Uskiya stood on the edges of her home. She stood silently watching as the winds blew the light snow across the land. It was here in the silence that the gray fae understood what it meant to be on the brink of losing her family...again. It is not my fault that Cal is gone, or that Ayasha and Chilaili don't get along. My Dragga is gone and my Drappa is not well. What else can the pack do? I am the nurse, my duty is to the pups. Her thoughts were slow but they were dinstinct in her head instead of the lathargi thoughts that had plagued her mind only days ago. Her attention turned back to the area that she could not cross, though she wished she could run from Ge-rad's lands and escape everything. She would not cross out of her territory. The pups, though she had seen little of them, still needed to be watched, but by now most of them were getting old enough.
Her sister Lydair had become Beta fae of the pack and she was with Cwen most of the time, Koan had just returned and Uskiya knew that they would find time together. Shako was the beta manne and Yelae's mate. Despite Yelae being sikla Uskiya still enjoyed what little company she had received from the fae. It was pointles for the fae to go through these thoughts, but it made her feel as though she had a grip on what was happening. She was torn, her pups needed her but she could not do it alone without knowing where her mate was. He had dissapeared befor eand almost died. Who knew where he could be now. You're alone for now, your pups are safe as are the rest, the others are probably with Cwen. So here you stand, alone. What will you do? "I'll run, I'll run till my body dies and then I will not have to worry anymore."Her voice startled her. "I can't do that, my pups, my pack, they need me here. If only to watch the pups." The snow changed directions slightly and Uskiya turned from her post to gaze into the depths of her packlands. Her orbs wer eno longer the bright gold color they had been, They were dull and almost hueless as they searched for nothing.
Her fur shook and the collected snow flew like tiny insects fleeing a dead hare that they feasted upon. Perhaps then the fae would return to her den, to lie in the darkness and wish that her mate would return to her. Or that her Dragga would come home with his pup and her Drappa could be as she was. The world was dull, dull enough that everything meant nothing. Uskiya looked to the dull sky, should she carry her voice so that the pack could know of her? No, she shook her head and turned back to stare into the distance to where she wished that she could leave.

I will post here...eh, sooner or later. High school has been....dramatic....to say the least. I hope to be active again in a week. BUT, I will post here later this week ^-^
A large fae wandered about the great forest of the Ge-Rad territory. Her silver pelt blew gracefully in the slight breeze. It was cold, bitter, unwelcoming; however, Nyobe took to the wind gratefully. She allowed the snow to brush up against her warm, aching body as she slowly made her way through the forest. so much had changed since the great Dragga, Draeg, had left....One of the pups was gone too, along with a wolf of which its name she did not know. Occasionally, she used to talk to Lydair...but times have changed since then. Now she was the Beta of Ge-Rad, and her.....well, she was still a scout. Upon trying to re-enter the pack, her noble status was lost. She was once an apprentice to Talla, the long-gone leader of Ge-Rad, and had remained faithful to the day she dissappeared.
Nyobe carried herself lightly, attempting to not make a sound in fear of being found. She wanted to speak to no one, but then again always found comfort in conversating with her packmates. She continued on, stopping briefly as she saaw another's tracks in the snow. The headed towatds the pack boundaries, and she didn't think much of them. She somewhat traced the tracks for amusement, and soone caught the scent of a higher ranked fae. It was Uskiya, the one who looked after the pups. A few times Nyobe aided in helping with the cubs, but it wasn't for long for she had to return to her position along the borders.
The snow slightly changed its direction as she climbed the miniscual (sp?) hill that led to the border, as well as the scent of Uskiya. She spotted the grey fae staring back into her pack boundaries, seeming confused or depressed. She let out a small whimper, which was drowned out by the whistling winds. Nyobe was unseen, her coat matched the newly fallen snow perfectly. As she neared Uskiya, she let out a louder whimper in hopes that the nurse would here her. She held her head down slightly, a common submissive behavior. Her crystal eyes scanned Uskiya, trying to figure out what troubled the varg, "Uskiya? What's wrong..." her words were slow and kind as she walked up beside the fae.

