Gryffin sniffed the air. Her heart feeling light and bright today. Her emerald eyes shimmered as she looked around her mountain home. Her paws stepped, line by line on the Listern terra. She looked around. This was her home. Up ahead she saw a ridge that overlooked the Listern dens. Her head cocked to the side and she loped over towards it. Her eyes wandered as she smiled. There she saw Fiory and nearby the golden Renn and silky Silent. Then there was a headstrong Drathlic and theebon Novex and by the far den was the quet fae Silthrim. Not far away was Sudak, her mate with the pups. She laughed, her tail swishing. Gryffin sighed. Her eyes then raised to the skies remembering her father, mother, lyft, bila and tamra. Breathing in the spring air she turned her head to see raven. Its wings beautiful and its feathers sleek and silky. Its flyign gorgeousand majestic. Gryffin howled and chased after it, the raven flying as she followed.
Gryffin laughed, her tail fanning out behind her as she chased after it. Her paws under her. She looked around List and cried with laughter. Feelign the air whipping her face. Gryffin dashed down the mountain side, her emerald eyes watchign as she hit the mountain meadows, full of white, pink, yellow and purple flowers. Her ran amuck them still chasing the flappign raven that circled above her. She jumped up fro mthe bed of flowers and tried to paw the raven as it squeaked. Gryffin laughed and landed with a thud in the messs of poppies, sending the petals flying about.
Gryffin got up and ran on, hurtling herself on. She growled as she ran faster her paws pounding the ground into a rhythmic song, liek that of a beatign drum. The chase brought her to the crimson lake. And there she ran through it, still chasing the raven. She splashed her paws wet and muddy as schools of tiny fish darted away.
The crimson varg ran faster now, racing wit hthe raven who seemed to be leading her somewhere. Gryffin leapt over a log and then into a grassland and right into a small herd of herla. Gryffin howled, to the deer as she ran between their stampeding flanks. She looked up to ones amber gaze and barked at it, making it rear before kicking back her heels and ran on paste the meadow. Gryffin ran on her tongue hanging out as she banked a steep encarpment and ran over towards the forest. She ducked a low hanging branch before sliding into mud that painted her legs. Gryffin growled as she stalked away. Slowing into a gallop she looekd around, her emerald eyes wide as she crept out of the shade and into the bright sun as she looked around the List dens. and only one word came to mind....

