The late morning sky was a pale blue and lacked the warm feeling hat deep bright azure skies of summer brought. The atmosphere was a lot more mournful with the many clouds that layered the skies and the rain that often showered the land. The deer were fattening up and beginning to migrate to warmer and areas of lower ground, particularly the valley's where the wind could be blocked off.
By these valley's a lone femme padded. Her steps slow and steady and one could tell that she was not in a real hurry to get anywhere. Her ears were alert and her bushy tail was curled upward in a strange arc. She was a hybrid, a wolf dog. Her cyan orbs shimmered, turning from its bright sparkle and suddenly changing to a sapphire tone under the morning sunlight. She had arrived at the Ge rad lands almost two days ago and found it quite peaceful, the forests were rich in color and shimmered with mostly yellow leaves.
She padded on, knowing that her cubs were well hidden and safe where Draeg had chosen their den to be for the time being. Firefly padded on, her head low as she scented a fallen log before walking on. She had been in deep thought ever since her meeting with a pup of Draeg's other litter, her name Shayla. Shayla had told her that Draeg and Cwen had a litter, Firefly being near her time to give birth was quite dumbstruck at the sudden information. though the pain of something so important hidden from her hurt her the most. How could Draeg hide the fact that he had another litter for so long that now the pups could run walk and play. How much longer would the tan hybrid have to wait on this unknown secret if the brown varg known as Cal had not moved this mystery into the limelight?
Firefly walked on, she would have to talk about this to draeg. She had felt pity for the young Shayla when she saw the horror in her puppy eyes and how saddened she was when she found out. though in turn Firefly was quite angered at how the pup had blamed her for this whole incident. So Firefly was thrown in this whirlwind of emotions, confusion and anger, saddens and betrayal. How was one femme supposed to set everything straight? Firefly had hidden the meeting, and had not talked about it to Draeg, though Firefly did not know that Cal had already confronted her amber mate that he and Shayla had met Firefly. The tan femme had particularly wanted to save this conversation until they were well settled. Why would she wan to ruin such a moment? When her first litter would be born. So instead she waited, but by now, a moon or so later, her pups were healthy and was old enough to walk and play and run. Now it was time to speak with Draeg and put everything straight before there was a chance of everything falling apart.

Draeg padded silently through the valley, his breath coming out as clouds of vapor in the crisp morning air. It was autumn and for many it was the time of preparation, a time for Man and Lera alike to build their food stores and prepare for the upcoming winter, for others it meant a time to bulk up and increase their fat reserves in preparation for the long state of hibernation they would soon enter until the return of spring, still others would leave and migrate to warmer lands that the winter frost would leave untouched and provide an abundant source of food for all life. Still there were lera that would stay and weather the season to the best of their ability, braving the fierce bite of the cold and staving off starvation. As a wolf and one of the few lera that would be in its element Draeg was amongst the small handful that would remain to face the trials of winter head on and remain stationary throughout the year. With his thick double insulated fur coat the amber Dragga was perfectly suited for surviving such harsh conditions, fighting off the cold and preventing water from seeping through to his skin, his large padded paws were capable of splaying out allowing him to tread across slippery surfaces and run over snow with the greatest of ease, in short a prime example of the perfect predator.
The amber Dragga had awoken earlier to find the anxious and somewhat troubled form of his mate, Firefly, standing over him, after a brief discussion the tan femme had led her mate away from the comfort of the pack den and the two had been walking together in silence ever since. Draeg had a good idea as to what was troubling the tan femme and in all honesty he was not particularly looking forward to the discussion he knew was to come. After learning of Shayla’s little excursion to Deor with the pack’s emissary Cal to locate the blue-eyed hybrid Draeg had made it a point to squeeze all the information about the encounter from the pair, knowing that it might prove vital to him later if things decided to take a turn for the worse. The amber Dragga had always thought the existence of his pups had been fairly obvious to both his mates, especially from the way he had often disappeared for days at a time before returning to the den to tend to either femme’s every need and spend time with his children. He liked to believe that they both Firefly and Cwen had both been aware of the situation but from what Cal and Shayla had told him the tan femme had been just as shocked as they were to learn that Draeg had other children asides the ones she had sired with her, knowing Firefly the amber varg knew this to be a bad sign and knew from experience that it would eventually come back to haunt him. But she hadn’t made the slightest inclination about the encounter over the past few weeks and Draeg had honestly begun to wonder if she had forgotten the incident, however he planned to discuss the matter with her even if she had. It wouldn’t be fair if to Firefly if he just avoided the matter entirely.
