[glow=blue,2,300]Ebony pistions powered the young varg onward. He trotted towards the meeting place of his pack, wondering who, if anyone was going to be there. The frame of a young adult slowly worked it's way out from puppy fur and teeth. His muscles rippled under the black fur, which grew sleeker by the day. His eyes were like pools of liquid gold, a single black orb floating in them.
As Orion reached the meeting place, he tilted his shadow hued head back, pinning his auds against his skull, and he gave a loud call. The first tinges of deepening came to it, making it sound more adult, older somehow. Orion barely recognized his own voice, as the dulcet tones faded into silence. He waited for another to come, to meet him, to talk, to give his young mind someone to speak too.
(Just a thread for the all of you to post in. Trying to get the pack even more active! ^_^ ) [/glow]

[glow=purple,9,000]Silent like the shadows that had plagued the List boundries, she came. Not a breeze stirred, nor a branch rustled. Toward the meeting meadow she walked, shadows clinging to all but her amber gold auditories. A howl. Quiet at first, and high pitched but it had begun to deepen as time kept going. Ah, her son. Such a fine male he was becoming. A varg to make a mother proud, and she knew that her mate in Tor's heavenly sky was just as proud as she was. In the center of the meeting place, where the trees parted ways to the patch of earth only touched by grass, stood proud a large boulder, slanted up to the mountains and to the sky.
A clicking of her nails gave away her pressence as Fiory raised her agile black form atop the steadfast rock, looking down over the edge at her growing son. Slowly, with a flop of lazyness it seemed, she layed down, her front paws crossing over the edge of the boulder and her tail swishing back and forth behind her.
"Yes? My young ebony shadow?" She asked, her voice soft and supple to his ears, while a certain curiousity and kindess only a mother could concoct streamed forth aswell.[/glow]

](dont worry im still here ^^)
The scent of pring wafted in the air. Of delicate blossoms and fresh shoots and grass that sprouted for the herla's liking. Deep within the valley a young wolf trekked. Her tail set at a low level and her head bent low as her muzzle poked here and there. Ears pointed straight and erect as they twitched every so often to pick up random sounds that echoed past her, Her thing summer coat shimmered as the sunlight hit it and the muscles underneath her pelt rippled as she walked. Her pads hitting the forest floor first aiding the varg to have a silenced pace.
The tri coloured she wolf stopped. Head turned slightly to the right as she picked up on something. Tail swished to the right and curled with curiosity. Gryffin growled and took off at a fast pace. Backlegs outstretched after everytime they hit the forest floor to give her motion The wolf zigzagged her pink fleshy tongue hanging out slightly between her ebon lips. One more thrust forward and she let erself glide through the air as her fron paws began to stretch forward and come closer and closer still to the ground and in one flash she hit the ground. GRowling her canine ivories gleamed but as the she wolf looekd around frantically she sighed in dissapointment as she watched a brown rabbit skitter away.
Gryffin sighed and panted hard, tail flickering as she licked her dried lips. Gettign up fro mthe dusty forest floor she began to make for the creek when she heard voices. Ears prickling she padded forwards and linched as she saw two forms, both of ebon. Though not entirley shocked but surprised that she had not detected them beforehand.
Gryffin let out a yip to expose her presence and began to pad forward towards the mother and son. Gryffin dipped her head in respec to Fiory and pranced upto Orion and giving him a big teasing lick on the cheek. She then sat a feet away and waited her tai curled neatly as she panted faintly. "Aunt Fiory what are you doing today and here?"

