[glow=black,2,3] Shakó shook his white head at Lydair, it wasn’t his fault Shunké showed up. “I didn’t invite her. And it’s not like anything would happen to the cubs here, I think I would know if they were in danger!” Shakó was devastated, this was not how he planned their reunion. “And if Draeg does find out, it would be my hide, not yours! I wouldn’t let your or Yelae get in trouble for something I could have prevented.” The last think Shakó wanted, however, was Draeg or Cwen showing up. Not for his sake, but for Shunké’s.
But now the two feas quarreled even more, their hackles raised and eyes cold as ice. Even Yelae’s words were raised, and Shakó worried for his two sisters’ safety, not to mention his love’s. That was it, he had enough. He was not going to sit back and watch these two verbally tear each other apart. White lips curled, showing white glissining fangs. White hackles raised, as his paws gripped the cold earth. A growl rumbled uncharacteristically from the white brute’s throat, as he jumped in between the two. His tail and poise high in dominance, showing how big he really was, and how much power lay under his thick coat.
“That’s Enough!” he shouted angrily at the two. “I will not stand around and watch my two sisters tear each other with word, not claws. And yes, Shunké, Lydair is my sister.” he added quickly, thinking what she was going to say. “Though she may not be blood, I care for her just like I care for you. That, to me, makes her my sister. So I suggest you behave yourself, please.” His chest heaved angrily at the two, as he rounded on the cobalt fea.
“Lydair, though I don’t know what you heard, Shunké has yet to harm a cub. I know my sister well enough, and I don’t think she’s so foolish to try anything now, especially since her Dragga is obviously not with her. And Yelae’s right- she has done nothing to harm you.” Feeling gratefull that he got his feeling off his chest, Shakó relaxed a little, letting his eyes grow soft. But still, he kept his poise, and kept alert to any signs of further aggression.

“Ah but the real question is what is she doing here?” a voice sounded out from brush. Draeg emerged from his hiding amidst the bracken , the amber Dragga had been on patrol when he caught whiff of an intruder trespassing within his territory and had come to investigate. When he had arrived Draeg had circled the small group and traveled downwind to avoid being detected by any varg where he had taken shelter within the withering undergrowth, there he had watched the quarrel between his packmates and the strange black fae that had entered upon his domain without so much as asking Larka’s Blessing. It had been around this time that Draeg had decided to intervene before things got out of hand. Padding down to the small group the amber varg held himself dominantly with his tail standing completely erect and his head held high as he glared coldly at the small gathering of varg that stood before him, while he had caught bits and pieces of their conversation from his spot in the brush before Shako had brought the conversation to an abrupt end and though he hadn’t Shunke’s scornful insult towards Huts he had caught the dark furred femme baring her fangs at Lydair. Making his way past his three packmates he settled himself directly in front of Shunke’s ill-looking form and commenced to examine her thoroughly, her black pelt was thin and stringing and she was unusually thin for this time of year when prey was still plentiful, hinting that she was probably malnourished, at one point she might have been considered attractive but now her pelt was dull and her eyes burned feverishly with some strange light as though she was mad, giving a wild and untamed look to her gangly form. Once he done looking her over the amber Dragga eyed his packmates curiously from the corner of his amber eyes, at a lost as to why there had nearly been bloodshed over the presence of a mere Kerl. However as he turned his attention back over to the wild looking she-varg to give her an experimental sniff his eyes widened in surprise as the his nose was filled with the familiar scent of the marshlands, calmly pulling his head back and padding away from the small group he stood with his back turned to them. A moment later he gave out a furious snarl and slowly turned his head around, his eyes burning furiously with rage as he glared at the collection of wolves behind him, every fiber of his body trembling as he pulled his lip back into a menacing snarl. “Tell me…” he growled furiously, hackles bristling as his voice rose with each word. “Why one of them is doing here? You know how I feel about THEM!”