From her spot beside her father Aiyu let her gaze wander across the vast mountainside that made up the foundation of List. The weather was fair and the day was particularly warm though not overly so making it quite comfortable the lera that inhabited the mountainside, a pleasant change from the bitter cold of winter that Aiyu was used to. Her first winter had been a particularly hard one, having never experienced anything quite like it before it had quite frankly frightened the pup who had quickly learned the dire stakes the harsh season brought with it. The young pup had been terrified when she had learned that the herla had left the mountain to migrate to greener pastures, leaving a severe shortage of prey for all the putnar and bringing them to the point of starvation. However thankfully the prong headed lera had returned with the coming of spring, once again filling the land with an abundance of prey and thus sustaining the delicate balance of life upon the monumental landform.
As Aiyu’s gaze swept across the land made up her home she couldn’t help but noticed that things seemed more lively than usual, emerging from their separate dens the wolves of List ventured out to greet the day and socialize among themselves and share the recent events that had taken place in their lives with one another. Watching them all through emerald eyes Aiyu tried to recall a time when she had seen all of List together in the same general area. List was known throughout the packs for considering each of it’s members as family rather than just a gathering of friends or hierarchy, and while this was true Aiyu wasn’t used to seeing her entire pack clustered together in place. Often times the younger members of the pack would have already gone their separate ways by now and left each other to their own devices before reconvening later on in the evening and socializing with each other, usually the only Aiyu, her siblings, their aunt Fiory, and her parents the beta’s would be the only varg in List. Slightly unnerved by the sight of so many wolves gathered together in one place the young fae pressed herself closer against her father’s side, finding comfort in his presence.
Several moons had passed since she had taken her first tentative steps out into the world however despite this Aiyu still found it exceedingly difficult to wander too far from her place of origin without the company of either her parents or siblings to comfort her or offer reassurance. Though she expressed the same burning curiosity to go out and explore as her brother and sister so often did she lacked the adventurous nature that came with being a pup, and while the she was extremely playful she tended to be rather shy around other varg outside her immediate family making her rather timid even within the pack. As a result Aiyu often clung tightly to her family for security, preferring to be in their company as opposed to being alone and taking comfort in the deep sense of security she received when they were around. In many ways she resembled her father more than her mother, having inherited his snow white pelt though the fur around her back and sides had darkened and obtained an auburn hue earlier during the beginning of spring. Although she had grown along with her siblings and now stood around the size of a small dog she still retained her relatively lithe frame, having never grown quite the muscle capacity as either her elder brother or sister. Her once crystal blue eyes had gradually faded over the course of the winter and darkened until finally they were a brilliant emerald green like those of her mothers, whose genes had clearly contributed to the pups shimmering optics.
Her unease gradually dissipating she reluctantly pulled away from the white wolf’s soft fur and once again scanned her surroundings before finally allowing herself the chance to relax, so far things were peaceful and so long as her father was near Aiyu knew she was safe. She might as well enjoy the day without worry for a change. Letting out a squeaky little bark the young wolf moved away from Sudak and padded closer toward the small gathering, her tongue lolling out from her mouth and hanging limply at her maw. Sora always assured her that these wolves were also part of their family, perhaps someone would want to play with her. She stopped as the sounds of someone approaching her from the forest reached her ears, lifting her snout up and taking a moment to sniff the air she gave out an excited yip as she registered her mother’s scent. A moment later the tri-hued beta of List emerged from the within the dense cover of the forest, her legs wet with mud. Breaking out into a excited run Aiyu quickly made her way over to her mother, throwing herself upon the Listern emissary with a shrill howl and enthusiastically licking her chin.

The day was growing incredibly warm and the young varg of List was getting irritated. His lightly coloured pelt at least prevented his smaller body from over heating, yet it didn't stop it altogether. Grumbling in annoyance the young male trotted off towards the den that was in the side of the valley's bank, a cave if you will. He'd collapsed within the shadows at the entrance and sprawled his lanky frame out on the cooler stone. Panting heavily and closing his lids over his pale ember orbs, Arias began to sway slightly from side to side as sleep was taking over his mind. But suddenly a noise stirred him and his head jolted and lids flew open. The brightness hurt them and for a second he snarled and clenched them shut again, pawing at his muzzle in irritation. Though after a few moments his eyes opened again and he looked out to see his sister Aiyu, the usually quieter and more timid of the litter, howl and bark in an overly excited greeting of their mother as she emerged from the forest line, her legs and pelted splattered with wet mud. Arias' large auds perked up and he let out a bark, scrawny tail starting to wag slightly as he picked up his tired, lanky body and began to pad awkwardly towards her, passing by his father with a slightly nip on his nose and then loping the last few steps towards Gryffin.
Pushing past Aiyu and jumping up at the underside of Gryffin's muzzle, he nipped and tugged at her rather than likc affectionatly. Growling as he rubbed the side of his body against her mud strewn legs, Arias barked with excitment. "Take us to a mud hole mother! I want to get filthy too," he yipped, his fluffy beige and white hairs not starting to stick with the mud that he rubbed from his mother's legs and chest.
((Sorry it's a pitiful post. But seeing as everyone was waiting on me I figured I'd hop to it))

//RAAAARR!! Horrible post peops, sorry. And sorry I didn't wait for you Sudak, but I didn't know when you'd post. *throws self on ground* I am humbled.//
Sora was sprawled in the heap of fur that was herself, her father, and Aiyu. Before the sun had risen she had galloped wildly among her pack mates, managed to attain as much disrespect as she could, and hunted anything living. It had happened as suddenly as it always did; her burst of cub energy had spent itself in one instant. She had crawled pitifully near the mouth of the dens and lied in an aching ball until sympathetic father and Aiyu had curled up next to her. Sora couldn’t even be aroused by the mad onslaught of bird song or the elating, fresh mountain air. She had passed out, dead to the world. Now for the first time in her very short life she was the last to be awake.
She erupted from her father’s side and saw the bird swooping low beneath among the branches of the trees. Her mother’s eyes were shining jovially and her littermates were greeting her energetically. In a split moment Sora dashed after the raven yipping at the top of her lungs. “DIE, DIE BIRD!! RAAAAA!!!” Limbs flailing as she stumbled beneath the towering conifers, her neck craned forward as each step nearly threw her to the ground. About fifty yards away she skidded around and pounded back to her family as if trying to make up for burnt daylight. With a roar she hurtled herself at her mother, Arias, and Aiyu…

