New Skin ? Made by Kadin, as part of the Koran Updates. [Kadin @ 1. 26 . 07]
The sound of the wind seemed to carry through the lush green leaves of the forest, as the summer was only spawning. Soon enough Fenris would be upon then, her mighty jaws at their throats, laughing at their pitiful cries for just a little taste of water. Soon enough, the large herds of lera would be gone, driven out by famine and drought. But yet, they had time to spare. Now, however, was the temperature comfortably warm, with frequent showers to the rid the earth of it’s heat, to give the grass it’s well deserved drink, and to replenish the creeks and ponds with something other than just mountain water.
It was indeed a good natured day, and one not to be wasted, not even for a varg who liked to spend his day out of the sun. This was for good reason, and it wasn’t only because of his black coat. True, Monster did get a lot of unwanted heat because his coat just so happened to soak up the sun, but it was also because he liked to go unnoticed where ever he traveled. Monster wasn’t exactly the hardest varg to spot, either; his coat held a red pigment, mostly on his underbelly and chest. That, and it didn’t help that he was so abnormally big and built, even for his young age. Monster was also always a bit obese, mostly due to a thyroid problem he was born with.
It was true, that in just about every varg’s mind Monster was just that: a Monster. His previous pack had dubbed him Wolfbane’s son, mostly because of the odd red paw print on Monster’s left hind quarter. Still young, Monster never really had a chance to prove them wrong, but instead ran away, hoping to leave his problems behind. When that didn’t work, Monster was resorted to traveling under the cloak of the night in hopes of finding somewhere suitable to sleep the day away.
It was obvious that Monster had so far failed to do just that, since he was still romping around the lands of Transylvania, his fur quite unkempt giving him a permanent windy look. The last time he had almost found shelter, he had ran into a rather lively pup, one which had since put poor Monster into a negative state of mind, and didn’t usually talk whenever he could avoid it.
As the youngin’s large paws hit the earth with a ironic soft sound, his silver oculars gazed across his surroundings. Bicolor oculars swiveled to the distant trees, making Monster pause for a moment. He could have sworn he had heard someone there, perhaps gazing upon his form as he would like to gaze upon another’s; even though he often tried to avoid others, he still hated to be isolated, it just wasn’t in his nature. His hackles prickling a little, Monster regained momentum once again, his black and red tail trailing lifelessly behind him. If there was someone around him, Monster wanted to look as submissive as possible; fighting for no good reason just wasn’t in his interest. What Monster didn’t know, however, was this feeling of being watched was because he unknowingly had wondered into another pack’s territory.
((Have room for a rather obese cub? XD Ok, I am planning on having Monster join Koran, since he is a sweety, but I want to see how he gets along with others first, savy? If you want me to post in the joining now rather than later, just say so and I’ll do. And sorry if this post is a little bla, I’m getting back into Rping.))

Fenris shone brightly above, generously bestowing his golden rays upon the earth and asking nothing in return. It was a welcome change from the storms of Spring, though some days the heat was flat out unbearable, especially to those with dark peltage. This day in particular was more than tolerable, and promised to get better as the hours went by.
Mingling with the pale shadows of the trees was a more lively spectre; a wolf composed of an entirely obsidian pelt and startlingly bright amber eyes. Carrying his banner at a slight upward slope as he wandered through the territory, his high-ranking position in the pack was less than evident. The fact of the matter was he thought little of it, and would often forget that he played such an important role in the pack; especially when he was alone. Without other pack mambers present to jumpstart his memory, all rank fell away, leaving him to enjoy himself and indulge in the beauty of the Koran territory.
Though activity for the day was low, it was not to be considered a lazy day. As a light breeze drifted by, lifting the long fur of his chest and back and adding to his handsome appearance somehow, his amber orbs were roving over the picture-perfect landscape in search of any blemishes; threats that might negatively impact his home and his family. As of late he had been happy to find nothing. Being so far from the dark lands was a blessing, but the Balkar were not above over-stepping their boundaries to pay visits to packs that were out of the way. This he kept in mind as he weaved between the trees and came to stop beside a small creek.
