(All Ge-rad members feel free to post)
It was sunset as Fenris was sinking lower and lower and soon Tor would come out to watch over all Putnar and Lera. Clouds of different colours streaked across the sky as the sky glowed a ruby red. Piercing yellow eyes glowed and a shadow moved quickly through the trees, and slowly patrolling the boundaries of Ge-rad. Cal lifted his nose eagerly and toke a quick sniff. Yes, he was in the right direction alright. He had been patrolling for some time now and he was now waiting for his Dragga and Drappa. The pale light reflected of his brown fur which seem to gleam as he moved through the trees. The brown varg was patrolling the packlands of Ge-rad for the first time.
This was unknown territory for the brown he-varg, he never set foot here before until recently. Staring at the landscape near the Ge-rad boundaries. Lately, the brown varg was thinking more and more of joining a pack and now he did. Cal now had successful joined the ranks of Ge-rad. He had re-united with his mate, Uskiya and a pack would offer many benefits for them. Safety and protection would be a large factor here, also supply of water and lera would suit them well. Neither of them have experienced pack life and it would be perfect for them both. Thinking of joining sooner but due to recent events delayed Cal till now. The trip to the Vale didn't go as planned, as an agruement had broken out between them and they had splitted up for some time. Next, Uskiya's brothers returned and continued to harass his mate, forcing her to flee that very night. Growling as this thought processed in brown varg's mind, and thinking if they would come back he would rip them to shreds to no mercy. Finally after a few weeks of pain, and hardship he found Uskiya unharmed and it's time to delay this task no longer. Cal went to the Ge-rad alphas and request to join their humble pack. He was sure with his skill in hunting and sharp eyesight he would be able to contribute to the pack. But, there was one thing that would stop him, and that was if the dragga would not allow Uskiya and him to have a litter. Of course kerl life wouldn't suit for having a family, and that was why Cal was here in the first place. Also, it would be nice to have other vargs look after his cubs if something did happen to him. But Ge-rad was the perfect choice for these two kerls and here they are. Thinking back to why he had choose Ge-rad in the first place, the brown he-varg continued his slow walk across the landscape.
First of all, he wasn't going to join the Balkar. Just thinking of them makes him see red. That pack was definitely not suited for him, knowing that he didn't like the Dragga there and he was never going to have a litter there. Next was Sarnes, the same reasons as the Balkar that pack wouldn't suit him either. Not only he didn't know any of the members, but for his own safety. Rumour has it that the most demented wolves make up that pack, and it just didn't seem to click for joining them. Koran or Deor maybe? Yes, they were both decent packs but again he had no ties with either of them. Deor might seem like the good choice, seeing that he had encountered a friend there before and he was on good terms with him. Even so, not knowing much about their Dragga and the one problem still remains "Can he have a litter there?" Only one pack remains now, and that was Ge-rad. Thinking again, joining Ge-rad was the perfect choice. He was on excellent terms and have been acquainted with most of it's members with the exception of one. Ge-rad is a hunting pack where it's skills are honed to perfection. Now, both of them were here and he hoped that he could contribute to this pack. Raise the dying numbers of this pack and hopefully start a family here.
Now getting impatient for waiting for Draeg. Cal let out a long and drawn howl alerting them and his pack members. Of course he had been acquianted with most of them but it would be nice to meet all the members of his pack. At first it surprised Cal when Draeg was his alpha, when he had bumped into his amber friend recently and knowing that was part of Deor. But news reached his ears that he had recently taken over these lands. Cal saw no problem in this at all, in fact it was probably better from him since they were both on good terms. The amber varg was also reasonable and Cal was sure that he would be allowed to start a family here with no hassle at all. Meeting Draeg's pups which were both friendly, they were also on good terms with the brown varg. Though one thing that he thought less of his alpha was that he had two mates. Still remembering the day where he found out about Cwen and Firefly, he thought that Draeg's heart wasn't true. It was split between two faemme and even though Cal didn't say anything about it, thought that it wasn't right. Growling and shaking these thoughts from his head, he should respect his Dragga. Now stopping his slow walk and looking about, hoping that another Ge-rad member would come up to him.

