath and breathed in the familiar scent of her daughter who she’d feared she may have lost as well as her son and mate. But now, now they were all reunited. A whine of happiness escaped her muzzle as she began to lavish her daughter’s muzzle and face in licks, embracing her into her own neck scruff, feeling like Shayla’s mother and guardian once again. She was simply too lost in the moment for her to even realise Cal’s disappearance into the shadows – allowed the family to be alone. “Welcome home Shayla,” she sighed eventually, a long, peaceful smile curling the edges of her maw. Cwen pulled back her head and took a few steps forward from her daughter to observe the youth’s finely grown and beautiful form. She chuckled lightly and mused, “You’ll be a real catch for all those young males out there.” Looking to her left, Cwen smiled fondly as Draeg approached the two faemme, a smile placed on his own amber muzzle. She nudged her head across his, nuzzling him tenderly before peering back up to Shayla and giving her daughter a sly wink. She herself had been young and beautiful. But with it came a wicked and sinister personality. Something inside her had snapped and been broken, it was only when she met Draeg that slowly she began to heal and was able to learn to love again…though at times it seemed like she was still the same old Cwen, and in truth, that old Kerl within her would never perish completely.

Still enraged over the fact that someone had actually dared to touch his beloved daughter the amber Dragga hardly noticed Cal coming forward in an attempt to calm him. A task Draeg very much doubted his friend would be able to accomplish as like most parents the amber varg had always been fiercely protective of all his offspring, though with Shayla being his only daughter he tended to be a great deal more irrational when it came to matters pertaining to her safety. Returning his attention solely to his daughter he examined her wounded side closely, failing to notice her composure falter momentarily or the fact that Cal was almost upon him as he gauged the severity of the injury. A quick lick to the muzzle from Shayla prompted him to stop and Draeg pulled back slightly, allowing her a little room to breathe and watching her through softening amber eyes as she responded to his previous statement. “I know you would Shayla, I’m just so glad you safe.” he whined softly, nuzzling her affectionately.
He couldn’t help but smile as he fondly watched the sight before him unfold, briefly recalling the few times he had ever seen either fae as happy as they both were currently. For a moment Draeg worried that his mate would overexerting herself, but health seemed to have improved throughout the day and Cwen seemed fine this night so Draeg didn’t see the need to interrupt the reunion. As he made to join them he briefly caught sight Cal padding off into the darkness, evidently deciding that it would be best to leave the three alone for the time being to catch up without him interfering. But as he slunk off Draeg couldn’t help but feel that there was something else troubling his friend though at the moment he was too distracted by his own personal feelings to determine exactly what it was, still the amber Dragga supposed he could always seek out Cal later and discuss the matter once he was through here. Turning his attention back towards the two femme he took a moment longer to admire them both from afar before once again continuing to close the distance between himself and them, whining as Cwen greeted him tenderly and stroking her muzzle lovingly with his tongue. “Over my dead body!” he scoffed scornfully a moment later upon catching Cwen’s previous statement . “Do you really think I’m going to allow some strange varg to court my little girl, ha! That’ll be the day!”
