Growling happily, the Aolesent then offered Dreag it. For he was a visitor and was a higher rank than herself. She quietly slipped the words to Fiory "Thankyou m'lady Fiory, It is real kind of you to let me have this prize" She then snook the mouse back and snook off toward some rocks nearby, she quickly devoured the Lera and slunk back without a word. Bowing again to those of a higher rank.
Silver paws slid slightly and she fell forward, but regained her stance and yipped loudly and happily. Her long silver banner swung from side to side as she acknowledged new Vargs appearing from all sides. Golden hued gaze gazed at all of the args before her, being sure not to make eye contact with any. (Muse dissapeared)

Why thank you kindly Fiory, didnt think i was welcome here. Short post this is, straight to the point. [glow=black,2,300]
The second smirked slightly, his claws dragging along the torn up gravel that laid hidden beneath blankets of snow drift. Not that the fact that he had met the Dragga of Ge-Rad in such an embarrasing situation, he was given, such a, cold reception by an allied drappa. Even after the last wishes of Leoh had brought the packs back to allies. He had almost expected more from the faemme. Though no more could have been expected from him. Had it not been for Leoh, Draeg could have this pack for all he cared. Though in the end, it would have been Draeg to blame, when the last List varg fell in the Balkan territories, due to his selffishness.
" An unpleasant surprise it is. Even for me. " Ziev shot a glance towards the Ge-Rad Dragga. " Much do you owe. An explaination for one. " The second snarled at the faemme. He turned his head to the faemme, his bold onyx-crimson form stood between the two wolf. "You wouldn't be turning on Leoh's death wish now would you?" His cold saphire eyes fell to the eyes of Fiory, annoyed with her friendlyness to such a creature.
A small cub was wrestling about with a tiny dead creature between its half developed maw. Its playfulness and carelessness aggrivated the Second. He hated pups. Useless creatures they where. He believed that his generation should have been the last to live. He shot a glare towards Leoh's daughter. She hid something. Ziev kept a stare, to find three newborns. Fresh, and crawling about. His claws clenched the snow beneath him, a deep snarl followed, great mists from his maw fell into nothing. He brought his glare towards the first pup again, who knelt before the higher ranked. The ivory split his onyx maw, and he leaned forward, lifting his forepaw inward, generating the power to swipe the meaningless pup out of the picture. Though he restrained, visually hesistating. His placed his paw down. "Your pack is thriving with youth Fiory." His voice sounded finally, a gentle voice it was, ignoring Fiory's hostility. "This cub is young, and those of Leoh's daughter are newly born. Your older members seemed starved. Have you no sense?" Ziev began to push the points across the Fiory, dispite the presence of the Ge-Rad dragga. "Join this selffish creature in battle, and all that you have here, will perrish. Your beloved dragga, Bristol, these useless cubs, Leoh's last surviving daughter, and yourself. For what? For causes beyond sense of your own?" Ziev snarled.
"He cares not of your lives. He wants the power of Koran and List under his name, regardless of the youth, regardless of the life. His pack is thriving, needing more food to feed his own, taking from what little you already have. I have seen his motives, my Nihtgenge have seen his intentions. It is only your decision to send the fate of List with this pack," Ziev said in a lowered tone towards the faemme. He did not care on the final decision of the Drappa, it only meant, that Leoh's last wish would turn to nothing, and his last daughter, and family will fall to the hands of the Balkar. After this, there would be no limits to the wrath of the Night Hunters. Leohlic or not, List would be no more. " And if you choose to do so, We balkar promise no more towards our friendship with you. That is my word. My word only, regardless of Serg, the Wenthran will ensure this to you. " Ziev turned from the faemme. List was no importance to him, though List was of importance to Draeg, and he had hoped to change that. The selfish wolf would be left to fend for his own pack. Settle his own damn disputes. Like a real dragga, though as he had heard, no real dragga he was. "Choose against the will of Draeg, and choose to close your borders with hostility to all wolf, Fiory."
Or choose to betray the words of Leoh, and I, myself will have your filthy throat spilled into streams for the ravens, and remove of the worthless wolf of the mountains, so that no varg control the snowy realm of such a former great First. He snarled, the words were spoken this time amongst his head. He smirked slightly. Naughty, Naughty. Naughty Fun. [/glow]

Ooc: Draeg, what the hell! What should happen to your alliance with List should I say 'NO THEY CAN'T USE MY HUNTING GROUNDS'? People are idle enough as it is and I don't need a bunch of Listern taking over my lands - I wouldn't even be in control of those who came to Deor; their alphas would. -growl- Next time try TALKING WITH ME BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO OFFER TERRITORY THAT ISN'T YOURS, AYE?! (Personally I would be glad to share but what would Deor get in turn, eh? eh?!! Power-hungry, I tell you!)

