((This is mostly intended for the Alpha's and Beta's though anyone pretty much anyone can join if they want))
The day was considerably colder than it had been in the past few weeks, probably due to the fact that winter had finally step upon the land and was busy making up for lost time. High above him thick storm clouds were spread out throughout the sky, blotting out the sun as tiny flakes of snow rained down upon the land like thousands of tiny crystals until the land was submerged in a soft blanket of white. Draeg padded tirelessly through the seemingly endless line of trees that surrounded him, a thin layer of white covered his back from where snow had fallen and gathered throughout the course of his journey. However thanks to his freshly grown winter pelt the amber varg hardly felt any of the affects of the colds chilling bite, he had been able to move across the seemingly endless snowdrift with the utmost ease thanks to huge, massive paws which splayed out upon the ground with each step and allowed for more suitable traction than pointed hooves or small paws.
The amber Dragga had been on the move for much of the morning as his trek took him from the heart of Ge-Rad and all the way to the fringes of the List, along the way he had passed through the no-mann’s land and scoured the packless lands for any semblance of prey but had found none much to his displeasure. Despite the fact that Ge-Rad’s numbers had swelled since Draeg had wrestled control of the pack from its previous Dragga food was becoming scarce, though it seemed as though the pack was flourishing with so many members to feed there was hardly enough lera to support the enormous pack. Even more disturbing was that a good majority of their number consisted of a combination of pregnant fae and pup, many of which had yet to see their second moon. Among them was Draeg’s own newborn son, the sole survivor of his litter. The amber Dragga was fiercely protective over his son just like he was of the rest of his children however somewhat more so for his latest pup due to Cwen’s attachment to the pup, not that Draeg didn’t loved the pup, far from it, but the amber varg had promised his mate that he would never allow any harm to befall their son so long as he still had breath left in his body and he intended to keep his promise regardless of the cost. Of course it would be difficult with the war between the packs so close at hand and this was why the amber Dragga of Ge-Rad had come to List, to see if he could somehow manage to keep the mountain pack from participating in the war and siding with their Balkar kin for he knew of their ties to the Night Hunters and that they would indeed side with the pack whose roots were entwined with their own.
He truly didn’t expect to accomplish anything but still he felt the need to try, Draeg had ties with the Listern varg, particularly their Beta’s, so perhaps there was a chance they might agree to ignore the war and concentrate on their own survival. After all one could only hope. Besides, Gryffin’s term would be up by now and Draeg was eager to learn of the condition tri-hued femme and his godchildren so that he could tell Firefly all about it. Still he was a bit anxious about his visit, recalling how the last time he had ventured into List to apologize to the packs emissary his welcome had been less than friendly. He hovered along the pack borders for a moment longer, pacing back and forth anxiously amidst the snow before finally coming to a stop. Throwing his head back he let out a long, drawn out howl, calling forth the members of the pack so that he might conduct his negotiations. With that done he seated himself back on his haunches and waited patiently, however as he sat there he couldn’t help but wonder if any of the varg would remember the last time he had ventured into List.

The snowy-white hare shot forward, terror flashing in its brown orbs, racing for its life. Following the hunted Lera was a golden she-wolf, paws pounding the snow as she caught up with her quarry. Focusing enitrely on the hare's agile body, Renn launched herself forward, hooking the hare's hind legs with a paw. Plunging forward, the hare fell, stunned, andawaited its fate. Closing in, Renn sank her teeth into the soft skin that covered the Lera's neck and bit deep, slicing the wind pipe. Blood spattered into her throat, the taste driving the ravenous faemme wild. Tearing at the still-convulsing body, Renn spilled its innards, blood pooling on the icy surface. Dipping her muzzle gratefully into the puddle, Renn laped at the sweet liquid, enjoying its sharp taste on her dry tounge, allowing it to wash down her parched throat.
The melody of another filled Renn's ears with its beauty, the very essence of it stirring memories of the young grizzled Dragga, Kop. The golden shades faemme had watched as Kop dealt with the strange feelings that wrestled inside him when the two met and laughed when his crush was voiced by none other than his Mother, Cwen. Now the two were firm friends, Renn not yet spilling her own secret attraction for Kop, leeting him amuse her with his feelings for a while longer before the same embarrassment was turned upon her.
Her muzzle covered in the dead hare's blood, Renn began to move toward the source of the song, spedding forward as she let the memories of Kop drift through her. Stopping short of the ttree-line, Renn watched the newcomer, a look of disgust on her face. Instead of the grizzled pelt, the handsome muzzle, the valiant poise of Kop, Renn saw a golden-pelted Dragga, his pelt more amber than her own, sitting in List terra, waiting for one such as her to make an appearance. This Varg was an adult, young but still an adult, and apart from the peltage difference, very similar to Kop. As she noticed this similarity, Renn remembered that Kop's father was Draeg, the amber Dragga of Ge-Rad who had betrayed both Cwen, the Drappa, and Firefly, a Hybrid faemme, causing a scandal that had reached Renn's ears and torn at her as her heart went out to the betrayed faemmes.
