[glow=purple,9,000]As long as the story is in one post I'm fine with the length. It can be a short story, or a long one. I'm looking for quality, not quanity. But I suppose, if you want word limits, I'll say........no more then what a 30 page word document would hold... That gives you a bit of leway I guess. [/glow]

I felt bored, so I decided to write this. It is for Pic 1. And it's really uhm... depressive. *blush* I'm so ... strange =) Heh. Anyway, Here it is....[glow=black,2,300] The sun is never shining. The moon is always full. I always feel like my heart is ready, Ready to tumble and fall, I feel like I've lost my love, My heart, my soul, my mind, My passage through the darkness, Has become so cold, and unkind.
These words were endless. A constant echo in the mind of the beast. Her world was filled with complete darkness, and her eyes showed her pain. A poisonous glitter of green was the only sign of her presence, as she lingered in the shadows, her mind filled with the past. Sighing sadly, she laid herself upon muddy earth, a ghostly aura spilling over her form from the peering moon. "It's no good," breathed the femme coldly to herself, blaming her cracked heart for all events happened. "I did nothing to change the outcome," she continued, her breaths heavy with upset. "Now, he haunts my dreams, like a plague. His fiery eyes are always watching, his form wondering through the depths of my mind. Sometimes, I even feel his body brush against mine in the night..."
Trailing off her words, she rose from the place she valued as her last step. After all, this is where it had happened. The event so deeply scarred in her memory that she would never leave this area. As tears flowed down from her orbs, she pursed her lips into a strong unemotional line. She had to be strong, if not for herself, for her family. Sabre. Damien. Tarkah. All these names meant the world, yet one was valued higher than all. Markaz. He had been the highlight of her life, the light in her darkness, the one and only.
As these thoughts floated relentlessly through the atmosphere, Demon could feel the anger bubbled. The rage filling her breaking heart. A glare placed itself thickly on her optics, a dark smile stealing her ebony maw. Looking up to the sky, a scattered aurora of stars twinkling down on her, she could hold her emotions no longer. "You said you'd never leave me!" she yelled helplessly to the emptiness. "You said you'd never go... You lied" she continued, her pain cut so deep she felt the urge to die. "You promised to stay, to be strong, to be my rock..."
As only the echoes of her words remained, she slashed her paw against a nearby tree. “Curse you," she exclaimed, tears now flowing more rapidly. Although, nobody knew of these events happening, she felt like telling the world. Not of vanity, but of honorability. Basically, in her own mind, she had written the events in gold ink.
Sitting upon her shaky haunches, she took a long gasp of air, as her body slowly came to a calm halt. Returning to the darkness of closed optics, the memory came flowing back.
"You can't leave," she screamed at her lover, his eyes boring into hers. "You can't fight, you’ll die!" Tears painted the earth. "Demon," sighed a male's voice, "I have not a choice in the matter, and it’s for the pack..." Silence followed for a few moments or so. "Curse the pack!" growled the femme angrily, "You promised me..." More silence and hesitation came. "If I could stay I would, you know that... You're my world, my inspiration..." The voice replied his tone calm and emotionless- his emotions were constantly unknown. "Markaz," breathed Demon sadly, her eyes filled with a sudden loneliness, "Stay, please..." Yet, no reply came. Instead, Markaz walked towards her. They nuzzled, whispered sweet words of love and passion. For a brief moment, Demon thought he would stay, stay as he had promised; yet her hope suddenly shattered. As fast as the words had stopped, she saw her lover approach the ledge. Realizing his intentions, she was hit like lightning with horror. "Markaz! Don't!" she begged, looking into his eyes with fear, as he watched her. He shook his head, "If I can't choose between love and honor, I'm worthless," he sighed, "I love you my sweet..." And, before Demon could make any attempts of stopping her love, his torn and tattered body lay cold upon the rocks below. His blood painting the boundaries of Koran. Demon swallowed hard, her body quaking with fear. Walking towards the ledge, she peered down. Her optics flung open with horror and upset. And, without warning, her screams flew into the air.
