Ever close your eyes ever stop and listen ever feel alive and you nothing missing you don't need a reason let the day go on and on The first blizzards had berated the jutting mountain peaks, and they were now littered with snow. Winter was beginning now in earnest, and the flat meadows spreading out just below the mountains were also pact beneath many feet of white. In the shadows of the conifer forests high up on the mountains animals had fled. Some had flown or trekked south to places where winter wasn’t so harsh, while the rest hibernated. There were a few who rose to battle the season, but their will had been bent long ago when ancestors had learned to adapt to rugged climates. A human village nestled in the mountain was witnessing a slightly easier time of survival. They had stored food for the cold months and wood was piled by the side of their huts and wooden homes. The dogs in the kennels were well taken care of, and fires burned with warmth and moral. They were far more comfortable than a wolf pack that ranged across the mountain range, that had settled near a pool of now iced over water.
They had resided there for three generations, singing their songs through the forests and hunting freely over hundreds of miles of territory. They were known to the humans of the village, and were feared and hated just as much as the wolves feared and hated them. The humans guarded their flocks from the pack, and told stories of the wolves being the demons of the devil. They had pitted themselves against the creatures that stalked just outside of their heated homes. The wolves thought of man as a hunter who killed everything, who was more powerful than any other creature including themselves. Man was known as a cub killer, and they would set their dogs on them and chase them down. But each held a strange fascination for the other. For the wolves they wondered about the strange things they built with their hands, and of how they tamed the Lera around them. And fire, its licking flames fizzing and crackling, eating greedily anything it could, just like Man. Somehow they made, and maybe even controlled it. Man had something no other animal in all the forests of the whole world had, and they used it in ways uncomprehending to all else. For Man, they sometimes saw their shadowy enemies stalk silently in the darkness with glowing yellow green eyes. It chilled them and would awake hate and an urge to challenge inside them, but what did the creatures do? Their whole life was a secret to Man who above all wanted to know. So the two species lived a part, but sometimes they would clash; spear and tooth.
When they wolves of the mountain pack sent up their powerful and haunting howls, it sounded like there were twenty, maybe even thirty wolves, and the small residence of humans walked away fearfully at this idea. But there were really only a small number, and through the past they had shrunk and grown. In the beginning, the wolf pack had had two proud, fierce Alpha’s who lived for their family, and they had a silent, blue silver beta female and a large, black beta male. A slim, quick black femur along with a tall, brave femur, resided in the pack as well. There was also a cub of black. Come spring the Alpha’s had cubs, and they were raised by the pack with devotion. Soon after came the tall multicolored femurs litter of two, raised with equal fierce love. The Alpha female died, and than the other dispersed to another pack. By that time only their tri hued daughter remained, all other wolf cubs of the pack having dispersed. The tall tri hued female had taken over the pack, and soon after the two black wolves gave birth to three. Time went by until only a few remained, but strength had returned to the almost invisible pack, and the numbers were thriving once more.
Fiory and Bristol now led the List pack, and Gryffin and her mate Sudak were the loyal Beta’s. The others were all youths: Novex, Drathlic, Renn, and Silent. Than there were the cubs newly born into winters freezing grasp, a dragga and two drappa’s. They were in the den by the frozen Crimson Pool with their mother. They were the future, and settling around them like a blanket was a love as strong as death. Everything from Man to winter itself would have to wipe out the mountain pack to get to the cubs who herald the love of the pack.
A tall, lanky cub who’s had a head, ruff, back, side, and small wormy tail of dusty brown fur and whose underside, legs, and neck was white blinked in the semi light of a burrowed den. She was very tall and her long limbs awkward as she tilted her head up and stretched her neck. In an instant she had jumped up, shaking herself, and barreled into the side of a thick, multi colored pelt. It was Sora, and like her brother and sister her personality had begun to develop almost before she was weaned. She was dominant and bold, with a spark of cunning and mischief. She was very, very brave, willing to face death and beyond for her pack even though she was still young. Besides that, she was wise. Somehow she had looked to truth and found the answers. Sora harbored a temper and impatience, but she was very playful and adventurous. A bit of a rebel, she didn’t listen to her mother or father very well, determined to go through with what she wanted. Life and youth had been given to her, and she was becoming stronger everyday. She was the biggest in the litter, and she and Arias were well matched in dominance.
“Mother,” she growled, coming up besides her mother’s large muzzle. “Tell me about the Balkar one more time, I hear they kill cubs.” Sora had a way of wanting to know something for her own needs, and she wanted to know this. She knew Leohlic was her Mother’s father and had been second and than First of the Balkar. At first she had been proud, but not everything she had heard had been so good. She wanted her mother to confirm something before she set herself in her ways.
Outside the den everything was glistening white snow, and the sky was a brilliant blue. The sun shined unbearably white hot, and it was as if life had begun after the storm.
Let the rain fall down everywhere around you give into it now let the day surround you you don't need a reason let the day go on and on //Lyrics are from A Day Without Rain//