A snarl curling her blood-stained lip, Renn strode forward, her tail rising as she confronted the intruder, emerald orbs flashing with defiance. This Dragga had blighted Kop's life, forcing her friend to seek comfort in a faemme from an enemy Pack. "Draeg, what buissness do you have in Listern terra?" Renn growled, her voice sharp as she thought of the hurt Draeg had caused Kop. "Speak quickly, Dragga, I have heard of the rumours of War, so it would not be in your best interests to aggravate us." The sight was absurd, a young faemme, lowly in rank, threatening the Dragga of a rival Pack.

Gryffin got up and nuzzled her sleeping newborns. Her pink tongue licking them each with loving care as she padded out of the den. It hurt the mother to even leave the den for a minute but she was thirsty and needed to stretch her legs. Gryffin got up and padded slowly to the crimson lake. Dipping her head she lapped at the cold water that was just about to freeze over. She shivered after every gulp and shook out her fur. Paws slipping through the snow as she began to walk back to the den. But suddenly a sharp and great howl broke the silence and Gryffin shot up. Her crimson ears erect and alert. Who was there that summoned such a call? Draeg. Gryffin remembered immediately. But what business did he have here?
Gryffin did not need to speak with anyone much, except for her pack members. She didn't care much to speak with anyone else, save Serg and perhaps Firefly. But other then that she was fine being her quiet self, which wasn't really something that suited Gryffin for she was a loud and active she wolf, with much to say and much to do. and really much of everything t stay put for more then two seconds. How the den life was testing her to stay in one spot for over hours. It was her father's death that had rattled her inner core. She had not seen her father for many moons and yet when she had finally reunited she found him o on the verge of death. Gryffin sighed, now both her parents were dead, the founders of such a great pack. Both lost to the jaws of death. But Gryffin had to see what the amber varg wanted. She must see what he wanted.
But with so much thought she had even forgotten that there was a war to come, so many events had gone by, why would gryffin even dwell in the thoughts of war. list was a pack that did no get as much food as the other neighboring packs and every last bite of flesh was gratifying. The tri hued varg hurried back to the den, where her three newborns were still sound asleep. the mother nudged the soft bedding around them and covered them slightly. Now not only were they warm but hidden beneath the bedding. Gryffin nuzzled them one last time before dashing out of the entrance and toward the sound of the howl.
She ran faster then she could have ever imagined. It must have been all that held up energy while she was in the den, just waiting to burst out. Gryffin panted and slowed now and she actually arrived faster then she thought she would have.
Upon arrival she had heard growling and at that Gryffin became alert, her ears pressed forward and her hackles prickling as her emerald eyes glared out in to the clearing where she saw one lone amber he wolf sitting. And near him a growling golden she wolf. Renn.
Gryffin walked forth and dipped her head in greeting. She looked to Renn who had spoken of the war and at that point Gryffin was reminded of the talk. She too growled. So was it true? Would there be a war once again? Gryffin was sourly reminded on how the outcome of the last war had turned out. Her aunt, the Great Bila had died, at the jaws of Tarkah the Koran drappa. Gryffin snarled at that name, how she detested the very name and if she could have the chance she would rip her very throat out. Gryffin growled and turned to look at Draeg. Her voice emotionless though one could tell she was curious yet aggravated at the male's presence.
"Greeting Draeg, long time no see." Gryffin said though there was a tinge of happiness in seeing the male. But something inside of her kept her emotions set to anger and frustrations. Oh the tri hued she varg was confused. She was friends with this male but something was pulling her away from that line. What was it? "I agree with Renn, Draeg. What brings you here in our little humble abode?"
Gryffin looked to Renn and nodded reassuring her that it would be fine, the dragga's presence was of no threat to the Listern vargs. Emerald oculars swerved back onto the amber male and Gryffin spoke once again. "Draeg if there is some matter you wish to discuss then i wish that you will hurry, I cannot leave my pups alone for much longer." Gryffin said, impatience wearing her down. But Gryffin had just remembered that draeg had not known of the news that her pups had been birthed.
The last time the two had encountered, Gryffin's stomach had barely even grown. She lifted her head proudly and grinned, "ahh i forgot to tell you, Sudak and my pups have been born." Gryffin said warmly, and one could see the motherly pride alive in her emerald diamonds. "oh and I'm sure you will forward this news to Firefly? How is she doing?"Gryffin said subconsciously. She had not seen the hybrid in a while and wondered how her two pups were. But Gryffin would not let such a reunion break her so easily, she was still aware that Draeg was here for more then saying 'how do you do'. Gryffin knew that there was something Draeg wanted to talk about, but what? Gryffin wondered in her mind, why was the amber varg here?

The carefree adolesent bounded on, chasing what looked like a small mouse. Auds perked to their peak as she bounced and played with the terrified Lera for her own fun. The she-varg jumped at the small mouse as it shot toward a hole under the oak tree, batting it from its goal, the silver varg piked it up in her jaw. Her jaws not crushing it as her ears perked again, that typical puppy look in her golden hazel eyes as she bounded forward toward the clearing where the meeting was being held. But without knowing it, she dropped the mouse at the treeline to the forest, and started to play once again. Batting, running, pouncing and snarling. Soon the mouse was dead of fright. The whimperring silver varg nudged the body of the Lera and sighed sadly. Her body was starving, but she did not eat this prize she ad caught. Oh no, she had to keep it, picking it up she looked around for anymore Listern Varg about. But none exept the three beow her, cocking her head to one side, making her more pup like, she stepped forward toward the three golden coloured varg.