Giving out a deep yawn he looked over to the horizon, Fenris was already high in the air meaning that it was already late morning. Coming to a halt he issued out a quick bark, signaling for his mate that they were far enough from the den and could stop. Taking a moment to relieve himself of an irritating itch behind his ear the amber varg flashed his mate a brief smile, though it quickly faded as he seated himself back onto his haunches with a deep sigh. Feeling rather reluctant to speak Draeg just sat there for a moment staring down at the floor, finally after a moment he turned his attention back toward Firefly and spoke. “You wanted to speak to me Ketama?”
((God this sucks, I lost it about halfway through. Sorry))

Firefly padded on, her lips sealed in silence as the twigs and dried leaves beneath her paws cracked and crunched. Firefly led the pair on, not really knowing where she was headed nor did she know she was actually padding so far. But Fly didn't know what to say to Draeg either. Her thoughts seemed to be jumbled up inside her head and she couldn't sort out what she needed to say and how to say it. She had kept this under her skin for a moon or two and it didn't prove to be very helpful for the tan femme. Though she didn't know that Draeg was expecting this conversation.
Firefly went on expecting Draeg to be behind her as she surrounded herself in her deep thoughts once more when the voice of Draeg echoed through the chili morning air. Firefly stopped and and turned around, her breath noticeable in a fume of smoke, though just visible as she turned around and began to pad back over to Draeg and watched as he scratched an itch before sitting on his haunches, flashing a smile to the tan hybrid. Firefly just padded forward and stopped. She stood in front of Draeg and nodded, "Yes. yes i wanted to talk to you Draeg" she said her voice breaking the sharp silence of the morning atmosphere.
Firefly stopped and took a deep breath but paused, what was she too say? How was she too start? Fly looked up, her cyan blue orbs gazing into Draeg's amber oculars. "Draeg.... I want to know why you did not tell me about your other pups...." Firefly said anger not evident in her voice, or so it was well hidden.
Firefly sighed and let out a low growl, "Cwen's litter." Fly began and stopped, she wasn't at all uneasy she just couldn't find her words. But as she thought more and more about the subject she could feel herself getting warmer as frustration and anger from a previous moon began to return. "Why didn't you tell me Draeg? Why did you keep it away from me? How could you hide something like that? Did you tend to keep it as your secret for as long as you could? But now, but now." Firefly exclaimed and found that she had to tear her gaze away,. "You've hidden your other family for moons!, your pups, they are already walking, running and playing."She growled, "Did you know I met your daughter? Shayla?" Firefly said in a little more then a calm voice. "and do you know what she told me?" Firefly said raising an eyebrow, "She said that I ruined her life. That i ruined a family. She said I ruined your family" Firefly said with a saddened growl and with that she hung her head, her eyes closed as she whispered, her voice hardly audible. yet it held the tone of a femme, her heart shaken and uneasy, "Now what are you going to do about Zenith and Raikan oh amber dragga"
((sorry it kinda sucks))

Firefly turned to face him and at that moment Draeg knew that he had been right to think that she was upset with him, she didn’t return his smile and kept her normal façade up as she doubled back until she was standing in front of him. There was an awkward moment of silence before Firefly finally spoke, answering Draeg’s previous statement and confirming his suspicions as to why she had awakened him so early. Their eyes met for a moment, his amber orbs meeting her flawless cyan gems as she looked up at him. Despite the fact that he couldn’t detect the slightest hint of anger in her tone Draeg knew better than to assume that the tan femme would remain calm for long, he had been with her long enough to know that though Firefly wasn’t quick to anger the tan hybrid still had a fierce temper when her fuse was ran out. Letting out a low whine and hanging his head guiltily the amber Dragga turned his gaze away from his mate, unable to look her in the eye any longer. He knew she was right, he should’ve told her about Shayla and the others immediately after they were born instead of waiting so long but so many things had kept him from telling her. Learning of her pregnancy, convincing Chalos to let her into Deor, Huts’ death, Koan’s disappearance, Nocturnia’s sudden reappearance, his brief argument with Cwen, the birth of Raikan and Zenith, assuming control of Ge-Rad and salvaging the pack, there was just too much for him to take in all at once. Firefly paused for a moment as though the subject might be too much for her before continuing, her tone growing harder as her anger slowly began to rise and direct itself toward the amber varg. The whole time Draeg sat there silently, obediently listening to his mate and never once interrupting her speech. He couldn’t help but wince as she told him what Shayla had said, knowing that he would have to talk to Shayla again later about thinking before she spoke and get his daughter to apologize to the tan femme.