An ivory mann moved effortlessly across the frozen terrain that was List territory. He seemed to be making his way towards a crimson lake that lay shimmering in the first sunlight the lands had seen in moons. The winter storms were strong this year and showed little sign of letting up. There was no telling when the storms would return if at all. With a hare dangling from his maw Sudak made his way around the lakeside towards the den where the future of List awaited him. He poked his nose in the to find Gryffin and his three children laying about. Sora seemed to playing the game of a thousand questions with her mother again. Sora was becoming very knowledgable about the world even though she hadn't set paw outside the den as of yet. The temperatures hadn't risen enough to accomodate their currently thin coats. Sudak gave a smile then padded into the den making sure not to step on Arias and Aiyu on his way towards Gryffin where he lay by her side in a crescent shape head to head with his mate. All of the cubs were growing strong and fast. He felt so proud being the father such a fine litter and he was sure Gryffin felt the same of being the mother.
"Talkative as usual I see eh Gryff?"
Sudak questioned with a quizical look on his face.
"Sora I believe it's warming up a great deal today. Maybe you can convince your mother to let your brother, sister, and yourself out to see the world with your own eyes. Of course that is totally up to your mother."
Sudak made sure he spoke loud enough that all of the cubs could hear him and he turned to face Gryffin to hear her response. Sudak knew he would probably pay for this later, putting the decision on her. However he enjoyed paying for it. It usually got Gryff and himself out of the den together again, whether to just play or talk. He gave a chuckle and looked about to see the cubs reaction as well.

Sora turned her head as Sudak slunk through the narrow entrance of the den and squeezed into the wide whelping area where Sora and her siblings had been born along with her mother and her mother’s littermates. With a wild yip she followed bounced at her father’s feet, trying to nip his muzzle in excited greeting. When he settled next to Gryffin and let the hair down on the dirt floor of the den, she reared onto her back hind legs and bucked playfully before rolling onto her back on her father’s white paws, twisting and turning, her mouth open playfully to reveal small, sharp white canines.
The she-cub flipped back over, her blue eyes bright and her pink tongue hanging from her mouth. Only a quick flash of excitement welled up inside her at Sudak’s words. She had already been outside the den before when her parents had been off hunting, and she had romped through the snow and sniffed at all the scents. A brisk wind had scent her dashing through the reeds of the pond, and even though her pelt was very thin, her coursing blood had kept her warm. “Okay, but tell me of the Balkar first, Mother,” she growled with an impatient nod of her head.

By his siblings and mother's side, Arias was napping in the dull light of the whelping den. His nose had dried due to his sleep in the dusty den and his large, puppy broad ears flicked as particles landed so lightly it was irritable on them. The voice of his overly excited sister, Sora, caught his attentive ears, but he let it pass - for she was always tlaking and forever asking questions that he thought of it as an every day thing. However, at the mention of the Balkar, his puppy blue eyes opened with a flash and his head perked up to face his sister and mother, interest of the great all male pack grabbing him by the scruff.
The son of Gryffin and Sudak was very much a mix between the two, though far more similar to that of Sora's. As a cub, his pelt colouration had not defined itself as of yet, however, with time it would grow thick and noticable. For the moment his entire body was that of a light browny beige apart from his underbelly. With age, his proud muzzle will turn white, the same purity that his father's entire pelt bore. Not only his muzzle would change, but his underbelly, legs and tail would all be painted the same pure hue. The rest of him however would lighten from the brown it was now and take on the same light red that his mother bore. But of course, Arias at this age knew none of this.
Getting to his paws and stretching out his long legs, Arias was about to pad over beside his sister to hear what his mother had to say, but the ray of light that shone through the den's entrance suddenly disapeared and he turned his head round swiftly, pulling back his lips into a young snarl. But with the sight of his father coming into view, Arias barked a greeting and bounded forward to greet the ivory male, though was quickly stopped as Sora leapt in before him and lay wriggling around Sudak's paws like a dying fish on a river bank. Rolling his eyes at his sister's pathetic actions, Arias grunted and looked back to Gryffin, a hidden fire burning in his eyes. "Go on mother, tell us about the Balkar," he grinned wildly, his wriggly tail wagging furiously at the thought. He could play later, this was far more interesting.

