The younger gave a startled growl. His father's affection bothered him; in truth, it made him feel young and foolish again. While normally, that wouldn't have been a problem, today it was different; Lydair was only inches away. He felt himself burning with embarassment; not only was his father embarassing him, but he'd wanted their relationship to come out.. a bit less awkwardly.
He looked earthward. "U-u-um..." he mumbled vaugely, wishing he could just sink into the dirt. If there had been a way to do so, at that moment, he would have. "S-sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I-I just was waiting forv the right time. And... Well, I was a little worried."

Lydair's own lip twitched as she watched her Dragga collapse on the ground, his sides heaving with involuntary laughter, and she took the time to gaze at Koan, her cyan orbs glittering a hint of triumph. A low chuckle passed her pearly maw and she broke into a bright grin as Draeg tossed a paw around Koan and ruffled his fur and ears; the hybrid's tail again whirled through the air before slowing and tumbling into an arc that brushed against the cobalt fur of her slender back. Padding towards her Dragga and love, the Healer offered a lick to each before allowing her full attention to be placed on Koan; she could nearly imagine the red that was most likely flushing his cheeks as Draeg laughed and congratulated them. Dipping her own, Lydair sat down, her thick tail curling around her hinds.
Nipping Koan's muzzle playfully she let her tongue glide across his muzzle as she gazed at him, her voice a low whisper. "What's to be worried about, Koan?" She spoke into her ear with a flick of his tail. Turnign back to her Dragga, she grinned again and laughed with him, nodding. "I suppose this way with words runs in his family?" she asked teasingly with a cocked brow. Leaning against the handsome male she felt her own flush of embaressment and wondered if she would be the next target of Draeg's spontaneous laughter and glee; it was half her fault the entire scheme came into play but she couldn't help it. The cobalt healer again nuzzled the male she loved and laid her graceful head on his paws, a smile curling across her maw. "Are you really going to exclaim it to the entire forest of Ge-Rad, Draeg?" Her voice was quiet; the hybrid suddenly found herself to be tired; her head tilted slightly as she craned to see both Varg without too much trouble.

Sensing his son’s embarrassment the amber varg released his hold on Koan and swatted his ear playfully before giving the scarred adolescent a little room to breath, allowing him the chance to salvage some of his fallen dignity in the eyes of his mate. “Worried? About what? That I wouldn’t approve?” Draeg growled, his amber eyes still glowing with amusement. “You know this is nothing to be embarrassed about, I’m glad that you’ve found someone in the pack that makes you happy. However a word to the wise Koan, don’t wait if you want to tell someone something otherwise it’ll just blow up in your face…like now.” Once again he broke off into another fit of laughter though it subsided after a moment allowing the proud Dragga a chance to compose himself in front of the two subordinates.
He returned Lydair’s affections as she came forward and offered each male an affectionate lick, brushing his muzzle against the side of her head affectionately before pulling away and looking down at her through warm amber eyes. It felt odd that only a few moments ago Draeg had seen the wolf hybrid as no more than a subordinate and a friend, yet because of a few simple words and awkward gestures she was to be considered family. Not that Draeg mind, the amber Dragga was thrilled that his son had managed to find himself a mate within Ge-Rad knowing that it would help to ease the pain he felt over Huts’ death and he had always like the Lydair from the start. She would make a good mate for Koan, she was as kind and caring as Firefly yet a firm and strict as Cwen thanks to her position as pack healer meaning that she would keep her mate in line. Still, that didn’t make the situation any less awkward. He watched as Lydair gave Koan’s muzzle an affectionate nip before rolling her tongue gently across his muzzle, whispering softly into his ear so that Draeg couldn’t hear what pass between them. “It would appear so.” He laughed as the cobalt femme teased him. A warm smile worked its way up his muzzle as he watched the blue-eyed she wolf lean into Koan thick, course fur, the look on her face a mixture of pleasure and embarrassment as though she enjoyed being in such close proximity to her mate and yet at the same time was didn’t want Draeg to see.
At her question Draeg merely shrugged, knowing that the pack would find out about their union sooner or later whether he was the one to inform them or not. “Dragga or not, it’s really not my place to tell anyone about your union. However I think that seeing it is a cause for celebration I could announce it once we’re done here if you want?” he explained, laying himself down on the ground. As he lay there staring at the pair lean into each other an idea suddenly formed in his mind and Draeg turned his attention over to Koan, his eyes shining with silent laughter. “So, has Lydair’s time come yet?” he asked casually, as though discussing his son’s sex life came naturally to him. “Remember that I’ll be always happy to give you a few pointers, just call me so I can come see how you’re doing and tell you if your doing it right. Hell we can make a game out of it if you want, I can bring Cwen or Firefly with me and we can talk about it afterwards. If she’s anything like Cwen then be prepared to work for it, don’t get frustrated if she doesn’t let you on right away, remember that courting her is half the fun. Be careful that she doesn’t bait you otherwise you might find yourself lying flat on your belly with her laughing over your miserable hide. Remember that when you finally mount her to keep a firm hold of her waist otherwise she might throw you off, don’t give her a chance to resist once you’ve gotten on top and watch out for her teeth. Just come forward and pounce!”