Jumping into a slow lope, the prize still in her delicate jaw, she covered the ground emensly. Stride lengthenng until she skidded to a terrible stop, the silver faemme ended up in a heap before the Amber Dragga. She had skidded, flipped and then rolled to a stop just before the important vargs paws, the prize still safe in her jaws, no blood spilt down her throat. She picked herself up of the rough frozen ground and dropped the small Lera at Gryffins paws, as she was Beta Varg, ad more important that herself. Looking proud with herself, the silver varg jumped about a little, then rememberred that she must bow before her Beta, she bowed lowly, her muzzle touching the snowy ground. Almost slipping down again, she jumped away and bowed to Renn, but not as low. Her ears perked as she listened carefully.
Her large paws were dug into the icy ground, as she didn't want to slip again, suddenly that thought of the White Varg whom saved her life popped into her mind. But she was dead, that pack had killed her like she was Lera. But there she stood, infront of Silent, but only her could see it. A spirit? A ghost? She did not know as the white faemme slowly dissapeared and the silver adolesent slipped and crashed against the ground. She whined loudly and whimperred like a pup hungry for milk or meat. She opened her golden Hzel orbs and looked up at the Amber Dragga, without knowing he was a Dragga. SHe picked herself up again.
"Is he here to join the Listern Pack Renn?" Her voice was soft, and sounded young. But the silver faemme was strong in battles. She knew Renn was still not really her friend, she had only encountered the golden hued she-varg once. When she was half accepted into the pack, she had run, attacked her best friend and went. Silent was left, left alone with Novex, another varg which she hardly new. "So whom is he? Is he from our allies The Balkar? Is he already a member of the Listern Pack?" So full of querstions was this adolensent, she turned her body, her back end jumping and twisting around so she was facing the Amber Varg. "I am Silent, just new to the Listern Pack" And then she fell SIlent, again, her auds perked as she listened for an answer. She looked at her small prize at Gryffins paws, hoping that she was going to be pleased of her kill, and bringing it to the seacond most important varg in the pack instead of devouring it herself. Her silver body alm,ost blended in this the icy terrain around her. She, so far, was the odd one out of the four.

Sudak had arrived back at the whelping den with yet another grand pieve of herla meat when he realised that the smell of his dear mate had no longer strongly resided within the den, it did however lead off from the side of the crimson lake in the opposite direction. A worried look spreak across his maw as he dropped the meat and dashed off in her direction. The thoughts that Gryffin had to chase off or even worse fight an intruder flashed before his eyes. With all of his might he raced through the towering bare trees that now would occasionally drop their load of freshly fallen powder that so conveniently matched his ivory pelt. Like a ghost through the landscape Sudak approached the destination of his mate's scent only to burst out of the brush to find the form of Draeg before him. Sudak slid to a halt and with a surprised look on his face he began.
"DRAEG??"
The newly founded Dragga of Ge-Rad here in List lands once again.. A friendly visit perhaps. He had known of the cubs that Gryffin so powerfully carried throug the moons but the look on his face did not seem that of joy and reunion but that of dread of something. Sudak had caught the mention of war, but was this what was so spontaneously brought upon the group? The threat of war always loomed over List and especially during the dreaded season of winter. With the addition of the Beta's pups food would be less scarce which dramatically increased their chances of war. However the last time Gryffin and Sudak had gone to war along side the now well adored spirits of List, he had hoped deep in his heart he would not have to bear the burden of battle again. If that was to come however, he must do what he must do for the pack and himself to survive.
He padded beside his mate with a quick sigh of relief he sat upon his haunches and nuzzled her neck warmly then to wait for the resonse of the Beta's dear friend.

It wasn’t long before Draeg found himself in the company of another varg, he had been grooming himself to pass the time when an unfamiliar scent had filled his nose and caught his attention. A moment later he had been greeted by the snarling form of a rather unfamiliar varg making her way towards him, cocking an amused brow Draeg eyed the pup carefully but made no move as to speak or threaten the younger varg. Studying her carefully Draeg realized that with the exception of her eyes she looked very much like his beloved Huts before she died, and for a brief moment he thought it was her but quickly realized that it was only his mind playing tricks on him. Though there were similarities between the two this varg was still to young to be Huts and even if she wasn’t there were still too many differences for them to be the same, however they did seem to share the same temperament much to Draeg’s amusement. However his eyes narrowed upon hearing the pup mention his name and the amber Dragga found himself staring down at the Listern varg, eying her wearily as she continued snarling and began ordering him about. “My business is with your Dragga and Drappa and their beta’s, I have done nothing to you so there is no reason for you to greet me in such a manner.” He explained. “I am fully aware of the rumors but I haven’t come here to promote a war, now how is that you know my name? I do not recall ever meeting you before.”