Like her brother Arias Aiyu had been dozing peacefully by her mother’s side when she had been awaken from her slumber by the sounds of Sora’s seemingly never-ending stream of questions. She had always been the most inquisitive of the three and sometimes it seemed as though she would never be satisfied with herself until she had the answer to every question ever conceived, Sora was also very headstrong and because of this she often found herself at odds with both her parents. Pinning her ears in an attempt to block out the sounds of Sora’s voice so that she could go back to sleep, lifting her head with a groan when she realized that it was no use Aiyu turned her attention over to her sister to learn what was it today that Sora wish to know. Beside her Aiyu could feel Arias stirring slightly at her side as he continued to ignore Sora and return to sleep, however upon hearing mention of the Balkar he quickly shook away the symptoms of sleep from his body and turned to listen.
Although was Arias not as energetic as Sora the ruddy pup was still every bit as bold as his sister, causing the two quarrel constantly and compete for dominance. Arias also held a strange fascination for the Balkar and loved hearing stories about the pack in which List’s shared its roots, their grandfather was a legend amongst the free varg of Transylvania even during his own time and Aiyu suspected that Arias aspired to become like the legendary First. Aiyu on the other hand had always chosen to keep her feelings toward the Night Hunters strictly neutral, she had heard things about the pack that had frightened her but yet at the same time she knew how she was tied to them through her heritage and could always see how proud her mother had looked when she spoke of Leohlic and it was clear that she had been terribly fond of her father. And so Aiyu was had decided that she would both fear and respect the Balkar if only to make her mother happy, this may have been in part to her submissive nature.
In truth Aiyu was neither bold nor dominant like her two siblings, she seemed to lack any of the adventurous nature or cunning mischief that most pups her age held. Being the weakest of the litter she had low self-esteem and was very easily frightened, always preferring the company of others opposed to being alone. She tended to always remain close to at least one of her siblings at all times though she was just as comfortable being with any member of the pack. Aiyu was also very timid and rather shy around others, particularly those she wasn’t familiar with, but she was extremely playful and liked to engage in games of play with her siblings and parents. Like her siblings she resembled both her parents in many ways though her features seemed to lean more towards her father rather than her mother unlike her siblings. At the moment her pelt was thin and its coloration a soft powdery gray-white, however it would thicken in time and her pelt would change to a sickly yellow and eventually darken to a golden-white as she matured.
Rising to her feet and taking a brief moment to stretch her stiff limbs Aiyu padded over and joined her siblings in sitting in front their mother, eagerly awaiting for the tri-hued femme to give in to their pleas and tell them about the Baklar. Arias suddenly let out a vicious snarl and Aiyu quickly jumped behind Sora, her head lowered as she cowered visibly behind her sister. However upon seeing her father appear from the shining white that lay just beyond the border of the den Aiyu ran forward to greet her sire alongside her siblings, yipping happily as she bounded over to him and began desperately trying to lick his chin. She followed him as he immediately padded over to Gryffin where lay himself down comfortably beside her, at which point Aiyu bent herself into a low crouch and pounced, landing near his tail and taking the ivory tassel in mouth before tugging away at it playfully. The young pup began hopping around excitedly upon hearing her fathers’ words, having been too afraid to venture outside of the den without her parents when Sora had done so a few suns back. But now she was ready and eager to see what she had missed and almost instantly she turned to plea with her mother. “Oh can we mother?” she whined softly, pinning her ears submissively. Sora and Arias voiced their opinion on the matter, being true to her passive nature Aiyu resigned herself to wait a while longer and made no objection to their wishes, instead deciding to beginning tugging away at her father’s tail again in an attempt to rouse him into a quick game while Gryffin went about with her lesson.