[glow=red,2,300]((OK - A load of OOC posts here, but I'll delete this once I know people have read it. If you two break this allie between the two packs, one which I created...then I swear. There isn't much I can do as Leohlic, but as Arias, well I can always make him grow up and kill his great gandma if she continues to disrespect the Balkar because she doesn't like there ways. And that I will promise! Why rule over List if you don't like them!? And I know Ziev and Serg's terms on the matter...))[/glow]

“Three, that’s terrific news Gryff! Firefly will be thrilled.” Draeg barked as Gryffin proudly revealed the fruits of her labor, chuckling as she held herself proudly beside her mate. Padding over to the pair he nuzzled the tri-hued femme fondly before giving her mate a congratulatory nudge and nipping at his ears playfully. “Welcome to world of parenthood you two!” Returning to his original post the amber Dragga finally went about with what he came to do, offering his terms of true and carefully studying his friends reactions to what he had to offer them and their pack. Upon mention of Serg he did his best to keep his features neutral though he couldn’t help but curl his lip into a slight snarl, letting out a deep growl as he recalled how he had not only lost four pups but Huts as well because of the First intervention during Cwen’s first labor. “That is good to know.” He growled, his voice barely a whisper. Then turning his amber gaze back over to the small group again. “Be wary of him, you know how I feel about the Leohlic and the Balkar but that one is far worse than any of them I have had the pleasure of meeting. He’s evil Gryff.”
New of Leohlic’s death came as a bit of a shock to Draeg though in truth he really wasn’t all that surprised that it had happened, the last, and only, time Draeg had seen the former first he had been rather wounded and infection had already begun to set in. Having once been a healer himself the amber varg knew that it must’ve taken weeks, possibly even moons, for the infection to wear Leohlic’s immune system down until he finally succumb to his injuries, though Draeg held no love for the former first he knew how painful his death must have been for Gryffin who had loved her father terribly. “I didn’t know.” He growled sincerely, dipping his head respectfully. “I’m sorry for your loss, truly I am.”
Gryffin seemed taken aback by the thought that Deor might actually be willing to share their hunting ground with a rival pack, in truth Draeg knew that it was a little beyond him to make such promises with another varg’s territory though he was confident that if it came down to it that Chalos might actually choose to cooperate if it meant that List would remain neutral throughout the war. Of course this was provided that they even became involved in the war, so far it seemed that the only packs that would be drawn into the violence would be Ge-Rad, Sarnes, Deor, and the Balkar. At this point Koran was being held in reserve in the event that Serg used an unfair advantage that would tip the scale but for the most part the pack would remain neutral for the time being, it was entirely possible that Serg had decided to do the same thing with List so there was a good chance that neither pack would be brought into the bloodshed so long as neither was called to assist their sponsors. “I think that it is possible, true that Deor has grown in number since I left but they are roughly the same size as List. I’m sure that an agreement could be reached if it came down to it though to be honest I’m really in no position to make promises with another packs prey.” He sighed, hanging his head slightly. “Chalos is a good varg and a merciful Dragga so I’m sure that he would be sympathic with your plight though I’m beginning to think that I might be getting ahead of myself, ultimately the decision would be up to him and him alone.”
Gryffin spoke and Draeg listen in silence, nodding his head understandingly as she explained that the decision was not hers to make but ultimately to those above her. He understood her loyalty to her pack and her heritage and he respected her for it, sharing her sadness in the knowledge that they might soon be pitted against each other on the battlefield. Another voice sounded out from within the frozen gloom and Draeg turned head to find himself staring up at the familiar form of the pack’s Drappa, the lovely Fiory whom Draeg had met only once before though on somewhat more tense terms. Draeg couldn’t help but whine sympathically as he set eyes on the stargazing Drappa’s withering form, bones clearly visible beneath her rapidly thinning pelt though particularly along her ribs and spine. He had honestly thought that List hadn’t been in such a state but it seemed that prey was scarcer than he had originally thought, looking back at Gryffin he quickly realized that the only reason she didn’t appear as thin and malnourished as her Drappa was because the pack had probably been pooling their resources to feed her so that she could tend to her pups. Draeg shuddered despite himself as he realized that it was quite possible that soon Ge-Rad would be at such a state, with so many varg to feed there was hardly enough lera to support the pack especially now that both Lydair and Cwen had recently sired another litter. Fiory spoke, speaking of how although she detested her ties with the Balkar that List would remained allied with the Night Hunters in honor of Leohlic’s last request to keep the alliance between the packs strong. “There is no need to apology Fiory, I understand.” He growled, nodding his head slightly. “I really didn’t expect to accomplish anything this day though I must admit I think I learned a great deal from this visit, honestly I really just came to see whether the pups had been born or not so I could see them.” He admitted sheepishly, rolling his shoulders into a shrug and flicking his tail nonchalantly. “Though I can’t exactly grant you permission to hunt on Deor without Chalos permission I can advise you to hunt outside of you pack’s boundaries if you are becoming hard pressed for food, I myself was considering making a stop by my old territory to see if I could find a quick meal for my pack. I think you know the place Gryff.”