Another scent suddenly filled his nose, this time the familiar smell of the Listern Beta Gryffin, and he caught sight of something slowly cresting the slope, rising to his feet the amber Dragga of Ge-Rad let out an excited yip at seeing his old friend again for the first time in months and eagerly awaited her arrival. He watched as she made her way down the snow covered slope and bowed his head to her respectfully, he began to pad over to her but stopped when she suddenly let lose a slight growl. Confused by his friend’s show sudden show of aggression Draeg took a slight step away from the tri-colored femme and quickly shook himself off, ridding himself of the thin layer of frost that had collected on his back. “In truth, partly to see how you and Sudak were holding up but evidently there was no need for that now was there.” He growled, a bit put off by his somewhat hostile welcome. Draeg wondered what had happened to the carefree varg that he had met all those moons ago who would always go out of her way to tease him, had news of the war worried her so much that she would cast aside their friendship so willing and turn on him. No, there had to be more to it than that. Gryffin motioned for Renn to cease be silent and her snarling before turning back to face him, the amber Dragga could tell she seemed rather impatient and it seemed that it was this that was driving her to seem more blunt than usual rather than her normal peppy self.
Upon hearing mention of the word pups Draeg’s features brightened considerably, in all the commotion he had forgotten that the emissaries term had already expired and that he hadn’t taken the time to ask about her pups yet. Noting the look of pride on her features Draeg knew that Gryffin had successfully whelped her first litter and that they were probably thriving, letting out an excited bark and wagging his tail furiously the amber varg spoke. “That’s great news Gryff, congratulations! How many are there? Can I see them?” he yipped ecstatically. “Of course I’ll tell Firefly, she’ll be thrilled to hear about this. As a matter of fact she and the pups are doing fine, they’ve adjusted to life in Ge-Rad and have made a lot of friends. Cwen doesn’t even bother them.” He was about question her further on the matter when he caught sight of something approaching them from the corner of his eye, turning his head slightly he caught sight of another varg making her way towards the group. Like Renn she was relatively young with silver fur, probably no older than his first litter, Draeg watched in silence as she loped down the hill until she slipped and came skidding along the snow until she wound up lying in a heap in front of the amber Dragga.
Staring down at her for a moment Draeg cocked an ear and cast an amused brow over at Gryffin before helping the pup up to her feet, she seemed to bounce back with no real trouble at all and Draeg watched as she quickly made her way over to Gryffin and deposited the tiny form of a dead mouse at the Listern Beta’s paws before lowering her head respectfully to both her packmates. “I’m guessing you’ve been taken in a few new recruits since my last visit?” he asked, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth. Draeg was forced to bite back a chuckle at the youngest antics as he watched her snout practically sink into the snow before she finally turned and began questioning her packmates in earnest, unlike Renn she seemed to have no idea of who he was and kept her tone as friendly and respectful as possible. However he couldn’t help but wince when she ask if he was a part of the Balkar, he had never really liked the fact that List was associated with Night Hunters but had always respected their decision to remain close to the pack even after Serg had taken over. Still Draeg did not like being confused with such a vicious pack especially when it was a well known fact that Ge-Rad would be at war with them soon, still this wolf, Silent, was new and apparently did not know of his bad relationship with the pack so he decided to let the matter go. “My, your full of questions aren’t you? Well that’s good, asking questions sharpens the mind. Now as to yours no, I am not here to join List nor am I am not a member of the Balkar.” He explained kindly. “I am Draeg of Ge-Rad, and though you probably wouldn’t notice at first glance I am the packs Dragga. I am here on business.”
Following her gaze down to the mouse at Gryffin’s paws he let out a slight chuckle seated himself back on his haunches yet again. “What a splendid looking catch, look how plump it is. Did you fetch that for Gryffin? She’s going to need as much food as she can get to nourish her pups.” Turning his attention back over to Gryffin the amber varg’s expression became somber and he heaved out a deep sigh, clearly not looking forward to what he was ask. He was about to speak when a familiar voice suddenly rang out in the air causing him to jump in surprise, his fur standing on end Draeg scanned the surrounding area until he spotted what he was looking for. Letting out delighted bark he dipped his head in greeting as Sudak arrived on the scene, he was pleased to see that the white wolf was doing well and was quick to congratulate him on becoming a father before returning to the business at hand. “Like I was telling Gryffin earlier I did come to see how you both were doing but also because I wish to ask something of you and List, as you know soon the packs of Ge-Rad, Koran, and Deor will be engaged in war with both Sarnes and the Balkar. Given List connection with the Night Hunters and your rivalry with Koran I know this means that it’s only a matter of time before Serg comes seeking List aid if he hasn’t already.” Draeg lifted his head slightly and gave out a frustrated whine before looking back at the pair, clearly torn between his friendship for the two betas and his duty as Dragga. “I honestly don’t want to fight you or any of List for that matter, especially now that you have pups. I wanted to ask if there’s anyway List can be persuaded to stay out of the war, I know your connections to the Balkar but this war has nothing to do with you. I promise that I will do my best to keep Leohlic, Fernlick, and anyone else you ask me to from coming to harm but I don’t want to find myself pitted against either of you or anyone else here for that matter. I know that prey can become a little scarce during the winter for List, I can see if Chalos will share his hunting grounds with you until spring in exchange for List remaining neutral, I’m sure that he’ll agree to it. Normally I would share my territory but I’m afraid Ge-Rad is in the same situation as List because of us…because of me allowing to many wolves to join and then breed.” he continued, beratting himself for almost implicating Cwen in something that had clearly been his fault. Taking a deep breath he lowered his head and gave out a slight sigh before continuing, letting his tail hang limply behind him as he did. “I’ll understand if you do not accept my offer, I know who much List reveres it’s ties but I hope you understand that I had to try.”