After a cautious look around him, he craned his neck down, allowing his tongue to lap generously at the cool waters. Hydration was important during the unrelenting summer months, especially for a warrior who needed to keep his strength up. Pointed auds swiveled periodically to bring in the sounds around him, trying to catch anything that seemed out of place. the unexpected sound of approaching footfalls caused him to start and turn around instantly, rivlets of water still dripping from his maw. In the distance he could see a rather large dark-pelted figure, though he wasn't sure if he was visible to the stranger through the trees. Hackles bristling, his mind whirred through his possible courses of action. Squinting his glowing orbs to shield from the sun, the strange Varg was not one he could identify as being part of Koran. Was that red on his pelt? Blood, Kai mused. This definitely wasn't a character he would want hanging around the borders, not if he had killed someone, or something. You're blowing this out of proportion... he argued, That could be blood from anything. A rabbit, a Herla... he could be hurt! A soft whine escaped his maw that was audible only to him as he secretly started to panic. From a distance the stranger seemed heavily muscled and the fight would be well matched if one started. Taking one step forward, and then another, he advanced to meet the stranger. "State your name and business," he growled in a deep tone. It was the same line he used with every stranger he found over the Koran boundary. His young mind found it to be quite the mature thing to say in situations like these. His tail was now raised high in a dominant fashion as his hardened gaze searched for any clues he could uncover about the stranger.

The large cub froze as the booming vocals of a male penetrated Monster’s large, far auds. A rush of fear flooded Monster’s body, the vocals weren’t exactly welcoming. Turning his head slightly, silver oculars laid upon a built ebon form with glowing amber eyes. Monster gazed at the man’s left shoulder, his knees bending a little as his ears once more rolled against his thick cranium. He was determined to show submissiveness, that much he could do. “I-I’m sorry mister,” Monster spoke, his voice quivering like it always did when approached by a stranger. He was rather shy, and often unsure of his situations.
“I didn’t mean to intrude, I must have missed the line-” Monster rambled. It just now occurred to him why this varg was here, this was his lands. ‘how could I be so stupid?’ Monster thought to himself. He was always doing something wrong, or forgetting something. After all, he was still just a cub, even if he was about nine months now. Some cubs develop slower than others, and Monster just happened to be one of those unluckily few.
The obese cub licked his lips before truly answering the man, as if unsure of his own name. “I guess- I mean, my name?” Monster stuttered, stepping back a paw. “I mean, my name, of course. I’m- I’m called Monster,” he replied finally, his gaze double taking from the mann’s features to his shoulder. Monster knew that this wasn’t his real name, but rather a name that was taken on soon after joining his aunt’s pack. The others would tease him, calling him “Monster”, and the name soon stuck. For being so little at the time, Monster never really remembered his true name, the name his mother had given him.
After taking a deep breath to calm himself, Monster started again. “A-and honestly, Mister-” he stuttered, not making much progress, “I m-mearly stumbled here, on accident. I’m no so s-sure of this land, it’s new to me,” he finished. True, he didn’t know much of the lands of Transylvania, having traveled here from a distant pack some moons ago. Still, Monster hoped this would satisfy the mann, and prayed that the mann wouldn’t attack him.

Kai saw only red at first as the beast approached. Though he showed no physical signs of fear, on the inside he was wondering if he could honestly handle this. The truth seemed to come all at once, catching him by surprise and overwhelming him. The overgrown brute stopped some yards away, his pose was now one of cowardice and regret. Amber eyes saw now that the crimson staining his pelt could not be blood; he had somehow managed to be born with the oddly hued pelt of black and red. Like Zhentee... he thought as his amber eyes widened at the resemblance.