[glow=violet,9,000]The mighty, benign trunks of the wise spruces towered up through the dim forest, spreading out their long branches of sharp green needles, pine cones heavily laden throughout the trees. On the ground floor lay the debris and few bushes grew in these proud mountains. Blue jays screeched and flapped at the chattering squirrels and the speedy chipmunks, trying to jump on their furry bodies and peck out their beady eyes. Unabashed they teased and pranced, fleeting through the branches at a jumpy skitter. They would grab at young baby pine cones or pull out the seeds and dash away to store it. Finches and other birds sang and twittered, ignoring the feud going on around them. Everything else was quiet and peaceful, just like a spring day should be.
The sun shone through the pines and lit the forest with a low, hazy gold stream of sun shine, leaving the shadows be so that they could sleep around the light and the floating dust. It was warm and pleasant, a day the land beyond the forest hadn’t witnessed in a long time. A young cub, small and healthy, stumbled through List with a look of deep concentration on her pointy face. She barely seemed to know where she was going, let alone how to walk as she stumbled over her own legs and tripped over pine cones. A frustrated look was in her yellow eyes, and her slick black ears were almost pinned to her head. She came to a stop in front of a large, old spruce and sat down on the pines, the sun caressing her black pelt.
“The birds twitter, The chipmunks jitter, And the…the…Oh Tor! How am I supposed to learn this silly cub song let alone all the stories ever told to the Varg!” she whined helplessly, squeezing her eyes shut in anger. Denisha had been very worried and tense since Bila had died and Fiory became Drappa. She was afraid of Koran and Deor, and any other possible threat that could harm her home and family. Her Mother loved stories, and so had Bila, and one of Bila’s favorite things to say was: “The stories will protect you, so learn them well or you won’t know the sun from the moon!” She had always loved Bila, admired her courage and her strong voice, and from the start she had always been intent to be a storyteller like the two she most admired. But when Bila was killed and Fiory took over List, Denisha felt she had to know the stories to keep herself safe, so someday she wouldn’t be wandering when something life threatening happened and she had to act fast. She had set out in earnest to learn everything: fairy tales, folk lore, history, songs, tales, hymns, morals, fantasies, everything, but she couldn’t even remember this one simple song. Despondently she let her face droop onto her chest as she stared at the ground.
Something shrill pierced through the forest and her head shot up as her ears swiveled so that she could hear well. Concentrating on the noise, she recognized her brother. He was calling that thrilling song of the wild. It opened up excitement in Denisha and she forgot all about her stress, something that was very hard for her usually. She jumped to her feet and let out a quick, shrill howl of her own and began to sprint through the trees. She was slow, not athletic at all, but she made it to the clearing and smiled a small, delicate smile. [/glow]

Sudak had once again been stalking the List boundaries when he heard the howl of one of the cubs. It had a strong voice to it and he smiled. "Ahh must be Orion." The little cub was growing fast and he could see the strength that he himself had as a cub in the little one. He started off in the direction of the young voice and arrived to see many of the list varg already there. What could this be about? He saw Orion sitting in the center. He was right, the cub was growing into a strong young varg.

[glow=purple,9,000]((Tis Fiory, I'm just being lazy... )) Amber gold auditories flicked neatly, as more vargs gathered to Orion's call. Her ebony maw smiled seeing all of their well faces, and her tail gave a lazy wag behind her. Her golden optics glistened like stars as she looked from her ebony shadow, to her neice Gryffin, listening to her question. "I am unsure my dear, I am here today only because I heard the call of a mighty young male in our midst and was unsure of who it was." She said softly, giving a wink to her son. Yes, she knew it had been Orion's call, though that did not stop her from being a proud mother and giving her son a bit of an ego. After all, mother's like to boast slightly about their offspring, why shouldn't she every now and again? Her happy hues looked on as her smallest star, Denisha also entered the clearing, as well as Sudak. Her tail lightly thumped the boulder she layed upon watching them all come to her son's call. He was growing up finely, and was a son a mother could be proud of. Denisha was just the same. She wasn't athletic, more or less and she wasn't even very tall being the runt of Fiory's three cub litter, but she was still a beauty all her own. All of Fiory's children made her proud, for they were growing up and beginning life in new and unexpected ways. "Perhaps we are all here, because Orion has something he would like to say?" She prodded, looking fondly at her only son and poking her nose foreward, as if prodding him without touching him to speak. Though while she awaited words to form in his maw, she thought silently to herself in the back of her mind.. There are only two of three here...where is Shatila?[/glow]