ooc- ive come to annoy you again. boy you must be getting sick of me. the young light brown pup lay with her head resting on her paws, and her blue eyes, dashed with a slice of amber, watched the glimmering sun as it set over the forest of Transylvania. she whimpered slowly. the sun didnt hold as much power as it had when she was younger. now the air was growing colder, the green was being leeched from the lands, which were becoming bare, colourless and the lera seemed to be lessening in their numbers. Shayla whined slightly. this was her first winter, and she wasnt too sure if she was too happy about it. although the beautiful sunsets and the hazy sunrises were beautiful, and the way her breath turned to mist in the chill fascinated her.
slowly she raised herself till she was standing and nosed about the ground nearby. now her parents were the Alphas of a proper pack. she sniffed lightly at that thought, at least now she got to meet alot more new vargs. wagging her tail slightly at the thought she smiled a small smile. they had moved from the woods where she and her brothers had been born, and now she was surrounded by new lands, new smells, new sights, sounds, and places to explore.
she sighed, although she loved new things, always looking for new things to do, something, anything, to get adrenaline pumping through her veins, now she was beginning to miss the old and familiar. only slightly though. these lands were strange to her. she would have to live here a while longer before she thought of calling these packlands her true home. although they were a beautiful place, and the vargs here were lovely. yes, a fine home for a young pup.
a howl rang out through the air and Shayla hardly paid any attention to it. alot of vargs had been howling at their borders, asking Tratto's Blessing. here was yet another varg asking for her parent's audience. yet, she paused and replayed the sougn in her head. it was so familiar somehow. Shay allowed a broad grin to overtake her features. Cal.
she yipped excitedly and sprang into a sprint. racing through the vegetation and picking the quicket path she could find. a small grey blur of fast-moving fur.
upon sighting the brown furred mann Shay yipped a welcome and dashed towards him. managing to skid to some form of halt, but misjudging the distance at which she needed to put her brakes on and ended up bumping into Cal's leg. she whimpered an apology then nuzzled the brown varg with her long bushy tail wagging furiously. 'Cal! Cal I'm so glad to see you again, what are you doing here?'ooc- i rushed it a little. 0_0 sorry.

Uskiya passed through the growing shadows, soon the darkness would conceal most of the land and the putnar would prowl. this was not so for the gray fae, as she found herself in the territory of her new pack. The word still seemed strange to her, though with every moment it became more plesant. Life seemed wonderful now, she could have a family, there would always be the warmth of another varg close by. There were still other vargs she had to meet but that would continue as time progressed. Uskiya let out a sigh and lifted her head to the sky ad sniffed the cold air. Her breathe came out in a light mist as the temperature was cooler than before. The colder weather was arriving and Uskiya's coat was filling out some, no longer did it look quite ravaged as it had before. Many things had changed now.
A howl caught her attention and she recognize it as Cal's, though she had seen him very recently she still wagged her tail at the thought of seeing him again. She paused before setting out to track him down. Something held her attention, the falling leaves as they landed one by one, side by side in patterns. She smiled happily and let out a laugh. The fae slipped through the shadows on her way to find her mate. As she passed the trees losing their leaves and the territory she had not yet seen Uskiya felt slightly lost, she could find her way easily enough but she felt small now, there was so much around her that she had never known before. She paused to sniff the wind and caught her mate's scent. She gave a quiet noise that only she could hear and loped forward.
Before long the fae paused and sniffd the air again, there was the scent of a nother varg along with Cal's, it was probably a nother pack mate's scent, the idea excited Uskiya and she trotted forward, slowing down as she came into view of the two vargs. Cal was there along with a smaller varg, one Uskiya had not seen before. As she approached Uskiya smiled warmly. "Hello Cal." She said, her voice soft, she turned to the other varg and dipped her head in greeting. "Hi, I'm Uskiya."

The day was coming to a close as the sun slowly made its way down to the horizon, soon it would disappear entirely taking its warm light with it over the rolling landscape and allowing night to sweep across Ge-Rad once again. With the days growing shorter and the weather becoming cooler with each passing day it was becoming painstakingly obvious that the season would soon be at a close, soon winter would be upon the varg and Ge-Rad would be covered in a thick layer of snow. Draeg lay quietly a top a thick stone slab that jutted out from beneath the ground watching his daughter stare out into the distance, sensing his daughters concern toward the oncoming winter the amber Dragga pinned his ears and gave out a sympathic whine, not quite knowing what to say. It would be Shayla’s first winter and she had become understandably worried about what the season would bring, Draeg had done his best to still her fears and assure her that there was nothing for her to worry about but he knew all too well the hardships the pack would face once the first snow arrived and the lera became scarce.
