Silverwren walked through the forest, her head was hung in shame, she was tied and her paws seemed to be filled with lead for they were so heavy, the forest around her wa filled with the familar noises of the Koran territory, the night was about to end the sky had gone from being pitch black to grey, then soon Silverwren knew it would go pink then orange then blue,
the night was stillin its grey stage and the tree's around her seemed to posses dark evil faces, the loomed above, although she knew that it would be day soon and the time of evil would pass,
she lay down, her hunt earlier had been unsucsessful and her stomoch was growling noisily, "Tomorrow," she said, " i'll be succsessful" she shut her eyes and let sleep overpwer her and she slid into dreams.
A rabbit, plump from a full fall of gathering nuts and berries, rooted about through the snow and dead leaves near a dead log. Its small nose twitched slightly as it sniffed about for a midnight snack. It was rare for a rabbit to be out during this time of hibernation, but the disturbance from the absence of the gods must have screwed up its instinctive calendar.
It hopped about slowly, cautious in all its moves. It was prey and predators were about, as was always. But predators were especially dangerous during this time. Prey was less plentiful, being most were in hibernation, and the putnar was constantly on the hunt. Just about everything was being hunted now-a-days.
Including the rabbit.
A pair of green eyes glittered through the dark from the brush directly behind the unsuspecting hare. The eyes were widened, taking everything in with full detail, just like putnar should. Its paws needed the ground softly, feeling the earth beneath it. Its fur bristled slightly as it tensed up for its attack.
The hare stopped, and stood up as it looked around nervously. It was getting the instinctive feeling of being watched. Its whiskars twitched nervously as its dark eyes gazed about the woods. It could tell it was being hunted.
Suddenly, a monster shot out of the brush straight towards the rabbit. Its sharp teeth glittered like knives and its jaws snapped viciously as it sailed through the air.
The rabbit's heart skipped a beat as it turned and fled. But the beast's jaws gripped it tight. The rabbit squeeled, struggling, then pulled free and ran off in a split-second. It was long gone before you could even blink.
Sabla growled, spitting out a chunk of fur she received. She was disgusted with herself. She could hunt down deer, and even a moose (with some help of course), but yet she still couldn't hunt down a simple rabbit.
They're too skittish... she grumbled, kicking a bit of snow as she moved on. Maybe next time. She sighed, stumbling over the half-rotten log, and then paused, somewhat surprised.
Another varg laid sleeping not 20 feet away. It was a femme, and was a silvery-white in color. She was younger than herself, her build slightly smaller, and she seemed to have a somewhat graceful appearance to her. Sabla was pretty sure she knew who this was.
She cleared her throat, "Ahem," she said, waking the femme, "Why good evening. Silverwren, isn't it?"

Silverwre's dream was suddenly interupted with the arrival of Sabla, " hi, i was just having a rest, it's hard to catch game now-days", day time ws now i full swing and all the Lera that sleep during the dark times were waking up,
" so... have you been hunting or just gooing for a night time stoll?"she said, thinking about how much she would like to eat, looking at her silver coat and the cinnonmon/gold line that ran from her nose to her tail.
getting up, stretched, easing her sore musles from the chase of the persisstant and annoying deer, her slightly smaller and lighter build made it harder to catch game.
"Oh, I was just, uh..." her ears were slightly back, "Yeah, just taking a nighttime stroll." she finished, embarrassed about not being able to catch a simple rabbit. How pathetic.
"So, how long have you been a member in Koran? I'm sorry to say I really don't-" Sabla paused, distracted by something in the background.
A small white dot was moving slowly in the distance, the rabbit she had nearly caught. A trail of red was left behind it. A trail of blood.
She growled low, vowing to herself that she would catch and kill it. "Did you say you were trying to catch some game?" she whispered to Silverwren.
"C'mon." she said, moving around to follow the rabbit.
"I'm Sabla. Who are you?"
"Me?" he asked. "My name is Tarmalo, nice to meetch ya Sabla."
" i'v been i Koran about... well ever since i was a cub, oh yeah about the hunting i'm starving" suddenly Silverwren saw Sabla lift her nose and spot a hair, she felt her stomoch rumble hoping the noise wouldn't scare the rabbit, a dark red trail of blood was left behind it, it was wounded, yes, an easy meal" Sabla, are you going to catch it or shall it," i whispered.
(( sorry for shortness, and badness))