Throughout the course of her speech Draeg had been lowering himself closer and closer to the ground until finally he lay flat on the ground with his tail tucked tightly between his legs, it was a rather undignified position for the dragga to place himself in especially since Firefly was supposed to be his subordinate however the more the tan femme spoke the more ashamed her mate seemed to feel until finally it seemed that she had stripped away all of his confidence. “I’m sorry.” He whined once she was done. “I really am, I always meant to tell you but I was afraid to. So much had happen during that time that it was really hard for me just to come out and tell you like I wanted to, I hadn’t seen you in nearly a moon and when were finally together again I found out that you were pregnant with Zenith and Raikan, on top of that I was still recovering from the shock that Cwen had been sent into labor early and that we both had to flee from Sarnes to avoid being killed. Then I had to convince you to come with me to Deor and convince Chalos to let you join, along with that I had to run back and forth to tend Huts’ injuries, watch over you during your pregnancy, and spend time with my pups and Cwen.”
He stopped and turned his gaze up toward Firefly, his amber eyes meeting with her cyan orbs. “By that time I really started to believe that you had figured it out on your own, that you had realized why I was leaving for days at a time. I began to think that perhaps I didn’t need to discuss Cwen’s pups with you since you already knew them and that if you had a question you’d come ask me, but I was planning on discussing it all with you anyway to see how you felt about everything and make sure that you didn’t feel neglected. Then Nocturnia appeared and tried to steal Lycaon from me and I forgot all about our conversation, Huts died shortly after that…” Draeg’s eyes clouded over with pain and he turned his gaze away from his mate, unable to hold her gaze as memories of the event flooded his mind and reopened wounds that had recently healed. “And I didn’t want to talk to anybody about anything. Koan disappeared on me, he was devastated by Huts’ death and blamed me for her death along with taking away his dreams of ever having a family of his own. Mayan and I both had a falling out and I haven’t seen her since. And with you going into labor you, Zenith and Raikan being born, having to find a new place where I could live with both you and Cwen without having to travel back and forth, by the time I had assumed control of Ge-Rad I found out that Cal and Shayla had already met you.”
Giving out a sad sigh he turned his attention back toward the tan femme, rising feet and slowly padding over to her until he was crouching directly in front of his mate. “I figured that you would confront me immediately but you never did so I began to wonder whether things had went as badly as Cal had portrayed them or if you had just forgotten, I had planned on talking to you about all of this when everything settled down but I guess I waited too long again. Please try not to take what Shayla said seriously, she was just upset about the whole situation and confused as to how I could love anyone other than her mother. I’ve already talked to her about it and I intend to talk to her siblings, including Zen and Rai, about all this as well. Ketama…I never meant to hurt you, you know that I would never intentionally do anything to upset you.” He gave her cheek an affectionate lick. “Please forgive me.”

((sorry for such a long wait! uhh advice...dont leave everything at the last minute to do..))
Firefly let her lips seal, her heart pounded as she could feel her breathes strengthen. her breath was visible in the cool air as she looked down, away from Draeg, hiding the hurt that was so visible in her eyes. She wouldn't have minded. No. She couldn't have really cared if Draeg had had other pups. It was the secrecy that pained her so much. And a treason of doubt trickled through her mind. Maybe she was just being an obstacle in a perfect family? Was the young Shayla right?
Firefly looked up slightly at the soft words by draeg. though comforting she couldn't help but stay angered. Her neck bristled and he lips quivered. So that was why he was gone for so many a days. Firefly had thought he had gone out hunting perhaps, or had been with his two adopted pups. Koan and Huts. Firefly had hardly even thought about Cwen having a litter. She let out a low growl, her ears bending back as she looked up at draeg as he replied with his rational explanation.
