(since most of the other threads seem to have too many posts for me to read in the short time i can post right now, i might aswell make another one.)
[glow=navy,2,300]the glow from the recently risen sun settled on the steel grey fur of a slender faemme as she sat and cocked her head at the blazing disc of Fenris. it had not been long since GeRad had gotten new Alphas, and she had been in the pack five seconds longer than they had, and yet she had still not socialized with any of her new pack, or the Alphas.
Ivee had been loath to socialize in large groups, and in her wandering she had not met many vargs, or been in a large group of vargs. in fact, this was the first time she had been in a pack since she was a young pup. Ivee shook her head violently, shaking away thefragments of memories that thoght brought up. no, she refused to remember that.
but whether she liked it or not the past always haunted Ivee. her light grey eyes flickered down to the scar that ran down her right foreleg and she shuddered. she wondered how many vargs knew of her curse in this past. and her scar was the constant reminder of the first time she had Seen. the first time she realised that she was different from all the other vargs in Transylvania, different even from the Seer Mayan. for the fortune teller saw the past, present and future in water, whereas Ivee could only see the past in blood. not much use, yet she was not about to try and push her 'gift' any further. it scared her, all she wished was to be normal. and now she had worked up the courage to join a pack, she wasnt about to let it ruin her chances at a normal life.
the young faemme sighed, she needed someone to distract her from her thoughts. all her odl friends she had made had moved on now, so she couldnt go to any of them for solace. no she needed the comfort of conversation with anyone. lifting her grey muzzle to the dawn she let out a slow tuneful howl to any GeRad Varg willing to answer it. any varg wishing for company.[/glow]

It was another cool and calm autumn day in the Ge-rad lands. Fenris was slowly rising now and the sky were streaked with fluffy clouds. A cool autumn breeze whistled through the trees as multi-coloured leaves began to fall slowly to the ground before the wind swept them upwards again. Winter was soon approaching and Cal wasn't getting used to the recent change in temperature. But still, other than the weather, he felt no coldness from the inside, only warmth. He had succeeded only recently in joining in the ranks of Ge-rad. Taking in the job of Emissary. His responsibility is to represent his alpha (Draeg) and is responsible to deliver messages to other packs. This could result in travelling for days, and also he had his scounting duties to do. Even so, it was nice to come back to the packlands which he was now getting used to, and called it "home".
It was a tad early in the morning and perhaps not many members would be roaming about right now. Cal decide to have a little time by himself, pushing away duties and crowds for the moment. The breeze ruffled his brown fur as he continue to pad through the area. It wasn't Cal was anti-social, but he prefered not to speak to so many strangers at once who were now his packmates. But...life was perfect now, finally dropping the heavy weight of revenge for his parents. Deciding to move on with life and look into the future. Forgetting his past, it's only the future that Cal finds important. Feeling that this pack would be a good place to start all over, having his mate by his side at last and a decent pack who he now called family. The autumn wind blew a scent into his nostrils, quite strong but unfamiliar. A slow tuneful howl soon rang through the air...Perhaps someone else decide to take a little stroll in the morning. Chuckling slightly, the brown he-varg decide to take the direction of the scent, and soon he found his target. A slender faemme with steel gray fur stood stilla nd stared into space. Seeing by the expression on her face, she was emerged in deep thoughts. Giving a quick bark to announce his presence, Cal moved through the trees and when he was at a few vargs length from the unknown fae, dipped his head in greeting. "Hello, I am Cal. Pleased to meet another fellow member of this pack. What brings you up so early in the morning?"
(Hey, great to see an old Ge-rad member here.)

[glow=navy,2,300]Ivee turned at a sharp bark and forced a friendly smile, she hadnt expected someone to answer her call so soon. and she was certain she had not seen this varg before, however he had a friendly disposition. she dipped her head in welcome and respect, for she was still young, and her habits of showing respect to all vargs odler than her, even if they werent older by a lot.
'Greetings Cal, i am Ivee.' she replied with a smile, this time, not forced. but she decided not to tell this varg that she slept little to save herself from the vivid nightmares that prowled in the realm of sleep. 'i enjoy watching Fenris rise to greet the land.' she answered simply. 'and yes, i havent had chance to meet many other vargs of this pack, i havent been a member long, and before that, well, i was travelling.' she shrugged lightly. 'but a varg sometimes needs the company of others, and the life of a kerl was getting a little... tiresome.'
she cocked her head to the side slightly and then smiled. it had been a while since she had had a conversation with a stranger. and she found herself still not quite used to the arts of keeping a conversation flowing. 'were you in the pack before Cwen and Draeg became the new Alphas?' she asked. [/glow]
(hmm old? only just, i didnt get chance to post before GeRad got new Alphas.)