Shooting into reality, Demon was drenched in fear. Her body shook violently, a beyond-scared expression upon her maw. "I should have let him go..." she breezed, "I should have let him fight..." Before she could stop herself, she looked again towards the swollen moon, dawn fast approaching. This told by the streaks of pink and orange by the horizon. "I'm a walking death," she whispered to herself, scratching a cross into her paw, blood spilling over the earth. Standing, she felt the morning heat spill over her form. The scent of dew filling her nostrils. Walking slowly, a limp now in her step, she found herself atop the ledge once more. Peering down, a sensation of fault and blame seized her again. His body was torn, tattered, and his glazed optics of fire glared at her form. Without further ado, she growled painfully, "For you, my love. Now, I will join you in the grasps of Wolfbane’s fire..." Closing her optics tightly, she felt the air whip her pelt. Yet, she was not afraid of death. She never had been. And, with a last gasp of deep air, she watched the rocky bottom approach; she watched death smile as he waited to collect her soul. Shockingly quick it came; a sharp pain pierced her stomach. Her optics slammed to a watery slit, blood dripping from her maw as she drew weak breaths. The rattling sound of death took a hold of her body; her own dying corpse next to his. "Markaz..." she croaked, with her last dying breaths, "I love you..." Her breaths cut. Her heart stopped. Both lay dead upon this night.
Yet, from a distance a cruel and somewhat insane laughter rang out. "Silly wolves," muttered an icy female’s voice. Tarkah’s form melted from the shadows, her optics glittering with enjoyment of the whole event... The loss of Andre had made her insane. The fight between Phantom and Demon had made her want revenge. The secret infatuation with Markaz had made her angry. Now, she had her revenge, and now, she had no anger. With a cold, heartless smile, she turned back towards the Koran dens. Her form melted away into the shadows, yet three words lingered…
“Revenge is sweet….”
[/glow]
What do you think? And, the bit to highlight the picture is in BOLD! =)

this is for pic 2!
They told me that I could never reach the skies. THat I was grounded for life. I would never make it. LIfe was fake, all truth would instantly be turned into lies. Everything good that you worked for would be turned into dust, swept into the breeze. Well here I stand, all alone yet all around me are breathing forms, with hearts that beat twice the second. Even if I look to them, all they could do were smile. Smile? An expression meaning much, so I smiled back. But my attention was drawn back to the ice blue horizon. I closed my hazel eyes and took in a deep gulp of breath.
My eyes followed the landscape before me. I saw the trees and the brown ground below as I sat here upon the cliff edge, my sister and my brother by my side. But they paid no heed to what I wanted. I could only keep my eyes onto the cloudless heavens and starred in awe. Hopw well it would be to be able to soar through the skies. I thought. "What are you thinking about now Kai?" I turned around to see Rekan, my ivory brother ask. I turned my gaze to see my sister Kiana reply for me, "Probably thinking up some silly plan"
They had both giggled. I felt myself turn red with embarressment and quickly swung my muzzle away from them, hiding my expression. I felt anger bubble inside me as I suddenly felt Rekan nuzzle me and say. "Hey bro, look I'm sorry kay. But really what are you thinking about? Lookign up at the sky for like the whole morning." I was almost too shy to reply with the truth but i said it anyway, but so quiet that I didn't even know if Rekan could hear. "I-I-I want to fly" I said timidly and looekd up at Rekan to see him frowning but then I saw Kiana laughing, "Don't be silly Kai! You can't fly! You'll never fly! Its hopeless!"
I sat there, I wanted to cry to scream at them but it only got worse for now Rekan had started to snort. I wanted to lunge at them but i held back, hurt. I looked from Rekan to Kiana and growled, "Shut up!" I cried clearly shocking them to silence with the suddence anger and loudness in my voice. "You don't know anything! You're Hopeless!" I cried and I ran, ran from them in a blind rage. I tore from the forests as I felt the branches whip me on my muzzle. It stung. Well i think it stung for I hardly felt it as i ran. I bounded for a while longer before I stopped and fell to the floor out of exhaustion. I panted and I cried, I felt worthless. Maybe I was hopeless. I burried my muzzle under my large white paws but soon I looked up. I heard somthing above me. I shuddered but looked up to see a large bird fly above the canopy. It began to fly away though. I did not know what came over me at that very second. But I found myself tearing after it. Howling and shaking my muzzle. I ran after it as the forest started to dissapear and fade into a wide meadow, of poppies and lush, green and blonde grass. I panted as I looekd up. THe sun's glow blinded my eye for the moment as I squinted. It was the largest bird that I had ever seen. It was a bright gold and under the sunlight it was as if it were on fire. I howled to it. Awed at the very sight. I smiled and whispered, "I want to fly, just like that" To my luck though, the eagle had dipped its massive wings and landed on the tree stump that lay ahead.