The cobalt femme snarled her response to Shunke before whipping around, her cyan eyes blazing with fury. "Harmed anyone or not, she is not welcome here! You know this; Larka's Blessing was never asked! and you may be a warrior, but you hold no dominance over me, brother! Neither does Yelae, or Shunke- I answer to my gods and my leaders." Clacking her jaws angirly at shunke, she whipped back around to face her. "And I'm sure you don't know of a brown he-Varg, either, you Sarnes Varg? He was nearly killed by you and your pack. Though i'm not entriely sure what manner of a Varg would torture theri own. Don't even try to-" her voice caught off suddenly, by Draeg's cool but tense tone. Lydair shakily inhaled, her breath coming as a thick wheeze as the taunt pang of anger welled inside of her; dipping her head meekly to the amber Dragga she waited, trembling, for him to recognize the scent. Her gaze, clouded with fear from Draeg's sudden anger, moved from Shako to shunke; a snarl bubbled from her black lips and she dropped her head, once more baring ivory fangs. Hackles bristled on her neck, and her pearly maw parted, but her words were for Draeg. "This..this fae," She snapped coldly, her cyan gaze glittering with disgust. her words dripped malice and hate towards the skinny she-Varg, and as she contineud to speak, Lydair's anger only increased. "Is Shako's sister. She denies all claims to have taken part in your daughter's death. She could be a spy; she could simply be foolish enough to trespass in Ge-Rad terra without expecting an argument, possibly a fight." she turned around now, her eyes pleading as she lowered her head submissively, whimpering. "Although I may not believe her, she has merit. I caused the initial fight- perhaps too wary for Sarnes spies. Had I not jumped too quickly too conclusions, most of this would not have happened." Her voice was crackling with tension; it was her way of apologizing silently to Shako, but she would take her last breath before an out-and-out apology was to be given to Shunke- a trespasser and malicious femme, in the cobalt hybrid's eyes. "If she is to be driven out, then drive her out, but for my brother's sake, and his love's, do not harm her. I was wrong for doing so. I know I am merely a subordinante in your pack, Draeg, but..we should at least take her part of this. "Although she deserves nothing less than a fight right now. The fae thought through gritted teeth. Lowering her head, Lydair closed her eyes, waiting for a harsh rebuttle from her father-in-law. She turned, now, her tapered muzzle a sad but furious frown as she stared at Shako, blinking slowly, not saying a word but her cyan orbs spoke more than her tongue could. Perhaps I have only inflicted more damage, brother...but either way, it was for you and Yelae... She sighed inaudibly before closing her eyes, wishing immediately for the comforting presence of her own love, or that of her brother Trile- the cub was young, but he was smart and bold, and always brought a smile to the hybrid's lips.

Of course, these days, a certain silver male was never far from the cobalt hybrid who had initated such an event within the normally peaceful lands that surround Ge-rad. This gun-gray male had already encounter the sadistic and strange Shunke, and held a particlar contempt for the ivory hued male by the name of Shako. The only pair here that he held any respect for were the Dragga, the amber male who had once called him son, and the only creature who had made him resind his vow of never loving another, Lydair. Amber eyes watched, the pits of ebony impassive in those pools of gold-orange. His presence was still unknown, mainly due to the fact that all four of those present were far to argumentitive to note quiet wolf in the shadows. He too could smell the sick, decaying scent of the marshes in which the Sarnes pack dwelled reeking from the disgusting fae, and it roused him into such a fury that he'd never felt before.
"I too am quite curious as to why a...wolf such as yourself has buisness in Ge-rad." Koan stepped foward, his eyes burning now, a rage the likes of which none but Draeg had ever seen in them. It was cold, condenming light, the light of revenge, and the flash of the fever that still, in some part of his mind, exsisted. He glanced at Lydair, as she spoke of this creature's lack of part in Huts' death. "Nay.. she did not directly slay her... but she follows the beast that did. She has no place here, no matter her family bonds." He shot a look of open contempt at Shako. "It doesn't surprise me though..." he growled. "That those two are related." He took a step towards Shako. "You get her out of here, Shako.. I can't promise that I won't hurt her if you don't. She may not have killed Huts, but I swore vengance for a death that day. And one by one, I will exact it."
(it's bad, and not at all what I was trying to write. Forgive me.)