But as Firefly listened on she felt herself sadden. So many things had happened. So many events, incidents, yet none she had known about. She did not know that Hut's had died, nor how Draeg had acquired Ge rad. She felt at a loss more then ever. Felt that she as the only one who was clueless. Surely Draeg, her mate could have found time to tell her? Though Firefly felt sympathy for her amber mate and let out a quiet whine. She had remembered the spunky little femme pup, who had been quite sensitive on how Draeg portrayed Firefly as a hybrid. Firefly smiled for the compassionate femme, but sadness when she remembered that she could no longer see the youth..
Firefly's brow furrowed as she looked up. and she spoke. Though her voice hid the bitterness well. It was her same tone yet more strong and crisp. Her cyan orbs traveled over to the amber male. "I understand. You had gone through many events, done many things. You are a busy varg I can see that. But I still don't know how you couldn't tell me. If you didn't want to talk about it, then i don't know." Firefly said, she felt at a loss.and she found that she did not know what she wanted to say. Firefly let out a whine, "I didn't even know where you were going draeg. But I thought you would tell me in time. So I waited but I also thought that you were still i the mountains. I didn't know you were with cwen." Firefly said. "I had tried to go to the mountains...but Gryffin stopped me from finding you" Firefly said and continued. "When I had found out about Cwen, I couldn't believe it." Firefly said her vice now churning in to a growl like state. "I had no idea that cwen had a litter, yet so surprised that her pups were already old enough to walk, talk and run!" Firefly growled. "How many moons was i veiled under a curtain of unknown? And Draeg, if i had not met Shayla, when would you have told me about your other litter?" Firefly said and she began to pace self consciously. "I didn't talk to you about it because I didn't know what to say, Wasn't sure how you'd react. I didn't want to spoil the joy we had about our first litter. But one thing.." Firefly said her voice softening, "I wanted you to tell me instead. I wanted to see if you would tell me, yourself."

Draeg couldn’t help but wince upon seeing Firefly turn away from him, knowing full well that she was trying to hide the pain evident in her features. It always pained him to see her this way, now more than ever since he knew that he was the reason she felt so betrayed. He knew he should have told her about Cwen’s litter sooner but it was just so hard to confront his mate like she had wanted him to, what was he suppose to have told her? Pinning his ears and letting out a low whine the amber varg lowered himself as far down to the ground as he could go, wishing that for at least one time he could do the right thing instead of always hurting the ones he loved. “I was afraid you wouldn’t understand…that you would leave me.” He admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. “I know I was suppose to tell you but what exactly was I suppose to say?”
Firefly spoke again, her tone flat and crisp rather than soft and gentle like it usually was when she spoke. Her mood was obvious by the way she looked at him coupled with the hint of bitterness that was evident in her tone though it was barely detectable almost causing it to go entirely unnoticed by the amber wolf. Draeg watched as Firefly began pacing self-consciously from side to side, tucking his tail between his legs submissively as she explained her reasons for not telling him about her encounter with Cal and Shayla. So it had been a test, and he had failed it. The amber varg rose to his feet and padded over to his mate, placing his paws on her shoulders and casting the tan femme an apologetic look he gently brought her continuing rotation to a halt where he met her cyan gaze.
“Firefly, I shouldn’t have waited so long to tell you about Cwen or our first litter and for that I am truly sorry. But on the memory of my uncle and adopted daughter I never meant to hurt you I swear!” he growled solemnly, his eyes never leaving hers even when he sat himself back on his haunches. “Busy or not there is no excuse for what I did, you had every right to know exactly what was going on in my life especially since it all concerned you. You have been more patient with me than I could ever ask you or anyone else to be and for that I thank you more than you’ll ever know. I had no idea how worried you were, if I had I would have told you everything from the start instead of withholding information from you. It was wrong of me to do so, regardless of the reason.”