The vocals of the stranger revealed him to be younger even than Kai; a pup. Instantly, he felt sorry for having scared him so badly, even if he was just doing his job. Lowering his tail from its dominant position and wiping the snarl from his face, he remained cautious as he approached the chubby pup. "Calm down, I'm not going to hurt you or anything. I'm not even mad, see?" Flashing a genuine smile, he hoped that the kid would be at least a little reassured. "It was a common mistake, Monster."Monster... what a horrible thing to be called. His heart sank just knowing that he had dubbed the poor cub that like so many others surely had. Judging by his neurotic personality and awkward appearance, Kai guessed that he had been faced with many problems in the past. Right then and there he knew that he had to help this kid, just as he had received help about two years earlier. Meeting his dismal grey gaze with his own shining golden eyes, he saw so much of his old self reflected in this new acquaintance.
He could feel his face grow warm as he heard the name 'Mister' being directed at him repeatedly. "Oh, for Fenris' sake, you don't have to call me 'Mister'. The name's Kai," he said, still smiling warmly. "Where were you headed to, anyway?" It then occurred to Kai that perhaps Monster hadn't been headed anywhere, since he wasn't familiar with the area, and he silently cursed himself for asking such a dumb question. Still, what if the similarities continued and this kid was in need of a home? What if he needed a family who would help care for him and who would love him, instead of criticize him for the things about him that could not be changed? "'Cause you know... if you needed a place to stay, I bet our Drappa would be more than happy to take you in. The Koran is a great place to live." Settling down on his haunches, he tilted his head and flashed his smile, as if to convince the youngster. It felt as though fate had brought them together, for it had been a red and ebony Dragga that had taken him in and introduced him to the Varg of Koran, and here he was, a grown Mann, trying to help a cub of the same color who was in need. In his heart, he hoped that he would agree to joining the same pack that had helped to shape him into the Mann he was today.
((Horrible post, horrible ending. I'm so sorry -_-))
The Drappa emerged from the deep shadows of the trees. She walked with a strong gait, her head held up and her tail waving high like a banner. Her dark brown pelt was dabbled by rays of sunlight that managed to break through the canopy above, making the scars on her shoulder and muzzle gleam. Black ears pricked at attention. Her gaze was rather stern but not unfriendly or intimidating. And her bright eyes peered out from her dark face like two yellow flames.
She had been taking a leisurely summer patrol of the area; to re-mark the boundaries as well as for her own love of wandering her beloved packlands. About halfway into her stroll, she had caught her Beta Male's scent, followed shortly by another varg's. As she came nearer, she managed to hear Kai's words, and had decided to step in to see who has come to the territories.
"Hello, Kai." She greeted the male formally, nodding her head to him. "I heard you from where I was walking. No trouble here, I hope."
She swung her head to the cub, a soft smile on her face. The cub's fur was a startling contrast of red and black- much like the late Zhentee's pelt pattern. Phantom flashed a quick glance to Kai. She knew how close he had been to the former Dragga of old Ge-rad, and she could tell that he too noticed the resemblance in the pup.
"Hello, young one," Phantom addressed the pup. "I see you've already met my Beta, Kai. I am Phantom, Drappa of Koran. Tell me, what is your name? And what brings one such as you into our borders?"

The large cub leaned back a little on the balls of his pads like a skittish caged dog, as the ebon male gave a soft flash of a smile. Monster knew he meant well, but he still felt a little skeptical. After all, this was his territory, and he could attack Monster at any time. But it wasn’t just the mann’s body language that made Monster skeptical, but the words he uttered. ‘Just a common mistake…’ what exactly did this mann mean by that? Monster though, taking the mann’s words out of context. He licked his muzzle nervously, as the varg introduced himself. So his name was Kai. “Sorry about that… Kai,” Monster replied softly, now looking into the mann’s features, as if trying to etch his face into memory. Calling another by their first name was most definitely odd for the young varg, for old habits were hard to break.