A familiar howl sounding out in the distance broke his train of thought and caused the Dragga to turn his attention away from his daughter and in the direction of the familiar sound, upon realizing that it was the Kerl Cal Draeg gave out a low growl and rested his head on his paws. Ever since finding out that he had taken Shayla to see Firefly without telling him the brown wolf hadn’t exactly Draeg favorite varg, he knew that he really shouldn’t blame call as his friend had had no real knowledge on the situation but he still felt that Cal should’ve brought Shayla straight to him so that he could have cleared up any confusion. As such Draeg was simply determined to let Cal wander the fringes of Ge-Rad until the brown wolf either left of his own free will or someone else drove him out of the pack’s boundaries, however it seemed that Shayla had other plans as she suddenly jumped to her feet and took off in the direction of the call yipping excitedly. Afraid something might happen to her if left unattended Draeg quickly rose to his feet and ran after his daughter, darting into the brush to avoid being seen by the gray furred pup or their guest. Draeg was surprised at how swiftly his daughter moved through the brush despite the fact that she was still rather unfamiliar with the land and the amber varg couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of pride overwhelm him as he noticed how much Shayla reminded him of Cwen.
It didn’t take long for Draeg to spot Cal though he couldn’t help but chuckle as he watched Shayla accidentally skid into one of the elder varg’s legs, however his mirth quickly vanished as he noticed another varg pad up beside his friend, a femme with gray fur. Unsure about the newcomer Draeg felt his hackles rise as he watched her from his spot within the brush, letting out a low growl as she approached his daughter. However upon seeing her dip her head politely he relaxed, knowing that she had come with Cal and posed no threat to Shayla. Adopting a more regal pose the fiery Dragga padded out of his hiding place and calmly made his way over to the trio, casting Cal a sharp look and motioning Shayla over to him as he did so. “We’ve been through this before, don’t run off again!” he growled, though it painstakingly obvious that he was making an effort to be angry with his daughter.
Turning his attention back toward Cal and Uskiya the alpha looked them both over carefully, he knew why they had come, there had been so many varg asking to join Ge-Rad that Draeg didn’t even have to guess what the pair wanted. “Welcome,” he growled in a no nonsense tone, as was his custom when meeting would-be recruits. “I am Draeg, father of the pup you see here and the current Dragga of this pack. I take it that you are here to join the ranks of Ge-Rad? Before I give my answer, tell me why you think you belong here and explain to me why I should even consider accepting either of you?” As he spoke the amber varg had directed his gaze directly upon Cal, knowing that the brown wolf would recognize the hidden message in his words.

(((I hope you all don't mind me posting- but i said I'd be very active, so i guess I'm going to stick to it all the way.)))
The glorious gaze of Fenris blazed through the skies above Transylvania; the earth was buzzing with life- numerous lera darted and scampered over Ge-Rad's forest floor; the flying sort of such wheeled and seared through the sky, free to do as they pleased without tyeing bonds to the earth. And then the great lera- the fighting lera or the what was called 'putnar'- stalked through the world, letting their power and strength ripple through the air like waves, crashing down on the nares and auds of the smaller animals and sending them running for cover. The most powerful of these- the Varg, or wolf- was known for tis beautiful song- from the first Dire wolf to the thirty or so species that roamed the world today. And the land of Transylvania was graced with several kinds of these Vargs- one of which trotted briskly through the undergrowth, her orbs a startling cyan.
Her build was smaller, slender, although her thick pelt added bulk. A deep cobalt pelt dusted from her thickly plumed tail to the top of her cranium; the beautiful, deep shade ended abruptly at her shoulders and hips- it transformed into a dazzling white, shining in the light of Fenris. Her muzzle, short, thin, and a crystalline white, was carried proudly in the way of the Varg. Her ears were round and small; trimmed in white they were varying shades of black and a ticked blue. almost like a roaning pattern that graced her silken bodice. The thicker fur around her neck rustled in the breeze that blew through the trees; the magnificent plants towered over the forest of Ge-Rad.
When the she-Varg had first arrived, the scents of other Vargs were few and in between; now, however, it was not hard to find another- the scents were always carried on the wind. And now, as her snout lifted high, nares flaring as she tasted the myriad of smells, she caught that of the femme Uskiya, and her mate Cal, as well as the current dragga, Draeg, whom she had met, along with cal, at the river when a particulary unlucky femme took a fall into the rushing rapids. This fae was naturally social and enjoyed meeting other Vargs, especially those of her own pack, and that she may end up treating if ill will was to befall them. Lydair's slender shoulders bobbed in an effort to keep up with the pace of her slender, yet muscular, legs; her lithe paws trotted gracefully, smoothly, over the loam of her packlands. Her head craned up as she gazed at the sun, azure orbs sparkling, and they flashed suddenly, brining out a strange gleam that never seemed to lie dormant for long. She darted through the single shadow that was brought by an amazing evergreen,a nd she suddenly stood before the three wolves. A smile graced her muzzle before it turned into a grin, and she dripped her head in a respectful greeting. "Good day to you all." She spoke, swining her maw from Varg to Varg. "I remmeber you, Uskiya, when we met with Cwen..." she tuned to face the amber dragg and the slightly smaller Cal, "And I know you both as well...I am pleased to get to see you all again in Ge-Rad's lands."