Uskiya sat in silence hoping that things would change. Her pups were still evasive in their detecton and her mate had been inseen by her orbs for many days. What a sad fae she was when she couldn't even find her family.
Her auds perked as she thought she heard the whine of another varg, but the wind must have been playing foul with her. She let out a sigh and waited for the cold wind to take her. To sweep her out of ths world. There was little left for her here anyway. It would be best for her to become a kerl once more. The love of a mate and pups was too little to keep her here. She had packmates who cared but she saw so little of them.
Uskiya listened again, there it was, the whimper. Then the voice broke the silence and pierced the wind. It was Nyobe. Uskiya looked at her pack mate, her orbs lifeless but they still held a little warmth at seeing a packmate.
Wrong? How could I begin?
"It seems as though the cold of winter has brought the cold seperation from my family, and my pack." It was hard for Uskiya to explain everything that she was feeling. "Nyobe. how can you live when everything you loved has left you?" She looked to the scout, hoping that perhaps it wasn't just herself that was feeling the loss of everything.

"I would be very unhappy if such thing occurred." Stepping from the shadows in which her black pelt blended into Amaya ambled into view. "Sadly I have never truly loved anything. So I wouldn't understand at all." She stood, quite tall for one her age, about the size of both she-wolves. Her pelt was slightly haggard, ruffled with scars and lack of being cared for. The fae's eyes were a rich, liquid shade of dark amethyst, glinting with a cold, hard expression, anymore it was hard for her to feel anything, or be moved. As she grew older, the shard of ice that had plunged itself into her heart grew too. But now there was some sympathy in those orbs of stone. She could see that Uskiya was pained by something, yet she had never done well in expressing her feelings or helping others with theirs. But mustering up her courage she finally said; "What happened?"

Ayasha walked alone this time, her brother wasn't there to be followed by his troubled sister. No he was elsewhere, probably with Chilaili, the lovable daughter of their mother. The one no one thought to question. The black she varg let out a growl, how she hated her sister, now that her father had returned she was even more bitter. He had driven his mother into sadness that seemed uncurable.
It didn't matter because Ayasha was going to leave Ge-rad. LEave all of this behind, she merely needed to fidn the border that her mother always stared off into, that is where she would leave. Without a trace.
It rather shocked the black she varg to see that her mother had already taken up shelter in ths place, and there wer eallready other vargs there to try and help her. Pitiful! Ayasha approached the small gathering and barely nodded her head in greeting, she walked over near her mother and sat upon her haunches.
"Father not around then?" She asked bitterly. "Well then it would be a wonderful time for you to leave us. Don't worry, I'll be leaving too so Skep can take care of dea rChilaili. You won't have to worry about me!" She looked to her mother and then to the other vargs, each of which she knew little of. "Love is such a terrible thing." She looked to Amaya and let out a small smile. Not intended for cruelty but whenever love was mentioned Ayasha could do little to keep from grimacing. "Mother, I think that I wont come back, at least not for a while. No one around here cares for me, so as I see it fit my time would be better spent out there." She looked to beyond the borders, she had every intention of coming back, but she would leav efor a few days, perhaps when she came back things would be okay.