Upon hearing Kai’s invitation, Monster’s face glowed with excitement, his thick tail slowly wagging behind him for the first time this evening. “Really, Mister? You- you think so? You’re Drappa, she’ll be ok with me?” he said, become warmer and less timid toward the ebon dragga. “I mean, for a little while?” Monster added, remembering that this was just one varg out of the pack he met. The invitation had indeed lifted his spirits, but Monster was unsure if anyone else would tolerate him. What if they took one look at him, and came to the same conclusion as the others did? He was just a bad omen, sent from Wolfbane? Monster wined unconsciously to himself, his demeanor becoming gloomy once again as he remembered the last time he was with one who thought just that, he nearly got a cub killed. Never would he let that happen again, he couldn’t bare it. “that’s very kind of you Mister, but, not everyone may, you know... like me,” he said, with a small forced smile that looked real, his head regaining it’s normal poise onto of his shoulders.
Becoming a little more comfortable around Kai, Monster took a couple steps forward and gently plopped his fat rump upon the earth. He still took his distance somewhat seriously, but for so long he had craved attention and company. “I’m- I mean, I guess you can say I’m heading…” Monster stumbled on his words, trying to find an explanation as he looked up in a gaze of thought. True, he didn’t have an exact location or point of interest, and “away” wouldn’t be a good reply. He didn’t want to say he wasn’t sure where his paws took him, he would feel more foolish than he already was. “No where” was a stupid answer too, and not really true anyways. “Well, I-I guess the only word that would best fit, is “away”.” Monster replied, returning his gaze upon the ebon form in front of him. Though as soon as he did, he immediately regretted his reply, feeling the most foolish yet. Monster’s face flushed under his black fur as her turned his head, his auds flattened against his cranium in embarrassment. “I know, it’s stupid,” Monster grumbled, “But I guess I can’t explain it any other way.” Once again, Monster gave an optimistic smile.
“Indeed, Kai, it is,” came deep, female vocals from the shadows of the forest, making the pup jump in surprise. He was back on his paws, his tail once again between his legs as he cowered at this new figure. Indeed, it was a fae, one with a dark mud-colored coat, and several scars to tell the tale of a warrior. Though her poise was one of dominance and fearless, her gaint held of bit of elegance in it. It was most obvious to Monster that this had to be the Drappa Kai was talking about.
As she approached Kai, Monster sunk himself close to the earth, and took a few steps backward from his ebon companion, and hoped to stay hidden until the fae addressed him. Even the soft smile that flickered on her features didn’t bring much comfort to the cub, for if he were to be in trouble with anyone, it was the leader of the pack. Taking a gulp of air, Monster replied as best he could, his gray eyes gazing at the fae’s left shoulder. “I-I’m sorry, Miss, if I dis-disrupted you,” he sputtered. “I-I’m Monster, and I didn’t meant to trip the scent line Miss, it was an a-accident,” he finished, his voice growing increasingly soft at the end. Retelling the tale made him realize how extremely foolhardy he had been not to pay attention to his surroundings.

Just when it seemed the youth would remain fearful and mistrusting to the end of their conversation, something Kai had said made his face light up. Something within him had sparked to ignite a part of his personality that Kai guessed didn't get to see much of the world; it was the mention of home, of acceptance. Kai was sure he had not faced the same problems as this pup had, for he had been born with no defining features to set him apart from other cubs, not to mention he had been on his own until Zhentee had found him, and from then on he had been taken care of very well.