Fenris began to rise late in the autumn day, making it already nearer mid-day than a summer’s day. Pearly white limbs cycled rhythmically beneath the sturdy body of a quick-footed varg. Her thickening winter pelt was already proving useful against the chilling air that everyday seemed to grow thinner until it would soon be sharp enough to slice painfully into the lungs of a running lera. Thankfully the darkening greys and blacks that streaked her back picked up the rays of sunlight and helped keep her warm in the colder days when the fearsome sun God made an appearance. Panting heavily the silver Drappa came to a stand still next to a large oak tree and she scented it with deep curiosity. Another set of vargs had passed by here not long before her, and it was obvious by her placid reactions that they were of her own pack – not wandering Kerls or rival intruders. However these two she’d still not met before, let alone allow them into her pack. “Must have been Draeg who’d given them passage into Ge-Rad,” she thought silently to herself, passing on by the ancient tree and continuing on her travels, veering off in the direction where the previous vargs had went.
The sweet, timid melody ahead drew Cwen in further and she slowed to a halt as the voices reached her perked auds. Peering through the thick underbrush, her dazzling grey orbs caught the sight of two varg; male and female. Listening in for several minutes, Cwen decided to make her entrance and growled deeply to them both in greeting, her tassel held high and dominant, as her footfalls were sleek and well placed. “Well greetings you pair. It’s always interesting to meet the new members of my own pack. Cal, Ivee,” to each she nodded courtly and circled them once, surveying each one in turn before sitting to the side of them, legs folding neatly beneath her slender form.
((Sorry that's so aweful, but it'll have to do))

Cal watched as she dipped her head in welcome, and he did the same. It was always nice to meet someone new especially when they're of the same pack. Feeling that this morning might not be such a loss after all, Cal looked over the faemme at the rising Fenris. "Ivee, a pleasure to meet you." beamed Cal. "Well, I haven't met too many members. I also like to watch Fenris rise in the morning. It's a view that not many vargs have seen, even though it arrives every morning..." whispered Cal. It was a nice and comfortable feeling to be in Ge-rad. Recently the brown he-varg could feel calling it home. Of course his job as emissary means that he doesn't get to spend as much time here as others but still he would occasionally visit his mate and his friends here often. Yellow optics staring at Ivee as she seemed to have been a alone for some time now and were slightly awkward at some conversations. "No, I was actually thinking of joining before, but some things delayed me and when I notice that this pack had new alphas, I decide then that it was a right time to come here."
A growl behind him caught him off guard and as he wheeled around he caught sight of a grey faemme padding towards him. The breeze blew her scent and it was extremely familiar. Staring at her tassel raised high and dominant, he realised that this was the Drappa, Cwen. "How do you do Cwen? Pleasure to meet my Drappa, always a pleasure..." The brown he-varg bowed his head down slightly in respect, and yellow optics staring at Cwen as she circled him and Ivee. Of course he knew all about Cwen, he had heard enough from Draeg and of course she was the Drappa and had part leading the pack. "So, what brings up so early in the morning?"