Each was familiar to her, a constant that was well longed-for, but one in particular- her sister, Uskiya, brought a smile to curl Lydair’s pearly maw. Pressing forward, her auds strained to hear the fragments of the conversation that sparked her thoughts. The silver bodice of Ge-Rad's pupsitter was a welcomed form to the azure eyes of the fae. So sad, her sister was, so torn and broken she seemed. Her children had long since gathered a newfound independence; Cal's position as emissary forced him to spend more and more time from the boundaries of the packlands. Nyobe had placed herself a ways from Uskiya, her shaded orbs nearly like Lydair's; Amaya's own anomalous eyes glowed steadily. The midnight femme, young for such a strong warrior, had always been regarded closely in the beta's heart, for also as the healer the cobalt hybrid had tended to Amaya in her first few days in Ge-Rad. Approaching them quietly, Lydair's tassel lowered and she dipped her head in turn to each fae, parting her black lips to speak- but the bitter and coerce words of a cub she knew quite well startled the beta. It was Ayasha, one of her nieces and the youngest of Uskiya's children. For moons now her piercing emerald eyes had glowered angrily around her, especially towards her elder sister Chilaili and her parents. The only Varg she truly seemed to love was Skep, the tan, ocher-orbed brother that was constantly protecting one sister or the other- though much more often Chilaili. The silver yearling was mildly deaf in both ears and completely blind in one eye, yet it was not surprising why Ayasha was so intimately jealous of Lydair's eldest niece. What did surprise the hybrid, however, were the torturing words that slithered from her ebony muzzle.
The beta’s tail rose as she glared at the cub, her cerulean orbs narrowing dangerously. “Until you rise in position in this pack and your entire sense of respect has fled your mind, do not speak to your mother in such a manner. She is well-loved and well-needed in Ge-Rad, young Ayasha.” As the femme continued, a poignant grimace flashed her visage. “If you leave Ge-Rad, you’ll not have anyone around to protect you. And you know good and well why your sister needs Skep’s assistance, Ayasha! Don’t be so selfish. She is deaf and blind, and until Trile returns to Ge-Rad, do not expect her to be treated any less. All three of you deserve to be cared for, and all three of you are- but if you feel like you are not loved, then it is not my place to stop you.”

Uskiya looked to Amaya, unsure of where to begin. Though the pack probably saw little of Cal and mght of been able to guess she doubted anyone really knew. "Things are just seeming to fall apart. I can't think of the last time I felt loved." She looked up and noticed a small black varg coming. Uskiya knew it to be her daughter, she also knew that her daughter was like her father in dissapearing. "Your father is probably doing his duty to this pack." Uskiya watched Ayasha, fearful of her hot tongue that spat out anger. Uskiya watched Ayasha carefully, but at her daughter's next words she could feel herself growing angry. "Leave! I have no intention of leaving you and your siblings!" Her lips raised slightly to her daughter. "Nor will you be leaving Ayasha!" Uskiya looked to see Lydair had joined them. She gave a small smile to her sister before looking back to her daughter. "Love is not a terrible thing." But Uskiya knew she didn't believe it, there was obvously nothing she could say here. She could only listen to her daughter. Uskiya looked up in surprise as Lydair gave her neice a reprimand.
"Ayasha, things are not going the way anyone of us want them to, but running will only make it worse. You have family here that loves you. Your aunt Lydair is right." Uskiya looked around at the small gathering, then to her daughter. Youngest of the litter and yet the most troubled.

Amaya raised her black-scarred muzzle as a black pup entered the company. As she spoke her words were quite rash, and crude. But she remained silent as the other two scolded her for being so rude. Ayasha was quite the troubled pup; she had meant her out in the woods not long ago. She recalled what she had said. ”Ayasha, if you wish to leave the pack first let me teach you how to survive out here.” Those words were true, and she still had yet to fulfill them. But now was not the time, instead she got up and sat beside the cub. It seemed that she felt deprived of attention; maybe she could find a way to help… somehow. Lowering her muzzle to Ayasha’s ear Amaya whispered quietly. “For the moment keep those comments to yourself. You mother is trouble as much as you are about your Father. Trust me on that.” Then she looked back up, praying silently that the youth would listen.

Ayasha grew cross at Lydair's words, though she knew well it was true. At least for now, if she wandered off she would be able to fend for herself. She chuckled slightly thinking to how wonderful it would be without any one around. She had tried it before only her brother had tagged laong and then Amaya and another varg had appeared. But now she would slip from Ge-rad.
"My sister..... she needs everything and takes away from everyone. It is a wonder why she isn't a burden." The words were more of a mutter than of an actual comment for all to hear, but she knew well that they heard them. "Is it too much to ask to be loved then? Chilaili has all the attention and is favored by everyone. So can I not be right in assuming she is the favored one and I am merely a burden to this pack?" With each word Ayasha grew heated.
"You could stop me if you wished, kill me! That would stop me." Ayasha looked to her mother. "Duty, father has a duty to us as well!" Ayasha ignored her mother's words and instead looked out beyond the border. Suddenly she found Amaya's voice in her ear. She let out a slightly irritated sigh, but it was obvious that these vargs wanted her to stay. At least for now there was someone who cared enough to speak up.