Gryffin slept peacefully in the depths of the whelping den. Her crimson ears twitched when she stirred. A puppy voice was what she heard near her ears and muzzle. Gryffin groaned and opened one eye and gazed up at a grinning Sora. "What's wrong now Sora?" Gryffin mumbled sleepily. Bu the sunlight that glistened into the den depths made Gryffin squint. Gryffin mumbled something about I'll tell you later and covered her head with both paws as she tried to fall asleep again
Gryffin then lifted her head in wonder. The beam of sunlight had been blocked and the den was ocne again pitch black with the shadows. Gryffin heard steps and she lifted her head, her emerald orbs open wide as she looked to the entrance to see a white shape padding into the den. Gryffin barked a greeting, her auburn tail wagging behind her. "Sudak!" she grinned and nodded to his statement about Sora.
But when the ivory male had mentioned goign out Gryffin gave him a look that said 'shut up'. The snowstorm had just died down the the snow would have gotten thicker. The tri hued femme watched a both Aria s and Aiyu stirred fro mtheir slumber and padded over to join Sora. Gryfin licked them both tenderly and thought for a moment. She mused a bit and sighed. "Alright, alright you win. you can go out later then" she confirmed
Gryffin smiled and licked Sora. What exactly did these pups want to know? Gryffin raised an eyebrow. "Well... if you are beign a bad pup then I'll just have to get a big bad balkar to come and eat you won't I? or maybe I shoud get Wolfbane to come down from his castle and take you away if your being bad puppies." Gryffin teased and licked them in reassurence.
"Hmm. THe balkar as you know is a great big pack living in the depths of the woods. It is dark and the clouds seem to shroud and curtain their territory. Sometimes if you enter their territory for no reason whatso ever, you won't be able to come out."
" Oh yes they kill pups its true. But if you stay clear of them they won't bother you. They are a fierce pack that believes in the cult of wolfbane. But what exactly you want to know I'm not sure. Jus do not go off wandering and trying to found out yourself." Gryffin told. She had done the same, but luckily she had her father and Tamra the First of the balkar at the time to protect her.

Grinning, Sora slid away from her father, shaking her thin pelt as she stumbled into a sitting position in front of her mother’s muzzle. Gryffin gave her lick with a large pink tongue, and she wrinkled her nose, trying to pull away. “Okay, Mother, what about the Balkar,” she growled impatiently. No one ever seemed to answer her questions fast enough, meaning she had to sit around and wait while they tediously got comfortable or droned on about information she didn’t need. Sora listened excitedly, but than gave an exasperated shake of her head. “We all know you have great connections with Wolfbane, but tell me about the Balkar,” she growled. Sora had never really believed in Tor and Fenris, Sita, and Wolfbane. They were tales to tell cubs who grew up still believing in them, meaning they worshiped the silvery orb of the moon and the burning white of the sun. Sora wasn’t sure what else there could be besides wolf gods, but she would find out the truth someday. Attentively, she listened to her mother’s voice, and slowly her brow begin to wrinkle and her eyes were looking as if she were in deep thought. She was staring fixedly at the den floor without seeing it. After a moment she looked up, still in serious thought. “Just curious,” she growled to Gryffin, and than she turned and began padding up to the mouth of the den.
“We can still go out, can’t we,” she called back, and without waiting to be summoned back, she jumped into the world. The light from the sun made the hard snow glisten brightly, and the sky was bluer than ever. Conifers rose behind the den, towering with needles of deep green, the depths of the forest lost in shadows. Their branches were laden with snow, and far ahead the tilting mountain, the forest continued until it was stopped in the face of craggy peaks that just punctured the sky. The pond in front of the den was surrounded by the tips of dead reeds and the top of bare cattail sticks. The snow around it had not yet frozen over, and the Crimson Pool was sprinkled with a fine coat of snow. One more blizzard and it would cover the thick layer of ice, and only till snow melt in spring would the surface of the pool truly be seen. The day itself seemed to have been reincarnated from times when the earth was knew. The air was filled with a fresh smell, enlivening and new. The winter was sometimes as beautiful as it was cruel, and standing amongst it all at the foot of the den, was Sora, her eyes quickly brightening and glinting with an adventurous mischief. A wild feeling of energy was growing in her stomach, and the she-cub held her breath as it grew inside of her, the world having opened before her in grace.
Raising her muzzle, a shrill howl rose from her mouth, and incredulously she grinned once more before letting herself go into the snow, running over the frozen parts and fighting in the snowdrifts, sending the powder flying with her muzzle. The Balkar were forgotten for the moment as seemingly freedom was granted to her.