((sorry for taking so long guys!))
[glow=navy,2,300]Ivee smiled, Cal seemed like a nice varg at least, which was always a good thing. she nodded enthusiatically. 'yes, i tend to be an early riser so i get to see more than some might.' she said, mentioning nothing of why exactly she was such an early riser. the fact that sleep brought vivid nightmares was not something Ivee liked to divulge onto vargs she had only jsut started talking to. or ones she knew better even.
Ivee tensed as another figure strode towards them, then hastily dipped her head in respect at Cwen. she tried her best not to tremble. the sudden appearance of her new Alphas left her no time to prepare her state of mind. and in truth, Ivee was terrified after she had learnt of the couple's past experience with one varg in particular. Serg. she forced a smile and she hope her worry and inbuilt fear was not noticeable on the outside. maybe she just looked like a varg intimidated by those in power. a foolish young faemme perhaps. in fact the truth was somewhat more in-depth and troubling.
whe she had heard of the rift between the Alphas and the Dragga Serg, Ivee had immediately considered joining another pack. for she had met the black pelted varg when he was younger, before he had joined the Balkar pack, when he was searching for its location. Ivee had shown him the way, and they had been on amiable terms since. she had helped him in other ways too, for he had saved her life from drowning, although probably not from kind-heartedness. she was sure he'd find a use for her later on. for her curse, if he ever convinced her to use it willingly. in fact, it was difficult to keep track of who was in debt to who. but she was sure that the estranged friendship - if it could be called that - would not be looked upon lightly by her new Dragga and Drappa.
now, Ivee kept her head bowed and avoided looking at Cwen for too long. why did the first Alpha she happened to meet had to be her Drappa?[/glow]

Cwen watched As Cal introduced himself with a polite and respective tone and she nodded to him gently before peering her grey gaze onto the form of Ivee. The youth seemed utterly terrified of her very presence and was avoiding her gaze as much as possible. Grunting to herself the Silver Drappa merely sneered and looked back to Cal as he asked his question, shrugging her shoulders before letting out a long, anguished yawn, shaking her thickening pelt before answering his query. “Sleep isn’t something I get a lot of these days. Worry and the need to patrol my borders keeps your poor Drappa awake and alert much more than she’d like,” she chuckled mindlessly, giving another fleeting look towards the timid grey varg, noticing now the large scar that ran from down her foreleg. Cocking an aud, Cwen shuffled herself round to see the young faemme and grinned cunningly. “Tell me Ivee, how did you manage to get such an impressive scar at such a youthful age? You don’t seem like the fighting type,” she sniggered relentlessly, eyeing the scar once more before waiting for an answer. Cwen was not the sort who would be subtle or avoid asking particular questions. If she wanted to know something straight up – she asked. If she wanted to be sly and conniving, then she took another approach.
((Sorry i took ages and it's such a shaudy post...but meh, this thread needs to get going))

[glow=navy,2,300]Ivee said nothing as Cwen continued the conversation that Cal had started. maybe if she got engrossed in talking to Cal, she could slip away unnoticed? or pretend she had someone to meet somewhere else. maybe she did have to go and meet someone else, maybe it was time she told Serg that she was part of the GeRad pack, before he found out from another source and decided to take out his famous anger on her? although if she told him herself she was just putting herself forward as a victim. she shuddered involuntarily, imaging all the blood Serg would spill, all her blood, and what it would show her. what she didnt want to see.
Ivee flinched as she heard Cwen say her name, then her heart began to hammer in her chest as she heard her Drappa's question. why? out of all the questions Cwen possibly could have asked, did she have to ask that one? Ivee desperately tried to master herself to cease the trembling that was threatening to overwhelm her and she gulped, trying to dislodge the nervous lump that seemed to have formed in her throat. she shifted her legs uncomfortably as Cwen looked at it. but found she couldnt stare at her drappa directly, she shifted ehr dark gaze to the floor. gulping nervously till she gathered the effort to say something, anything.
'yes, i did not get it in a fight. it was an accident.' Ivee murmured. for it had been an accident that she had found out about her curse. that was why she couldnt join a fighting pack, and why the prospect that GeRad could be dragged into a skirmish with the Balkar or Sarnes terrfied her to her very core. she could not look at blood, not without seeing the past of whomever the blood belonged to. the fact that she was so different sent a chill right through her very marrow. she did not ask for this. and she had tod the previous Drappa, Talla of her curse, but Cwen was something different. she could not tell her, what if she threw her out of geRad in disgust? then what protection would Ivee have against the savage kerls? would another pack accept her if GeRad wouldnt? Ivee quivered, and prayed to Tor and Fenris that Cwen would leave it at that, dismissing her for a nervous varg of no particular use.[/glow]