((Oh and just for the record, I know that I can't stop List from joining the war but I want to play my character in this fashion so kindly no criticism please.))

Post by Gryffin on Jan 3, 2006 0:30:06 GMT -5
Gryffin sat on her haunches when a sudden noise aroused her. Crimson ears perked Gryffin looked out and saw a silver coloured she pup running full speed down the hills. Gryffin watched and could have probably guessed the outcome. Besides, Gryffin tried running down those slopes her self when she was young. The outcome was not pretty. She watched as Silent skidded and slipped and landed in front of her paws. Gryffin frowned but couldn't help but grin at the youngsters antics and she hid a laugh from the she varg.
Gryffin dipped her muzzle and nudged her softly before she had bowed her head down, so low that Gryffin blinked and tilted her head. Smiling though Gryffin chuckled and watched as Silent dropped a plump mouse at her feet. Gryffin smiled "Thank you Silent. Lovely catch." she said and licked the she pup on the muzzle before giving her a small nuzzle as a thank you.
Gryffin then lowered her jaws to the mouse and began to eat it slowly, making sure nothing would go to waste. Her emerald eyes looking up though as she watched Silent fall before Draeg now. Gryffin sighed and hid her chuckle again as she licked her lips. Her ears cocked as she heard the many questions that seemed to be flooding out from the young Silent's maw. For a varg who's name was Silent wasn't so silent after all. Gryffin thought with an amused ponder.
But before Gryffin could look up the loud shout of a male wolf caught her attention and made Gryffin lift her head and barked watching as Sudak emerged fro the depths of List territory. She grinned and nuzzled him in greeting.
Gryffin had been aware that Draeg was taken aback by Gryffin's not so welcome greeting. Though it did not occur to the tri hued wolf that she was being a black cloud. But the talk of pups had made Gryffin think none more of it. She grinned and her auburn tassel began to wag. "Why there are three. Sora, Aiyu and Arias" Gryffin stated proudly and she was also relieved and happy that her good friend Firefly was doing fine. "That sounds well. Tell Firefly i send my blessings and greetings then." she said with a warm smile.
Though the knowledge that the amber male had more to speak of still rattled the beta's mind and finally it surfaced. The long awaited subject. Gryffin listened carefully and she nodded. So there was to be war. Her expression turned to that of neutral and she nodded to his words. This was truly difficult. Gryffin couldn't possibly fight against Firefly. But what was so appealing was the fight against Deor and Koran. Revenge was written all over their packs and Gryffin's throat grumbled with the thought. How nice it would be to be able to finally wipe those smug faces off their muzzles. Little did she know that Koran was not as fond as Ge rad anymore. Gryffin looked at Draeg, "No Serg has not come, in fact i have not saw him for few moons now." she said and little did she know that possibly the most hated varg in Draeg's eyes was Serg. She didn't know how much they loathed each other.
Gryffin thought Nothing to do with them. Gryffin wondered. But wasn't that statement false? Before Sarnes came to be List could have easily suited up to be the second pack that was as fierce as the balkar. Only List had began to lose in their ranks and more importantly the first drappa's of List perished. Was it not in the blood tie in List that connected the Night Hunters to them? Though Gryffin was the only one in List left that had blood ties with the balkar, save her newborn pups.
Gryffin paused and thought but her head snapped and she looked at Draeg with her emerald orbs. He had promised not to hurt her kin? Gryffin growled and tore her gaze painfully away from Draeg. As for the offer that Chalos would share his hunting grounds Gryffin barely sighed and chuckled at the silly thought. Though Deor had had a new alpha the members of Deor would still remember the battle with koran. And B.T she would oppose to the idea. Though little did she know that the old nurse had perished. Gryffin looked t Draeg, "It would have been a good idea, only do you really think Deor would joyously offer us a piece of their hunting grounds?" Gryffin asked in astonishment. If she knew deor, she knew that they would not possibly give them free herla. Gryffin shook her head. and besides what would Koran think? List would not sink to such a level. The tri hued varg looked to Draeg. Though her eyes had somewhat turned into passionate hues she sighed. The blood of balkar ran so vivid in her blood that it was hard for Gryffin to find a way out.
But Gryffin's heart began to pain and she growled. Her emerald eyes were locked onto the amber hues of draeg and the fiery beta gritted her teeth. "There is no use to avoid my father Draeg. He is already dead" Gryffin barked, though her voice was as hard as stone, one could still tell the grief and sadness that was engraved so painfully and deeply within the three toned emissary. The word dead rang in her head for what seemed like an eternity. It was hard to believe that a wolf like him could come to the end of his days. And who could forget his last wishes, for List and the Balkar to forever remain as close as kin.
Gryffin looked to Draeg. "I am sorry, but my father;s blood runs through me and my heritage has me plotted into situation where it seems impossible to have another outcome to this subject. But my word alone cannot change the matter for it is all up to my alphas, Fiory and Bristol. Until they arrive I cannot distribute a final order." Gryffin stated simply, though sadness shimmered in the wetness of her emerald diamonds.