Sabla snickered softly as she heard Silverwren's stomach growl. "No, you can eat it, but I wanna help catch it." Sabla trembled slightly from excitement as the rabbit tripped and fell to the ground. "Here, I'll move upwind and flush it out your way." she whispered, and without another word she moved west to circle around.
She moved cautiously, careful that her footfalls didn't reach the hare's ears. And at an agonizingly slow pace, she finally reached the other side. She crouched low to the ground, waiting for her scent to give her away, waiting for the hare to take off in a mad dash.
But the hare never turned, it just kept hobbling towards her.
Sabla cocked her head. What in the world? she thought. Why isn't it running?! She stood up, totally exposing her rustic-hued self in clear view of her prey. It was a dead giveaway, and she could probably be seen clearly on a far mountaintop; a red speck among the white horizon.
But again, the hare seemed to miss her.
Sabla snorted, amazed it still didn't work, so she trotted off towards the rabbit. But not in an intimidating, "I'm gonna eat you" kind of way, more of a casual, "I wonder what this smells like" kind of way.
She finally reached it, the hare at her feet, and she looked it over. It wasn't dead, for its nose was still slightly twitching, and a thin stream of mist showed it was breathing.
"Hey, Silverwren!" she called, "Come look at this, I think there's something wrong with it!" Just then, as she had her head turned away to where she thought Silverwren was, the rabbit suddenly sprang to life and attacked her.
She jumped back instinctively and the rabbit missed biting her throat by inches. Eyes wide, she watched it land in the snow and turn, ready to try again.
"RUN!!!" she screamed, taking off and tearing across the terrain, with the rabid rabbit right behind her.

Silverwren spotted Sabla go to the top of the slope, she waited. her mind thinking about all the things that happened since she joined Koran, she wolves she had met, "Wait, i have to look out for the hare",she said to herself she was sure by now that the hare would have caught her scent, suddeny Sabla out herself in full view of the rabbit, which was hopppling at such a pathetic pace towards her that a snail could of caught it. Suddenly the hare stood on its hind legs and attacked Sabla, froth streamind from its mouth.
She took Sabla's advice and ran, her paws stretching out in front of her, she stopped, wheeling around to check where Sabla was.
The rabbit was gaining on her, its incisors flashing as it chomped on the powder kicked up by her. Sabla's eyes were wild with horror as she looked behind her, so she kicked it up to full speed. Sabla then caught up to Silverwren, who had also began to run, and together they outstripped the rabid rabbit as they ran through the forest.
Sabla looked behind her, making sure the rabbit was far behind them before she even thought of stopping. But the hare was gone, and she breathed a sigh of relief, slowing and then eventually stopping.
"Well," she panted, "That was something you don't see everyday." Sabla smiled, laughing shakily. For in fact she had never seen something like that. She had never seen a creature act so strange or be so bold as to attack a wolf, the greatest putnar.
"I guess all the forest has gone mad, with the gods being gone and all. You know, maybe it messed up all its instincts." she shrugged, which turned into a shudder. She just realized how close she had been to eating it. Not only on one occasion, but two. And she wondered if it could've spread to her if she did.
Her eyes widened as she imagined herself in that position, going nuts and acting against her own instincts. Fighting with the deepest laws of the Lera.
"Do you realize how close we were to eating that?" she asked, looking wide-eyed at Silverwren.
"I'm Sabla. Who are you?"
"Me?" he asked. "My name is Tarmalo, nice to meetch ya Sabla."
"maybe we should of killed it, we don't want it to spread Rabies with other Lera," she looked back towards the rabbit now long gone, "oh well i'm still hungry so do you want to look for somthing else to eat, perhaps deer?, there are alot around at the moment, perhaps we could catch one " she lay down head in paws, deep in thought.

"Maybe we should of killed it, we don't want it to spread Rabies with other Lera," Silverwren said. Sabla also looked into the hazy distance, searching for that insane rabbit. Perhaps they should hunt down and kill it, for the sake of others.
"Oh well, I'm still hungry. So do you want to look for something else to eat? Deer, perhaps? There are alot around at the moment, maybe we could catch one." She said.
Sabla nodded, agreeing with her. She was still hungry, and some herla sounded good. Maybe they could go get the rabid rabbit after a bite to eat. That sounded good.
"Yeah, let's hunt down something." Sabla turned and started trotting off down the hill. "We should probably wait for something to come to the stream to drink. That'll be faster than wandering the countryside. But be careful, the water will be more dangerous now than any other time of the year."
"alright!, i'm so hungry" she trotted off after Sabla, her tail swiging in the light breeze. she hated water bu agreed with Sabla, it would be easier, the water was fast but Silverwren was quick and she wanted somthing to eat. "Sabla, what do you think we will get to eat?"
(( i'm so sorry for the absence i've been really busy))