(Alright, I am assuming from Draeg's post that this goes before I officially join? Btw, you're not bothering me Shay, great to post with you again
As Cal continued to patrol the area, he looked at the autumn landscape. The sky was slowly darkening as the days got shorter and soon winter would come and a blanket of snow could cover the lands. Growing rather impatient now and wondering if anybody heard him, he slowed down his pace. His ears twitched as heard a noise behind him. Spinning around quickly and stared at the bushes rustling slightly, wondering on what it could be. He had almost forgotten that he was on Ge-rad territory and there would be little chances of intruders here. But if there were, he was ready, hackles raised. Suddenly a blur of something grey and small darted out of the trees. Taking a step back and staring as the slowed down slightly but not enough and the thing crashed into his legs. Staring down he realised that it was Shayla, daughter of the Draeg and Cwen. The last time he her was at the river side, when they both found out the truth about Draeg. Till this day he still felt a lot of sympathy for the pup for finding out that she had another aunt that way. Now chuckling he bent down to lick the pup once hearing her whimper a quick apology. Smiling since it was great to see a familiar face on new lands. "Shayla! How wonderful to see you again." said Cal as he returned the small nuzzle that she gave him. "Actually, I came here to join this pack, since I have thought of joining before and didn't get the chance to because of certain events. But I found out that your father was the Dragga here. So...any idea where he is right now?" asked Cal. By looking at the pup, she seemed to have accepted the fact that Firefly was Draeg's mate. Deciding not to bring up the topic, he putted on a smile and continued pawing at the pup energeticly (sp?).
The autumn breeze ruffled his coat, but also brought in a many scents. Lera, different trees, Draeg, but the most strongest one of all was his mate meaning she was nearby. Turning his head in different directions, and soon he saw something in the distance padding in their direction. Letting out a quick yip of excitement, as Uskiya padded over to the pair. Welcoming her with a shower of licks and nuzzles. "Uskiya, you're here..how have you been? I missed you so much.." Even though it was only for a few suns, it seemed like an eternity. Thinking back of what happened between them before, he had hoped to be at her side constantly. Continuing to put a big smile on his face, he stopped his assault for a moment to properly introduce these two. "Uskiya, this is Shayla. Daughter of the Dragga and Drappa here and a good friend that I met at the lake. Shayla, this is my mate, Uskiya. She's here to want to join this pack like me." It seemed like nothing can go wrong right now. The only thing now is to find his dear Dragga, and request to join this pack, like he did in the first place.
The reunion was going perfectly, wondering who else he knew he would find here. Cal knew that Shako was in this pack, but he was probably out somewhere. While walking with his two companions, he noticed another familiar scent lingering in the air, Draeg. Perhaps it was just him, because he owned these lands and it would make sense that his scent lingered here. But his questions were soon answered, as the amber Dragga came out of his hiding place. Turning around to face him, Cal's smiled at his friend but it soon faltered noticing the sharp glance he gave Cal. As he motioned Shayla to him and scolded her for running off. This merely confused the brown he-varg, Shayla was still on Ge-rad territory, so how was that considered "running off."
When Draeg was finished with his daughter he turned to face the pair of them. Amber optics made contact with Cal's yellow ones as he spoke. However, the welcome was quick formal and he acted as though he didn't even know Cal before. For some reason, the brown varg felt like that this wasn't his friend that he met at the river or the one that rescued him. "Yes, of course we are here to join Ge-rad." said Cal slowly feeling that he was merely stating the obvious. The next words that escaped the amber varg's maw made Cal understood everything.
Before I give my answer, tell me why you think you belong here and explain to me why I should even consider accepting either of you?”
These words were repeated over and over again in his head, and it all clicked. Draeg had blamed him for taking Shayla to see Firefly. Feeling the familiar sensation of fire burning the pit of his stomach and eyes ablaze once more. So it was his fault now? Yes, it was his fault. His fault for finding out the truth, his fault for being a good friend and looked after his daughter for him. Cal could have just left her to find Fly by herself and let Sarnes and Balkar have her for dinner the following night. A snarl almost came onto his maw until he realized that he owed his life to him. Remembering when he could have drowned, and Draeg risking it all when he had a family to save his life which was worth nothing. Tending his wounds in the meadow several suns later knowing that Cal could have had an infection and nearly died once more. Resolving his conflict that started in his childhood, and even encouraged and help him find Uskiya, his mate. To this point, he owed so much to this varg in front of him. Feeling of guilt and shame mixed with his anger came onto him. If he wasn't going to resolve their family problems, better not make it worse. Eyes that were losing it's flame still locked onto Draeg's amber ones. Very slowly, he dipped his head in respect and guilt. "Draeg...I know I have done wrong for bringing Shayla to see Firefly without notifying you, since she's your daughter." muttered Cal. "But you must understand, at that time we weren't sure if your answer would be the truth. We thought that you were untrustworthy. It was a silly mistake that I made...I am sorry..." Anger fading as stupidity filled it's place. "As for me wanting to join this pack, I am sure that it would be a great place for both of us to raise a family. Also, we have been wanting to join this pack for some time now. You must know because of recent events we couldn't, and seeing you as the Dragga makes it even a greater reason. I am sure that with my hunting skills I can contribute to the pack and hopefully be able to raise it's numbers in the future. I hope that you'll take time to consider and accept us into your ranks."