"But I hope you can understand." Gryffin said. "You know, List would not go off into war, unless the balkar call for us. If they do then we will head into war. But still i am unsure. Again the dictation lies i in the arrival of List's alphas." Gryffin said and she sat down on her haunches. Looking at Renn she licked the golden she wolf in comfort. Her emerald eyes had fallen and she was starring at the remains of the prize mouse Silent had caught for her earlier.
//yah now we have to what for Fiory and Bristol//

[glow=purple,2,3,00]((Pff, late to the party as usual -.-' Sorry folks))
Orange flames were everywhere, they licked at the air and danced in all directions. It was like Fiory could not escape them as she ran on and on, her mother's voice ringing through to just keep running and never look back. Though those hell fire's kept reaching out to grab her again and again, cackling and sniggering wickedly as she moved in and out of the falling timber. Tor and Fenris even seemed to laugh at her, as she moved with fright this way and that, though no matter where she turned the flames were there again. She was trapped, she would parish in these hell flames of Wolfbane's, never known to anyone ever again.
The ebony cranium jerked foreward in the snow, smoke billowing from her nostrils in great puffs. The snow walls around her had been kicked away with great force, and she had backed herself up against a large sicamore tree. 'It was only a dream, only a nightmare...' the ebon femme thought to herself, her heart racing faster then a frightened snow hare. Quietly, Fiory lay there with the snow caked upon her silky coat and pitch appendages just recollecting her nerves and straightening them out. Though lying here wasn't helping, so upon those bone thin stilts she rose shakily, moving away from her nightmare's den and taking a walk. Perhaps she would find some food to satisfy her starving gut, a field mouse or perhaps a hare would do. Though as the snow began to fall, she doubted any of the like would be out for some time. Treking on, she came upon a scent that was quite familiar to her, and a welcome smell it was; Gryffin...And Sudak too it seemed. As she began to follow their marks in the snow, she came across other smells, of the new adolescents in List's boundries..and speaking off, each of these cross smells were going to one place near the boundry line of List. Was her neice and mate leaving and taking the adolescents with them? It was a far fetched idea. More then likely Fiory thought of Gryffin and Sudak possibly teaching the youngsters how to hunt for mice much like she herself had done for them some time ago. Ah, the memories of yesteryears...some good and some bad, but all memories all the same. Quietly, the ebony femora Trotted towards the clearing where the small group had gathered. She hadn't caught much, but she had caught enough of their conversation to spark her interest immensly. The nightmare long forgotten, the streamline figure of Fiory moved through the brush and out into the open.
"Welcome Draeg, though I'm sure you've heard that several times already, I wish to say it again.." the black stargazer said softly, golden opticals sparkling just as the stars did in the evening. Her yellowed ears flicked foreward she moved to stand in front of Draeg quietly. It was definatly seen that List could probably use the extra hunting grounds that Ge-Rad was offering, just by looking at their Drappa. She was all skin and bones and fur atop that. Ribs exposed and her spine full of bumps along her back. Her legs though usually thin as they were, showed bone in some places when she walked, and though clearly emaciated as she was, Fiory held herself royally, as a Drappa should. Though, she considered him readily on his offer if not to spite the Balkar herself.
Fiory had never really liked the night hunter's to begin with. She already knew Serg would probably not hesitate to toss her into Wolfbane's fires, for she knew she would do the same if it weren't for her honored and deceased Dragga Leohlic. His dieing words were held dear to Fiory, and she wasn't about to break the balkar as an ally and go against Leoh's wishes for anything in the world....Even if she dearly wanted to.
"I tell you Draeg, I would gladly wish for List to remain neutral, for I do not want any of my pack involved in a war that does truly, not involve us. Though it is true we have an alliship with the Balkar, I do detest it..." Fiory's ears went backward, though she kept her head held high. "Truth of the matter is, no matter how much I detest the beings in the Balkar, I am first and foremost their allies...though I promise you this, Draeg of Ge-Rad...That List will remain neutral in this war, until Serg comes himself to request our help. Until that day, we remain on no one's side." Though Fiory wished to help Draeg, she could not go back on her word, but only offer a promise. That and she couldn't stand being beside Tarkah of Koran without tearing her throat out. Though usually subdued and tranquil, Fiory never truthfully forgot the past, and she would never forgive that femora of white for murdering her sister Bila so long ago. She would never forget how she had to carry Bila's corpse across the lands of Koran and into List, just to bring her sister home for the final time. She could never forget the death that clung to Bila's remaining hue, nor the fear that plagued Tarkah's face when Fiory finally appeared out of the darkness only to be too late.