// alrighty guys i'm heading on vacation tommorow morning so this post will be my last for about a week.. don't worry i'll be back //
Sudak had remained relatively alert to the happenings in his surroundings. The birds and other Lera were busy bustling about their way through the forests that made up the Listern lands. Also the energetic pups of himself and his beloved tri-hued mate, Gryffin. He saw his love emerge upon the hilltop overlooking the dens, her body silouheted against the glistening sky, her pelt blowing effortlessly in the wind. Sudak began to let out a sigh before a sudden jolt struck him in the abdomen. With a "umph" Sudak was brought back to reality as his daughter, Sora, had jumped from his side to chase the form of a flying Putnar. She had always been the fiesty one of the litter and he could see big dreams coming her way. That is if her parents could protect her through these challenging times in her life. With her older brother fighting her what seemed equally for dominance in the pack, the outcome was still unclear and probably would be for some time. Aiyu still was on the skittish side however she seemed to be emerging from her shell a little more as of late. So many opportunities had yet to reveal themselves to the young cubs and that was perfectly fine with Sudak. The longer they took the longer he could be with his children. He wasn't looking forward to them growing up and dealing with life. He promised himself they would not have the life that he had to endure. With his very troublesome puppihood and his lack of parental guidance he was very lucky to have even survived much less have been accepted into a pack and found his destined mate.
Family indeed he held before him in his paws. The future is indeed uncertain and that's what troubled Sudak the most. The lack of certainty in the protection of his family. It scared him... but he'd be ready for anything. Even if it meant sacrificing his life. Nothing would happen to them.... nothing
//blah it was ok I guess for not posting for a while. Alrighty guys see ya in a week I hope, get a posting //

Gryffin stood her neck craned into the wind, her fluffy tassel giving a swift swish as she gave a playful bark. Her emerald orbs pinned on the forms of the charging pups. Gryffin howled playfully and began to charge forward but stopped as the first pup reached her side. It was Aiyu the timid puppy who had reached her first. Gryffin lowered her muzzle and gave a loving whine that encouraged the young pup. She gave a soft grunt and licked the pup back on the cheek before she looked up to see anothed pup. Gryffin grinned and howled.
Gryffin laughed and brought her muzzle down on Arias, her jaws gentle as she wrapped her canines around the puppy's neck fur and nibbling gently as she shook it a few tiems in a playful tug. Gryffin raised an eyebrow and lifting a paw she diliberatly smudged the youth muzzle with her paw and covered its top with brown mud. "And who's goign to wash you after hmm Arias?" she asked smartly before giving his muddied muzzle a lick. "Perhaps later, though i suggest you ask your father first" she grinned. Sudak was the more protective parent of the two, he could not deny that.
Gryffin looked up finally to seee her headstrong daughter Sora. Her paws flapping in the wind as she chased the black winged bird. Gryffin barked, her tail gave a playful wag before she dipped her front into a play bow. Her emerald orbs watched the raven zoom on by and after it was Sora yelling after it. Gryffin waited watchign the pup dissappear for a second before zooming back. Gryffin laughed and howled a welcoem song for the fiesty she pup. But Gryffin's eyes grew wide. Sora wasn't planning on stopping. "Soraa!" she cried as the pup tackled into her with her full force. Sending Gryffin onto the forest floor. Her tail wagged as she laughed. She growled playfully at the she pup and took her by the scruff and shook her a bit before lifting her off the ground and putting her on the muddier parts of the listern floor.