The mouse never knew what hit it. The flesh beneath the thin skin was fattened and warm, Renn could almost taste the it on her tounge. Launching forward, the golden streak sprinted across the clearing, growing nearer and nearer to Old Man Mouse. Finally, its little nose twitched and it began to run, slowly darting from side to side in an attempt to confuse its attacker. Before Renn's paws had landed on the hard earth, her jaws had closed around the small body of the Lera syhe had been watching, her white canines piercing the fat flesh as she bit the life out of it. Instantly, Renn wanted to eat it, to toss it in the air and catch it in her mouth, but the few scraps of conrtol the faemme had left told her no, she had come here to hunt for Gryffin, and though it was a poor catch, it would give feed Gryffin and her offspring.
Carefully, Renn plucked the still body off the ground, her jaws as soft as a modern day labarador. Holding her head high, the golden faemme spun round and plunged forward through the undergrowth, loping toward Gryffin's Den. Already, Renn could scent the cub scent that radiated from their soft bodies and the Mother's strong scent. Sudak was their too, his scent fresh in the air. The scent of Sora was thrown away by the scent of the mouse that Renn held, and the small body blocked off part of her vision so she could not see the small cub. Pausing outside the cave, Renn drpped her catch and called into the dark depths, a wordless request to come in.

Sudak had lay by the side of Gryffin as she started her storytelling. She seemed confused but of course any shread of knowledge Sora could get her hands on seemed to appeal to her somewhat. However it didn't appeal to interests too well as she turned on her haunches and bolted for the den entrance. Sudak gave a chuckle and rose to his paws. He lowered his muzzle close to the ground in a long stretch with his eyes tightly shut. Then quickly returning ot his tall form Sudak trotted towards the entrance after his daughter. She always seemed to rush into things, as such Sudak felt the need to keep an extra sharp eye on her. There was no telling what she might do, but that was one of the joys of parenting.
The ivory mann slowly emerged from the den as Sora let out her clearly cublike howl and Sudak smiled at his beautiful daughter. She again bolted off in front of him full force into the snowbanks this time. Just like all cubs she was impatient. Sudak moved to a side of the entrance so Sora's siblings could follow along with Gryffin. As he once again lay he remained attentive to the surroundings, waiting for anything that may threaten their peaceful moment. But nothing could keep Sudak's attention from moving to his daughter who was clearly slipping over the ice that lay beneath her tiny paws. Sudak barked out to Sora
"Take it easy, the world isn't going anywhere."
his last words followed with a chuckle.