Shakó was taken aback by the cobalt faemme’s response. He had forgotten all about Larka’s Blessing, since he was never taught to respect others boundaries when he was a cub. The concept was new to him, when he first took part of the pack. But now, hackles prickled to the sound of a very familiar voice. Shakó whirled around to see his amber Dragga, Draeg. Quickly, Shakó dropped his tail and bent his knees, his head dipped low to the ground. Fear flooded him, for his sister’s safety. But as the Dragga’s cool tone became full of rage, Shakó knew he was in trouble.
“Please-” Shakó stammered, not knowing what to say. He knew Draeg was mad, but what was to come of him, there was no predicting. “She is my sister, my blood sister. She just wanted to come and visit, that’s all. And she’s not a spy!” he shouted, eyes narrowing at Lydair. He was gracious she backed him up, at least a little. But it still made him made- she spoke of Shunké like a common Balker.
And now, the male Shakó was least expecting- Koan- decided to show himself. The silver battle scarred male had nothing but insults for Shunké, but that didn’t surprise him. What he was surprised of, however, was the comment directed at Shakó. Koan made it sound like he, like Shunké, was something under the common Varg. Like a piece of decayed meat. Shakó had half a mind to claw the male, for his comment and threat toward his sister. “I can’t right the death of the one you call Huts,” he said irritably, “but I know that killing one who had no part in her death will only make things worse.” because if you lay a claw on her, I’ll just have to do the same to you, he thought darkly.

Yelae recoiled slightly as the two other Vargs appraoched the scene: Draeg and Koan. She knew she had done nothing wrong, yet still felt as though she was a troublesome female. She did not know whether or not Koan knew of Lydair's bitter experiance with Yelae before, but if he did...she did not know what. But who is right, and who was wrong in this situation? No one was.
Her eyes look around at the others, three were against Shunke, and one was against Shako. However, the comment that Koan said to Shako made her inards churn with a great dislike. Yelae was not the sort of Varg to scorn, but it still maddened her at what this Varg was saying to her love.
"How dare you speak like that," she snaps, "To your brother-in-law. Shako is Lydair's heart-brother, and so you are related to both Shako and Shunke. If that is the way you speak to your relatives, then I do not know who is more wrong: You, or Shunke." She takes a step forward to the male, yet her eyes cast an apologetic glance towards Lydair, but then flash back directly into Koan's own eyes. "Your words are bitter and cruel, and somewhat of a hypocrite. Many do not like the dragga of Sarnes, nor do some like our dragga. Some find it repulsive that he has two mates, at least I have heard so, but that does not mean they should blame you, Koan. And neither should you blame Shunke for whatever has happened in the past."

Post by Shunké on Nov 27, 2005 17:15:57 GMT -5
//crappy post ending, I know. And just so you know, the writing in blue is inside Shunke's mind, and only she can here it. Everything else not in italics, everyone else can hear.//
Shunké was caught off guard, by her brother’s sudden aggression. It was apparent to her that he really wished her and Lydair become friends. Dropping her tail and lips, Shunké though she’d aught to give this Varg named Lydair a shot. That was easier said than done. Lydair kept going on, she wouldn’t shut her maw for a second. Shunké’s head gave a dull throb, this Varg was starting to give her a headache. The words that Lydair shouted next caused Shunké’s head to cock, she thought the ‘law’ was just a fairy tail. “Larka’s Blessing?” she said out loud, her lips curled curtly. “You can’t seriously tell me that you follow something so unpracticed!” Shunké shouted, with a bit of laughter. True, her old pack went into any pack boundaries without notice or permission, and neither did Sarnes. Well, not to her knowledge, that is. In fact, this was the first time Shunké had ever set paw into anther pack’s boundaries.
Now, the hysteric faemme spoke of something very new to Shunké. “I know a lot of brown- pelted he-Vargs. If you haven’t noticed, there are a lot of them in the woods. And this particular he-Varg? I know nothing of nearly killing him, let alone my pack.” but perhaps, Shunké though, this was the Varg Serg captured and tortured. But little was spoken about the incident, Shunké didn’t even know the Varg’s name. “And would you quite yelling, wrench! Your voice is starting to irritate me,” Shunké added desperately after another dull throb.