His ears perked to the sounds of a menacing snarl and Draeg turned to find himself facing the unfamiliar form of rather impressive looking dragga with jet black fur and piercing blue eyes, which seemed to shimmer with spite and contempt for the amber varg. Sensing the hostility in the newcomers tone Draeg felt his hackles rise and he let out a deep growl but remained passive for the most part, knowing that he was still within List boundaries and that he would not be look kindly upon for participating in an argument or starting a fight with one of packs members. However Fiory intervened before he could say anything, speaking in her normal regal tone though her words were dripping with venom as if to show obvious dislike for the newcomer whom she addressed as Ziev. “Trust me the feeling is mutual.” He scoffed, his eyes narrowing on the snarling Second. The amber varg remained silent as he watched Fiory attend to Ziev, the tension mounting as both varg evident dislike for each other became clearer with each passing second. His lip twitched upon hearing Ziev’s threat and Draeg had to force retrain himself to keep from lunging at the dark dragga throat, knowing that the Second would keep good on his promise if things did not go his way the amber varg decided to intervene. “That’s enough, you know as well as I do that I wasn’t asking for an alliance between List and Ge-Rad. I know that they would never be convinced to turn against the Balkar especially after Leohlic asked them to remain allied with you, and I would never try to make them do anything that goes against their principles.” He barked savagely, taking a step forward. “In either case they haven’t agreed to anything so they haven’t done anything to be deserving of your threats!”
((I have said many times over now that I was just doing this for the fun of it and that nothing was to be accomplished, this is just a thread for fun (supposed to be anyway). No ties are to be broken or formed, no offers are to be taken, the war is envitable, when I started this thread I was under the impression that all the packs were going to be at war with each other as that was the impression I was given, had I known that List and Koran were going to excluded unless asked than I would have probably have changed a few things here so that the war wasn't even mentioned, Chalos I'm sorry if I peeved you off (again), I would have had this post up yesterday to explain things in a little more detail but my computer time ran out. Seeing as I have a few messages in my IM box no doubt a few of you have PM'd me to chew me out so I'd better go check them now. Again sorry for the confusion and whatnot.))

[glow=purple,2,3,00]((Wow ok woah for a moment here...Leoh, I never said I didn't like List...List is much different then the Balkar....Sure it was brought into this world by a former first and his mate (because curse me if you want to, I forget Shatocwnn's official title *prays to Tor for mercy* x.x') Fiory's got a problem with the Balkar's brutality that's all....Now...before my head is chewed off any further, I'm going to post....-.-' though before I do, I'm gonna say this...I can make Fiory not wish to show respect like other varg would towards the Balkar, but I'm still Allies with them. I still let them onto List lands...I don't have them driven away or anything of the sort....That's respect for them right there thanks....She has respect for the balkar, she just doesn't like showing it...*growls*)) Fiory held her ground towards that onyx mann, golden eyes looking straight through him with that inner fire she always carried when addressing a Balkar of any rank or stature. At Ziev's first of many accusations, a light laugh, almost like she had spat it out escaped her raven black maw. "I have not broken the great Leoh's promise, and I do not intend to. Obviously, if such a thing was broken, Dear Second, I would not have graciously allowed you into the Lands of List..." It was the truth, she had not given Draeg the promise that she would ally List with Deor, but just remain neutral until the Balkar decided to call upon List as their own help. She did not say she would help Draeg, in any other way. Though as Silent moved quickly by and Niev's comments continued the ebony femmora could not help but let those gold splashed auditories flick oh so delicatly backward. Niev was lucky that Fiory had a cool head on her shoulders, and wasn't one to quickly snap or lash out when angered. That, and the pitch black female wouldn't dream of starting a fight in front of cubs. A single comment of Ziev's actually made that smile spread and a chortle escaped her maw while that agile cranium shook back and forth in disbelief. "And you care for our lives Ziev? More then this, 'worthless creature' as you so implied in your several statements to me? All I can reply to that is, Since When?" Her words, though poisonous, were full of her own laughter. Never in her life, had she thought she would see the day when a Balkar, let alone the great and presitigious Second, would care for another not of his own bloodline, let alone an entire pack. Fiory could probably die happy now...not like she was ready to of course. "Ziev, put your busy little head at ease. List are still allies with the Balkar, and I do not intend on breaking Leohlic's last wish...I would die first before such a thing, though I'm sure you would be happy to grant such a wish for me, it will not be today, Dear Second. Though, a word of advice, it would be wise not to threaten cubs or my mate Ziev, I don't take kindly to it." The last sentence of her statement ended in a bit of a snap, though it was hardly seen in the gracious attitude Fiory exposed so brilliantly. Though she was young, and she was emaciated with winter, she still was able to hold herself up to the Balkarian Second, without so much as a flinch nor fleck of fear or doubt in her voice nor her held stance. There was silence for a moment, before she spoke again. "If there is, anything else I can do for you Ziev? " It was, nothing more, then a question, if not a challenge for him to try and step her down again, as he had tried to do previously. ((And Ziev, of course you are welcome to post here. Of course you are.))[/glow]

((I miss coming on for one day and the thread runs away! Oh well, I'll have to be more careful...))