Feeling the tension and waiting for Draeg's answer. But if because the event with Shayla he wouldn't let him join, it would be a waste and he would hate the amber Dragga that stood before him. But then again Deor would always be another option. Feeling that they could be a bit more of a friendly pack. Something broke these whirlwind of thoughts as Lydair emerged from the shadows. "Hello Lydair, it's nice to see you once more." said Cal absent-mindedly. His whole attention now was focused on Draeg and wondering if he would have acceptance into the pack.

Uskiya laughed as Cal greeted her. "I am fine, it seems like it's been a while. You seem happy, which is good." She smiled and licked him back and then smiled to the pup Cal introduced as Shayla. "Nice to meet you." Uskiya said, another varg entered the area and introduced himself as the dragga. There was something going on between Cal and Draeg. Uskiya remembered that Cal had spoke of Draeg, but now something seemed different. As Draeg asked why the y wanted to join he had turned his attention to Cal. Uskiya noticed Lydair and smiled. "Hi Lydair." Uskiya said quietly. When Cal spoke of Firefly and Shayla, she couldn't understand what was going on. Uskiya felt herself shrink from the conversation, thoughts raced through her head, She looked back at the dragga, her golden orbs fell down and she focused on the ground. What could say, suddenly things weren't explainable, Cal was speaking of something that she had no knowlegde of, only that their reasons for joining was the same. " I want somewhere to call home, a family that I can be with. I have something in life that I can contribute, and I think this is where I will do it." Uskiya said , she wanted to be par of a pack, this was where she felt she belonged. She wanted to help take care of others when they needed it.]
Uskiya watched Cal, she wondered what this would take, would this be where their path led them? HEr gaze fell back upon Lydair, she tried to smile but at the present something kept her from it. Everything seemed strange for a moment, perhaps in the time Uskia and Cal had been seperated Cal had managed to gain another part of life. Could this be the otehr part?

Draeg watched as the realization of his words dawned on Cal, the brown wolfs eyes to come ablaze as he realized that the amber Dragga might bar him from joining the ranks of Ge-Rad because of all the grief he inadvertently caused him. He could see Cal’s entire body trembling with rage though after a moment his anger seemed to die down and he dipped his head respectfully to amber Dragga of Ge-Rad, Draeg merely stood there staring coldly at Cal as the he mutter out a quick apology for his actions. His eyes narrowed as he listened to Cal explain the reasons behind him taking Shayla to see Firefly, the knowledge that neither his daughter nor his friend didn’t seem to trust him to tell the truth angering him more than he already was. Draeg had never given Cal a reason to not to trust him and quite frankly he felt betrayed that the brown wolf would do something behind his back after everything he had done for him in the past moon, although it was true that Draeg had never told Cal the entire truth about Firefly and Cwen to be fair Cal had never asked. And in either case it was really none of his business to begin with. But to be fair Cal hadn’t known about Cwen or of the repercussions his actions might have had on Draeg, and he had taken it upon himself to watch over Shayla for him until she had found her way home. Amber eyes lay fixed on the mahogany colored wolf as Draeg thought long and hard about whether he should allow Cal or his mate to join the ranks of Ge-Rad. His attention shifted over to Uskiya upon hearing the gray she-varg speak, her eyes focused on the ground in a submissive manner as she listed her reasons for wanting to join. His mind made up Draeg spoke. “I see. Well in that case…” He began, padding over to the pair. “Let me be the first to welcome you to your new home.” Raising himself up to his full height and assuming a more dominant stance he cast Cal a stern look. “I will allow you both to join because I owe you a favor for taking care of Shayla for me after she ran off but know this, you and I are going to have a serious talk later about all of this. And as for being untrustworthy.” Draeg closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh, still slightly annoyed with the brown wolfs statement. “I have never given you a reason to not to trust me so I don’t know why you even felt the need to believe that I would lie to you, while it is true that I didn’t tell you the entire truth about my relationship with Firefly I never lied to you. She is my mate and I love her with all my heart regardless of what you or anyone else might think, I didn’t tell you about Cwen because you didn’t ask and frankly it really wasn’t any of your business to begin with. And besides, didn’t it seem a tad bit odd that you met Lycaon a few days after I said Firefly was expecting? Now after I take you to meet the rest of the pack your first assignment as part of Ge-Rad is for you to find a suitable den for Uskiya there to whelp her cubs, after you’re done with that I’ll have someone show you around. Remember that I want to see a lot of cubs from you two, Ge-Rad is still pretty small so we could do with the extra numbers and that means you two are going to have to provide for the pack for a time.” Draeg acknowledge Lydair’s presence with a respectful nod and quick flick of his tail, smiling warmly at the small wolf hybrid as thoughts of Firefly filled his head. “Lydair you remember Cal, he and Uskiya are Ge-Rad’s newest recruits. Would you mind showing them around the packlands later?"