I howled to it and galloped at great speeds over to it making the eagle eye me coldly. "What do you want?" it had spat. I whined sadly flinching. "Uhh," I was speechless. Great I thought. So I came up with somthing less then clever. "I saw you err flying. And I like it" I saw the look on the eagles face as he eyed my as if were just another stupid pup. My head fell and began to turn, to walk away. Better walk now before he laughs at me too. But just when I padded a few steps away I heard his call. It was a high pitched screech but I turned anyway. It was calling to me "Hey wolf" he had said, "So you admire my flying?" I nodded and watched as the eagle put on a grin. "Now why would that be? Many a wolflings I come upon just eye me as another one of those birds" I blinked, suddenly lost without anything to reply. I want to fly! I want to fly! I heard myself saying. I opened my mouth and I let it roll out, I couldn't hold it in! "I want to fly" I sealed my lips now, teeth clenched tight as I looked to the eagle. It looked wih a surprised look. "I see...So you want to fly eh?" I nodded once more. I waited, waited some more but he didnt laugh!
Let me tear through the skies I just want to fly Let time pass me by Let me give it a try I just want to fly Eagles perspective So this scrawny pup wants to fly?I smiled, it was not everyday that this happens now is it? I became curios so I started a conversation up, perhaps I could pry out more information on this pup. "Well I'm Sykes, and you are little wolf?" I nodded as he replied. "Kai, a good name" I complimented. I ruffled my feathers as if pointing out that he needed these to be able to fly. I watched as he eyed them, hungrily? I knew he wanted these. I then realized. This kid was serious. "Ahem" I said catchign hsi attention. "Now explain to me, why do you want to fly? Your fine on firm ground" I had said casually but I saw the hurt expression in his eyes and i sighed. "Well?" "You see Sykes sir, I don't want to stay on this ground. I want to be free, free in the skies!" I starred wide eyed. Free in the skies? Was there really a difference? I zonded out for the moment thinking when I felt a cold wet nose poke me. I screeched jumpign and pecked him hard on the nose. makign him shrink and whining. "Oh dear I'm sorry" I tried to comfort him. He looked up at me teary eyed. I cawed, "Is there anything I could do?" I asked, but I sort of regret saying this for his eyes suddenly snapped and were wider then the sun in the sky. "Can you teach me how to fly!?" I flinched nearly fallign of the tree stump. I ruffled my feathers and blinked but recollected myself and perked eyeign the ivory Kai. "Well... no Kai. I'm sorry I can't" I said and i winced as I saw his sour face and sadness in his eyes. "Oh, okay then" I watched as he turned and walked away briskly. I wanted to call him back, but I endd up only watchign him dissapear quietly.
By afternoon I had not seen anymroe of Kai but as if I had said too much there I saw three ivory pups in a clearing. I swooped low and landed on a branch within earshot to hear what the pups were conversing for I had recognized one of them, Kai.
"Whered yah go?" Rekan had said with worry "No where" Kai had answered with a grudge "Look Kai we're sorry!" Kiana licked his muzzle "You always say that."Kai lashed back making Kiana angered "Well I'm sprry for being sorry!" she said and turned her muzzle away from him. Rekan nuzzled Kai, "Look this time we are serious!" "Forget it Rekan!" Kiana growled, "He doesnt want us! all he wants to do is fly!" Kai growled, "You don't understand! You know nothing!" Kiana snarled now, "You'll NEVER ever fly! and I hope you dont!" she said and stormed off.