"I know your son well, Draeg,!" Renn growled, her voice low as she explained to the Dragga how she knew his name. "And news of such a scandal as two Mates travels fast." The last bit was spite, her real reasons for showing such disrespect to the amber Dragga was how he betrayed his families, more so Kop, the grizzled Varg who she felt so close to after his feelings for her were revealed as a crush.
Her attention focused souly on the intrusion of Draeg, Renn did not notice her good friend's arrival until she felt a gentle flick on her shoulder. Nodding to Gryffin, Renn took a step back, deliberately relaxing her hackles. However, Renn kept her glittering green orbs fixed on Draeg, hostility burning in them as she looked his form up and down. Silent's appearance did not go unnoticed by the golden faemme, but she ignored Silent's pathetic question, her jealousy sealing her lips. Turning her head to look at what the silver she-varg had brought, Renn's jealousy deepened, for her hunting attempts haad often failed. When it came to becoming an adult, Renn felt that a Warrioress was better for her than a Huntress, as her mock-fight with Novex on her first day had gone Okay, though her general anatomy was similar to that of Gryffin, the Beta and Lead Emisseray of List, so maybe an Emissary as right.
The familiar scent of her Drappa flooded Renn's nostrils and she bowed to the ebony Fiory, glad to see the Varg who had accepted her again. Renn heard the agreement to remain neutral and she was happy, for the golden shades faemme had no wish to fight Kop. Though she wouldn't mind sticking her claws in Cwen, for on their meeting, Cwen had been as cruel as Fiory was kind, calling the faemme 'runt' and threatening to chase her out, delieberately embarrassing Kop infront of Renn in an attempt to put her off the grizzled Ge-Rad Varg.
An alien scent was streaming through the air, the tendrils of it tickling Renn's senses as she tried to locate the Varg who emitted this aroma. The muscled body of a Dragga padded through the vegetatian, and for a few moments, Renn thought it was her Dragga, Bristol, but seeing the mean streak in the new Varg's golden disks and listening to the way he threatened Fiory and Draeg, a sneer on his muzzle, Renn realised that she had mistook this Varg. It was only after the mention of Serg did Renn pinpoint the scent as Balkan, a scent that was strong at the borders. This Varg was apparently called Ziev and his threats to List were also to Gryffin's cubs.
Moving closer to the tri-hued Beta, Renn reached up and mumbled a few words of comfort about the threatening of the newborns. "If Ziev wants t attack your cubs he'll have to go through me first. I won't let the Balkar hurt Sora and the rest." It occured to Renn that she did not yet know the names of the cubs, but had merely picked out the name that Gryffin had mentioned to the golden shades faemme after an arguement with Drathlic.

//Nice Call Chalos. And Draeg. Brown pelt and yellow eyes? I have a black pelt and blue eyes. A clearfication: Its not intentiont to break off the allied packs. But its just enforcing it. Had Ge-rad became allies (which would not have happened) much of this wouldnt have made sense. \\ [glow=black,2,900]
The ivory split his black maw in half, the back of his paw tagging in the snow, as the Second shifted his weight, his cold glare falling between the two opposing Alphas. Although, finally, one had gathered the nerve to speak, with much intention to insult. Ziev was surprised. Such a weak comment it was. He had expected more wise words from the Dragga of Ge-Rad, and from what he had heard, this was suppose to be a respectable varg. Respectable? To what extent?
"A best intrest should not have changed whether you've chosen to make this trip or not. Your business is elsewhere, Draeg, perhaps to the attention of your two mates, of whom your care ever so dearly..." Ziev smirked, though his auds felt an infernal heat, although he kept the harboured rage at his forepaws. " Well then, If you had such an impression of the Balkan Lands, perhaps you'd like to accompany me in my return? Maybe then, you make prove me guilty of musing with vegitation, or may we prove you, that this is really not a matter of toying with? A bloody mistake it was of me, to think of your as a respectable wolf."
Ziev smirked slightly, he had not been getting the co-operation, that he had expected, and he was much prepared to do with out. List or no List then, it would only be Leohlic's loss, and the memories returned, of why he dreaded the mountainous pack. As for Ge-Rad. He was definately patient. And far further that patience would stretch, for soon, the sour flesh of Ge-Rad would come to him, and only a walk in the park would it be to disassemble an entire pack, in the dreaded, deceased grounds of the Balkar. The shame would be one such a Dragga, for mistreating such young siklas., and sending them to kiss Wolfbane on the cheek.
"Why, Fiory, Care for your lives? More or less, it would only be my last respects to a wolf who had once taught me so much. Though, now that he's dead, You seem to think that your leash is cut loose. Never have I fancied this pack for more than the former Dragga. That has never changed, Fiory. And, You seem to think the same of us? Now I ask, why bother? Leohlic, and his daughter aside, frankly, there isn't much stopping you is there?" Zerov smiled slyly. He brought his form a step back, openly welcoming Fiory challenge him. Though, he expected the faemme to be a little more mature, unlike the useless pups.