Mark my words and mark them well Sikla, if a paw of yours treads upon List lands it will be surely bitten off as well as your head. I vow here and now, never to ally myself with Koran, and some day soon perhaps you will meet a stickier end then that of my sister....I await the day that I taste your blood on my fangs Tarkah
"I am sorry I can not give you a better answer Draeg, though you have my word, I would never stand along side Koran and be certain as to which evil I wished to kill....Though, as for hunting grounds as such, I'm sure we would be happy to borrow them for the time being..as you can probably already know my neice birthed my grand nephews and neices, and I do wish for them to be well fed and plump this harsh winter. If there is more to say, then I am sure Bristol can continue where I left off, though I believe I have given all the answers that I can...Again, I am sorry..but my decision to keep List far from Koran is final." Fiory's words were quiet and soft, airy as they usually were, even if her voice seemed a bit dark with the talk of death and of recollecting the beasts of Koran. Fiory was definatly tied between two evils, the murdering dogs of Koran, or the equally savage vargs of the Balkar. Both she detested, though only one she promised to stay allies with, and Fiory wasn't one to break her promises, no matter how much she disliked the idea of it.[/glow]

The ivory form of Sudak sat waiting patiently, not nearly as well as Gryffin as she seemed to be very anxious and for a good reason as Gryffin needed to attened to the cubs. The mouse which Silent had brought before Gryffin had quickly been devoured by his mate and what lay remaing was the boney form so small and clean that not even the flying putnar could find use of it. To return his attention to the Alpha of Ge-Rad Draeg soon began with his proposal of List remaining clear of danger and war. Of course that is what Sudak hoped for as well. There were far too many other tasks to be accomplished these few moons and war would seriously deter them from their chores. With the deteriorating form of the Listern Drappa, Fiory, Sudak released a friendly yip as to say a quick welcome to the ebon drappa and newly found aunt of his cubs. The answer which she provided was of clearly no surprise to Sudak as he showed no shock or change in his facial expression. His tail did seem to rise a few inches however as he became more alert to the response of Draeg. He did hope that the Balkar should not feel the need to request the assistance of List, though he knew it was more than likely to come and to come in ernest. With the thought Sudak looked to the forest floor that was now thoroughly frozen over from the freezing winter nights that occupied the Listern lands constantly this time of year. A saddened expression upon his maw was revealed but not to the answer of his Drappa but to the thought of war and meeting his friend in battle face to face. He was not sure what he would do in that kind of situation. With heart pulling in the directions of friendship, alliance and pack, there was no doubt in his mind that with these thought, Pack first, no matter what the cost.((YAY 300 Posts for me ))

//You all don't mind me joining now do you? It seems as though Fiory's decision is final though anyway\\
[glow=black,2,900] The bright sun was reached the solstice of the sky, though it remained held behind the endless blanket of a cold grey. The transitions between somber autumn and the great winter had been made almost without much warning. The lasts of the leaves still were held by their root, and remained loyal to its mother, though the leaves themselves, were taken far from life, its surface faded into the darkest shades of brown, the once smooth, flexible surface, frozen solid, crispy and as fragile as the bones of a new born dear. Even after winter seized the forests, they were definately more alive than that of his home. The evergreen brought out its brightest colours, and its fallen toxin pins still visible at the forest floor, along with grass and soil that was once most fertile.
The Second stretched his paws, covering the distance between the borders of the Balkar, and that of the somewhat nearby List. Saphire eyes were brought to the sky, noting the blackend environment, and the ever pouring snow that sifted to its place on the deceased arms of the trees, and the frozen floor of List. His thick pelt was marked with a rusted crimson colour at his forpaws, that stretched along his tail, the very tips of his auds and neck marked in somewhat of a similiar fashion, the out of place red a result of his fathers pelt, a scrawny red wolf, who lived beyond the great grid of mountains. Blackened claws dragged amongst the growing snowdrift, leaving clean marked lines behind his path to his own amusement.
The Second had not really admired the fact that the List pack existed, and the exceeding fact that they remaind allies with the Night Hunters, though since the passing of a great wolf, that perspective somewhat changed. Leohlic was the name of this great wolf, the father of the List pack, and a Former First to the Night Hunters. It was to his last rights that the Night Hunters the wolf of List remained allies, and for the time being, it would be so. Even with this, the Second never had much intrest in the List pack, though a call to war between the wolf of Deor, and that of the Night Hunters, brought a growing suspense in the winds of the valley, something that Ziev could not wait for. Deor had found themselves pleading to the packs of Ge-Rad, and Koran, in fear and fright of the consequences that the Night Hunters would severly destroy them. Ziev did not worry for this matter, he had not cared for anyone of importance amongst these packs. Deor and Koran had only single leaders, Chalos and Tarkah their names were, brought to him by the talk and rumours throughout the valley. Ge-Rad, however, was a more thriving pack, their leaders both prominent figures of the valley, rarily did a moon pass by without hearing the names of these wolf. Draeg and Cwen. Such talk annoyed the second, for they grew famous for all the wrong reasons. Youth, popularity. Yes, worthless reasons, though such a fellow, Draeg, now he seemed to be an intresting character. Two mates at once, and several litters. The thought of one submitting so much care and love to such a worthless cause seemed like a waste of flesh.
All that remained in between such a dispute between the Night Hunters and Deor,Ge-rad aswell as Koran, was the lone pack of List. Ziev had found himself a little more cautious of the Balkan borders, although it would be against the will of Leoh that List would join such disconcerning conflict. Chalos seemed to wish that every absent minded kerl of the lands be turned to face the Night Hunters. Careless of this matter, it was only to his amusement, and to the advantage to the First, Serg, that Ziev kept the borders of List closed to the starving bodies of Chalos, Draeg and Tarkah.