Lydair's ears flicked and pinned against her head as Draeg and Cal began a calm argument, and for a terrifyign moment she believed her amber dragga was going to refuse them passage into Ge-Rad. But as Uskiya spoke respectfully to the dragga, she could see he had relaxed, even for his assertive, dominant pose, and was going to -nearly reluctantly, it seemed- allow them to join the ranks of Ge-Rad. The blue and white fae had begun to take timid steps back, but upon seeing a ghost of s msile flicker around Uskiya's muzzle she stopped and raised her maw in a silent greeting.
Draeg turned his attention to her suddenly and she froze, unaware and momentarily disoriented before she snapped back into senses. Dippign her head in respect for her dragga, her pearly white muzzle lowered and her ears curled forward in response to his voice. "Of course not- what better day to introduce them to Ge-Rad's beautiful scenery?" The day was bright, but not too warm, and the birds and lera were scampering boldly through the underbrush. Lydair stretched, long legs and claws pawing at the dirt before pulling herself back into her stance and arching her tail.

Shayla beamed up at Cal with her tail wagging frantically, if possible, this rapid movement increased as Cal mentioned his intentions of joining GeRad. she picked herself up from the floor and skipped about in a little circling yipping frantically. 'you're going to join!? thats brilliant! oh oh Uncle Cal this is the best news ever! now i'll have someone else i know here!' she squeaked in a high pitched voice, doing a strange and yittery i-cant-contain-my-excitement dance.
although her strange outburst calmed as a newcomer approached but Shay could not force her tail to cease form wagging. 'hi!' she yipped in reply to the faemme. 'im Shayla. glad you're going to join us too!' she giggled, right now in her hyperactive mind, she didnt even think of her father's permission. for how could Cal not be allowed into the pack?
as the sounf of her father's voice struck her she bent under the blow, mianly by surprise at his appearance, she sighed slightly and turned around to stare up at him. sometimes, strict parents were tiresome. the thought that they were just concerned about her never even crossed her mind. 'no ones going to get me in the packlands Dad.' she said, but gave her father an affectionate nuzzle anyhow before settling down at his paws. she frowned at his statement. why did Cal need to explain how worthy he was? Shay sighed anyhow, and decided for one to stay in quiet. to do what was expected of her for once.
she whimepred slightly then looked up at Draeg. was her need to go and find Firefly affecting Cal's chances of getting into the pack. she groudn her teeth slightly. she wouldnt let it. however she remained quiet, her tail wagged slightly as she heard Draeg accept Uskiya into their pack, Cal too; but the movement ceased as he said they would have a talk. Shayla frowned and she stood up and frowned up at her father. 'it was my idea to go and see Firefly. i needed answers Daddy, you know that. i needed to see with my own two eyes that she existed. dont blame Uncle Cal, he was just making sure i didnt get hurt, why is that such a problem? he was just looking out for me' Shayla let the fact that she had begun to call Cal her Uncle slip rather loosely, and had allowed a touch of hurt into her voice. she was just a young pup, and most youngsters believe that the world revolves solely around them. Shayla was no different. she saw all of this as her fault and was determined to set things right. she felt Cal had mostly been dragged into the affairs of her disfunctional and unique family, and why should he be in trouble for it? although she loved her father, right now she was going through that annoying streak of defiance.