Relieved to see the change of heart in Monster, Kai grinned and nodded slowly. "I'm sure of it, and longer than a little while, too." He didn't care if he would have to go to Phantom personally to ensure the chubby cub's entrance into the pack. He felt as though he owed it to the god, and especially the pup that he finally get a good home. "Not like you?" he said in disbelief with a look of shock that was quickly followed by a grin. "Why on earth would you say that? The Varg of Koran are kind-hearted and welcoming. I assure you you have nothing to worry about." It was true that the Varg of the Koran were some of the best around, and he had little fear of Monster being rejected. "You may be surprised to find that you're not the only one who's different." One wolf in particular came to mind; a blue pup that had joined not too long ago with streaks of azure adorning his pelt. Giving another reassuring smile, he was pleased to see that he was making an impact on the youth. Already he seemed to be warming up to Kai; a good indication that he would adjust well to the pack life. All it would take was a little time.
As he parted his maw to speak to the youth again and express that he should give himself more credit than he had been, he caught a familiar scent on the air. Rising quickly to his feet he turned to see Phantom approaching. Dipping his head low in respect for his benevolent Drappa, he prayed to the gods that she would agree to take in the youth. "Good evening, Phantom," he replied, his voice strong as a warrior's should be. "No trouble at all. Actually, we were just taking about you.." He felt a bit embarrassed that he had allowed his Drappa to sneak up on them and overhear part of their conversation, though judging by Phantom's response to the black and red pup, she had already start to take a liking to him.
Turning back to the young gentleman he was surprised to see he had recoiled back into his previous stance of fear and degradation. His face became sad, for though he knew he had no reason to fear Phantom's presence, Monster was cowering as though she were a Balkan soldier. Settling down on his haunches again, he wrapped his tail around his paws in silence and offered another smile, giving Monster the chance to explain the situation to his Drappa.

“Talking about me?” Phantom asked, her black ears pricking with interest. “What’s the occasion?”
The Drappa looked at Kai for a moment, knowing that he had invited Monster to stay in Koran. She felt a swelling of pride for her Beta. Kai was the Koran Lead Warrior, and his skills in battle were balanced well with his kind heart. It was just one more reason that would make him a wonderful Dragga one day.
“I-I’m Monster, and I didn’t meant to trip the scent line Miss, it was an a-accident,” the black and red cub spoke up. Phantom’s brow furrowed ever so slightly at his meekness. Surely, this cub didn’t deserve the awful title of “Monster.” He was far too docile and polite to be called such a thing. In fact, he reminded Phantom of herself as a cub, after Tarkah had found her orphaned in the forests, just as scared as this roly-poly cub before her now. But with the stability of pack life, Phantom soon put her horrid past far behind her, and gained strength and confidence. She watched as other cubs like her followed the same path, and she saw the same potential in Monster’s chubby face.
Phantom looked to Kai once more, then addressed the pup once more, softly.
“Not to worry, Monster. There’s no harm done.” She stepped forward, lowered her head until she was nose-to-nose with Monster, and let her yellow eyes smile into his.
“And there’s certainly nothing here in Koran to be so fearful of.”

//It's been a while since I posted here and I might be just a tad off, sorry for that ^^;//
Hearing the reassuring vocals of Kai made Monster more comfortable, and even a little intrigued. Different? What exactly did this mean? Surely, for as long as his paws beat upon the loose Earth he had never met another varg who was quite as different as him... but then again, who was he the judge the world he knew little of, outside his pack? ‘That's right, outside the pack’, Monster thought to himself reassuringly. He may have had a hard time back then, but this was a new place- and certainly a new chance to become something.
However, his involuntary behavior towards the brown Drappa of Koran had shown him little hope. Even though he was large for his size, he had always been rather submissive, certainly not the personality one would look for in a good strong pack member. Not to mention, why he was cowering in the first place- almost as if he expected some harsh lash from crossing the pack‘s territory without Tratto’s Blessing. Surely that was something to be punished for, at least in most packs. It didn’t matter in his land, at least to the packs that saw him. Maybe any other cub his age could have gotten away from the trouble- but never Monster.