Letting out a deep sigh Draeg continued, his words coming out as a stream of frozen vapor as he spoke. “Shayla and the other’s have been around for barely over a moon, she was only about six weeks old when you first met her. I was already planning to tell you about her and the others but I was busy trying to locate a new den for them at the time, it was Huts’ last request that we leave our previous one you see? Huts died a few weeks after the pups were born, despite my best efforts…her health had been gradually deteriorating ever since she lost her fight with Serg while buying time for Cwen and I to escape from Sarnes so she could sire our litter. Koan disappeared shortly after that and I didn’t see him until a few suns back when he arrived at Ge-Rad and became one of the packs warriors. I stumbled into Ge-Rad while searching for a new den and found that the area would support not only Cwen and my first litter, but ours as well. The pack was pretty much empty so I had no trouble finding the pack’s pervious Dragga, Brypaw I think, and challenging him for control of the pack…obviously I won. I intended on telling you about Cwen and our pups once I had gotten her comfortable with idea of having you around and made sure that it was okay with her, everything we do here is a joint decision between the two of us. That’s why I was so nervous when you suddenly showed up the other day without telling me, I hadn’t had time to get her used to the idea yet…that and I was a little annoyed that you decided to come without telling me or bringing an escort with you to watch over Zenith and Raikan.”
He stopped, taking a moment to catch his breath before continuing once again. “I really wish I would’ve shared all of this with you earlier but as you know by now…I’m a fool, instead of going out and fixing the problem I plan on it all going a certain way. Once again I apologize for everything I put you and our children through, I promise that I’ll come to you in the future if there is something in my life that will either concern you, Zen, or Rai and I hope that you are not too angry with me at the moment and will tell me if anything is troubling you in the future.”

Firefly let the silence creep into their surroundings. Her cyan eyes fell, not knowing what else to say. She just blinked thinking wondering. Her ears pricked as she heard carefully to what her amber mate said. She nodded and whined at his telling. She had admired the young Fae known as Huts. She then listened on nodding slightly as he told of his journey into Ge rad to find a suitable home. The tan femme sighed. Finding that her anger was slowly fading.
But Firefly thought on and her eyes fell, when she remembered her first meeting with Cwen. It had not gone too well, no. Firefly growled, how could she dare call her pups runts? The hybrid snarled though it was hidden beneath her glowing eyes. The silver drappa had poked fun at her heritage and not only her's but their pack healer's. Firefly shook out her fur in agitation and sighed.
She looked to Draeg and saw his eyes were full of apologetic love. Firefly whined. Did she cause all this trouble for her amber mate? Though the tan femme was angry with him, she loved him more then anything and it pained her to see him in such a state. maybe its because of me. Firefly thought silently to herself. No, why am I thinking these thoughts? Firefly told herself, but the words Shayla had told her made her rethink. Shayla had said she had ruined their perfect family, Cwen would be happier, and Draeg, at least he would be out of trouble. Firefly thought as she remembered what he had to do to for Cwen's approval of the tan hybrid stay in Ge rad. She whined and looked to Draeg and padded up, her cyan eyes falling once more as she touched him gently by their muzzles.
"I am sorry Draeg. I know, now, that you live more than one life." Firefly offered a loving smile, "Though you're not always the cleverest thinkers when it comes to speaking to faes... I still love you" she said and licked him gently on the lips. But Firefly turned around now and her head lowered, her facade hidden from view of the amber male. Something was troubling hr now, but, how could she say when she didn't want to think of it at all in the first place? "It's my fault all this happened, maybe I should leave." Firefly whispered, her voice not audible to Draeg for hr back was turned toward him. Yes, if she left then maybe draeg could finally have the perfect family.

Draeg watched as Firefly’s anger slowly faded away until finally there was no trace that it had ever been present anywhere on the tan femme’s features and she nodded her head, signaling that she understood what her mate had been trying to explain to her. He knew she was thinking back to her first encounter with Cwen when she lowered her eyes and she shook out her fur in agitation, heaving out a heavy sigh Draeg slipped his muzzle beneath Firefly’s chin and pressed himself firmly against the tan wolf hybrid’s side. “Firefly don’t mind Cwen, she’s just a bit jealous that I’m not going to be giving her my full attention now that you’re here. She didn’t mean to insult your heritage.” He whined comfortingly. “She’ll come around eventually, after all I did. Just steer clear of her until she does.”