"Threaten your cubs? Why, such worthless creatures they are. If you wish, explain to me what they are good for, and I shall reconsider." The Second snarled. "Save your breath."He reconsidered himself, regardless of what the faemme did say, It was good humour to watch their mothers cry from watching the little ones sprint into the misted lands of the balkars without a fear and never return. Time and time again had that happened.
"And your mate? Well, no disrespect, but he doesn't seem to be much of assistance to you at the moment, He is not near. Would a good mate leave a faemme to fend for her own?" Ziev released a sarcastic smile from his maw.
"Yes, last thing. Leaving all I have said aside, now," Ziev shifted his weight to face the two Alphas once more. It was to his intrest that he did not spend the next moon returning useless talk to Fiory. This grew boring, and far off the point, that the Second had ventured here to make. "If theres is nothing more to offer between yourself and Draeg, I'd kindly ask of you to ask for him to discard himself from the List territories. After this, I shall leave your pack to peace. Yes? For there seems to be nothing left to discuss. " Ziev lifted his forepaw and brought it back to the cold floor, waited for the lasts of the discussion.

[glow=purple,2,3,00]Though she did not show it, Fiory was close to her breaking point. More insults towards cubs and her mate Bristol? Was that all this devil worshipper wanted to do? With her gold splashed auditories straight backward, she held her chin high meeting Ziev's blue eyes squarely. Fiory had been able to stare down a varg of any rank square in the eyes since she was little. She had had no fear of doing it and before her mother and father became deceased in man's fire they had encouraged such an action. For a moment, those golden eyes flashed irritably, but that was all the clue Ziev would recieve about her inner feelings.
She watched him take a step back, egging her on, almost begging for her to retaliate to his sly remarks. Fiory had caught his bait, she knew what he wanted from her, other then her own death. Humiliation would not be made upon her, at least not today. She listened in a solemn manner, silent until he finished. Slowly she took a breath and those ears flicked forward, a spark igniting in those golden hues before she began again.
"Well Ziev, I am touched but I am more surprised then anything that a Balkar of such presitige cares for something else other then his own pelt. That has, after all, been the Balkar's pressence over the years and their implination as to other life of course. Now, as for cubs surely even an evil thing like yourself was a cub once...Did you think you just popped from your mother's womb as an adult? If that is the case, then I pity your mother, for it must have been excruciatingly painful." This statement, of course was not ment to be an insult, but a mere statement. She had been a mother, she knew that pain of birth, and even as small as her cubs had been when born, the pain of it she wouldn't rightly forget. Though she quieted herself again before speaking onward, choosing her words carefully as to not confuse nor add to temper's around.
"I do not see myself 'off leash' as you so put it. In fact, I keep my promise to Leohlic for the soul reason that I felt honored to be in his pressence every time I saw him when he ran List, alongside Shatocwnn. I continued to feel honored to be directed at by him, and I continue to feel unworthy of even running List after his great name. It is Leohlic's Memory, and his wish that keeps me here, along with the family I have made out of Leoh's generations. Other then those two things, there is another reason I stay and not lay down and die as you would wish me to...I survive and I live on, because List is my home as much as it is and was Leohlics. The vargs in this pack are true to themselves and to each other....and even though it is winter and the lands are frozen and we grow hungry...It feels warm here, with the friendships and family bonds we have created. " For a moment, Fiory stopped and she turned her head just so that she could look back to Draeg, Sudak, Gryffin and the others. She knew this warmth, this family warmth that she had longed for for so long when she had been younger. Quietly, she allowed those golden hues to fall upon Draeg and she nodded her head in a gracious manner.
"It is true Draeg what Ziev says. Not that I do not wish for your continued stay in List, perhaps it best that you do go back to your packlands now to prepare for this impending war...I am sure there is much preperation to be done." Every word stung her tounge; oh how she disliked bending to the Second's will and doing what he asked her to do. Though she wasn't about to start hostilities up again; they were already high enough as is. Though before waiting for an answer of Draeg's Fiory ended her statement to him with a smile and another small sentence or two.
"Thank you for your visit Draeg, I do hope you fair well in the moons ahead. Take care friend."
It was then that she turned back to Ziev and using that same tone she cocked her head lightly to the side, her nose high in the air and those eyes sparkling brilliantly. Her words were soft, if not still containing that venum from before, though even still it was more so concealed then before.
"If you are satisfied...Please, don't deny us the...pleasure...of another moment going back on your word, Dear and Caring Second of the Balkar. Have a safe journey back to your lands...and do take care in the war you'll be pitted in." It was a, sincere statment to say the least. Fiory knew that the Balkar would be well equipped in the war, though that didn't stop her from thinking of the loss of life that would happen because of it. She did not know what had created this war, nor did she wish to find out or trouble herself on the matter. It did not concern her or List, so it was pushed from her head. Now, if Ziev was true to his word then List would still be within the Balkar's good graces, something Fiory would not release it from, for she knew very well that if the Balkar kept List protected, and as allies, then her family was safe...She may detest their actions towards others, but she respected them very deep down none the less. (( I know i'm late getting back in again but I was forced to wait to now to post ))
The ivory varg sat silently by the side of Gryffin, his mate. He had been observing the actions of his Drappa and was at no point surprised when she denied Draeg a permanent peace between the two packs. Sudak knew she could not accept such an offer. She too had made the same promise that Gryffin and himself had made to Leoh. Sudak smiled looking straight at his Drappa, he was glad she had kept to her word. He knew he wouldn't be able to break the will of Leoh even if he no longer remained among the living varg, but with the likes of Wolfbane.