Gryffin looekd up and swung her head around. Eerald orbs caught sight of the growing Denisha. Tail wagged and the tri hued fae trotted over giving a playful bark and tapping Denisha on the nose lightly. Growling lightly and playfully she advanced to nip at her ears when she caught sight of another varg. Turnign her attention away from Denisha she saw Sudak. The male varg padding towards them. Gryffin cocked her head for Fenris's warm rays reflected of of Sudak's shimmering ivory caot makign him seem as if he were glowing. THough it were a spectacle of awe Gryffin couldn't help but laugh.
Tassel swished delightedly and the femmora gave Denisha a big lick on the cheek before yipping and yappping anf running towards Sudak as he too reached the clearing. Gryffin barked a greeting and licked him on his cheek before prancing about and finally returnign to her spot near Fiory. Soon it seemed everyone in List were arriving. Gryffin waited and waited but it seemed that that were all the vargs to come. Gryffin grew impatient for she was waiting for... then the fae fell silent as she remembered. Lightly she droopped her head and gazed at her paws. Lyft was there no more.
Gryffin breathed in deeply and focused on turning her attention elsewhere. She looekd to Fiory and saw that the drappa was scanning the area. Gryffin too did the same, though she could not read minds she predicted on what ran on inside Fiory. Shatila. She was missing. Worry struck Gryffin like a dart. Where was the young she varg? Gryffi nturned to Fiory, "Don't worry she'll be here." Gryffi nspoke gently to her aunt, though inturn she wondered herself.

[glow=purple,9,000]"I dearly hope you speak truthfully my dear neice...I dearly hope so.....It has been such a long while it seems since I've seen my stong young nebula....." Fiory whispered gently just loud enough for Gryffin nearby to hear, though her golden orbs did not look at her Beta at all.
Since there were so few of List, Fiory had found theat Gryffin, the daughter of Shatocwnn should be her trusted Beta. Sudak was next upon her list to own the high rank of Beta within List, Fiory was just waiting for the right moment to tell him. He had shown great loyalty to List so far, in the recent tradgedies that plagued list's boarders and still remained loyal to all of Fiory and the recently deceased co-drappa Lyft's decisions. Never did he fuss, nor did he refuse, so she felt it necassary to raise his rank. He deserved it after all as well as Gryffin.
Her golden hues looked on at the dwindling pack and for the first time, Fiory realized that there should be some kind of recruiting going on now. She was unsure who should be allowed in, and who was not to be, but she wished with all her heart for new faces. She loved her family, and wanted the best for them, but in wanting the best for them, she wished to improve their numbers. So far, List was still the smallest, even with the new additions of her three cubs, then any other pack. If another pack were to decide that List's territory was something they wished for, there would not be a very strong wall for them to go through to get it. This was a fact, Fiory did not like to think about.....[/glow]

An ebony pelt padded softly between the large forest trees, the overwhelming desire for vaguely amiable company driving him in this direction. So many moons living amongst a pack, however surly they might have been, had made the former first soft, prey to the Kerl's worst enemy. Lonliness. Ofcourse, he'd met the occasional wolf along the way, ones that didn't recognise him for the Balkar he once was, and thus did not display outright aggression. But, they had been few, and their affection for one another brief.
With a heavy heart he approached the List territory, knowing much had changed since last he'd visited. For one, Bila no longer led them, having died just after he'd left the Balkar. Whispers on the wind told him that many of the wolves that once made up the pack had since left, both the family and the mortal plane of existance. Though he had made a brief acquaintence with Fiory through his dealings with the pack, he was unsure of her view towards him, and thus found it nigh impossible to relax as he once could have while prowling the skirts of their territory.