The cobalt fae gave a grin to Draeg as he passed his amber muzzle over her cheek; realizing with a jolt that she was now more connected to Draeg and his family than she originally knew; now not only as a packmate but more along the lines of a daughter through Koan. Unsure if Draeg and his true family would think of it she merely shrugged the matter off; there were other things to think of as she twisted her neck around to drape her slender maw across Koan’s muscled form, her tail twitching as she kept one white-trimmed ear curled towards the males. Tilting her head gently at Draeg’s offer her words flowed softly from her lips. ”I wouldn’t mind,” the fae agreed, drawing her back to gaze lovingly at Koan. ”Koan? Would you care?”
Sitting up, the healer crossed her front paws, her beautiful coat glimmering in amber rays of Fenris, partially listening to Draeg and Koan yet at the same time wondering how the male would deal with his father after such a hilarious outbreak of the two’s relationship. However, as her attention came into focus on Draeg and her mind registered his words, she felt the itching heat of embarrassment as the male spoke of how Koan was to approach mounting her. ”Draeg!” She cried, scrabbling to her paws and half laughing. Glancing quickly to Koan, and unsure of which male to avoid first, the hybrid simply crouched down, ducking her head to hide her embarrassment. Lydair was young, and love was new to her; the way Draeg was putting it he sounded as if there would be no awkward tension between the older wolves and the younger if in fact they did come together to talk about how the mating should be done. The hybrid suddenly found a chuckle playing on her lips and she flicked her tail towards Koan’s muzzle with a sly smile. Lydair stopped as she noticed Draeg making his way over to her, a devious smile visible on his features as he pulled his new daughter-in-law close and whispered softly into her ear. "Let me tell you about a little trick that Cwen used to do when I was still courting her..." the words that followed brought an enticing grin to her face and she nodded her head, flashing a quick smile to her Dragga and new father-in-law.
Standing up, she again shot a slightly flushed look towards Draeg before her playful smile evolved into a flirty grin and again she swept her tail over Koan’s maw, gazing at him with a piercing cyan gaze. ”So Koan,’ she whispered, her voice light and wispy on the wind as she padded around the male, coming in to rub against her thick coat with her own cobalt and pearl one. ”What do you think about all this?” The healer let her tongue glide over her love’s lips before moving away from him with a flick of her tail, one ear curling slightly to hear his response. Sitting in the solitude of the shadows, Lydair let a flirtatious smirk grace her dazzling features before relaxing and letting her arched tail swathe her nimble paws, not bothering to cast her glance to Koan. Lookign now towards Draeg, the healer gave hima small wink before speaking to her dragga. "He'll have far more than my teeth to worry about." Lydair teased, wondering with a burnign curiousity what Koan would do -and say- next.