Aiyu watched Sora continued rushing their mother to begin her tail, growing more impatient than ever with each passing second. She paid no heed to her sister’s impatient nature, rolling her eyes at her sister’s eagerness to learn more about a pack that harbored solely Dragga’s. Gryffin rolled her soft pink tongue along the length of her body and Aiyu gave out a delighted whine as she arched her back in an attempt to prolong the warm feeling of safety and security she received from her mother’s touch, her own tongue shooting out from within her pale maw and catching the tri-colored emissaries muzzle as Aiyu returned her mother’s affections in full. Upon hearing Gryffin reluctantly give into her father’s suggestion she began yipping excitedly, pressing herself firmly against the tri-fur’s chest and nuzzling her furiously before pulling away and once again taking a seat alongside her siblings.
Gryffin finally began answering Sora’s question, again licking each of the pups in turn before starting though Aiyu couldn’t help but whimper at her talk of Wolfbane. The young pup feared Wolfbane even more than she did the Balkar and the very thought that her mother might actually fetch the Great Shapechanger to take them away frightened her and always prompted her to behave even when her parents weren’t around, however Sora didn’t seem to share her sisters fears and quickly brushed the comment aside as she ushered her mother to answer her question. Aiyu listened in silence as Gryffin explained the working of the Balkar, ending her lesson with a warning for them not to go looking for the Balkar’s lands. A warning in which Aiyu was more than willing to comply with. As soon as she was done Sora exited the den without some much as a second glance, leaving Aiyu staring after her as she disappeared into the light beyond edge of the den.
Being more timid than her sister Aiyu waited in the den beside her parents, letting out a soft whine as she sat waiting for their permission to go. Sudak rose to his feet with little more than a chuckle, taking a moment to stretch himself out before finally setting out after his daughter. Aiyu wobbled closely behind him, sticking close to her father and making sure to never pass him. She stopped once they reached the edge of the den, giving out a frighten whine and lowering herself down to the ground until her belly pressed against floor, her ears pinned and her thin, worm-like tail tucked tightly between her legs as she stood on the border to a new world, too afraid to venture out of the only place she had ever known.

Gryffin finished her telling and she sat on her haunches watching the reaction of Sora. Gryffin chuckled, she was a pup with attitude and a mind of her own. Gryffin watched her carefully and nodded to her reply. Gryffin's tail flickered.
can we still go out? Gryffin heard the question but before she could even reply she saw Sora spin on her heels with such speed and flew out the den. Gryffin barked at her and grumbled. Sora was already out in the open. Gryffin didn't worry too much but indeed the snow was treacherous.
The tri hued mother got up on her feet and looked to Sudak. "I think you'd better get your daughter" Gryffin chuckled and looked down at Aiyu. Nuzzling the pup she nudged her and watched as she followed Sudak out of the den. "Come on Arias, lets go" Gryffin said and nuzzled the pup and padded out the den herself.
The scents of the outside world was refreshing and truly different from the den insides. It was bright as well making Gryffin squint as she looked about for Sora.
The emissary looked and spotted the crimson lake. Gryffin cocked her head and stood starring. There in the middle of the lake was a lily. It's petals ruby in colour. The lake was still snowless in the middle and only the water near the bank was dusted with a light topping of snow.
Gryffin's emerald oculars were focused on that one lily. Her mother told her that every time someone of List dies, then one lily would bloom in that red lake. Gryffin peeled her eyes away and looked about and barked as she spotted Renn by the side of the den. "Renn" Gryffin barked and padded up to her to give her a small nuzzle. "What brings you all the way over to this side of List?" Gryffin said and tugged at her ears playfully before letting go and sitting on her haunches, her emerald eyes watching her pups at the same time.

Rising her head proudly as she met Gryffin's orbs for a few seconds, Renn proudly dropped the mouse at her friend's paws. "It's not much," The golden faemme said sheepishly, looking down at the snow. "But it was the best I could find." Retaliating to the tug of her ears, the golden faemme batted at Gryffin's muzzle with her over-sized paws, smiling as she enjoyed the Beta's company.

Listening intently to his mother's description of the Balkar, his wriggly tail wagged pleasurably as he took every word in. But of course, as she was finished, Sora merely shrugged and began to exit the den. If there was one thing Arias hated most about his overly excited sister, it was how she asked so many questions, but as soon as it was answered she was off - interested in something new. He wondered indeed, if she actually took anything she was ever told into that brain of hers. Grunting as she pranced off, their father in hot persuit, Arias peered round to see his more timid sister Aiyu slowly following the ivory male and her overly hyper sister. Glancing up as his mother got up also and padded out into the open, Arias was almost ready to jsut throw himself back onto the dirt and start sleeping again, to rebel against the actions of his siblings and parents. But the bright light which sunk into the darkness of the den intruiged his enquisitive mind too much to bare, and so, he got up in his own time and bounded out after the rest of his family, gangly legs outstretched with his wide gait.
On exiting the den he plummeted forward off it's edge and fell into the soft powedery snow, though of course, he went straight through it. Sitting up swiftly and snarling at the white substance threateningly, his fluffy hackles stood on end as he backed away, growling deeply before realising that it was nothing alive, only dead. Perking his ears and tentively putting his nose into the snow, he flicked his head up and watched as a small ball of the powder flew weightlessly above his head and landed with a muffled 'thud' back where it had come from. A broad grin began to creep across his muzzle and he looked up, watching as Sora was running around like a mad wolf and Aiyu was her usual timid self. His father, Sudak, was merely watching his children with loyal, loving eyes and their mother, Gryffin, was speaking with a strange golden pelted varg that he didn't recognise. Though she seemed no danger to them, for his mother was smiling and her tail was wagging happily.
Without disturbing either of his parents, Arias growled deeply and began to laugh as he bounded across the small clearing towards Sora, his tail held high and his legs stiff, gait long and stretched as he seemed to soar across the white landscape, paws kicking up a snow storm behind him. On reaching Sora he threw his body forward to collide with hers, pouncing playfully on his sister's back and lunged for her broad ears.