I shook my head. "Poor kid" I perched there as I saw next the wolf, Rekan, walk away after Kiana and son after Kai went. I made up my mind. I would teach him. But I laughed. "Teach a wolf to fly? How in Tor?" But then an excellent idea came upon me. In oen leap I jumped into the skies and soared after the depressed Kai.
I found him later padding slowly by the low rolling hills. I screeched catching his attention. I swooped and landed infront of him. I gawked, it felt so unnatural standing in the grasses. I looekd up to Kai, "I will teach you"
"What?" he replied. I hung my head. "To fly kid!" I said and I saw his face brighten up. "You will!" I nodded. "Oh yes! thank you Sykes" I smiled and turned, "Follow me" I instructed him as he followed. I took him to a tree, covered in pink and white blossoms. I eyed them and picked one fro mthe tree and moved it about in my beak and then I forced myself to swallow. I gagged but tried to hide it. "What are you doing?" Kai had asked. Yes just the question I thought. "Well this here flower helps you to fly, watch this" I lied and I rocketed skywards, doign barrel rolls, and flips, Diving here and there and then doing right turns and banked summersaults. I landed seconds after to witness the awed and amazed look on the pup. I smiled, "Here eat one or two" I said and plucked two flowers and dropped them by the pups feet and watched patiently as Kai swallowed it in a gulp, smackign his lips at the distaste it brought. I held in a chuckle but snapped out of it. There was work to be done. I turned and picked out a feather from my wing. It was loose and was bound to fall at any given time. I plucked it out and flew down to Kai and neatly stuck the end of the feather behind his ear. I then flew back to my perch and eyed the feather sticking out handsomely from his mane. "Perfect, now You are ready" I said and took to flight. "Now close your eyes!" I said more harshly this time. "Close my eyes?" he asked. "YES!" Kai did what he was told. I tapped him softly with my wing and flew infront of him. "Now run! Run as fast as you can and let yourself be picked up by the wind! Then you will surely fly! But I warn you Kai, do not open your eyes, or you will fall to your death fro mthe skies!" I saw Kai nod and I fel a guitly pinch in the pit of my stomach. "Now run! GO!" I screeched as watched as he tore off.

Kai's Perspective I did what I was told from my teacher. And in the first second I felt the air hit me crazily. Te current was strong as I ran. faster my paws took me faster i ran. I didn't know where I was even going, everythign was black. But I was guided my Sykes words beside me. "NOw LEap!" I heard him say. I ran faster and let my strides become longer as I ran, I could hardly feel the ground beneath me now. Wait? Was I flying? I did not dare open my eyes. But I felt it. I felt the air underneath my belly. It lifted me. But my paws kept on moving. They felt like wings to me. If they stopped I would plummet fro mthe skies I thought. I felt the wind again, lifting me. It felt wonderful. If only Kiana and Rekan were here to see me now! I was flying! I threw my muzzle up and howled. "I'm Flying Sykes! I'm actually Flying!" I screamed. THis was what the bird felt. It felt so free. I was like in another world. Why wasnt my world like this? And then I heard Sykes cry, "Open your eyes!" I yelped!" What? Why?! I'll fall from the sky! I dont want to die!" I cried but heard the roar of Sykes, "oPEN THEM NOW! I did and gasped as my legs tangled and I fell, flat on my face onto the grasses. I didn't mve, I could not move. So it was all just a lie. I was not flying. Sykes had fooled me. I heard Sykes coming, I heard him land beside me. But I didn't want to look at him now. "You tricked me." I whined. "I actually thought I was flying. Why? Why did you lie?" I looekd up at the eagle.
"To show you kid." I growled, "To show me what?! To show me that I am really a fool? Just another hopeless kid!?" I roared.
"No Kai. You were actually flying. It felt like flying didn't it?" I nodded. "Well there! You see Kai. Thats all you need. Is belief! Do you really think that to be able to live, to be happy you need to fly?" I shrugged. I looekd up, "What are you tryign to show me?"
Sykes smiled, "So you are bright I see. I did that to show you that not everything that is so is so." I became confused, "What?" Sykes smiled, "A smile is not always just a smile. A Tear is not always just a tear. Do you understand? Which means. To fly, is not always being able to soar through clouds." I looked up at him, sitting on my haunches. "You mean when I thought I was flying? I was actually flying?" Sykes nodded. "Yes, you have your heart set in the right place kid."