Soon however another varg entered the scene this time the scent of the Balkan lands were strong upon him. Without doubt Sudak recognized the second of the Balkar. He had seen him and nearly had a feud with the second at Leoh's death bed. That face was hard to forget, and he would recognize his scent anywhere, the scent of evil. Ziev had struck harsh words towards Fiory since his entrance and Sudak was on edge, his senses fully attuned to the mann.
With the tumble of Silent into the scene with yet another mouse tightly within her jaws Sudak gave a slight chuckle. He remembered when he was that young and used to roll in the freshly fallen snow that so matched his pelt. However Silent came ever closer to Ziev and Sudak tensed his muscles with each inch she crept closer. As soon as Silent had rolled into the scene Sudak detected the rise of Ziev's paw as he was to swipe the cub clear through the treeline. Sudak dashed forward from his comfort beside Gryffin to the rescue of the newest of the List members. With barring his ivory fangs the red of his gums glarred their intense message torwards Ziev.
"Don't you lay a paw on her!"
Sudak barked with his hackles raised to their extent. The mention of Sudak and Gryffin's own cubs came next. The threat of bring death to his newborns was something Sudak was not going to take sitting down second of the Balkar or not. Sudak snapped his jaws at Ziev and jumped between himself and the path to Gryffin and the den a few moutain ridges away.
"And if you EVER, think of touching my family or pack, then you better prepare your peace with Wolfbane for your time in these moutains will be short-lived."
It seemed everytime Sudak met a member of the Balkar he greeted them with fangs drawn, with the exception of Leoh and Orion of course. Sudak had had enough of the second's verbal attack on List and he wasn't about to take any more of it.
"Cubs are our future, our way of life, and most of all our family. They will continue our lives through their lives just as Gryffin is continuing the life of Leohlic and now our cubs will continue his story even further. How you do not see the need and worth for cubs is beyond me, how can you call yourself a varg with such thoughts."
Clearly Sudak was upset, at this point claws digging deep into the ice crusted snow beneath his paws, his teeth still barring with the lust to rip Ziev's throat out for speaking such words. He held back with all of his might however muscles completely tense and eyes set straight into the pupils of Ziev with no sign of pulling back or weakness.

[glow=purple,2,3,00]Just when thoughts of a cease in hostilities ran across her mind, a golden ear heard the angered mann behind her and she was quick to rectify the problem. Swiveling her head around to glare at Sudak with those strong gold eyes Fiory gave a quick shake of her head, staring straight into his strong face without blinking, a sence of urgency in just the look on her face. She did not need Sudak, a varg she would trust with her own pathetic and meaningless life, risking himself over a verbal assualt. Words were nothing more then sounds on wind's currents, and were easily wisked away as soon as they were spoken. The meaning of these said words are different, for they can stick in the mind for a long while, though at the moment, this was not what Fiory wished to happen.
"Peace Sudak. He gives a threat of words and words alone. Do not risk yourself for your cubs...it's a risk that may not end well." She could only imagine if Sudak and Ziev fought each other. The blood spill and the carnage, and though she believed whole heartedly in her beta mann, she did not believe that Sudak would make it out unscathed or out at all. The last thing his pups needed, was to loose their father from his current state.
"Words are words and nothing more Sudak...And besides that, it is not you whom he wishes to humiliate, it's me...Calm your anger, and sit with your lovely mate." Her words were stern, like that of a scolding mothers, though she was not demanding Sudak to listen to her, she was just giving a warning for his own protection. That, and besides, if there were to be a fight at all between varg and varg, List and Balkar, Fiory would put herself in against Ziev first. [/glow]

The Second gripped the snow beneath his forepaw and released it, his cold saphire stare not breaking from Fiory's counterpart for half a second, almost wishing that she'd bring herself to challenge the Balkar wolf, though words of a softer tone followed, and Ziev shifted his weight back to his forepaws.
Ziev smirked, the mere thought that Fiory suggest of him having such feelings for a pack seemed off tone. Though perhaps Fiory mis-understood. The whole pack? Only did he wish to preserve Leohlic's efforts for the pack, and he may have thought once or twice that Leohlic's daughter should live, though the rest, the rest seemed to beg for tooth and claw. The Second exhailed, grey mists from his maw fell into the mountain winds, and he figured, for now, that there were more important things to be argued for, and the rest could have been taken care of later.