The male said nothing. It was again a good thing he had fur. He was burning, absolutley burning at his fathers comments. "I'm going to kill you. I'm regretting that I held back last time." he said, quite calmly. "You idiot. You did that just to humilate me!" The younger shot his father a furious glance. "I thought you were the mature one."
In his anger the male snarled at his father furiously. "I didn't butt into what you were doing with females!" he growled. His father had no right to mock him; after all, the amber Dragga had two mates. With a pang, Koan suddenly felt as if he were no better then his father.
The male turned away, trying not to listen to either of their verbal jabs. "Sheesh. This isn't just some joke, you know." he said, before stalking off. This had thrown his whole mood off. He was hurt by his fathers laughter. Koan had been trying to tell him for a while, but it had never exactly been a good time. And now he was mocking him. And on top of it, he had to mock him in front of the wolf he wanted to court. As if she thought it was a joke... he sighed, and kept on walking.

The look on Lydair’s face was priceless. Draeg couldn’t help but laugh as he watched his daughter-in-law scramble to her feet, her face a mask of embarrassment as she listened to the amber Dragga coach his son, her mate, on how to court her and the best way to mount her. He laughed even harder still when he noticed the startled expression plastered on her face, she clearly hadn’t been paying attention to the conversation and had apparently been caught off guard by Draeg’s previous statement which only seemed to draw a bigger rise from the golden furred wolf. Even better still was look on Koan’s face, that look of embarrassed surprise as he tried to sink into the ground and disappear from sight altogether so that he would no longer have to bare his father’s incisive teasing. Draeg was laughing so hard that his sides began to ache and he found that he was having trouble breathing until he finally began to run out of breath, causing his laughter to diminish somewhat. Still laughing he watched as Lydair ducked her head down in a feeble attempt to hide her embarrassment from her mate and father-in-law before giving out a slight chuckle and flicking her tail towards Koan, seeing this gave Draeg an idea and he gave out a devious smile. Rising to his feet he padded over to Lydair, throwing a paw over her shoulder he pulled his new daughter-in-law close and whispered softly into her ear. "Let me tell you about a little trick that Cwen used to do when I was still courting her…" he began in a low tone so that Koan couldn’t hear. “She use to do this thing with her tail, always brought me straight to my knees.” It didn’t take long for Draeg to instruct Lydair on what to do and in only a matter of moments she was off, flashing him a quick smile as she left.
Like Lydair the realization that Draeg was now related to the stunning fae had come as a bit of a shock to the amber varg, the knowledge that she would now be closer to him than she normally would have been danced about his head like a weasel taunting a rabbit out from its burrow. In his moment of mirth Draeg hadn’t exactly given the idea much though but as he lay watching his new daughter flirt with his eldest son he began processing this new information. Lydair was a kind and gentle varg with strong beliefs and morals, well liked by her packmates and alpha’s as well as a valuable member of Ge-Rad, she was fairly attractive and respectful to both Cwen and Draeg, one of the few wolves that had yet to show any kind of aggression towards her alpha’s, even Koan had been determined to kill his father when he first arrived and even now seemed to resent his father along with both of his mates, she did what she was told with question and preformed her job without being asked, even better the pups seemed to adore her as much as she did them. Looking over at her Draeg concluded that Lydair would make a good mate for Koan and a welcome addition to their ever-growing family, though he couldn’t help but feel a pang of regret over the fact that Koan never really had a chance with Huts. However he shook the feeling off, knowing that now was a time for celebration and that the golden furred drappa wouldn’t appreciate him mourning her at such a tender moment. “She’d probably scold me.” He said fondly. Turning his attention back over to the pair Draeg watched as Lydair gave Koan a flirtatious look before flicking her tail along his scarred muzzle and rubbing against his muscular form as the amber wolf had instructed, the whole time Draeg could Koan’s embarrassment growing as he tried to ignore his mate’s antic’s. This drew out another rise from Draeg and once again he found himself breaking out into another fit of hysterical laughter. The amber varg was pleased to see how readily his new daughter-in-law had taken to her assignment despite her obvious embarrassment at having been placed in such an awkward situation only moments before, she had listened intently to his instructions without question and followed them to the letter immediately and without any hesitation whatsoever. Draeg watched as she padded away from her mate and took a spot in the shadows once she was done, apparently done with her work. But not before shooting Draeg a sly wink and letting out one final statement.
Koan’s reaction was anything but what his father had been hoping for, unlike Lydair the younger male hadn’t taken too well to the collective teasing and as such was furious with Draeg for embarrassing him in front of his mate. His laughter dying on his lips the amber male made as to tell his son to lighten up, but before he could Koan had risen to his feet and stalked off into the brush. Realizing that he might have gone to far Draeg pinned his ears shamefully and gave out a slight whine, knowing that he had inadvertently struck a blow to his son’s pride and in turn hurt his feelings. Quickly rising to his feet he padded into the brush after Koan, beckoning for Lydair to follow with a quick flick of his tail so that she might be of some assistance in calming the scarred warrior down enough so that he would cooperate. It didn’t take long for the pair to catch up with the angry varg and immediately Draeg darted forward and pounced on his son, grabbing him firmly in his jaws by the scruff of the neck and holding him down for a moment until he calm down. “Quit acting like such a pup will you, you’re acting like I’m always picking on you!” he barked good-naturedly. “You know that we were only having a little fun so quit being such a kill joy, I haven’t teased you since…since…uh?” The amber varg looked genuinely confused, not being able to recall a single time he had ever picked on his son. “Ever…wow!” When he finally released his hold on the younger male and allowed him room to stand, the amber Dragga gave out a light whine. “Koan, I’m sorry if I upset you. You know that I didn’t mean to humiliate you, I just wanted to have a little fun with you like we used too. You’re always so distant nowadays and you never spend time with me anymore. I know you’re an adult now but I was just hoping things could be like they use to every once and awhile.” Taking a step back he did something that no one but Firefly and Cwen had ever seen him do before, he rolled over on his back and tucked his paws into his chest in a submissive manner. He didn’t seem to care that Lydair was right there watching him or that he could lose face for submitting to someone other than his Drappa in front of his subordinates.