[glow=violet,9,000]Denisha did not meet her brother’s eyes as she slunk quietly by him. She was too submissive, thoughtful, and bashful to try and make him wrestle or chase her by looking him straight on. Instead she crouched low to the ground, the shadow of the boulder covering almost half of her body and then sprung with the feeling of thrill many cubs got when they used their bodies in new, impressive ways. But her thrill contained more fear as for only seconds she throttled to the air. She wanted to land right on the rock without getting hurt, she wanted to do it slowly, to be sure of what she was doing: but it was too late now, and her front forepaws made it onto a slanting part while her back forepaws started to slip downwards. She scrambled for a heartbeat, fear clouding her mind as it always did when she was doing something to fast to stop herself and didn’t know what was happening. Panting with terrified eyes, her feet placed firmly on the top of the rock, she snuggled close to her Mother’s warm fur, taking comfort in knowing that the Varg beside her could always be depended on and would never do anything she couldn’t understand. Denisha liked to understand everything so she could be safe from harm; she never wanted to be in danger, she wanted everything to be happy and the same.
Embarrassed she buried her head in her Mother’s warm fur, refusing to look at her brother or the gentle figure she relied on. She didn’t want to see Orion, smirking at her and gloating at his own triumphs, or Gryffin pretending not to notice or tell her some story of how she had been a very clumsy cub , or Fiory gazing at her with sympathetic eyes and caressing her with a soft tongue because she couldn’t do anything brave. The turn of heads and light footsteps made her withdraw her muzzle as she peered at the white Sudak shyly. Denisha was always shy no matter how much she trusted and loved her family. She was just afraid of something she didn’t understand.
Denisha let Gryffin nip at her ears, feeling a prickle of play inch up her back. With open jaws she let out a little croak and batted softly at her friend’s muzzle, her eyes shining shyly. When Gryffin turned to leave Denisha licked the air where she had been, missing the pelt of her “sister”. More Vargs came and went, and Denisha had something to say, but she kept quiet. [/glow]

While Sudak made his way across the clearing and Gryff gave a light lick to his cheek he let out a smile and watched her as she continued prancing about the area. He turned his head in time to see Denisha flying through the air towards a rock and land startled, then to run off to Fiory and bury her fuzzy face in the comfort of her mother. He smiled and was so glad he was part of a family, and always would be. He trotted up to Denisha and lowered his head and chest towards the ground hinting towards play. Sudak gave a smirk towards the little cub.
"Come on Denisha, bet you can't get me."
Sudak loved to play with the little cubs, it reminded him of what he could have had as a young cub and he thought he should give the happiness to his packs cubs. He didn't want them to go through what he did. Sudak then turned on his heels and ran a few feet just to turn on his heels one more time and return to the same lowered position, staring with a big smile across his maw.

Gryffin looekd up towards the blue skies of yonder. Her own emerald hues blinkign back at the abyss. Was Frenris really up there? The young she wolf thought silently to herself. He must be though, for Bila, Lyft, Bristol and her own mother were up there.
Gryffin then turned her head sideways and watched Denisha with a playful smile. Shifting her gaze she watched as Sudak urged Denisha to play, his playful antics making Gryffin chuckle quietly. Her auburn tassel began to swish as she felt her energy return nd wound up like a playful cub But something caught her attention short from playing. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw a faint shape moving. Gryffin swung her muzzle around immediatly and became alert. She scented the air and it smelt of a wolf that had coem from outside of the borders. THough Gryffin could recognize it somewhat.
The tri coloured she varg turned herself around and padded a few paces forwards, her head cocked. She did not see a varg and so confusion emerged. Gryffin frowned and waited more. Somewhat hoping that the wolf she scented would appear from the bushes anytime now.
(I dont know where you are Tamra, are you in the clearing or still outside the borders? I'll just wait for your next post ^^)

