Maroon-hued mitts trailed across the soggy ground of Listern territory. A small rain shower had occurred earlier, and the droplets still clung to anything they caught a hold of despite the brilliant light of Zostar glisteneing through the dreary clouds. The heavy smell of budding flowers and whatnot filled the air, and it became clear that spring was here. Oh how wonderful. Now mates can be all lovey dovey and the land shall be fruitful with the sound of small cubs running about the lands.
At these thoughts, the bitch scoffed. Peh, oh how she loathed cubs. There was no maternal bone in this female's body, not dreadfully uncommon, but still, quite strange for a female to be unloving towards fragile offspring. Well, that's Alkiera for you.
Oh yes, the bitch was back. Back as in, back in Listern territory. She had returned to the lands altogether some time ago after taking a...vacation, but now she wanted to reaquaint herself with the only pack she could paticularly tolerate, not that they enjoyed her prescence or anything.
A large wolfish grin spread across the black female's maw, orange eyes pinpointing a familiar sight. Well well well, that dead pine tree that she had made her resting spot was still there, and still just as dead. The grizzly female limped over to said tree, pressing her nose against the rough bark. Ah, so her scent did wash off over time. Funny, considering she left a lasting impression in the minds of many.
She rubbed her face into the bark, as though to leave her scent in it once again. Oh yes, this female was looking for trouble. Orange eyes gazed about, and she opened her maw, the crackle of her icy voice filling the air.
"What? No welcome?"

"Wheres the party?"
Came the silhouette of a voice. From the shadows within the pine trails came a she wolf. Her tri hued pelt beginning to thin with the coming of the warmer weather, but bodice would show that winter was not kind to the wolf.
Emerald optics watched the silky black femme, recognition in sight and memory were far too great for this femme, even the blasted pine had deja vu written all over its splintered wood.
Gryffin grinned her eyes giving a blink as she watched the raveness. Her auburn tassel was flagged in an arch of dominance and was governed by a captivatingly royal posture, though a growl was not present upon the emissary's silky muzzle. Growl not, for was this Fae considered an intruder? Certainly not a stranger, though she could be labeled strange, though the fact of acquaintance oneself to such other canceled out this possibility.
Intruder perhaps, but would a guest be labeled such as well? Though of course none of this really mattered at the moment now did it? "Back so soon Alki? Didja miss me?" The tri hued she wolf grinned with a twitch of her banner.
Although she never knew the spitfire as well as Renn had, she also did not share the hate that had kindled in the introduction between the kerl and her mate. But her drappa had allowed the Redflame to stay until she recovered her strength and perhaps the drappa was too cocky to admit it, but it seemed for a while there that this blasted cripple was part of the mountain pack.
But the blasted cripple was no more and into the shadows she crept never to be seen again until this sun. And so Gryffin stood wondering what to do now.

Orange optics quickly flickered towards the source of the noise. A familiar form made its way into the sight of the she-Kerl, and a name followed the appearance. This was the Beta, Gryffin. Obviously Alkiera had no idea of the sudden advance in position to drappa of this female, so to her she was still the Beta.
A grin crossed the spitfire's maw, baring her yellowed teeth in something that was friendly rather than threatening. Not that the she-wolf was friendly or anything, it was just that the sense of nostalgia had hit her full on, and such a feeling was unknown.
"Perhaps, but I wouldn't say that exactly" Alkiera stated, her usual voice cracking with ice. As if she could help that, same with her stubborness with expressing her true feelings. "The question is, did you miss me? Lands could get pretty boring without me, huh?" Ah yes, that was Alkiera for you, always cocky like that.
But, though as stated she wouldn't admit to it, the she-varg missed Gryffin, and she especially missed these lands. And Renn, well, don't get her started on that. The lands were more of a home than even Dreogan was when she had the unfourtune of stupidly joining that idiot of a pack.
But of course, she did find out how much of a backstabbing bitch that cub, Sora, was during her short time there.
"How's the rest of the pack? Especially Renn...and that daughter of your's, Sora?" She lifted her cranium slightly, not in dominance, but in an almost omnipotent manner.
"She hasn't been getting into any trouble as of late, has she?"

[glow=purple,9,000]A soft breeze, and an elegant frame. Pitch black as night fall's grin plodded the near timeless beauty of the former Drappa of List. Her elongated loping movments were slower then normal, but still held the grace of a queen not yet dead. A flick of a sunshine gold auditory was given, before the figure changed course and moved towards the dead pine where Alkiera had first been encountered.
Ah, she remembered that day, and softly her mind wandered, reminising on that fateful evening during the winter, when the injured she-wolf had limped her way within List's borders looking for someplace to rest from the bitter cold. She was a stubborn one, that Fiory remembered quite easily, and the attitude the femme had shown almost put the fairly patient varg at an unease, though never the less the aging Listern nurse had allowed the femme clearence, so long as she left by the time spring had blossomed about. Such a while ago it seemed, as if ages had passed in mere moments of time.
The scents of both females wafted gently upon unfelt breezes, that keen nose inhaling deeply of both Gryffin and of Alkiera. Pine and oak trees syphoned through as well as a few huckleberry bushes, a hare's long departed dart hole and perhaps the sweet scent of a family of doves high in a sicamore's branches, but the more prominent ones, were that of her niece and of her guest.
"Ah, Alkiera, I thought that sounded like your howl on the wind...It's been quite a while, though you seemed to have changed little since our last meeting..." Her voice wasn't ragged, nor aging with dead vocal cords, but merely gentle and serene. She almost seemed to speak peacibly, airy and light if not deep with her own aging self. The ebony she-wolf stepped foreward, her head naturally high, though lowering immediately with the pressence of Gryffin. Her long neck gave a soft bow to her neice, those eyes of gold shimmering as brightly as the first day she was able to open them, all those moons ago before List and before she arrived in the Transylvanian wilderness.
"Good Day, My Drappa..." Four little words, that seemed to resonate through the other two's conversation. Four little words, that would perhaps show the stubborn bitch of Alkiera who was in charge now a days, and perhaps urge her to show a little more respect then she might have been. Sure Fiory had tolerated Alkiera's harsh tones and gruff growls, her sharp mannerisms and the wickedly sarcastic remarks she would make, but the nurse knew not of how tolerate Gryffin would prove to be towards the welcomed intruder.
"Please excuse my absense and intrusion of course..." And with that, the agile femme made to sit down, as if only to rest her tired limbs from their mid day stroll. Her fur was fairly damp with the ceasing spring rains, and those sickly markings of gray and white darkened against her ebony coat. Around her muzzle a soft gray lining could be seen, and although at first Fiory's form had seemed ageless as if she were three, once the female had remained quiet and was now at a closer distance, it was clear that time was slowly catching up to the mysteriously agile ebon femme. Her limbs seemed thinner, as well as her entire bodice. Though spring was upon them, and the hars***ies of winter had passed, Fiory had yet to regain her body's luster and so remained fairly thin, though thankfully not as terrible as she would have been throughout the long winter months. Some fat had come back at least, and that was more then most would hope for.
(Bleh, as usual...Sorry if I'm intruding guys, just thought I'd pop in and say hi..Sorry I've been gone so long..x.x' I blame school...and those danged finals...x.x''' ugh, College suxors...x.x'''')[/glow]