But Lydair’s words came to an abrupt halt, for a large, amber male had stepped out of the brush. His amber tail and head were held erect, in the highest manner possible. By the actions of Lydair and Shakó, he was the Dragga. Draeg. Shunké watched unconcerned as the large male placed himself in front of her, his pack to his tail. Shunké wondered if he knew who, or what pack she belonged to. But as his eyes widened with fire, his hackles raised to a ferocious poise, it was apparent to Shunké that he knew the stench that lingered on her coat very well. He spoke angrily, not to her, but to his pack. Them? Them? So, you’re now considered a them. Brilliant position you put yourself into. “SHUT UP!” Shunké roared, as her head gave an incredibly large throb.
An irritating voice filled the air again, as Lydair spoke feverishly to Draeg; accusing her once again. “I told you, there is nothing to denie about! I didn’t do anything! I was only a cub at the time, and if you think a full grown Varg was killed by a cub, you are much mistaken!” the black fae shouted angrily. All’s Lydair kept doing was repeating her assumptions. Another throb came over the fae’s head, as she began to back at the cobalt fae again. “And for the last time, I am not a spy! I am a Nietan, warrior of my pack! I have no need for spying, and Serg doesn’t even know I’m here!” she spat defensively. But you should became a spy, your certainly not fit enough to be a Nietan. “What do you know?” she growled, her breath heaving. If you were to be a Nietan, you’d have killed Draeg by now. “NO! Shut up, you idiot! You know nothing! I want nothing to do with this pack, all I want is to reconnect with my brother!” You’re brother? He’s found a new sister. That mouthy hybrid called Lydair. Isn’t it obvious? He cares more for her than you. “Lies!” Shunké retorted, her head pounding like mad. She was starting to get dizzy, as yet another wolf emerged from hiding.
This one Shunké was very familiar with. His scarred gray pelt and insults told her he was Koan. She had mingled with him once before, in the cave with Ingo that very wet day. But why so rude toward Shakó? She though. Perhaps they have history. “You’ll never understand, Koan! You’re such a stubborn fool! You and Lydair! How many times will I have to say it, I had nothing to do with that death! Killing me will do nothing!” she growled angrily, losing her footing a little as her head gave another painful throb. “If you knew the whole story, then you wouldn’t be blaming me!” crimson and gold eyes narrowed at the amber Dragga angrily, perhaps he knew what she was talking about. For his sake, though how much she despised him, she would keep her black maw shut about this one. Crimson hued fangs bared, perhaps mostly out of pain, Shunké whirled back around to Koan, almost losing her step in the process. “I belong in Sarnes, for reason that even you wouldn’t able to understand!” she growled. Yes, you do belong. Even the once called Tor knows you belong more than any other creature! Your pathetic, you know that? “You’re the pathetic one!“ She snarled again. The world swirled around her, now it was her brother talking, and then she turned her pathetic gaze upon Yelae. She couldn’t hear a single word, it sounded so jumbled up and slurred. Shunké’s insides churned, she felt as though she was going to expel her insides. Do what you want to do, stupid Varg. Do what you need to do. He’s right in front of you, just swing your paw at him. KILL HIM! A sudden blur of back, as Shunké swung her paw at Draeg. But far away, her mind called out No! Her paw swung outward, and collided with the tree next to her. Bark sprayed all over the brush, as Shunké’s sided heaved in and out, her pink tongue hung out of her mouth, as a sliver of crimson slid down it’s pink surface. Blood collected from the point of impact, a tiny hole where her fang had collided with her tongue. Her brain felt like it was going to explode, and now as her weight leaned gingerly on her paw she flinched with pain.
Again! AGAIN! The voice rang out. “No,” she said sternly. Loosing her footing, Shunké fell to the ground. Quickly, she tried to get up, but couldn’t move from her position on her underbelly. The lack of food had finally gotten to the faemme. “As you can see, Koan, Lydair, Draeg; I don’t want to harm any of your pack. I’m in no position at the moment.” she growled. This was the first time that Tarquin had almost totally taken over her mind.