Gryffin sat still on her haunches, her emerald eyes watched as Sora started to run about as if she were caged bird, finally let free to ride i nthe winds of glory. Her gaze then traveled to see Arias snarling and snapping at the white frost. Gryffin grinned as she watched the silly puppy as he soon learnt that i was of no danger and had even began rollign about in it.
But Gryffin turned her attention back on Renn and smiled, "Thank you Renn, but aren't you hungry?" Gryffin asked with a whine. Prey was not plentiful in List for they're pack liced i nthe mountains. But during the summer their pack lands seemed to flourish the most as the prey came to the mountains for fresh air and cooler climate, not only that but to get away from the valley lands where all the other prey was. This prevented them to be fighting for the same food.
Gryffin looked to the Golden pelted she wolf and smiled. "You are getting to be a very good hunter Renn." Gryffin said her eyes linkin at the mouse that sat by her feet. "It took me forever to learn how to catch one of those. Even with Fiory's superior teaching skills." Gryffin said laughing as it began to snow once again.

Scents filled Sora’s sensitive nose as she raced as fast as she could across the frozen snow. The fresh, crisp air had given her a spurt of energy, and she began shaking it off as she went faster and faster. Air whistled past her large brown ears as her paws whizzed beneath her until she was going to fast for them. Her paws tripped through powder and she left the ground, too surprised to yelp. A second later she was buried in snow, and she struggled into a sitting position shaking it from her eyes. She came up with snow stuck to her brown fur, her white muzzle open in a grin at her own self. Shaking the snow from off her auditories, she unfolded her long limbs from beneath her body and padded off a bit before she sat down on firmer snow. Her burst of energy had been spent in the fall, and now she gazed seriously at the glittering ice under her paws, a sudden chill breeze ruffling her fur and grazing her skin with cold fingers.
Arias thought she was silly and never listened to the answers of her questions, but she did, and now she was in deep thought about the Night Hunters. They were cub killers and worshipped the cult of Wolfbane. Sora wasn’t yet sure how they worshipped him, and maybe she would ask her mother later. Now, she turned her thoughts to the pack members. She knew them all by face and scent, but she didn’t really know who they were. Still, she felt fiercely loyal to each of them, and proud to be born into the forests and ridges of List. She knew Leohlic was the first of the Balkar, that he and Shatocwnn had been the first to scent mark out the territory and that he was her mother’s father. The Balkar and List had a tie, but now Leohlic and Shatocwnn were dead, she couldn’t understand why there was a friendship at all. The Balkar were only loyal to themselves, why would they respect her pack lands anymore? And now that Leohlic had past, why should List call murderer’s their friends? She didn’t trust them, and malice flickered in her eyes. What if they turned on List now that their Leohlic was out of the way? She would fight, that’s what she would do, along with all the others to protect her home. Her head rose defiantly as she imagined if there was a fight between the two packs. Well, they would suffer before they killed her.
Sora heard her brother and turned her a head to see him come bumping into her. His strong body caught her long lanky one and she nearly fell again. He jumped along her back to nip at her flapping ears, and she pulled her head as far away as she could from him, her jaws opening in play and looking for a challenge. Summoning all the strength in her body she heaved upward and darted out from beneath him as soon as she had the chance. Snarling she lunged in an arc, her paws rising to greet him.
//And the sky...it is clear. *hides from mighty Gryffin*//