"It is true that I once was a pup. Childhood was beyond this valley, though my mother and father had better things to do than spend time raising cubs. I respect their decision, I taught myself my own ways, and I left the pack of mere boredom. If your so damn curious, of course." The second snarled
"Fair enough, Fiory, fair enough." The words came under an almost harsh tone, though under the conditions that Draeg would find himself home, Ziev too would retire from List, seeing to that List would remain neutral, and the territories would be offered to none. Though of course, a promise was a promise, and under no circumstances, would Ziev give a warning. " Then Draeg shall find his way, and after, I shall retire myself from your....heart-warming pack."
Though as Ziev stepped back and waited for Draeg, he found himself a little brave Sikla, dashing from the presence of Leohlic's daughter, and towards him, threating him with all his little worthless heart. He snapped wildly, trying to intimidate the Second. Ziev almost laughed, the Sikla reminding him of all the brave ones that ventured into his territory. It was also humourous that after half a minute of tranquillity being returned, this wolf wished to begin to put all of it at risk. What humour.
"Well, well, look at this." Zerov turned himself around, and stepped closer to the sikla. Courageous he was, and with the nerve of any sikla, aswell. "And, After all the trouble your Drappa has gone through to explain what a lovely pack this is, I have found the little stubborn Sikla of the pack."
The sikla seemed so livid, as if the Second had directly chosen his family to play with Wolfbane. The Second brought his form close to the Sikla, his cold saphire eyes staring down into the warm-blooded wolf. The soul and fire of Wolfbanes wrath twisted into his glare. He lifted his forepaw and reversed it, bringing it towards the Sikla's scruff, bringing the onyx claws within inches from the neck. His primary talon extended, waiting on the trigger of the Sikla's movements to send him into a spiralling death. "Don't push it, my friend, never did I mention such harm to you or your family, now run off to your mate and pups, before I'm forced to act otherwise." Ziev paused, his forepaw remained still, and his glare still held its indestructible lock on the wolf's eye. "Hmm, That's what I had thought."
Ziev smiled, replacing his threatining talon to the floor, and stepping back to be on his way, though he still waited on the Dragga of Ge-Rad to take his business else where. " I'd watch the temper of your warriors before they brutalize a newly built alliance, Fiory. " His gaze falling to the raven black Drappa, and then to the sikla once more, still ensuring the wolf, that he'd be in a nasty perdicament had he chosen to battle the Second of the Night Hunters.

// I'm definitelly not trying to reverse things trust me, I too want this alliance to continue on but you were definitelly pushing his boundaries. Sudak is quite a protector of cubs and those dear to him. No matter who's threatening. That lifted paw towards Silent really set him off ... and by the way even after this post, I don't want to fight. That would only make things worse.\\
Sudak stared straight down in the depths of Ziev's evil eyes without a flinch, his aud picking up the sound of Fiory's stern yet calming voice. Still the ivory Beta did not move a muscle. The onyx claws of Ziev now bristeling the hairs upon Sudak's neck sent shivers down his spine as if touched by evil itself. Sudak was no Sikla however, he stood proud and strong not even blinking his eye for a moment. His tail stood erect as a post, not making a single sway in the calm winter breeze. With a deep growl in his voice Sudak whispered back to the second.
"I am no Sikla, and I'll mind you well of that. There is no chance I will run off."
Even as the second lowered his claw to the highly contrasted snow below the two varg Sudak still did not budge. Only after Ziev began to turn did Sudak slowly but proudly back to once again sit between Fiory and Gryffin, his family. He did not need to fight, nor did he really want to fight, but both varg were toying with the boundaries dangerously. Sudak was not about to back down to another mann that threatened his very way of life as it existed. He sat tall eyes still locked with the fire of rage burning within them. He wasn't sure what had drawn him to suge fury and anger but it surely hadn't happened to often before the birth of his cubs. Fatherly instinct maybe he wasn't sure. Sikla he surely wasn't

Post by Gryffin on Jan 4, 2006 18:03:04 GMT -5
(aww i should have posted yesterday night huh ziev? )
Gryffin stood and she cocked an ear as the conversation soon turned from pups to the talks of war. Her fur prickled on end at the talk and she growled. The offer of hunting grounds had been intriguing. but how shameful and humiliating was it to share another dragga's territory? Gryffin shook her muzzle. It was not right. But Draeg's words snapped Gryfin from her reverie. She looked at the amber male and chuckled. "Do not worry on such things. Serg is not one i fear." Gryffin spoke, she had met him on many occasions and she had indeed gone to visit him during her pregnancy. Sadly Draeg did not have the honor to meet Tamra, the First of the Balkar when her father was the Second. He was truly a wicked one. But Gryffin had loved him just as dearly.
The tri hued beta looked to Fiory and tilted her head. So this was what it was going to be. Gryffin turned her emerald gaze back on Draeg and nodded. She had not much to say about her father's death. Her emerald orbs were brought to the ground again, not for respect but for sadness, her tail drooping. She stood there still listening to the words of Draeg, about how Deor's Dragga was sympathetic and would offer hunting grounds. Gryffin scoffed under her breath. But she wondered silently in her head, perhaps after the war, List could penetrate Deor. The last time she had entered their lands, there were not many members. Gryffin knew that the dragga would not offer his lands. What kind of dragga would rather have another pack feast in his lands and share his food when he had a pack to feed himself. Gryffin wondered if they could do the same to Deor as they did Koran. Still the burning hate for both the packs were alive in her heart.