I nodded,I saw a new perspective to life now. "Not everything that is so is so" I looekd up to Sykes, "Lets go fly" I said and Sykes nodded. We both tore. The eagle screeching as I followed after him in pursuit. We raced under the sun as I howled. Flying? Why thats where I was, soaring through the clouds. My paws danced under me as I looekd surprised to see Kiana and Renak nearby watching me, But I also saw the awe in their eyes.
I stopped to greet them. Kiana barked" What are you doing Kai?" I smiled at her, "Flying" Renak growl-whined, "You can fly?"
I laughed "No I can't" Kiana barked. "What? I don't understand" I eyed her and it was my turn to laugh, "Kiana, not everything that is so is so." I said and then I leapt away, leaving them to drown in confusion forthe time being. Right now I was busy. flying.

This is a story based on the second picture.
Cara had always been the boldest of the litter. When their eyes were still closed and their paws clashed blindly as the snouted out their mother's milk Cara was always on top of the others, always the one to get the milk first. She had the confidence the others lacked. She was the first born, the strongest, the dominant one of the litter. If there was ever any trouble, she was always at the bottom of it. When their little eyes opened and they learnt to walk, lifting their oversized heads high as they stumbled to and fro, their eyes unused to judging distances. They would lift paws high as they walked and then trip, stubbing their tender noses and then sitting back on their haunches crying for their mother. An affectionate lick and a nudge always sent them exlporing once more. Cara was the first to learn to growl, her throat working spasmodically to produce a weak rasping noise. She learnt first to tug her sibling's ears and how to trip them with a paw. It was obvious from the start she would always be in charge amongst those five.
The morning dawned bright and clear, the air crisp, almost crackling with freshness. The dawn chorus echoed across the forest, birds trilling to each other, one singing and another trying to outdo his neighbour with a yet more beautiful song. The occasional cloud scudded across the sky, pushed effortlessly by a gentle breeze that whirled and danced across the forest floor, grabbing a stray autumnal leaf, lifting it high in the air. It would waltz across the clearing with its companion and then, finding a more interesting play companion the leaf was dropped and the wind moved on, slipping between branches, heading towards the den and bringing with it delicious scents.
Cara peaked out of the entrance of the small cave, grinning to herself as the breeze ruffled her creamy pelt. She stepped right out, holding her head high, letting the breeze buffet her small body. The pups had reached that point in life where their bodies had caught up with the size of their heads. Their paws were too big now, their legs a little too short perhaps, giving them the adorable appearance that all pups have. Three other noses peaked out behind Cara, and slowly they padded out behind her. She glanced dismissively at her two brothers and the sister beside them and then looked back at the forest.
A sudden urge to prove herself the dominant again overcame Cara, a sense of curiosity and mischief filling her. She stared out at the powerful trees and then turned back to her. "I bet you I can get to the top of that tree." The other three burst out laughing, shaking their heads, "Dont be an idiot Cara, we cant climb trees, we're not designed too. Thats what squirrels do." Cara snorted and shook her head, "If a squirrel can do it so can I." She strutted away from the others, tail and head held high and confident. The others stared but they didnt move to stop her. They would all enjoy watching her be wrong, watching her make a fool of herself. She was a bit of a bully but it never occured to the others that they outnumbered her four to one. They just accepted she was the dominant and let her push them around when she chose. That was life wasn't it?
She stared up at the tree and the brashness of her claim suddenly loomed in her mind. How was she ever going to climb such a monster. The thing was huge, too huge to even contemplate. She sat, staring up at it, her mind working in over time as she tried to work it out. She never saw the shadow swooping down until it was too late. With a slight flutter of feathers the eagle clasped the small body in its talons and took off again. Cara cried piteously, the pain far more than anything she had ever experienced. The eagle didn't fly far though, he swept upwards and landed in the tree. Cara felt herself smile slowly as she turned to stare back towards the den, to look at three of her four siblings staring in horror at what they had just seen. Her last thought was that of triumph, she was at the top of the tree!