Upon acknowledging and speaking to the chubby bicolor cub, this particular scarred Drappa didn’t show her fangs at Monster like the rest did. In fact, her gold gaze was rather warming and welcoming. It made Monster loosen up a bit, and not be so fearful of his situation. “Th-thank you, Miss,” Monster said in a low timid voice. He couldn’t help being so shy, no matter the company. It was something he would just have to grow out of, like most cubs his age. “Sh- surely I d-do not deserve such h-hospitality, but I appreciate it, n-none the less,” Monster finished respectfully shifting his large paws, his round bear like audits perked forward and his short tail wagging. “I promise, I- I won’t be a bother, I wo-won't stay very long, if-if you don't want me to.”
[Bio/Log] "Just close your eyes, and pretend that it's all just a bad dream. That's how I get by." -Jack, PotC3
His amber gaze fell knowingly upon his Drappa as the two of them waited for the awkward youth's response. He had seen her kindness and knew her disposition well, for it was clear to any that met her that she was a sagacious and benevolent mother with more wisdom than most Varg of equal age. He trusted her judgment and highly valued her opinion, and expected nothing less than the words he heard her speak to Monster. A simple smile on his maw revealed his satisfaction at her reaction to the troubled cub.
A sort of silent victory presided in his heart for the new life that awaited Monster, if only he would agree to it. Already the chubby pup's disposition had taken a turn for the better, his attitude had become less tense and a bit more relaxed as he allowed Kai's vocals to soothe him into a mild trust. "No one is undeserving of a home," Kai corrected him gently, being sure to keep any sense of sternness absent from his tone. "It's amazing what changes a little hospitality can bring about." With a side glance to Phantom, his smiling face turned again to Monster as he offered a friendly wink.
"I don't mean to speak for my Drappa," he began carefully, as not to impede upon the noble Fae's wishes, "But please believe me when I say that I would not mind at all if you decided to stay for a very long time." In his heart, he hoped that the youth would jump at the chance. It was although Kai needed him; needed to see him grow, to mature and be shown that the world was not such a cruel place after all. He liked to think that the cub may grow to need him too, just as the Beta himself had done with the similarly colored ebon and crimson Dragga of Ge-Rad. It was not only a sense of obligation that the mann felt, that due payment was in order for the kindness he had been shown as a cub by a Dragga who resembled the cub before him now (for who was to say that this timid youth was not Zhentee himself, reincarnate, and asking for the same guidance he had shown in his past life?), but also a sense of moral rightness. What sort of Varg would he be if he abandoned the very sense of regal benevolence and brotherhood his species was known for? Taking another long, almost pleading, look at Phantom, he finally turned to Monster and asked, "Monster," and here he paused, for the thought of addressing the poor pup as such left a bad taste in his mouth, "How would you feel about living in Koran, as one of the members?" His tell-tale smile beamed down at the boy as if a sign from above, and hoped that, regardless of the path he took, his decision would be made with his own best interests in mind.

The Drappa lifted her head at the cub’s stuttering response, her lips parting to speak once more, only for her Beta to begin speaking before she could utter a syllable. "I don't mean to speak for my Drappa," Kai opened his offer with those words, but Phantom found herself giving a solemn nod to Monster as Kai made his offer. Coincidentally enough, Kai was voicing the Drappa’s own thoughts,
The lengthy, beseeching look that the Lead Warrior flashed her made the smile return on her lips. Phantom nodded again, her grin widening. “Exactly my own thoughts, Kai.”
At length, she turned to the red-spattered youth. “So, Monster, what do you say? I myself, wandered into Koran as a lone cub, as you have, and I know how hard it is to be a Kerl so young. Koran is a wonderful place for a cub to grow up, and with spring ripening around us, it will only become even more beautiful. We will welcome you, and teach you all there is to know. And,” she cast a knowing look to Kai, “I’m sure Kai wouldn’t mind overseeing your training. You two seemed to have taken a shine to one another.”
Phantom lifted her tail, as if it were to seal her offer. “And remember: Koran is not only a pack, but a family. And we would be happy to have you join us.”