Again the younger felt a spike of anger flare up in his heart. Draeg just couldn't leave well enough alone could he? Just as he was about to turn, snarling to shout at him, the massive amber varg pounced on him, seizing him roughly by his neck scruff. An indignent yelp escaped his muzzle, and suddenly, he felt as if he were just a youngling again, a pup, helpless against his fathers power. He squirmed uncomfortably, a wave of humiliation rising over him like a tide. This was a rather harsh reminder of who was the father in this place.
Did he deserve this? He felt as if he was being punished for something that he did not understand. Why did Draeg keep doing this?
As his father spoke, Koan fult another sharp edged bubble of anger roil up from within his writhing depths. Perhaps it was the first time that Draeg had made fun of him, but still.. . what gave him the right? Draeg didn’t understand… he couldn’t understand why it was so hard to tell him this.. How could they understand how guilty he felt that he loved again, that he still could. He felt disloyal, unclean, foul.
Draeg comment on how distant he seemed now, how far away he had pushed him. Koan couldn’t help but snort out a reply: “Didn’t mean to humiliate me? What, did you expect mocking me would make me incredibly… happy!? This isn’t easy for me, not at all. You’ve never had this trouble, nay you simply took both when one wasn’t enough. It hurts… when you make fun of it.”
Then his voice changed subtly, an undertone of longing and grief in it. “Like it used to be? It can’t be…” He sighed softly, staring at Draeg. “There’s a reason I’m distant… it hurts too much to be around you… to want to be able to just feel safe, but… be unable to.”
The Dragga’s submission was the last straw, and it caused an ache in him that drove deeper then any. He couldn’t stay here, couldn’t let stand to see that look in Draeg’s eyes. “Stop… do you want me to hate myself even more? You’ve succeded.”
As he began to leave, he paused, glancing at the cobalt fae. “Now you know… who I really am.” Koan turned more and kept walking. “Perhaps you’d both be better had I never met you.” He ran now, his heart an acheing duality. It throbbed, longing for his father, calling to her.
(sorry for the dark post... its just my mood. Anyway, I've got a thread set up for the both of you. Lydair, Totally Confused, and Draeg, your will be called :The Spiral:. Post in the ones ment for you, kindly, both of you. Thanks, and sorry for any confusion)