(Ack, sorry I didn't make that clearer in my post! Erm...I was on the outskirts of the territory, but have now toddled along to join you lot ) Strange, thought the ebony varg, none have challenged my presence. Casting a furtive glance around the concealing vegetation, his brow furrowed in perplexed confusion, unsure whether they stalked him, or were simply not there. His instincts told him that so far he was unnoticed, but age was ailing his once uncanny abilities, and therefore the former First refused to rely so heavily upon their interpretations.
Flicking an ear as the audible snap of a twig resonated through his mind, he felt mild annoyance grow from deep within. It was not an annoyance of the lack of sentries positioned around the border, for he knew family packs, particularly those more feared than others like this one in particular, felt no need for such things, and that it was only his Balkar background that insisted upon it. No, his annoyance was that his already fatigued body must continue further into the territory, to seek the Drappa's permission to enter.
None the less, his paws continued their silent plod, occasionally rustling the brittle undergrowth. A sudden indignant shriek of a ground dwelling bird made him freeze momentarily, shaken by the harsh sound after months of noise dampened by the heavy snow. No doubt whoever lay ahead of him would know of his presence by now, he mused, shaking the idle thoughts from his scarred head.
They were close, Tamra guaged, raising his head slightly and flaring his maw as he inhaled their scent deeply. The ensuing thought process spoke volumes of those ahead, though much of the information was muddled as he sought to pick out the important information. Fiory was present, he knew, recognising her scent as the same that marked the border. He detected the bloodkin of Leohlic there too, though that could have belonged to one of four. Several others, unfamiliar to Tamra, were also gathered.
He emerged unceremoniously as Gryffin took a pace forward. Smiling as he recognised her, he halted.
"Tor's Tail!" he breathed, "You've definitely grown since last I saw you!" The fond memories of Gryffin boldly striding into the midst of Balkar lands to seek her father sprang to mind, though he found it hard to imagine that this she-wolf before him was the same playful pup he'd once known.

Sudak turned his attention to Gryffin to see her staring into the brush behind him. He turned on his stilts to find Tamra emerging from the brush. He hadn't met him for a long time. //can't remember if you were at the battle with the other packs or not Tamra.// Sudak rose to his paws and stood there proudly wondering why the former first of the Balkar would be here. He hadn't known him before he had wandered outside of the List boundaries with Bila and the rest of the pack.
Sudak now took his glare back to Gryffin in a questioning look and then back to Fiory. Waiting for his Drappa's response he stood there, waiting.

Gryffin tilted her head, one of her ears flopping to the side. And just when she was unsuspectin it there a ebon figure appeared. Gryffin looekd up a smile on her lips as she looked on with shock and joy. The great Tamra was here, her uncle Gryffin padded upto him her tassle wagging with great force as she recognized the features of his face. "Tamra!"
Gryffin yipped as she pranced upto him. Gryffin nuzzled the previous First and welcome with yips and yaps ones that would have made Tamra tear her into pieces if she were not his niece. It had been such a long time since she had last seen Tamra. At the words of Tamra Gryffin sa herself down and straightened her self up trying to look sphiisticated.
The tri coloured femme felt as if she had been thrown back into time and she acted if not more or less, like a pup. She growled her tassle wagging and she nuzzled Tamra. Gryffin chuckled and sat down a couple of feet away from her uncle.
"Of course I've grown uncle Tamra!" Gryffin mused. Though she had grown it seemed as if Gryffin would never lose her puppish attitude towards life. She tilted her head as she remembered when she had been scolded for entering the balkar territory on her own to search for her father and brothers. Bu then she rememebered her father.
Gryffin looekd upto Tamra, "How is Father? And perhap you've heard word of Baleful or Fernlick?" Gryffin asked, looking up hopefully. Her father Leohlic was now the First of the balkar. She smiled at that.
Gryffin looekd around the clearing to the other wolves but noticed sudak's confused stare. Gryffin barked, "Oh, Sudak this is y uncle Tamra, eerr if you had not already known. He's here because...because.."Gryffin said with a lopsided smile. She then raised her eyebrow and stood still for a moment pausing then she frowned, her forehead wrinkling. "Yah why are you here unlce Tamra?" Gryffin asked. The tri hued fae looked up ith big round emerald eyes and smiled, "Does this mean you'lll stay in List!"Gryffin barked.
She had missed him and it had seem so long since she had last seen him and not to mention her father aswell. She then looked to Fiory wondering what she had to say about Tamra's visit.