Their muzzles touched and Draeg felt the familiar pleasurable sensation that had always come with their kiss, she smile at him and the amber Dragga felt his lugs buckle as she gently ran her soft tongue across his lips. Her words caused him to look away and his nose to burn with embarrassment, pressing himself closer to his mate he gave her muzzle one last lick before rubbing side of his head affectionately against hers. “So do I, even more than the day at the river.” He murmured into her ear. A low whine escape his muzzle as Firefly pulled away from him and averted her gaze, at first Draeg thought that she was merely embarrassed but upon seeing her lower her head he realized that there was something else troubling his mate. Padding closer to her he closed the gap between them, he was about to ask her what was troubling her when he noticed that she was mumbling to herself. Perking his ears and craning his head forward he managed to catch the last part of her statement, knowing that she was voicing out her thoughts the amber varg gave out a low whimper and once again placed himself beside the tan femme. “Firefly, you know how much I need you by my side right.” He asked, trying to make it seem as though he had not overheard her statement. “I know you might think that you are causing problems by being here but your not, I know that Cwen will eventually warm up to you and I really don’t think she meant what she said about Zenith and Raikan. Remember that I was far more aggressive then her when we first met and look how we turned out.” He gave her ear an affectionate lick. “Please, just give this some time, everything will work out. You’ll see.”

Firefly let out a soft whine and nuzzled her amber mate. The feeling of the male comforting her battled out the feeling of anger and sadness. Here she felt protected under the watch and love of Draeg. Firefly ran her tongue across his muzzle and closed her eyes as she released a heavy sigh of content. The evening anger and aggravation seeming to have faded away as the moonlight overflowed over the lands of Transylvania.
Firefly stepped back, so now her cyan gaze took in the full form of Draeg and she offered a warm smile, though worry still clung to her like an autumn leaf, refusing to surrender to the winter cold. Firefly looked up and her sapphire eyes locked onto Draeg's amber ones. Firefly frowned and shrugged, "But Draeg, when is this eventually going to happen huh?" Firefly said in a pressing manner. She looked back at draeg, "I know you mean this well, and to well protect me and our children but Draeg. I can't hide forever, I don't want to run forever." Firefly sighed and dipped her head, "I've done enough running." she spoke, her tone washing into a whisper.
But Firefly found herself subconsciously pad a step closer to the amber male and once again let him embrace her in warm comfort. Firefly nuzzled him back and she listened to his words, soft and Firefly found herself believing each one, she wanted to believe each one. Firefly twitch an ear, could Draeg have possibly read her mind? Or did the tan femme actually let her thoughts escape her lips in the form of words? No matter now, thought Fly as she wondered on.
Firefly then gave a small hint of a chuckle when Draeg had assured that Cwen would eventually warm up to the tan hybrid. Firefly wondered how many lifetimes 'eventually' lasted. Firefly then looked up to Draeg and chuckled, "I'm not so sure about your silver mate though." she said. Though when Draeg had mentioned about how he had acted before Firefly needed to step back and wonder if it could work out, but then again Draeg and Cwen were two different vargs, and besides these were two different stories, two different meanings. It was not that Firefly didn't want to make up with Cwen, though of course the tan hybrid too was jealous at points and knew how Cwen felt. Fly just guessed that she was just better at hiding it from Draeg then the silver drappa. Firefly then shrugged and her gaze was directed to the navy blue sky, watching the twinkling stars as they shimmered and hung in a swirl of dark blue ocean with a bright full moon that crowned the sky and turned it to royalty.

For a while they just sat together in silence, savoring the warmth of the other as their bodies pressed up against each other. As they sat their beneath midday sun Draeg found himself wishing, and not for the first time, that time would freeze so that he could simply remain this way with Firefly for all eternity and never again have to worry about the troubles of the world or whether others would scorn his mate because of her heritage, but once again images of Cwen and his offspring flashed through his mind and Draeg knew that he could never leave them alone. The moment finally ended with Firefly breaking away from their warm embrace and offering Draeg a warm smile that made his heart pound rapidly against his chest, however he gave out a low whine when he noticed the doubt that shone in her crystal blue eyes. It hung around her like a phantom tormenting her very soul and the amber Dragga knew that despite his words of encouragement that his mate fears would never fully diminish and that she would probably always feel like she was interfering with the relationship that he had formed with Cwen.