Once again, the faemme gave her body a strong heave, and was able to return to her paws. “So, if we’re done here, maybe I should just go. I already caused my brother and sister-in-law enough trouble.”

(this reply is going to try and wrap together all the comments aimed at me so far. And I must say, I love how I'm immidately the source of all the problems ) "Mind yourself, Shako." he growled softly. "Threats show in your form as well as in your speech. Don't pick a fight if you don't want one. I have a right as a member of this pack to want her gone. " It was true; the tension that etched itself through the male, and the smell of anger that was slowly wafting from him were enough to tell Koan this. A warrior who can't even control his emotions... he thought, shaking his head. Turning then to Yelae, he grinned. "A hypocrite, am I? He is not my realitive anymore then Serg is my father. Lydair may call him brother, but that makes him nothing to me. And as for you... I don't care whether or not she killed Huts or not. If Serg slew your precious Shako, would you not feel some anger towards the remainder of his pack? Can you honsetly say you would be neutral towards them? Can you say this?" Finally, he turned to the Sarnes fae, disgust still heavy in his eyes. "You make me sick. I'm not going to soften my words, no matter what. You succumb to madness, and hide behind the fact that you didn't slay her, that there is some story that justifies this. How can you justify such a thing, ever. Even I am not foolish enough to belive that I would be right in killing you, or any of your pack. But even so..." he growled. "Your no better. You know now, and yet you have no remorse." Koan's eyes softened as she lashed about blindly. He had been there, right after Huts' death, in truth, and had seen wolves like Risk, who also suffered from such things. "Ah... perhaps your will is not merely your own. "he said, half-joking, half sympthizing. (wow.. this sucks. I think need to take a vaction from rping... I cant seem to get the ideas out...)

((Sorry for taking so Long, was really busy yesterday.))
Draeg couldn’t help but watch in amusement as the three subordinate wolves under his command hastily lowered their heads submissively upon spotting the imposing Dragga, despite his evident anger he couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction at seeing both Shako and Yelae with their heads follow along with Lydairs example though his face betrayed nothing of what he was feeling save anger. Knowing that he had been the adopted son of the previous Dragga Draeg had always known that Shako had bore some small feelings of resentment towards him and had been wondering how Shako was going to respond to his sudden appearance, not sure whether the white warrior would show him the proper respect or try to attack him. A moment later he was joined by the familiar form of his eldest son who suddenly materialized out from within the thicket and took a spot alongside his father, knowing that Koan had probably come to check up on his mate Draeg quickly acknowledged his presence with a brief nod before returning his attention over to the small gathering before him. At Shunke’s sudden outburst Draeg whirled around to face the black furred she-varg with a savage snarl, his amber eyes burning furiously as he glared dangerously at the inhabitant of Sarnes. “Somebody tell me who she is and what she’s even doing here, NOW!” he barked fiercely.
Lydair was the first to respond, Draeg listen patiently as he watched the black and white wolf hybrid made her way over to Shunke and quickly made her report, explaining the marshland varg’s connection to Shako along with her theory as to why she had intruded upon their territory. Draeg remained silent as Lydair also began speaking on Shunke’s behalf though he couldn’t help but cast his daughter-in-law a curious glance, confused as to why she would accuse the black she-varg of anything and then defend her despite the fact that the two clearly didn’t seem to like each other. Suddenly Shunke began shouting angrily causing Draeg to pin his ears tightly against his head in an attempt to block out the irritating sound, she was speaking out in her defense and going on about how her training and position in Sarnes made it impossible for her to be a spy. The amber Dragga watched as instead of falling silent again upon finishing her little speech like she had been Shunke began yelling out angrily as though she were still arguing with some unseen varg, having seen similar conversations before he immediately recognized the symptoms for what they really were. “The voices!” he growled, his voice barely above a whisper. “She has the madness!”