The hiden grin that had sprawled across her face melted into a sad scowl as the warrior darted away. At Draeg's signal the Healer rose gently to her paws, dragging herself across the grass, her cyan gaze on Koan's silver form as he left. "Koan.." Lydair whispered dejectedly, hanging her head. "It was a joke to me." Her white-trimmed ears were puleld tight against her dark blue skull; her tail arched over ehr back defiantly and as Draeg broke into a slow run Lydair growled and leapt after him, her legs churning as she ran. s Koan whirled to look at them, Lydair met his gaze with her flaming eyes, opening her pearly maw to speak; however Draeg quickly snatched his son's scruff and dragged him closer before tryign his hardest to talk a bit of sense into the proud warrior; Lydair realized and knew he probably had litle left after Draeg's comment but the femme hadn't thought that he would take it so seriously. He's right. the fae thought, holding her supposed mate's gaze. He's distant...even in the time I've known him, he's been in his own thoughts.
And then he turned to her. Her gaze ached, stunted by love, and she took a step back as he spoke to her, his tone low. "I know who you are, Koan." She responded, glancing at her white paws. "I know the wolf I fell in love with." Her voice wasa low hiss as her plumd tail twitched. Looking back up to see his wheel and walk away, then run, her lip curled back to bare her fangs. "Don't you say that to me." She cried harshly, darting forward. Whirling around to face her Dragga, fury flaring in her orbs with streams of sadness fleetign through her cyan eyes, her maw quivered before her words stumbled out. "Why does he always run, Draeg?"
(((Aye, gotcha.)))

At Koan’s comment a flash of anger flared through Draeg and he bared his fangs menacingly at his son, did Koan really think that he had never had problems of his own, that he had just taken two mates merely because he wasn’t satisfied with just one? “Enough!” he hissed angrily, pulling himself up off the ground and holding his tail high in the air as a show of dominancy. “Is that what you think? That I chose to have two mates because I wasn’t satisfied with one? Well that’s not what happened! You know nothing of what I went through, it’s you that’s never had this kind of trouble and it’s you who doesn’t understand so don’t even try to compare your problems to mine! So don’t lash out at me because your still feeling depressed, instead of dwelling on the past perhaps you should look to the future for a change!” His anger died somewhat as the conversation continued until finally Draeg watched as Koan padded off to wallow in his own self pity once more, his back turned toward the amber Dragga and his mate. Lydair darted forward yelling after her mate only to be ignored as he continued his stride and disappeared into the dense undergrowth, giving out a sympathic whine and nuzzling her shoulder Draeg did his best to comfort the cobalt colored femme. “Don’t take it personally, it’s just that running is the only way he knows how deal with things. Even when he was a pup and his confidence was little more than a drop of water amidst the ocean blue. He’ll come around eventually, he always does. But until then the best we can do is be patient with him until he does.”

(and if i was here to reply, it would go something like this. "Maybe I could if all my reminders of the past were also nothing but memories. And if you don't want to be lashed out at, just leave me alone. That's what you want to do anyway, isn't it?" Because, of course, Koan is the uber emo wolf. xP And this isn't self pity, it's self-disgust. Belive me, there is a HUGE difference. Just wanted to point this out to ya'll! : ) Sorry for the random OOC)