The snarling of a mann rose Gryffin from her thinking and she looked up, her ears erect as she saw a black pelted wolf stalk into the clearing, his deep azure eyes flashing. Gryfin recognized him as Ziev the Second. The tri hued beta stood straight her emerald oculars placed on his form as she watched him calmly stalk in with a heir as great as Wolfbane himself. She bowed her muzzle to the Second in greeting. Her eyes flashed toward Fiory as she stood listening to the cold greeting she gave the Second.
Gryffin was keenly aware of how much Fiory disliked the Balkar. Gryffin's fur stood on end at the thought. She herself was much different. Balkar blood ran through her and she walked with open arms to the balkar. Not only her father but her grand-sire was a balkar as well. Much hidden was Gryffin own pride of a balkarian heritage.
Gryffin looked to Ziev and back to Fiory, the tension between them evident. She stayed silent though and watched as Ziev made his threats and Gryffin turned to Fiory to see what the Drappa would say. Gryffin padded forward, "No worries Ziev, why would you think we would break my father's promise? List was birthed as a pack belonging to the balkar. But it seems that through time such a title has faded to nothing but memories." Gryffin growled, the talk of the past was not something she liked to mention. Oh how the List were feared alongside the balkar. Gryffin was a mere pup back then but there was nothing that List could fear but fear itself.
Gryffin cocked a brow at Ziev's threats of hurting List's pups. She merely chortled, her auburn tail flickering to the side. True he had threatened her pups, but that wasn't enough to make her blood boil. She knew the ways of the balkar. But would Ziev really dare hurt the grand pups of the great Leohlic? The only link left that could pass on his bloodline?
Gryffin looked down at Renn and she grinned at the youth's braveness. She had List's ferocity and brave, though it wasn't plain to see with her timid nature but Gryffin knew it would burn inside her. The emissary turned to Ziev and her voice was emotionless, her emerald eyes pinned on his form, "Oh Ziev, Leohlic would not be pleased if you harmed his grand-pups now. How else can his bloodline live on?" Gryffin questioned. It was not a cocky retort like one of Fiory's but a simple state of fact.
Bu Gryffin blinked at Fiory's retort, how a balkar could care for more then his own pelt. Had Leohlic not cared for something far greater then himself? True her father was never one who loved pups, but his children he loved so dearly. And his pack was he not fond of List? Gryffin shook out her pelt and her ears twitched. Her eyes boring into the wolves around her. The beta was beginning to get impatient.
She stayed silent throughout the dispute between Ziev and Fiory, and when things began to settle Gryffin stood partly surprised by her mate's sudden jump and snarl. Gryffin's tail flickered and she looked at Ziev, her emerald eyes locking with his deep sapphire ones and she spoke, "Silent come back here and stay put" Gryffin barked. Was she angry at the young she cub? no. but she'd rather the young cub stay put then to harm herself while rolling about, which wasn't the brightest idea when tension were at such a peak.
Gryffin looked to Sudak, "Hold your anger, his means are only to threaten Fiory. " she spoke her words were low as she looked at her mate. Her ears twitched as she heard Fiory's restrain on Sudak. Her eyes flashed as she saw Ziev stalk infront of her mate and placed his paw above his neck. The beta's hackles raised and her pupils contracted as she bared one fang to the balkar. She respected Ziev enough, though she didn't like the fact that he was calling her mate a sikla. The link she held within her to the balkar was the only thign that stopped her from lashing at Ziev. But she was smarter then to do that. He was merely toying with the arctic Mann. But Gryffin's thoughts lingered on the same page as Fiory's. A battle between List and Balkar? Gryffin would have none of that. No, never should that be. Never would Gryffin have it that way.

For the most part Draeg remained silent throughout the course argument that had taken place between Ziev and the current Drappa of List, watching as Ziev threw about accusations against Fiory followed by a steady stream of threats. His eyes narrowed dangerously as the Balkar directed a comment towards him but the amber Dragga forced himself to remain silent, not wanting to give Ziev the satisfaction of drawing him into a fight. Draeg couldn’t help but admire how well Fiory was handling the situation, not allowing herself to be baited or intimidated by the Balkar’s threats or sinister jibes. He was impressed and found that he felt a new respect for the Listern Drappa and the way she handled herself and her pack. Though he couldn’t help but wince as mention of the war reached his ears Draeg lowered his head in a respectful nod upon hearing Fiory’s suggestion, knowing that it was hard enough for her to give in to Ziev’s demands and clearly in agreement that his presence would only cause more trouble for List. “In that case, I am glad to have had the chance to see you all again.” He growled. “I hope to see you all again when things have settled down and this war is said and done, until then take care.” Rising to his feet he padded began padding off, brushing his side against Gryffin’s as he past her and whispering softly into her ear. “I’ll tell Firefly you said hi.” With that he broke out into a steady lope and disappeared into the forest.