Cal's yellow optics stared piercingly at the amber dragga. A suspenseful moment as he waited for his response. Barely noticing how this scene must have looked. Draeg and Shayla on one side, facing Cal and Uskiya. Lydair standing behind them as leaves continued to fall and silence pressed in on them. If it was even possible, Draeg had looked a bit more angrier during Cal's explaination saying that he was untrustworthy. Feeling that it could have been a mistake on his part for telling him that. But the brown varg knew that he must tell him the truth, no more concealing lies and misunderstandings. "Again Draeg, my fault." Apparently, the amber male was taking some time to make his decision. It seemed as though he was thinking of a polite way of rejecting him. After several moments of silence, Cal thought that he wouldn't be accepted. Turning around to Uskiya and thinking of never setting foot again on these lands, Draeg's response came. Ears perked up as he heard the magic words that will permit acceptance into the pack. A smile broke onto his maw and he managed to say a quick "thank you" before turning around and showered his mate with licks. Hearing the part about the "serious talk" confused Cal slightly. Right now he didn't need to know any more and he like Draeg said wasn't going to meddle anymore into their family business. Thinking that he should be having the little conversation with Cwen and his pups Cal remained silent, nodding along to words from his Dragga. However, it was Shayla who spoke afterwards. Explaining that it was her idea in the first place and willing to take all the blame. Cal stared at her and in his mind pleading her to shut up. "Enough...I think that your father is finished with this..." hissed Cal. He knew the pup was for the best, but it was best not to bring this topic up again. The brown he-varg knew that he must have had some responsibility to bring her back to Draeg when he found her, instead of playing along with their little journey to near Deor boundaries.
Turning to Lydair as Draeg addressed her, he made a slight nod to her. Having the knowledge of his own packlands would be nice. "Of course, I would love to have a tour of Ge-rad lands later." said Cal.
(Could have been waaaay better, but I gtg. Might edit it a little later)

Shayla seemed to break some tension with her hyperactive antics, Uskiya tried to keep from laughing, though a smile would soon envelope her maw soon. She forced herself to look elsewhere before the pup brought a fit of laughter on the gray fae. Uskiya waited as silence played upon the scene, it wasn't until Draeg spoke that her heart slowed down. Accepted? I can't believe it the fae thought smilling widly and looking to her new dragga. "Thank you." She said dipping her head in a courtious way and then pausing for a moment as the though of a whelping den came into her mind. How did he know? I am not showng it yet? she thought, glancing at her stomach. She turned to Cal and licked him back, she hadn't told him yet. She hadn't told anyone, but the gray fae was carrying life in her furred belly. It wasn't that long ago that she had found out, but with all the things that had been going on she couldn't find a chance to tell Cal. She felt silly and guilty for not telling him at the first sign. So it surprised her when her new Dragga mentioned a whelping den. She turned to Lydair, "I can't wait to see all of Ge-rad." Her tail wagged and suddenly she felt as if the whole world was staring into her furred belly, though not everyone knew. She turned back to Cal and smiled, her golden orbs shying from his yellow ones. "Cal, there is something I need to tell you. Something wonderful." She said, unsure if she should tell it to him here, but she would see what he thought. There was only the buisness of finding a whelping den and then Lydair could show them around. Uskiya wondered what at the moment was going through Cal's mind, had he picked up on Draeg speaking of a whelping den, had he suspected as well? Or was he unknown to the fact that she was carrying. Did Lydair or Shayla guess, had they any idea? The fae clamed herself and her eyes fell upon Cal's for a moment before they darted away and rested upon his muzzle.

Lydair's muzzle crinkled into a grin and her thick tail thumped against the ground. The hybrid's azure orbs glimmered; two more members had joined the ranks along beside her. Got off guard suddenly as Shayla exploded near her feet, Lydair jumped up, lithe white paws pulled into the air as she struggled fro balance on her awkward hind feet. Her grin only widened, however, and she dipped her maw to touch noses with the young cub. "Good day to, you also, Shayla." The blue-and-white femme chirped, tenor voice laced with happiness. "I am Lydair..."
Her ears flicked again as Cal spoke to her, and then Uskiya, but she did not mull over their words- she was still trying to identify Draeg's phrases in her mind. Whelping den? Uskiya was pregnant? the femme pinned her ears but trotted forward with a warm smile for the gray fae. "Congratulations, Uskiya...we'll have to talk sometime." She barked, long tail wagging again. The sun warmed her blue-black top features and the half-varg stretched in the sun before recoiling her long limbs. "I'll be more than happy to show you around later, Cal and Uskiya." Lydair hoped to become close friends with both Vargs, especially Uskiya.
Thinking back, Lydair's mind raced with excitement. Cubs? She felt a pang of sadness flit in he heart and her tail lowered; sorrow filled her heart. Sahm and Eclipse- they had died without ever really living. But that as the past; she needed to look to the future if she was going to survive and be bold in such a cunning and strong pack. Herbs began appealing in her mind for Uskiya, if she truly was pregnant; it was only her nature to do so...