//May I join this post? Monster looks like such a sweety!! *Pinches Monster's cheeks* ;D//
It was a beautiful summer's eve, with Fenris smiling down upon them, his rays shining through the green transluscent leaves and casting a warming glow of dappled sunlight under the trees below. Squirrels ran about, chattering and leaping in between the branches. A slight wind picked up and ran its fingers through the long grass, creating a soft "shh" that seemed not eerie, but soothing. Honeybees buzzed among the wildflowers, collecting the nectar and spreading the pollen as they flew. Occasional hummingbirds were also seen flitting about one's periphial vision. All of the lera were out and about, enjoying the wondrous weather.
Sabla grinned happily as she travelled under the trees, the dappled sunshine making yellow spots appear on her fiery coat. She lifted her head into the wind, her fur ruffling and her nose taking in all the scents.
Hmm... Summer! She thought happily, feeling the warmth of Fenris on her eyelids, My favorite season of the year! She sniffed in the air, cocking her head when she smelled Kai, Phantom and a stranger's scent. I should go see who that is. She thought, trotting off in a tranquil state of mind, for a sunny summer day was like a drug to the wolf.
Sabla approached the vargs, nodding curtly to her drappa and situating herself behind Kai. She looked over to the stranger, curious.
A plump ebony pup with strange red markings sat nervously. Grinning, but still unsure. His eyes were shy, yet they shone and smiled as if he had just caught his first rabbit. He seems so happy... She thought, heart swelling for him. Yet so vulnerable.
She caught the last bit of the conversation as Phantom raised her tail high. “And remember: Koran is not only a pack, but a family. And we would be happy to have you join us.”
Sabla nodded subtly, as if agreeing with what the drappa said. She could remember when she first came, they had welcomed her in, and she felt they were as much of family as she had ever had. She would do anything for them, die for them if the case may be. For loyalty runs strong in a wolf's veins. She smiled encouragingly to the mann, also glad to see him as the pack's future.
//Wow... I really am 'out of shape.' *rubs forehead* Oi vey... //
"I'm Sabla. Who are you?"
"Me?" he asked. "My name is Tarmalo, nice to meetch ya Sabla."
//sorry this took so long, I have no internets and have been busy. But remember, Monster is still a cub, so he thinks like of child (woot for obvious!), if that kind of makes sence. Which, I think you’ll understand it better if you read it. And I’m sorry Sabla, but I couldn’t really add much since you came in at the end. ^^ Monster’s last post, sorry it's so short!//
The cub’s short puffy tail wagged bashfully at Kai’s kind words, it had been a long time since anyone had been so kind to him. Monster gave a shy smile, feeling more hopeful with every moment he spent with these fellow vargs. Just like a family, Monster though; he was sure that’s exactly what this pack was to each other.
Monster’s silver oculars brightened instantly with an intense glow about them, as his whole frame seemed to become straighter and more alert. “st-stay here? Like, in your pack? As a- as a f-f-family? Forever and ever?” the cub stuttered excitedly, his thick short tail wagging almost a mile a minute. It was obviously the cub not be asked twice, and was too excited to revert to his bashful self as another varg of Koran joined the trio. Her kind words just made the overly-excited cub even more sure of his answer, if that was even possible. “Th-thank you, thank you sooo much Misses, and Mister!” Monster bounced happily as he gave a sort of wobbly bow to each Phantom, Sabla and Kai as he addressed them. At this point his whole body seemed to be quivering, as if someone had injected caffeine strain into his circulatory system.
His eyes glowing with pride and compassion toward his new heros, Monster stood as tall (and tried to stay still) as he possibly could, his tail still wagging lovingly behind him. He was willing to follow his new Drappa and Beta to the ends of the earth, to do anything to please and gain their respect. From that point on, he vowed to himself he would stay out as trouble (knowingly, of course) and prove himself to be worthy of their love.