A westward wind brought the scents of much activity downward toward the Second. One scent similiar to that of Leohlic's. His onyx claws dragged carelessly amonst the snow until his cold saphire optics met that of many wolf. The daughter of Leohlic was one of the first he was able to reconize, though a name still did not exist in his mind. He noticed the Drappa of List, Fiory, who he knew just a little bit more that Leoh's daughter. Fiory did not as much respect the Night Hunters, and little respect was returned. And then amonst the scrawny filthy newborn youth of the pack, his eyes met that of an amber wolf, his descriptions directly matched that of what the winds spoke of him. Draeg was his name, Dragga of Ge-Rad. A wolf worth the tooth and claw, he had once heard a familiar wolf speak.
" Well, look at this. Such a prominent figure finds himself begging to that of List?" Ziev snarled, his dark hued form treading into the clearing in which they assembelled. "Draeg is a name that belongs to you, yes? You know, I have heard very much about you." A twisted humour followed his voice, though pure hatred could almost already exist between the two. Ziev managed a slight smirk. He knew why he would be here. Why else. To gather the stregnth of these innocent wolf under his name. "Though why else would you be here, hasn't Chalos' motives not been clear enough to you?" Ziev snarled slightly, glancing around at the wolf besides the Ge-Rad Dragga. The fate of Leohlic's pack would not dare belong in any other's hands.

[glow=purple,2,3,00]((Not at all, do join us Ziev))
Amber auditories flicked to her right, and for a moment Fiory almost thought her nose was decieving her. A light flicker of her ebony lips was given, though not enough to actually expose her ivory canines. That stench, she knew all too well from having inhaled it the last time she was in List's allies lands. Slowly she turned her head to that of Ziev, and those golden eyes flashed with an inner fire resembling that of Wolfbane's flames.
"Ziev...What an, Unplesent, surprise. What do we owe to this intrusion, Dear Second?" Her words were almost as regal as they were like poison. It was obvious Fiory disliked having the balkar in her territories, say for Leohlic, and now her son Orion. Quietly, her tail swayed, though this could have been mistaken for the wind's change in direction as the emaciated Drappa stood her ground against the intrusion of Ziev. For the moment, her attention was off of Draeg, and their talk of a truce between them was safly tucked away into the back of Fiory's mind. The arrival of the second of the balkar, had put an unease in Fiory's already boney spine. If Ziev was here, it was not good whatever way you looked at it. For he either was going to speak on behalf of Serg, and ask for Lists' help, ending the newly made promise to Draeg, or he was here to make mischeif in a way only a balkar could.
"Tell me Ziev, what is it that I can help you find? " Her words again were soft, even though they were filled with a concealed poison, her fur rising gently on her spine, her badly thin form moving away from the group to stand a few feet from were Ziev was now, looking him straight in the eye with as much disrespect and regal compossure as she could muster. It was both, an insult and a compliment how she held her frail self.[/glow]

Silent leapt backward as she felt Gryffin nuzzle her up. Smiling at her chuckle and her response to the plump, but also small prize she had caught the Beta. She looked to Fiory and bowed lowly, her muzzle digging into the snow as she could not bow no lower. Almost falling over again, the silver faemme saw another mouse nearby, sc urrying for covour from the snow. Golden haze glazed over it as she looked at the other varg about her. Hoping not to upset them, she turned and power built up in her back legs.
Thrusting the silver adolesent forward, her slim body streaked after the mouse, batting it with her paw, she made it fall, but it ran on. The young varg, desperate to catch it flung herself toward the small Lera, batting it again, far away this time, it failed to get up in time. The varg had already sprung upon it. Throwing it into the air and toward Fenris, the mouse died of fright once more. It crashed aganst the earth and tiny bones shattered. The adolesent once again picked it up and looked at the group of importat varg below her. Siolver body then flung itself once again down the steepish frozen slope. Slipping and sliding, not learning from her fall just before. She sprinted full belt toward them, skidding and then sending up a flurry of snow and ice, she slipped and went head over mits again. Landing infront of the Drappa Fiory, she dropped the mouse and awaited the fatal blow of jaws. She nudged the mouse closer to Fiory's paws, an offering for the drappa from the newest recruit of List.

[glow=purple,2,3,00]That agile femora would have snapped another reply towards the balkar male Ziev, if it had not been for Silent making quite the noisy little entrance. One ear flicked and she looked at the huddled snowy heap at her feet. A kind smile crossed her muzzle and she bent down momentarily to lick a pile of snow off of Silent's muzzle. The ice melted immediately, sending shivers down Fiory's boney spine, but it was of little importance to the ebony Drappa. Softly, she whispered to the new adolescent fae.
"No thank you dear...You may have this one...Well done in catching it though, that is very clever of you..." One hue blinked while the other did not, giving an encouraging wink towards the adolescent she-varg. Her tail gave another light sway, before those gold hues turned back to Ziev. She would wait for his response before attending to any other of her own pack.
Not like she wished to hear such a reply from Ziev in the first place, but it was more to snap back at him, or to tell him off..more then anything at the least.