Giving his daughter a stern look he issued out a low growl, displeased that she didn’t seem to grasp the concept of what he was trying to tell her. True they were still well within the boundaries of Ge-Rad but that didn’t mean that things were entirely safe for a young pup wandering around her own, it didn’t matter where they went there would always be danger especially for one as young and defenseless as Shayla. Ge-Rad was home to more than just the varg, other lera dwelt within its boundaries as well including various other putnar such as foxes and lynx. True, perhaps Draeg was being a tad bit overprotective but the amber wolf was not one for taking chances especially when his children were involved. “That is not the point Shayla!” he barked angrily. “There are other dangers here that you are apparently not aware of, dangers of more natural sense that one such as yourself should learn to fear and respect for the time being! Your mother and I keep a close watch on you for a reason!”
Shayla’s show of affection seemed to calm him down and his anger dissipated somewhat, he smiled as Shayla took her place at his feet and ran his tongue gently along the top of her head in a show of affection. In many way’s Shayla had much the same affect on Draeg that Cwen had, her resemblance to her mother was uncanny and Draeg knew that there would come a time when she would be able to pass as Cwen’s twin which would probably lead to a lot of teasing at his expense somewhere down the line. Still no matter what she did Shayla would be able to charm her way out of just about any trouble she might get into with her father provided it didn’t involve her bringing home any sort of potential suitors.
With a somewhat amused look on his face, Draeg watched as Cal dipped his head respectfully and uttered a quick word of gratitude before turning his attention over to his mate and showering her with a stream of affectionate licks. Though the amber furred Dragga was still angry with the brown varg for not trusting him and taking his daughter to go see Firefly, Draeg knew that Cal had meant well and ultimately had kept Shayla safe from harm until Draeg had been able to find her. However he was still quite serious about lecturing Cal on going behind his back to learn things that were really none of his business, if the brown wolf planned on living peacefully in Ge-Rad then he would have to learn that his Dragga would not tolerate such behavior from his subordinates. Regardless of who they were. It was bad enough that two of the remaining veteran’s from Brypaw’s reign didn’t seem to trust him, but Draeg had really never expected Cal, whom he himself had trusted with his son, Lycaon’s, life, to question his trust. Oh yes, they would talk and it would be a stern talk at that. Cal would have to prove himself worthy of Draeg’s trust, not the other way around. Shayla, who had up to this point remained silent throughout the whole discussion, suddenly stood up and spoke out in protest against her father’s declaration, apparently upset that he still planned to punish Cal for accompanying her on her journey to Deor. Draeg couldn’t help but pin his ears guiltily upon seeing how hard Shayla was reacting to his statement, however he quickly shook the feeling away and turned down to face his daughter. “Uncle Cal.” He began, a trace of sarcasm evident in his tone. “Is in trouble for the same reason you were when you first told me about your little trip and that is for going behind my back rather than coming to me for answers. Even if he did go with you to protect you I want you to remember how long you were gone from the den, Cal had an obligation to return you to then den rather taking you all the way to Deor for his own little benefit and worrying your mother and me half to death.” His features softened and the amber Dragga nuzzled his daughter reassuringly. “Don’t pout Shayla, he’ll still be around to play with you. He just needs to learn the rules if he’s going to live here with us.”
Catching Uskiya’s confused look the amber varg couldn’t help but let out an amused chuckle, he suspected that the gray femme might indeed be heavy with Cal’s pups but wasn’t entirely sure seeing as it was too early to tell. However from what Cal had told him about his mate during Uskiya’s absence Draeg had a sneaking suspicion that they had already mated so there was really no point in restricting them from having pups of their own, he had seen how badly Cal had wanted cubs of his own while watching him interact with both Lycaon and Shayla and knew that it would be wrong to deny either the brown varg or his mate of such a joyful experience. “After siring two litters you start knowing what to look for.” He chuckled, throwing her a quick wink. “Besides I’m the Dragga around here, it’s my job to know about this sort of thing. Especially amongst my own packmates.” With a polite nod he padded away from the pair but not before acknowledging Lydair with a quick flick of his tail and flashing her a warm smile, he was pleased that there seemed to be at least one varg that still trusted him and did as he asked without any real complaint. He made his way back over to Shayla, stopping directly in front of her and lowering himself down so that they were at eye level. “I have to leave now, there are other things I have to do. I would be more than happy to take you along so you can see what daddy does, but if you want you can go with Lydair and show Cal and Uskiya around the pack boundaries.” His gaze hardened momentarily. “Just make sure to be back before sundown if you do. Deal?”