Shako suddenly began speaking out in his sister’s defense causing Draeg tear his attention away from Shunke as he directed towards her brother, the white wolf was clearly at a loss as of what to say as he tried his best to plead with Draeg and convince him not to harm his sister and allow her safe passage out of Ge-Rad. Draeg thought for a moment, looking back and forth between the two he realized that Shunke had been telling the truth when she said she had been a pup during the time of Huts’ death, both varg being only a few months older than his first litter. He made as if to reply but before he could even speak an argument broke out between Koan, Shako, and Shunke as the three began squabbling amongst themselves like two bucks fighting over a doe after Koan, who seemed to hold nothing but contempt for the two siblings, issued out a scornful remark towards both varg that ended in a threat, drawing an irritated growl from Shako and causing Shunke to start flashing her fangs dangerously at the gun-gray varg as she began berating Koan for threatening her mate’s sister. It was around this time that Yelae decided to join the fray, taking a bold step towards Koan and uttering out a low growl.
Draeg was surprised to see the normally shy and quiet femme snap, though he had known that she would eventually side with her mate Draeg had honestly expected her to stay true to her docile nature and remain as far away from the conflict as possible rather than jumping in to Shako’s defense. He was impressed. And though he hated to admit it Draeg had to agree with the white and red femme, knowing that there was some truth to what she said though that didn’t stop him from wincing upon hearing her comment towards his bigotry. Unfortunately this did nothing to stop the squabble as Koan turned his attention over to Yelae and the argument continued in earnest, tired of the listening to the constant squabbling amongst his own packmates the amber varg decided to finally bring an end to the chaos that surrounded him. Throwing his head back he let out a booming howl that shook the trees and sent all manner of flying lera off into the air and in search of a more peaceful place to roost. “ENOUGH!” he roared before facing the rabble. “I have heard enough out of all of you, you’ve all spoken you’re piece and now it’s my turn! The last I checked I was Dragga and no one else! I will decide what will become of Shunke and no one else, are we clear?” Pausing for a moment he allowed himself a chance to think on the matter more carefully. Draeg knew that he could have Shunke driven from Ge-Rad, possibly even killed, with merely a word, but the knowledge that doing so would cause a great deal of unrest amongst the pack coupled with the fact he would probably be forced to contend with Shako and Yelae made him quickly discard the notion.
The amber Dragga suddenly found himself thinking back to Huts’ death and how it had been the last time he had seen Mayan before they had quarreled and their friendship had had a falling out, Draeg still regretted what he had said to his friend that day and longed for the day they would meet so that he could apologize for his foolishness and hopefully rekindle their dying friendship. Turning his gaze back over to Shako he spoke, his tone a great deal calmer and more even then before since his anger had slowly begun diminishing. “I say this now for all to here, though I have no love of Sarnes or members save one I will permit her to stay for time being and converse with you until Fenris disappears beneath the horizon. However, she is to go no further into Ge-Rad and must leave immediately upon concluding her business with you. Whether I like it or not Shunke is your sister though let it be known that the next time she enters into my land without asking Larka’s Blessing she will be driven out regardless of who she is! While she is here she is to be watched but not harmed or harassed by anyone unless she proves to be a danger to the pack, do you find these terms to your liking?”

"Acceptable." Koan said. The male had no quarrel with his father's judgement; after all, Koan wasn't even a member of this pack, and yet he still remained upon their lands as if he were. "Of course, perhaps you should ask your pack members this, O mighty Dragga." Koan said, shaking his head. "There is, of course, more of Ge-rad then merely Shako and Lydair; and I'd have to say... Shako might just be a bit biased." The remark was said in light heart, not as an insult, but as a statement. Obviously, he wasn't going to object to terms that allowed his sister to remain.
Koan turned his silver head away, sighing. This was not his pack, and he had no say here. He walked the path he chose, others walked theirs. He could not continue hating almost everyone merely because of a single wolf. He had to confront Serg, and soon. Even if it were not to fight... merely to face the wolf that had taken two things from him: his first love, and his relations with his father. It had to end soon. "Shako...watch her carefully. If she's anything like Nocturnia, she might even attack you."