Upon hearing her question Draeg couldn’t help but pin his ears, knowing that he had no truthful answer in which he could give Firefly that would abate her fears. “I really don’t know Ketama.” He sighed in defeat. However slipping he slipped his muzzle under her tan chin, he lifted it up so that she was looking directly into his golden gaze. “Firefly listen, I don’t know when Cwen will come around but even if she doesn’t that doesn’t mean you have to hide. You are a part of Ge-Rad now and a member of this family, the pack will accept you regardless of who or what you are. Anyone who doesn’t will have to answer to me, and that goes for Zenith and Raikan too. I’m not going lie to you, I’m not always going to be there to watch over you and there will be times you’ll be on your own and have to defend yourself from others. Your position in the pack won’t be secured merely because you’re my mate, you’re going to have to fight every step of the way to earn your place in pack and avoid becoming the sikla, even when you do secure a position you’re going to have to constantly fight to keep it.” He paused and his tongue lolled out as he gently ran it along the length of Firefly’s muzzle before staring at her once again through heartfelt amber eyes. “But I know you will succeed and I promise you things will be even better then they were in Deor, I’ll take care of you and make sure that your happy here no matter what happens. You don’t have to run anymore.”
Once again Draeg found himself holding his mate in loving embrace as she padded into his loving paws, his tail wagging happily as he breathed in her sweet scent and savored the feeling of her warm body rubbing against his. They cuddled for a bit with Firefly giving out a slight chuckle as Draeg continued to reassure her of her acceptance into Ge-Rad, apparently still skeptical about the thought of Cwen ever warming to her and amused with the fact that he would compare his Drappa to himself. “Look at it this way Ketama, despite all her misgivings about you Cwen allowed you to join the pack and accepted you into Ge-Rad without really starting any conflict whatsoever.” He pointed out. She pulled away again and Draeg could see that she was deep in thought, after a moment she shrugged and turned her attention toward the endless blue abyss that made up the sky. Padding over to her the amber varg took his place beside the wolf hybrid and seated himself back on his haunches, tenderly brushing his muzzle against hers in a show of affection before following her cyan gaze. “I think you’ll have to wait a bit if you want to see the stars Ketama.” He chuckled, cocking an amused brow at her and draping his bushy tail over hers. “What are you looking for anyway?”

Firefly smiled and nuzzled Draeg. All earlier tensions, frustrations and anger seemed t have disappeared silently and the tan femme found herself sighing with content. Her cyan eyes traveling over to the amber male called Draeg.
Firefly looked up to him, their eyes meeting as she nodded, "I know Draeg." She said, "I know it won't be easy but, I hope you know I think this is the one." Firefly said and chuckled, "Third ones the charm. Home I mean. This i think is where I'll stay."
She then returned his kisses and nuzzled him gently, "I know it'll be hard but I'm up for it. Firefly then listened closely, her ears twitching slightly. You won't have to run anymore his voice rang through her mind and she found the corner's of her lips tugging with a warm smile. It felt right, it felt nice, it felt like home. She nodded and padded forward nuzzling Draeg and slightly burying her tanned muzzle into his amber tinged fur. "Thank you Draeg." Firefly whispered and she sighed.
She didn't know how long she stood there in that embrace bu it seemed much longer and Firefly did not want to separate but in the end she stepped back and smiled. Her breath curled in light wisps of smoke around her muzzle. "I guess your right Draeg." she said quietly, though she didn't think much about it at that moment. Partly because she didn't want to worry herself.
Instead she had taken her gaze and brought it up to the stars. When she heard Draeg's question she laughed "Well, remember that night when we were in those fields of Firefly's? I had looked up and I had seen the brightest star?" Firefly said with a hint of a chuckle, her eyes glowing with affection and spark. "Well, I'm trying to find just that." she said with a nod and a large grin. Whenever the tanned femme would see that star she would remember that very night and it would always bring a smile to her lips.
((sorry not a very good post))

Draeg felt his heart race as the sound of Firefly’s laughter filled his ears like some fluid liquid and he found himself pressing even closer to the tan femme, glancing at her through the corner of his eye and casting her a warm smile. “I remember, that was the day I courted you and we became one.” He growled fondly, the memory of the event still fresh in his mind as though it still had only just happened the day before. “The brightest star, eh? If I recall correctly wasn’t the brightest star supposed to be your mother? Well then I think I can help.” His amber eyes scanning the starry night sky until they eventually settled on a single, solitary star shining brightly down upon the two lovers, as though it were looking down and watching them like some sort of guardian spirit. “There you go.” He yipped, gesturing to the tiny speck of light with his muzzle. “That’s the one isn’t it?”
